Popular neighborhood spot serving an array of traditional fare plus a lunch buffet & bubble teas.
Eaten here twice over the last seven years. Before it wasn't convenient to my residence. Now it's only 2 miles away on same street. Thai Chilli is not overly decorated with Thai ornaments. Good noon crowd of diners in open dining room. Matching tableware of various sizes was nice to display appetizer and entree. Food was delicious. Cheese rolls were Excellent. Best anywhere. BBQ Wings were juicey & tasty. Waitress provided helpful, friendly & efficient service.
First visit here. First it’s so cute and I love that they have an out door patio for eating maybe cool fall nights. I ordered a Thai steak salad, its was so delicious, so flavorful. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was filling and so refreshing. If you are on a bariatric journey, diabetic, keto or just a big back, you will be satisfied. There was a good serving of steak meat. My husband ordered combination Thai fried rice, he said it was really good. The place is very clean and the service was wonderful. Prices are also good, we will be back to visit again!
Very good portions and flavorful entrees; soups and appetizers are also done well. We get takeout from this location often and find the food consistent. The restaurant is a bit utilitarian in atmosphere, but service has been solid when we've eaten there. Parking is fine except when the neighboring bar has a very full house.
We were in the area and decided to stop by for lunch. The restaurant inside is clean and well maintained. The employees were nice and helpful with the menu since it was our first visit. I decided on the tofu pad Thai and my husband chose the shrimp fried rice. We were not disappointed. The pad Thai had good flavor and just the right amount of sauce. My husband truly enjoyed the shrimp fried rice and I have to say he’s picky with his food, so that says a lot. We enjoyed eating and definitely recommend it.
Best Thai food in San Antonio and I’ll arm wrestle anyone who says otherwise. I live in Nashville now but frequented this place when I lived here so every time I’m home I come back. It sounds simple but they do Thai fried rice right. At other places it’s often bland but they season so perfectly it’s hard not to get it every time. The seafood spring rolls for appetizers are an absolute treat!

A regular spot for my husband and I! The spring rolls and fried rice are marvelous! Be sure to order online through the website to do a proper pickup order!
The Thai tea was so tasty but all the food items I ordered which were the pad Thai, mango with sticky rice and fried wings just didn’t hit the flavors were somewhat lacking and the food just didn’t seem fresh. :( I won’t be back!
If you're looking for Thai food in San Antonio Texas, it doesn't get any better.
Love the flavors ♥️
You guys really need to bring back your lunch buffet.
Please.

You can't go wrong with any dish here. The chicken pad thai and pumpkin curry are our family's favorites!
Such a delicious place my favorite is the sesame chicken 🐔
Good food and excellent service. Location and parking was easy too unfortunately, I won’t be back. Almost $18 for lunch and a total of $22 after the tip is ridiculous.
I heard a rumor that this restaurant sold but I found no information to support that. We ordered to go pumpkin curry and drunken noodles, crab Rangoon and dumplings. The food was fantastic, hot, fresh, flavorful! Could not have asked for a better meal. Highly recommend!
Food is always great! Service is good.
They have great lunch specials all week, including the Weekends!!!!
You can always count on flavorful dishes
This was our first visit to Thai Chili. Patrick was our waiter. The service was as good as the food. Excellent! Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back.
Always have a great dining experience although I wish they’d bring back the buffet. Best pumpkin curry ever! 🙂
Always great food and service
Our favorite Thai place so far. 1 less star at the Atmosphere, cause the place feels really cold. Could be a bit more effort with the ambience.
HONESTLY... So obsessed with the food! SO CUTE
Good is great and the service is excellent even though they were short handed.
Clean and tasty food and top notch service! Anthony was super helpful and attentive - would come back here just because of him!!!
My husband, children, and I are regulars here. Started coming here in 2022, and we make sure to visit once a week since our first visit. Patrick is INCREDIBLE! We love walking in and seeing him because he's always happy, he always recognizes our family, and he's attentive ❤️ The food is to die for and always fresh! Large portions too! My favorite dish is the Thai Sesame Chicken 🤤 the portions are so big, I get to enjoy leftovers, which I love. The atmosphere is tranquil, perfect for family meals. Enjoy!
