Came here on June 1st on a Saturday at 6pm for a party of 15 to celebrate my 24th bday!
Even during rush hour they accommodated my chaotic table and gave AMAZING service and food! The staff was wonderful and I’m so glad I choose my favorite restaurant to celebrate. They went all out at the end with fried banana and coconut ice cream (my absolute favorite) and the sweet rice was amazing (they gave us a ton of yummy dessert and I’m extremely thankful!) They even went out of their way to cut my cake that we brought as well :) again thank you guys for working so hard to accommodate us
Everyone loved the monkey brain (not pictured it was eaten immediately)
Ambiance : A casual atmosphere, the place was fully organized, clean and with the different seating arrangement it can carry big partis and small ones.
Services. Staff were very quick and friendly. I noticed a few other full tables and lots of takeout orders but still they manage to be fast, efficient and keep our drinks full.
Food. The dishes are fresh, have a great flavor and so many options. As you can get a mix of Thai or Sushi. Great in taste, and the size of the meal was acceptable too compared to the prices which is very reasonable in comparison to other Thia halal restaurants.
Chicken Pad Thai, Thai herbal chicken and pepper steak are the classic dishes, and I would say they were well done, the food was perfectly prepared and seasoned to please your taste buds. For me, that means anything else on the menu must be that much and more.
The orange chicken was tangy and zesty, and the chicken was crispy.
The tom yum gai soup was delicious. Loved the Eel with rice bowl.
The tuna tower and their sushi were very well received and enjoyed I am guessing from everyone.
I will definitely visit again to try more Entrées.
Stopped in for a late lunch, based on good reviews.
The food was fresh, hot, and tasty.
Place was clean and empty, but received a lot of to go orders while we were there.
Everything was good and worth trying. Considering we were the only customers, we had to ask for drink refills, which is the reason for 3 stars on service.
AMAZING FOOD!!!!! My fiance and I was on our way to another event. The traffic was so heavy here in the DFW that we decided not to attend. However, we were hungry. We drove and drove around. Found this place on Waze. We were skeptic because when we are hungry we don't like to try new places. Just in case we get disappointed. Zato did not disappoint AT ALL! It's a small establishment with great food! Service was over the top! We will go back. Thank you Zato!
rating the place as 2 star since they could not get the order right. I walked in to pickup my lunch order on a Friday later afternoon when restaurant had literally no one dining in.
Ordered Curry Fried Rice with Chicken and asked to make it mild in terms of spice level. I was handed over the spicy version.
Everything is high quality. The cooks clearly put effort into their dishes, and the meals are presented wonderfully. My favorite is the massaman curry.
Zato's is our go-to restaurant for Thai food. Have never been disappointed. Friendly service and eager to please waiters. We like that we can bring our own wine bottle in to enjoy with our meal.
As always, great food and fast service! We typically order food to go/delivery, but even the times we have dined in, we have thoroughly enjoyed it!
$17 for zato fried rice salty as hell 4 shrimp it was not worth it at all I couldn’t even eat it too salty can’t risk trying this again not for $17 it was a waste
Extremely inconsistent food quality. Sometimes it's the best I've had and sometimes it's just subpar. On a few occasions I have received very undercooked rice and food with absolutely no seasoning.
Edit: after calling to complain about an undercooked and unseasoned order, I'm changing my review to one star. The manager was rude, and did not listen to my complaints, making me repeat myself five times. I had to insist several times that I wanted a full refund but in the end got only a very small refund that was less than 20% of my total order cost that I was requesting to be refunded. This restaurant has gone severely downhill and I will not be returning, as well as advising my friends and family not to eat here either.
I could not be more satisfied with this establishment. Absolutely amazing food and service. It is now one of my most favorite places to eat. Would recommend this to anyone.
This place has amazing food. The Pad Thai is delicious and I always have some left over. I recommend ordering the "Combination". Always great service and very tasty food!
Super fresh and tasty. The portions are really good. I didn’t expect to ever have to think “oh I wish there was a bit more rice” because there’s so much toppings omg. Love the staff too
If you want halal, authentic Thai in a great atmosphere and staff who know what they're doing look no further. Zato is where it's at. Noodle wave can't compare. I recommend the Thai Basil Fried Rice!
