I have been craving chicken curry puffs and the only place i usually get them is queens, long island usually doesn’t have outstanding thai food but this place did amazing with the curry puff. The woman working recommended i put veggies in the puff so i tried it and it did not disappoint, the wings were cooked properly and I ordered everything for take out. I live about 11-15min away from this location and took another 10 to settle into my house and the food was still a good temperature and very tasty I will definitely be coming back here more often especially for the curry puffs
This is by far the best Thai food we've tried since moving to LI. It's delicious. Everything we've had, which is a lot as we go here all the time, is amazing. Full of flavor, right amount of spice and authentic. We always do take out. Can't recommend more
Update 11/16/2019: Since our first visit we got hooked with this place, we have been here atleast 12 times since then, and love this place more and more.
Original review: We were there yesterday just because we were passing by that neighborhood. I loved the place which has very down to earth look and feel. I have been to Thailand and this place reminds me of simple street corner restaurants in Thailand.. lady who served us is so friendly and sweet :) Food is excellent. Try Shrimp Red curry. Love it. Must go place. BYOB
After craving Thai food in the Merrick NY area, my wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant and was truly impressed by the quality of ingredients used and options available. For starters, we ordered the chicken curry puffs, shrimp in a blanket and chicken satay and they were all great! For our main course we ordered Shrimp Pad See Ew and Spicy Basil Chicken & Beef fried rice and was equally impressed. From the outside you could easily think this was a takeout Thai restaurant as it only has 16 seats and 6 tables. We were delighted we stopped to try it as we throughly enjoyed our meal and the service provided. If you are in the North Merrick/ Bellmore area we highly recommend trying this place out.
Atmosphere was very pleasing. Wish I could say the same about the food. Ordered Pad See Ew Noodles with beef. Everything was dry and hot like they heated the whole thing up in the microwave. Tasteless. Somehow they make the food smell good but can't figure out the rest. Spring rolls also smelled amazing. Only took a second bite because of the shock that the first bite was flavorless. Spring roll was crispy fresh but the contents inside were soggy and expired. Please learn to put some love in your food. It took 5 minutes for them to bring my food out which is FAST but I rather wait 15 minutes and have quality.
The mango curry chicken was an absolute delight, with a perfect blend of sweet mango and flavorful curry that made every bite delicious. Generous portions and great presentation made it a standout dish!
Don’t order unless you want to wait 1 hour extra for how long they said it will take.
Ordered the yellow thai curry, absolutely delicious. I will definitely order again.
EDIT Jan 14, 2022: Reduced to four stars because not once, but twice this month during a takeout order, they gave us chicken curry instead of tofu. Not great for the vegetarian.
2024 EDIT: Back up to five stars! They’ve never made the above mistake again, and we order from them a LOT. The food is still always delicious. Thanks!

The best Thai food in the area

Love the thai green curry. Always lives upto expectations and the only thai place that adds a huge variety of veggies in the curry. Delicious and nutritious!
Love the atmosphere, great hospitality and great food
Not there just keeps popping on my screen
Great, authentic Thai food experience. Got basil fried rice, pad kee mao and pad Thai
All delicious
Parri was very attentive as a server, took good care of us
If you ask for Thai spice it will actually be spicy
love thai food and coming from Queens, I've had my share of great and not so great. this place does it well! The chef special had so much flavor and was nice and hot. Thai ice tea was not too sweet which was great. we also had the fried rice which was good. the fried dumplings were so crispy and flavorful. the space is small but so cute and really accommodating
Amazing Thai food!! Curry was perfect.
I have been craving chicken curry puffs and the only place i usually get them is queens, long island usually doesn’t have outstanding thai food but this place did amazing with the curry puff. Their chicken and beef is dry like cardboard. Their food is not worth the cost.
I wish I could say the food was great, but unfortunately that is not the case. Thai food is my favorite. I usually order the same thing at every Thai restaurant I go to: pad thai, sticky rice desert, and thai ice tea. The pad thai was ok, but the sticky rice was not sweet at all and did not come with mango. The thai tea tasted like the half and half in the mixture was expired. I do not recommend ordering these items if you’re used to ordering it from other Thai restaurants. Besides that, the service was good.