Good Pad Thai and great service
Only reason for 3 star on atmosphere is that it's not meant to be a 4-5 star. Nothing wrong with it, just more of a casual dining place.
Went there for a Saturday lunch and really liked it. They have a Saturday lunch special for $16, and it is very good. The food was excellent, as was the service. Plan on going back there again
We arrived for a birthday dinner and would have spent quite a lot. We were a few minutes early for the daily specials which included soup and an eggroll not a big deal but the fact we have been customers for over 20 years and they refused us that and said we could pay an extra four dollars because we had to wait 15 minutes. I just found it horrible customer service we got up and left. Unfortunately, there are a lot of options. They will not be one of ours in the future.
Love this place , I used to go here several times a week with my coworkers but not since they got rid of the buffet. They need to bring it back.
The only reason it was five stars for food was because I still have yet to find a place that makes red curry better than my previous Thai restaurant. It was still great red curry. The servers were attentive and polite.
Be careful with the hot ( burn ) whew
Luv my B3 , and the soups and the employees
Bring back the bbq pork. My favorite item on the quick to go and has bee gone a whole. I haven't been back since and miss it.

Are you curryous? Well the curry here will scratch that itch. Yummy!
It’s like a fast food joint turned Thai restaurant. I had lunch #11, Thai roast beef with steamed rice that tasted like it was steamed with dirty dishwater. Add the fact that it was not hot and I may have a case of food poisoning to round it out. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the service was adequate. Worst Thai around. You can swing a cat and hit a better Thai restaurant.
I like hot food. But I'm glad I got the moderately hot. I was able to enjoy my delicious lunch without a quart of milk and a fan.🥵 😁🙃
Heard about from a neighbor so buzzed in at noon today. Seated right away. Wait lady was great. Meal was good. I loved sauce on veggies and enough for the rice too. The appetizer plate was cute and appetizers really good too. This is definitely a you'll go back place
Good Thai food. I could take the Medium heat 🔥 for one of their many delicious lunch specials!!
Always a great experience and the food is amazing
We were in the area and stopped by for lunch. I was very disappointed in the food. Me and my boyfriend got pad thai and it tasted extremely weird. The only way to describe it was the fact that it tasted like a used mall mop. Extremely bland and weird. My diet coke tasted off, and my water tasted really weird as well. I had to ask for different water multiple times. I also called and asked for a refund and they did not give it to me. I understand that I would need to bring the food back but we were stopping by the area and I don’t live in San Antonio. I would not get the pad thai here, and I wont be returning.
Tom kha soup is amazing
Family owned and operated. Yummy, clean, and friendly.
Great Thai food. Best pad thai I've had in years.
Very bad with the food. Ordered with spicy level 10 but they gave the spicy level 1 with more salt. May be they added the salt with level 10 and spicy level with level 1 which is very bad.
When I checked, the chef replied that they added spicy level 10 which is wrong. The Chef and the staffs answered just like that without any responsibility.
Please do not prefer this restaurant at any cost. Very very worst.
Awesome food.
Friendly staff and delicious food!
They charge $14 for crab fried rice, but where’s the crab!? There was no crab in the rice, none, not even crab flavored, just mediocre/overly peppery fried rice was all it was. Everything else that was ordered was really good & no complaints.
But if you’re going to charge $14 for “crab” fried rice, the expectation is that it’ll actually have crab in it!
Excellent taste and quality 👌
all I get here is the salad yum Nur, medium spicey.
comes with white rice but i never get it. I'm on a keto diet and is not allowed. they give you plenty enough to feel full. i eat here at least twice a month.
Sometimes, it's nice to be reminded there is still hope in this world. The flavor was amazing, the portions were daunting, and the service was irreprehensible. Being a Crab Rangoon addict, I was quite delighted with their dish.
Pretty good Pad Tai here. The eggrolls and rangoons were delicious. The restaurant was almost empty (a weekday at lunchtime) and food took a while to come out but to be fair tasted fresh.
I found this restaurant while waiting for my car to be serviced at Pep Boys on Thousand Oaks. I am so happy I decided to try it! The Pumpkin Curry was so delicious! I highly recommend. The waiter was the nicest. I went on a Saturday around 5:30pm and it wasn't crowded. The food came out in a timely manner.
