My stepdaughter chose this place for lunch on a Saturday as we were headed home from Amish Country. It wasn’t bad at all. The server was very friendly and helpful. The sushi and General Tso’s Chicken were both pretty good. The atmosphere was simple but nice. All in all, I’d recommend it but it’s not really my kind of place. Good experience, though.

I ordered the shrimp tempura and spicy California roll. Shrimp tempura roll was okay but I only ordered it because I needed a cooked roll due to pregnancy… so I wouldn’t get it again. HOWEVER the spicy California roll was exactly what I wanted and needed. My friend ordered the sweet potato roll and let me try some and that roll will definitely be part of my order next time! Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is BYOB.

They also have some of the prime fish on display and an open sushi bar/kitchen which was cool to watch if you sit facing toward them.

Been to many of the sushi and Asian restaurants in the Lancaster area, but YUZU is our fav. Was told about it by a friend a few years ago and have become regulars.

We always get crab rangoon, sushi rolls, and the drunken noodles. Drunken noodles are the absolute best. So fresh, and they will always customize your spice level. Will sometimes do the chicken or the shrimp with the noodles as well and they are always cooked just right.

We talked with the owner this last visit and heard about their story and how they started the restaurant. Came from the NYC restaurant scene. Very friendly. Gave us a complimentary dessert (fried banana w/ whipped cream).

The location is a bit hidden across from the train station and makes it tricky to find, but YUZU is a gem.

IMHO, this is not an Asian, but rather Japanese restaurant. Food was below average, service was OK, and the place could have been cleaner. We won't come back.

Food had delicious flavor especially japanese hibachi noodles and basil fried rice. We only tried 1 sushi roll as appetizer so we will need try more to further review.

I am so sad writing this. Yuzu used to be my favorite, but after tonight I don't know if I'll be going back.
The sushi was extremely fishy, and not just like fish fishy, but fishy to the point that I had to spit it out. Pretty much everything that had fish in it had the same taste. The crab rangoon didn't really have any crab in it which might be a good thing cuz the things that did, did not taste edible, & I don't know if the cream cheese in the crab rangoon had turned already or what, but it was extremely sour.
I spent over $100 on food and most of it was inedible.

We called ahead and asked if we could do a surprise birthday for our friend, and they were very accommodating and even helped us tape up balloons and a birthday sign on the wall. Food was pretty good too.

This is by far our favorite sushi spot. As regulars, we’re always greeted by the owners, Harry and Jessica, and we absolutely love the sushi rolls, miso soup, and all the appetizers. We don’t live nearby, but consistently make the trip to Lancaster to eat here. Recommend you give it a try if you haven’t yet.

Such a hidden gem. I stop here every time I am in the area. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and on it! I have tried many of their appetizers, entrees (the red or green curry are my favorite), and sashimi. You cannot go wrong here - everything is so good! They have later hours which is nice....So many places close so early in Lancaster. Highly recommend.

Best drunken noodles in Lancaster!

This is my go to place for Japanese food outside of hibachi. I think their gyoza is top notch, their sushi is great and the pad Thai (while not being Japanese) is very good too. They offer hibachi style meals as well, but I personally would spend a little extra and get the experience and larger portions by going to an actual hibachi restaurant. That being said, literally every item in the menu is very good at Yuzu. They play a Japanese Lo-fi mix every time I've been there and it adds to the cool atmosphere while not being distracting or making conversation difficult. The only times I don't get Yuzu when I want Japanese food are the times they are closed, which if you live in Lancaster, you know that is a part of life with all restaurants in town.

Went to Lancaster about a month ago and the food and service were excellent. My favorite roll was the House Special Roll and seafood special roll. If you’re looking for fresh sushi this is the spot. Definitely coming back.

This is by far the worst Asian/Japanese restaurant we have ever visited in this area. First of all, they used the word “caviar” in their menu, which is deceiving because what they give you is the flying fish roe. The word “caviar” is/should not be carelessly used in a restaurant because it typically refers to the eggs from sturgeon fish or beluga and the like. Secondly, they claim to use lobster salad in their sushi rolls; however, what they use is actually crawfish meat rather than lobster. There’s a huge difference between the two. Thirdly, their sushi rice is very dry and lacks flavors. Lastly, the server was really terrible. He made us feel unwelcomed and didn’t care for the questions we asked him. He didn’t ask us if we were finished before removing the plate abruptly. We didn’t ask to see a menu for dessert, and he literally dropped the menu on our table and ask us to let him know what desserts we would like. Needless to say, we will not be going back there ever again.

I've eaten at Yuzu I would say about 5 times now, and every single time the food and the service has been amazing. The waiters are extremely attentive, Harry is very kind, and I've never gone home with a bad taste in my mouth. I will always frequent every time I'm visiting town. The sushi was well-priced considering that it's a more expensive cuisine, and the quality of the food was absolutely delivered.

