I love @immmchicago ! I’ve been here several times and I’ve never had a bad meal. The atmosphere is very aesthetically pleasing, so pretty and chill. If I had to pick a favorite item it would be the curry puffs and the kao moo dang. The Thai coffee and tea are both great too! I will definitely be back to try the bar because they have so many fun looking drinks. Definitely worth the trip if you’re thinking about stopping in!!
Had an amazing experience at the bar. My friends and I had some great cocktails and enjoyed watching the bartenders in action. The mango sticky rice was delicious. I was impressed by Moss keeping their cool and crafting gorgeous cocktails in spite of the restaurant being very busy after the Lunar New Year parade.
Thank you, Moss and Lu for taking great care of us! We will definitely be back.
I found this place when I was looking for after duck drinks
The menu looked good, so I decided to come back for food. I'm glad I did, as it's quite tasty !
The green curry chicken was guys, but seemed to be a bit thin, and lacking in substance. The beef noodles were a bit more substantial, and had a little more flavor
As a side, we ordered the Kor moo yang (pork)
The dishes we had were both hits and misses, but I'm more than willing to give this place another shot
Papaya salad and khao soi were amazing!

Decent food. Had to pay extra for the rice for my dish which I found odd but whatever.
I'm not sure why, but the handheld machine I tipped on and electronically signed to "finalize" payment was less than what was actually charged to my card. Doesn't make a lot of sense but not worth figuring out for less than $2. I just won't go back to a place where charges magically appear after I sign the CC payment for an agreed amount.
the atmosphere was good but the food was generic and not worth the price. the bad thing about this experience was the automating tipping which was much higher than the actual %. is this scammy? also, they charge 3.00% credit card fee.
Great service and good food
@immmchicago
Friendly service and good food
Great spot
Great flavor but wouldn’t recommend the 1 item lunch plate. 90% rice and the rest is the main dish.
Quick and Courteous Staff! Amazing flavors.
Immm is my favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago. The flavor is spot on and the menu items are the ones I usually gravitate towards. From grilled pork jowl to the Khao Soi. The pork jowl is so tender and flavorful. It's a must! The Khao Soi and so warm and soothing. A Chicago winter staple for me.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago! They have a much more interesting menu than many, including som tum, various curries, and a host of great desserts. The kor moo yang, curry puffs, and moo wan are all incredible, too, and the service is top-notch. Also love getting multiple items with the well-priced lunch special. You really can't miss with Immm!
Possibly the best Thai restaurant in Chicago!!!
Spectacular cocktail menu. Great service. Food comes out super quick. Foods great. Good prices. Clean & cozy atmosphere.
I LOVE IMMM CRISPY PORK WAS KILLER.
I love this place so much! The khao soi is to die for
I went here recently with a friend when I was visiting home. The restaurant itself is so cute and the food was amazing. The service was great. Will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in Chicago. It almost makes me want to move back home and that's saying something.
I have been coming here since it was half the size, and I absolutely adore the food here! The best curry in the city hands down!
OMG How could I just try this restaurant today? I have to come once a month.

餐點美味
Disappointed. I gave them a second try for lunch. Food and service were bland - both times.
Amazing I come every weekend I’ve never been disappointed
Amazing and delicious food! The cocktails are superbly made and super decadent ♥️
This food was crazy amazing. We got boat noodles, khao soi, and fried rice. Each were individually amazing but we absolutely loved the fried rice. We are biased since we love fried rice but this was exceptionally good. The boat noodles reminded us of pho, and the broth was delicious. khao soi broth was also delicious but reminded us more of a curry. Would 100% recommend this place and will be returning, often.
Best thai food in chicago!
Unapologetically traditional Thai street food. Amazing food, great service, always a pleasure to sit down or order for pickup!!
Always hits the spot, even better I n person.
Delicious food - one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Chicago. Their Pad Kee Mow and Pad Se-ew is always a hit as it is both nicely wok charred and well seasoned. The Chicken Satay is also very good among the other appetizers like the (Moo Grab) crispy pork belly. I honestly haven’t had a dish that I dislike here. I’d 100% recommend if you’re in the area.
I really wanted to like this place, but I just can’t justify a glowing review when they charge $2 for a few extra pieces of vegetables. It’s frustrating when something like chicken ends up being cheaper than an onion. Overall, the experience was okay, but the pricing for small additions leaves much to be desired.
Delicious food. The papaya salad was exceptionally tasty but be careful even a level 3 of 5 spicy was a lot and I love spicy food. Amazing beer selection! Friendly and attentive staff! Outdoor seating is plentiful and the seat by the open window was also very nice!
