Chinese staples are joined by Japanese hibachi dishes & Thai items at this dine-in & takeout place.
Great food.
We typically call ahead or order online and pick it up. Food has ALWAYS been ready on time; this is important to me, not wasting anyone's time.
It's hard to call this standard Chinese take out since it is much tastier, has a better menu and a bit more love put into the dishes. I'd call it elevated, not quite traditional or authentic like the Asian dishes my family makes at home, but definitely a different level than standard takeout.
People are super friendly, service is great.
Keep up the great work. I'll be back many times in the future.
Both of the meals I got from this restaurant have been to go and were past a typical lunch time... around 2 or 3 pm. That could be my mistake, but after getting two different dishes, I don't think I will be returning. The first dish was chicken lo mein, and it was really not good at all. It was hot. It was fresh. But the flavor was really not good. I've had lo mein literally all over the USA and in Korea and Japan. This ranked in the lowest 20%. The next time I went, which was a few weeks later, was to get pad thai chicken to go. Again, it was hot... it was fresh... but the flavor was not good at all. It's more like absent. Pad Thai noodles typically have a sauce with peanut in it... some kind of consistency This was a clear, broth-like liquid with some ground up peanuts thrown in as an afterthought. It was probably the worst pad thai I've ever had. I could taste chicken, the noodles themselves, and that's about it. To finish it, I thought of something other than pad thai while I ate it.
Its totally possible I picked the two dishes that are not their best. I don't know. But, I won't be returning. I hope it was just two bad days for them and that their norm is much better.
Dined here with a group of 20 during a field trip & was pleasantly surprised. At my end of the table, the wait-staff helped coach the kids. They toned down the spice levels to be accommodating to the young palates. I would have appreciated the spice, personally. Appetizers came out quickly, some kids were waiting on their entrees for a bit, yet pretty much all seemed to enjoy what they received.. one child had 3 servings of wonton soup! There were Thai, Chinese and Japanese options and the lunch specials were filling. My child & I tried the tempora shrimp (perfect), Tom Yum soup (good), chicken coconut soup (very coconutty), orange chicken (very good) & the thai chicken with basil & chiles (one of my favorites). Next time I'll ask for extra chile sauce on the side, cuz I like spicy Thai!
The food was good, less oily than most chinese food places I am used to. The attention left a little bit to desired, there was only one waitress and she seemed overwhelmed, english wasn’t her first language so that definitely made it harder for her. Overall happy with the vegetarian options, just wished that the menu was better explained, there are names of plates that I didn’t understand what they were, and because of the language barrier it’s hard to know what are options you could order.
Came early on a Friday- 5 pm place was empty which was great- we were starving! Our waitress spoke very little English- struggled with my order all together including the Michelob Ultra - had to literally show her the menu item- then she stared at it for a good minute- eventually had to take the menu with her to the kitchen. Oh and i had to walk over to the cooler to show her and another employee where the beer was- haha.
Daughter ordered wonton soup but could not finish it. She said it did not taste good. Our appetizer was lettuce wraps, and they were good. Out main dishes were the sesame chicken - daughter, who is a chef gives it a 5/10, I had a combo #15 half General Sao chicken and shrimp in a white sauce, I would also give it a 5/10. We live 35 min from restaurant and wont go out of our way to dine here again. To end on a positive the staff was super friendly so that was nice.
Not good. The food tastes like it was made days ago and they just warm it up once you order it. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it came out in less than 5 minutes. No way was that freshly made. Service and atmosphere was ok....
It's absolutely horrible. The food was so bland that I took mine home and added some flavor to the chicken with vegetables and the egg foo yung. The tea was so strong that it tasted like coffee. The staff was somewhat polite, but that's about it. I definitely will not be back.
I love the Chinese traditional dish, just as good as what I expected, very authentic.
I always get their Singapore noodles they are so good!!!
Great food
Good menu
Friendly staff

We can not say enough about this restaurant. The food was hot and scrumps dilly delicious. We just love the whole experience.
Food was not to my liking.
Great food and staff!

While both the food and menu prices were outstanding, the server was beyond incredible, sweet, and kind!
What a wonderful staff. The server went way above and beyond to be good to my group.💖
Not good. The food tastes like it was made days ago and they just warm it up once you order it. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it came out in less than 5 minutes. No way was that freshly made. Service and atmosphere was ok....