We used to enjoy YUZU for the past couple years but unfortunately, we won’t go back. I’ve been a server for almost 30 years. We dined there recently and the service was very slow. We had to ask for everything. When I serve, I try to predict what will be needed and get it beforehand. Sushi is expensive so the bill was high. We left a 13.5% tip which I think is around average but again, the service was slow and the sushi rolls fell apart every time we picked them up. When we paid, the owner or cashier, tip shamed us and said we should leave more. I’ve never in 30 years approached someone about the amount of my tip. Tips are based on performance for the most part. Some people use a higher scale than most but 15% is or was average. We had sub par service and left 13.5%, I feel was fair. But to embarrass your customers because YOU think they should tip the server more is ridiculous. I wouldn’t have the nerve to do that to my customers and I feel like the management would care more that they lost repeat customers. Needless to say, we won’t go back.

Everything I ate was delicious. My server (Mike) and the chef were both great and friendly.

Found hair in my food, manager could care less. Offered me 25% off on the dish? Keep the charity and put it towards hair nets for the cooks. I will not dine there again.

The beef negimaki, roti, and steak hibachi are standouts. They are bit small, portion wise, though. I do not eat sushi, so I just get a selection of small plates. Definitely reccomend visiting.

A little disappointed after reading on line reviews. Can't recommend veg rolls...too much roll and very little filling. Fried rice average . Would try another visit however.

Slow service. Waited 50 minutes for food while parties seated after us were served. Lame excuses. ' it's coming ' " just a few more minutes" while take out orders took priority. Called manager. Blame shifted back on customers for not complaining louder. How stupid is that.? Food was mediocre and serving over spiced generals tso chicken to a child shows how lax they are. Don't waste your time. Follow up. Day after my review and phone call to the manager the owner called me at my home. Apologize profusely and said there was no excuse for the experience my wife and daughter had. Very apologetic seemed very sincere and offered us another opportunity to dine. On this basis and with the stated claim that she normally managed and that this person who we had an issue with was a stand-in, I'm inclined to give them another try and Report back.

The best reason to use the Amtrak station in Lancaster is that The Comic Store and Yuzu are across the street. The food and service at Yuzu are both absolutely top notch. I love this place.

I'm updating my review because unfortunately we will no longer be coming back. the man that was our server was super slow. It took over 30 minutes for our food. Finally when our food arrived ( which was sitting on the counter for five minutes before we got it) our portions were tiny. We both left hungry. Not ok for the price and someone please tell me why two tiny pieces of avocado cost $4? Guys this place isn't worth it. They are kind enough here but that's it.

Had high reviews on google. Thought I would check it out, passed by it several times throughout the years. Glad I finally got to try it. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of what is on the menu. The food was amazingly tasty! Prices were spot on, I actually thought the sushi prices were very reasonable compared to some other places I have been in Lancaster.
It is a family run business and one of the owners, Jessica was very hospitable. I would definitely recommend Yuzu to friends and family.

Although i got prompt friendly service, whatever was on the host's phone seemed more important than customer service.

The hibachi fried rice tasted more like fried than rice. It had an unpleasant burnt (or unkept) grill taste.

The sushi wasn't much better. I got a basic California roll and a shrimp roll. However, the shrimp roll tasted like unwashed lettuce and easily fell apart(a pet peeve of mine). For future sushi, I'll stick to my other go-to.

While visiting Lancaster, we stopped in to Yuzu, and the Asian cuisine was very good. I had the shrimp, which was excellent. The server was friendly and very efficient. We will come again on our next trip to Lancaster.

Harry and Jessica work very hard to treat all as family here. The sushi is some of the best I've had in the area. The restaurant is cozy and warm. Their Thai Pepper Chicken is delicious and I have not found it at any other Asian restaurants.

Went on a Saturday at 5pm and got a table right away. We really liked the food and so did our two small kids. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was pretty quiet. We did BYOB with a bottle of wine. We had the crab rangoons and edamame for apps, and 2x kids Hibachi, and adult hibachi and an udon soup entree. They were all good. I think the shrimp hibachi was better than chicken. Nice spot in Lancaster, we’ll be back

As you walk in, you'll be greeted by the fresh sushi building station, that was a first indicator it was going to be good. And as expected our rolls were expertly made after we ordered them right there where we can see. The Wait staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The sushi was one of the best we've had, and prices were very reasonable. For even more bargain check out their lunch specials. Overall we were very satisfied and plan on visiting again.

I love this place! Excellent quality fish and sushi! They get the rice just right. The sushi rice has the perfect blend of rice vinegar and sugar so that's its ever so slightly sweet and sour and sticky. The salmon is wonderfully marbled and who knew that fish could melt in your mouth in that way! I regularly lunch here during the week and always want to go back! If you aren't really into raw fish, then the hibachi meals are wonderfully delicious as well.

