Eathai is your neighborhood Thai food restaurant that provides dine-in curry out and delivery
The food is great!! Small restaurant. Nothing fancy. A few tables. Likely serves more carry-out than dine-in. The green curry shrimp was excellent. My friend ordered "Four Buddies" which was pretty good. A few weeks earlier I tried their drunken noodles, also an excellent dish.
Given the reviews, this place is clearly hit or miss. On our visit, we agreed, this was one of the closest Thai meals (flavor wise) we’ve had outside of Thailand. Granted, we were the only ones there and ordered some of the dishes in Thai… maybe that got us some points with the chef? Either way, we’ll definitely be back.
Very dissapointed. The place was small and empty and not so clean looking. Greeter didn’t greet me at all just said fried rice once I entered the place. I seen nothing but black specs on the food when I opened the bag and seen the food through the clear plastic top. I paid anyway even though I knew that was a sign of a dirty grill! When I got home I was starving and just wanted to eat. I took one bite and was disgusted! The rice was over cooked and the dish smelled like a wet dog which also the restaurant had same stench when I entered. They even had the nerve to leave half the shell and the tail on the shrimp which I only seen 2 in my entire dish! My order was chicken fried rice no tomatoes with extra shrimp! I called and he said I can come get my money back. I’m still working so I didn’t leave right away to take it back plus I’m trying to figure out now what am I gonna eat! The guy calls me 30 mins later and said he will cancel my card charge and no need to bring food back I can give away or eat it. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog! The worst Thai food I’ve ever had! I feel sickly from just one bite!
Do not let the outside deceive you the food is very good. The drunken noodles and pad Thai are both excellent. Staff are friendly. Parking space was satisfactory, but not overly abundant.
Came here for the first time on a late Saturday lunch. Service was attentive and friendly. Everything we order had a good portion size for a Thai restaurant. Very reasonable prices. Didn't leave the place hungry.
The papaya salad was pretty good-- good portion but only gave one big shrimp (bummer) though was a bit too salty from the fish sauce.
The Pad See Ew was really good. The sauce wasn't too sweet compared to other places and I like how the flat/wide noodles were not cut too thin and was very wide!
The crab meat fried rice was pretty good but the sauce used was a bit too sweet for me regarding a fried rice entree. The crab meat taste sweet and fresh.
The Eathai noodles was just alright. Flat/wide noodles were used for this entree. It is curry based but sauce/gravy was also a tad too sweet which makes it a bit weird in my opinion. Wouldn't order this again.
Would definitely come back to try their Pad Thai and curry entrees.
Fabulous food. Will go back LOTS! Friendly and attentative staff. Atmosphere is not fair to rate...it is clean and comfortable; not elegant, but it is not intended to be. Highly recommend!

I love it
Great food, great service! Friendly staff.
Small place get crowded when lunch time or dinner time. Most people order for takeout or pickup. Food is ALWAYS delicious.

Awesome food. Friendly and nice !!
Food is very bad. They are trying to pass off noodles with spaghetti!!! I'm from New York...I know my noodles. I called the restaurant and was told that a lot of people like it, so....they didn't even deny that they were using spaghetti instead of noodles!! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I like that you can get the standard Thai dishes as well as some not so well known ones. I've been several times and never had the same thing twice. Get the ginger drink, very refreshing!
First time here and my ginger vegetable stir fry with pork was delicious. The server was attentive. I would upload a picture, but my plate is empty. Not crowded. Looks like more business is carry out.

Everything I order here is so good. An excellent spot in the neighborhood. I love that the restaurant is less than five minutes away from my house, so I usually carry out. Everything is always ready on time and ready for me to pick up.
DoorDash delivery was fast, but the food was not good quality. The papaya salad was ok, only 1 shrimp in it. Ginger stir fry was ok.. Panang curry wasn’t very red and mediocre. I actually felt sick on my stomach after eating.
