Thai Restaurant in Bensonhurst Brooklyn. We do Dine-In, Takeout, Pick-UP and delivery. We believe in good food with quality ingredients. We cook Thai food the way it's supposed to be.
This casual Thai eatery offers kind and welcoming service, with portions that are larger than you'd expect.
The lunch special is definitely worth it! The Bangkok Fried Rice, Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles were good, though the Drunken Noodles tasted more like Pad See Ew—sweet and savory rather than spicy.
The pork belly basket and chicken satay were just ok. Overall, good value.
I preferred delivery and everything came hot and neatly organized. I love Thai iced tea and it definitely hits the spots. The chicken basil is flavory and a great portion. It’s great to have a thai food place locally in the neighborhood without having to go to the city or downtown.
We’ve always passed by this spot but never had the chance to try it out until today! We started off with the pork belly basket and it was so delicious. I loved the little sauce that it in came — it paired well with the crispy pork. We also ordered some drinks (highly recommend the passion burst and the Thai iced tea). As the main entrees, we got the classic pad Thai (which has shrimp and chicken) and the chicken cashew. Both were super good and savory. I loved how tangy and it peanut-ey the pad Thai was. I also loved the spices used for the chicken cashew. Highly recommend this spot to satisfy your Thai cravings 10/10!
Disappointing. After a long day we just wanted to eat some good takeout. The Curry Puffs were good so I was looking forward to the entrees. The Pad Thai was dry and too spicy-that being the only flavor. The Drunken Noodles had minimal flavor. The woman that gave the order was pretty rude. Not sure if we will give this place another try. Many other restaurants in the area that are better food and service.
Food was pretty decent. Appetizers came out a little at a time. But the fried rice & pad Thai took pretty long and it was just us in the restaurant. Calamari was good and batter wasn't too thick. Pork belly was a little too fatty where the fat part was hard to chew. Chicken satay could've been a little more browned but good flavor. Curry chicken & potato puffs barely had chicken in there so just expect a good curry potato puff. Pad Thai was a little on the sweeter side. Pineapple fried rice was good but all the shrimps were not cleaned properly, poop still inside.
Originally, I wanted to give 3 stars because of food and wait time. But staff is really friendly and nice. So changed to 4 stars. Thank you!
Affordable lunch set, some items I like but some to avoid.
I got the lunch set with tofu pad thai, chicken coconut soup and Thai iced tea. And I added an appetizer, curry puff original.
I would stay away from the chicken coconut soup. The chicken are very lean, dry and tough. The soup is quite coconutty with a hint of tangy from citrus. Soup is on the watery side. The soup is topped with cilantro which was not listed on the menu.
Pad Thai is well seasoned but tofu (fried tofu) is bland on its on but decent to balance out the heavy flavor noodles. Overall, this dish has nice mixed of texture with the peanut crunch.
Thai iced tea is very sweet, but was actually good to have it with the noodles. (probably not lactose free).
The curry puff has pretty soft crust, hot outside but only lukewarm inside. Decent flavor but can’t really taste the chicken or feel the meat texture. Overall on the oily side, and more soft than expect.