Excellent food. Excellent service. We will be back again!!!!!!!
Cool and cozy place to eat and enjoy some sushi. One of my fav go-2 for curry also. Today was takeout for a comfort meal to eat at home
Friendly staff, clean environment, fresh and tasty food, definitely one of me and my son's Favorite!
Wanted to try the orange chicken and was very disappointed. Wasn’t good at all. The orange chicken is something I would never recommend it was so weird and felt like they soaked the chicken and barely any flavor and the rice tasted old. The only thing I would get from here is noodles, fried rice and sushi. I wouldn’t get any thing else.!
Good food.Warm and welcoming Staff.
Excellent food. Big portions. Chicken pad thai 3 stars to go was AWESOME.
This place has the best sushi and rolls in Dallas. The service is cool as well.
This is my favorite on that side of town.
Extremely clean place, good service, tasty food. Fairly priced too!
Great food
Delicious
Food was very good. Sushi was great
Ordered from Uber eats. My wife is Thai and an excellent cook, so I know authentic Thai food, and this curry checked all the boxes...just like at home. Will definitely order again next time I am in the area.
The food here was amazing! The sushi was beautiful and delicious. The servers were so friendly and helpful. It exceeded my expectations and I would definitely come here again!
Contaminación cruzada en los Alimentos., no recomiendo este lugar
Oh my gosh, the pad prik king with chicken is sooooo good. I need to get a photo of it next time.
Mediocre California rolls, bland and slightly burnt fried rice but good pad Thai. The men's restroom was also dirty.

The food is so good and the customer service is great.
Como olvidar a mi gente zato!! Excelente negocio catering
Was really nice and gave us all desserts. Loved it
Great food! I really loved the volcano roll it was so great. The always refill my drink and was so polite and quick had a great experience would go here again!👍✨
Great atmosphere, very fresh and delicious food, and amazing customer service. Definitely will be back :)
When I say delicious, I mean it!! Can't go wrong when ordering from here. Family came in town and we ordered from here. They loved it
Every time I order to go it’s like food from a week ago it’s never fresh. I just ordered rice it was full of salt.
I ordered Zato online through their Zing service on their website. Zing driver delivered food to the wrong address and would not answer my calls or texts. Called Zato management to report the issue and they told me that it was not their problem. I understand that accidents happen, but I lost over $70 in food, delivery, fees, and tip. The Zato management had every opportunity to make it right for the customer and refused. Unacceptable and disappointing as a customer. Will not be back to this restaurant.
Fresh Food
Greens not cooked enough no flavor Zapps is better
Great sushi!! Fresh and moist!! Will definitely be back!
Exelente lugar me gusta la comida de zato Thai . Se las recomiendo.
First time here and I’m very disappointed. We ordered hot green tea which was good and expected but no option for honey was offered nor available. For appetizers we ordered miso soup and soft shell crab. The miso soup was advertised with scallions and tofu. Mine came without the tofu and when I asked the server about it, he wasn’t sure so he said he would ask the kitchen about it. 10 minutes later, I had to ask the server again about the lack of tofu in the miso soup and he apologized and said the menu was incorrect. Now for the soft shell crab. I wasn’t expecting the presentation. It came sliced and unappealing. I tried a piece and it’s was very crunchy but a little fishy. My second bite was my last bite. It was so fishy and chewy and the taste lingered so long. I asked for it to be taken off my bill since it was not good, yet the server kept it on the table. I then asked for the crunchy rainbow roll and chicken teriyaki but both never came. We asked twice for the food to be checked on since every table around us, who came in after us, had received their order. Finally the server came back, apologized for not placing the order and asked what we wanted. We thanked him for the apology but asked for our check instead. They took the soft shell crab off the bill but paid full price for the tofu-less miso soup. Yes, I still tipped but we won’t be going back there.
