Informal Thai restaurant serving traditional dishes in a calming setting, with delivery available.
We tried the pad Thai and bbq chicken along with the vegan Thai tea. The prices were very reasonable. The portions were very good and everything was very tasty. They have a large selection of lunch specials from 11-3 pm on the weekdays and combo specials from 4 pm to closing that we are interested in trying next time. The combo comes with an entree, a Thai tea or soda, wonton soup, egg roll and rice for the non-noodle dishes.
Mixed reviews hence “4” not “5”—
In in the restaurant dining experience was fantastic a 5+; very large portions, super flavorful, and of course great service. However, when I ordered online for pick up, the portions were very very small and the flavor was not there. Each of the pick up items I had notes for medium spice level, and to pack extra dry hot spices an extra chopsticks — none of that was packed; and the food was mild. The green curry was so sweet. I had to add pepper and garlic and salt on my own at home to tone down the sugary taste…
With so many choices in the neighborhood oppt’y and need to be much more consistent…
This place should be at the top of your list for thai food (or food in general for Culver City). The staff is very nice and attentive and the food comes out quickly. The portion sizes are massive if you eat in (and still adequate for take-out). If you're a spicy boy like me, then you'll love the level four or five spice -- although it's not for the faint of heart! The menu has great variety and my wife and I have yet to find something that we don't thoroughly enjoy. I also highly recommend their appetizer sampler with accompanying dipping sauce -- crunchy, crispy goodness!
Absolutely best in town. There are several nearby, but if you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine that takes you all the way to the flavorful sensation into Thailand herself, this is it. They can meet the high expectations of Thai wife and myself who visits Thailand many times.
Great food. Affordable. Great service
I did uber eats delivery for this shop, the staff was very friendly and foods look amazing. Would definitely return to try them myself sometimes.
Absolutely delicious every dish. Ordered pick up it was ready to go when I got there, friendly service a plus.
One of my favorite spots. Amazing service and incredible food.
We have been eating here for over 1 year. It is always great. Lots of variety.
I ordered the larb (something I eat frequently and love) and it was inedibly sweet. Other than that it was good, but there was clearly a mistake in preparing the dish. It had at least 2 times the normal amount of sugar. To the point that it tasted like a dessert. Which, for me, ruins the taste and the heathiness of the dish.
I love the vegan soup good pricing
Super friendly service and the duck curry is out of control delicious ! Will be back !!!
I love this Thai spot. They have $10 chicken pad thai on Tuesdays as well as a great combo deal every day during certain times. The combo includes an entree, wonton soup, egg roll, and choice of drink. I get the chicken pad Thai and Thai ice tea (you can get coconut milk for an up charge) and the food is tasty. The wonton soup comes out steaming hot and I like the broth. There is a free parking lot and plenty of indoor seating. Credit cards are accepted. I’d recommend coming here when you are craving some Thai food and want a reasonably priced yet filling meal.

The employee are rude, especially the one individual that picks up phone orders, no type of respect to customers, mediocre service, disrespectful attitude, loved this spot, food is good, but no reason to pay for service like this, understand now why this restaurant isn’t busy as it used to be, to be treated like this, absolutely unacceptable, many other restaurants in the area, same food better service, don’t waste your time or money on this restaurant
Discovered this place a few months ago. Have come back 4 times since for dinner. Never too crowded, service has always been friendly and entrees average about $15-16. Great price for a sit-down, nice meal.
Everyone has enjoyed themselves and their food.
Yum! And friendly too!
Excellent service. Alex was so attentive and friendly. Delicious dishes. Generous portions. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely return. Very good Happy Hour options.
Did an online order at their website and it made an error so the order was not correct and called straight after to cancel it.
They canceled it and I made a new order but I never got refunded for the original order.
I kept calling in every week and they said they would refund me but they never did which is such a scam! I gave up after calling them 5 times
I recommended not to do any online order with them!