So full disclaimer here: I don't understand Thai food. I've never liked it at any other location ever before but I wanted to like it because of how hyped it is. I've been here over 7 times now and finally have the chance to leave a review
Thankfully Rice Pot Thai Cookhouse exists. It's fresh, savory, flavorful and everything in between
Let's start with some favorites
1) Pork Belly Basket
I'd say like 75 - 90% are cooked perfectly (tender meat, seared outside, crispy af skin). Small percent sometimes a tad overcooked but a DEFINITE MUST TRY
2) Ricepot Pad Thai
So one of my biggest challenges is enjoying a pad Thai but I feel they nail it here, the pork belly here is a great addition. Still not a fan of the more vinegary flavors but it's not offensive here
3) Fisherman's Stew/Hor Mok Talay
If you like seafood, definitely get this. The stew has a super strong seafood flavor which is great for seafood enthusiasts
4) Beef Noodle Soup
As a Taiwanese person, I'm supposed to like beef noodle soup and find that hard to do as well, to be fair haven't visited Taiwan but visited many other places to try it like 886, Ho something else, etc. This was the first place I've actually enjoyed a beef noodle soup. Soup is a little sweet and while I'm not a fan of the bitter veggies, I can stomach eating them
5) Chive Cakes (not pictured)
Deep fried with a s nice gooey inside. Had this more recently and still start getting this way more often
6) Satay Chicken (not pictured)
Ordered this for the first time for delivery last night and blown away. Chicken thighs were used it tastes like as it was super tender, seared very well, and the sauce was great
7) Blue Lemonade (not pictured)
Was great but too much ice. Aesthetic af but they need to tone down the ice so you get more drink
Water service is on point as I go through water very easily. It's great not being left with an empty cup like many other places do
Very disappointed with my last order from here. This place closes between 4pm-5pm. I made an order online between these times knowing it would get delivered after 5 which was fine. For some reason when I placed my order for Drunken Noodles with Chicken, my modifications I had made on the notes didn’t go through. I wanted no spice and no vegetables. Just to make sure of this because sometimes places don’t read the notes, I called. I left two voicemails explaining my order and my modifications. No one called me back. I tried again at 5:05 and finally got someone but to my surprise the food was on the way….WITH NO CHANGES! I asked her why no one called me back or bothered to listen to my voicemail? She said they don’t bother voicemail. But if no one was there to answer my phone call from 4-5pm then how did the food get cooked and out for delivery by 5:05?? I canceled the order and they ended up refunding my money. The food came anyway and what was even funnier, it was chicken and shrimp. Even though the one thing the order actually did reflect was chicken only. Which proves they just don’t pay attention at all. I have since found other Thai places to order from without issue.
Cute addition to the neighborhood and very reasonable prices. We got the pad thai with tofu, basil fried rice, tom yum soup, and coconut soup. Everything was good, except the coconut soup had way too much lime juice (but that's how you know it's homemade, right?) and the pad thai was made with a different noodle than the thin flat rice noodle I am used to. Overall would recommend, nice spot for casual thai, of which we don't have too many of in this area.
Very bad service not recommended, the waitress wasn’t friendly even when we pay and give tips , she didn’t even say thank u knowing we pay good tips in cash
I changed my review from 5 stars to 1 because I feel scammed. Why is pad Thai $12 for dining in but $16 for takeout? They’re like oh happy dining hour. It takes less effort to pack it for takeout than to serve it in the restaurant, so why is it more expensive? Because you want me to sit down and eat at your restaurant and order more stuff? Like I don’t get it! I’ve ordered from this place many many times, but I don’t think I’ll continue from now on.
Took my family here while it was 20 degrees outside. The restaurant had no heat inside! The humidifier at the corner indicated indoor temperature was 53 degrees! We ate with our jackets on, which was very uncomfortable. Instead of a proper heating system, they rolled out a propane powered heating device that barely generated warmth for the tiny room. Food was a good portion, but that was about it. I could count the number of bean sprouts in my pad thai. Noodle was soggy and extremely salty. Would not recommend.
Atmosphere and service gets a 4 star. But the food was not great. Shrimp with my fried rice was woefully undercooked. Same for the fried calamari.
Great foods. The staff and service at great. Will definitely come back here again
Huge variety, great good portions for a very very fast price. Waitress is always attentive.
I preferred delivery and everything came hot and neatly organized. I love Thai iced tea and it definitely hits the spots. The chicken basil is flavory and a great portion. It’s great to have a thai food place locally in the neighborhood without having to go to the city or downtown.
Green curry and pork belly basket are phenomenal
Khao Soi was really good. I liked the pork belly too.
Pad see ew is a big too salty
The service was awful. The drink I order is the way too sweet.
This was my first order and I was pleasantly surprised of how good the tofu drunken noodles were; very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Will definitely order again!
The restaurant is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. I ordered the fried cod that is lightly breaded and over a salad for takeout. It includes a side order of jasmine rice. I also tried the fried chive cake slices with a spicy dipping sauce. This was different and was my appetizer. The restaurant includes several tables and some stools for dining.
Unfortunately, I received a coupon for a future order. I repeatedly attempted to use it online on my next order as requested but was unsuccessful. I called the restaurant but they could not assist me with using the coupon. Disappointed with the outcome.
The service was awful. I went there for dinner with friends and was flatly denied service. If I could give zero stars, I certainly would. Do yourself a favor and don't go here.
Terrible service. Went there for dinner and was blatantly refused service. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.
The “spicy” drunken noodles were extremely sweet. Absolutely disgusting.
Reasonable price and portion but the food is middle tier. Glad we have a Thai food place in this neighborhood but they’re curry puff is way too sweet. Their beef noodle soup is terrible package ramen is better. However, their pad see ew and pad thai fast good and so is there thai tea.