I usually have a positive experience when I come into this restaurant location, but tonight was not so pleasant... I went in and asked for a soup with a side of fried rice and stated that I wanted my rice level 3 spicy and the guy who took my order just gave me a little snarky laugh and said that they could not do that considering I've requested it several times before. After going back and forth about it, he finally agreed to do it, but didn't even charge me for fried rice instead he rung up white rice which was not what I asked for. He then proceeded to tell me that I owed more money for it...after I received my order I decided that I wanted to change the whole order to something else instead. He then decided to give me a hard time about changing it and said he was unable to do that because I've already ordered. After all that chaos he then went back to speak to his manager and I finally got it resolved. Overall worst experience ever in this place!
Great lunch spot. I go often with my coworkers and it never disappoints. Portions are good enough to feed two people.
Service was good; staff was very nice; food was a disappointment
FOOD WAS SO GOOD. I definitely recommend to anyone trying out new Thai food. The sushi and sashimi combo is really good and is a work of art. The rice is super good and I love coming here. The workers are super helpful and nice too.
I order every Monday , either get any of the curries or fried rice . Comes out delicious every single time . They’re consistent with freshness and flavor . Never disappoints !

Overall rating: I wish I could give this place 6 stars because it's definitely a top favorite! I have been back to this restaurant so many times that the employees now recognize me. Thank you for the amazing culinary experiences!
I've ordered take out several times from them and each time, it's been astoundingly tasty! The staff is polite and will smile freely at you, the restaurant itself is clean and well-lit with a comforting ambience, the cooking staff is incredibly fast with orders, and the food is DIVINE!
Extremely recommended the curries and tom kha soup. I can't leave that restaurant without their soup!
See you again soon, Zato!
Been coming here for a few months now, it’s the best Thai food in north Dallas, the service is always amazing even when it’s packed. Definitely would recommend the chicken yellow curry.
I happened by Zato Thai while on an out of town appointment and I really lucked out! The food was delicious. The service was professional and atmosphere was great.
I hope to dine there again.
The Tom Kha Goong was dialed down to the requested spice level. Abundant jumbo shrimps and the signature flavors ensured consumption to the last drop.
The Pad Woon Sen had tell-tale signature of stir fry at very high heat. There were plenty of beef slices.
The Crispy Red Snapper was breaded - not my cup of tea because I prefer mine directly fried/grilled. Sizable quantity of mixed vegetables and rice were the accompaniment.
We settled for fried banana and coconut Ice-Cream with dollops of cream meant for sharing.
Ordered take out. Food was was but not great. Below average Thai food. Not a lot of flavor. Ordered a sushi roll that was good but a little small for the price. Overall good want great and a little pricey for what you get.
Gentleman with long hair was really nice & attentive. I had the pad kee mao and it was absolutely delicious!!!
I love this place best Thai food in dallas that I found so far and they have amazing sushi
Nice chill place. Yellow curry chicken level 3. Really popular. Rama long song, very good but may take a while. Zato fried rice. You can't go wrong with it. Do have deep fried sushi. Thai herbal chicken fried rice, very good. Standard Thai dishes, Pad Thai, Pad See Eew, Pad Kee Mow, Cashew nut, Spicy Basil, Thai Garlic, etc, all good. Halal. Not sure if all Kashrut but I have seen at least one who I think is Jewish eating here often.
The shrimp tempura and Zato combination fried rice were phenomenal! Our server was fantastic and the restaurant was spotless. Would definitely recommend this place!
Stopped in for a late lunch, based on good reviews.

Best Thai food in area, hands down. Sushi is a bonus. Alaska rolls are our favorite.
Love this place❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is a great place in a strip mall. They have lots of Thai dishes to choose from as well as sushi. Service was awesome. We went as an group and took bottles of wine to share. Check this place out!
Excellent sushi and fresh. Thai food is also good. Service is excellent.
I went in on a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet. The service was prompt and attentive. My food was delicious. I had the Tears in Heaven, and it has plenty of wasabi and jalapenos which I enjoyed but is definitely spicy. I also tried the pineapple fried rice and the portions are large. Everything was cooked really well.
