Familiar Thai curries & stir-fries, plus a wide sushi menu, served in a restored Victorian building.
I was introduced to Thai Palace the very first visit to Atlanta Georgia! Every single time I’ve been back I have made my special trip to Palace! I love love their Chicken Fried Rice and their Spring Rolls! Yes, I’m simple, but they are The BEST I’ve ever had at a Thai restaurant:) Highly Recommend⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My sister was craving Thai we had been here few yrs back and so we went . Service was pleasant , I luv the decor and old Town home . Food flavors were good we got a variety of meals between myself my sister and my two cousins . So we had an array of flavors my only complaint as far as food was the basil spring roll . I eat them everywhere there was very little flavor and the rice paper was way too thick for what I'm use too but otherwise everything was good .
First time eating here & it was so good! The vegetable fried rice is fluffy & flavorful! I got the shrimp w/ the spicy garlic sauce and it was amazing, my husband got the ribs and really enjoyed them! I cant wait to go back & dine inside
The food here is amazing. It's prepared fresh. We had green curry, Thai noodles, coconut soup, Thai tea, spring rolls, and fried rice. The food is authentic and good. This is a great place to go on a date or with the entire family. Location and parking are conveniently located. The staff is friendly and it's one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been in. You can dine inside or on the porch. The restaurant is a house so you'll feel right at home.
What a delightful place and Food. I stopped by for dinner on Thursday evening. I had green curry with chicken. It was perfect with a little spicy taste. The waitress was friendly and service was good.
I didn't see my favorite dessert on the menu. She said no problem we can make it. Mango sticky rice was outstanding. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I'll be back.
If a 10 star rating was an option, I'd give it.
The chicken noodle soup was surprisingly delicious 😋
Never had fried rice with raw onions. More like a bowl of unflavored steamed rice with some thawed shrimp. Not to mention they added a 4% convenience fee. This place used to be good.

At last my favorite restaurant is back to good
Great food and service!
Very fresh and tasty food. Good portions and very good service. The colonial home is beautiful! Not so crazy about the decor but understandable since it is a Thai restaurant.
We were seated fairly quickly. There was one waitress running around serving and bussing the tables. She was doing her best. The food wasn’t fresh. I got a sushi role and seaweed salad (think it was called wakem) and my husband got a shrimp dish. To be honest I had a piece of hair on both my dishes but not in my food and I didn’t want to make a big fuss so I just went with it. I know I know. I normally would’ve sent it back but was trying to just get through it. The shrimp was okay but the dish itself was cold in some places and hot in others. The dumplings seemed like they were frozen and just warmed up. My husband had something floating in his water and the glasses were extremely worn. Our son loves sushi so we wanted to test it out before we brought him. My husband said he actually prayed that we didn’t get sick from the food before we ate. We won’t be back 😔
My wife and I are celebrating our 23 year anniversary today!!!!! Our server, Melvin, made this a sweet occasion for us. The food was amazing and the customer service was impeccable. I highly recommend Thai Palace in Conyers, Ga.
Always 5 star. Food is delicious.
Visiting from NY, the server was very attentive, the food was delicious, I have stomach issues regularly so I was nervous, but the food was fulfilling and not at all heavy like in NYC, had a wonderful time!
The house rice is amazing and Veggie sushi The sweet tea is a little different, but it was still good 😊
The service was Melvin was impeccable!
He did an outstanding job in all facets of his occupation.
I look forward to coming back for the exceptional customer service.
Thank you 🙏🏾
Always the best in everything. They have amazing staff and the food is made from scratch fresh so dont expect it to be done in 2 minutes be patient and you will not be disappointed. Give this place a chance and come enjoy yourself. Shoutout to my friend Melvin he is really good at his job and always gives his 100% A-Game keep being awesome!
Friday night, understaffed, waited 15 minutes after seated to have order taken for party of one. Brought water out with a fly floating at the top so I got up, showed it to the older male gentleman, he looked at it carefully, he said nothing in return and I thanked him told him to please cancel my order and I left.
I’ve been visiting this restaurant for a number of years now. It’s always one of my top choices whenever I am in town. Great, friendly staff.