Walked into the restaurant. There was only three tables full. Was seated, looked over menu for about eight minutes. Wasn’t even approached by a server to see what I wanted to drink. I finally got up to go to the host stand and I can see inside the kitchen and there were four wait staff standing around eating. I stood there for a good three minutes and they were still eating and talking. I will never go there again. I walked out. If they can’t even provide good service when they are completely not busy, what does it look like when they are busy?
Very nice Thai restaurant. Very friendly staff. The food is fresh with very clean flavors. I will certainly be back!
The food was always good but now it's just never spicy. I ordered a level 10 stir fry and it not spicier than whataburger ketchup. If the chili came back to thai chili I'd tear it up and give it 5 stars. I'll have to find another place
waited for 20 minutes at the togo counter. several employees made eye contact with us and walked the other direction. left with nothing
Thai food is not my fav.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant. Period.
I used to eat here all the time, but moved to Austin.
I drive through San Antonio multiple times a year and if Thai Chili is open, I always place a large order to go.
I dont even need a menu anymore.
I sometimes alternate between my two favorite dishes... sometimes I get both! #59 - the fried noodles, or the pineapple fried rice.
Also, you must have the fried spring rolls.
Chef Chai is amazing. I eat here as often as I possibly can.
Thai Chili: A Gastronomic DelightMy latest culinary adventure took me to the delightful Thai Chili, a gem that truly encapsulates the essence of Thai cuisine. The experience was nothing short of exquisite, beginning with their summer rolls. These delicately wrapped treasures were a harmonious blend of succulent shrimp and tender vermicelli, each bite transporting me to a world of vibrant flavors. The accompanying peanut sauce was the perfect cohort, its creamy texture and rich taste elevating the rolls to a new level of deliciousness. The Thai fried rice with combo meat was a testament to the chef's prowess. Each grain of rice was perfectly seasoned and expertly mingled with an assortment of meats, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. The dish was a perfect balance of savory and aromatic, a true masterpiece of Thai cooking. And let's not forget the Thai iced coffee. This was not just a beverage, but a divine concoction that provided a refreshing and invigorating end to the meal. Its robust coffee flavor, coupled with just the right amount of sweetness, made it a fantastic choice. In summary, Thai Chili is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic and delectable Thai cuisine. The restaurant excels not only in the quality of its food but also in presenting a culinary journey that delights the senses. A definite five-star experience!
I used to love coming to this restaurant during Thanksgiving break but this time...3 adults and 2 kids and they made a mandatory 20% tip yet the service was subpar at best. Bless the man's heart for trying to maintain the service but he was overwhelmed. The worst part us that 1 of the meals came out semi warm to the point my father wouldn't eat it.
HOW CAN YOU MANDATE A 20% TIP?!!!!
Fab food and service
Service has gone downhill. Staff seems distressed. The food is still incredible!
Very clean, the food was excellent and the service was great it was my first time here I'll definitely be back
Great food and you get a lot for the price! Wasn’t a fan of Thai food until I tried Thai Chili. Always wonderful service
Great food
Food ok, but waitress unattentive, not friendly at all, was just there.
Great service and the most authentic Thai food in the city. Definitely worth the trip.
Best spot in texas
I have been ordering pad thai from Thai Chilli the same exact way for YEARS. No egg, no sauce. Today, for the first time since 2013, my tofu was burnt and it caused the whole dish to taste burnt. I called to let them know and the lady I talked to tried blaming me. “It’s because you ordered it with no egg.” She told me in order for them to make me a new one, I have to take this order back. As if I want to drive all the way back over there, show them that I’m not lying, and then wait another 20 minutes for them to make me a new one. To make matters worse, I was told in order to receive a refund, I’d have to go through the website that I placed my order through. Surprise, surprise, there is no option anywhere to contact anybody about a refund. I didn’t even get so much as an apology. This place has been going downhill for a while now but I still supported it. Last straw for me. Way to lose a loyal customer of 10+ years.
I rarely leave bad reviews unless I truly feel people shouldn’t visit a place. This is not one of those reviews.
I moved to the area a little over a year ago and ate here and it was awful. Pad Thai was just dry over-cooked noodles with some dry chicken in it. Everything I ordered was dry and bland and awful. I tried several times afterwards with this place and eventually gave up.
