Came to this place that was recommended recently by a family member. We ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken, Drunken Noodles with Shrimp, and an order of vegetarian spring rolls. Every dish was delicious and the staff are as sweet as can be. I can't wait to come back to try their dumplings.
Service was impeccable and the vibes were immaculate. We had lunch service and our server was very attentive. Their Basil eggplant with tofu was delicious, the savory sauce was a perfect blend of flavors. Their pad Thai and papaya salad was excellent as well. Big Thai is our go to place for authentic Thai food and I’m jonesing for our next visit at their new location.
Always so yummy! The staff and service is impeccable. I have dined in and gotten pick up and am always delighted. Highly Recommend!
I loved this place! The atmosphere is cozy and tranquil. I didn't eat a single thing that I didn't enjoy. The wait staff were friendly and on point! Our tea glasses were never empty, our orders were promptly taken, and our entrees and main course came out quickly. I definitely will be returning to sample more of their menu.
It was very upscale inside with cloth napkins and stemmed glasses. Cute bench seating along one wall and classic music playing softly. We expected the prices to be higher so we were pleasantly suprised to see everything about equal to Panda express down the road. We had an Shrimp rolls, Pad Thai and Garlic Pepper Stir fry. All of it was fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. They offered a tray with numerous levels of heat and flavor to add to your meal at your own discretion. However I heard several customers when ordering ask for their entr to be spicier or less spicy. I thought the heat level was perfect for the average person so if you like Hot ask for it. If you do not like spicy ask for it toned down just a bit. I really love the fresh greens and vegetables in Thia food and they did a perfect job representing that. The service was equally as great never wanted for anything and dishes came out in a timely manner. Very enjoyable, we will definitely be back!
I love the new location! This is definitely the best restaurant in Lake Jackson, and the food was even BETTER at the new place!
Try the potstickers as your appetizer - you’re not going to regret it 🥟
Always so yummy! The staff and service is impeccable. I have dined in and gotten pick up and am always delighted. Highly Recommend!
Great Pad Thai and great service!
Good food. Pricey for what you get. Good customer service.
Went for my birthday lunch with my husband- got the potstickers and crab angles as appetizers, and both were absolutely delicious. The broth the potstickers were served in- I would genuinely just drink straight. The crab angles are clearly made with real crab, and densely packed- much more filling than wonton.
We ordered the winter soup (which was posted on FB) and it was amazing- easily enough for us to share (which we did). and STILL had leftovers!
Hubby got the yellow chicken curry which was well spiced and easily within his pepper head tolerance.
I got the shrimp pad Thai, and was incredibly pleased with my meal as much as he was his.
10/10 birthday lunch. Will return.
I love the new location! This is definitely the best restaurant in Lake Jackson, and the food was even BETTER at the new place!

Very good place to bring the family and the food is good also service is very good
I absolutely love Big Thai, discovered their Chicken Noodle Bowl, and have never really had their other dishes. Until tonight. I saw that the Pad Thai and the Crispy Spring Rolls are the top 2 items. The rolls were good. I found the Pad Thai to be far too sweet for my taste. The dumplings and potstickers were fantastic.
Wonderful food with a nice and cozy atmosphere! Staff was very attentive and helpful. Pad Thai was very flavorful and came in good portion!
Excellent food and friendly service
I love this place. Drunkin noodles or the crab fried rice 10 out or 10.
Oh my gosh. This is my go to Thai place now. All of our food was hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS!
We tried curry dishes, chicken satay, larb, and crispy spring rolls. I would recommend all of it and I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items.
Our server was super sweet and polite. Plus she refilled my water like 6 times.
The only thing was that the bathrooms were down the hallway past the server station and dish carts so it was a little yuck but otherwise everything was perfect.
Hours posted when we went there yesterday are:
Lunch: Mon-Sat 11:00-2:00
Dinner: Mon-Sat 5:00-8:30
However we got there at about 4:40 and they went ahead and sat us.
We enjoyed our food and the service both.
A hidden gem here in Lake Jackson. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING on the menu is great! Their daily specials are Amazing as well!!! One of my go to's is the Pad Tai. The chicken noodle bowl is a mustvtry as well! Do not leave without getting a slice of their coconut cake!
Great food and service. This place never disappoints. Always consistently good.
Always a great experience here!
The food and service here is fantastic!
This hidden gem is by far my favorite restaurant in Lake Jackson. The staff is wonderful and kind. I highly recommend this place ♥️
Excellent food, cooked perfectly. The crispy duck is to die for. Seafood Curry was outstanding. Papaya salad is always great and dumplings or awesome. We always enjoy this restaurant.
Delicious Thai food. I love this place. I've been having lunch on weekly basis since last year Spicy fried rice chicken extra veggies 👌.