My favorite place to get lunch when I am in the area . The lunch special is very reasonable in pricing and portion . In addition, the taste is phenomenal.
Small spqce, but great food. We went during happy hour. The prices were great, the food was delicious and hot. Ordered the calamari and chicken satay for appetizer. Calamari was tender and not overly breaded. The Chicken satay was very good. Had srucken noodles and chicken and shrimp fried rice, both delicious! Will definitely be going back!!
This is a small and simple place to dine in, although very cozy and neat. The place gets busy, we were lucky to enjoy the time right after opening. The menu with images is worth a ton of words😁. The food is extremely good and flavourful. The service is fast and welcoming. Strongly recommend to visit or order a delivery.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rice Pot, and I can confidently say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. This Thai gem exceeded all my expectations with its delightful ambiance, exceptional service, and, most importantly, its mouthwatering cuisine.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The decor is tasteful, blending traditional Thai elements with a modern twist, creating a cozy yet elegant setting.
The menu is a culinary journey through Thailand, offering a perfect balance of classic dishes and innovative creations. This is true homecooked food with a fine dining flair. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and savory flavors, and the Green Curry was rich, creamy, and packed with just the right amount of heat. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the presentation was simply beautiful.
One standout was the khao soi! This is one of my favorite dishes and truly a culinary masterpiece. I prefer the one with the chicken and the sauce is a coconut curry base that is perfectly sweet, spicy and creamy. It is accompanied with rice noodles or lo-mein noodles (my choice)
The service is always impeccable. And the owners always create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Rice Pot Thai is more than just a meal; it's an experience. Whether you're a Thai food aficionado or new to this delightful cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their incredible menu. Five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I tell you that the food is amazing. They deliver the food right on time. I love the Rice Pot Pad Thai special and the Lychee soda drink is incredible. I give this 10 out of 10!
Gave this place a try twice, but this food is just disgusting. We won't order anything here again.
Been frequenting this Thai spot for some time now. They have amazing lunch specials, and they don’t skimp on portions, which is much appreciated.
Staff is friendly and prompt and ambience is nice. Only thing that keeps me from giving it a five star rating is their spice level (or lack of it, in my opinion), which doesn’t reflect the level of spiciness I expect from Thai food.
Don’t get me wrong - their food is delicious nonetheless, but as someone who can handle only mild-medium spice normally, even when I request the spiciest level possible here, it comes out tasting only mild at most. Slightly disappointing when you’re craving real spicy Thai food sometimes. If they could match regular Thai spice levels, as expected of Thai cuisine, it would be 5/5.
Super friendly! My wife and I love the food especially the Thai ice tea!
Love their food, just excellent! I wish I could have a discount rate for their chicken coconut soup as I’m ready to buy it and eat it all day every day! Highly recommend this place for a great meals
Highly Recommend! No doubts about it! Just give it a try😉🙌🏻🫶🏼
Lady world there not friendly at all and no service ..
She is cold and I ordered drancun noodle was already made long time ago just heat up .
Noodle was too soft and cheap vegetables
We’ve always passed by this spot but never had the chance to try it out until today! We started off with the pork belly basket and it was so delicious. I loved the little sauce that it in came — it paired well with the crispy pork. We also ordered some drinks (highly recommend the passion burst and the Thai iced tea). I also loved the spices used for the chicken cashew. Highly recommend this spot to satisfy your Thai cravings 10/10!
I’ve gotten take out here a couple of times and we all enjoy the beef pad see u and the Bangkok fried rice. The tofu appetizer didn’t have much flavor and I was a bit disappointed that they no longer have the egg rolls, thus the 4 stars on food. The staff is always pleasant, so they get 5 stars for service.
OMG! Love this place! There wasn’t much people dining in, mostly take outs. But the place is lovely. Very calm atmosphere. The food was Great. Their chicken fried rice and noodles are great! The Calamari was light and crispy.
The seafood fried rice is our favorite, very flavorful. I highly recommend the Thai ice tea. The appetizer portions are big, we had the calamari and pork belly.