The ambiance is consistently pleasant, enhanced by the presence of soothing background music. The service provided is of a high standard, and the portions served are generous. The freshness of the sushi is evident, indicating the establishment's commitment to quality.

Very beautiful old victorian house with great food!
A hidden gem in Conyers. If you live in the Atlanta area, take the road trip to this excellent restaurant, located in a Victorian style home at the edge of historic Conyers. The casual, yet polished decor and atmosphere are warm and inviting. The service was excellent, and my server was in tune with my needs. The food was impeccable, and prepared in a timely manner. I lived in both San Francisco, and Seattle, where there's plenty of authentic Thai restaurants, and this one gives them a run for their money, in both quality, service.
Do yourself a favor, and take the trip through this excellent little restaurant.
This was my first time in and everything was DELICIOUS! They were able to work with special dietary needs with no issues and everything was 10/10. We'll be back!
It was a quaint, cozy, fantastic place I'd never been to. We had the sushi (& i am NOT a sushi girl) & some traditional Thai food & it was soooo delish!!! I love this place.. service, food, ambience 😘 the best!!!
Excellent duck!
I ordered Pad Woonsen (glass noodles with chicken and veggies) it was so good i didn't get to take a pic for this review lol. Cozy restaurant with an outdoor patio.
Staring with the positive.
The food was great. Sushi was fresh and the fried items were no greasy or over battered. The calamari and spring rolls are a great way to start your meal. They do not a full bar but a limited beer and wine menu.
Next the split.
The service was a toss up. Walked in and was told to seat myself (no problem with that), but we're I chose due to the size of the place was in the area a server was taking her break. She did not seem like she could be bothered to move or even to get water (might have been a shift change). The server that actually assisted our table was really good. Attentive, kind, quick, and gave good recommendations of the menu.
Now the for the minus.
It is small and old. It does not look like it has been updated since opening. It is a house and if you are not paying attention you will miss it. It could use a little sprucing up. It does have parking in the back and for this area is a plus.
I would go back for take out or order in Doordash. Would not go back to dine in.
I typically order take out from here for myself and staff at least twice a month. The food has always been good and I've never had any issues until yesterday when I decided to dine in for lunch alone. I got there for a late lunch around 3:30 pm. I was greeted by a young lady who told me to sit anywhere. I looked to my left and there was one party eating so I went to my right where no one was. So with me and the other couple there was a total of 3 people there. I ordered my food and got it pretty quickly. As I am eating one of my spring rolls I feel something really hard hit my tooth and pulled out a piece of plastic - it was like a plastic tie. I told my waitress and she said she didn't know where that came from because they don't have anything like that back there and she would get the manager. She then took the plastic on a piece of tissue with her to the back. A few minutes later she came back and said the manager was too busy to come and talk to me about what I found in my food and she would just remove the spring rolls. Again there was only 3 people here at the time so I am not sure why the manager was too busy to come and speak to me or at least apologize, as I would have appreciated that more than them giving a credit for the spring rolls but I thought this was very poor service and I will not be going back.
Very slow service and the food is either bland or way too spicy!
Delicious
We went here on a lark, thinking "let's spend a little money and get a GOOD meal, not just something quick. I'd never had pad Thai before, so I ordered it. Not impressed. Asked my wife (a Thai food nut) if it was supposed to taste like this and she laughed and said "baby I'm sorry but you still haven't had pad Thai."
Sushi was decent but overpriced. If you're not going to spend the time to smoke the salmon, don't call it smoked salmon roll and don't charge me 12$ for 8 pieces. Basil rolls were good - really interesting flavor profile.
Thai iced tea was good (a little too sweet), but 4$?? For tea and cream??? 4$? I'll take a water too please, thanks. Oh yeah, the waiter was super positive and polite, but my guy ... This is Georgia... In the summer.... It's hot. Keep that water coming, big man. There shouldn't be three empty glasses at my table, it was 5pm, there was ONE other table. What were you doing that was so all-fired important that your guests took a back seat? You out back catching pokemon or something?
