The food was so delicious. The food was so fresh and the spring rolls are a perfect example.
It’s a mom and pop place where the quality of service was amazing. We went for dinner and I recommend the Bangkok boat and I can’t find the name but it was a seafood soup with fresh ingredients and an amazing aroma of coconut and lemon grass. I highly recommend this place!! PLUS they have parking and usually no place in downtown has parking!
We loved everything about this place. The ambience with the outdoor patio, the cozy inside dining tables, the comfortable lobby. The atmosphere is perfect.
We came with 3 kids and ordered many things off the menu. Service was fast and with a huge smile. The food was incredibly delicious. We had nothing but good things to say. Pad Thai, drunken noodles, satay, fried rice, mango and sticky rice - everything was great. Well definitely be coming back
Found this little hole in the wall with the most delicious food. Ordered the shrimp spring rolls and the "I don't know". My friend ordered the Bangkok boat with chicken. We were v impressed with the taste and portion sizes.
The employees were super sweet. The facility was clean. Their bathroom had a cute little sink that made me wonder why sinks in the bathroom are typically so big.
Everything was lovely, we will definitely be back again. Thank you 🤤
Thai is Thai. 💣 Here in this state of UT… this is Thai. Remember where you’re at…. Mormon country… so make sure to remind the host/chefs that spice is to be added if you’re a spicy person like me. If not, it won’t taste right. 🤣 I forgot to ask because I was so hungry so I got the non spicy version. It’s really delicious still with no spice. Will come back again. That broth… It hits home.
Maybe if you stick to noodles, you'll be okay. Based on my first experience here, I have no reason to return.
Thani Bowl Noodle House had two things in its favor, it was near my hotel, and it is not a chain. Wasn't super hungry and had ramen last night so I thought I'd go with just a couple of appetizers. I've always been a fan of chicken satay and potstickers, so I decided to get an order of each. It was a little bit of a dice roll because I ordered online and the online menu description of the potstickers is literally "deep-fried potstickers". No idea what the filling is (but after eating them my guess is pork).
I started with the potstickers because I didn't want them to lose their nice crispy edges. They were perfectly acceptable as potstickers go - not exceptional, but not bad.
The chicken satay however, is another story. If they had been cooked today, it was not in the recent past. They were either sitting under a heat lamp for a very long time, or possibly tossed into the microwave to rewarm them. To say that they were chewy is an understatement. They were downright leathery. I included the pictures of the de-chickened skewers so you could see how much of the chicken actually remained attached to the skewer after I tried to remove it. Extremely dry and tough.
I realize that noodle house is in the name. But if you are going to offer other items, they should be edible. Perhaps their dining room experience would have been better. But if you are offering take out, the quality of the food should be identical.
This is a lovely spot by Pioneer Park, and I so wish I could rate it higher. The raves over the food are grossly overstated, or otherwise, show a complete ignorance of Thai cuisine. We ordered 3 of the most popular dishes, and all three were full of fresh veggies, and there the praise ends. The sauces were indistinguishable, 3 shrimp in one dish, a few meager slices of pork and beef in the other two. The noodles aren’t made in-house, so very bland also. You can get the same fresh veggies at King Buffet, but with tastier sauces and a lot more protein.
The atmosphere is really pleasant, and service nice, with the exception of an underage cashier who could not sell beer, and no one of age who was licensed to do so. That deducted from the total tab, not good for business.
It’s such a bummer when a place has a great location, easy parking, nice staff and atmosphere, reasonable prices, and then the food is a big letdown. Big disappointment. They need a great Thai cookbook! No wonder my Thai friends never go here.
Thani Bowl is an ok restaurant in the area but be careful what you order. You order and pay up front and they bring out the food fairly quickly. Our Chicken Satay appetizer was extremely dry but the peanut dipping sauce was delicious. The Fragrant Harbor caught my eye and was listed at $15.49 on the menu with +$2.00 upcharge for Duck. However, they ended charging me more than extra $2 posted with the total being $18.92. Lying on the listed menu prices is the issue here. $15.49+$2=$17.49. The noodles were soggy and overcooked as well. At least the broth was good. My partner had better luck with his Designated Driver dish of drunken noodles. It had good flavor and he really enjoyed it. The outdoor seating is nice especially in the evenings when the weather cools down.
