Cozy Thai bistro offering build-your-own noodle dishes, curries & other classics, plus beer & wine.
I don’t know what those people who only gave 1 star were thinking. This place is great! Sorry no photos of the food—we gobbled it up. The Tom Kai soup was delicious & flavorful as were the drunken noodles. We are here on Valentines Day & the place is decked out with balloons. Warm ambiance, great service & food. I’m a water snob and appreciate that the water tastes like spring water NOT tap water. The price is comparable to other Thai places we’ve eaten. We would come again.
We were greeted by a nice and attentive guy as soon as we went inside. We decided to order Crab Cheese Wonton and Thai Curry Dumplings. We loved it. My husband wanted to try the Tom Khai Soup 🍲 and we shared Yellow Curry and Beef Stir Fried with Garlic. Food was amazing, very good portions if you want to share. Great service.
Delicious food and excellent service! The short rib, which is currently on special, is fantastic, and the salmon curry is another must-try. The atmosphere is great, with cool Thai music playing every time. Fahim, our server, is always friendly and attentive—he even remembers my usual order, which adds a personal touch to the experience. Highly recommend!
I love this place. I order from here ALL the time. I got an order of pad Thai late tonight (after their dining area closes and they just do takeout), and I am literally just writing this review to say it’s the best I’ve ever had. And the presentation was extra special this time! Thank you, Siam Orchid!
Ordered late night takeout from this restaurant. It seems they close the dining room and go to online takeout only after a certain time. But I arrived and my order was ready, made exactly as requested.
The portion size was generous and the flavor was excellent. The spice was just right as well. I requested extra chicken and they loaded it up!
I like that they are open later than most places for takeout. It was worth the longer drive for some good Thai food.

This place is such a good little hole in the wall restaurant! The food is amazing and the server was fantastic. I got the massaman curry and the waiter was so nice to make sure the kitchen made it less spicy for me. They even followed up afterwards and asked if it was still too spicy. I don’t have any pictures to share sadly, my husband and I absolutely cleaned our plates.
We will definitely be back too. Delicious food, quiet, clean, and very friendly staff!
I won't eat here twice. It's OK if you need a quick thai food fix. It's OK. Not somewhere I'd take a date.
The best Tohom soup ever
Siam orchid is accommodating for my celiac girlfriend and they provide amazing food at a good price! Support a local business!
OMGGG the curry puffs & cucumber sauce are to die for. More than exceeded my expectations. Spicy tofu stir fry is also AMAZING! Thank you so much ❣️

Large serving sizes, friendly wait staff, attentive service, great food.
Best Thai food in SLC!!

One of our go-tos for Thai takeout (although we have enjoyed eating in the restaurant as well). I don't eat beef or chicken, but am very happy with the tofu dishes, especially the ones with Thai basil.

Sooo good!!! The owner Dow came in and chatted with us, she was so awesome and really brightened our day🤩. Loved her and the restaurant:)
Love their green papaya salad!
Always consistent and delicious
The food was good but a bit expensive overall 6.5/10. Service was wonderful.
Really healthy and good food w a lot of veggies. Service was excellent as well.
Read the reviews thought it would be okay. The service was fine, nothing outstanding. Food was mediocre. There was more flies than customers, I only ate half of my food due to all the flies landing on it. I expect flies if we were dining outside but this was inside. I can only imagine how many are in the kitchen. The restroom was out of toilet paper and if you have limited ability good luck getting thru the narrow walkway to access it.
I wish the owners much luck but they need to do better to earn customers hard earned money.
Great service and price. Yummy food.
Good food and good service
I haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but their panang curry and their tom kha soup are some of my favorites in the valley. I also love their mango sticky rice. Everything is always really fresh-- fresh vegetables, fresh thai basil, perfect mangoes.:) I usually get everything with the tofu and it's so good too. Service is always great.
The service are really good and they are so so so nice. The food is the best of the world I never taste anything this good before.
Siam Orchid is one of our family favorites, good prices for 7 mouths, the curry is amazing and they have some of the best crab cheese wantons in SLC. Excellent service, theyre always fast and employees very friendly.

Delicious!
Excellent Thai food - and this is from a Californian! We haven’t been able to find tasty thai on our visits to Utah until we found Siam Orchid. So happy to have stumbled upon it!