This is one of my go-to spots for Thai food in the area 😋. Their Thai dishes are all very yummy and flavorful. I've eaten there and gotten takeout from them many times now 👍. I usually get either their Crispy Pork Belly Pad Thai, their Drunken Noodles (w/ Extra spice), their Green Curry, Khao Soi, or their Basil Fried Rice 👌, and occasionally like to try something new each time. They have lunch specials too where you get a choice of a main dish and one appetizer for a good deal 😀. I recommend their Crispy pork belly basket, fried chive cakes, and their chicken coconut soup for appetizers 🙈. Other than that, their takeout service is quite fast too, so this is a good choice for lunch. They do close for an hour (4pm-5pm) before dinner time, so you should take that into consideration when planning to eat here 🙃.
Finished my dentist visit and got hungry. Was walking around and spotted this little gem. Luckily, I came in time for the lunch special if I’m not mistaken is from 12 pm to 4 pm. I got the drunken noodle with the chicken satay. I ordered the curry puff as an appetizer. Listen I love my noodles spicy and it was. Wish it was spicer though. The atmosphere was lively and cozy. I will so come back.
Great pad Thai. I mistakingly ordered it too spicy, and I couldn’t handle it. They offered to remake it for me even though they were 10 mins away from closing. Very nice customer service :)
No!!!! This is crazy, I hurt my mouth with a piece of glass!
I was poisoned by this food. The food tasted bad but I thought it was just poorly prepared. 😢
Got pad thai and tom yum soup for lunch take out.
Was ready quick and tasted great.
Price/portions are generous.
They've proven to be continuously delicious. Asked them to make my meal extra spicy and they did not miss! It was so good and spice was just riiight without being too overbearing
Our 1st visit to Ricepot Thai, and it definitely won't be our last. The food is authentic, and the ingredients are high quality and fresh. We sampled several appetizers and main courses and loved everything. If you love Thai food like we do you will love it here
Pad Thai was perfect
One of my favorite places to order Thai takeout in the area, they are always consistent!
Affordable lunch set, some items I like but some to avoid.
I got the lunch set with tofu pad thai, chicken coconut soup and Thai iced tea. And I added an appetizer, curry puff original.

Great Thai place. Just as good as some of the places I've had in Manhattan. My only request is to please bring back the duck Panang curry, it was delicious!
Great little place! Service is fast and polite, food is even better, drunken noodles are some of the best!
Really great pad Thai! Always taste fresh, great flavor and good service overall!
Tom Yum soup is super .. I expect Pad Thai to be a very fair taste but it wasn’t. Out of my expectations but the ambiance was very nice.
Super cute small place. In addition, food is tasty.
Went there for lunch, was so hungry and forgot to take pics of our food. Food came out fast, and the staff was friendly. The place was clean and neat. Ordered Tom yum soup, drunken noodles and Papaya salad, all were so good and good portion size. Bought take out of the classic padthai, no so good to be honest. So many choices of food, will definitely going back to try other stuff.
The food we ordered Pad Thai is extremely salty. The person who cooked it seems not to know what salt is

This place is legit, you want authentic
Thai - come here!
Anything you get will be a banger. Personal favs are the papaya salad, chicken wings and pad thai (get it extra spicy).
Very clean, food was delicious- flavor was AMAZING 👏🏾. We came 30mins before they closed, cashier said we can order to go, then someone came from back and said we could stay no rush - very friendly felt welcomed.. They gave us Thai tea to go for free.
Everything was yummy.
Thanks you
the best thai food i’ve ever had. try their chicken curry, you won’t be disappointed.
Such a great place! Three of us ordered different meals and they were all great. The appetizers & drinks were great too. Service was fast but at the same time without any pressure on us.
It did take a little while to get a table but I can't hold their popularity against them. I'd definitely come back
Server is very friendly and accommodating. Food is very delicious and flavorful.
Solid Thai with good lunch specials. $12 includes app and entree. Add a Thai iced tea for $3. Food is ready quick. Also has a sit down area.
really good food.
Delicious, fresh Chicken Satay and chicken PadThai. Reasonable price, wonderful, attentive service. Near B1 bus nd D train. Can't be beat for a quick meal. Recommended!
Stay away! Overpriced and the quality is subpar. Waste your money elsewhere
Great Thai food! I ordered a bunch of food for delivery and everything came hot and super fresh.
Everything tasted authentic and the portion sizes were generous. One of the standout deals was 10 chicken satay skewers for just $12.75! Some of the other dishes I got were the "Ricepot Fried Rice," the Spicy Thai Basil, curry puffs, and the Hat Yai Chicken. Oh, and the Thai iced tea. Everything was delicious!
