Authentic Lao & Thai Street Eats
I am absolutely OBSESSED with Zaap! So much so that having it for a lunch just isn’t enough and I wanted to cater for a birthday party - BEST THING EVER!!! Portions were great and delicious, everyone loved everything and service is just always 100000/10! I will forever choose Zaap anytime I’m in the vicinity 😍😋
First off wife done lost her food picking privileges for a month. She trying to find some garlic wings like we had in Las Vegas. Not! These garlic wings were dry and didn’t taste like garlic. I’m disappointed but not to mad cause she paid. Glad I didn’t spend my money. I most definitely will not be back. The cream cheese crab rolls were disappointing too. I’m still hungry…
ZAAP is without question one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at. You really can't due their flavors any justice by writing about them. The pad Thai is just as perfect as I could expect. The fried rices are addicting. You really can't find a bad order on the menu. The owner actually runs the cash register which is great because she's so friendly and open to answering questions and giving recommendations. I don't live in Dallas anymore, but this is a restaurant I plan to return to many times when I come back to visit.
Amazing Lao & Thai street food with a fun clean atmosphere. Lao Iced coffee is STRONG - a bit sweet for those that prefer black coffee, but worth the try for sure. Mango sticky rice is also just perfect. Didn’t get the macron ice cream sandwiches but couldn’t stop looking at them
First time coming to this place and I love it!
I ordered red curry. I chose #5 as a level of spicyness because I usually don't get them that hot at other places. My curry was actually SPICY, FLAVORFUL & DELICIOUS. I also ordered fresh shrimp rolls. Not disappointed at all. Can't wait to try out other dishes.

Every dish is absolutely delicious and staff are so sweet!
Muy buena atención
Literally the best place, I messed up online ordering when they had closed and they re-opened the kitchen for me to make it. 5/5 stars
Great food and they give you alot.

Love it but portion sizes are getting small.
If you love authentic quick and delicious Thai food then this is where you need to be.
Multiple reports of food poisoning. I was sick in bed for 3.5 days vomiting 🤮 with diarrhea. Symptoms began within hours after eating the “chicken”. It felt like I was swallowing bricks as I was eating. It was ‘heavy’
Incredibly good Lao/Thai food. Know what you can handle when it comes to spice because they aren't playing around as you climb up the heat levels.

They are very nice. Take care of you and all your needs and the food is really good
Some of the best food in the area, but the service outweighs everything. I had a cashier named Marcella that made me feel so at home that we now come here weekly to try new dishes
Great curry, get the yellow.
Food tastes good, not really a big portion but enough to fill you up.
The food was not good. I ordered veggie egg rolls and pad thai. Both were bland. The pad thai seemed really old. Overcooked and undercooked all in one dish.
I love this place! I get the beef jerky, sticky rice and jeow som for the ultimate Laos experience. I miss Khao noodle shop and this is the closest to that flavor I can find.
This is a really solid Laotian/Thai chain(I thinks it’s a location chain?) The food is always really consistent, and the website for ordering to go is really easy to use and has such nice photos. We love the wings sausage and papaya salad here! One of the best parts is, if you order your meal spicy—it is spicy. Some places still skimp even when you ask for the highest level. Definitely recommend
Usually my go to for Thai and Laotian food around the DFW area. Quality of food is fantastic and the staff are extremely welcoming. ZAAP have many locations around the DFW area, but this one gave me the best experience. 10/10, would recommend this restaurant to anyone trying to get their Laotian and Thai food fix.
I got ZAAP Crispy Chicken Wings as an appetizer. Garlicky and crispy with a punch of umami flavor.
Pad Thai here is amazing, has all the characteristics of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy. I usually get the combination protein choice and the quality is amazing.
For dessert my date and I got Mango Sticky Rice. Just the perfect amount of sweetness that left my date and I speechless.
Definitely seeing myself as a weekly regular here.