So freaking delicious! We come here almost every weekend.
Every time we come, we get the Tiger Cry, the sauce it comes with (Spicy Jaew Sauce) is so good, we would get buckets of it if we could.
The Pad See Eiw and the Pad Thai Never disappoints!
Not to mention the fried chicken skin appetizer!
The Panang Curry is a really nice mixture of sweet and spice that just pairs with the rice so well.
Don't even get me started on the deserts! From the Pad Thai Ice Cream to the donuts to the Mango Sticky Rice! Immm made us fall in love with Mango Sticky Rice.
The service is also great! The servers know us by now but they have always been friendly.
Would highly recommend it if you are interested in delicious food!
My favorite pad Thai in Chicago, highly recommend
What sets Immm Rice & Beyond apart is its authenticity and affordability — a combination that’s hard to find in the city. Whether you’re craving a quick lunch or a casual dinner, this spot is perfect for enjoying bold Thai flavors without breaking the bank.
great funky music and lively ambiance great for solo groups locals or travelers. Dined in early on a Saturday night and weather was perfect for patio seating and includes separate indoor bar. ordered jasmine rice with beef dish (Khao Nar Neur and medium spicy chicken tom yum soup with ginger beer. This is a must to try in Edgewater Argyle Asian area! will definitely be back!!

This place is awesome. Just had it for the first time and I’ll be back very soon. Had the grilled pork, steak, basil egg roll, pad Thai, and the banana leaf coconut rice dessert. All of it was excellent.
@immmchicago! I've been coming here for a few years now. Everything I've had at Immm has been great! My personal favorites are khao soi and pad nam prik pow, and today I ordered pad nam prik pow with jasmine rice. Plenty of GF options, stellar servixe and a lovely atmosphere.
The service is good. And the food is superb
The food is great as well as the staff.
We shared and greatly enjoyed the beef pad thai, which was especially good with some added spicy sauce! Also very much liked the Vendetta and Eight Limbs cocktails!
I was very disappointed they don't have Crab Rangoon on the menu. I probably won't order from there again.
Quite abysmal. Cooking left a lot to be desired. Satay tasted boiled, cashew chicken lacked flavor and the pork belly was over-fried. Even the most basic item, jasmine rice was HAARRRRD. Mango with sticky rice was just another disappointment with mushy rice and sour mango. 15 years ago there wasn’t a lack of excellent Thai (Rosded, Siam Cafe comes to mind), but now you’re hard pressed to find anything good and unfortunately Immm isn’t it.
Friendly service
Some of the best Thai food in Chicago. Totally worth the wait if it’s busy, this place is incredible and I rarely enjoy eating out so much. Every single dish was perfect.
We came here for dinner on a Friday night. I had the Boat Noodles which were so tasty and unique. The flavors were unlike other Thai food I've had and were so comforting. My wife had the Pad See Eiw which was also very tasty. I knocked off a star because the portion sizes were small. For appetizers we got the Thai Curry Puffs and Gyu-za which both were tasty. The curry sauce on the Thai curry puffs was sweet, which was a surprise. We came here about 9:00 PM on a Friday, and they close at 10:00. We were out by 10:00, but felt really rushed to leave which I didn't feel great about. We were asked to pay when we got our entrees, and then every plate was removed the second we finished the food on it. I definitely don't want people to stay late for me, but also I thought it was a bit excessive!
The service and food are both as wonderful as each other. The place is a nice place to some and chill and eat some good Thai cuisine. Would come again
This is my favorite Thai food place in Chicago. I cannot recommend it enough. Their food is delicious and fresh, and they have more interesting options than your standard Thai restaurant. They have a great outdoor patio in the summer (granted, it's on Broadway which is kind of noisy, but that's fine), and a good amount of seating indoors. They recently added a cute bar with great cocktails.
Had a fantastic meal with great service! Across the board, every drink and dish that we ordered was fresh and delicious.
Absolutely the best Thai food in uptown! Everything is so flavorful and fresh. The service is so attentive and upbeat. Everything came out as expected and exceeded our expectations
This is a solid Thai spot with unique food choices. The Soop Nor Mai (bamboo shoot salad) was tangy, sour, savory, and refreshing—a definite highlight. The Pad Prik Khing had a lovely spicy kick with a distinct kaffir lime flavor. Other dishes we tried, including the Chicken Satay, Khao Soi, and Kai Loog Kuey, were all solid.
The interior is very vibrant, and there's a large outdoor patio. The pacing could be slightly improved, as all the appetizers and main courses arrived at once, but overall it was still a great meal.