Wife was craving Thai today and didn’t want to drive a long way. Wife is boss so we ordered from here again. It was amazing. They clearly have a new chef. Chicken Pad Thai was packed with flavor and juicy and the chicken and shrimp green curry with white rice was so tasty.
So happy they fixed their menu. We’ll be back often.
Spicy basil fried rice was really good. I’ll have to check out other stuff on the menu later
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 6 stars to the team cooking tonight (23 Aug). Every single thing we ordered was perfect. The spring rolls and dumplings were perfectly crisp. The Phad Se-ew, Phad Thai, and Phad Khee Mao were perfectly cooked and spiced (Thai hot). The Thai hot seasoning was a delicious heat. You could really taste the different spices used.
And this was a delivery order 😳 It arrived still too hot to eat right away. Phenomenal meal. Thank you.
We were really disappointed with our first visit back to Thai Chili since moving back to San Antonio. We were regulars before the pandemic, and then we ended up moving away for a while. Now we are back in the neighborhood and we were happy to go back. What a disappointment.
The appetizers were average. While served hot, they were definitely prepackaged spring rolls and crab rangoon. And the entrees, Thai Chili Sesame Chicken and Pad Thai, were below average. The chicken was overcooked and the noodles were undercooked with the Pad Thai.
The service was quite good, and so were the drinks, so it wasn't a completely terrible experience, but it's certainly not what we were used to.
The last straw was getting home and noticing a 95 cent credit card surcharge on my receipt. Wow; really? Since when do you charge customers for the privilege of using their credit cards?
Not going back.
Delicious food, great service--a real gem!
The food here is always awesome! The service is great too. Thank you, Glenda for taking care of us!
Amazing Thai food with fast friendly service.
love their pad thai
The food and service was okay. I didn’t feel like my dish which was the seafood veggie plate with garlic sauce had a lot of flavor and the seafood was a bit chewy. They did give giant portions for the Pad Thai. Their sweet and sour soup was extremely powerful with the lemon flavor.
WOW! 🤩 Amazing food every time we come here. Y'all need to come eat here. You will not be disappointed! Excellent foods, prices & customer service. 🥳
Food was fantastic.
Waitress was very distracted doing side work. Was a chore to get tea refills. With their iced tea at $4.00 a glass I expected good tea service lol lol . It’s quite possibly the most expensive run of the mill tea in San Antonio. Lol
Only two other tables there so wasn’t over sat.
Wish they would bring back lunch buffet.
I really liked this place. Our big group showed up without calling.
They put tables together for us, and were very accommodating
The food's well priced for how much you get, I got the red curry it was good.
They put the tip in automatically for our group so don't double tip on accident. Unless you want to.
Bonus: They have thai tea and boba :)
Not bad.
Food is cooked well and is nicely proportioned..
Our favorite go-to local eatery! We are blessed to have it around the corner. Courteous and consistent staff! The food is always fresh and delicious in generously portions!
We were in the area and decided to stop by for lunch. The restaurant inside is clean and well maintained. The employees were nice and helpful with the menu since it was our first visit. Food was perfect! 💯💯💯💯💯
Update: things have improved. The first was more flavorful, and the staff was friendly.
Thaish. It was very slow, but it was basically steamed meat and veg covered in a sauce for each dish. Could be worse I guess
Squid 🐙 amazing coconut 🥥 ice cream fabulous
Good food nice people
Delicious, who cares about the price.
We had a party of 28 for a graduation dinner. The service was great! Food was great!
Best Thai selection! Affordable!
First time being there. I couldn't pronounce the dishes but I read the ingredients and that's how I decided what to order. It was really good. Service was awesome as well. Definitely will be going back.
Best Thai food in town! Yum!
Love this place my wife and i eat here often.
Food is always good and they have gluten free options for my wife.
Consistent and tasty, years later...same. Awesome job!
Great food ! Great service !
The food is Great! I had chicken pad thai. My grandson had number 57...sooo good! I'm having that next time.
Went in for the first time, was so good. Had Phad Thai noodles was good. Had fried wings crispy good. My daughter had fried rice with chicken, onions, peas, carrots, tomatos and lime, that was really good. Will have that next time.
Well, I came back and had the fried rice with shrimp, so good and delicious.