Their Designated Driver (drunken noodles). Were pretty good. I got them 2/3 spicy and they were very hot which was great. My only complaint is that the sauce wasn’t what I usually expect from Drunken Noodles. I’ve had similar ones before and don’t like them as much. Not horrible, just not amazing IMO.
Starts with the staff, friendly patient people. Delicious food and fun atmosphere. So happy this is in salt lake.
I love thani bowl! Try their masamam curry it’s amazing, and the atmosphere is so cozy and wonderful
Thai hot was thai hot! Almost went through a whole roll of paper towels on my forehead. Excellent Pad thai.
Great, affordable Thai food in SLC.
Wasn’t sure if they did large orders, but ordered their egg rolls for a potluck. Everyone loved it! It definitely was a hit! Will be back for more lol

Incredibly disappointed - food was bland & massively overpriced. So different from the photos on the menu that it feels like a bait and switch!
I ordered pork spring rolls and Chinese fried rice. The rice was mushy and was 95% mushy rice with a few ounces of meat and vegetables & perhaps half of one egg. Spring rolls were mostly iceberg lettuce with a couple of tiny morsels of pork.
It's a shame because the staff are very nice and the atmosphere quite cozy.
The food here is solid, but I don't really get the hype. This place unfortunately suffers from East Side Syndrome; and by that I mean the food is blander and more expensive than what's offered west of I-15. The drunken noodles are okay but the portion is small and not very flavorful compared to other locations. I can't recommend the fragrant soup dish at all; very bland. The service was good.

I love this place! it’s the cutest little place for a date or just to grab some great food. The front desk lady is so nice and the lighting and decoration is so aesthetically pleasing not to mention everything on the menu is absolutely delicious💕

The drunken noodles are great. Bit small of a portion for the price you pay. Spice level was good. Not much parking.
Seriously cool little place and the food is so good I DoorDash it to my office sometimes even though my office is only a block away! Haha
So fast, so friendly, so good. This is a quick (or not) stop for a great bowl or plate. I am attuned to soup and you will not go wrong with any selection. Make sure you ask for the seasoning service to you can spice it up to your level. Thank you all for consistent HIGH service. That makes the experience.
Appreciated the GF dish, always weary of trying places with the work crew. Thank you.
Got the massaman curry.
Asked for maximum heat.
It was like a 2-3/6 more sweet than hot.
Either im more desensitized than i thought or they thought i didnt know what i was about
The food was so delicious. The food was so fresh and the spring rolls are a perfect example.

Best Pad Thai I've had in Salt Lake, good service fun atmosphere, fun location!
Flavors are outstanding!! Meals came very quickly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed every bite!!
All I want to say that I visited this restaurant three times during my five-day trip to Salt Lake City.
This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant.
The Yellow Curry and the Bangkok boat are 2 of my absolute favorite meals. I always recommend this place to anyone around the area and I hope this place remains successful for as long as possible. They deserve it.
Wonderful curry!
I got a delicious massaman curry! I am excited to come here again 😋
I'm always very pleased with both the service and the food. Very cozy in both regards.
As someone who has lived in Thailand before, I really appreciated this place for its authenticity. The staff were really friendly and the food was great. I wish we had Thai food this good where I live in Florida. I’ll definitely be back next time I find myself in SLC!
Excellent service here. Although it is a take out type style place, they have indoor and outdoor seating where they will bring food out to you. It is quality service.
The food was absolutely freshly made and delicious with flavor. So glad we tried it.
The staff was fantastic and friendly! The food was superb!!
It is one of the best Thai places I've eaten in my life. Definitely dine here, You won't be disappointed!!
Had dinner last with some friends, we sat on the patio; food came fast. We enjoyed the food and conversation so much, we stayed a little past close. They didn't seem upset but I was embarrassed. Great, great, food well definitely be back again
I come here for my lunch break. The service is wonderful- every time I’ve been here everyone is super kind. I get their 6 egg rolls and they are absolutely divine. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you’re in the area!
Delicious chicken pho🙂

Everything was lovely, we will definitely be back again. Thank you 🤤
We found this place on Google and it was great. A bit of a walk so better to drive.