Loved the place until this! Never going back
I love this place in our neighborhood, people are great and we always get the green curry chicken and the seafood soup 🥣🤤
I've been here several times, the food is decent but portions are small, we ordered Tum Yum Koong, it was $10 had 3 shrimp, a hand full of mushrooms but no other meat in about 12oz container. We also ordered red chickent curry for $16, hardly had any chicken in it as well, and 2 thai teas, some how came out to $45, we ended up getting tacos across the street since we were still hungry. There's several thai places around most likely we won't be back.

Tom Kha
We ordered takeout from here so can't really judge service or atmosphere. We ordered the panang curry, pad thai, cashew nut chicken, pad kra pao, and a shrimp and salmon curry. The panang curry and cashew nut chicken were better than the others. We all rated it fair at best. Was nice to try a new restaurant, but we won't order from here again.
Delicious well priced and comfortable!
The cleanliness, nice atmosphere and friendly staff made for a great experience. We had the drunken chow mien, massaman curry, and spicy bamboo and all were yummy.
They were very accommodating for our vegan preferences and the Som Tam (papaya salad) was great!
I always do takeout. Food is delicious, good size portions. The dumpling soup is great! I usually get pad Thai and pad see yew.
Excellent red curry lunch special! Lowkey atmosphere feels very comfortable and the food was reasonably priced. Everything looked and tasted high quality.
Delicious food, great service, and good portion sizes! Highly recommend!
Worst place to go. Never going back there! Went in for lunch with my husband, we saw the reviews and thought oh ok maybe it could be good. WRONG! shrimp on fried rice was old and tasted weird, we got the pork ribs. Big mistake! They were old, and the sauce they put on it was nasty. We got another dish and they tasted like cleaning supplies. Never going back. Waiter asked if we wanted the containers to put the food to go, I said no because the food was nasty. The flavor was disgusting. He just said OK. It's like he didn't even bother. I'm like nope. Rather drive. Little more towards marina/culver city and go to ekamai
We came on the weekend because they have lunch specials every day of the week! It was a big portion size and the combo special comes with a thai tea or other drink! The flavors were great, the spice level was excellent and the service was amazing. They are all so kind! It's also a clean, spacious atmosphere and on the weekend we had no issues finding parking in the lot.
Probably my favorite Thai restaurant - overall - in L.A. There are a few better ones (but at much, much higher prices, and much less convenient).
Tree House Thai:
~ is always consistent (I prefer restaurants where I know what I'm getting, and never have to be disappointed or surprised),
~ has a large selection (which includes not even one single dish I would hesitate to recommend),
~ always has the right attitude (super customer-friendly and appreciative),
~ and is truly low-priced, especially for the quality.
I have frequently ordered delivery, as well as pick-up, and I don't think they've ever gotten anything wrong or left anything out (for take-out from anywhere, that's pretty much a miracle).
I have spent a lot of time in Thailand, and it's truly impossible to get a bad meal anywhere in that country. Tree House Thai is my own little bit of Thailand cuisine, right down the road.
Thanks THT! You're the best :)
I been coming to this place 25+ years, even before it was Tree House Thai, I love it
The staff is somewhat friendly. Most likely not that welcoming
The fried calamari is a must have. The orange dipping sauce is delicous. I felt like the Pas Thai was missing something.
Ordered a pretty large order for 3 - $100 for takeout. Trusting it’s all correct, I paid and took it home. When I open the bag, I realize that they forgot an order of jasmine rice that comes with the order. How are you supposed to eat curry or crying tiger without rice? We decided to offer the one order of rice we had for the curry because we soon found out that the crying tiger dish was not edible. The meat was so dry and over-cooked (we didn’t specify how to cook the meat when we ordered). The 3 of us each tried a piece and couldn’t even bite it, let alone chew it. It tasted rubbery and hard - just not what a decently cooked steak or crying tiger meal should taste like. It was unfortunately very disappointing. Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the other food orders were okay, but to forget food and then have the food over-cooked so it all just had to be trashed, was frustrating.