Love the Khao Soi and Papaya Salad
I found this place when I was looking for after duck drinks
The menu looked good, so I decided to come back for food. I'm glad I did, as it's quite tasty !

Always delicious! I really appreciate the gluten-free options, too.
Hidden gem…Chicago has a lot to offer but not many Asian fusion restaurants can hold a candle to Immm. O Liang iced coffee best in the city fried chicken skin best in the city. You gotta check out this hidden gem.
Very good pad basil and egg rolls, but rice is an add-on and the serving size is a bit small for the price.
Amazing food. Best Thai food in Chicago! The bar after hours has very unique and incredible drinks that are all delicious. Highly recommend!
Nice yummy food. Ordered some spicy chicken (pad prik) and some fried rice and both were good. The pad prik was especially flavorful and had a slight spice to it. Everything tasted fresh and we enjoyed sitting outside. It was a busy Thursday night and all the outdoor and indoor tables were full. That's always a good sign right?
Bar is so much fun! Great atmosphere, delicious drinks, excellent service!
Favorite neighborhood spot
Amazing food that came out fast. Also had great service!
Excellent service always! This is my favorite Thai place in the city. The pad Thai is a must order. They expanded and now offer beer, wine, and specialty cocktails. Outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Plenty of seating. Have only had wonderful experiences here and the to-go food is just as good! Go check them out.
Average normal Thai. Slightly interesting atmosphere. Service was ok. If you’re in this neighborhood you should seek out one of the Vietnamese restaurants instead.
This restaurant has such cute vibes! This place is super cozy and has amazing lighting. They have some chill lofi music as you eat and hang out with friends.
Their chicken pad Thai was super flavorful and their Thai iced tea is an absolute-must have! Come support a great local business!!
fantastic pad thai. cool interior, though I had take out. lots of flavour! I asked in the comment box for it to be spicy and it was, which I appreciated. good amount of noodles and the chicken wasn't awful/dry and flavorless like many thai places.
Tastes like real Thai food!
My friends and I came here for dinner after countless recommendation of this lovely thai spot in Argyle. The interior is lovely with lanterns and chalk drawings. We ordered a plethora of food to make sure we got a good coverage:
Apps:
- Chicken skin: crunchy and cripspy
- Chicken satay: tender and rich peanut sauce
- Poh pia krapao: love the thai basil ground chicken stuffings
Entrees:
- Koey teaw tomyum gai (chicken tom yum noodle soup): good dish but can use more of the delicious tomyum broth
- Tum thai kai kem: interesting combinations with salted duck egg, very refreshing
- Khao mun gai (hainanese chicken rice): the rice is super flavorful with chicken fat and they nailed the chili garlic ginger sauce
- Pad see ew: must get, one of the best pad see ew i had thus far, smoky, charred bits are my favorite, beef is tender and addict wide rice noodles.
- Kai loog kuey: the tamarind sauce on the fried egg is a great combination of flavor and texture, sweet and sour
- Pad horapa: this stir fry is filled with veggies, wet in sauces and very easy to devour
Dessert:
- kao neaw ma muong - mango sticky coconut rice: love the sticky rice, mango is a bit too sour to be a good pairing for me
- thai donut: a guilty treat with salty cripsy fried dough bath in condensed milk, nothing can go wrong
Drinks:
- Thai ice tea: delicious and will wake you right uo
- Green thai ice tea: must try, delicious, very different from regular thai ice tea, strong note of pandan
- Longan drink: light and sugary longan flavor
Love this spot! I can see myself going back for pad see ew and green thai tea.
Amazing customer service, food was very satisfying, the vibes are amazing!! Definitely recommend! And the shrimp wontons are fire!
Best Thai food in Chicago! Been coming since they first opened, have never had a bad experience. Love this place!!
I got takeout here for a friday night. I got a classic, Pad Thai. The takeout was quick, even when the restaurant was busy inside. Even though i didn’t eat inside, the restaurant was so adorable, it made me wish i went to eat there instead. I appreciate the size of the portion and the meal was packed neatly. First thing i noticed was how dense the flavor was to the dish. I loved the tamarind fish sauce and preserved radish. They added a dense flavor to the dish. The chicken pieces were cut big and were juicy. overall it was very good and even though i was full, by the time i finished it i was wishing i had more. Safe to say i will be back to try more they have to offer and next time dine in!
Mmmm that’s good
Some of the best Khao Soi I've ever had in Chicago! Great ambiance and service as well.
One of the best Thai places I’ve been to in the city. The boat noodles are insanely good.
Nice, casual Thai restaurant with a unique menu. Love the chicken skins appetizer.
