Good Thai food rice is so fresh, not dry like some places I have been. My eggplant was a little salty, I did tell them not too salty. But is was great with jasmine rice. Quiet small atmosphere, no music like some places. The waitress was nice friendly. My Son took me here for dinner. Nice convenient and close to Silver cloud hotel. Wheelchair accessible too!
I’m not very impressed by Panwa Thai. We ordered the sweet and sour with chicken, the Pad Thai, and crab rangoon. The takeout containers are not adequate for keeping liquids contained, so one of our plates leaked onto the other, and I didn’t notice as I was taking the container out of the bag so the liquid spilled on me too. The sweet and sour plate had a lot of liquid with a small amount of rice and was mostly huge chunks of vegetables with only a few chicken pieces. Pad Thai was only okay, the flavor was flat and the noodles were stuck together. The crab rangoon, however, is delicious, though I think it could have more imitation crab inside. Order was ready quickly
as well.
I get takeout from this place regularly. Love the portion sizes here (lots of veggies!) and that rice is included with the entrées. Quality has been consistent.
Also FYI the spice level is on the conservative side (if you get 2-star spice level at other Thai restaurants, don’t be afraid to ask for 3-stars here)
I moved to Seattle two years ago and since then have been trying so many different Thai places for my favorite entree - yellow curry. This is by far the best restaurant I have found!!! The quality, spice, and amount of food all surpass my expectations and I will be ordering here from now on. Thank you!!
All the dishes were tasty and generatious portions. I got the eggplant with beef, pad thai with shrimp and tofu, and ton yum soup.
Tom yum soup is very large portion and very sour, just the way I like it. Eggplant and beef, beef pieces were bit dry but that is all the complaint I have. Pad thai is good, also. Pad thai us average sweetness which is bit too sweet for my taste, but they just come that way in American thai restaurants.
I now found my thai place in Seattle.
Good thai place here on Capitol hill. The kyoza and pineapple curry were great. Standard meat options with tofu steamed or fried for dishes on the menu. Portion size was good. Spicy level was good, you never know what you are going to get, but 3☆ had some heat. The servers were nice. Restaurant was clean not the fanciest bespoke thai place, but it was fairly priced. Will come again.
Best Thai curries in Seattle!
I don’t usually give a review of the places and also iam not a negative person but this forced to me they are full of hate and discrimination I don’t liked it at all
Never go to this place is mess and full of hate and discrimination against color people hey guy we are not in 80s come on u don’t believe we still see people like this
One of the worst place and they discriminate you without reason guys they are full of hate if when you are picking up order they won’t allow to use the restroom and the food zero
Tom Kha soup was very salted. Lots of non edible parts of grass. Paid 23$ (including 15% tips). I’m not going to visit this place anymore.
Customer service is very bad the guy who serve is a horrible guy who will never recommend this place 😭

Best tom kha I've had in the area. If you ask for high spice they really give it high spice which I love!
Food A+, service- the server/attendee was a bit rude. I mostly order takeaway from here and the food is always banging.
This is one of my go to Thai places in Seattle, great food and prices!
Every time I try to use the restroom she says it's closed. A place that discriminates against customers. I don’t accept sorry

Good food.
I had to go to the bathroom pretty bad. They looked me over and said I couldn't use their bathroom before I delivered food for them all the way to Northgate. My appearance wasn't in any sort of major disarray, but you can interpret what you want from their evaluation.
Maybe they need a visit from a city inspector for code violations. It seems like they are making their own rules.

Best Thai in Seattle!
Screw these guys. I'm a long time courier for them and they still don't let me use the bathroom. Their food is bad too. I feel like the pandemic really took a toll on them. Hoping they improve, but have to recommend avoiding.
Ordered delivery through Uber eats, food arrived in stapled shut bag. What looked to be a cockroach was inside the bag. It was alive and still crawling around inside a container that held my drink. Even if it was not in contact with any food the presence of the bug at all immediately tarnishes my opinion of what was a favorite spot to eat.
Though now having found a bug I feel sick thinking about it. I absolutely will not be returning.
Ordered via UberEats. Appreciate it was prepared quickly. Unfortunately, cannot recommend the beef mixed vegetable with peanut sauce. The beef was way overcooked and super dry. The portion was also really small, though I didn't mind given it wasn't good. Had the meal been good, everything else seemed fine -- maybe I'll give it another try with a different item in the future.