I ordered a chicken pad thai and wonton soup over the phone and they messed up my order. First, the person taking my order struggled to write my name down over and over even though I spelled it out for them multiple times. Second, when I got home I opened the box to find chicken satay instead of chicken pad thai. The person taking my order even asked a few times if I wanted the pad thai and I said yes. They charged me for the pad thai and I am very disappointed. Will not be coming back here.
Consistently very good.
Ordered delivery. Food was blah. Ordered 2 mango sticky rice, which usually comes with half a mango slice at most restaurants, but here came with a quarter slice that wasn’t even ripe. 7$ for a quarter slice of mango and rice ? Won’t be revisiting, there are plenty of much better Thai restaurants in the area but we wanted to give a try to something new. Prices were high and quality was low.
My go to Thai restaurant close to my home that has delicious cuisine and gluten free options! Always a pleasure!
I haven't eaten here in years and now I remember why...
Not only are they one of the few places around that have both curry puff and crab rangoon on the menu, those items are consistently great whenever we order. The mango sticky rice is also very good. One thing I do hope they add to their menu in the future is a side of regular sticky rice.
Been going ther for eat in and takeout and have had unfailing excellent food and service. Highly recommend.
Great service and delicious food. If you are looking for a good Thai food this is the right place. Will definitely come again
Pad thai and Thai iced tea. Delicious! The tea looked less milky than others I've had but tastes just as fabulous

Best pad Thai in the area!
One of the best Thai restaurants in the area. They have the best won ton soup I've ever had. I highly recommend adding vegetables to the curries though. We regularly get delivery from here, but I wouldn't recommend eating in the restaurant (I think they only have 2 tables).
I do take-out at this restaurant often. I like the people who work there. I love the vegetarian green curry a lot. So yummy.
Nice quiet place. Staff was very friendly and attentive. And the food? Immaculate! We got a duck roll, tom kha, pad thai, pad si ew, and mango sticky rice. All 5 were fantastic.
Delicious papaya salad! Got it with Tofu instead of shrimp. The menu is very vegetarian/ vegan friendly!
The food is excellent. The owner cares a lot about making sure that people have food that they really enjoy. We love this place.
Food was not tasty. Barely edible. So grease soaked and it seemed to be used oil. Ugh.
Something good & diferent
I ordered basil fried with beef, got back to work, opened the bowl and to my surprise, it looked like DOG FOOD. It was disgusting! Not even my dog ate. The rice was very grainy like white rice instead of jasmine rice. The beef did not taste like how beef supposed to taste and I am very much a food critic!😳😱😤🤢as much as I love Thai food, it was the worst really. The quality of the food has a big decline. It was very sweet with no vegetables whatsoever, just rice and meat💀
I absolutely LOVE eaThai! It is one of the best restaurants in the area - and though it is a tad small in space, don't let that fool you. The food is consistently good, the staff is friendly and helpful and their menu is diverse and can be amended to your preference.
I adore their Panang Curry, Pad Thai, Larb Gai, Veggie Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay and Pineapple Fried Rice. My friends can tell you that their other dishes are good, too.
eaThai's take-out has always been just as ordered and the quantity is plentiful! Ok. I had mentioned that you can amend the dishes and I do this all the time. Whether you order delivery or takeout online (of course you can eat there as well), there are boxes you can check for double meat, spice level and a place to type in special instructions. For instance, when I am sharing a couple of dishes with friends, I can double the chicken in the Panang Curry and it's more than enough for 2! I also check TWO boxes when it comes to spice level. I check medium and extra spicy and the chef knows exactly what I mean - hotter than medium, but not burning my brain hot...just perfect!