In my 2 years in the US I have never eaten Chinese food so bland and tasteless. Lomein tasted like old pasta, sweet and sour chicken was sweet and tasteless. Beef was comparativley ok but seriously lacked in terms of flavor. Not going back there again.
Not very clean
It's absolutely horrible. The food was so bland that I took mine home and added some flavor to the chicken with vegetables and the egg foo yung. The tea was so strong that it tasted like coffee. The staff was somewhat polite, but that's about it. I definitely will not be back.
Highly recommend!
Delicious food
I got sick as a dog after eating the chime. Fried rice. Food poisoning is no fun
This is our “go to” Chinese delivery place. The food is delicious and the service is fast.
Food was good, prices are very friendly
Good food, this place is always clean when u go. Sometimes I get a server that is a little "dry" but at least he's attentive to what we need. I like the orange chicken you can actually taste the orangy flavor and sesame chicken is also delcious . I also like that have smaller lunch portions available.
Decent food and service, nicely decorated. I might consider coming back it it weren't for the loud country music. Made me feel like we were in a low-rent country n western bar, vs. an Asian restaurant.
Religious music is not a part of Asian dining. Distracting. Weird.
Seafood Clay Hot Pot! Egg Foo Young! are fantastic!
Extremely bad customer service. I walked in to pick up a to-go order and the man was pointing at me like I was a dog or something.
Good food, good price!
Great service, receptionist didn't seem happy to be ther
They don't have egg rolls
I order take out here on a semi regular basis. Always, fast, hot, authentic and delicious. For the same price as a combo meal at any of the strip mall corporate, fast food joints, you can get a meal here large enough for 2 people!
Standard Chinese food
Great Food
Normally pretty good. But we ordered food at 7 and it's been 80 minutes and still no food.
When I first arrived at this restaurant, Sarah the hostess was very rude and yelled at me. The food is horrible, everything is horrible about this place
We dine here a lot after church. Plenty of choices on the menu. Food is always good, served hot, in a reasonable amount of time. Service is friendly in a quiet atmosphere.

Ordered takeout and food had no flavor at all. They also didn't add utensils which is extremely annoying when you don't plan on eating it at home. Last time I order from here.
This is our FAVORITE local Chinese restaurant. They have a variety of other Asian cuisines here, but we come for the orange chicken. I’m a fan of orange chicken in general, but Mei Wei’s is THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. It’s incredible. Everything else we’ve had as also been a hit too, but the orange chicken just stands out. This is the perfect hole-in-the-wall local asian restaurant that I take all of my out of towners. No frills, good service, GREAT food.
They want to argue with the customer, My order was wrong
Ordered takeout and everything lacked flavor. Had to douse my lo mein in soy sauce to eat it, which I’ve never done. Won’t go back.
I ordered the Hot & Spicy Beef and it was not hot or spicy! The food was Luke warm and I had a shocking surprise when I bit into cold broccoli from my plate. Gross, are you kidding me? Why? Also the pan fried dumplings were rushed. The side not fried in the pan was raw and soggy! The best tasting item was the fried cheese wontons. Not likely to return.
This place is the bomb. Best Chinese food in town. There is nothing else to be said
Great place. Always order food from this place and it's delicious.
The food was good, less oily than most chinese food places I am used to. I’ve been ordering delivery from them for 4 years. Good food.
Very good!
Very comfortable, clean with a chill vibe inside for lunch. Priced very well and all the staff were nice!
Ive never eaten in the restaurant but have ordered from them several times and the food is amazing. I reccomend the singapore Noodles, great flavor
I have ordered from here several times. The food is excellent. Vegetable or meat fried rice perfect amount of oil and soy sauce. Buddha's Delight very good. Hot & Sour soup is awesome! Staff is friendly and professional.
Excellent Sunday buffet but you better make reservations!!
I ordered the fried cheese wantons, sweet and sour chicken, wanton soup, and fried rice and ALL of them were delicious. It was good price for the food and I kept getting amazed on how good the food it. 10000/10 recommend definitely should try this atleast once in your life.
I went there for orange chicken, and that's exactly what I got. Fried boneless chunks of chicken swimming in sugary syrup, with bits of broccoli and such. Side of rice. Was it good? Absolutely. It's fried boneless chunks of chicken swimming in sugary syrup, with bits of broccoli and such. With a side of rice. Probably nothing Chinese about it, but who cares?? It's fried boneless chunks of chicken swimming in sugary syrup, with bits of broccoli and such. And rice! Go get you some.
