Wow... I really love that rare surprise of both good service and good food, you just don't find that in the same place that often. The food is Excellent, check my past reviews I don't think I have ever come out and said that directly, but it was excellent and while there may be better this is a solid quality meal in taste, portions and cost.
PS, it's a BYOB or Wine so break out your good stuff and enjoy
Sometimes you want to keep hidden gems like Chada Thai Bistro all to yourself!
I've been enjoying Chada Thai Bistro for years. I had lunch yesterday with a friend from upstate and she was so mad I hadn't brought her sooner.
They have such a great menu of classic Thai dishes and a really great lunch special menu (soup or salad choice of entree).
Staff are always friendly, attentive and happy to offer recommendations and choices when available (our server suggested mango ice cream instead of traditional vanilla ice cream with our dessert).
You can personalize your order of most dishes with choice of proteins or vegetables or tofu and spice (heat) level.
Food is always served fresh from kitchen and perfect size. Great balance of spices and each bite flavorful.
They also have great drink and dessert choices as well.
It might be a small restaurant (often overlooked because of IHOP next door) but definitely big flavor.
The food is quite tasty. Popped in for lunch and we had the basil fried rice with beef and drunken noodles with shrimp. It came with a soup as well as an appetizer of your choice. I chose the spring roll. Food is spicy which I love but they also bring out 4 choices of hot sauce if you request it. Service was prompt and friendly. Lots of dining space inside and the place was kept clean. There’s also dessert choices which we skipped. Very reasonably priced as well. The entire meal came up to $28. Parking in the back of the restaurant is available and I counted about 5 spots. I’d dine here again.
This is the 2nd time we are visiting this place to dine in. Every time we are amazed by the food quality and the quantity. Out favorite is their Papaya salad and drunken noodles , we tried their mango sticky rice and weren’t the biggest fan of it but worth trying. The place is not that fancy but for a food lover it’s a place worth trying.
Great Thai spot in a very convenient location.
I stopped in for the lunch special today. Parking was easy, plenty of space. The woman behind the counter was very friendly.
I ordered the Pad See Yue with pork and a soup under the lunch special. Everything was cooked perfect. The noodles are fresh, the pork was plentiful, the sauce had a good sweetness, and the broccoli had the perfect bitterness to compliment the sauce. The soup had a very robust taste. A little spicy with plenty veggies.
Overall, I'm very please with this restaurant and I'm sure I'll be back.
I got a door dash order and it was still steaming hot and very delicious! Beef red curry with pineapple (pictured) is an all time favorite of mine and I'm glad I found it here. Fried banana (also pictured) was tasty as well. Both held up fine through delivery.
I've now had several orders from here now and all were perfect. Will have to dine-in after the scamdemic is over.
This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in NY. The food is authentically Thai, not Chinese pretending to be Thai. Don’t get me wrong, I love Chinese food when it’s good but many Thai restaurants in the city are actually Chinese. Chinese is Chinese and Thai is Thai. This food is Thai. The menu is varied and I love everything I’ve tried here.
Great place to grab lunch.
Taste the best. Lucky to have them not too far from where I live as they are really a place that make good food. I love the food and recommend Chada Thai
Updated.
Their food has been going down hill due to their cut portion and the uptake in price.
Been ordering for years. They remove the spring roll that come with lunch. And the take out box is a smaller and price has gone up.
Old review.
Their food are great. Take out are the best way to go during covid-19.
food is mad good dawg

After a series of bad experiences with restaurants, went to Chada after reviewing Google. We were so happy that the food - Shrimp Mermaid, Coconut Soup, Drunken Noodles, and Pad Thai was outstanding & service was superb. We will be going there often & telling our friends about this restaurant. Thanks, Google!
This is a BYOB place. They are very open about that when you get there.
The food is amazing. The price is so reasonable and the service is very good.
We had the calamari which I loved. It was a little oily but it was tasty. We enjoyed the food it was super delicious. We had the basil fish and drunken noodles. So fresh and tasty! We will be back! We had the Shumai. It wasn't as good as I have had but the wings they were amazing.
Food is so delicious, the fried red snapper with Chilli garlic sauce is my favorite. The owner very hospitable. I don't like the location and parking...feels eerie.
10/10 the food was well cooked and deliciously seasoned.
Been ordering here for the past 4 years and their drunken noodle and pad thai have been consistent. The drunken noodle is full of flavor and it just hits the right spot. The pad thai noodles have been different and less thinner the past couple orders but nevertheless the taste is still consistent as always. Definitely try the tofu versiom for both dishes. The Tom Yum is the only dish that is not thai flavored. Its a hit or miss with the soup. Its either bland or its ok but its always missing the lemongrasss flavor that tom yum is known for. Overall, my regular thai spot for years and will continue as long as they stay consistent with their dishes!