Stumbled upon this restaurant because I was craving Asian food. This is now my new favorite spot, everything was so good!!! Highly recommend checking it out, you won’t be disappointed. Pro tip: try the papaya salad, yumm.
cool atmosphere :D
panda express quality Thai food D:
This place always does me right! I usually get the Lao sausage from this place and it’s worth every cent. It’s so tasty!! Oh I also recommend the mix veggie if you’re looking for a fiber pack meal. 😋
Food is greasy, burnt, not fresh and DEFINITELY not Thai. It taste like Sam's Club frozen stir fry and frozen spring rolls with cheap meats and spoiled vegetables. The only thing that tastes freshly prepared were the shrimp blankets.
I had been frequenting the location in Ft. Worth and enjoyed it enough that when work brought me to Dallas I decided to order from this location. HORRIBLE WASTE OF GAS, MONEY, AND TIME. These restaurants list that they are independently owned and operated. This one is the worst out of the 3 locations I have eaten. So bad that I have no desire to spend my money at any of the other locations again. Seriously the amount of oil used made everything taste soggy and bland, even though I ordered spice level 4. There was no taste of spice or flavor just grease. The heat was obviously turned up too high because the meat and the vegetables had burn marks. The quality of meat is cheap - the chicken was more like gristle and the shrimp were definitely tiny. On top of the poorly prepared food, the employees were going into the kitchen food prep area from outside the restaurant where they had retrieved personal items from their vehicles, without washing their hands. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise that the food tasted so horrible I threw it ($33 worth) in the trash, instead of getting food poisoning. This location is a poor representation of the Zaap brand.
I’ve been a persistent Zaap customer for the last 2 years. Their food and customer service is 10/10, every time! They will forever have my service. Highly recommend.
Picked up order of Pad Thai chicken and Yellow Curry tofu.
My hubby and I recently moved to this area and were eager to find a Thai restaurant for our go-to meal of Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. We’re both from Dallas and familiar with all the popular Thai restaurants in the city. However, since moving to downtown Dallas, ZAAP Kitchen was the closest to our house and we were pretty hungry!
Decided to give it a shot due to the good reviews. I was skeptical since I didn’t know if it was mostly whyte people posting reviews; people with bland palates. My hubby and I are both native to Dallas and are Mexican American so we love flavorful and spicy dishes; we’re partial to our Thai brothers’ and sisters’ cuisine.
I was not expecting much since we’ve dined at most all the Thai restaurants in the downtown area and were not very impressed with the taste.
However, this place offers TASTY dishes! I was blown away at the flavors and the spice levels offered. We’ve only tried the popular Pad Thai and Yellow Curry dishes but are excited to come back!! I’m eager to try their other dishes.
You will not be disappointed!
Coming from Oregon. This place is bomb. I recommend all the meat dishes.
Es el arroz más rico de todo el metroplex puedes decir que es un poquito caro pero cuando lo pruebas no te importa saber nada de el precio
Best drunken noodles, customer service 10/10, the young lady was kind and patient with me.
Awful service and food.
My fave takeout/ubereats spot. It took awhile to find my fave Thai spot nearby after trying so many different ones over the years. This place takes the cake. Faves: drunken noodles and garlic
The lady at the cash register was very nice and helpful. I got the combo with the garlic wings and they were some of the best wings I’ve ever had! They were the kind in which the more you eat it, the more you like it! Def recommend this place!
Uh, dang. I was really happy to learn I lived a block away from a Thai place. Unfortunately, the food was not good. I got two dishes, and most of both went to waste. Pad Thai and curry. Pad Thai was super greasy, just soggy with oil. Both the curry and the Pad Thai had an extremely burnt taste. They've got lots of positive reviews but I'm hesitant to give it another shot when other great Thai places are just a little farther and have never let me down.
I ordered delivery. The food was fresh and flavorful. I liked it better than their main competitors. I also highly recommend for vegans. It is so difficult to find a restaurant that doesn't add fish sauce to everything, even when asked not to. I typically have to sub soy sauce, which is boring. They make the online ordering so that you can pretty much select a vegan/gluten free option for any dish. I found my new place! Finally!!!