Awesome place perfect waiter and food is always top notch
Couldn't get service manager was outside having a conversation with someone at their car in the parking lot. Horrible customer service.
Very disappointing-beef lomein had no flavor and was dry, moo sho pork was terrible. Waste of $50 dollars.
I only tried this place one time and it was okay. It was definitely fast and hot, but drowning in sauce. I can't say it was the best, but I can't say it was the worst. I might give it another try in the future because the prices weren't unreasonable for lunch.
Dinner was excellent.
- Orange chicken, Mongolian, beef, crispy, chicken, Springfield, cashew style, potstickers, fried spring rolls, cheese off our stars yes, wonton.
Very friendly staff and excellent service.
I am first time at Mei Wei. Food was excellent service was excellent will be back.
In the many past experiences, food was good! NOT the case with last two orders!! Sloppy and greasy! I’m not sure what the reason is. Maybe new ownership?
Can not honestly give this a high rating. I ordered over phone and picked it up as we stayed near this location . Food was ready when we arrived but I was let down with the flavors. Should I try them again I would ask for food to actually be more authentic to their name and flavors. Counter person was okay.
The food was really good but service was TERRIBLE. It took someone 10 minutes to greet us. I saw that they only had 1 server so I understand that he had other table but he paid no attention to us and was very rude and rushed with us. He greeted the bigger party next to us immediately after they sat down and was very friendly with them. He got mad when we asked questions about the menu and called the child I was with a boy after I repeatedly told him she was a girl. He then slammed our food down and walked away and we didn’t see him until 30 minutes later to give us the check. The food was very good. But I would recommend take out
Their service is usually good, the options are vast and tasty, and it’s the only Chinese food restaurant that doesn’t make us sick afterward.
Absolutely horrible. Walked in the restaurant and instead of being greeted, I stood there and waited for one of the three people to acknowledge me. After what seemed a minute of silence, I was asked table or booth. I said booth please. Sat down and tried to order a sweet tea. They didn't have it. No problem. I got regular. I then asked for the shrimp spring rolls. The waiter assumed I didn't know what the were. Ordered them and got a spoonful of what the claimed was peanut sauce. It was terrible. Then I ordered Tom yum soup. I couldn't even eat it. It was literally a cup of broth with onions and 3 shimp. I asked for the check and left. Terrible food and will never eat there again.
I recently got for a family of 4 from here. To save $30 in delivery fees I made the 45 minute round trip to pick it up myself. When i got home after all that and was ready to eat, i found out that they hadnt put my order in the bag... the receipt stapled to the bag clearly showed it ordered and charged for but i didnt have the food! I wasnt about to spend another 45 minutes on the road at dinner time so I stole food from my wife and kids to make my plate happen. Their food is good but its worth unpacking their sealed bag to double check the order.
Your food was always the best. We moved to Huntsville a year ago, and there is NO decent Chinese food over here. Please open a restaurant over here you would get alot of customers.
The best authentic Asian food in Magnolia/Woodlands area.
Went with two friends and everything was great! Portions were large and food was really good quality.
We went last week and my friend who got the house lo mein is still talking about how good it was lol
Pffff
Great food with flavor. Great service. Good atmosphere and clean restrooms. Will certainly eat there again. Waitress very efficient and friendly.
Best Chinese food in the area! Recommend their pan fried pot stickers and fried rice. Very fresh
Ordered some food to go September 2nd 2022 The fried mixed rice was like 2 days old
Great food!
The food was tasty and prepared as requested for take out. Unfortunately the portions were a bit small for the prices charged. I’d try them again.
Wonderful service and great food! AJ was really friendly and his service was top notch! Meal prices are affordable and you get a lot of food that tastes great! I highly recommend.
The curry chicken is amazing!!
The food was NOT good. My pan fried dumplings were slimy and flavorless. The sauce that came with the dumplings tasted strange. Not like all the other dumpling sauces I have tried. I will never go back.
Fire all your employees, they are not helping you at all.
The food is good the people nasty
Finally, I found a decent Chinese restaurant.
They close too early. Should stay open until 10. Would get more late night hungry sales.