Ultimately it cost me 90$ for a lackluster experience (with tip) and two to go boxes of disappointing noodles. Oh, yeah, it was just me, my wife and our 11 year old... almost 100$ out the door. I should have just spent 30$ at Wendy's or something, at least then I could EXPECT the disappointment.
The old house is cute though, I guess there is that.
Stopped in July 4th as it appeared to be the only restaurant open in town. Was surprised to find after we served drinks and left with our menus for a significant period of time that there was “no sushi today”. Despite the neon Sushi light in the front window and Thunder Roll on the specials board right when we walked in. 🤷🏼♀️ Apps were fried to perfection but bland. Spicy thai basil had zero spice, minimal flavor with cheap chewy cuts of meat. Husband ordered the ribs which were totally inedible. We would have mentioned it, but the waitress (who was very pleasant and friendly) didn’t return until it was time for the bill. Would not give this place a second chance.
I called for Massaman Curry and specifically asked the lady who answered the phone if they have cashews or peanuts inside. She reassured me, dispite the menu, that it's cashews. I asked her to check and she said she did. I asked if there was a back way out, as it was my first time, and was directed towards the kitchen. Not sure if the Owner would want customers randomly using the kitchen to exit the restaurant. I got home only to find peanuts.... smdh. Thanks. I called to let them know and the lady who answered was dry as paint. Won't waste my money again here and anyone else, check your order thoroughly before you leave. That was my mistake but won't happen again.
Dined outside the food was excellent but they only had 1 server but did the best they could with waitress and cook.
Took 45 minutes for our food to come out and there were only 2 other couples in the entire restaurant. The Pad Thai noodles were undercooked, only had 3 shrimp in it and chicken in it was dry and tough. We will never eat there again.
This is my favorite thai restaurant around, very friendly staff and food always great and authentic.
Delicious food and Great service!
Very pleasant experience here with my out of town guests.
Will go again some times. Prices are reasonable and food delicious 😋
We ordered ahead, and still had to wait 30min after we arrived to get our food! And there were 3 other people already there who were going through the same thing.
Not only was the food BomB. I Loved the atomosphere and intimate setting
Always enjoy their personalized service. Good food
Hire more staff! Last 4 times I've been with friends , we've had to wait 30+ minutes for anything : to order, our drinks, food, appetizers, refills etc etc....
Very good food and a popular restaurant in Conyers, but Thai Palace's staffing is inadequate for the oncoming summer rush. They need to do something about that. They had only ONE person working a full house!
We had a very large to go order for a film crew, and they did an amazing job! Quick and professional, they made it very easy for us
Honestly the portions are large but the food wasn’t what the description in the menu is. I ordered pad thai and got a bunch of noodles and bean sprouts with 4 pieces of shrimp. The woman that greeted us was fake nice and then copped an attitude at us when she didn’t get a tip from a pick up order. The converted home is beautiful but honestly that’s the only thing going for this place.
The rice here is really good. I got the shrimp fried rice and I’ve gotten it about 2 times in hopes that’s the shrimp will be good, but the shrimp is always nasty. No seasoning whatsoever. And it’s chewy. Customer service is okay.
Always love coming to this gem right in old town Conyers
They took a beautiful older style home and made this beautiful restaurant the food service every time doesn’t miss very affordable as well
Jimmy’s food is delicious! I’ve eaten herr many times and never had a less than A+ meal
The food prices are going up, but the service is sub-par. The food is just ok. It used to be so much better.
This place is great! Excellent food and service- highly recommend the soups, papaya salad, green curry and mango sticky rice! Delicious!!
I ordered the bbq chicken … the staff forgot to put it in the microwave before they served it to me. The chicken was cold!
Horrible la atención 😡😡😡los clientes se van porque no los atienden
Why are there eggs in dishes that don't state that on the menu? And I swear we got someone else's order as it didn't look anything like what I was expecting.
I ordered the basil duck to go. It was extremely disappointing. The duck was dry, cold, and had no flavor at all. For $30 the portion was very very small. I’ve ordered half portions of duck from many restaurants and the portion I recieved from this restaurant was a fraction of the usual portion It was very hard to believe that I received a half of a duck. The customer service, however was great!