Prices were great too. I would definitely order from here again, and I'll stop by in person the next time I am in the area.
One of the few Thai places (or any place really) that actually has clean shrimp whether they’re very tiny or the big ones. Delicious every time. Try a spicy coconut soup with shrimp! Very good.
Honestly every item from their menu is great so highly recommend trying everything once to find your favorite!
I purchased chicken with cashews and pineapple for delivery. The chicken was cooked so hard until I could barely chew it, which means that I wasted my money! I was picking out what I was able to eat. I got a refund from door dash, but I should have received all of my money back from the restaurant.
This place has is sooo good! Very flavorful and authentic. They have all the staples thai dishes.
Absolutely delicious! Tried chicken green curry, tom yum soup, tofu and veggies, crispy tofu, ricepot pad thai, drunken noodles, and a bunch of other stuff — all very very good. Hits the spot ☺️ delivery was quick, food arrived hot, and the curry that I asked to be “very spicy” was indeed very spicy. 10/10
Why chicken satay no hot
Delicious food. Really enjoyed their bankok fried rice and Khao Soi. Very clean and nice inside
Very delicious food! Best thai food I have had in a while. Their pad thai, spring rolls, green curry (order extra rice with it), and Thai iced tea were all excellent.
This place is divine. Easily my favorite local eatery and the place I bring my friends who don't know what they want to eat. Better Pad Thai than Thailand, great service, really can't sing the praises of Ricepot enough
Definitely friendly staff here. The food is really good if you're into Thai dishes, don't feel shy to ask the waitress if you have any questions.
I love this place!! Their Thai tea is amazing, one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Their lunch special deals are very worth it.
Favorite neighborhood restaurant
Excellent!
The venue is very inviting and the staff welcoming.
The descriptions in the menu is very clear.
The food is great.
The first thing we try out when going to a new Thai restaurant is their Pad Thai.... sort of like a barometer regarding the quality.
Their Pad Thai passed with flying colors.
Impressive.
This is a definite must come back place.
Highly recommend.
Curries were very good - especially massaman. The cut of beef they used was fantastic - thick and rich. Very large portions, my wife and I could have split one curry!
After living in Thailand and coming back to Brooklyn, this place really hits the nail on the head for authentic tasting Thai food. The interior is very well kept and clean. The owner is Thai and she’s a very lovely host. I recommend the massaman curry and the khao soi, tastes just like you would get in Chaing Mai.
The best Thai food in New York! Can’t go wrong with any of the dishes they’re all amazing but must tries are Massaman curry, Tom yum soup, pad see ew/pad Thai, fried chicken and khao soi. Friendly and attentive staff, clean and cozy atmosphere and delicious food!!
Great food , very slow Uber service.
Something different. The food is not as great as I had expected. Tom yum was too sweet for my taste. Everything was on the salty side.
Food was bussin, simple as. Curry puffs excellent.
ordered a drunken noodles and thai iced tea but both orders were either heavily over- salted or sweetened.
Wow. Blew me nd my girlfriend away.
From Appetizer pork belly basket to the drinks , and wok flamed entree. 10/10
Cripsy crunchy pork belly w dipping sauce thats tangy but spicy and made us crave a bowl of rice.
Drinks lychee soda and blue lemonade was refreshing but sweet.
spicy seafood fried rice was fresh on the ingredients and perfectly flavored. Pad se ew i asked for spicy and it was perfect. Their tom yum soup has big shrimps inside nd the soup is just tang enough to keep having more. I think you can order pad se ew w shrimp bc it wasnt on the menu option.
Cant wait to go back.
So this review incapsulates two different dinner experiences. Let me start off by emphasizing just how friendly, sweet, and kind the staff are; they accommodated our request and even remedied any mishaps that occurred with our meal (I.e. papaya salad being too spicy for us to enjoy fully). So imma break down below our overall dining experience and the various appetizer and entrees that we had the opportunity to try:
Appetizers:
Chive cakes - second and third time ordering this and it is still addicting as hell! Just like my first experience, it was crunchy on the outside and mushy on the inside, a perfect and unique balance of texture and flavors!
Papaya salad - very refreshing and interesting texture between the crunchiness of the peanuts and the crispness of the papaya strips! The spicy version was incredibly spicy but that was probably an accident on their end when they sprinkled too much Thai chili powder on it. The non spicy version was tangy, crunchy and help cleanse our taste for the main entrees.