No frills, priced right, excellent food. This is my favorite Thai joint on the Island. Ask for the hot sauces for the table
Food is very hit or miss. I am a big fan of that food and was a little disappointed the first time going. But enjoyed it more the second time around.
Best thai food I've had on Long Island. And I've had alot of thai food.
Originally ordered from here during 2020 and found the food flavorful and good overall. last night I ordered the crab wontons,, which were fine, but the Spare Rib appetizer , sweet lord.. 5 small pieces of meat with the bone compromising 75% of the bite. Just not passable. The two entrees with Steamed Broccoli and beef and with chicken. Protein was sparse and the sauces seemed like a thinned or watered down version of Thai sauces. What a disappointment.
Good food
This place is a hidden gem!!!! Authentic Thai food that can rival Sri Phai Phai in Astoria. We had the roti, spicy wings, spring rolls and papaya salad for appetizers and red curry, green curry, pineapple curry, drunken noodle Thai grilled chicken, pineapple fried rice and sesame chicken. Everything was amazing! We will definitely be back.
Food is very good. Best Thai food in the neighborhood.
Ordered pineapple Curry with shrimps and extra Chicken. It WAS the worse food I tested in my whole life, no flavor or spice, the rice was very bad too. Wasted $22.76 and stayed hungry at work. Not recommended at all
Surprised by this Thai restaurant. Their curry and fried rice is good, better than many of the other fancier or high decor places. Don't let the looks from the exterior fool you. Their food is good! Also their Thai Iced Tea is one of the best that you actually taste the tea and also not too sweet. They will be on my regular rotation of restaurants to order and eat in from.
The best Thai food I’ve ever had
“Mango Avocado salad” is off the hook
“Green Curry Chicken” so delightfully melting in your mouth!!!
I’ll be eating here every time I am in town👍🏻👍🏻
Their food used to be good. Ordered the Thai fried rice and is was like mushy wet quinoa.
Amazing lunch menu! Easy to order online and they make it as spicy as you ask for.
Great food, great prices and it is BYOB. In my opinion the best appetizers are the Thai roti, the curry puff and the chicken wings. The duck pineapple curry is outstanding!
Food is excellent. Fresh. Hot. My go to for thai food.
I have been searching for a good Thai restaurant and saw some decent reviews from a few places in the Hicksville/Bethpage area. I tried them and was not that impressed. Then I tried this place.... Wow, much better! Nice menu, good prices, great service and the food is a step above.
Food was great and the staff was very courteous. One of the better thai places on the island.
Food with heart. Eat in, let the owners fuss over you like with every other customer. Be patient. It's real food, it flavourful and it's a "soul" filler
Amazing food
Ordered chicken pad Thai. No flavor. Would not recommend.
Just love this place
Changed since the pandemic. Take out portions are much, much smaller. Taste has gone down quite a bit. Used to be such a great place before the pandemic hit.

Awesome good and great service!!
Food is AMAZING.
Staff was quick and polite
Very nice Thai restaurant. I have tried most of their menu. All of them are very delicious. Highly recommended!
The food is little pricey. However, the taste goes down a bit compared with last time I visit
Great food service good
Food is great here!
Usually very good but only reason I'm giving it a lower rating is once I had golden curry puffs that were cold. Some vegetables in fried rice were frozen. It was not a great experience that one time.
Disappointing. I was excited at first to try a new Thai place but the flavors were off on all the dishes I got.
Delicious Thai good! I got the Chicken Pad Thai and it was exceptional. The curry dumplings and duck bao buns were also amazing. Highly recommend the mango sticky rice for dessert. This place is great for either dine in or takeout. Not a lot of seating so call ahead if you have a bigger party of people.
Extremely disappointing food experience. Pineapple fried rice was bland. Pad thai was bland. I ordered pad thai with 1/4 duck, but I got what was seemingly 1/4 of 1/4 duck. I order the roti appetizer and was appalled to see that it was 1 roti for 7.50. And for a thai place the curry was bland. This is NOT thai. Then reading back on the reviews, there are cockroaches and hair in food? Unbelievable.
It’s a hidden gem! Just try there once and you will definitely want to go back there.
Reasonably priced, good Thai food. Friendly service.
My favorite Thai restaurant!! Fast service, friendly staff,& most importantly delicious food 😍. Try the spring rolls & calamari from the appetizer menu!
Decent. very spicy - even for spice lovers.