Tried to come here for lunch. I walked in (as a solo diner) about 30 seconds after a couple (man+woman). It wasn’t busy at all and we were both sat immediately. The staff person (understandably) wrote down the order of the couple first. However, they then proceeded to put in their order to the kitchen. Then wait approx. 4 minutes to then carry out their appetizers. Then took down a beer order from the couple. Fulfilled that beer order to their table, and then gave a check to another diner… All of this before ever coming over to take any sort of order from me. And no, I wasn’t still browsing the menu or giving any sort of inclination to the staff that I wasn’t yet ready. I was sitting there, watching all of this occur with the menu closed. Please consider restructuring your order of operations when it comes to customer service.
Okay food, Okay staff. Nothing to write home about
This is our family’s favorite Thai food restaurant. The food is always good. A lot of their business is take-out, so it’s never hard to get a table. The atmosphere is super chill with not-too-loud ambient music. They have happy hour daily, and once or twice a week they have a live music set in the evening. Their lunch specials are a great value. Servers are always super polite. And since it’s upstairs with lots of windows, you have a great view of the neighborhood. It’s really a gem.
Best yellow curry I’ve ever had! Server was friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed the music despite it being American pop hits, I usually prefer some kind of authentic music, but they had good tunes on that I was actually jamming haha. Can’t wait to try other dishes !
Ordered delivery and got the Mongolian Beef. It was not Mongolian Beef rather beef and vegetables with some thin, bland sauce. No idea how they thought they could call it Mongolian Beef. It would be like ordering chicen alfredo and getting a very thin red sauce. That's how unlike it was to Mongolian Beef. The other items we ordered were mediocre at best.
Huge disappointment and massive waste of money. Add it to the list of bland, basic yet expensive Thai food on the Westside!
Called the restaurant and placed a take out order when I got home I realized the order was incorrect I called them again same person answered when asked about the order he was very rude and gave me an attitude saying it was my fault for not checking the order now I had to pay for it or eat what I got he was unwilling to rectify with a regular costumer until a manager took over and offered to take back the mistake item and get the correct one. Awful customer service :(
Good food, authentic Thai food
I ordered green curry from this place. They gave me red curry instead and it was full of red chilli flakes. The vegetables in the curry like bamboo shoots and eggplants were all raw. Very bad food. I would not order from them again.
Best Thai food in Los Angeles. Period.
Love how much care they put into the food, the live music, the service, etc. Fantastic vibe.
I went with my girlfriend and mom. I got the duck curry which is a favorite of mine. Here it was beautifully made. The curry broth(?) was creamy and had a depth of spices that ended with a bright acidic note from the pineapple and it was to die for.
My girlfriend got the pho and I’ve never seen her finish an entire pho bowl before.
My mother got the steamed fish dish with lime sauce and it was very light and easy to eat! Please come visit you will not be dissatisfied! Great service as well the server was very attentive.
Incredible flavours, underrated and fun spot for Thai. Good combos and happy hour deals
Excellent Thai food at a reasonable price point.
Great food here. We got three different dishes to share. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Will eat here again.
Good food even greater deals wongton soup Thai ice tea pad Thai and a spring rolll perfect
The atmosphere in nice and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately, the Tom Kha soup I ordered was one of the worst I've tried in my life.
Takeout order missing things…. I ordered an entree that literally says on the receipt of the pick up that it comes with Jasmin rice. I rice. Also - DONOT order their papaya salad. I don’t know if it’s because they forgot dressing, but it has zero flavor. Besides that, especially note that you want something spicy if you want a more authentic taste. My spicy basil was pretty decent. So hopibg. Y bad experience is more staff mistake instead of bad food….
My friend and I went to this place to eat because we
were craving Thai food. We got about five plates
when we were looking at the menu all of the prices
were about $15 per plate. When we ended up
getting our check it was almost $100 we were
wondering why it was so expensive and we checked
and saw that all of the plates were around $19. We
were disappointed on how they false advertised the
prices. And the food was not that good. The pad
Thai noodles had a weird rotten egg taste and a lot
of the food was bland. The only good thing here was
the Thai tea. Never gonna eat here again.