Drinks:
Thai iced tea - very creamy and sweet with a strong tea flavor that's perfect for Thai ice tea lovers. It is definitely on the sweeter end so I recommend adding some milk to it if you bring your Thai ice tea home!
Entrees:
Crying Tiger - perfectly cooked to medium rare, just like we wanted. The sauce that accompanied the steak was deliciously spicy/tangy as well! However, I wasn't too much of a big fan of the strip cut, for I found it a bit too rough, but that's just my personal preference, so if you like strips then this will definitely satisfy your cravings! If I had any recommendations, I would recommend using a fattier cut or using ribeyes instead (or maybe as a new menu item!), for I think fattier cuts will be richer and be perfect with rice and the sauce that it comes with! Just a thought! :p
Pad see ew (chicken and seafood) - both version of the pad see ew was delicious, for the flavors were definitely intense! The sweet and saltiness of the dish makes it deliciously memorable. However, some might find it just a tad too sweet. The sweetness definitely overpowers the saltiness, but it is still delicious in my opinion! Adding some hot sauce or their chili powder helps reduce the sweetness a bit and adds a kick to it! Highly recommend trying this!
Chicken cashew - fried pieces of chicken with a sweet Thai glaze over it, which was good but a bit too salty for us (definitely pairs well with rice though). It was definitely worth the try and reminded us of Chinese sweet and sour chicken from Cantonese restaurants (not the purely fried ones from Chinese takeouts :p).
Thai Fisherman stew - a flavorful pot of mixed seafood with a stew that tastes delicious with rice. It reminds us of soondubu (Korean tofu stew) because it comes with a similar small pot with similar portions. It was good overall and we liked it!
Bangkok fried rice - wow, this was a show stealer! You can definitely taste the Wok Hay (Cantonese term for fire-infused cooking on a wok that brings out the smoky flavor of the fried rice)! It smells deliciously fragrant and the seasoning was just perfect! We got the beef version and it was phenomenal! Just a tip, if you order pad see ew as well, eat the fried rice first because the intense flavors of the pad see ew will definitely blanket the taste of the fried rice since the fried rice is on the milder side. Highly recommend trying this!
My total 3 experiences dining here have been phenomenal and I can't wait to come back to try their many other items! A very comfortable and warm place to have a romantic dinner date or a simple heartfelt dinner to warm your tummy!
I hope this helps and thank you for reading (:
Great food, really enjoyed it.
Totally family owned and run. The young lady in front is very pleasant and the Pad Thai was delicious. Best Thai food in this neighborhood.
We really like this place. Great customer service and such good food. Better than the park slope joint we used to go to, but much smaller inside. Portions can be bigger, but the coconut chicken soup and veggie rolls are great appetizers to pick from on their lunch menu. Definitely order their Thai iced tea. Best we’ve tried anywhere. Would recommend them 💯
I have been eyeing on this restaurant since it opened and finally decided to give it a try. I came here during the lunch time for their lunch menu and we ordered: Green Curry w Chicken over rice with spring rolls, and Pad See Ew w/ tofu with chicken wings, and an order of Curry Puffs. First of all, the curry puffs and spring roll were so good. I loved the puffs were so soft and not too heavy or hard to chew, while the spring rolls were similar to the Chinese ones but better. The chicken wing was nice, I liked that they didn’t use that much oil. I felt kind of clean after eating it too. The entrees were good and had a lot of veggies. Though for the Pad See Ew, i think they might’ve put too much sauce and ended up making it salty. Otherwise, they were still very delicious and got us full.
The food portion is a little small given for the price, but the lunch menu is definitely worth it and I’d recommend to try. The appetizer were small too but that just means there’s more time to savor the food. I would definitely come here again, but for someone who has a bigger appetite and comes during a non-lunch hour, I’d prob give it some consideration
The thai spicy seafood fried rice was really good. It was just spicy enough for me and the pink lychee soda was also really good.
Pretty tasty!
Fresh delicious food. Friendly service and very clean.
Ordered takeout here a few times and the food was delicious. A bit mood expensive then the other restaurants nearby but the authentic taste of Thai food for the area is worth it.
So far we have went there twice and it just keeps getting better. The first time we went I ordered their "Beef Noodle Soup" and let me just say it brought back so many memories of a previous Thai place we went to years ago in Manhattan. The beef broth is delicate and flavorful. The beef is extremely tender as well. They also put two types of beef in the soup for a diversity in flavor. A small serving of hot sauce is given on the side so you have complete control of spice of the dish. They portion size is exceptionally generous and unless a person has been fasting all day it can be a challenge to eat all of it. The soup also remains very hot as you are eating it so you don't have to worry about it going cold and not rush yourself into eating it faster.