Food was fabulous! We had stir fry, noodles and curry. They were great and will definitely be back!
Zapp is one of my go-tos when I’m craving authentic Lao and Thai food. Flavors are bomb and their level 4-5 spice is actually spicy - like good Asian spicy! The food here and at the Greenville location are consistently good, but this location makes the best nam khao!
Been here a few times the drunken noodles *chef kiss* good food reasonable prices too.
ZAAP Kitchen from casa Linda location tasted way better Thant this location I wonder why
I actually forgot the dishes that we had but we were both happy with our choices. I was visiting but if I lived in the area I'd be back.
I purchased a thai basal dish with pork instead of the beef or chicken and was dissappointed in the texture as this was ground pork. The amount of basal was not as much and the dish was not as flavorable as usual. The egg rolls were spot on...temperature hot and fried just right! I tried the ice cream sandwich for the first time and it was good. I will go back again for sure!
Loved this place! The food, atmosphere and staff are some of the best in DFW! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!
Hands down the best Pad Kee Mao in Dallas! All of the staff was very friendly, and the Loa Sausage was pretty damn good as well!
I had the Lao fried rice and it was like I was back in Laos. If you want authentic Lao/Thai food come here.
Small location but I ate this for two days. Great food and I'll be back
Excellent food and service. Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices available.
I love this place! The staff are friendly and can help you order or you can order yourself and not have to talk to anyone. The manager is super sweet & accommodating & helps answer any questions you have. The food omg I can’t stop eating it. There are so many different options for whatever mood you’re in. You can never go wrong with the shrimp blankets, drunken noodles, and Laotian fried rice. Must try place!!!
Super awesome fast casual Laotian & Thai restaurant! The food is delicious and the owners/manager is very accommodating.
I love the Nham Khảo. curry, and pad Thai here. The Laotian coffee is a must try if you like Vietnamese coffee.
The food here is amazing and the staff is great too. Delivery drivers should listen to staff when they’re told not to touch the artwork on the wall.
There is a lady in the kitchen who was really rude to me and has an attitude although the lady on the register was nice but the lady inside kitchen was really rude!
This is one of my favorite restaurant...very friendly cozy atmosphere ...I moved back to my previous location because I missed how great it is!!!!!
The lady that is working in Kitchen is rude I think her name was lisa she is not treating the customers as she is supposed to!
I didn’t really wanted to leave a one star review!
But The lady named Lisa! Not really sure about her name but the one who works in the kitchen!
Is super unprofessional she doesn’t know how to talk to other people!
I believe that Someone who displays a business should be more professional!
It’s a good authentic Thai food! Highly recommended!! The price is good and the food is so tasty!! My favorite are the Tom Yum Soup and Pad See We noodles!!
It won’t let you be disappointed!
Amazing food, great selection. We eat here often!
For some reason this ZAAP is always a touch worse than the one up on Greenville for the same items. But that's a high bar - it's still really good.
Perfection!!! Its more of a togo spot but the food is damn fresh, reasonably priced and delicious! The number 4 spice level is no joke lol next time I’ll do a 3. Great customer service.
Lovely spot down the street from me. This small but hip spot has a great selection of Thai and Laotian cuisine. Their maximum heat still has plenty of flavor as well. I'm honestly going back again to work down the list.
Sooooooooooooo good! 😋
Came in for Pad See Ew. Saw good reviews thought I'd give it a try. At first glance, $12.99 was a bit of a sticker shock. Presentation was nice, it had good wok flavor, but it tasted bland. I was expecting to have more flavor, so I was disappointed. Also when I asked for additional sauce they charge another few dollars, so I felt nickeled and dimed.
Absolutely the best Laotian/Thai food I've ever had, well done!
Love it and can't wait to eat again!!!
Great food. Good prices.