During this crazy pandemic, everyone who works there has been cautious and safe. I went there one evening to pick up food I had ordered and one young man was answering the phones, packaging takeout orders, taking walk-in orders and handling payments. I guess somebody didn't show up, but they made it work and while I was in the restaurant there were a few other people waiting for their food. Do you know what was cool? Every customer there who had been to eaThai before respected the staff and the restaurant. Nobody cared that if we had to wait an extra 5 or 10 minutes. And this young man had a couple of very difficult phone calls, but he was super professional and very kind to the people on the other end of the phone.
SO...we chatted and laughed until our various orders were ready and we ALL wanted to pitch in and help this guy who was running ragged by himself.
HINT: if you do go online to order takeout or delivery, please go to the eaThai website to order that way instead of through the major companies (like GrubHub) who deliver restaurant food. It saves the restaurant $$$.
Absolutely horrible, the eggrolls were so oily it was dripping oil as I was eating them. The crab Rangoon was all wrapper and no filling.
The papaya salad deluxe with shrimp had one piece of shrimp. I will never order from here and I highly recommend that you do not either.
I don't like thai food, but after randomly receiving an uber eats delivery to the wrong address last week, I gave the food a try and thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely check out the drunken noodles and spring rolls!
Food is below average compared to other Thai restaurants around. We went in on a Saturday night, one hour before closing. The food was very disappointing, my shrimp basil fried rice was too mushy and the chicken for on the kids menu came undercooked. They shouldn’t take food orders right before closing. It was a bad dinner.
The red curry was delicious!
We ordered a meal from GrubHub over an hour and a half ago, food didn’t come,
Called restaurant sad she was busy and just saw it. Would take another 45 minutes.
Ended up canceling the order now driving somewhere else to get food
Pretty good neighborhood Thai restaurant in Rockville. Inside of the restaurant is relatively small and not many tables there. I noticed a lot of people order takeouts. Also, parking space is limited around the restaurant. I ordered shrimp pad thai and beef drunken noodle. Both dishes are delicious and cooked exceptionally. Beef and shrimp were tasted fresh and the portion was too bad either. Servers are friendly and attentive during the whole dinner service. I would say this place is not special but still a solid thai restaurant. I recommend visiting this place if you are around this area.
Amazing food and great service. The mango sticky rice is a must!
We ordered Pad Thai, Curry Puffs, Wonton Soup, and Thai Rama, so basically rice noodles, curry filled pastries, wonton soup, and curry with chicken and vegetables. The wonton soup and curry puffs were alright, the wonton soup being very salty. But when we got our entries they looked nothing like in the pictures from other reviews and when we tasted, they were extremely, terribly sweet and paired with vegetables like broccoli and crushed peanuts and other things that should be salty was very unsavory and I lost my appetite very soon. I understand some Thai foods are sweet and salty, but these dishes were like eating liquefied candy with curry powder.
There were decent prices but the food portions were very small except for the entrées, which again, were extremely sweet. It was not worth the money.
One of my favorite Thai places. The food is great and prices are pretty average. Just please be warned if you're ordering anything spicy. Things at this restaurant are EXTREMELY spicy. Even their "mild" can be unbearable if you're sensitive!
Nice quiet place to catch up with friends and enjoy great food
Fast service and delicious!
Terrible restaurant with even worse customer service. Employee at counter comfortable discriminating against customers while other employees backed him up. So disgusted with the treatment that I did not accept the food and asked for a refund. I refuse to patronize a business that is comfortable with those practices. I recommend you look somewhere else for good Thai food. First and last time giving my business to this place.
Edit: The owner's response is a lie. I gave my name to the employee at the counter 4 different times. I even pulled out my phone and showed him the DoorDash app with my order listed out. After all this, he still refused to hand me the food. Either your employees are poorly trained or you employ people who openly discriminate against customers of a particular background/skin color. Your restaurant does not deserve my business and no one else's for that matter. There is absolutely 0 room for that kind of behavior in 2022.
Really nice staff, great That food (we particularly like Chicken Madness), quick and efficient. We are very happy with our experiences here.