A truly miserable takeout experience. Pad see-ew was burned. The entire dish tasted like an ashtray. Every bit of it – the noodles, the tofu, the broccoli, was inedible. It all tasted like smoke. How do you burn a Thai pasta dish? Apparently you throw some kind of sugary sauce into the noodles with the pan way too hot and presto your food has the delicious flavor of a house fire. This is an utter failure of quality control. These people are supposed to make Thai food for a living — they should be able to do it even when the kitchen is busy, without scalding a dish. But when they do ruin it it should never leave the kitchen. But here, no one is paying attention. We ordered the fried calamari and it was hermetically sealed in an airtight container with aluminum base and clear plastic lid, meaning that when the crispy calamari arrived 30 minutes later, it was soggy and limp and dripping with grease. When I called to complain about the noodle dish they did not offer the option of refunding my money but instead tried to tell me that they could send a new one. I had to ask to get the my credit card refunded. The conversation was exceedingly difficult because of a language barrier and the fact that there was blaring music which was so loud that the person I was talking to couldn’t understand anything I was trying to say to them. I was quite polite in this phone transaction but they were blasé and could have cared less. There was no offer to make it up to me as a customer by comping me or going above and beyond in any way. They simply credited y card and say goodbye. My family waited 35 minutes for food we couldn’t eat. Two of our dishes were a lost cause, and we couldn’t wait another 30 minutes so we made tuna fish sandwiches just to feel not hungry. I’ve had bad experiences with this place before, but this time sealed the deal. Never again. There are way too many decent Thai restaurants in the area to put up with a place like this
Great Thai food in Long Island.
I have been eating Thai food for almost 15 years. This is by far the worst Thai food I have ever tasted. I took 2 bites of their chicken pad Thai dish and spit it out. The food literally tasted like chemicals!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!
I work in the restaurant business for many years and been to dozens of thai restaurants but I have to say this place had the best food I’ve tried. The owner and staff are some the nicest people I’ve encountered definitely recommend to a friend!
I've been looking for a good Thai restaurant in the area ever since our favorite place in Hicksville closed (Jaiya). This place is even better. The flavors actually pop, unlike a lot of other local Thai places that seem more one-note. Also, their Thai spicy is actually proper spicy for once.
Good food and friendly staff.
The food always tastes so good, consistently! We get the green curry, spicy basil fried rice and spring rolls along with the soups. It's our regular , go to Thai spot 🔥🔥
I don’t care about the atmosphere because the food is nasty. We had Shrimp in a Blanket
two Chicken Wings, Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp and Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp. I think my Thai fried rice was spoiled it tasted weird so I did not eat it what a waste of $17.95 for this rice. The only thing that was okay was the Shrimp in a blanket. Not to mention my whole order came to $67.72 for this nasty food🤮🤮. I will never go their ago I will stick to Grace Thai 2 food is amazing.

This is an average Thai food spot. Food was tasty. Service was good. Cleanliness was average. Honestly, feels like eating in Thailand. Little bit of third world, little bit of modern.
I have ordered from this place for years and it never disappoints! As a vegan on Long Island, it's still kinda difficult finding places that respect this lifestyle. This restaurant makes sure to fit your dietary needs. Employees are wonderful and make sure you are taken care of!
Please avoid cross contamination
Did you water boil instead of steam the mix vegetables ?! And why there’s meat residues on my steam vegetables?! This is my first time order Ubereats from this restaurant though … I forget to add instructions that I’m vegan but why is steam vegetables not steam but water boil ?!?!?!
Truly authentic Thai. Friendly staff and yummy food, it’s the best!
Pad Thai, Pad see ew, yum woon sen are the best. I ordered those for many times. I’m Thai and here is my first choice on LI
First time ordering from this restaurant and it was delicious. My wife and I are both vegan. We ordered from the vegan/vegetarian menu via Uber Eats. Menu selection was large enough for us to have to take time to look at each item and chose which of them we wanted to try. After placing the order we called the restaurant to confirm all of the items would be vegan and the person answering the phone was friendly and knowledgeable enough to confirm the items ordered are vegan.
The order arrived within the estimated time frame and everything we tried met or exceeded our expectations.
We will definitely order from this restaurant again and give it our vegan/vegetarian friendly recommendation.
Food was flavorful and spiced properly and unfortunately, small portions. Service was great.
Very small portions, expensive and mediocre food.
Great food !!!
Best Thai food i had in a long time. Would go again. Friendly staff, authentic food. Asked for spicy food and finally got the spice level I expected. 5 stars! A must try!!
Great authentic Thai food !