The chives cakes are an wonderful appetizer. They come out a respectable time before the main dish, in this case soup, is presented. A word of caution is recommended when eating these as they are especially hot. Taking one and splitting it in half is recommended to let it cool off as I have gotten my mouth burned as a result of my disregard for the temperature of these cakes. However, in terms of flavorful, the chive cakes offer a unique combination of being crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside.
The second time we visited this place was a week later. I had decided to order the "Kao Soi" (attached image) The description that the menu provided was enticing. The mention of "tender chicken" was intriguing which prompted me to order it. When the dish was brought out, I had a strong sense of feeling that I would be throughly enjoying it before even tasting it, in which I was correct. The previously mentioned "tender chicken" is the star of this dish. It quite literally melts in your mouth. In addition to the peices of tender chicken within the bowl, an entire chicken drumstick is also given. This allows for the person eating to interact more with the dish as you peel of peices of chicken off the drumstick. The tremendously creamy curry broth is completely balanced as it allows for other components of the dish to thrive while providing it individual character. The vegetables provide and essential crunch to the dish as all the other elements as soft in nature. In addition, the raw red onion provides a bold flavor that improves the experience. The noodles take up a large amount of volume inside the bowl. They are remarkable in their ability to be coated in that spectacular curry broth.
The food is priced at an acceptable amount as the quality of this food is outstanding. I can't wait to try out more of their wonderful menu items that I'm sure are equally as good.
P.S.
I hope they have the pork belly basket next time I visit as they were out last time.
I'm confused by all the positive reviews I've seen for this restaurant. Maybe I ordered on an off day, who knows, but I don't think I'm going to be in a hurry to buy my next meal from here any time soon, considering how stiff competitive for Thai food is in this area.
I ordered several dishes from here as part of a birthday dinner feast, and this place had great reviews, so I was eagerly looking forward to trying the food. The food was delivered promptly, and they were all still hot, to the point that I slightly burned my fingers unpacking the food cartons from their delivery bags. Portions were a bit small, considering the price. Here's what I tried:
Pineapple Fried Rice: A go-to order from any Thai restaurant, even though it's not an exclusive Thai cuisine dish. There was no pineapple that I could tell. The rice was white as snow and tasted like bland rice white with some small shrimp mixed in. I can make better fried rice than this. 2/5
Curry Puffs: Yet another favorite from Thai restaurants. This came in a set of 3 giant puffs, and while impressive-looking, was much blander than any other curry puffs I've even tasted. I could barely taste any curry at all. I did like the sweet chili sauce that came with the puffs. 2.5/5
Ricepot Pad Thai: One of the weirdest-tasting pad thai I've ever tasted. It tasted like extremely salty fish oil stir-fried noodles. Bizzare. Almost inedible. Pork belly was very tough to chew and not tender. 1/5
Drunken Noodles: The best dish out of these, which is not saying much. It could have been spicier and more flavorful, but only this dish was truly reminiscent of Thai cuisine out of the bunch. 3.5/5
Hat Yat Chicken: A bit like General Tso's Chicken, except with more sweet chili flavor and with drumsticks and chicken breasts, instead of boneless pieces of chicken meat. We agreed that Popeyes chicken has more tender meat than this. The flavor was alright, but the meat quality was disappointing. 2.5/5
Thai Iced Tea: I've never had such odd-tasting Thai iced tea before. It tastes strongly of condensed milk than of Thai tea leaves. The sweet, earthy aroma in this drink is lost, muddled by the overpowering taste of the condensed milk. The balance is noticeably off, like what often happens when I try to make my own Thai iced tea. 2.5/5
Pink Lychee Soda: I did like this drink more than the Thai iced tea, because I've never had this before. It tastes more of Sprite soda than of lychee, but it was refreshing and helped me to cool down from the heat. 4/5
Nearly everything I had ordered from this restaurant had issues with the flavor and honestly, I'm not impressed. There's a plethora of Thai restaurants around, and this is not worthy enough of getting a place in the regular dinner options for us. Plus, the food is pricey and the portions are small, which might work out, since that means less bland and bad leftovers for later, but that's not good for the wallet at all.
Thank you!