The Owner Sarah and July are very nice and welcoming.
The staff is very nice as well.
Recommended.
First visit - very good Pad Thai !
Great food, friendly staff, and a very nice dining room. This is my go-to place for Thai cuisine. Bold flavors without overwhelming hot sauce. Convenient parking near the main entrance.
Everything is great! No complaints at all...top notch service, great price and portions, very relaxing environment, very clean & sanitary!!
Water tasted bad. Didn't like the Tom Kha soup because I didn't like the lime kefir in it. The noodles were good and enjoyed it the next day as well.
Great food and great service!
Great Thai food! Kind of expensive
Very good food, spicy food isn't that spicy
Great food and service!!! 5 stars. Great date spot too.
For a fast food restaurant you'd think that they would be open on sundays
Tom yum soup? FIRE
drunken noodles? Made me sick I was sad I really wanted to like them but they tasted too funny
Variety of different foods. Delicious
The chiangmai sausage is especially good!
BEST FRIED RICE EVER AND THE ABSOLUTE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
Delicious food, fresh ingredients, and friendly service!
Great Thai tea. Delicious food and friendly service.
We arrived 25 minutes before opening. But when they came to the door to tell my husband and I they invited us to come on in to sit and wait. But we did not have to wait they served us right away. Pon, our waiter found out it was our 58th anniversary and gave up a wonderful piece of coconut cake at the end. Exceptional treatment and service from this excellent Thai restaurant. By the way we had crispy duck which had broccolli and vegetables with crab fried rice which had large chunks of lump white crab meat. I forgot to mention our 2 appetizers of pot stickers and dumpling and their sauces were to die for. Everything was really exceptional and by far the best Thai anywhere near . Treat yourself it will be special.
Disappointing. Tom Kha soup was really good 10/10. Cashew nut vegetables 7/10 rather flavorless. Fried rice with chicken had good flavor but chicken was hard, and some pieces weren’t even chewable 5/10. When told the waitress, she said “I’ll check with the kitchen for next time”. Well, with this attitude and disappointing quality of food there won’t be a next time.
Always a great place
Worst red curry I ever had! No taste at all curry was like water seems like they didn't even cook it. Well I would not recommend anyone to go there!
Very good and service.
If you enjoy Thai, you have to visit this place. Pad thai was perfect with just the right sweetness, tang and spice. The tofu was cooked well, spice was what I was looking for. Ate there rhe last two days I was in town. Looking forward to going back.
Delicious & customized to meet our vegetarian needs. Thank you!
Great
Had shrimp with vegetables. Shrimp were overcooked and seemed like they were just boiled and added after the dish was cooked. Sauce was not good. My second visit and still a disappointment.
My husband and I eat here frequently, we have never had a dish we didn't love!! Their coconut soup/cake are just beyond amazing!!!!
Waiter was friendly, food was hot and fresh. We both had the drunken noodle plate and it was delicious! Will go back.
Best spot in town for vegan, vegetarian, plant-based options. My favorite restaurant in LJ. Always friendly service and the most delicious food. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and these are the best dishes:
GREEN CURRY
PAD THAI
THAI FRIED RICE
DRUNKEN NOODLE
Highly recommend you make this place part of your routine
The food is always delicious and the service is polite and detailed!
One of the best Thai places in all of Brazoria county
Will never go there again 1st time to try it walked in there. There where other people eating and they told my family they where closed but they where still severing people food they decided me my wife and 4 kids to eat
Never unsatisfied!
Not as fancy as it used to be in years past. Prices are still at that fancy level. Food is good and service is efficient however.
Not a place I go to often, but still enjoy every so often.
We have been eating there since they opened. The service and food have always been first rate until today, 3/14/2022. They have a Cucumber salad that they serve with the satay that I truly love and they have always graciously substituted it for the regular salad and in a generous portion to boot.
I do not know who was in the kitchen or what had changed, but whoever was in the back refused my request, even after I carefully explained that they had been doing this for years.
There have been a lot of new faces here, and I truly believe that the people who started the restaurant and were cooking here are long gone. The quality of the food is definitely not what it was when it first opened.
I felt that I had no option but to cancel my order. I explained to the very polite waiter that this was in no way his fault and I was not upset with him. Further, no one from the back, i.e. chef, supervisor, owner; bothered to come out to my table to explain the sudden change or reason for the refusal. Cleary the cancellation of my order did not concern them, nor did the implicit statement that we shall never return to Big's.
Been a couple of times and most dishes I tried were pretty good, cashew chicken disappointing though. Overall a good restaurant and I'll be back
Good food for my first time. I really like the soup.
