Unassuming Thai restaurant presenting staples such as curries & soups for dine-in or takeout.
For people saying this is the best Thai, haven't had good Thai food before.
This food had no flavor, 2 shrimp on my $17 plate.
No sauces on table, soy, chilli,, nothing.
Waitress was very nice.
I took home our almost full portions, so I can fix them myself. These pictures are of our plates when we were leaving.
Reliable neighborhood Thia restaurant. Service and food were good. The place was half full but they had tons of pick up orders. I got pumpkin curry with rice which hit the spot.
a little pricy (extra $2 for rice and more for meats for stir fry) but definitely delicious and large portions. beef pad thai and wonton soup were both delicious. thought it was a little weird to not have crushed peanuts for pad thai but the dish was delicious and i quick forgot about it.
family owned and great service!
Every time we order it is on point! They are consistent, friendly, and super fast. We love Kop Chai!
This is good as hell this is the best thai food I ever had in my life on god, the pad see ew was so flavorful I almost had a stroke and the fried rice was so good

Tasty, just right.
LOVE
The chicken Satay and Tom Kai is really good 👍
The show stopper is the mango rice!!! So good
just had the chicken in curry sauce.Awsome
people are super nice. cant wait to go again
Love the chicken fried rice!
Long time Camas Thai favorite. It was there when I moved here 20 years ago.
Everything was so delicious!!
NEVER AGAIN! Ordered to-go. Food was extremely oily and salty! They packaged the food very sloppily, the oil leaked out into the box, and the food looked like they take no pride in making it. The pad Thai was the worst, I wonder if the use food coloring to make it that weird yellow or maybe it was the oil! I became nauseous after eating the food. I love Thai food but this place had me rethinking if I want to eat Thai food anymore.
Always delicious and the best service! My go to in Camas/Washougal.
I could have gone to Panda Express for half the price and got much fresher vegetables and meat. Won’t be back again
Very kind ladies and delicious fried rice!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Serious cross contamination in beef dish, had a shrimp tail in curry.
Did take out for dinner here. The food was ok, however I order a beef dish. While I was eating it I found a shrimp tail in my curry.
The website to order asked for allergies however I figure ordering two dishes one beef and the other chicken I would not have to worry about getting shrimp in my food.
This is serious cross contamination. The food was ok but beware if you have any allergies.
I didn’t really like the pad Thai tbh
Always a great experience!
Pad Thai taste like noodles and ketchup
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu
I've eaten at Kop Chai several times in the past, but we were extremely disappointed this time. It was very strange that all the prices were blacked out on the menus & new ones were not listed. We both ordered a veggie stir fry, one chicken & one beef. It arrived with way too much liquid & veggies were very soggy. Supposed to have baby corn, & mine might have had one piece. Waitress never asked how we were doing. No sauces or anything at all on the table...had to ask. Would have liked some spice to liven up the bland dish. Next time will drive downtown to Thai Orchid!
Food is delicious and the fast service has Kop Chai on top of my list for camas. Definitely recommend
You have to add an unknown amount to each item on the menu.
Delicious food! I got the Pad Bamee and my bf got green curry. Definitely recommend!
We liked the food! Kind staff and good food.
Best crab puffs ever!!
This was my 1st time ordering and it was home delivery. I was very disappointed as soon as I opened the bag. They put the heavy plastic container on top of the styrofoam container and crushed it and the heavy container leaked all over. They can’t even bag the food correctly. The crab Puffs were old, stale and oily. I could not eat them. My Lad Na was not great, it was salty and oily. I also tried the Pad Kee Mao my boyfriend ordered and it was not good. He had not tried it when I wrote this, but I know he is not going to like it and may not even eat it. We have had much better and fresher Thai food at other restaurants. I will never order from here again.
Super tasty and reasonably priced, staff was really nice too
Food was great and service was very fast.
I have ordered Catering from this place for my daughter’s 18th birthday party. Food was great, price was reasonable. More importantly, service is very good. Food was packed well, ready on time. They gave us lot more quantity so we had no worries of incase food being enough or not during the party. I would definitely recommend this place anyone (definitely for catering)
Love their food
I've ordered Pad Thai for take out a few times, and it's been kind of inconsistent in its quality. Obviously good enough for me to eat multiple times, but not 5 star great.
Best food i’ve ever eaten. if it wasn’t so far from me i’d eat here all the time. super fast service as well.
Very greasy drunken noodle, pretty bland, not the best I’ve tried.
THE BEST yellow curry there is! Nowhere compares!
Very good family run . Small big menu lots of flavor. Everyone was real nice great service.