The rice in my nigiri was so undercooked it was crunchy ...buy also gummy like it was old. It was super vinegary to a point of being sour. The fish is cut way too thick. Even the fried rice was bad- tasyed and looked like black pan chunks. I thought it was all rather gross. I won't be back.
The food is great and it’s halal! The only thing is that there are huge roaches/cockroaches here. I went to the other location and there was a huge roach! I stopped going there and gave this location a try and then there was a cockroach under my table. Management needs to do better with keeping the locations free of gross insects especially inside of a restaurant where people eat!
The service and food were outstanding, the atmosphere was ok but not fancy.
Excellent food hot and fresh. I would come more often if they had a lunch menu.
I was craving for Fresh Sashimi.
Tuna, salmon sashimi all outstanding.
The place has a fun casual atmosphere and the staff are friendly.
Japanese sushi restaurant serving fresh, authentic, delicious and beautiful dishes.
We will definitely be back!
My only suggestion is to come earlier during the dinner hours to avoid a long wait.
Always good. Fast service and quality food
I really wanted some Asian food and chose this place because of the ratings. Extremely disappointed with everything we ordered. We ordered two different rolls, pad Thai and an appetizer. The fried shrimp appetizer was the best thing out of everything. The pad Thai had a burnt smell and taste, and the roads had absolutely no flavor. Wish we had not ordered as many items because it was a complete waste of money and we still have to find something to eat!!
Loved Thai food. Glad to know it’s halal. Service was excellent, Samia was excellent.
One of the best tasting Asian restaurants I’ve been to. Everything I’ve tried was great, always bring people from out of town here. A BIG plus, it was halal when I went.
Food and service always amazing. Love their Thai tea and skillman roll
Really liked this sushi place but today I bought a roll for almost $18 and it definitely wasn’t fresh. Very smudgy, and I’m not the one to call to complain :(
My favorite is pad see ew with chicken and beef. Very addicting and feel good. I either get it delivered through Doordash or I pick up. Regardless of the option, the food is amazing and they serve it up quick and good.
Food was there. Flavor was not.
Really enjoyed the place!
Loved the sign on the door telling people to finish their phone conversations outside before entering.
Stopped in for dinner on Father's Day... My 1st visit, came because of the soft shell crab on the menu and BYOB ! The soft shell crab was a good crispy appetizer battered in tempura, served on daikon and drizzled with eel sauce. The papaya salad also tasted great and I loved the way the papaya was thickly sliced. Green curry with tofu was a thinner sauce than I would prefer, but still flavourful, served with rice and finally the Lad na noodles were garlickly yummy served with a savory brown gravy which I added shrimp to. Service was personable and I was checked on regularly. They do a lot of take out business but your order comes out fairly quickly. The level 3 spice of my green curry was hardly noticeable so next time I will try a level 4. Portions were a good size and reasonably priced.
Lots of great options, and food always tastes great. This is one of my go-tos now for family lunches and dinners. Try the curries, they will not disappoint.
Great food and very prompt and polite service.
Great sushi and Thai food. Service and atmosphere could be a little better.
Staff is friendly and the food was delicious. I had the Thai Orange Chicken and really enjoyed it because it’s lightly fried and wasn’t as heavy of a meal. Just a warning, if you go for a 3+ spice level you may encounter a few jalapeños!
Love the food and service!!!
Staff was friendly and fast. Very yummy food . Sushi was fresh and thai herbal chicken was very good as well .
Chicken satay was charred at certain places
Rice was well cooked and moist
Peanut sauce holder was very small
Curry dish ordered by friend was spicy even though she ordered it mild
Very friendly
The food is amazing!!!
I love this place. It is clean and everything is tasty
Great foot. Pleasantly surprised
Holy wow. I was just trying something new on UberEats (the Thai herbal chicken fried rice to be exact), and now Zato is EASILY the best Thai food I’ve ever had! It arrived hot and fresh. Nice packaging. Good portion- it ended up being three meals for me! Would have been nice to have a little more chicken, but the rice was so delicious and flavorful that it didn’t really matter. All of the flavors, the basil, the onion, the tomato… blend SO well together. My tastebuds were dancing. I can’t wait to try another dish from here. If you’re scrolling through reviews wondering if you should try this or not, DO IT! 5/5
Delightful Thai haven: authentic flavors, charming ambiance, and warm service for a truly memorable dining experience.