We are vegan and we have tried a lot of restaurants near by, however this one stands out. There’s a gentleman who takes your orders and he is by far the best customer oriented staff we have met here in LA. The food was delicious, moderately priced and had lots of options for vegans. We will visit here often. 🙏🏾
Absolutely best in town. There are several nearby, but if you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine that takes you all the way to the flavorful sensation into Thailand herself, this is it. They can meet the high expectations of Thai wife and myself who visits Thailand many times.
I love that they have a full vegan menu. I have tried many items, and have yet to be disappointed with what they offer. Yes I do wish they had a more expansive vegan menu with vegan carcass options, but they fact they have a vegan menu is huge. I hope to see vegan thai tea on the menu soon (:
Great accommodation.
The green curry and Panang where very watery. The food was delivered in containers that are too small and too thin to eat. Since we did not have plates.( Delivery is suppose to allow us to eat without extra containers, no?).. Utensils? Only fork.. How am i suppose to eat Curry with fork?
Thank you for having an Extra Noodle option its all Ive ever wanted. The Drunken Chowmein is so good it warrants always getting extra noods.
Great service, very reasonable price, but underwhelming Thai food (that is, if you are looking for authenticity).
Penang chicken curry: way too sweet, a bit watery, a ton of green peas and green/red bell peppers. This was the best dish.
Basil chicken: more like Chinese chicken stir fry. Hardly any basil to be found, yet more red/green bell peppers, carrots, onions, sliced chicken, and did I mention more bell peppers?
Som tum (Thai papaya salad): everything was there but Thai chilis were AWOL. Oh so bland.
Tom kha goong: so sour it tasted more like tom yum goong. Again, no spice, and just a ton of mushrooms.
I miss Black Canyon Coffee and S&P....
Found random pieces of scrambled egg in my Pad Thai. Vegans beware.
I have lived throwing distance from Tree House for many years. First time ordering from them. This restaurant will be my go to for Thai going forward! We ordered the combo appetizer, pad see u, and shrimp/crab curry. Omg the shrimp crab curry is my new favorite Thai dish! The pad see could have used more meat by otherwise I have no complaints. And level 3 is legitimately spicy. I’m in love! ❤️
Very good food.
Was surprised by the nice interior when I got inside. It had a nice trendy artistic vibe.
The food was pretty good. I got the Sate skewers and the pad see ewe noodles. The noodles were served in a big amount and were very tasty. The sate though was a little hard and tough to bite into.
Service was good, although seemed to be a bit undermanned. Only one person was incharge of waiting and dealing with the uber eats orders that kept coming.
All in all a very good experience for thai food. Wouldn't mind coming back to try their other dishes. Just be wary of the parking. It is decent but gets busy.
Best Thai in California. Im from the east coast and know good Thai food and this place is a must stop every time I am in LA.
Great place, great staff, reasonable prices!
BEWARE. The 'manager' wanted to scam me for 354$. She charged me 102 then procceeded to say she charged me the wrong amount. She tried to take away my card to 'refund' me my money but as soon as my husband saw what she was doing he took the card. She lied about the refund and the seperate charge. We are their regular costumers that come atleast once or twice a week for almost 4 years. Not only did she lied about that she lied about not being the manager when another co worker said SHE is the manager. She tried to make me sign for the other charges that were incorrect. The other young lady is the sweetest and shes the reason why i love going but the fact that the manager tried to steal money from me isnt ok! Please double check when you get charged please this is NOT ok.
Great food. Nice environment. Good for the value.
Great for take out. We ordered by phone and picked up the food. Shrimp fried rice, order was ready in 15 minutes
Worst Thai food I have ever had. 0 spice
Great food, great prices but so great of service Staff Is unfriendly.
((BEWARE))
Don't dare try to enjoy dinner a hour before they close they will not seat you they'll tell you to go only, really
ridiculous.