Terribad. Food was undercooked, soggy and basically inedible. Used to really enjoy their food, but they’ve turned a corner, sadly.
This is our go-to restaurant for takeout. Always good food and easy pick up.
I ordered a dish I eat very frequently in other Thai restaurants. The food was swimming in grease. It was so oily, it was difficult to eat. I do not recommend this restaurant.
I had such a poor experience ordering on their website. Nothing was ready for pickup as their computer wasn't working. So next time I called the order in. My salad roll order of two tofu and five shrimp turned into two tofu and and an order of 'fried shrimp'. Another 40 min. wait on pickup to get it right.
The service is quite nice. Pleasant atmosphere. The staff is friendly. I ordered the pad kee mao and found it rather sweet. This tells me that this restaurant caters to the local, non-Asian population. I don't fault this restaurant for doing so as the demographics of Camas probably consists of people who add a lot of sugar to their cooking. I like authentic Asian cooking, however.
Hello to all! My family ate here 10/15/22. The place was packed. I wonder if they have new owners or new bad cook. Each dish we order was so so bad. My son ordered a Pad thai with octopus, my husband order a curry and I ordered a Tom Ka soup that had too much coconut milk, just wrong!. I also ordered a pork fried rice and spring rolls to go. We all became so sick. We had good food at this location before I wonder 🤔 what happened? Sadly we will not return.
Best Thai Food EVER!!!
Their food was full of flavor. The serving for the Pad Thai to go was incredible. I may not have taken photos this time but I plan on going again in a couple days. Seriously the best Tofu Pad Thai and Veggie Yellow Curry I have ever had.
Does the job. But misses mark on heat.
I checked google for Thai food. Based on the reviews we went here. We had a Thai Tea, and Phad Thai Chicken, and a Yellow Curry Chicken. Phad Thai was bland and flavorless. Yellow Curry was too strong curry wise, the spiciness was ok though. Both dishes had chicken that was a processed type. Hey, take the time to chop up real chicken, and stay away from the processed kind. ALSO, there were 2 tables piled up with cardboard boxes. A real atmosphere killer. But Wait thats not all. The 2 entree's were both $12.99 on the menu, and the Thai Tea was $3.99. When the check came it was entree's $13.49 each, and Thai Tea $4.99. I asked the waitress to correct the check. At first she tried to explain it away that the prices did go up, 'BUT' we haven't got the New Menu's yet. Huh!!! So I insisted she correct the check. She did. But I shouldn't have to ask. Plus We left a $4- tip. Shouldn't have, but we did. Shape up Top Chai.
The food was amazing and the wait staff friendly.
Generous portions, great flavor and consistent quality- this is my favorite takeout spot in Camas!
Delicious padkeh moa and tomyum seafood soup
Great food and service.
Had the yellow curry. 💛was great!
Love this place super tasty and the price is right
Some places skimp on the meat and pumpkin in their pumpkin curry, this is not that place. I have tried pumpkin curry at every Thai restaurant because it’s so rarely offered and my favorite! This one is up there. It’s SO good. The spring rolls are huge and the satay is smoky and tender deliciousness. Keep the pumpkin curry on the menu!!!!!
Fast and friendly service
Picked up dinner from Kop Chai. When we went in no one was wearing masks including the staff.
Pad Thai was very dry. One of my favorite appetizers, Chicken Satay was over cooked and burned. It was actually so overcooked that it was hard and charred. We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. This was a terrible experience and we will not go back for a while. Very disappointed since we spent over $80 on dinner.
Always delicious. Wife loves thier pumpkin curry, kids love the crab fried rice.
a little pricy (extra $2 for rice and more for meats for stir fry) but definitely delicious and large portions. beef pad thai and wonton soup were both delicious. thought it was a little weird to not have crushed peanuts for pad thai but the dish was delicious and i quick forgot about it.
family owned and great service!
好吃,下次還會再去.
Delicious food. Friendly server. We will be back. Loved the yellow curry.
Great Thai!
Great Thai food in downtown Camas.
The crab puffs are amazing and the atmosphere is very nice. This is a nice restaurant that I will definitely be coming back to many times.
Food was decent at best. Service was terrible. Wait staff were rude. Restaurant was dirty. Boxes everywhere.
This has been our favorite place for YEARS! They never disappoint and we’ve had most items on the menu now. I can’t recommend Kop Chai enough
I walked in for the first time from the paper mill to order an extra spicy pad si ew and Thai iced tea. I tried to call but despite being open for 15 minutes already they didn't answer their phone. I got my food and asked for a side of Thai pepper fish sauce and chop sticks. She sounded irratated at the request and reluctantly obliged.