Good food and service. They have a dish called I don't know in case you are undecided.
We loved everything about this place. The ambience with the outdoor patio, the cozy inside dining tables, the comfortable lobby. The atmosphere is perfect.

Very americanized Thai food. Food is crazy sweet and barely any spices
Really kind staff though
I ordered the lobster fried rice. After just a couple of bites, as well as a search for the "lobster", I complained to them that I couldn't find any lobster in the dish. Their response was "we finely mince the "canned" lobster. Really? Canned lobster, and minced so finely that it's undetectable? I couldn't eat any more as it was disgusting and wholly disappointing. No apology or refund was offered, and since it was prepaid and I'd already given them an appropriate gratuity, I could do nothing more. I'm sorry to say that I cannot and will not recommend them to anyone.
Very nice and carrying staff. Food was above the average experience I had around and all of us 6 was satisfied.

This place has beautifully presented food as well as tasting amazing! It’s a very cute place and I definitely recommend going here!
It was unique and flavorful I got the thai Thai it was so good had so much flavor!
Sehr gutes und preiswertes Essen.
The food here is amazing!!! And the staff is so friendly. We had the chicken wings, egg rolls, and Chang Mai Hi. The wings were perfectly crispy while still being juicy, the egg rolls were nice and crunchy without feeling oily and greasy, and the Chang Mai Hi (or Khao Soi) was very aromatic and flavorful
Not sure how I feel about a curry served only with huge chunky carrots and potatoes. Felt like I was rather having some kind of stew. I don’t know, it wasn’t for me. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, but overall… eh.
Best Thai noodle bowl in town!
อร่อยคั้บ!
Excellent food, service, ambiance, and price I'll be back there soon!
I fully expected to get fried rice and did not.
Chiang Mai Hai is on point.
Love this Thai spot.
Kahp Kuhn khrap!!
The feeling of sitting at a sticky table with glowing windows and the sound of families eating a peaceful supper is surely an unmatchable serenity, provided uniquely in this oasis from the Salt Lake summer sun. There is nothing better than a family-owned restaurant, and perhaps no service better than your mango sticky rice brought in the shaky hands of one of the owners' children. The walk here from my hotel was anxious, but entering and eating was a laminar flow of comfort and familiarity. I do not need to mention the food - I have never been disappointed by a Thai dish.
All told, I recommend this place to you.
Great Thai Food! Everything we ordered was delicious. Period! Great Service!
I came in earlier today and I was nicely welcomed by the staff and they had many options to choose from on their menu. Would definitely recommend.
Best Thai in SLC hands down. Easily. If you have any allergies— their online ordering system lets you check dairy free, nut free, or meat free. YES. Thank you for making people with dietary restrictions seen and heard. I can get a great meal here and avoid foods I can’t have EASILY. If you are vegan or have restrictions, this place is GOLD. Great outdoor patio.
Als Liebhaber der Thai Küche fanden wir unsere drunken noodles ungenießbar. Zerkocht und matschig. Wirklich schade.
One of the best Asian/Thai cuisine in downtown salt lake! I love their drunken noodles!
The food is great and the staff are extremely kind…I would recommend any of their noodle dishes, I personally loved the Drunken noodles and the bangkok boat!
For the portion vs the price you pay, take your money to Laan Na Thai. The best Thai downtown. Drunken chicken noodles are far better over there.
I waited 40 minutes for my food and eventually gave up, went up to the counter and asked for a refund. They weren’t that busy either—I was sitting in an empty restaurant for the last 15 minutes. People who ordered after me got food much sooner.
Looking at other reviews, someone else had this same experience a week ago, so it must be the new normal. It’s too bad, since my visit a year or two ago was much better.
Don’t waste your time.
Both fast, great quality, and nice people. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I wasn't sure what to get, so I got the aptly named "I Don't Know" which turned out great. The Red Curry was also good and spicy, though there could have been more flavor in the sauce.
Ordered my dinner to go so I didn't see the seating area but the front of the restaurant is welcoming and super cute. The staff was friendly.
The red Curry was delicious - rich flavors and the spiciness (hot) was spot on. Parking is limited but like many restaurants located downtown, there is paid parking areas located in very close proximity. Highly recommend trying them.
What a complete waste of time and money!!!!