Do not come here the staff is very rude and nasty we came in at 9pm to eat dinner they close at 10 they refused me and my family saying we’re not open but clearly states they close at 10pm
They turned away great business I have been coming here for years
Not good they get 0 stars
What a shame
This place is a no go in my book
Do not go here
Came here at 9:00pm their open till 10pm told me that they can’t seat us very rude
Nice quiet restaurant with a nice ambiance. The place was very comfortable and the food came relatively quickly. The prices were very affordable and I'm glad I found this place. The staff was also attentive and very responsive. Would definitely come back.
I been dinning at this place for 3 years. But this week i was very disappointed at the bad customer service I received from the staff (NUI)
My waitress was no where to be found. So i had to remove the plates from my table so my family can enjoy the dinner. We ask for water and no one was serving us. We where the only family in the establishment.
Well after 15 minutes of waiting she came back with the tab and in the tab she added a 18% of Gratuity i told her that i felt that i did not get good service during our dinner why should i give a gratuity for bad service.
Her respond was that she was taken care of her child in the back. I was very surprise at her respond. At the end She did not remove that 18% i will never return to this location.
Bad serviced and the food was not like before.
If you have dine in at this location you will see the baby walking around the restaurant following his/her mother the waiters.
thats not safe for a child to be. 01/06/22
Wonderful food and very calm, relaxing atmosphere, which was so nice! I've been having trouble finding a restaurant here that doesn't have guests crammed in like a cafeteria and either loud music, making it impossible to have a conversation, or so noisy with absolutely no efforts at sound deadening features. The tofu curry was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised with the perfectly cooked shrimp and eggplant. We couldn't get enough! Tree House Thai Restaurant is one of the best kept secrets of West L.A.!
Unassuming Thai restaurant tucked away on Venice Blvd which surprised us with great food and service. So far, the orange chicken and pad thai are just the best, and we’re glad to have finally found a place which doesn’t the break the bank! All round great Thai place for those looking for more affordable options around Culver City.
Great food and very affordable. The staff are so kind and helpful. The food is delicious, this is the second time I went there and I am definitely coming back again:)
Great pad Thai, have eaten here over and over since moving in the neighborhood. Always fast and big portions as well.
Went to Tree House Thai with seven people. The place was pretty empty at Sunday 7pm. The food was good, the steamed fish with chili lime sauce was excellent. I'd give the food 4 stars. BUT the service was horrible. The waitress was dutiful but abrupt and not caring. Maybe she was tired and overworked. Also be very careful with the dishes that come on a burner as the flame on the device they use is impossible to put out at the table. They use a device that literally burns oil uncontrollably in a metal cup. The flame on our table was so huge it was boiling super rapidly the soup. We had to call out loudly for the waitress to return and she said the flame couldn't be reduced and took the whole thing back to the kitchen to be put out. I don't think the fire department would like this device. Luckily no one got hurt. The restaurant should change to safer burners if they want a flame at the table. And focus on better service
Great food, good portions, amazing deal
Love this place! I always do take out and they are so kind - give me extra sauces and stuff. My fav is panang curry (vegan) and thai ice tea! Five stars!
Muy rica comida !!
I've had dinner here a few times now and always thoroughly enjoy my meal as well as drinks from the bar. The atmosphere is laid back and low-key. It continually has been a decompressing experience every time I eat here, and I love it.
Noodles were OK, but I really did not like the curry. I got massaman curry, and it kinda tasted like ketchup.
Bad
Good food good service
Food was great and staff are very friendly.
Food was great, but they got my order wrong. I asked for shrimp in my green curry and paid extra for it. There wasn’t any protein in the curry at all.
Very nice...great service and the food was delicious
Amazing food - great flavors and so many options. We love that they have a vegan menu!! The vegan wontons and vegan dumplings are to die for. It’s so hard to find a place with good vegan dipping sauces, I’m so glad we found tree house Thai. This will be our go to Thai place. Great prices too
Great prices and really great taste. I had the Pad See Ewe and Dumplings. Very filling and savory.