First time going yesterday. It was delicious I just loved it. Their cream cheese and crab wontons were to die for.
Don’t bother going in. It’s a Uber eats geared place and seated customers are treated secondary to the orders coming. Got day old rice not to mention they screwed our order up in a completely bizarre way. Took us 10 mins to get service, food took 20 mins to come out, order was wrong, rice was clearly day old (or god forbid more) and the whole time Uber eats drivers are sitting there playing music or you tube or something on their phones out loud. Horrible experience
I got panang curry today the best panang curry
Excellent, interesting menu, very friendly, and attentive staff, reasonable prices.
Ordered delivery. Their pad see ew was way way too salty! I couldn't finish more than a few bites
Excellent food and service
My favorite Thai place in the valley. Dow, the owner, is the sweetest and the staff rocks. The food is just beyond amazing. I take everyone here and go like 2-3 times a month 😂 I always get the pad Thai or yellow curry. The Siam orchid salmon is really good too, and the mango rice is addictive !
Great service and awesome food
If you enjoy explosive diarrhea and stabbing pains in your stomach for 24-48 hrs., order from here.
Excellent food! Possibly the best thai food we've had. Six of us went here after skiing. One dish was better than the next.
This place is one of our favorites. Been coming here 6 years and always order the Tom kha coconut soup with chicken and vegetable pad thai. NEVER disappoints. Thank you ♡
Love this local hidden gem. The drunken noodles are my favorite along with the Tom kha soup
Ordered delivery. Asked for both dishes to be a 3/10 spice. They were both closer to an 8 or 9/10 - totally inedible. We’ve spent time in Thailand and are familiar with the spice of the food. Called them and they basically said ‘not our problem’ so we spent $60 on food we couldn’t eat and had to order from somewhere else. They also didn’t include any utensils or napkins and we’re at a hotel.
Thai is my favorite kind of food. Tonight I wanted to try something new.. I was met by a kick in the face. Their mild is most certainly not mild by any means. If you are sensitive to spice, I’d recommend going elsewhere.
Prior to this experience I never really had a problem with Siam Orchid Thai Restaurant, I ordered a Panang Curry, Medium spiciness, after eating about 3/4 of the dish I felt violently Ill, sadly this caused me to have to run to the bathroom and quite aggressively purge my stomach of the meal I was previously eating. the dish was quite spicy, more so than the "Medium" I had ordered, perhaps that is why I did not notice but after clearing myself of the curry I noticed the distinct flavor of detergent in my mouth.
I did call the restaurant to let them know that perhaps they may want to make certain their containers are properly rinsed and sanitized so no one else get's sick.
For what they charge for their dishes it was a pretty spendy lesson as they offered no compensation for their mistake, I certainly will not be dining with them again.
😍
A hidden gem.
Honestly I was so disappointed in my order. The Pad Thai and Panang curry was extremely bland and the chicken Larb was not only bland but was waay over priced for the amount I got. I paid $17 for a third of the serving size. The rice could have been on the outside of the box.
My husband and I discovered this place a few weeks ago, and we love it! Their food feels homemade and always tastes amazing. They have also always been kind to us there. Highly recommend.
The red curry was unreal, reminded me of the curry I used to eat growing up.
The food has been consistently solid; however, the portion size has decreased, and the price has increased. I'm confused as to why a bowl of soup costs $17 usd.
Truly enjoyed our meals! Thank you for the delicious flavors. Even my two year old ate all her orange chicken. I can’t wait to eat the leftovers.
That day I was in a rush so I simply ate something quick. But it was good and fast.
This is my favorite Thai place in Utah. They have amazing curries, fast service, and you never wait for a table. We come every year on Valentines because it’s never crowded. I highly recommend this place.
This little hole in the wall will leave you stuffed to capacity and extremely satisfied!! The BEST Orange chicken I have ever ate! The coconut shrimp were delectable and I ordered the drunken noodles for my main course AMAZING! The owner Dow has the best hospitality and had my whole group laughing. What a memorable experience!
It was good place to eat. The Drunken Chicken Noodles were the favorite. The Massaman Curry was good too. Our daughter liked the pad Thai noodles but I never tried them. There were 4 of us with entress, one soda (Coke products), dessert and a tip was close to $100. We would go back if we were in that area again.