A hidden jewel. Have dined at this restaurant many times. It is located in a strip center so it was a pleasant surprise to find this elegant place inside. The food is always tasty and the presentation delightful. It's obvious they use fresh ingredients when you encounter the crisp vegetables in the savory sauce or delicious curry dishes. The service is usually prompt and attentive.
This place is SO AMAZING! All of their ingredients are fresh and never soggy or old. The flavors of the red curry are to so good I get that every time. The service is always amazing even when they are busy. You will not be disappointed in this place. I highly recommend it.
Excellent meal. I had the special which was a basil crunchy duck. HUGE serving, more than enough to fill me up. The duck was cooked PERFECTLY and the sauce was mild and complemented the dish well. (I like spicy, I should have asked for a spicier sauce).
There's no kids menu, but the spring rolls were happily devoured by our 6yo.
The sweet and sour pork was excellent.
Cashew Stir Fry was also excellent.
Decor is cozy and intimate (a.k.a. dark and small) but not uncomfortable.
Prices were excellent for the serving sizes and quality of food.
Service was top notch. I don't think my tea ever got below 1/4 before being refilled. Very friendly and on top of it.
Bathrooms were very clean.
We will be back.
Went there over lunch and ordered fried rice. Could literally see lumps of white rice. Plus they took 35 min to get us the lunch order. Colleague was disappointed with his vegetarian curry meal too
I lived in Thailand for almost a decade, this place has the most authentic Thai food in the area. Definitely recommend it.
Quick service, food came out fast. Tasted good also. Little greasy but that's expected from Pad Thai.
We ate here for lunch and the food was great! The service was the best my family has had in years! She was so great with my toddler and did helpful things without being asked such as cups with lids for the kids and a portion of our rice before the meal that the little kids could start eating right away. I have not had such a smooth experience at a restaurant in years! Fantastic service and food to match!
Good food!
such good food, and service. never disappoints!!
Food is average. Probably best Thai in the area. I had yellow curry with chicken. The curry was watery and not creamy. It was also pretty bland. Thai is supposed to emphasize the spice. Vegetables seemed fresh and chicken was cooked good but also lacking flavor. I'd go back, hopefully they can tweak their curry to not be watery and pack more of a punch. Then they would be 5 stars hands down.
Friendly staff. Good food. Good service.
This place is a Small Town Treasure!!! A wonderful family owned restaurant that has respectful attentive staff. I truly love eating here, I have tried several of their menu items and have yet to be disappointed with the food. The crab angels are good! And the seafood soup is spicy and comforting! My husband loves the duck❣
Excellent good and friendly knowledgeable staff and service. 🤗
Great Thai food, fresh and flavorful!
Great food! Breathe of fresh air in an area with limited choices of food!!
Small Menu, Great Flavors and a Amazing Service!
I’ve been driving 100 miles round trip just to eat out in Houston but don’t have to anymore. This gem of a find is owned by and cooked by Asians (assuming Thai). The papaya salad is the best I’ve had from a restaurant PLUS they have an entire PAGE OF VEGAN options (all curries and stir fries can be made vegan). I’ve already been back twice.
The coconut curry with chicken is so dang good. Spice is just right.
Didn't eat there
The food is always good but this review is specifically for the manager who is RUDE, IRRESPONSIBLE and will do everything to INSULT you and also make you feel offended. I'm sorry if the owner is reading this which I'm sure you will please get rid of this Manager because I'm a regular customer here will not Return here to get insulted
We love eating here at Big Thai! We usually get three entrees and share them. Our favorite so far is the pad zee ew, the drunken noodles (which is pretty much the same thing but spicy) and the crab fried rice, which has huge lump crab meat in it! The flavors are amazing and the portion size is large enough for sharing. I love all the fresh veggies in the dishes as well. You can’t get fresher!
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I asked for Thai hot and apparently they didn't believe me. It was not spicy at all. Thank God for Sri racha!
Eaten before the food wasn't even spicy and I asked them to make it spicy .
I Looooooooooooove this place!!❤️
Everything is awesome. Try the crispy duck.
One of our all time favorites.
Big Thai is always one of my family’s favorite places to go for dinner when we come to town! The portions are huge and we often have enough leftover for lunch the next day. The service is always fast and the servers are so nice and helpful! The Thai Dumplings are our favorite appetizer and they are very flavorful. I took a picture of my brother’s and my plate. He had the Drunken Noodles with beef and I had shrimp Pad Thai. Both were delicious! You really can’t go wrong with anything you order here!
Green papaya salad is on point. Staff was very attentive and prices were good. Definitely will be back.
Today, the service and food at Big Thai were amazing. The sweet and sour pork was full of vegetables and pineapple. Served piping hot. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Well done Big Thai.