This is the second time we ordered from the restaurant and unfortunately there was hair in our food so was not edible. Given it was our second time, we didn't check the reviews and missed the other folks who had similar food safety related experiences. We order in a lot to support the local economy and unfortunately we can't support the business anymore as food safety should be the upmost priority at a restaurant and our experience tonight doesn't seem isolated.
Great food 😋

Out favorite is their Papaya salad and drunken noodles , we tried their mango sticky rice and weren’t the biggest fan of it but worth trying. There was hair is two different things I ordered - the fried spring rolls and the sweet & sour chicken. I also ordered wings as an appetizer. Although the wings were served seemingly steaming hot, the meat inside was cold! When we told the hostess, she took it back to the kitchen and they brought them back out on the same plate, same amount of wings within two minutes. I’m guessing they were microwaved. I am very disappointed as this used to be my go to spot.
I truly don’t know where to begin so I’ll make it short and disappointing. Chada used to be my go too place for Thai. No matter where my partner and I have lived- we have always traveled the distance for Chada. Unfortunately we cannot return. Service and the food has declined drastically and the original owners need to spend more time involved unless they sold the business. I’d stay away.
The quality and the food is to die for. Its so amazing
Delicious food, friendly staff, definitely recommend trying!.

Not only was this my all-time favorite Thai restaurant but I have been eating here since they opened! My whole family loves it. I dined in 2 days ago with my daughter, and her friend. We started noticing a few baby roaches on the floor. The meals came out and there was a dead adult roach in the sticky rice. Ironically I am an Exterminator so I quietly walked over to our waitress and told her that the restaurant is infested. She apologized and said they have tried bombing the store themselves 3 or 4 times and nothing works. I told her she needs a professional fogging immediately and I even offered to do a $300 job for $85 out of my loyalty to this business. To my shock and dismay they never called me. My family will never eat here again!
Excellent food and service.
Hair in food..that's all that needs to be said. Gross...don't know why the 4 stars...
Authentic homey thai restaurant. Order direct from their app and website to keep them alive and not paying big fees to other vendors!
excellent service, delicious, clean, i love this place.
Great cozy place, very clean and friendly. The price us fare. Lunch specials. Same cook for years.
I have been a regular at this restaurant from over a year. And I can vouch that their food quality has been degrading. It has been average for a while but today I got the worst drunken noodles possible. Noodles are swimming in oil and Thai paste can be seen in patches.
This is so disappointing.
Fresh and very tasty, cant wait to try more items from there menu
I got a door dash order and it was still steaming hot and very delicious! Beef red curry with pineapple (pictured) is an all time favorite of mine and I'm glad I found it here. Fried banana (also pictured) was tasty as well. Both held up fine through delivery.
I've now had several orders from here now and all were perfect. Will have to dine-in after the scamdemic is over.
Basi chicken was outstanding. The first Thai place that understands what very spice means.
The food is awful. I ordered satay chicken, Chicken green curry . The chicken is rubbery and not fresh. The curry does not have the Thai richness. Chicken Satay is a joke! I will never go back, and don’t suggest this place.
Very slow for pick up
the food is so good, ask for the hot chilis!
Excellent little Thai place. Reasonably priced and great experience. Service was attentive and expedient, and the courses were out quickly and well paced.
We had the Larb Fish special (fried tilapia over salad with sticky rice), which was crisp and super flavorful, and some of the best the tofu pad Thai I've tasted.
Would definitely go again.
Very bad experience with food quality and staff, we use to be regular at this place, but sad to say not anymore .. got to look for new thai place.. there quality and consistency of food been on decline and price on the rise... .
I've had Thai foods. This is one of the best.
Prices are higher than other Thai place in the area. Food is ok.
Fast service, food is hot and made when order. Different types of hot sauce... which I loved I love hot sauce! Me and my partner love going to thai restaurants and this is deff. Part of our top 5!
Little hole in the wall Thai place. Nice atmosphere. Food was ok.
Pro tip-get the Thai iced tea
Ordered the red curry and the Chicken Tom Yum Noodle Soup. The noodle soup was absolutely disgusting. The noodle was extremely bland. The soup barely had any chicken in it, and the chicken that was there was terribly bland. The red curry was ok.
This is an awesome thai restaurant. Food is consistently good and not the same old stuff. They have different dishes that are authentic and will adjust to your spicy thermometer.
Amazing Thai food. Friendly staff
The best part about this place is that the staff always welcomes you with a smile. On this occasion I ordered the chicken in peanut sauce which turned out to be delicious...the Thai iced drinks are very tasty also like the coconut juice, Thai iced coffee, Thai iced tea and black Thai iced coffee. I used to come here often because their food is delicious but the reason it’s not a five star review is because the honey duck was not very honey or sweet at all which is the reason I come to this place but they either forgot to make it with honey or can’t cook it like they used to.