OVERPRICED $$$$$.. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken. I added zucchini. I got it med spice. But asked for pepper side because i was worried it wouldb bland. It was bland! The worst was it was so watery. Thinner than water. I tried to take a photo of how thin my yellow curry was. There were no spices in it. The carrots ŵere thin little slices barely any. A few zucchini. Chicken was flavor less. Way too overpriced. curry should be like a comfort food. This was watered down water.
They gave me a side of chilli pepper spice. It smelled so bad like some old pizzeria. It was awful. I Did not use it! Thai Time Resteraunt chef Sprite makes there own chili pepper thai spices in her resteraunt that smells so good and tastes so good you can tell it was just made fresh. My husband got massaman curry with beef. His beef was so tough you couldn't chew it and break it down. His was worse than mine. He barely ate. I found out this morning my husband got sick from his dinner. He was up all night throwing up. The worst part was without a tip for take out and just 2 curry dishes. 41.75 without a tip. Seriously. No joke. It's $$$$$$ So in my fridge is left overs because we could barely eat our dinner. Throw it out I guess tdy... we only went here because Thai Time was closed sun and Monday. They are the best Thai resteraunt in Salt Lake City hands down! I love there food. They're was nobody eating at Siam Orchid
. It was dead. And my food was cold and took 25 min to make and resteraunt was empty. Never again...EVER. ID RATHER EAT P B AND J!
This place blows me away with how delicious their food is an the dish I had today was the Avocado Curry and the appetizer was the Sweat potato Puffs. Anyone who loves Thai food should really check this place out! You won't regret it! :D
I’m upset because I ordered a Grubhub from this restaurant and my Panang Curry came way too spicy! I ordered mild but it came extremely spicy.
Vicky was excellent! I came with pain and left feeling relaxed and pain free. Highly recommend it!
Beautiful atmosphere. Relaxing and friendly. Make sure to visit if you're in need of a massage. They were awesome.
I always have the best massages here. Literally go here!
Ordered Uber eats for this place, there was a misunderstanding due to the information on Ubers website on what I thought I was ordering. The restaurant wrote me a note making me aware of the issue and how to avoid it in the future and honored what I thought I was getting without talking to me. They took the initiative to make a customer happy even though I messed up! Food was delicious :)
Overall great food and a spot I have come to 3 or 4 times. Unfortunately I feel like my last 2 visits there is a noticeable decline in building maintenance and service.
My favorite place!!
Not good. They make their food very Americanized, which absolutely ruins the Thai flavors and spiceyness.
Moved to the area two years ago and tried this place. It was nearby so I tried it. Flavors were great. For some reason, however, they have decided that they are the best in the state and raised their prices accordingly. Their prices are way too high now, and I'm not so hooked on them that I'm willing to pay for their inflated egos and bloated prices. There are other Thai restaurants nearby that are just as good and much cheaper.
Satay came with no sauces. The Mango Rice was a tough ball of rice with a few slivers of mango and was not happy with the soup. 34.00 is way too much money for what I got.
No longer what it used to be.
Lunch meals used to consist of two options, now it's only one, a small change but the experience of eating there is not longer the same.
This place is delicious and I love that they are open late! My favorite item is the fresh rolls.
We came here for a friends birthday. It was perfect. We were actually the only ones eating in. But we got top treatment from the owner Dow! So funny! Comped us appetizers, helped us with shots of saki. Was seriously so much fun! You’ve got to come see this place. The massaman curry was so delicious I ate the whole thing! She then surprised us with a birthday surprise for our friend.
Would’ve had a better review if they let me try the food and not turn us around at 836pm:)
This place is amazing! The food was so good, especially the Massaman noodles. The server was kind and made the night fun for our group! Will definitely make this a regular place I go.
Delicious food! Fast service! Will come again!
I’ll update this if the food is absolutely amazing. But this place charges a fee to place your order online, or a fee to place the order in store. It’s worn down, no bathrooms, they sell knockoff ski helmets on the tables instead of letting you eat here? The only thing nice is the hours….
Food isn’t bad but the pad Thai was beyond basic and it’s not worth the price imo.
