Ives near the area for over 10 years and finally decided to try because they were open late. A pleasant surprise. Excellent service, good prices and excellent food. We will be making this a regular option for us now!

We moved away and tried Thai food in every city, even Thailand. This is the best quality, best tasting, best service of any Thai food restaurant we’ve tried in the states. Come back every time we’re in town. Don’t let the strip center fool you! It’s wonderful!!

There are four very good Thai places much closer to me than Sukhothai. I will still gladly make the 45 minute drive for excellent Thai food at Sukhothai. Everything is fantastic. I have been going here as often as I can for 20 years. Family run, home grown herbs, everything made fresh. Bring a bottle of Riesling and enjoy yourself.

Certainly! Here’s an expanded version to continue your review:

This place is a hidden gem. The food is impeccable, and the customer service is top-tier. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, always making sure that we had everything we needed.

Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations that we ended up loving. Each dish came out quickly, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put effort into both the food and the overall dining experience.

If you’re looking for an authentic Thai experience with exceptional service, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!"

Diner Review №7

Over priced for what you get. This was my lunch no chicken and all green beans. There is no taste.

Diner Review №8

Went here for dinner on a weekday, they are one of those places that are open for lunch then close & open back up for dinner. We got there at 5pm when they opened & was warmly greeted by staff.

We had cheese rolls for an appetizer, they were okay. More of a personal preference, these are made with cream cheese & carrots. More savory than that tinge of sweetness my mind had me expecting, but yes I read the menu - cream cheese doesn't necessarily mean sweet. I do feel like they were a bit small for the price & they were warm instead of hot. The sauce was really good though.

I had the beef pad thai, it was excellent. Big portions, the beef was juicy & flavorful. I also liked how it wasn't overwhelming with the sauce but just enough. This came out pipping hot, delicious. My friends had the chicken pad thai & basil chicken which both of them enjoyed their food. We were happy with our choices.

We were there until maybe 8pm, the entire time we were there no one else came in to dine but there had been maybe four or five come in to get take out. This place has been here for a long time & the owners (I assume)/staff were so incredibly sweet! Very attentive, so welcoming, I hope that business is sustainable. Atmosphere wise, it's a little basic, worn down, but that's also the area that it's in. Old Arlington. I would still recommend trying them out if you can!

Diner Review №9

First time trying this place and to start off, it's a nice and clean restaurant. We were greeted by a very nice lady who was also the waitress. We were given some time to look at the menu, since we were ordering takeout.

We ordered the spicy noodle and Thai fried rice. And while we waited for our food at one of the tables, the waitress came to give us some ice water. She was very accommodating.

The food was good. Wish I took pictures, but we were hungry. I like how some of the fried rice had some crisp to it. I wish there were more noodles in the spicy noodle dish, but it was yummy. The portions weren't that big, but for the price, it wasn't bad.

Definitely a place to try if you're craving Thai food and/or are in the area.

Diner Review №12

Such good food!! We love Thai food and this is usually where we now go.

Diner Review №13

Holly cow this food was so fresh and delicious 😋🤤

Diner Review №14

Ambience is cozy with nice music. They have an amazing list of cocktails. I’ve tried lychee martini and it’s classy. Food is delicious and staff is very quick and attentive. I’d definitely comeback again!!

I come here for one reason best Thai around. I have sampled many others trying to fill the hole that was left after we moved from hawaii. This place did it, love the red curry. I have been coming here for 10 years and never left a review. I now live over an hour away and will stop in when in the area.

Diner Review №17

My favorite Thai place!!! Yun is a joy. This is the best food you can get outside of Thailand.

Lunch time visit on a Wednesday.
Very simple and humble ambiance when you walk in. 11 tables that seat 4 (one table seats 6) in the establishment. Easy to find, sitting in between the Dollar General and Al's Hamburger. Plenty of parking.

Ordered Golden Fried Tofu, which was crispy on the outside and light on the inside.
The accompanied House sauce was very bland, even with a few chili flakes and peanuts.

For my lunch entree, I ordered the Stir fry Chicken in Oyster Sauce. It was bland even at medium spice. The onions stood out as crisp and good flavor but the chicken and mushrooms in the oyster sauce woefully fell short.

Overall a mediocre experience unfortunately, I was really hoping to find a local Thai restaurant in my neighborhood that I can return to often.