Chicken Pad See Ew - Awesome, one of my favorites! A little sweet and I recommend level 3 spice.
Beef Thai Basil Fried Rice - Okay fried rice, not my favorite but it was good.
Herb Chicken Fried Rice - Better than the Beef Basil Fried Rice, but I like the one at Sticky Rice better.
Chicken Pad Thai - Pretty good and huge portion! I think I like the one at Zaap more though.
Chicken Satay - Fun appetizer with an interesting peanut sauce. I liked trying it.
I recommend one dish per person if you're super hungry. Very clean location and everyone was nice and helpful.
Amazing, this place is my favorite in Dallas. Halal , delicious, clean and very friendly team. Good job. Highly recommend
Best sushi ever
We came 30 mins before close and the staff never made us feel rushed. They were so kind and truly made us enjoy our experience. Sunny was our server and was attentive and anticipated all of our needs. Will be back! 😊
We took the chili pepper steak and thai noodles. Both of them were great in taste, and the size of the meal was acceptable too. The seating arrangement is great, too.
The restaurant had many pickup orders when we dined in, but our meal was served in less than 8 mins.
The food is halal, which I confirmed on the phone before visiting and also in the restaurant before ordering. They have a halal sign on the main door.
They have spice level from 1 to 5. I requested level 4, but that was not spicy for me.
I will definitely visit again to try more Entrées.
While little bit overpriced, sushi were good. Nice atmosphere and nice people around
.
This was great food. Love the atmosphere. Quiet and calm. Fantastic customer experience. I sat there after eating not wanting to leave. Price points are spot on. Very family oriented
Great
Great food, fast and friendly service. What else could one wish for?
AMAZING FOOD!!!!! My fiance and I was on our way to another event. The traffic was so heavy here in the DFW that we decided not to attend. However, we were hungry. We drove and drove around. This was some of the most terrible sushi I’ve ever had. The rice was dried out and chewy like it was a day old at least, but that wasn’t the worst of it. I got the sushi combo and as soon as I opened the container it came in, I could smell the worst fishy smell. Two of the pieces of fish on the nigiri were clearly well on their way or already spoiled. The smell was overpowering and very bad. I threw them out, I wasn’t even going to take a chance on letting my cat eat it. I am in disbelief that the restaurant sent out food that is this low quality. I easily could have gotten sick if I’d eaten it. When I’m paying over $30 for something I would expect at least mediocre quality. This was below that.
I have been to many different Thai restaurants in this one takes the cake. I have been to places where I thought was actually just the world but this one has also taken more than just the world. It's like going outside the universe. Food is magnificent. You really want to get your taste buds into this food. This is not just something that you just put in your stomach. It feeds your taste bud also. Good job guys. Really go try these people. The restaurant is amazing. If you have one of those days that you want to go out and enjoy family or either along with your other, you want to go to this atmosphere
My first visit to Zato.Great place .The food was exceptionally good
Food was amazing and fresh. Best of all everything is halal.
Tuna tower, skillman roll, and curry fried rice were all AMAZING. Cannot wait to eat here again. Just found a new sushi go to place!
Very authentic flavors.Had fried rice dishes and noodles.
A fine meal
Wasn’t expecting this distasteful, bland and boring food from a Thai restaurant. Should have never ordered.
If you ever need food fast without it being fast food, this is the place! My wife loves sushi and I love Thai/Asian food, so it’s a great place with many options. The food is delicious every time too!
Thai Vegetable Fried Rice was delicious.
Absolutely love this place they make the best food and their staff is very friendly!
Excelente
Excellent combination of Thai & Sushi options offered in Zato. Tried the Drunken master, Ladna, Tom yum and couple of sushi menu. All are excellent 👌. Very Tasteful. Anybody into Thai food and sushi must visit Zato!
Carry out order was very tasty and organized well.
It was all great!
Found this place during the pandemic (takeout only) and it was pretty good. Even better now that we're back to "normal" sit in restaurant style
