We ordered the Shrimp Tempura Box and Sushi Lunch. It was delicious. The fried vegetables were a pleasant surprise and tasty. Very nice atmosphere as well. Our waitress Kaylee was very attentive and polite. We really enjoyed our first time eating at Thai Square. Will definitely be back.
This place was epic!!! Literally epic. We randomly came here and it had become one of our favorite places to eat. They have such a cool vibe. The food has its own spotlight on the table . The actual sushi was out of this world delish. We got the specialty rolls and it was worth it! Love that if you get two specialty rolls one is free! So cool!
I really really wanted to like this place but their negligence with cleanliness is just a big no for me especially the second time around. My first bad experience with the food, one of my sushi rolls had hair in it, the sushi person does not wear a hairnet. This second time the fried rice had eggs shells in it. I will not be returning. The person at the front does not care about their customer service. The time we have dined in they only have one waiter and the lady manager does not help she just stares at customers while needing something.
It’s quite dark and intimate inside, which was very pleasant. The server was very attentive and great about explaining the menu. The lunch specials were great, so much food in the bento box! The sushi was great and so was the soup. They have high chairs but no kids menu, but we found something out toddler liked on the appetizer menu. We’ll definitely come back and try their cute little patio next time!
I recently visited Thai square with a group of friends, and while we had high hopes for a fun evening, the experience turned out to be disappointing. The restaurant itself had a lot of charm—it's a cozy, cute spot with great lighting and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for our group of eight or so we thought.
At first, everything was going smoothly. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere set the right mood for an enjoyable night. However, things took a negative turn when two of our guests ordered the Pad Thai. Instead of the classic Thai flavor we were expecting, the dish had an overpowering smell and taste of tomato paste, which left both guests unable to eat it.
One of my friends politely asked the server if she could change the dish because she dodnt like the taste, but the server looked confused and informed her that they don’t allow changes. The only option was to order something else, which would come with an extra charge. No accommodation was made, and the server didn’t offer any solution or seem interested in helping. After this, the server left, and during the rest of the meal, she continued to refill our water but completely ignored the untouched plate, which sat there the entire time. At no point did she bring a manager or make any attempt to fix the situation. She completely ignored the issue. To make matters worse, despite the uneaten dish, my friend was still charged for it. Since we were a group of eight, an automatic gratuity was added, forcing my friend to tip on a dish she couldn’t eat and a situation that was poorly handled.
This lack of care and customer service left a bitter impression. For a restaurant to serve an unappetizing dish is one thing, but to refuse to address the issue, especially when it’s clear that the dish hadn’t been touched, felt unacceptable. It really soured what could have been a pleasant night out with friends.
Overall, most of the dishes were fine, but this experience with the Pad Thai and the unresponsive service put a damper on the evening. If you visit, I’d recommend sticking to dishes you know you’ll like, because the restaurant doesn’t seem interested in making things right if something goes wrong. Our evening, which began with excitement, ended on a disappointing note, and I’m not sure we’ll be returning anytime soon.
If I could rate this restaurant a 0 stars, I absolutely would. I went here with a group of friends, and the experience was horrible. I ordered the Pad Thai noodles, and they were downright disgusting – they tasted like a mix of tomato paste and peanuts, nothing like Pad Thai should. When I politely asked if I could exchange the dish for something else, the server bluntly said no. I then asked her to take them back because they didn’t taste good, she insisted that she couldn't take them back and I still had to pay for the untouched noodles. The dish sat there, barely touched, and I was left with a bad taste – both literally and figuratively. Absolutely terrible service and food. Avoid this place at all costs.
I am glad this restaurant is here in the Sunnyvale and Mesquite area. I cannot wait to use their patio in the spring and summer. Seafood soup was great, ninja roll was fantastic, and the lunch special was good with the 3 rolls. They need a happy hour prices like Kona Grill.
Without a doubt, this is the best sushi restaurant I have tried in Dallas! Truly exquisite.
Pad thai was great. Very friendly staff.
Really good Asian food.
Real thai food in the area, fresh ingredients and good service
Great curry!
Some dishes are great others not so much, they need to shrink the menu and focus on what they do well.
Hibachi Tofu and curry tofu! Yummo 😋
Incredible food and the prices are reasonable.
Un lugar muy tranquilo la comida es excelente, el servicio al cliente es maravilloso un lugar al que definitivamente regresaré.
10/10 would definitely recommend! Sushi selection A1
Love it.
The food is delicious. It’s our local sushi place now. The lunch time bento box is also a favorite. It gets expensive, but it’s always a good time. I do wish the music was different. It always strikes me as incongruous.