Love the fried shrimp
My sister was craving Thai we had been here few yrs back and so we went . Service was pleasant , I luv the decor and old Town home . Food flavors were good we got a variety of meals between myself my sister and my two cousins . So we had an array of flavors my only complaint as far as food was the basil spring roll . I eat them everywhere there was very little flavor and the rice paper was way too thick for what I'm use too but otherwise everything was good .
All the dishes, silverware, cups were dirty. Would not recommend. Food was not that good. VERY SLOW SERVICE.
Great food and friendly staff
Good food, reasonable prices.
Portion size was notably smaller to all of us than the last time I was there in November. Waitress was pleasant. We didn’t feel rushed … taste was overall pleasant and enjoyed by my family, nothing stood out though. If the portions for the entrees remain at the current size I’m not sure if would be worth the price point for the curry dishes based on what we had. Still would try them again to see it this was a one off experience
I went only once but I can say that the food is fantastic. You just can't go wrong with the choices
Placed an online order, arrived at time they said it would be ready. 45 min later still waiting! For soup, basil rolls, and cucumber salad! I would have left if I hadn’t already paid! I WON’T be back!!
The food was outstanding. And the service was good.
Everything is excellent!
Some of the best fried rice and spring rolls!
My favorite Thai food in Conyers
They were very nice but the food was pretty unimpressive for the prices. Then when the bill came everything was more expensive than listed in the menu. It was way overpriced and the. For the sushi and Thai dish to not taste that great made the price even harder to stomach. The sushi nori was overly chewy the rice was undercooked for all dishes and the coconut soup had good flavor but was curdled/broken. I will say the man was very kind and attentive and the atmosphere/location was very appealing.
Cool waitress and hostess. Best food of it's kind in town. Affordable, which makes it a calm enjoyable experience.
Amazing ambiance! Fantastic food and the most welcoming host ever! We loved it
They have ruined the basil rolls😠 all the years I've been going there to get these rolls. They have never been served hot! Room temperature or cold has always been the way I've had them. It ruined the taste of them. NOT happy😠
Used to be good but every time we order sushi on ubereats it doesn’t come.
On 9/29/23 find this gem in Conyers, Ga after the restaurant I attempted to go to for lunch was closed preparing for dinner. Sat outside on the wrapped-around porch to enjoyed the scenery and the beautiful weather. The atmosphere inside was delightful. Ordered the Pad Woo Sen w/tofu $13.00 and Hot Sake $5.95. The portion was more than enough for two servings. The tofu tasted a little different then what I’m use to so for that give food 4 stars. However, I enjoyed. I will definitely visit this establishment again to explore other items on the menu. It’s always nice to find good Thai food in my area.
The food is always great here. It is easy to forget this place is here if you don’t come to Old Conyers often. I forgot to take pic of the food.
Went here and had a to go. The sign at the door said to wait for servers for to go. I waited and no one helped me. Two people walked in after me and a server immediately sat them. Then another woman walked in and immediately received help. I kind of had to just stop someone who looked busy to get help.
Such incredible and fresh food. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. This is going to become a regular place for me to frequent. We had the Basil rolls, salman nigiri, spicy thai spaghetti, and garlic and pepper shrimp. Can't wait to see what we have next time.
#authenticthai #datenight #incrediblefood
My family loves their food. It is so tasty, and the portion size is always leftovers; it, like many things, is even better warmed over.
The sushi is good, and the variety is a pretty good span of choices too. The service can sometimes be slow and we have encountered an occasional attitude from service staff - mostly when ordering in by phone and when the crowds are super large.
The food is excellent! We haven’t had Thai food this good since our favorite place in New York moved.
The best tasting Thai food around .
Been going there for years. the owner is very nice. The food is wonderful and the service is always good.
Had sushi, edamame, and papaya salad. Ordered take out near closing. Salad was not fresh and nor was the sushi. Edamame was not fresh. Very disappointed.