Great
The food is very tasty but do not order on Uber eats. Zaap may or may not fully complete your order. I’ve ordered from here several times and I’m always left upset because the items that I paid for are not delivered. You also don’t get any utensils and napkins. I called to let them know that my most recent order which was today is missing an item and they told me to get a refund through Uber eats. I don’t appreciate the customer service.
Very easy to order over the phone, they even answered the phone before opening and allowed me to order which was great. Pickup was effortless thanks to the friendly staff. Interior was very clean and tidy. Food was amazing!
This was absolutely amazing! This was the best Thai food that I’ve eaten in the DFW area and I will be coming back again. I got the garlic stir fry with shrimp and it was delicious. The broccoli was perfectly cooked and the shrimp was perfect. My wife got the Tom Yumm with shrimp at a 3 spice level and she couldn’t stop eating it. We both got Thai tea which was amazing, by far the best Thai tea I’ve ever had. Throughout the entire meal, both my wife and I were amazed at the quality and flavor of this food. Highly recommend.
ZAAP is without question one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at. You really can't due their flavors any justice by writing about them. The pad Thai is just as perfect as I could expect. Such good food! Get the bang sauce, so good for...everything... I used it for my veggie spring rolls and ended up putting the rest over my pad key mow... Not that it needed it, they were yum, but I hate to waste 😁
This place is as close as it will be to authentic thai and Lao food. I ordered family style with my boyfriend and got
- Pad Thai
- Papaya salad
- Wings
- Meatball
- LAAB Beef
- sticky Rice
All very good except hours later I wind up vomiting and reoccurring stomach aches. Mind you this was on a Saturday and it is currently Monday. I still have symptoms of food poisoning up until today, 2 days later.
ZAAP is my go to fried rice or drunken noodles spot. It's a large portion, quick, and delicious every single time. My wife and I order ZAAP almost once and week and it's a lot of restraint to not go more frequently. Whether dine in, take out, or delivery, they are always great.
This was my most favourite Thai restaurant in Dallas, but my recent experience made me realise that it’s not for me. I ordered a green Thai curry and drunken noodles, specifically mentioned that I’m a vegetarian, so not to add meat, oyster or fish sauce. After placing the order I again mentioned that, just to be sure. We later realised after we had, had some curry that there was a piece of chicken in the curry. Being a strict vegetarian I just couldn’t eat then. They did refund us for the curry and apologised but that won’t help me with the trauma. Not everyone would understand this, but if you are a vegetarian, just be careful if you plan to try this place.
Delicious food, great prices, quick and friendly service, and clean dining area! Highly recommend!!!
Probably the best Thai food I’ve had in downtown Dallas!
Even with our complicated dietary restrictions causing them to remake our meal, the customer service was amazing, and so was the food! Every time it is consistently good!
Can’t stop getting Lao fried rice with vegan adjustments. So. Good.
Exelent food. We definitely will come back for dinner. And so close to hour house
I am Thai and I ordered some Thai foods, they do ask for the level of spicy you like from 1-5 rating, choice of meat. I ordered the 4 level for each food and the tatste are really good, close to real Thai taste. Our kids enjoy chicken deep fried with sticky rice. Pad Kee Mow also one of our selection for dinner and of course Papaya Salad (somtum) and Laarb that’s so wow and have an amazing favor. Macaron icecream is a choice for dessert after you can’t hold the spicy from food. A lot of customer come for both pick up and dine in. Thank you for serving and cook us a good food. I recommend you to try their food.
Food was pretty good but curry was a little thin. Service is very good.
I would give 4.5 stars because I’m a tough cookie, but I have to show love for this place. They don’t get enough business for the quality of food they put out.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the fried rice, but I sense that was moreso due to the fact that I put spice on it more than the actual dish.
The drunken noodles with ground chicken is very good. A bit too much sauce that I have to drain out, but better too much than too little!
The Thai tea is very solid. Not the best I’ve had, but it is definitely worth getting.