--- First off there is very limited parking, so not convenient.
--- we order at the counter, then they seat you, you can't seat yourself.
----They also of course have you tip when you place your order, I highly advise against this, because the service is terrible!!!! Once we paid for food and tip, it took them 45 minutes to get our food put to us!!!!! Then on top of that, the order was wrong!!! They didn't care that it was wrong, they didn't care the food came out so late, and on top of that the food didn't even come out together! Some of us got our food WAY before other people at our table! It wasn't great food either, the flavor was quite bland.
----Don't waste your time, go somewhere else!!!
Delicious!!!!!
This is a fantastic place. Feels like authentic food. Delicious curry-like broth with noodles was a winner during a cold winter day. Very casual as you order at the counter and then a waiter brings your order to the table. Reccommended!
Great pace and wonderful food. Everything was some of the best Thai I have had. They call pad Thai "Thai Thai" and that was the best dish we had. Also Thai fried rice, red curry and fresh spring rolls. My only issue with the curry is it had squash in it. But other than that everything was mighty tasty.
Great food I got the Red Curry (3 on thier spice scale). It was excellent although it wasn't very spicy. The egg rolls were also noteworthy. Staff was awesome. Absolutely worth a visit.
So yummy! Authentic, fresh and simple dishes. My husband and I ate the chiang mai hi and designated driver with the chicken satay as an app. Will be coming back!
Everything about this place. I often choose the first or last menu item. Chiang Mai Hi described as a winter soup was the perfect choice in 35 degree Salt Lake City.
The stewed chicken falls off the bone. Perfect amount of chili oil and lime provided. I tried the curry sweet broth before breaking into the chicken leg.
A spoon for your peanut sauce let me insert the sauce where it is needed Inside the Fresh Spring Rolls. These are the salad!
About to take out some sticky rice dish. Don't skip this place.
This is my second time in town and this place is as good as it was the first time! I got the drunken noodles & roti again, it was perfect! I also tried the yellow curry with mild spice and it had a hint of sweetness to it absolutely amazing & the egg rolls, all of it 10/10 I love it!
One of the best Thai restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley. Seating is limited. Great service.
The location is small and understaffed but the food is excellent.
This place is so good! Went for the first time today after wanting to try it out for a while. I had the yellow curry and it was incredible. The atmosphere is cozy and the people working there are friendly. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.
The staff were friendly and the food was delicious, with a laid back atmosphere. The Boat Noodle Soup was incredible; while it seems like Vietnamese pho, it is not. The broth is richer and the flavors were hearty and warming. This is a type of Thai comfort food I’ll be on the lookout for in future travels for sure.
We also got the Masaman Curry which was delicious and packed with flavor.
Although we only tried a couple of things, I don’t think you could go wrong with any options here based on what we had.
Five star recommend, bring your friends! Perfect! Ski. Chili oil heat is good for the heart. Game on
I had the Bangkok boat.
First time here... I read reviews before and one reviewer called their Bangkok boat pho and that's what I wanted so I came. I found out it's not pho at all when I arrived, but I thought I'd try it because I walked here.
The restaurants atmosphere is just right. Soft lighting and interesting table placements along with a bar type table looking out the window. It has a outdoor patio vibe only indoors. Nice.
Service is adequate but not special... mind you they make you order as you walk into to place before sitting down... likely because they do lots of takeout.
The soup... IT IS NOT AND NOTHING LIKE PHO... do not listen to any other reviewer on this matter.
But... this soup is highly highly delicious and satisfying. The broth is sweet and savory all at once and arguably superior in depth of flavor than any Pho ive ever had around North America. I was not disappointed with it at all. If I lived in SLC I'd eat it all the time. For $20 though I ordered it with beef +1$ and for another +2$ they said they'd add extra meat. I thought for the price it should have included more meat than what I got I suppose I'd have to order it without extra meat to see if they just skimp on it or if the order was not communicated properly to the kitchen. Either way for $2 I'm not going to take a star away.
Very good soup... never thought I'd be on a boat lol... but I'm on the Bangkok boat!
Yummy curry. Nice atmosphere. Will come back
We were greeted as we entered. The spring rolls were refreshing, and both the Thai Thai and Designated Driver (drunken noodles) both had deep, fantastic flavor. I would get these dishes again, try more of their food, and recommend this place.