My husband went in to order some wonton soup to go. I love wonton soup when I’m not feeling well, I’ve been fighting cancer and other health complications from my treatments. He waited 10 mins to be helped watching a girl with purple hair making silverware packages. As he waited, he looked around and saw nobody there. I am a picky eater so he asked for a large soup with just broth, wontons and shrimp. He said the girl finally took his order and was very rude and impatient with the picky order. She charged a lot of extra money for the extra shrimp which is fine but when I started eating the soup, I noticed the shrimp were not deveined completely. Just a bad experience overall.
Always a pleasure.
Good lunch menu. Cashew chicken is good
Very good
Walked in to have lunch and joked with girl with the purple hair talk about sense of humor. None what so ever. Told me that she was busy and don't have time for jokes. There was only 2 customers in the restaurant. Guess the girl with the purple hair doesn't know anything about customer service. Will never order from this place again. Ended up at sapporo restaurant across the street. Atmosphere is so welcoming.
We love this place!! Thanks so much for always delicious delivery!!
Over salted, bland food. Shrimp were good size and not over done!
mei wei is an amazing restaurant. i go there at least 2 times a week. the food is delicious and has perfect flavor. i would 10/10 recommend the orange chicken! i get it almost every time.
I have never had an issue with this place, in fact always recommended it to my family and friends. Yesterday I ordered for delivery my usual and favorite dish Curry Chicken. It tasted a little off but said to myself maybe it’s a new ingredient and took a few more. I couldn’t finish it. Not even 30 minutes later, TW: I started throwing up & more. Needless to say I now have food poisoning 😔
Clean, quick to seat. Understaffed, but who isn't these days. Patience paid off with full plates of good food. Mix of asian and this. Pot stickers were good. Lots of food for the money. Clean place. Wish we could see it full and see how they do then. Two tables used, probably 10 go orders while we were there.
The plastic plates and utensils are cheap, but it probably helps against Covid and higher prices.
We got the special with spicy steak and spicy chicken, Lo mein, crab puffs, and donuts. The crab puffs were made with deviled crabmeat, which should be better than the standard cream cheese. My friend loved them, but I only ate one. We otherwise shared everything and loved it going in. We even had some to go. Within hours of leaving, we both had vile diarrhea that lasted into the next day. They need better quality food management.
Update....... Manger/owner it wasn't busy. It was around 3:30 pm when I was in there. The one at the checkout counter was on her phone. You might need to clean house and get professional in there. It was clean. But the service was bad. And the put our food on a small plate had no room to mix it up if you did it fell off the small plate. No go back
There are too many items on the menu for the execution to be constant and reliable. I ordered a Tom yum soup, no notes of lemon grass. It tasted like sugar and fish sauce. Ordered a beef panang curry, cannot taste coconut or panang leaves anywhere. It is extra spicy, as ordered, but still disapointing.
I was very happy with this place until now reopened dine in and there was a bug in my won tong soup little waitress answer was sometimes outside gets in really then you eat it .
I had just moved to the area and wanted to give this place a try. At the time they wouldn’t allow customers inside so I ordered in my car while parked out front and gave my card info by phone, I got my food and shortly after I made it home I got a suspicious activity alert from my bank regarding a $700 charge attempt on the same card I had used to pay for the food…. I am writing this review in lieu of a more drastic reaction. As for anyone who chooses to eat here I’d advise you pay in cash..
Good food, friendly employees. Will be back.
I ordered the general tsos chicken and fried rice and it was so good! I'm definitely coming back again for the delicious food!!! 10/10 😊
ASIAN LIVES MATTER
Found the food to be very salty.
Love it really good food, should try!!
My husband and I ordered from here for the first time tonight after reading some good reviews. We were hopeful that this would be our new go to delivery place, but unfortunately this was not the case. I ordered a tofu dish and instead received chicken, which was fine- I decided to still go ahead and eat the dish. The chicken, vegetables, and sauce were truly inedible. My husband ordered the beef and broccoli which was slightly better, but still pretty terrible. The egg rolls were about average. Definitely a first and last for us sadly.
We have tried this place 2ce now. Rice is good. Hibachi is definitely not. The traditional Chinese we ordered was sub par.
Ordered beef pad Thai. Noodles were dry, there were salty patches of bites. No lime. Just a dry taste. I ate maybe 1/4 of the order and had to throw the rest away.
Good food, fair price
Good food but they won't let you come in and eat....Lol if I have to eat in my car, I may as well go to McDonald's
For still having the dine in closed
Best Chinese food in the area! I drive 20 minutes for take out. The rice is always cooked all the way and the chicken is delicious. Take out process is easy and quick. I like paying over the phone and they promptly bring your food to your car.