CONSISTENTLY soo good!! open late, fast and super tasty. I crave their Pumpkin curry at least once a week.
Tiny portion sizes. Okay taste for the pad Thai. Paid $11 for a small to go box of calamari. Had higher hopes.
I’ve been coming here for takeout and dine in for years. One of the best Thai restaurants in the valley. Our server told us to try the fresh rolls and they were delicious. Both dipping sauces were great. I could have eaten the peanut sauce with a spoon. My drunken noodles were delicious and you could tell they put love into their cooking here. You absolutely have to get the mango sticky rice though. I literally crave this and I can’t even come close to reproducing it at home.
Great service, good food, and friendly atmosphere.
literally ordered twice in one night because their food is so good! sooo yummy thank you for the meal <3
Ordered from Siam Orchid tonight using Door Dash for delivery. The masaman curry and drunken noodles had almost no flavor and both arrived ice cold. Thai food not having any flavor seems like something that would be hard to achieve, like you’d deliberately have to work to not develop flavor. The only redemption was the crab wontons which were great. The amount of noodles in the drunken noodles was very small and not worth even half of the $16 they charged for the dish.
Edit: there was also a hair in the curry. A blonde hair. None of the people who live in my house are blonde.
Great for gluten free, never had an issue!!
This place used to be amazing! As the years go by, it gets worse and worse. I’m officially done ordering from them. I ordered a curry and noodle dish for take out, tonight…. Well the curry I ordered was soup. The drunken noodles I ordered we dry and old. Literally the noodles were dry, drunken noodles usually are drenched in a sauce. I couldn’t eat the food. The taste was awful. The curry had no flavor, like they had watered it down, thus explains why it was a soup and not a curry. I can’t believe this, especially for the prices they charge you for the dishes and for delivery. Don’t waste your money on a restaurant that overcharges you and obviously cuts corners on the food they sale you.
Personally, I love the Drunken Noodles here. It's my standard.
Probably the best Thai food in slc. The drunken noodles are a must try
Best kept secret in Murray if you enjoy Thai food. The coconut soup was awesome and they offer a large variety of foods all with a vegetarian option.
It's a perfect choice if you have both carnivores and vegans in your group.
Unfortunately this was the worst ripoff I've had in recent memory. This is not an honest business. My rolls were...iceberg lettuce mix and a couple pieces of shrimp? The servers were nice, but this is an embarrassment of a business if this is an accurate sample of their dishes and I really feel as if my money was stolen. I would avoid this place at all costs.
I have been a Siam Orchid customer for MANY years. I can assure you no matter what you order, it is all delicious!
Best 🇹🇭 Thai food in town!
Wonderful service!
Everything here has been excellent
Good food and service. A bit over priced for the portion.
The red curry was fabulous.
They charged me almost $20 for a single small order of pumpkin curry. Then they tacked on 2.5 percent because I paid with a credit card and I had to wait over a half hour to get it. Ha ha. Yeah. I won’t be back and I’ll be praying that they go out of business.
Great Thai
Great hidden gem!
I ordered Garlic StirFry, it had a great roasted garlic flavor. My partner ordered the Hot&Sour Soup. It wasnt what he was expecting but was presently surprised by its flavor. We also ordered the Fresh Rolls and they were pretty good. The peanut sauce was a little ordinary but otherwise really tasty!
Yummy yummy yummy. You have to try the chicken wings
Mid
This was a delicious soup. But not what I ordered by any stretch. I ordered the coconut soup, (can't remember what it's called) with chicken and tofu. This is not that. I only recieved tofu. I'm giving three stars because by the time I returned to my airbnb, I didn't care. Just drove 32 hours from back east and needed some real food instead of greasy chain drive-thru garbage. But if I got this tomorrow, I would have taken it back, instead I ate it and I was good.
The food is so good. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been amazing. Take out is always a good option, but dine in and you get to enjoy everything to the fullest. 10/10 recommend!
This place is seriously awesome. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but on the inside it’s super nice and clean. The food is always good, I live around the corner and regular this spot and it kills me that they aren’t busier. I get take out all the time, portions are huge and prices are good. Seriously, try this place. Great people and great food.
Could be spicier, but to be fair adequate spice is hard to find in the valley.
The best Thai food in Utah !!!