The staff are perfectly nice and the menu what you expect from a Thai Restaurant on Long Island... If you are an actual fan of Thai food this is a lackluster experience. Everything I ordered was so basic-down to the ice burg lettuce in the duck salad. Items marked as spicy, I actually had to ask to add hot sauce. It's not that the food was bad from a technical stand point- but it was good and it certainly wasn't special. I gave it three stars- because I can see how and why people would like it , the way people like California rolls at sushi spots and that's okay. But if you truly love Thai food, and the flavor do yourself and favor and skip this spot please.
The service was great, food was fresh and delicious.... I would go back.
I didn't had a good food experience ... definitely not the 4 star which is what the restaurant had when I placed my order. Hope they improved.
Very good food service is great would recommend.
On July 26,Friday,2019 when I went to the restaurant,I thought alcoholic beverages would be available and served, because when I saw the photos of the restaurant and the bar area in the internet it looked like alcoholic beverages would be available and served. But when I went to the restaurant and asked for alcoholic beverages like wine, the restaurant waitress said,"We don't serve alcoholic beverages."And it is very much disappointing because if people see the photos of the restaurant and bar area and go to the restaurant with an expectation thinking that alcoholic would be available and ask for alcoholic beverages like red wine, white wine, beer
whiskey or any other kind of alcoholic beverages and the restaurant waitress says,"we don't serve alcohol."So, it is advisable as soon as possible to
arrange and serve alcoholic beverages too so that such instances of disappointment won't repeat in the future.Because when I told the restaurant waitress that it is disappointing without alcoholic beverages, the restaurant waitress said that still they don't have and didn't get a license yet for selling and serving alcoholic beverages. So,to my advice it is advisable to arrange for and get the license for selling and serving alcoholic beverages as soon as possible and arrange and sell alcoholic beverages to the people and public as soon as possible in order to avoid such instances of disappointment in the future.
Graey food , I almost ordered half of the dishes here till now but quality remains same. Their soup is awesome and salad is great too.
The customer service is constantly prompt, fantastic vibes, very welcoming staff members. I will visit here again when I am here.
Excellent food! But limited parking
Good Food Served with a smile. We will like to return very often. Highly recommend you give a try! Very Reasonable prices and good portions
Yummy food great service ...nice small and cozy restaurant
Very good food service.
Tasty Thai food
Great food!
Food was okay. Too be honest, I think there were just a lot of items on the menu, and we just picked some wrong ones. Would be willing to try again
Amazing staff and food is so good. It is worth the money.
Food is ok ok
This was the best food period!
The salads are mouthwatering. And the food is delicious.
Delicious food! One of the best thai places in Long Island! We went for a quick lunch and honestly it was amazing. Very warm place and excellent service!
Thai tea is really good
Food is always amazing. Service is great too
Cute small thai restaurant. Will go back.
First and foremost, excellent food. The crispy duck with lychees in a red curry sauce is a must try. Small but cozy place with a great ambience. Prompt and courteous service. Highly recommend!
Good Thai food in town.
Food is very good but they are a bit stingy on the portions.
Nice small, hidden restaurant with great, authentic food. Service is also extremely attentive and overall very welcoming.
I had the tofu veggie peanut sauce and a vegetarian curry puff which changed my life enough that it prompted me to express that I feel like everyone needs to come here but yeah parking is a b*tch but worth it
Horrible costumer service,
Wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to argue for your money back
The food is quite tasty. Popped in for lunch and we had the basil fried rice with beef and drunken noodles with shrimp. It came with a soup as well as an appetizer of your choice. Love their thai food and ice tea
Good
I went on Tuesday they were good but they food is spice if you don't eat spicy tell tham give hot sauce on site
Been to thailand and some of the dishes here are up to par with some of the best Ive had over there
Not gonna visit again
Being from Thailand, the food is good. Authentic since the chef and staff are actually thai, compared to the many "fusion" placed. I've eaten here many times already and will definitely be going back. Prices are reasonable but could be better.
Edit: My original post was from a year ago. Over this past year, I’ve ordered from here quite a few times. The prices have gone up slightly from before (not desirable) while the quality of food has slightly declined. Portions have gotten smaller as well. Only reason for still giving two stars is some of the original staff is very courteous (some new waitress wasn’t) and the food is still reasonable. Personally, I will be looking for another place to dine at for authentic Thai food at a reasonable price.