Some of the best Thai food in the area. Consistently great quality whether eating in or pickup/delivery. Highly recommended!!!
Always delicious food and friendly service. Take out that is always ready!
The food is excellent and the price is reasonable. When I picked up an order, the staff was very pleasantries
Consistently delicious!
Wonderful service and good food. I like having a Thai place around the corner
Thai food is new for us, so I have no frame of reference to compare against. That said, the food is delicious. We've already ordered takeout a few times and it has been consistently good and predictable. It's been nice to add this restaurant to our dining options.
Start with their great customer service, very friendly service, fast service and great food; When I order at ea Thai I always enjoy their food
I started doing carryout with Eathai during COVID and it did not disappoint! Everything is always so fresh. Our favorite is the green curry! One of the most unique flavors and so delicious.
Best crab rangoon I've ever eaten. Drunken noodle also slaps.
eaThai is our go to restaurant when we're in the mood for Thai. I get to have spicy and the rest of the family can have mild. The menu offers many options whether you like meat, fish or vegetarian and the food is always great.
Great Curry and Bangkok Noodles! Our #1 Thai place.
Drunken Noodles, Chicken Madness, Green Curry. I love it all so much! Won't go anywhere else for my favorite thai bites!
Good takeout in the Silver Spring area
Fast service and delicious drunken noodles beef
Very good. My all time favorite is pad Thai with shrimps.🤤 and you can’t go wrong with spicy chicken salad. Brian will give you any recommendation if you need help.
I went there last night with my family I got pad Thai shrimp was so good, everything was so perfect! They have a lot of deference manus that is good for a family or date to come to eat. Definitely Come back
Fast service and delicious foods. I ordered padthai and drunken beef. Reasonable price. Worth it
Sad to say that the owner is much more pleasant than the food. While the flavor is fairly on point, the pad see ew was scorched and even smells burnt with just a few tiny florets of broccoli, the green curry is lackluster with just some basil and bamboo shoots, and the spicy eggplant is overcooked and macerated, bathing in so much oil that the fried tofu in it have turned into little oil soaked sponges! It wasn't expensive but not cheap either. And though I hate wasting food, I think the curry is the only thing we can stomach to eat, the rest is rubbish. Very disappointed and hoping they can improve, but I will not be returning.
Worth price and so tasty
Good food quickly prepared, easy online order interface, good selection, reasonably priced
The food here are really delicious. Within a week, I've already ordered twice. "The Four Buddies" and "Drunken Noodles" on the menu were awesome.
Es un restaurante de mucho prestigio muy buena comida se los recomiendo
I ordered food for delivery and it was pretty good. However, I found the massamun curry to taste a bit sweet and not the least bit spicy. I also ordered the red curry and while it too tasted great, it only seemed to have the faintest amount of spiciness to it. On the plus side though, both came with a generous amount of rice and the curry portion was a good size which resulted in plenty of food to feel full after eating.
Definitely some good food here but I probably wouldn’t order again because of the lack of spiciness in the curry.
All I can say is "WOW!" I've been curious about this place for years and never made a point of going in, but I actually think I've found my new favorite local restaurant. We had the curry puffs, tom ka, and drunken noodles, all of which were on point. Definitely looking forward to going back to try some more!
We ordered from this restaurant for the first time tofay. We ordered shrimp pad Thai and crispy Basil chicken. The crispy Basil chicken was so hard and dry, we could barely chew it. It did not seem to be prepared fresh. It appeared to have been made hours before and then reheated. Also the menu said it was $12.95 and they chsrged us $14.95 for it. It literally was almost uneatable. The pad Thai also had the tails still on the shrimp. They offered to give us a credit the next time we order from there. But I don't know if we will order from there again.