I then walked back to the mill only to realize she didn't give me my iced tea. Considering that the (small) iced tea cost nearly 6 bucks 😳, I decided to walk back for it. When I arrived she not only didn't recognize me from moments before but also argued with me that I didn't pay for the iced tea after explaining the situation. After further frustration, she caved in and gave me my plastic cup of sweet tea.
After getting back to the mill I began to eat, but was generally dissatisfied with the food. Extra spicy just means piles of dried red chili flakes on top of the dish, not even cooked into the food. Dump a jar of red chili flakes into your mouth and start chewing. That was the basic equivalent. Compared to Wild Tiger or Arawan, Kop Chai is a distant 3rd place.
Best food ever! Always sooo fresh and healthy. Owners are sweet and welcoming, great throughout this Virus time. I recommend the pad warn 👌 or the curry 🍛
If you’ve had a lot of good Thai food, you won’t enjoy this style of food and the quality isn’t the best from what my taste buds told me.
Great food and good portions
IF YOU ARE VEGAN/DAIRY-FREE: All of their rice is cooked in butter.
Vegetable stir fry was gross, tofu tasted like rubber. The vegetables were old and frozen. Vegetable pad Thai was just noodles in way too much sauce. When we asked why there were no vegetables in the pad thai, they said vegetables meant bean sprouts and green onion.
I wanted to throw up after eating here. Used to be much better, but last few times I've gone here, it's gotten worse and worse.
They have really good food but I have only had two dishes. They were both really tasty. The service is friendly and courteous. The prices are pretty normal. They are moderately priced.
Food was very good. Service was efficient too.
Hot and delicious. Very nice staff as well.
I have been going here and ordering takeout for majority of my life. This is my mom and Is go-to place for thai and they are the sweetest people. The food is always amazing and their peanut sauce is by far my favorite!
More oily than expected. Ordinary Thai food taste. Noodles are overcooked. Basil is not fresh.
Food good. Service was lame. Atmosphere only so so. If it was not for the good food we may not return .
We just moved to the area and are on the hunt for a new favorite Thai/Lao restaurant. I wanted to love this place, but I just wasn't feeling it. High points are the flavors and down home feel. The Masaman curry was dang good.
Food here is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. Support local.
Great Thai food we will order again
Food is good, but extremely inconsistent. As someone who tends to order the same thing every time, i would give higher rating if I recieved the same product every time I order it. Unfortunately that's not the case.
We love this Thai restaurant! Their spring rolls with peanut butter sauce are aaaamazing. I always get the Massaman Curry and my husband gets the Chicken Pad Thai. Both are always amazing. We’ve moved from the area but always stop here whenever we’re in town!
Been here a few times now and it's good! They're quick and friendly too. Can recommend the Pad See Ew.
Got the seafood fried rice and it was delicious, I also asked if they could add curry to the rice and they did it no problem. Fast and delicious!
Some of the absolute best Thai food I have ever had! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating is because when I have asked for a spice level, it seems like they miss that part from time to time.
I ordered chicken phad Thai, green curry, beef salad and a pad sew. After trying the curry for the first time, I had a very strong urge to call the restaurant to complain and demand my money back. The other dishes were just. as. bad...
If you had Thai food before; YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED! I’m questioning if the chef or owners Thai . I’m sorry to give a bad review. I wish this was the review I saw before I ordered. There is no way this restaurant got over 4 stars.
Amazing pai Thai, amazing crab puffs.
Good place to eat. Yellow curry is my favorite.
This is our go-to place for take out. They have awesome vegan options and the team is so great at modifying dishes to make them vegan for you. Our favorites are the curries. The pumpkin and panang curry are AMAZING with half tofu half veggies.
Fresh, tasty, and made without all of the starch like other restaurants (starch is used to thicken dishes which, to me, can become gloppy). Pad See Ew and Curry were delicious. Recommend this local eatery whole-heartedly!
Best Thai food in Camas! However, a bit on the pricey side
Delivery with Doordash was great.
We ordered two Mild curries which were still very spicy, making them difficult to eat.
The flavors and appetizers were good.
Maybe we'll try something different next time but avoid the curry unless you want a mouthful of fire.
Excellent food and quick service.
Best Thai around great n fast service absolutely delicious!!!