Sandra was awesome!

Too rude staff, voice tone is rude
As always, this place has been reliably good with friendly service. This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at particularly at lunch.
My fiance and I love coming here for date night. I love the service, the food, and the ambiance.
This is my favorite go-to spot for good Japanese food. Everyone who works there is a pleasant breath of fresh air, and the food never disappoints.
Everything about this place is great, just needs a bit of improvement in friendly service 💯💯💯
Very nice people and excellent food.
California rolls😍
Soup was good and at the right seasoning
Dumping Soup, was a miss .. Dumping tasted a little rubbery , sad .. cause that is our favorite there... other than that, food was good
🤣 🤣, side note.. asked if that was a bug buzzer that had just gone off and waiter told us , yea.. weird but at least there keeping it clean inside.. my 2 cents
Food is 🔥🔥🔥
Manager is rude . Food wasn’t up to par asked for it to be remade she said no refunds and told me not to come back if I didn’t want to pay
Great food! And atmosphere! Will be back
Great food. The outside really needs maintenance, but don't let that scare you away.
Love this place
Quick, good food. Prices very reasonable.
The staff was very kind to me. My food was very quickly prepared, and it tasted magnificent. I love coming to this place to get a good, fresh, quality meal. This place also makes their food with fresh, quality ingredients.
This place is run down. Especially the outside looks like it's been vacant for years They seemed slightly short staffed so the waiters/tresses were really having to hustle. Good was ok, I'm used to the one in Forney so my expectations were higher. Maybe they just had a rough night. Happens to everyone
Had the red snapper- excellent! Very fresh, generous portion. Seafood soup was also excellent- lobster, shrimp, salmon & red snapper -all in one steamy fresh soup. Plus fast service
This is a great hidden gem. Food was awesome, service great, and atmosphere positive. Good amount of inside seating and a small patio, with easy parking. Lunch specials are great.
We did takeout. The quality and value is amazing. I'll post pics next time.
Visited this spot for the first time for lunch on a Saturday and were very impressed. We ordered the sushi boat for two and it was more than enough food. The ambiance was nice and Damon was an excellent server. We'll be trying one of the Thai dishes on the menu next time.
😁👍
Good food and friendly staff.
Very good place to chill with friends or have a relaxing lunch
Estuvo buenísimo todo

the Food was great service was a little slow but it was worth the wait
Very polite, quick, and efficient staff. Food is delicious. If you like Asian cuisine or more specifically sushi, sashimi, and ramen. All the food here is authentic.
A bit small so expect to be somewhat close to another table and having to wait if your party is big
Absolutely the best !
The service was great! Sam answered all of our questions without hesitation and made sure our order was accurate.
I went to this shopping center during the Asian New year festival, and it was a great and memorable experience.
It was gas
Great sushi, good service. This place should stay busy. The quality of sushi rates right up there with some of the best I’ve had. Def a hidden gem
After we ate, the bill was $104, and I gave $110 including 6 tip. However, the manager came back and wanted a 15% minimum tip, wowwww….like California welcome to the new Texas !
Always delicious never disappoints. Chicken and shrimp fried rice with edamame and California rolls are a weekly tradition. Staff are very friendly.
I'm a regular here and I have not once been disappointed. Staff is always kind and friendly and the food is delicious. I highly recommend Thai Square.
Love this place food is amazing my favorite place to eat. Staff is on point very friendly
My waiter was amazing, however, the manager was absolutely rude and condescending. We order a roll yet the taste was different from the first order, so we asked the waiter to confirm our order. The manager swore it was the same, but we did agreed. We asked for it to be taken off our oderr (one two rolls were consumed) yet the magager refused. I have always recommended this place but won't ever again for how my parents were treated.
We eat there often. It's all amazing!
Very good service and food
Lunch box is great!
So I went in for dinner maybe 6pm and it was not too packed when I got there. It did start getting pretty packed after I got seated. There was no wait when I got there. But it is a small place so be aware plan accordingly. But if your eating by yourself the bar is open so you can hit that up. So when I got seated I got my stuff like a fork and chopsticks ect. What I did noticed where I sat the lighting is kinda la a spot light coming down on to the table. so it is intresting I feel the lighting showcases the food alot more and makes eating alittle more romantic . So I think it's a good date spot. I got the sushi sashimi for 1 and it was real good lots of sashimi and sushi . There was the roll and the nigiri and the sashimi. So it had alittle bit of everything like tuna ,salmon, and yellowtail. The meal came with some miso soup to start and that was pretty good. I did get an unsweetened tea which had some Lemon on it. So if you don't like lemon in your tea. They do offer pepsi products and they have sake and beers and other drinks. Over all it was a good spot that I happen to stumble apon. It was not super expensive and was a great price for the amount of food you get. I believe I got out of there under 40 dollars before tip. So that was great.