Good food
Everything is great! The tom yum soup is my go to with level 4 heat! The wings are some of the best around if you like garlic! You’re welcome!! Lol
Delicious
My first experience with ZAAP, through DoorDash, went extremely well. The food arrived in 20 minutes, still hot!
I ordered the Laotian fried rice with "combination" proteins... chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp, with a fried egg on top. There were three large shrimp and innumerable chunks of the others. The rice was wonderfully flavorful all by itself. The volume could easily have made two meals, but I was having none of that! I raced through it, with occasional sips of Pinot grigio.
I chose the second-highest degree of heat which turned out to match my taste exactly... spicy! My nose set up a steady flow, that in no way diminished the epicurean delight of this wonderful meal.
If I got sentenced to death one day and had to choose a last meal, it’d be the Combination fried rice and a coconut juice. In all seriousness, ZAAP has my entire heart. Everything is so delicious and the staff has always been great to me! If only there was a location closer to me 😭😭😩❣️
Excellent food and great place despite small mistakes/mixups. Very high volume so probably good to check your food before you leave, but it's worth it.
Tonight my order was wrong, but they fixed it quickly and it was delicious and actually as spicy as I like (some places hold back when you order a level 5).
Overall delicious food and good customer service. Good pricing as well
So glad I found this place! The best Thai food in Dallas. We loved everything we ordered (yellow curry, pad Thai, Laotian fried rice, and red curry). Can’t wait to go back to try more dishes!
Their noodle dishes are great. I will for sure order from here again.
My god, one of the best if not THE best Thai place ever. The crab cream cheese rolls are so good. The thai tea is also some of the best I’ve had. The woman at the counter was also super nice and professional, 100% will be back and will recommend my friends.
Great customer service, tasty food with friendly prices!
This is the best Thai street food I’ve had since walking near Patong Beach, on the way home from the bars on my last night in Thailand! The noodles are perfectly cooked, texture I remember well, and they even have that unique smokey, caramelized street-grill flavor. The shrimp in my dish were fresh and tender. Every element of the real street food experience is present. The restroom was very clean, with a UV light hand dryer, a great feature I rarely see in any restaurants, nonetheless a small one like this. The Dallas mural on the wall is beautiful too. We’re definitely coming back - and soon.
First time here and everything was delicious. Food came out fresh and hot. Cashier was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!
Tried it Pee Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). I chose very spicy and love that you could set your levels of spicy since some places don’t add enough for me.
The veggie spring rolls were good too.
Portions were pretty large and food is reasonably priced.
Overall I’d definitely recommend if looking for Thai food in Dallas.
Wow! Their food is AMAZING. Best yellow curry I've had and drunken noodles were delicious. I love the variety of spiciness levels they have...I went with super spicy and it was perfect. I ordered this from DoorDash but next time I'll be sure to go in person and check it out. Will definitely order from here again.
My son and I enjoyed the food here, and the service is great thank you Alisa! We will definitely be returning, it was our first time and we were pleased.
We had the pad Thai and Pad See Ew- our favorite Thai dishes, and they were the best we’ve had in years. We did “2” on the spice scale, and it was *almost* too spicy for us, and we enjoy spicy food. Thai spice is just next level!! The restaurant is clean, and the staff was kind, patient, and helpful.
GOOD AF
Tasty wings and curry!
The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. My husband said it’s the best pad Thai he’s ever had!
Best Thai Food I've eaten. Great customer service. Amazing shrimp pad thai! And best Thai Tea I've had. Recommend eating here.
Good food good service
Probably the best Thai food in the area. Fresh and tasty.
Great food
Shout out to their mixed vegetables stir fry! And the Pad See Ew Sheeeeeeeesh!!
Hospitality is A1
Food is great
Clean & welcoming environment
One of the best Thai/Lao food in the Dallas area.
Price is reasonable and every bite of the food makes it worth it.