Best Thai food in the area. The drunken noodles and green curry chicken are especially good. The rice is also perfectly cooked. Excellent quality.
Lovely place near SU. Super fast lunch combos with good spice levels.
We did Uber eats and the green curry was one of my favorite in Seattle. The fresh rolls have a nice unique flavor do to using fresh basil in the fresh roll.
There was a piece of chicken in a tofu dish. Not cool.
Went in a few weeks ago on a Saturday around 3pm or so. Asked for a to go order, but realized it'd be more convenient to eat the food at the restaurant instead. When I asked the server/casher if I could eat at the restaurant instead, she said they couldn't change a to-go order to a dine-in order. It's literally scooping the food into a plate lol. Anyway, I asked if I could eat the food there in it's to-go packaging. She said no, customers can't eat to go orders in the restaurant. So then I asked for a refund. She then said they can't do refunds. It felt lowkey racist. AND THE FOOD IS MID. Never wasting my money there again. I don't recommend.
Literally recommend everything. Probably the most consistently delicious drunken noodles I’ve had in Seattle
The food is alright, but the staff aren’t very friendly, and if you go to dine in, note that they don’t have a bathroom, or at least that’s what they told us.
Have been my go-to Thai food place for a few years. I really love their Tom Yum soup, which is so far my favorite tom yum soup in Seattle area(even more tasty than some expensive Thai restaurant)
The employee was ridiculous and super rude. She just doesn’t know how to do her job. If you don’t want to work, just quit.
Hunger kicked in immediately after sunset, so I found some comforting red curry to combat the chill nipping at my heels. All that coconut cream goodness washed down with coconut water instead of the usual iced tea? Perfectly refreshing! No umami shocks, I promise!
The fried rice was very good and the wait was not too long. The Pad Thai has a lot to be desired but not terrible. Lobby was blocked by chairs for some reason.
On point 👌 Some of the better green curry avocado tofu I've had in my lifetime 🥑🥡🥢
Good thai place here on Capitol hill. The kyoza and pineapple curry were great. Standard meat options with tofu steamed or fried for dishes on the menu. Portion size was good. Loved my green curry seafood, 5*. First place on years that delivers five star heat!!! Fresh rolls were awesome, peanut sauce delicious. Close to Cherry Hill Swedish, nice to have delicious food so close to the hospital.
Got the green curry and it was delicious! Def recommend this place for an affordable yummy meal. Oh and the service was very quick!
I read the reviews and they all seemed pretty good so I decided to try it. I ordered red curry and a Thai iced tea to go. The flavor in the curry was great but they barely put chicken in it and also only gave a small portion of rice. And I try Thai iced tea at a lot of different places it definitely wasn’t my favorite here, don’t think I’d order again. But overall the food wasn’t too bad.
If you have been looking for a restaurant that actually has spicey thai food, look no further. Panwa is serious about what 5 stars means.
Delicious food, with lots of great vegetarian options, great prices, and they're super quick with take-out orders.
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I recommend this place
My go to for chicken phad thai! They always do a great job and are fast.
This Thai restaurant was very good. They had good customer service and quickly got our food out to us. They are currently doing social distancing so there's limited seating available.
very little meat and tastes bad
chicken tastes like cork
Easy online ordering and pickup. I've eaten a lot of Thai and this was good. We had the usual favorites of pad Thai, yellow and panang curries. In the crab and cheese wontons were good too. Be careful of spice level. A level 4 curry was pretty hot!
If you are vegan, vegetarian, or allergic to fish, I would recommend avoiding this place: they have unlabelled fish sauce in many dishes.
Second time I have gotten food here, I ordered the Tom Kha soup and while the meat and mushrooms were good, the soup base was so heavy on the coconut milk that it overwhelmed any of the tangy umami flavor and felt chalky and heavy in my mouth.
I also ordered the cucumber salad and found the cucumbers were SO bitter it was unsalvageable.
The pad see ew was good, but slightly over cooked which made it slightly gummy at the end but I had it delivered so maybe the delivery time affected it.
A favorite Thai spot for sure! Food is always prepared quickly and taste good! Perfect if you like spicy food!!!
Food is decent but they don't let delivery people or customers use the bathroom, in April, way after the pandemic restrictions have been lifted, but using covid as a reason to close facilities.
If we can pay, we can pee. Otherwise, you'll have to get a maximum of two stars from me.