I went to this restaurant three times during my three-day visit to Salt Lake City. The food is delicious, of course, but it's more casual than distinctive, and the friendly staff seems to add a warmth to the space.
The menu has a style of cooking that I haven't seen elsewhere, and the chef's care for the food is evident in every dish. All of the noodle soups surprised me with the right amount of seasoning, harmonious garnishes, and broth flavors that highlighted the ingredients. The spring rolls were also a great appetizer.
The diners here were quiet and enjoyed their meals in peace. Even the staff clearing up after guests was quiet and calm. When you come across a restaurant like this, you realize that it doesn't matter what it looks like or how big it is. It made my stay in Salt Lake memorable.
First off, as soon as you walk in, you're met with the warm aroma of all those Thai spices and curries, man, it smells good. The smells made it hard to choose for me as I came in wanting wok fried noodles, but found it hard to resist ordering the Penang creamy curry. Will have to go back for that, though, as I stuck with my initial thoughts and got the "designated driver" drunken noodles with beef.
You get three options of heat...mild, medium, & hot with a secret 4th "Thai hot". I deferred to regular hot and found it just right for my taste. The noodles themselves were very tasty, and the only reason for 4 stars is there wasn't enough! Although, in their defense, I probably could have eaten a bucket full. But, I still could have done with another scoop or 2 of noodles for the $15, but I'm cheap 😉
Interesting set up where you order at the counter first, but they still set up a table for you first, so that was unique, but it worked fine. Cool place, figuratively and somewhat literally, unfortunately, but I could have asked them to turn on the heat lamp that was hanging from the ceiling.
So a few quirks, but would definitely go again to try the rest of the menu.
Super unique flavor profile unlike other generic Thai food, in my opinion better superrr yummy. And my new favorite fried rice in the city!
Good fun and fun atmosphere
Hidden gem definitely worth a visit! The curry was so flavorful and the Buddha's delight veggie soup was very warm and comforting.
Finally a legit Thai boat noodle soup!!! 10/10 recommend!
Great spot! Thai Thai was Terrific! Atmosphere gets 4 stars because the seating was tight. If that's an issue for you, opt for takeout.
Great food, excellent prices and beautiful place.
Might be the best Thai Yellow Curry I’ve ever had. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the flavors were unbelievable! 10/10 would recommend.
It’s also a duper cute date spot.❤️
Very cool little restaurant, staff was very friendly, service was good, and the food was amazing!
Amazing service Amazing food
Nice cozy place. Exceptional food and rightly priced. This seems family owned.
Very nice portion sizes, would highly recommend. Waitstaff was very polite.
Was not thoroughly impressed with the food. I have definitely had better Thai food. The cream cheese rangoons were good. The Tom Yum not so much, it was half onions, would have appreciated more balance in the dish with tomatoes, mushrooms, and seafood. Maybe pay for the extra protein if you go here, I barely had much seafood in the dish. I also don't appreciate businesses that refuse to accept cash. Will not be going back.
So fresh and such a cute little local spot. We got the pot stickers, vegetable stir fry, & pineapple fried rice. Everything tastes great! Would definitely recommend.
10/10 would recommend. We were searching for a highly recommended Asian food establishment in downtown. We went to one on the other side of the park which had high reviews. Unfortunately it was a small establishment with outdoor seating, which was all taken. We saw Thani was a short walk across the park and decided to give it a shot. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, Bangkok Boat, & Chiang Mai Hi. All dishes were prepared and presented well and had amazing flavor. My wife and I usually stay on script and were going to go with the curry but are big Pho fans and after reading the descriptions, felt like these dishes would be really good. They didn’t disappoint. There is a chicken drumstick in the Chiang Mai Hi as opposed to shredded chicken I am used to in most noodle bowl dishes. The chicken was so tender it fell right off the bone. Drinks seemed to be a little limited but we stuck to water. It was a very tasty meal that we will definitely try again when we visit SLC again.
Food was incredibly amazing. My Designated Driver Noodles were tasteful although a lack of spiciness, but that was my fault, I should have asked for more. Service impeccable
This place is so great!! Clean and delicious great environment wonderful service highly recommend!!!!