The food was alright not what I was expecting though. Service was very nice and attentive-went at a time it wasn’t very busy. The building has indoor and outdoor seating— inside the building they do not have ac and have a few small fans around the place (it really doesn’t help) it is SOO hot . The inside of the building also has this very noticeable smell as soon as you come in , it is not very pleasant to sit in a building with this constant musty old bathroom like smell lol. Oh and if you ask for water to drink just know it is straight tap water…..no filtration.
This place was hot - not sure there was AC. Wait staff was pleasant but understandably not enthusiastic. The food was so so. Cucumber salad was basically a bowl of sugar. Miso soup bland. Server didn't ask about level of heat on the curry and that was also bland. The place wasn't full but there were several customers. A lot on the porch (we came for dinner). It's a very pleasant porch in cooler weather I bet.
We loved the place, the food and the service! Will definitely recommend!
The pad Thai and sweet spicy sauce was great. A bit pricey, especially the wine.
The structure would've been nice except there was no air conditioning except a window unit on a stand nearby which didn't help hardly at all. And there was a bad p-trap smell near the bathrooms. Not a great combo for 95 degree days. Definitely was sweating inside
Server was incredibly nice.
Went there with coworkers and we had a good time. Food and service were great.
I guess they aren't used to people asking for spicey Thai. Food was pretty decent. I was really hoping to get more of that Thai cuisine. Coconut soup was so-so.
Timing on appetizers was way off. They came at the end of the meal, and I had to ask where they were.
Service was quite lacking. Server disappeared and only returned to drop food off. I would have liked a desert, but they never came back around.
I really liked the building and the lay out of the older home. The sushi bar was tucked away in a very efficient location.
If I could give -5 stars I would.
Flies are literally everywhere I killed one at our table because it was aggressively disturbing us while eating the worst food ever.…….
FALSE ADVERTISING prices claim it’s been “updated” but waitress confirmed they simply do not reflect the actual price.
Food is TASTELESS.
TURN AROUND! SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Food was okay. My main problem is when I went to pick up my food, it was double the price of what I initially thought. When I asked the hostess about it, she said it hasn’t been updated in 4 years. Please update your website! It’s false advertising.
I love the food here. The noodles are always nice and spicy and the beer is cold. My only complaint is that the inside of the house doesn't smell the best. I'm not sure if it's the age of the house or something else but I usually sit outside when I go. They have great sushi options too!
Okay so I was there with about 25 people for dinner. The power went out but that never stopped the staff from rolling out the food which was delicious, everything was fantastic. I recommend this place for anyone who loves Thai food!
Service ok… but food is DELICIOUS! I go all the time…
Food is always hot and excellent. Love the Pad Thai
Over all I'd go again. I came to visit family that live in Conyers and they recommended this place. Pros: the food was FAST and very tasty. The staff was very friendly. There's covered outdoor seating. Cons: The location is a little older. It has a layer of dirt that would need a DEEP DEEP clean, floors and table are a thick sticky. It also smells old. The parking isn't really clear.
Don't eat sushi but my friend does
Friendly staff and good food.
Go to for good Thai in the Conyers area
Great tye good in an old Victorian home. Great food. SUPER PRICES. Great service. Wouldn't complain if I could.
I am handicapped, so I now have to call and pickup my order because doordash no longer show my regular order in their app. The restaurant personnel have been very considerate in bringing my order out to my vehicle once it's completed, so I don't have to take my walker out just to retrieve the order. As for the food, it is ALWAYS done to perfection.
Very decent Thai for a reasonable price. Friendly & fast service!
Great all around experience
Food Service and atmosphere
Thai Palace used to be great but it has quickly declined. I understand that the quality of food at a lot of restaurants has changed since 2000. One of the things that I originally liked about Thai Palace was the 100 health food inspection score. I soon discovered that this score was their old score and that their new score is lower but they continue to display their old score. Check the Health Inspection website for yourself. The final straw was finding a roach in our Massaman Curry take out. I am officially done with Thai Palace. Roaches in food, fake health scores and poor quality food. There has been questionable customer service but I let it pass because the host / server was pregnant at the time. I suggest finding another restaurant.