I love the coconut soup and pineapple and cashew rice. Great options for vegans and vegetarians. Very friendly staff. I'm hooked.
I love Thai food. Drunken noodles is my fave. I must say this is the best drunken noodles I have eaten. Everything that I ordered was so good and tasty, even the sauces. I ordered drunken noodles (chicken), vegetable spring rolls and the curry puff. I throughly enjoyed every bite. I felt like I got my money’s worth!
Best authentic Thai place in the Merrick area and it’s not close. Loved the Green curry dish and the soup was incredible. Very similar flavors to how it is in Thailand. Nat was a great host and explained different dishes well to us. Will definitely be back
Great food BUT parking is a pain. I wish they had a better location
Gate food and service
I gave 2 stars because the girl who took the order was nice. Otherwise food wasn’t good since changed ownership 4 months ago. Ordered Chicken w/ peanut butter , don’t expect meat inside the chicken cause only fried skin in there, it’s mixed with veg, more cabbage than chicken.
Penang chicken barely have sauce and more string beans than chicken/ no coconut milk in it. Won’t come back!
I recommended Authentic Thai Cuisine, Pad Thai and Thai tea is the best 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Good service and Good food.
One of the best Thai food I've ever had. Very authentic and delicious! The young lady who takes the orders is the nicest and sweetest girl and always know the details of my order. She has the best customer service.
First time ordering Thai food from here. The food was amazing. It was fresh . The owner is really nice.
this place is absolutely bussin. the food was sooooo good. jumbo shrimp made me tingly. 10/10 recommend. best thai food
Bustling Authentic Thai Cuisine is vegan friendly. Pad Thai is amazing. Flavorful Penang is heavenly. Order mild, medium or spicy.
Mild is sufficient for most. Dishes have an excellent balance of tofu, vegetables and sauce. Fluffy white rice is perfection. Vegan Thai
iced tea is addicting and satisfying. Accommodating service. Reasonable cost.
I have tasted many variations of Thai food near the area and by far this one has had the best flavor and texture of noodle based meals. Their Thai Iced tea is never too sweet and feel refreshing and their service is always welcoming. Ready and willing to expand my taste buds. My go to are usually Drunken Noodles or the Pad Thai Noodles with any of your protein choices yes even tofu tasted delicious.
Good quality food. But really small portions for the prices. The sauce in both basil chicken and ginger shrimp was too watery. Like the flavor but may skip due to small size dishes for the price.
the place is closed and they’re still accepting ubereats orders wasting the drivers time and the customers time. This is costing people money. Disgusting.
Food was delicious.
Good, close Thai takeout.
The food tastes good, but the portions are not enough for the price.
Really tasty food. Whenever I'm in town, this is a spot I try to hit.
I've been here a few times now. My last visit ( during covid) about 3 weeks ago, seemed like their portions are getting smaller.. and the prices for their dishes are expensive. The only thing that keeps me coming back is quality. They are always consistent.. and which foodie doesn't like that? You can depend on your food tasting great here.
I ordered the curry puffs, pad thai, chicken sate, and mango chicken sauce. While the overall flavors were acceptable, the portions were small and more expensive than most Thai restaurants.
My main complaint is with the mango chicken sauce. The order I received was drastically different from the photos I saw online, and my only guess is that the restaurant ran out of chicken and decided to give me the order regardless. There was not a SINGLE TANGIBLE PIECE OF CHICKEN in the whole dish, and the entire container was filled with soggy sauced up breading. Not a single chunk of "chicken" in the whole dish was larger than a quarter. Maybe I was unlucky and received the last few scraps.
Summary: Small portions, and DO NOT order the mango chicken sauce dish unless you want soggy batter.
First time trying this place, and we’ve definitely found our new go-to for Thai. We chose from the many vegetarian options, and we ordered Dash delivery. Got a phone call from the restaurant to (apologetically) let us know they were out of the app we had ordered, which was no problem at all since we wanted to try all of them!! We switched to another option at the same price, and the guy on the phone could not have been nicer. The Pad Thai was so flavorful, that was our fav. The Kua noodles came in at a close 2nd; I’m big on flavor and they were not overly flavorful and yet they were still really delicious. The fried tofu app was soooo good dipped in the yummy sweet chili sauce. The pineapple fried rice was ok, not very flavorful. Overall, this place is awesome!! Will order again and look forward to dining-in at some point in the future.