Don't blame homeless people For the lack of bathroom if you and your employees can use it but patrons and delivery partners cannot.
I love their avocado green curry!! Always want to come here when I am heading through cap hill. Fast service & friendly staff
This is not a place for vegetarians at all. They had a short vegetarian menu, and all of it was so bad, we took the food home to cook it again. It put a big pause on our Thai food desire. It turned into an example of sometimes we make mistakes, and this is one. Not a place for vegetarians at all.
Hands down THE. BEST. THAI. IN. SEATTLE. & trust me I have tried many. For one the flavor is just out of this world, and two: the portions are very large and always have left overs. my order is Beef phad see ew Level 4 and I have never been disappointed, my friends also agree ☺️
Had a lunch special of salad, Phad Thai and tofu Tom Kha. The salad was shredded iceberg and a pinch of carrot. The Phad Thai had very few veggies, pale yellow color, and was sweet and congealed as if it had been drenched in corn syrup. The Tom Kha was delicious but def tasted like one star spicy rather than the three I’d ordered. It was $12, so maybe not bad if you’re looking for a veg or low-allergy lunch.
Staff was great.
I love Panwa! It’s my go to take out place right by Seattle University. The Fried Rice is great but my favorite is the Pad Thai. I have always got great service here and have been many times! Definitely recommend!
Horrible experience. The Pad Thai was so tough and hard to bite into. When we expressed this to the staff, she gave me a dirty look and argued with me at our table. After many back bad forths she finally took it back. The spring rolls weren’t tasty either. The basil tofu and fried rice were good. But, with the service and attitude being this poor, we won’t go back. Also they refused to provide spice such as chili flakes…a basic staple.
Awesome place we order here super regularly.
always tasty food in good portion sizes!
worst thai food in the neighborhood. tried this place for the first time and got the lunch special. the noodles were not cooked enough and super chewy, making them inedible. my partners pad thai was ok but the noodles were still chewy. overall this place is very lackluster for the price considering you have to order on your phone, there is unfinished wood in the dining area, and the wallpaper is falling off. oh and one of the restrooms is being used as a storage closet.
Serves food pretty fast tastes good!!
This place has the best green curry I’ve ever had in my life. I’d eat here every day if I could
Very good thai food .... fresh and spicy and tasty peanut butter sauce
Delicious, spicy, fresh!
I’ve been to Panwa Thai twice - first time no issues, great food, okay prices. Second time I called in and my order was misheard so I received food that I can’t eat due to dietary restrictions. I asked if I could swap out the entree for the correct one and was told that I had a chance to review the order when I signed the receipt so there was nothing they could do for me. I asked to order and pay for a side of the non-meat option I had originally requested and was told they couldn’t do that. I understand from a business perspective their rationale, but there is no reason to be rude about it.
A piece of hair in my food
First time i visit this place
I ordered the pad kee mow. It was tasty and yes good however about three thirds inyo my meal there was black color hair strand of about 2" in lenght. I know it wasnt mine because first it had been buried deep in the pad kee mow and because my hair is very very shorts. So yeah it was not at all pleasant to find such discovery.
That to me is a complete deal braker.
Green curry was amazing!
I’ve tried so many different pad thais around the Seattle area, and Panwa is by far the tastiest one! It also depends on the cook, sometimes it’s excellent, and sometimes it’s just good. But it never disappoints me.
Love this place, always fresh, always delicious!
Ugh, the best. My favorite Thai place in the city. Try the crab wontons or avocado green curry!!!
My experience with this restaurant was very poor. I ordered Pad See Ew on the phone. When I got the food at home, she misheard my order and gave me Pad Thai. I immediately called to see if they could fix the order. She responded said that there is nothing she can do. She could not remake the order for me, nor issue a refund. I asked to speak to the manager and she was the only one here. Would not recommend and come back.
Delicious food and friendly counter person! The set up was a little chaotic and they were short staffed but otherwise we had a nice time. A word of warning: carry out is better as the chairs are extremely uncomfortable
Overrated!!
Very tasty food and fast service. Offers online order and payment. Portions are generous.
Best pad see we I ever had
We are from Los Angeles California visiting the beautiful National Parks here at evergreen Washington. We were so hungry coming down and saw this place online. I would say, it's very good. We were all very satisfied and full. Thank you for the good service as well.
I'm in love with the Rama Noodle.
I've been here at least 15 times.
The food is affordable around $10-$15.