The Red Curry was amazing! The flavors were just perfect. I was quite skeptical since actually my first choice was the Camas Thai place down the street...since they had such rave reviews.... but after attempting to call in my order for about 10 min... I finally just drove down to find they were closed. So I placed the very same order with Kop Chai... I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. As I said the Red Curry Chicken was the best I've had. The Pad Thai was very good as well.. its my personal opinion they were missing the chopped nuts and the amount of chicken was scarce, but the flavor was definitely on point.
We ordered takeout for Mother's Day and there was a long wait. I ordered for pickup at 5:30 and did not get my food until an hr later. They almost forgot one of the menu items I ordered. Also, because they did not have one of the entrees I ordered, they suggested another entree and I paid the difference of .98 cents. When i looked at my bank statement they had overcharged me 8 dollars. Food was okay. I will most likely will not order here again just from this experience.
Nice place. Had take out that was tasty. Lots of choices. Garlic beef was good as was house fried rice. Pad Thai chicken we enjoyed too. Recommended.
Delicious. Good service, price and excellent food. $60 for 4 adults with plenty of leftovers for the next day. Pad Thai and Gluten Free options.
Our family recently moved out to the Washougal/Camas area and we are so happy we were able to find this place! Food is always delicious, hot, and prepared quickly. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Some of the best Thai food we have had!
Excellent food. Couple of large tables for groups. Fast service. Can be drafty in winter if you sit by door.
We wanted to try a new Thai place and called Kop Chai to verify that they accommodate allergy-sensitive diets. The person on the phone was hardly audible and unresponsive when he picked up. There was a sense of rudeness in his tone. I asked my question regarding a specific entree. He answered the question; then proceeded to rudely ask if I was going to order or ‘was I just asking’. That’s all I needed to hear to decide not to dine at Kop Chai on Cedar street in Camas. He clearly is not a happy individual. I quickly read through their reviews and feel confident that eating at this establishment would NOT be a good experience.
Poor wait staff. No presentation. Food basic. Why bother?
Good food
Average food. When we went there, they ran out of white rice! Place didn’t look so clean. The dishes didn’t look clean as well.
First off let me start off by saying this was our first time visiting. So when we walked in we waited for about 5mins than decided to just sit down. Another couple walked in and were served right away. While we were ignored. We finally got water than our order taken. Our Salad rolls came out with HAIR in them and the lettuce looked bad. Than my pad thai came out and it had an off taste but it wasnt terrible. Between the service and the way the food looked we wont be coming back. If you want a bigger customer base I'd definitely recommend changing the way the food is served and make it presentable and flavorful, cleanliness, and gain better customer service.
Great Tom Yum soup, must try it.
Best pineapple curry around. Definitely have the #16 house special beef salad. It's really complicated and very very good.
This use to be one of my favorites when they first opened. Now, the portions are smaller, the flavors aren't as good and neither is the customer service. So many other great Thai restaurants that we will not be returning.
Dined in the restaurant: Staff wasn't attentive. They were back in the kitchen speaking amongst themselves. Leaving walk in orders standing at the counter for 4+mins on average. Water was never refilled or even offered to be refilled.
Food was ok, had the beef noodle soup, basil came out moist and black as it had gone bad. Staff never came back to check on tables other then to serve food. Will not be going back again.
Food is good, not great. Service is horrible.
Great food and ambiance
Third time I have went back to eat and the service is aweful and the food is just so so if that.
Love the salad rolls, very fresh with yummy dipping sauces. The Tom Yum soup was great. Large portions and friendly service.
Consistently good food, accomodates when ordering if you want something specific, mediocre service, have to wait to be noticed, owner gets in bizarre indiscreet arguments with customers if they dare complain about the food and blames customers for ordering wrong lol, and doesn't attempt to rectify ...then goes around inappropriately asking other customers what they think about the complaining customer and talks about them after they leave. I consider this a quirk and don't order anything I might not like. Great food though lol and will definitely be back. Just have to know the quirks of small town small family owned businesses :)
Best Thai in the world!!
Best Thai food in the area.
The fried halibut curry dish is definitely a memorable one and I’ll be back to keep trying all the dishes and to just get that. The mango sticky rice is also a sweet and tasty treat that is the best around!! We’re definitely customers for life
My "goto" for curry craving within the Washougal area (I always order takeout.) Fast and courteous service with reasonable prices. I have ordered, so far, two different types of curry and both have been awesome. Both the summer/spring rolls have been very tasty as well. I do recommend.
Best Pad Thai in the area.
Vegetarian Spring Rolls are very good!
Awesome food . Very nice staff.
Had the sizzling chicken and shrimp. Nice flavor!
Amazing flavor at a reasonable price!
Love the curry.