I used to come to this place heavily since 2010 because I worked down the street. I never had any issues with the food till now and I always order the same entrees. Bought shrimp pad Thai, shrimp basil fried rice, calamari and veggie rolls. My husbands pad Thai was not fresh at all soon as he ate it he got a stomach ache, shrimp was old. My shrimp basil fried rice was unflavored and just salty, I get it all the time and there was a huge difference my shrimp wasn’t fresh either. The calamari was hard with no taste. Only thing that was ok was the veggie roll. I am so disappointed as a frequent customer. I called and she asked if we wanted a new batch I said no thank you I’d rather just have my money back especially driving almost 30 minutes. She said I would have to wait for the manager the next business day so I will update how that goes. Just avoid or go when the owner is there, because he makes sure he the food is tasty and even one time delivered to me at the parking lot. I don’t know what is going on but they need to fix this ASAP or they’ve lost a loyal customer.
UPDATE: Manager called me the next day and refunded my money immediately. He was super nice no attitude or anything and promised to make up for it if I visited. Maybe I will just because of his professionalism .
,
So far we tried pad woon sen, drunken noodle, crispy basil quid and shrimp, crispy duck, bangkok noodle, wonton soup, thai iced. All have been very delicious with good portions.
Open for dine in now. The owner is very polite. Food tastes authentic.
Ordered carry out and found a long piece of hair in the food. After calling to inform them they offered to make us another dish. We did not want anymore food as our appetites had been ruined. Nan was unable to give me a refund. Will not eat here ever again.
Update: They called back and apologized and offered to refund once the manager arrives.
Customer service was a 10/10, food was honestly amazing the Thai curry was literally the best I ever had and I will be coming back for more.
Great little place. We had Pad Thai and Panang Curry...enjoyed both.
Fantastic pad Thai and Tom Ka gai. Yum!
Good tai
It's clean
Great pad thai. Calamari to hard and not flavorful.
I just tried them for the first time, and they've jumped to the top of my favorites list! Best thai I've had in a long time!
This was disappointing. We threw out the food and had frozen pizza instead. The crispy basil chicken wasn't crispy and had very little basil flavor. The panang chicken had very overcooked chicken and had very little peanut flavor. The pad thai was....basically okay, but not good. The fried tofu was too wet in the middle but tio tough on the outside. We will not go again.
Just spent $50 for basil chicken, dumplings and kids meal. the chicken slices were not chewable
It tasted like recooked slices and was very hard to chew.
I’ve come here before and enjoy many items
But this was disgraceful and disgusting
Please make healthy fresh cooked meals
Don’t recycle your left over meats
I don’t like when you don’t tray your customers to the best
So wonderful. We hadn't gotten food from here in way too long. A lovely lunch of two different noodle dishes. The folks who work here are so nice. A great place to order lunch or dinner. Enjoy.
Fantastic food
Pad Thai w/chicken. Spring rolls. Enough food for two good size meals. Carryout was real busy. Good sign for good food. Staff was very nice.
Tried a lot of thai and this one is prob the best ive had despite the tucked away location not just saying that because its my local either
This is a small restaurant with really good tasty dishes. I've eaten your several times I've never been disappointed. The traditional Thai dishes are very nicely done, and the pot which are all cooked to order are really nice.
parking can be tricky because they have a small lot but it's well worth waiting for a spot.
I ordered through Grubhub. The food came early which was great! And the food was soooo good! Will definitely be ordering again!
Love their green and red curry
I love this place. Authentic food in large portions. Reasonably priced.
I love the food here. Very nice people
My son and I went here about a week ago. We sat down I noticed a funny smell but I played it off. I am very skeptical and picky so I am learning how to act civilized. So , a brown roach crawled on the window cell of the table we were sitted at. We looked at each other and got up to walk out at the same time. I realized the smell was that of a roach infestation. I didn't report them. Just thought I write a review instead. The owners never asked us why we were leaving. They knew.