Our favorite Thai restaurant! Hands down nowhere else even comes close. Authentic food that is always delicious. Always have excellent service. My family and I simply love this place ❤️
Always delicious food! Though, this visit, it was extremely warm inside. Like the AC wasn't on. We opted to sit outside and dine in the 100 degree weather. Awesome service otherwise!
I have been coming here for years and always enjoy the food from here. They also stayed late for me to pick up my order 5 minutes after closing which was so helpful and thoughtful. The food is always fantastic as well
Ouch, it was pricey. But the food is excellent. Despite my previous feelings it...yeah it was worth it.
I've been curious about this restaurant for a minute and wanted to scope it out before i brought my none dairy best friend. They have a lot of vegan choices for those who can't just eat anywhere. So we'll definitely be back.
Thank yall for the experience today. Yall made a very fast and hectic work day and late lunch peaceful for a moment.
The salmon tasted great alone with the veggies and with the curry and rice.
The fried Rangoons were interestingly crispy. They were crunchy. I've never come across them fried this way, but I dug it.
My #1 lunch spot!!
Food is decent but service is HORRENDOUS. We ordered the lunch special that comes with a soup, crab Rangoon and spring roll. I have a severe seafood allergy and asked for another soup instead. The server brought one soup which I finished and my husband and I asked for another one (thinking she forgot) and she said they just put it in a larger bowl and that that was the “additional” soup. They refused to give us another soup unless we paid for another one (they are so tiny, not more than half cup).
Honestly it isn't a bother that the atmosphere is generic, the food would overshadow it anyway and you won't even remember the walls.
Food was very good, but we waited a long time for it. They appear to be somewhat understaffed. It’s a nice venue though and very nice servers
I love this place. The food is always good and always hot! The young lady who works the takeout orders is so awesome!! I think her name is Staci. Always has a smile and very helpful.
My go-to is the matsuman (sp?) Curry happy hour meal special! So tasty, and the Tom yum soup that comes with it is delicious as well. The special comes with the curry, rice, cup of soup, a crab Rangoon and a little egg roll. I usually have to save the rest of the curry for later. The soup is consistent, and there is always a small mushroom and a piece of chicken. The flavor is vibrant lemon. I also like to get the pad Thai special. I like that with their dishes you can specify how spicy you like from 1-10.
By far the best tai restaurant in San Antonio!
If you like Spicy this is the place for you. They will make it as hot as you want it. For example, although it’s on a scale of 1-10, you could ask for a 20,40,50, whatever you want!
The lunch special is such a good deal. On top of your meal you get a spring roll and a Rangoon. All for a affordable price.
Didn’t have to wait long at all. It’s easy to tell that the food is authentic and that it’s made with love.
always love Thai chili. Great food, good service
Food was great. Had great vegan options. Restaurant was pretty empty when we got there, but it filled up quick. I would recommend trying the vegetable fried rice for an alternative to anything with meat. The mango Boba is also really good. Workers were really nice and helpful, and I would really recommend eating here.
One of my favor.places. Whenever I am in SA I try to swing by
Very casual atmosphere. Food is consistently good. Service can be slow when busy.
Excellent pad ke mao
By far one of the worse experiences I’ve ever had. Took my family out for a family dinner and my sisters food came out cold. My sister politely addressed it and sent the food back. Moments later a woman comes out and tells my sister, “don’t order food if you’re already full and you’re not going to eat it.” (Mind you we hadn’t eaten dinner so we were all hungry). After a brief and awkwardly rude exchange the lady left and said she would remove the item. Moments later the ladies husband and OWNER comes out and literally tells us he would remember who we are and never serve us again and that we insulted him by telling him the food was cold. He also added that we are wasting his merchandise and we were trying to eat a free meal. I politely told him, sir I’m getting ready to pay you $100.00 and had one complaint about one dish. He then walked away. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER AND TERRIBLE OWNERSHIP!
We love this place! It is consistently good
No buffet anymore. Google a liar!
Huge portions, very very well prepared and good prices. This was first visit but it will not be my last.
Not what i expected
Nothing to brag about
Best consistent Thai in all of SA. Don't know what you want? Explain that to your server and they will guide you to the dish of your dreams.
The food was great.Cooked fresh, the chicken wings 😋. The staff was prompt and professional. I will be Back.