My family and I have been going here for about 2 years now and everytime we have been extremely satisfied with the quality and portion sizes. They have wide variety of choices and are quick to take your order and serve it to you faster than most restaurants do. My favorite dish is the seafood coconut soup that is neither too sweet nor too sour as I have experienced in some other Thai places, as well as the pad thai with noodles that aren't too thick or thin. On top of that, we have yet to find an error in our order everytime we've been there, and they are very attentive in making sure we are enjoying our food, which is really great on their part. Overall, great quality, great price, and great service. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing pad Thai!!
I ordered the crying tiger beef and drunken noodle pork. The meat had been cooked hours before and was possibly tainted. I threw it out and called the restaurant. They asked me to pull it out of the trash and bring it back, I did, and was able to get a refund without a problem. Worst thai food I've ever had.
Portions were large but lacking flavor all together. Noodles and veggies in the noodle dishes were mushy. Yellow curry was extremely bland.
Hands down, they have the best wonton soup I have EVER had. All of us in the office order from Tree House Thai at least twice a month, and we have never had anything that isn't good. We always get the $16 lunch combo because it comes with wonton soup, a drink, rice, and an egg roll. I typically order the same two items...the yellow curry and the pad see ew, and both are really good too! My co-workers have tried various curries and have said how good it is.
Great food Staff are Very nice
Been going to Treehouse Thai for years food has always been consistently great
My go to neighborhood Thai place. Love that they have a vegan menu!
Ordered Uber eats from here the food was cold and tasteless I had to stir fry myself to make it edible.
New favorite Thai restaurant... Good food..
Nice people and nice surroundings at very fair price....We will be back!!
Reasonable prices and very tasty!
Great Thai food is all over la but this spot was friendly, great food, and parking. They have a vegan vegetarian menu if you ask and I dig that. I tried the veggie/tofu with spicy basil, and a coconut milk soup. Yum
The food is awesomeness
Our favorite Thai eatery! Great food at reasonable prices. They do takeout too!
Great
Ate here a couple days ago. Food was amazing.
I have been going there for a while every time the customer service is excellent the food is great literally excellent food but today when I was there, I asked for thai tea but never received my thai tea. They would give us 4 types of Sauce but nope didn't had that on my table. They only came once for getting the order but after they never checked in by asking if need anything else.
Food wasn't to bad, I'm from Las Vegas and our local thai restaurants are much better then the ones in Los Angeles
This place has outstanding menu and great taste. Everything taste soooooooo good. And the prices are reasonable.
Great food service was bummed about the papaya salad 🥗 did expected to be too sweet but overall the food is great definitely we will be coming back
Hands down soooo good!! Yummy! Service was excellent too. Great for large parties. 100% Recommended.
Three cops sitting
in the Tree House.
They must come here often.
A woman behind me
has dated a TV writer.
(She liked the first season.)
My noodles are spicy enough.
They were still missing something,
but I was hungry,
and it was what we needed.
Delicioso😘
Their combo special was so good! This has to be one of the best value Thai places in LA. The restaurant also has a cool view since it's on the second floor of the building. My boyfriend and I went here and would definitely go back!
Happy people serving delicious food swiftly.
Panama curry always is good and reliable! Delicious whether you are eating in or taking out. One of my weekly go to spots.
First time here and i was so pleased! Food was very flavorful!!! And I'm an extremely picky eater when it comes to Thai food. Highly recommend!!😋
Fast Service, and delicious food
Soooo yummy!!
Food was not good
MSG MSG MSG Also greasy and heavy.
It was excellent. Good portion to
Extremely rude service when an order is incorrect. Unwilling to rectify with a regular costumer. Will never order from this place again!! Awful :(
Fantastic lunch! I ordered the Combo Special for only $11.95. It included Pad See Ew, Egg Roll, Wonton Soup, and Thai Iced Coffee! Great deal and great food. Will be coming back!