Love the food here! Brought my little sister for her birthday and the server was very patient and lovely
So cool!
Not the best around, but pretty good.
Thai curry shrimp 🤤🤤
Had dinner there last night and it reminded me of how good the food is. The sushi is amazing! You get fresh rice and fish and they are full! You can’t beat the price for the amount that you get. I always eat spicy salmon and spicy tuna whenever I go. Thai Square has the best! My daughter loves the chic fried rice. It is awesome too! If you live in the area definitely give it a try!
I didn't know what to expect, but I really enjoyed this restaurant. I would recommend.
Yummy! I loved the food. I had a difficult decision about my entree, I finally decided on Udon noodles.
The place was ok...I was happy with food but not wowed by it . I would return ...
The best 👌🏻
The staff is nice. The establishment is clean. They have great lunch prices. You can’t beat them. Go here at least once a week! Love it.
Chicken Thai fried rice was good, but my other dishes were underwhelming. I expected to be wow'd, but it gave more of an "oh." Sushi wasn't bad. I may return if I'm in the area.
Fried rice is always good. Nice to have a good place like this in Sunnyvale.
My favorite place to eat sushi
Vuelvo el lunes al especial
The food is so delicious, it should be illegal 😄
I’ve been eating here regularly for 2 years and it’s consistently good food. Never had a bad taste or error in presentation. The portioning is above average as well.
Get anything on the menu and you won’t be disappointed 👍🏽
I recommend ordering to-go. The dine-in staff is always short staffed with only one waitress so the service is slower than I’d like.
Pros: The food and the service the Japanese fired rice is really good, and the sushi is pretty good, too
Cons: It feels like theirs no space and can be a little bit pricey. Probably, the average for two is like 50 to 60 dollars.
Food was tasty, but the ac wasn't really working too well. A kid at the next table was watching videos at full volume, so atmosphere left something to be desired.
This is my second time is delicious 😋
Buy 2 get 1 sushi brought us in! Friendly staff and yummy sushi! Unfortunately they didn't have a changing table in the restroom so I had to change the baby in my car.
The place during lunch is missing waiters and waitresses and I felt rushed. Then I was told if I ordered something I couldnt switch for something else in case I didn't like it. The restaurant just felt cheap
This place is a hidden gem, fresh, big tasty rolls, lovely interior
La comida es muy rica, el lugar es agradable esta muy limpio, les recomiendo que visiten el lugar, los precios son razonables
The best Ramen noodle soup you will ever have!! I promise!! The sushi is so fresh and absolutely to die for!!
Great place I didn't really like the food that's just my thought but overall it's an alright restaurant.
Literally the best sushi in DFW!!! I would give 100 stars if I could, but is guess 5 stars will do! The fish is always so fresh, rice is perfect temperature and consistency and the shrimp tempura in every roll is perfectly crispy. Some fan favorites are the Playboy Roll, Lobster Fantastic Roll(sub seaweed instead of soy paper), Angry Dragon Roll and Coconut Roll. Our waitress is the sweetest and once even asked about my mom when she wasn’t there having dinner with me 🥹 I love the overall ambiance and am so glad this location is close by!
It is my first time in this restaurant. The reviews have almost five stars, so I was expecting so much more.
I ordered the coconut soup and Pad Thai with shrimp. It was absolutely awful! The waitress didn't tell me until it was too late that the entree came with soup. Since she knew I didn't unfortunately read the menu for the soup coming with my noodles, she brought
two bowls of soup to my table. Ok... The Pad Thai, noodles had overcooked shrimp, and the seasoning was bland, and my dining guest had really dry and hard overcooked steak. The whole dining experience was AWFUL!
Great Thai/Indian options in Mesquite/Sunnyvale area. Recommendations: Indian pancake, Panang curry, and Curry fried rice. My only complaint, if you order to-go the food is a little greasy and a little too salty. I would still go back.
Over salted Ramen. Flat soda. Huge miss. What a shame.
Sushi was really good, prices were even better. Service was slow but nice.