Food is the best! Truly authentic! I love their tofu pad Thai.
Truly authentic Thai cuisine...food is terrific Highly-rated and recommended!!!!!.
My favorite Thai spot in the Merrick area! Very friendly employees to top it off
Spicy basil rice is the truth!!!!!
The best Thai food around , always the freshest tasting Thai food using quality ingredients!! I absolutely love the lightly fried tofu appetizer and hot vegetable spring rolls , the curry puffs are outrageous and the outside is so light and flakey , totally homemade by an amazing cook !! The soups are very delicious and the vegan dishes are amazing !! The people that work there are all very nice , I will go back as soon as I can .
Food is great. Big menu. Reasonable prices allows you to try allot of things on the menu.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Amazing appetizers, plates, desserts, and tea. The best Thai tea I’ve ever had-cannot find anyone that makes it as good. Really hope to see it open soon! Great place
Food has no taste
This is an small, no fancy at all. However the food is delicious, this is my second Sunday on a row. Today I ordered the Chicken Mango Curry and it was delicious, my wife had a Pad Thai and she was very satisfied.
In addition to the flavorful dishes, the waiter is very lovely and attentive.
Excellent Thai food. So much better than the usual Chinese take out.
Food is GREAT! Has a lot of sugar but it’s tasty.
By far the only restaurant that serves coconut rice .. the curries are great... the service is a lil slow I understand given the volume of customers... Food tastes great... would love to see the place get a make over... best to carry out than dine in... If u like the "thai food " you don't wanna miss this place
Excellent Phone etiquette and amazing Drunken noodle 🤓
A hidden gem that I found through Uber Eats! I’ve been searching for quality Thai food on Long Island and I have found it! 10/10 would recommend!

Everything we had was so delicious, lots of vegan options, big portions and great service.
Variety of food
Don’t let the place fool you the food is exceptionally amazing you must give it a try! It’s very low key and spectacular
Nice place! Pai thai noodles are great!
in my life of 32 years, ive had few locations/establishments that i could call my own or obsess over. this is definitely one of them on the island. a real sadness when they stopped delivery to my town..but i make the trip. my girlfriend looooooves the pineapple rice with shrimp
Wow! A hidden gem. Delicious food, better than other local places. Casual place for a filling and tasty meal. We had a Thai tea, summer shrimp roll, panang curry, and mango curry. ALL were delicious and generously portioned. Will be back soon!
The Thai Iced Tea was phenomenal, and the waitress was very sweet. The curries were just OK though—we felt like they lacked flavor and the vegetables were bland.
The chicken satay with peanut and cucumber sauces, and the pad Thai with vegetables was sooooo good! Definitely coming back here, or ordering out next time I'm in the neighborhood!
The food is DELICIOUS, will be back.
Their noodle dishes are very good. Worth coming back for. I have had better curry dishes though. Nice but small dining area.
Outstanding food with a great selection. The waitress who was also the owner was very friendly & helpful in explaining the different dishes they served. Will definitely be going back!!
First time there and the food and service was great

This place has delicious Thai food. The Coconut soup, is out of this world good.
Delicious food. Accommodating staff. My family had a great time.
The food is delicious. I especially love their coconut soup and roti. The service is friendly but slow. Definitely order well before you want to eat if ordering out. Still totally worth it.
A small place with big flavor.
My favorite Thai restaurant on Long Island. It’s nothing fancy but their staff are sooo nice and the food is delicious! They have lots of clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan appetizers, soups, and entrees. Their curry is really spicy, so I would recommend getting a yellow or milder curry if you aren’t used to crazy spicy food.
I’ve ordered from Authentic Thai several times, and they consistently deliver delicious food. Highly recommend the drunken noodles and their Thai Curry Puffs... straight up Thai comfort food. Recommended food spot.
Very cool. Delicious food. Zero pretense. No alcohol.
Friendly staff and excellent Thai food.
Tasty food. Nominal price. We sat and ate but it is mostly a takeout place.
Food was excellent. I have been to Thailand 9 times and also have a Thai wife. We both thought the food was delicious. The food is authentic as the name says! Very friendly staff. Definitely will go again.
Authentic Thai Cuisine is the best Thai food!!!! I am glad that I found the good place for Thai food on Long Island. The staff are so so nice and welcoming. I cannot want to wait to go back again!
PS. They have the best Chicken Stay ever. My family and I are very enjoyed it. 😊