Service is excellent. Very smiley people :)
Food is flavorful and the portions are satisfying
My go-to Thai delivery. Love the spicy basil chicken, pad see ew, and fresh spring rolls
Really good yellow curry and yellow curry fried rice.
Love this place. This is mine good Thai neighbourhood place.
Good pineapple fried rice
Good food, fast service , fresh food
I ordered pad spicy pad Thai and it came undercooked and almost looking like a pho(very runny) and denied when asking for napkins then I called back to return the order and she hang up on me after hearing my complaints.
Spice levels not very high, ordered take out and the serving size was nice! About one and a half servings for the average joe.
These guys rock. Great service. Good people. Fast service. Always come back.
Best food best service you'll get at a Thai restaurant! Me and my husband and children eat there all the time. Staff is super-friendly, they remember your name and smile no matter how much pressure and stress in the kitchen or at the front desk they always have the time to say hi.
Fast service, great price, and the quality is always consistent. I don't order thai food anywhere else in capitol hill! I almost always get the tom kha, as well as the phad thai.
Fast service. Just had the Panang Curry and I feel like I have die and gone to heaven. So good!
Always pleased with their take out. Their pad Thai has tastes great. Flavorful and good sized servings.
Very tasty take away. The eggplant and basil was fantastic
THEIR PAD THAI IS SOOOO GOOD! This has been my go to place around Seattle university it's awesome
My experience with this restaurant was very poor. The food was soggy, the chicken looked like it was of very poor quality, it was very limp and disgusting. I was not able to eat it. When I brought it to their attention, they pretended they could not understand what I was saying and refused to correct the situation.
I have been ordering through Uber Eats during the Rona lockdown and the food is consistently good, they pay attention to the order details and remember their customers :) One of my favorite Thai spots in the city now! Highly recommend
This place is mostly frequented by college students from the nearby campus, and a little off the beaten path. I happened upon it by chance and thought the quality was great. (Take this from someone who has actually traveled to Thailand) Also, don’t miss the chance to try there avocado green curry, it delicious.
Spectacular food. Noodles and curries are particularly great. One of the few places around that is able and willing to make authentically spicy dishes.
This place does not ask if you want soft or fried tofu so make sure you specify!
Long wait period and not even full, also food was a bit salty
What I like the most about Panwa Thai is the affordability. Dishes here are all under $10, but you're not sacrificing quality for price. You get a good amount of food and great quality for just $10. We thought the dishes were going to be small so we ordered 3 dishes for 2 people but this was way more food than we needed!
As for the food, we ordered the pad see ew (3 stars), pad kee mao (5 star), and the garlic lover. The food here is delicious! I absolutely loved the pad see ew and the 3 star spice was perfect for it. It isn't too oily, had a great flavor and is among some of the best pad see ew I've had, which is surprising for only $10. The garlic lover dish was also really delicious and flavorful too if you like garlic.
However, the pad kee mao was unfortunately ruined by choosing 5 star spice. I warn you to not get the 5 star spice as it just tastes AWFUL. Literally the only thing you'll taste is spice and pepper, none of the actual food. I usually always order 5 stars on my thai food and love the spiciness, but when the spiciness completely drowns out the actual flavors of the food, this means they put way too much. Definitely recommend going with 4 or less.
The service here was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean but I kept noticing a ton of little fruit flies flying around our table, and even in the bathroom. Wasn't sure why there were so many in the restaurant but it was honestly a bit annoying to have to shoo them off every few mins.
Overall, Panwa Thai gets my vote for best affordable Thai restaurant! Prices here are cheaper than most places while still offering the same level of quality, if not even better. Food here is full of flavor as long as you don't get their 5 star spice level!
Fast service. Delicious food
Great curry and noodles! My go to spot and they are always quick with orders.
I was so disappointed. I've been looking for a regular, new "go to" Thai restaurant, as I'm new to this area. I had dinner delivered from Panwa Thai and it was flavorless and the "sauce" was runny. It may have just been an off night for them?
Nice tea , ok fried rice
(Delivery Review) A bit sparse on ingredients, but REALLY tasty! Important note: on the spicer side, even if you select mild (fair warning, still delicious)
I ordered the Panang Curry, Thai Iced Tea, and Gyoza.
The curry was really tasty, although it was very sparse on ingredients. There wasn’t a bunch of chicken and the only other ingredients were basil and peppers. Different from other Thai places I’ve had in the past, but it was still really tasty.