Great food great service! Their chicken skewers are amazing!
We came here for the first time today, the quality of food was great and the portion sizes were very decent, so we could even take something home. The service was quick and friendly. If I had one improvement suggestion, the green curry was very good, but it felt like it’s missing something, perhaps lemon grass. This is just a matter of personal taste though.
They have delicious Pad Thai and appetizers. The staff are very nice and polite. I’m definitely eating from here again
Amazing Thai place! Porkbelly pad thai was great, tom yum soup, pad see ew, and duck curry were all phenomenal as well. Great staff, beautiful lighting, aesthetic decorations, and great music, no complaints! Will definitely come back!
AMAZING
Best Thai restaurant in Brooklyn, if not the city. Do yourself a favor and get the pork belly basket, it's well worth the money.
Food here is amazing. Use to go to elmhurst to get thai food with friends but this has so far been the best spot. The menu is clean and simple with only a page full of selections but from the appetizers to the main entree every item is focused on meticulously. The thai ice coffee is flavorful as well as the noodles with pork belly and chicken shabobs; just writing this review makes me want to go back and eat more.
The food is also very filling as I left feeling satisfied for the rest of the day which is rare for me since I tend eat a lot. Highly recommend going here if you want some of the highest quality thai food because I know I will.
Nice place !
Nice staff!
I got glass of water immediately when sited for table . Tasty food .
Placed ordered and was late. Called the restaurant and never picked up. Don’t know where is my food.
food & services ok but end up give us wrong change. anyway happy have Thai restaurant in Bensonhurst
I'm not sure if the reviews I see online are real. But we visited this place 2 weeks ago and the food was so salty, definitely not good. The service was also very poor. There was 6 of us and we ordered 6 entress. They brought out the entrees 1 by 1 with about 10 min wait in between each entree. We basically didn't even eat together, we watched each other eat. The waitress never checked on us or gave us updates. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Very good
The food was awesome 😎. I have to say. The customer service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this spot. Great 😃 place to take a date. Prices are moderate. I had the lunch special. Premises about 24- 30 capacity. Close to the D train parking 🅿️ is horrible on weekends, during the week you might get a spot. MTA is always going your way.
Sat in for lunch, food was Fresh and really good.
My husband and I stopped by the other day to try for the first time. Didn’t keep our hopes up though, but the food and service went beyond expectations. We ordered a Hat Yai chicken with sticky rice,a Som Tum, a Thai milktea, a Thai coffee and the lunch special with Pad Thai and chicken skewers. I would say the lunch special was well-portioned for the price ($12), you get an entree and an appetizer/soup. Hat Yai chicken is huge and the sauce was sooo good! The coffee is thick and tasty, we love it. Service was 10/10, waitress was very kind and understanding. And I love that they close for an hour to take a break. I would definitely come back, Bensonhurst definitely needs a Thai place like this! ❤️
Nice lunch
Very clean restaurant and nice staff
Thank you for delicious dinner 👏🏻
Amazing Thai place, perhaps the best Pad Thai I've had in nyc by far.
Their specialty Pad Thai named after the restaurant is a Pad Thai that comes with fried pork belly. The fried pork belly is amazing.
They also sell the traditional Thai ice tea which is pretty good. The lychee soda is very good.
Their Khao Soi is okay, I prefer the Pad Thai.
The wings are okay as well not recommended.
Their Thai iced tea is the bomb! The food was good but not to my expectations. The slow cooked pork leg dish was dry and didnt have or taste of the five spices as it should. Tom yum noodle soup was not bad, I prefer a little bit stronger flavor. Definitely would go back and try other dishes.
pot thai is too salty to me (own opinion) the lychee drink and spring roll is gorgeous!I wish we can choose light seasoning next time
First time in this place. Very good experience, would most definitely go back and can't wait to try more dishes
I'm addicted to here. I eat here at least once a week...and the prices are good!
Ricepot Pad Thai DELICOUS!
Ordered takeout 3x already and enjoyed everything every time. So far I had Tom Yum soup, pad thai with pork, chives pancake, and green curry. Every item was 10/10, no complaints. The greeny curry was 11/10 - tasted just like the green curry I had in Samui, Thailand. It was earthy, herbally, sweet, and had enough kick to it. The chunks of eggplant was a nice surprise. I had some leftovers which tasted just as good when I reheated it haha.
I hope this place sticks around for a while - or until I have tried every item on their menu haha.