Cute little restaurant that has quality Thai food and when they say spicy they mean Thai spicy 😂
Great food and amazing service. We we're Seated immediately when we arrived. They greeted us very politely and took our order. The quality of the food was terrific. It was fast and delicious. They refilled our drinks quickly and without being asked. There was a kick from the spice, it was good. It was an overall great experience
fine Thai food, good service. parking can be difficult at peak times
The most enjoyable Thai ever! Four Buddies, Tom Ka, Dumpling, Papaya salad (nice 'n spicy). From Boston MA to Toronto ON to Washington DC we've enjoyed dozens, this is the best so far.
Great Food and truly wonderful staff and large portions for a great price.
Small place but the food was really good
Good food quick service. Filling meal with enough leftovers to enjoy another day.
Quick service. Great Thai food. Love that they can vary each dish from mild to quite hot and spicy. Melding of flavors is unique.
Delicious food, good service. The Tom Ka was great and the Pad Thai too. Fried banana dessert was fantastic.
Small place with tight and limited parking but the dishes are all very tasty and they're not skimpy. Soups have lots of veggies. Dishes like drunken noodles and green curry are outstanding with lots of robust flavor. The best Thai place I've found since Pana Thai closed. Others are bland or Thai imitations. I would definitely recommend this place.
Just ate the mushroom soup and it blew my mind. There were options for the broth and I chose vegetarian. ItIwas an explosion of delicious flavor.
Food is very salty
We had heard a lot about this place and decided to try it out. We ordered carryout and everything we got was excellent. The soup was the coconut one and it was great, with lots of chicken and it wasn't very sweet, which is our preference. The other items were also great. We didn't find the food to be on the sweet side, which is what we find at other places. The staff was friendly and polite and the food was ready quick.
Es un buen restaurante recomendable buena comida
There was a bug in my food and I got sick soon afterwards.
Good food but decorations leave something to be desired, extra charge for extra drink.

Delicious Pad Thai. Quiet spot.
Two stars for the good service.
Every dish I have had as been great!
Love this place! Soooo much food!
Very good service, food in on time, and hot.
Thump up for eathai. Best Thai food in this area. Excellent pad Thai and crispy basil chicken. Nice service here
10/10 for Pad Thai and excellent service people so nice here. Can’t wait to come back :)
Low quality food. People nice but food too bad to eat. Pricey compared to the local competition.
Pineapple fried rice had lots of chicken and shrimp....delicious! Calamari is not the usual rings but large pieces....crunchy coating and tasty sauce. Thai tea can be delivered, a special treat since most establishments deliver only bottled drinks. Never been disappointed and delivery speedy.
Really good friend rice. I usually get beef. Large quantities for a decent price.
Friendly staff and better food!
Came into here based on the good reviews. I've never regretted a restaurant choice so quickly.
We ordered papaya salad which was good and spicy. Then we had the Tom Yum soup which was the most flavorless thing I can recall paying for. It even managed to neutralize the taste of the vegetables.
The drunken noodles tasted like what I'd imagine the inside of a pipe would taste and even smelled like a used cigarette.
The pineapple fried rice was good for the kid, though.
I'd not bother with this place.
Excellen food and service. Love this place
Consistently food. Very tasty. Fresh food.
Great food and service.
The quality of service and cuisine was excellent! Swift, friendly service and tasty dishes.
Deep Sea is definitely recommendable , also the Drunken Noodles 😁. Plenty of food for the price.
Excellent service!!
Very tasty, nice service.
Place is trash. Service is trash. Didn't get forks with my food like I'm suppose to eat with my hands. Overall over priced & it wasn't even good.
A nice mom and pop establishment! Friendly staff, quick service, good portions of fresh food. My husband LOVED the Panang Curry. I enjoyed my Musaman Curry, it was the spiciest one I'd ever had! Sticky rice was pretty good, too!
Delicious Thai hidden in the middle of nowhere.
Not the largest menu, but their Pad Thai and curry dishes are delicious. It's a small restaurant.
Good Thai food
Good authentic food