The Fried Gyoza were really good, no complaints. The Thai iced tea was good, but definitely on the stronger side (fair warning).
Over all: 4/5. Really good, but not the best. Worth the price though!
This is my go to for take out. Very kind and friendly staff and all around delicious food for a fair price.
We have tried out a loooot of Thai places in the greater Seattle area and though we have yet to have any that are just plain bad and they all have their up and downsides, we consistently come back to this one, not only because we live nearby but because it's honestly our favorite. They offer takeout or eat in, a cheaper (albeit slightly smaller portioned and more limited) lunch menu, dinner, and overall great food at a much better price to volume ration that a lot of other restaurants in the city.
Food waswexcellent and thetservice great. Such a fun waitress.
Great food so delicious and great service ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍love to come back here🤗🤗🤗
First thai restaurant I've been to since coming back from Thailand.
If you are vegan or vegetarian not the best place for you. When asked, they cannot remove egg or oyster sauce from most of their dishes. The service is friendly and the environment is nice, but they'll get much more business if they can make it more friendly for all people with allergies and sensitivities, especially in this neighborhood.
Great place for ok Thai food. Pretty small portions and inconsistent spiciness keep me on the fence. Also, they nickel and dime you for everything (extra peanut sauce is $2).
Adding that they need to hire more people. Thy need to have a bus person who’s looking after the dining room and cleaning up everything.
Could be great but typical Seattle to shirk on the easy stuff.
That peanut sauce!
Traditional flavor! Lovely service! Great prices! Will be back!
UPDATE: After some thought, I understood that they also need to make money so when I spoke to them on the phone they said the coconut shrimp and chicken sate were only available if you go to their location or order on Postmates. My family was in town visiting and we went into the restaurant where on all their menus they have the coconut shrimp and chicken sate. Well guess what?!! They said they were out!!! This is a shady run business. Remove the best food off the menu but still have it listed on all menus???? What a joke. I refuse to take my business here and no longer recommend Panwa Thai.
Used to be my favorite Thai restaurant but they stopped selling my favorite items for delivery so I won't be ordering anymore. They lost $200 a month in just my business and did not seem to care when I called and complained.
Excellent food and service.
Not bad
This is a favorite of mine. The food is reasonably priced (10-11 dollar range), very tasty, healthy, and comes out quick. Would recommend pad kee mao (drunken noodle)
sloooooow we, way understaffed all the time
Fabulous food and quick service. Very clean and delightful ambiance.
I came here for a late dinner on a weeknight with a friend and the place was almost dead, with a few customers but only 1 employee tending to the cashier & waiting the tables. Even though there weren't many people, the service was still good! I ordered the eggplant, pineapple curry, and the crab fried rice. Nothing that stood out of the ordinary, but it was definitely satisifying. I noticed that there were a fair amount of people who called in their orders in advance to pick them up to-go.
The food was average/above average, like any typical thai joint, at a decent pricepoint ($9-11 per dish). It was nice to see that the server brought us 2 servings of rice instead of just 1 that would normally come in the meal. Overall it was a nice neighboorhood thai joint right by Seattle U and if I was wanting something quick to go and I was in the vicinity, I wouldn't mind coming back!
My go to for pad thai in the Capitol hill area. Great, fast service with a dedicated staff.
My water was refilled 10 times. Service was amazing, the food spicy, and prices reasonable.
This cute little Thai place is a regular lunch stop for me, and I would recommend the Tom-Ka Soup. I am very picky about my soup, and theirs is the absolute best. Friendly staff, and they know what I am going to order :)
Great flavor and prices, comfy chairs and nice but not overdone atmosphere. They took a reservation for 4. The plates food is served on are so large they consume a lot of table space! Portions are reasonable. Vegetables with peanut sauce comes with the sauce on the side so the chicken was a bit dry.
Food was decent. Customer service was awful.
Prompt service and my water never got below half full. No complaints with the food either. Fresh ingredients and cooked just right. Can't go wrong with this place.
❤️ super fast and friendly wait staff. 👍 Pad Kee Mow with seafood and Thai tea. Like what I always order and it's good, but this is more of a good lunch option versus the best Thai you'll ever have.
Panwa offers consistently good and affordable food! The service is friendly and prompt. Be sure to try the lunch specials.
The quality of food is a steal for the price! Ever since I started coming in here the woman working the front desk has been so kind and always smilies. It’s one of my favorite places in Cap Hill!