I ordered the Pad Zee-Ew with chicken and it was really good. Husband liked the crab angels. Will definitely return.
The food and service is always awesome!!!!!!!
Great food.
Great food at a great price.
A+!!! LOOOVE THE FOOD AND THE BUTTERFLY TEA!!! The coconut cake is the best!
Our first time and my finicky husband loved the blue tea. The garlic pepper shrimp and the spring rolls. Service was fabulous and attentive but not clingy.
The food is great its deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, however the service isn't that good its only about 2-1/2 ⭐.
I spend more than $70 for different curries and they all tasted the same with a very sweet flavour. it felt like I spend all the money in buying dessert.
Always good and a very diverse menu
I love their food, is always a good experience eating there.
Great staff and authentic Thai food. Love this restaurant. If your tired of the Chinese Buffets in the area, this is a breath of fresh air.
I love this place. Food is so good.
Omg amazing food highly suggest for a romantic date night or just an amazing meal!
I love Thai food, eat it frequently. I have eaten Thai on multiple continents. This place gets 2 stars because service is decent and it is clean and ambiance is nice. If it was solely based upon food, there would be one star. The food was not bad, but it was the least exciting Thai food I have ever eaten. Bland. Tom Kha was like white water. Where was the coconut? Where was the lemon grass? Red curry paste? And the Thai massaman curry sauce was also lacking flavor. So disappointing. This could be such a nice little place and the cook doesn't know how to cook Thai.
Blue tea was awesome
This place is amazing ! Incredible service!
Love this place, Fab food, great people.
Excellent Thai food. Best in the area!
Food was good. Very easy to order vegan. Service was great. Prices were reasonable and restaurant was very clean.
Excellent food! The plates are a work of art! I had the that seafood curry and it was amazing
Always enjoy this places. You cannot go wrong with the lunch specials. They are reasonably priced.
Food was awesome and a good waiter
Stopped here after an afternoon kayak trip. It was near closing time so we were expecting marginal service, stale food and and dirty restrooms. Yes I was biased, don’t judge me. We were surprised on all accounts. The service was great and I would say actually friendly. Drink glasses were never empty (strange for a restaurant now days) the food was fresh and served perfectly. Two of us had the drunken noodles with dumpling appetizers the other person had fish (I don’t know what kind, I never even look at the fish part of the menu).
In addition to good, reasonably priced food, the atmosphere is wonderful. None of the red tassels and paper lights and table coverings (don’t judge) just a classy decorum.
I love this place! The waitress is really nice, no wait, delicious food, relatively inexpensive. We'll be back, no doubt about it. I fell in love with their pad thai 😋
Delicious
Best food in town!!
Great food. A little pricey.
This aint real Thai food ..Not recommended..i can make my food more Thai Style than theres..been to Thailand many times and street food taste better than what they serve...🙏ใช่ ครับ...
Really good food! Excellent flavor and has many levels of spice for most dishes. I will go back and try many more.
Great food
The only Thai place I know of in Lake Jackson, which I guess makes it the best!
Recommended
This is the third time we have visited Big Thai Restaurant. Each time the service and the food has been excellent. I like spicy food but I have learned to not ask for the spicy food. I can only handle up to medium spicy at the most. I highly recommend this place to others.
Served me raw duck and said that it was supposed to be like that when I pointed out that it was raw! No bird should be served raw!
A great find in the land of burgers and fried seafood. Beautifully decorated, excellent service and the food was fresh and delicious. The Larb was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of hot. We'll return the next time we are in the area.
We enjoyed the dining experience and delicious food here. Flavors taste authentic and presentation is near perfect. Try it.
Excellent wait staff very attentive and the food was fantastic.
My husband & I went on a Saturday night near closing time (near 9PM). We were greeted by a very nice woman (who we found out later was our server). Cozy quiet ambience with a selection of classical music in the background. We ordered spring roll appetizers, which were hot & fresh, accompanied by a semi sweet dipping sauce. Delicious! Since the hubby hadn't experienced Thai food, I ordered chicken Pad Thai for him, shrimp Pad Thai for me. Rice noodles, finely chopped peanuts, bean sprouts, a good portion of meat, along with a lime wedge and a rack containing a variety of four sauces. Our server described each one, along with its level of heat. The hubby likes hot & spicy food, so he tried a hot & spicy sauce. Liked it a lot. I stuck to the mild road. After filling our guts, there was enough to take home for another small meal. All in all, a very satisfying experience!
Good Thai food off the beaten path in small town Lake Jacskon. Good spice and authentic Thai atmosphere and cuisine. Great service, and extremely fast when your in hurry. Appatizers and meals are sizable enough to satisfy big appetites.