If I could give zero stars I would. The sushi was good. That is what I always ordered. Last time I decided to order Udon noodles to try something different. I still ordered sushi as well. When the noodles came out they were cold and tasted nasty. Almost like they have been sitting out all night. I did not touch them and told the waiter. He took the plate off the table. When I went to pay I saw that I was charged for the noodles $14. I asked if I could please get the noodles taken off my bill since I did not eat any of the noodles and he had taken it off the table. He went and ask the manager. She came over and told me "no, you have to pay for the noodles". I told her that they were gross and I didn't even eat them. She said it didn't matter. I said then if your going to charge me for something I did not eat and that was cold then I would like to at least take it home. She said I can't do that because the waiter already threw them away. I was just in shock. I'm not one to cause a seen or argue. I paid for everything but I will never return there. If that is how you treat people then I am never setting foot in there again. Horrible management. Does not care about customers.
Great place. Try this dish: curry fried rice with steak or chicken. And they have the best California Rolls.
Verl cool little place with a good vibe!
The atmosphere was relaxed and the food was so satisfying!
Nice atmosphere. Avoid being there at EOB or participate in the restaurant cleaning chores.
Very nice. Great sushi, fresh, and well prepared. Delicious food. Manager was very polite and assisted us with a new server, who did a great job. This place is easily accessible off the 80.
The outdoor patio would be fantastic in the Autumn. I wish they had toro and bluefin, but otherwise a very great experience.
Love the variety and staff
Delicious sushi 🍣 really great staff. Ate dinner there tonight and it was great. Will be back for sure.
I visited this place with my family who raves about this place. My dad and brother each got the pork Ramen which tasted really good and my mom got the poke bowl (I didn't taste it but she likes it). I had the lunch sushi handroll lunch special (I chose spicy salmon roll and shrimp tempura roll) which were fresh and delicious! I would definitely visit again!
We enjoyed the food and the service.
Love this place! Always delicious! We have tried 6 different speciality rolls so far and each one of them have been delicious!!
The first time at this restaurant really enjoyed it will definitely come back.
The Sushi was okay, nothing special about the rolls or flavor. So is the food. It was okay all in all.nothing to rave home or tell anyone about.
Love this place. I can get my sushi fix as well as my Thai fix. Wish they were open on Sunday though
This place is excellent!!! The food and service where awesome
So peaceful and quiet... I can just 🧘♀️ in here all day.... in my opinion best sushi in mesquite pricing is very fair
I love coming to Thai Square sushi! I mostly get the spicy kani roll but have tried their hibachi plates, udon noodles, and pad Thai. Everything I’ve had has been delicious and a good price!
Great service and food!
Pang Curry was made so well I enjoyed every bite and the restaurant was very comfortable and had a good atmosphere. There was also a beautiful girl who was sweet and i hope to come here again soon!
SO GOOD. there isn’t one thing that I have gotten and didn’t like. The staff is also very attentive and nice!
Red curry with chicken almost to perfection. My best Thai curry in Dallas area. Sweet, creamy and spicyness level spot on. Enough to fill me up. It came with mushrooms, which is not my favorite. Didn’t see it listed on menu. Also, their bathroom could be as cool as their atmosphere in the restaurant. But still give it 5 out of 5!
The Sunday through Thursday buy 2 sushi rolls get on free is great, our waiter was very attentive and kept our drinks topped off the entire time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone for sushi
Love having good sushi 5 mins away! Everything has always been fresh and the lunch special is always a win.
Great sunshine and friendly employees!!
This place has a special place in my heart. Went on my first date with my GF here. Great food and outstanding service.
My delicious Pad Thai came with a
miso dumpling soup which was such a pleasant surprise. The service is also top notch. Can’t wait to return!
Service was bad waited 10 min for drinks server/manager couldn't give any recommendations. So we ordered our food and 2 of our sushi rolls were not very good so asked if we can replace or order something different she said yes but had to pay for everything never have I ever been somewhere especially being first time were a server or manager would not replace or offer for us something else. I asked to speak to the manager and she said one sec and came back and she was the manager she kept repeating herself to me which I was trying to understand. Is like she thought I was trying to get my meal for free all I wanted was a different sushi roll and I am willing to pay. Never again. And no kind of customer service or friendly service at all will never go back.
Food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable.
Best Thai food in the city! The food never disappoints. Always great! Love the combination fried rice!
First time having the ramen bowl with the 🔥🔥🔥spicy steak it was good and the broth was hittin to. Then to wash it down with some apple sake it was aiiight but the peach one is the best one to me I'll be back.
We Used to come very often the food is ok but the lady is so rude
The food was very good. I came kinda late so the waitress was rushing my boyfriend and I to order. They had like 3 or 2hrs until closing. But other than being rushed I would have given the the place 5 stars !!! The food was really good !
Our new favorite hidden gem!
Food is delicious!
Delicious! Would definitely recommend!