Asked for extra spicy Drunken Noodles and they certainly delivered! Added several spicy peppers to kick it up and kept the great flavor while feeling the heat. 10/10 would recommend

Incredible food, amazing atmosphere! I called early on Friday, met with a friendly greeting, and made a reservation for our party of 12. She was only briefly hesitant, because she said we would have to wait, but we set the time anyway. When we got there our table was set and ready, we had the friendliest waitress!! So accommodating for our kids and their allergies. And the food was AMAZING. Such a great time, and there was barely any wait at all. We drove 40 minutes, and will absolutely be back.

First and last time eating here. I had the vegetable pad thai and my wife has Basil Shrimp. She asked the waiter if it was sweet before she ordered. He said no it's spicy not sweet. It was not spicy, it was infant sweet. My pad thai was great either. In general, they cook their vegan advance, they don't stir fry fresh so the vegetables are soggy. Big no-no for Asian cuisine. Hugely disappointed. I wanted it to be good but far from authentic or good.

On Sunday February 6th 2022 I witness a member of the kitchen staff beating his wife in the parking lot outside of the restaurant. This is grossly unacceptable.

Amazing food and great service will be back

Ate there last night with my wife, the reviews was very good that’s why we went and try it. I was very disappointed, we ordered appetizer first pepper seared tuna it took 45 minutes before we got it and the tuna was from refrigerator because was cold. They just sliced it and put sauce on it. This process won’t take 10 minutes to do it. The place was not that busy. Ordered Japanese noodles with duck and vegetables about a hour before we got our meals, over cooked noodles it came in small pieces and duck so dried. We don’t have a choice just to eat it because we are so hungry and don’t want to wait another hour. Ordered sushi was good not great . The people beside our table came after us and they knew them got their meals with in 20 minutes We ate so many Asian food in different countries , we know how different Asian food was done.
There’s a sign on the door that they short of staff be patient. We are patient until we other customers how fast they got their meals. The food not even authentic. Photos on the menu are totally different what they served not even close. I only think we really liked is wasabi they are real.

We waited 45 min for our appetizer which came 20 min after the salad which was part of our dinner. Sushi was okay. Nothing special. No taste. Wasabi was perfect. Japanese hibachi noodles with duck were mushy. Duck was pre cooked and laid on top. Skin hardly any meat. Table beside us were frequent customers who ordered the same star sushi. There’s was larger and came in 20 min not an hour and 15 min. There were 3 sushi staff 2 wait staff and 2 hostess/clean up. So the problem wasn’t understaffing. Waiter was very good but couldn’t do anything to help. I’ve had better sushi at Dragon Buffet. Will not return. Very disappointing. It was not full. They did have some take out which obviously took priority over dine in. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Tuesday dinner was my first time here but the restaurant was closed. Seems to be staff reasons and needs to be cleaned up. Tonight we entered the restaurant, which is more like a family restaurant, no liquor license, only drinks, I asked for a vegetable soup and it was delicious. Love Japanese sushi and grilled variety of seafood rolls, I like to try the taste from different restaurants, was disappointed tonight, their seafood rolls are not grilled, which is not my taste.

Prices are about $15.00...... Very fair as the serving sizes are quiet large. This place is across from the Amtrak station there in Lancaster County.

I love this place. Their food is consistently great. I take my out of town guests here and some company functions. You see them making your rolls which I enjoy because I know the conditions and cleanliness it was prepared in. This is the only place in Lancaster I will eat Asian cuisine.

Consistently good. I've picked up, had sushi delivered (through DoorDash) and dined in. Most recently dined in. It was a busy night. They told us, upfront, that they (like all restaurants, right now) were short staffed and it could take longer than normal. They served items as they were ready. Didn't seem to take long. Staff members were attentive, professional and courteous. The sushi was delicious with a lot of choices. Plenty of well-lit off-street parking. Easy in, easy out. Right across from train station, if traveling. Right next to an escape room if on a date.

I have eaten around the world. Lancaster PA has a silent little place in this restaurant. First class and flavor. The staff is excellent. I have not enjoyed a meal this much in a long time. You need to check them out.

Worst service I’ve ever had. I was in this spot two days ago and everything was fine. But today it was beyond bad! Food took an hour, wrong soup and one of our plates was given to the table next to us because they were “the friends of the owners son”. Never again and it’s very shameful when they try to give silly reasons rather than fixing the issues in a professional way. What a shame!

Oh my! We waited over 2 hours for our dinner and they were cold!

Delicious sushi and Japanese dishes—really vegan friendly! I’ve had both takeout and dine-in multiple times and always enjoy it. The Panang Curry and Sweet Potato Roll are my two fav dishes.

First time here and it was amazing. I had the bento box. Only $10 and it was the perfect amount of food. I'll be coming back!

Yuzu uses fresh seafood which makes for some darn tasty sushi and sashimi! Their Kano salad is a must, as well. The establishment is very clean and service friendly.

The Sushi here is very tasty. The spicy roles are actually spicy!!!
Quality customer service is important to the managers at Yuzu. Don't forget to ask for extra ginger (if that's what you like) on to-go orders.