Pad Thai so good
Good service and food delicouis
loving the drunken noodle
best one so far
The thai food from this restaurant is so good.
Everything is so good, amazing Thailand
I came to this places to get some food! And was very excited to Give then a try. When I received my order I went home. I was so disappointed and how bad the tasted and the fact of how expensive was.. I will never comeback my even got sick for a few days and he only had one bite of the food.
Hands down best Thia food in the area. The Tam kha is so good. All the curry is amazing, drunken noodles are amazing.
Their iced tea and Thia ice coffee is amazing. Love this place. Good prices too.
Very good food.
Yummy curries and coconut soup!
The food was good with a nice atmosphere. Prices were a little bit high.
I ordered hot and spicy pad thai, and let me tell you, the chef wasn't playing around like some of the Thai chefs in the South and in Alaska. Be ready for your mouth and rear end to be on fire. Totally worth it . . .
We ordered orange chicken and it didn't come with any rice and the lettuce for the lettuce wraps was inedible, it was cut so small that you couldn't put any chicken on it and impossible to "wrap"
Doordash order was cancelled with no explanation.
Great food, fast and friendly service, readonably priced, plenty parking. Definitely recommend.
Updates your hours online. You lose business when people plan their afternoon around availability listed online only to find different hours at the physical location.
Yellow curry chicken take out was delicious!
Food is really good. They really undercut the spice if they don't think you can handle it. But you can ask for more. And it is a bit on the expensive side. Still loved it though!
More than 10 years since last time visit. Great lunch food. Good service.
Nice food
This is not a restaurant, this is a scam.
The food and portions are as deceitful as a carnival game booth.
Their jasmine rice is very little of actual jasmine. They mix a small portion with your typical basic long grain. In other words… it tasted like minute rice and it was so diluted you can’t even smell the jasmine.
The curry was served in small bowls with large flat lips/rims to give the illusion this is a big bowl. Vegetables overcooked and diced in excessively large portions to “fill out” the food.
Soda machine broken, iced thai tea is confirmed to be the bottle kind you can buy at asian market. Lunch specials suspended.
Service was atrocious. Our waitress took 15 minutes to get to us while we were literally the only table in the whole restaurant. She was talking on her friend via AirPod the entire time.
There is a mandatory service charge added to every order.
I feel ashamed for tipping so poorly but, I figured if this is the most expensive Thai restaurant in Utah using the cheapest ingredients and skimping out on the ingredients they could use the money saved as a tip.
There isn’t anything this establishment can do to win back my service. Channon Thai Cafe and Chabaar are cheaper and far superior.
Never again, this was offensively awful.
They get very busy around lunch time. My pad thai was very very bland (would not recommend that what-so-ever), but the cream cheese wontons were some of the best I have ever had.
Ordered this for my work lunch yesterday. Very yummy! I loved the wontons and the basil chicken, :( they forgot my massaman curry with my lunch combo, but it ended up being okay because I was so stuffed from everything else! Will return.
The employees and the food was really good. My father and I came here today and our waiter was really kind he was a bit quiet but was very nice. This is probably one of the best Thai food places in Utah.
Food is ok. . . But it takes so long and the staff are very unfriendly and impolite. I'd offer to tip them more if they could smile and pretend they were glad to see me.
The food was very fresh and authentic.I like the flavor with the unique oriental spices. Service was fast and prices very reasonable
Ordered online and order was not ready by time signed up for.But the food was soooo good.
It was decent Thai food.
Great tasting Massaman curry
The portion was a great size and added shrimp to my Pad Thai for only $3 and got 7 decent sized shrimp.
Very tasty foods!
Great food
I love ordering food from this place! The service is always good. I just wanted to say that they are closed for 4th of July. I tried calling twice and no one is answering. Just wanted to let everyone know!
Doordash made an error with my order and Siam Orchid went above and beyond to rectify Doordash's mistake. Delicious food!! ☺
Great food been there numerous times
Staff is friendly, the place is ethnic and clean, and food is delicious! I haven’t gotten the chance to go inside, but the takeout is great!
Yellow curry is our go-to. They are spot on when you ask for it spicy.
Came here for the lunch special and it was fabulous. They have a couple of unique plates that I haven’t seen at other restaurants. Speedy service and delicious food.