Good service and prices. The food is just ok. There is nothing special or unique. Tastes like you could have got it anywhere. Generic.
Food is great but only get 3 star because dinning room is closed
I've been getting takeout here for years always good.
Hot, fresh and delicious. Friendly staff
Freaking amazing
Almost didn’t order because of 3.5 stars... but man glad we did! It was delicious!!!
Really good food Ilike shrimp with rice is good or combination 😋
Horrible food. Ordered delivery tonight. Not good at all. Horrible tasting Chinese food. I don't recommend their food.
En comida China este lugar es uno de los que tiene buen sabor y la calidad de la verdadera comida Oriental.
I’ve been here few times, food is really good! The people here are friendly, they gave me excellent service! One time, I had a special demand, I thought they probably couldn’t do it for me, but they did it! This restaurant is my favorite Chinese restaurant right now! Recommend!
I love there food ,lunch menu is very inexpensive too. Its a must try best bang for the buck in town .
Many bad experiences here:
#1 the manager/owner is very aggressive and will try to hit you if you complain or demand a refund for food they mess up multiple times
#2 poor tasting food and when you ask for something else they hang up on you
#3 found a staple inside my food, at the bottom of my togo container.
#4 just horrible customer service all around
We have officially sworn off Mei Wei.. you've been warned!!
Great food not sure why they dont have dine in.
Food is usually good. This last order we placed online, and an hour and a half later, we still had not received the order. Called after an hour had passed, and was told the driver was on the way. We live next to the shopping strip and would have expected our order shortly after that call. 30 minutes later, we still had not received our food. Called the restaurant back and said we should have our food in five minutes. 10 minutes later, still nothing. If you are wanting delivery, choose a more reliable restaurant given the food isn't spectacular over any other restaurant.
The best Chinese food in Houston area.
Great food & service
Good service. Good price. Good food.
Food is really good quick service
OK food, terrible service.
Amazing food and great service. Unlike any other Chinese place I’ve ever been to. I had the Hot Pepper Chicken and it was delicious. I recommend this place to everyone to try it. You’ll want to go back constantly.
We had general tso's chicken and Mongolian beef that was absolutely delicious... highly recommend
It was epic
Excellent food, at reasonable prices and really fast too
Fantastically delicious!!!
I just got my to go order, they got my order totally right. I changed a few things with my order. So for it to come to me the way I ordered it is unheard of. This will be my new chinese place. I just moved here. It's like 2 mins away. Thank You Mei Wei!
This place continued to get a delivery order incorrect, three times in a row. When the customer was finally forced to drive up there and find out why she was charged TWICE for the same order that they kept getting wrong, the owner or manager (male) tried striking her!! This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional!!! I'd give zero stars if possible.
I live ordering from their app they always have the order ready on time as well and read the extra instructions in the online orders
Food was great I was amazed that the 1 waitress was able to handle all the tables by her self and it was busy. Kudos to the young Hispanic girl with tattoos.
Nice waitress ,but she was new. the pad thai was terrible. That's all I know because that's all I had. first time being there. If you're going to eat a certain food go to a restaurant that only serves that style of food.
Delicious!
Love this place! Everytime my family and I crave Chinese this is definitely the spot! Delicious!!
Pricey but great Asian food
My wife and I went on a Friday lunch with only 3 other families in the restaurant, we were left at the counter waiting to be seated for 5 minutes and ignored, a women walked in and was seated immediately and we were if ignored again, I guess they don’t want to serve Asian Americans here even though the staff was clearly of Asian descent, my wife was very upset for clearly being ignored over the white American lady, the staff didn’t even look at us when I opened the door to leave, Never Going Back!!
High quality food. Great service. Prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Has now definitely been added to the list of go to's
Love the shrimp fried rice and the service is very attentive
Excellent Chinese food. Lunch and dinner menu. App, Inside, or Phone order. Inside or to go.
Quick, friendly service and tasty food. Wish they were open until 10 but 9:30 is still ok. Nice location as well
Been here a dozen times and it is great everytime!!! Prices are good and food is always delicious. I have had a few of their soups and appetizers. Wonton, Hot and Sour, Eggdrop soups. Potstickers, Spring Rolls, Cheese Puffs. Just to name a few. And I am all about that General Tso chicken (I know, not traditional) Highly recommend :)