We first tried Zaap at a friend’s wedding and were blown away - literally it was all anyone talked about for a whole week. So of course, we catered Zaap Thai for our small housewarming party. Alyssa was easy to communicate with. They were able to accommodate our dietary restrictions and modifications. The food was delivered on time. Our guests loved the food so much - they went for seconds and thirds and we still had leftovers! Everyone wanted to know where the food was from because it was so delicious. We had spring rolls, pad kee mao (chicken and vegan), and tofu curry fried rice.
Love the sticky rice
Very nice and friendly experience. Everything was fresh and awesome. Had a little of everything.
These people are amazing especially Alex, who is very helpful. And of course the food is always great. Best Thai.
Some of my favorite pad Thai! Awesome red curry and fried rices too. Love this place.
Very good food! I have tried the Laos fried rice and the pad Thai. Both are awesome.
This is our go-to for takeout now. So incredibly delicious!
Pad See Ew is legit.
Friendly staff, great authentic food!
Love the Laotian fried rice. Great service and overall the food is awesome
Fantastic. Will be coming back very soon.
Love it! We go a couple times a month. I love that the new location is within walking distance and I never have to wait for a Togo order. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Food is fantastic and will still continue to go over and over!
Great food. And the door dash guy forgot my order and someone named Paul who works there drove all the way to my apt to drop it off. Super nice!!!
Great food. I love the sticky rice and lao sausage. The wings are so good, too. When I miss Lao food this hits the spot.
Best Thai Food around. Fried Rice, Pad Thai, and curries are all amazing!
Foods are very tasty and price are just right, not too expensive.
Amazing Lao & Thai street food with a fun clean atmosphere. Lao Iced coffee is STRONG - a bit sweet for those that prefer black coffee, but worth the try for sure. Mango sticky rice is also just perfect. Didn’t get the macron ice cream sandwiches but couldn’t stop looking at them
It was a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant that serves a really good Laos/Thai food in this area. Panang curry was really good. It reminded me of Lotus of Siam in Vegas which I really enjoy going to whenever I'm in Vegas.
Delicious 😋
Pad Kee Mao is a must. Return trip so to take on more of the menu offerings. The macaron ice cream sandwich are amazing as well.
Had the pineapple fried rice with chicken and it was delicious. Friendly and fast service. They check temperature upon entering, which is great for safety. Quick, easy, and cheap. Will definitely dine there down the road!
Great portion sizes. Good value for the money. Good not great.
Wow wow wow. What can I say! I’m an avid Thai food lover and am always looking for what’s “spiciest”.... let me just say, they really nailed it. I ordered the drunken noodles and it was incredible! My husband still dreams about his spicy Thai basil fried rice as well 😂 overall, our experience was great and the staff was so friendly. Will definitely be back!!
The best pad thai I have ever tried, the staff is awesome and the place is super clean! 100% recommended!
Delicious food!
Ordered several different dishes to try and all were delicious. The glass noodles are quite yummy as well as the panang curry. Make sure you order some crab rolls.
The food is great!! We came to check out the new restaurant, and we're glad we did. We ordered the Crispy Zaap Wings as an appetizer followed by the Red Curry and Basil Fried Rice. They were all delicious. Spicy but not overwhelming.
They definitely addressed the Covid issues as well. Temperature checks at the door, required mask wearing, and spaced tables. They took care of it all.
We'll definitely be back!
Everything here is so good!!! Always stuck between wanting to try something new or getting what I usually get but neither option has ever failed me. My fave has got to be the Nam Khao!!
What can I say they are good 👍 love the food
Great Experience! I have been looking for a good Thai restaurant in Dallas since I moved here, and ZAAP blew my expectations. I ordered the Pad Woon sen "glass noodles" and it was amazing. I also ordered the sizzling Lao sausage, which gave a very unique and fresh taste. While the food was amazing, the staff are also so friendly and make you feel welcome. Will definitely be back in the near future!
Very god food here! Taste like home!!
Great food, good experience!! Good good