I got several dishes including sushi, papaya salad and spring rolls. I was disappointed with the sushi. It didn't taste fresh. The food was over priced in comparison to other places I've been to in the area that had better quality. The decor was a bit drab and outdated. Overall it was just an okay experience. I probably wouldn't return simply because I know of other Thai places with better food and better prices. The service was pretty good though. Everyone I met that worked there was very pleasant.
Coconut soup!
Did not feel comfortable here. Had to pay $5 or $7 more here than closer to Gwinnett County. Also, there was urine on the toilet seat and the sushi was not anything special. I'm not lying. I won't be back.
Food always served hot & tasty ..server Andy was 👍
The food is consistently good. I’ve never had an issue. Great service too!
We went here for our Valentine’s dinner. The wait for a table for 2 was 49mins. It appeared to be 2 waitresses and the manager on staff and there were several tables available. When we were seated the waitress was pleasant and took our order. Our appetizers came out really fast but our actual order took very long to come out. My Thai noodles came out first and I was able to almost finish my entree before the first sushi roll came out. I believe they forgot about our order and that’s why it was brought to the table late. We couldn’t eat our dinner together. The manager removed our sexy lady sushi roll off the bill. However the food was cooked very well and tasted great but the service could use room for improvement. I would recommend this for the food. Order out if you are in a rush. Nice building for downtown Conyers.
Always excellent good and service in a beautiful historic building. I highly recommend Thai Palace.
They added a 20℅ tip automatically but food was good
I've been coming here with my family since I was little. We even went to their previous location. This is my favorite Thai place.
Late lunch on NYE. Amazingly friendly and attentive service! Quaint atmosphere. I agree with the reviewer who compared it to a grandmother's home. Unlike him, I like that.
The food I ordered was just ok. Spicy catfish, as others stated, was not spicy. Boiled eggs on Thai salad tasted like they had sat in refrigerator too long.
This place is awesome. a touch of American/Asian decorations and Food. Service is professional i would definitely recommend this spot for a quick lunch or a romantic dinner
Dinner twice a month. Great food. Great people!
I’m giving two stars as they haven’t updated prices on their online site in FOREVER! I order online only to be told my order was not received( this usually doesn’t happen) but tried placing my order there and the price was $5 dollars higher then on their site. Highly disappointed as I’ve ordered multiple times here just to find this out today.
Delicious.
After being seated, we weren’t given menus. After getting menus, we waited another 20 minutes to have our order taken only for half of our order to be served. There were two other tables nearby with 6+ people who gave their order at the same time and their food came out before ours. Overall service and food was 1star. Will not be returning.
Ordered the Spicy Basil Beef with Fried rice. There was nothing spicy about the sauce and the beef looked as if it was thawed out in hot water and cooked for 5 minutes and a watery sauce thrown on the meat. Very distasteful and a pure disappointment from my previous visits.
Foodie will love it here 😋
Order the cashew shrimp and got hives 40 mins later. I am not allergic to seafood
One man was doing everything i.e. taking phone orders, serving customers on the porch, serving customers inside, going back and forth which left pick up customers and order to go customers like me waiting a very long time. My entree was hot but spring rolls were cold like they had been cooked and got cold waiting for the entree to get cooked. After all that, the food was just average. I went on a recommendation from a coworker. I probably won't go back.
My favorite sushi spot. I've always passed this restaurant and never went in. I was at work and my coworker ordered sushi and to my surprise it was actually good. I'm not a sushi fanatic but I'm telling you baby I got hooked that's how good it was. Definitely ordering again. Oh and service was excellent also
This place is amazing. The food is great. The outdoor atmosphere is great.
Update as of 10.18.22: Food is getting more and more bland every visit. There is nothing remotely spicy about the spicy fried rice or noodles, they're barely seasoned with anything. The vegetables don't seem like they're cooked with the rice just thrown on top, just as unseasoned as the rice. My family used to love this place now it's only good for Thai tea (and they don't even have tapioca pearls)
Love that this restaurant is setup in an old historical home. I had the spring rolls, Panang Curry, and Thai tea. Everything was delicious!