Delicious. Absolutely a don't miss in SLC.
Great service, amazing food but not heavy. Best meal of whole trip
Love it ❤️
The best
Great food and service at a good price
And plenty of spice if you want it
Definitely my favorite Thai food spot in SLC! Friendly and always delicious.
Thai Thai with chicken was absolutely amazing. Worth the trip to get here
Love this place! One of the best Thai food spots in SLC. I’ve done lunch, take out, and catering and all was great.
Five stars isn’t enough. I love Thai food, and this was the best I have ever had. It’s a small place and we had a large group with two in wheelchairs, but they were super accommodating! I would almost make the trip back to SLC just to go here, and as someone else mentioned in their review, the Drunken Noodles were amazing!
Good food to try in town
Arrived at 5pm as they opened. The service proved prompt and friendly. We tried three dishes, the designated driver noodles, the massaman curry and the tom yum soup. We highly recommend all three.
Great service. Great atmosphere. The food was amazing as well. Tofu salad rolls and Panang curry were great!
I did not expect to find super good Thai food in SLC, but was pleasantly surprised at Thani bowl. We dropped in while traveling through, otherwise this spot would definitely be a regular for me. The crab Rangoon left a bit to be desired but the pad Thai, pad see ew, and beef noodle soup had great flavor and texture. Also massive bonus/respect points for the Thai grandma in back running the wok and the show 👏 🙌
Everyone in my party thought the food was wonderful. I had the Chinese sausage fried rice which was great. Their Thai tea was sweet but not overwhelmingly so.
Edit to be clear your Thai tea was great.
The food was delicious. I got the Chiang Mai Hi noodles and the curry was super flavorful. The Ovaltine Yen and the Mango Sticky rice were both great as well. The staff was friendly and seemed like they liked working there. The building was cute but it did feel a little quiet for a Saturday evening. Overall, really fun!
Awesome Thai restaurant in SLC. We arrived very late after a long drive and a day of hiking, and this place was right next to our hotel (the Hampton Inn). We got their version of Drunken Noodles and a Massaman curry soup, and both dishes were spectacular. They do have a wine/beer selection, but you must ask for it.
I walked here for lunch one Saturday. It was soon after opening and no crowd. I have no idea why the food was great. Drunken noodles was yummy. You order and go sit down in the enclosed patio type room. The young man served with a smile and the food was fast.
good food and service, a definite must visit!
Delicious! Authentic, great portions for the price, and great service. We’ll be back for sure!
Great place. Love the options & flavor. Mango sticky rice amazing.
10-10 Loved this place, good customer service. Love the feel and the vibe of the restaurant it was also pretty quiet. And super delicious food. Definitely going there again and would really recommend it!!
Best food in town 👍
Love the fried rice
Delicious and authentic. Great food and friendly service. My only complaint is the parking lot is always full at lunch time. I haven't eaten something here I didn't like. There was one time we ordered take out and asked for no onions and I'm pretty sure they put in EXTRA onions. But, nobody's perfect.
My experience with Thani Bowl is always amazing. The staff is so polite every time, the food is absolutely delicious, and it come fast. I love this place very much.
An absolutely incredible find. I would highly recommend stopping here for dinner. The atmosphere is fun and casual. Service is friendly and quick. You walk in and order up front. We had questions about the menu and they were happy to help us order. What an incredible meal. We ordered 3 different plates for two people and wow. The Panang Curry, the chicken wings and the Vegetable beef stir fry. Amazing flavor. I would highly recommend anything with a curry. Best flavor. I will be going here again as soon as possible.
The food is good I've been to a lot of Thai places they have great service good atmosphere so I can just rate the food compared to the other places in salt lake
Excellent experience! I put in a to-go order for 15 people. Thani Bowl got every order correct. They were very helpful and responsive in helping me with my group order. And the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I can't wait to go back again.
This was my first time at Thani Bowl, and I ordered the Goldilocks which was most delicious with shrimp. I really enjoyed the view from the indoor dining. The location is just south of Pioneer Park on the west side of downtown Salt Lake City. There is a very nice atmosphere and setting. I will be back to try some of the other items on the menu.
Sooooooo good
Great atmosphere and awesome food. Very friendly staff. Difficult to make the lunch choice. It all sounds so good.