A lot of good Thai food in the city, but this is up there and holds its own. Everything tried on the menu was a hit, particularly the Khao Soy and Carmelized Pork Belly (which was ordered as an appetizer). The Penang Curry I ordered was more brothy than silky but was delicious and flavorful. Staff was really friendly
This place always manages to amaze me. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and offers genuine Thai hospitality. Whenever I go there, it feels like home.
So good in all respects. Don't sleep on the bar program. Flavors are great, it's Thai so ask staff questions because spicy means something different compared to most places that say that.
My partner and I went here and unfortunately ordered the same kind of dish (apparently the papaya salad -- we went off the online menu, which wasnt very descriptive and we thought it was noodles). Either way, Im down for a salad, but it was virtually inedible (I ate 2 bites and thought I was going to puke--it also smelled like something died/was from a trash can). My partners was a little more bearable but felt we still got bites with not great tastes that we called it early. The coffee was tasty though. The waitress was also not friendly. I dont think we'll be going back to try other things, as I have yet to have food from somewhere where I couldnt even begin to eat it / had to walk out.
whenever i need a pick me up, immm has the perfect little appetizers and snacks for me to grab quickly and head home to enjoy. it’s always packed whenever i go in, so i don’t mind grabbing takeout because it’s just delicious. their teas are underrated; perfectly sweetened and steeped just right without bitterness lingering! don’t forget dessert here; on a whim, i stopped by to grab something new and the kao tom and kanom tuay changed my life
& the chicken gyoza are to die for <3
Absolutely delicious Thai food. Service was prompt and friendly. All entrees were packed full of beautiful and complex flavors. Highly recommend the boat noodles and pad Thai The interior was clean, albiet a little densely packed. Prices were a bit steep but the experience was well worth it.
Everything is phenomenal, from service to the meal, Immm Rice & Beyond does not disappoint!
Best chicken pad Thai I’ve had in Chicago
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the city because they have the typical Thai dishes we’ve all come to love, but there are some unique dishes here as well that set them apart from other places.
In particular, the Kai Loog Kuey (Son-in-Law eggs) and Kuay Tiew Ruea (boat noodle) are must-try dishes. Every time I come here, I try to order something different and I’ve never come across a dish I didn’t like so far.
I also love the vibe of the place. It’s very colorful and well-designed, and the staff are very friendly and always give me their recommendations for dishes.
Papaya Salad is brilliant...First went when they opened. But we are regular takeout. The menu is perfect, high quality, and creative food choices!
This is the best authentic Thai food around! I recommend this place to everyone in need of a satisfying Thai meal in Chicago.
Place is a lil' small — but I love the vibe.
One of the best Thai restaurants in Chicago. Excellent service.
The food is delicious! The basil egg rolls (Poh Pia Krapao) are my favorite item. Customer service is great since Vicky went out of her way to correct a situation gone wrong from the third party delivery company so I really appreciate her!!
This is my favorite Thai restaurant I've been to. Having been to Thailand, it's so hard finding Thai restaurants that are as good as the food truly was there. This restaurant does an excellent job of serving dishes that are authentic to what Thai food is really like. Their new bar is amazing too! The cocktails are so unique and so good. My husband and I used to live pretty close to Immm, but moved to the south side of Chicago. Every time we're back in the neighborhood though, Immm is top on the list of places to go! We've been a number of times, and the staff is consistently amazing.
Whenever we have friends from out of town, this is often the most requested dinner spot! The boat noodles are great
greattttt food and service. will be coming back! i liked the cider too.
Great shot to have a casual dining experience. Highly recommend. Staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable.
Great food, friendly staff, beautiful renovated space
This was very bad. Some of the worst thai food i’ve had in a long time the curries are super thin and watery with no flavor. The chicken skin had zero seasoning on it.
But I’m giving them 2 stars because the curry puff was good and the Tiger cry was ok.
Went here on my search for Chicago’s best pad Thai & I was not disappointed! We ordered Thai puff pastries as a starter, and they were warm, fresh & flaky. We also had boat noodles and pad Thai with tofu. The boat noodles had a rich, delicious brown broth and the pad Thai was AMAZING - fresh, balanced ingredients & crunchy fresh bean sprouts.
This space is adorable and comfy. The apps are DELISH & my pad thai was demolished within minutes!
Food was mediocre - ordered the KHAO MUN GAI or Hainanese Chicken Rice. Tiny portions, chicken was very dry, kind of tough to chew and seemed reheated not fresh - same with the rice. Tiny tiny soup side bowl.
Best lunch special in the area!!!