Overall, I would not recommend this place, while the bill was only $24, (with an ice tea), seeming to be a good price, but the dishes were lack luster in taste and depth, compared to what I was hoping for.

Diner Review №23

The food that was supposed to be spicy was so sweet. It tastes you like. They just put like 2 cups of sugar in it. It wasn't spicy at all.

Diner Review №24

I went for the first time on March 27. I got the Pineapple Curry with vegetables and tofu. Before I ordered, I asked how spicy the meal was. I was told I can get it to where it is not spicy at all. I asked for it to be not spicy because I cannot eat spicy food. When I got home and ate the food, it was so spicy it burned my mouth, made me cough and made my eyes water. I called back and the same lady said “curry is spicy.” All she did was apologize even though I told her I couldn’t eat the food. I’ve had curry dishes before. It was a coconut curry dish and it was NOT spicy at all. Nothing else was done to fix this issue. Had she said it was even a little spicy, I never would have ordered it. I paid for a meal I can’t enjoy.

Diner Review №26

Hey there! Just wanted to share my experience at this lovely place. The atmosphere is really cozy and inviting, and the dining area is super clean and nice. The lady behind the counter was such a sweetheart - she made me feel right at home! And let's talk about the food - it was absolutely delicious, and the prices were really reasonable. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

Diner Review №27

Absolutely incredible food and service! My family has been coming here for years and they consistently make their dishes with great care and finesse. They can customize a lot, and you can ask them for recommendations with confidence that what they make you is going to be delicious.

Diner Review №28

Delicious food that is consistently prepared. Yoon and her family always welcoming

Diner Review №29

The best Thai food within Arlington. Please visit this place it is wonderful Everytime I visit and the same dish never gets old because of how delicious and fresh the ingredients are. 🔥

Diner Review №30

Tried this one on a chance and was pleasantly surprised great food.

Diner Review №31

Diner Review №32

Small intimate, clean restaurant. Ordered chicken Pad Thai noodles, Sweet n Sour Chicken, and the Pineapple Fried Rice w Chicken and they were ALL 10/10! Definitely my new favorite!

Diner Review №33

Although the person that took my order was very nice, I was extremely disappointed with my order. I ordered the spicy noodles with chicken. When I picked up my order I noticed the bag was quite light, but I was exhausted and I just wanted to go home, so I chose not to look inside my takeout box. I have attached a picture of what I received. The portion was very small, the food was extremely oily, and most of it was onions. The noodles (the very few I got), were flavorless and very gummy. I did call and ask about the portion size, and the woman who answered the phone stated that that was their usual portion. Needless to say, the quality and portion of this dish is extremely overpriced. Sadly, will not order from this restaurant again.

Diner Review №34

A very cozy place for great Thai food. Though the ambience is not quite the best, the food they serve is really great, and is somewhat comparable to the quality of food I've had at some high-end Thai places. The service is simply outstanding.

Diner Review №35

An explosion of beautifully spiced “home cooked” tasty dishes. Great customer service, clean atmosphere, and a great variety of meals. 🤌🏼 👩🏻‍🍳 💋

We were craving something home made today for this cold chilly weather and SukhoThai did not disappoint! She was so sweet and helpful with whatever questions we had about the dishes. The Thai tea was also refreshing. They definitely gained 2 loyal customers.

Diner Review №36

Great Food, the lady serving my girlfriend and I was very professional and timely. Spice choice levels of the food were mild, medium, hot, or Thai Hot.
I had the pad Thai with chicken at a spice of medium. I loved every bit of it, definitely worth the money.

Diner Review №37

First Time Experience: Good

Excellent Service
Great Noodles

Masaman Curry, watery.
Coconut Soup, just ok.

July 2023
We ordered a Sweet Soy Sauce Noodles (Pad See Eew) to-go. My kids liked it. They ate it all before I could try it.

2020
I ordered a Pad Thai to-go. It tasted good, but the noodles were a bit chewy. Overall, I enjoyed it. Nice small place. The waitress was great. Even though I ordered to-go, she gave me a glass of water while I waited.

Diner Review №41

Diner Review №42

Always good and fresh.
I found that 3+ was just right on the spice level!
Pineapple Curry my new favorite
I have been several times because I live close by, I have never been disappointed.

Diner Review №43

Great service and fantastic Pad Thai. The cream cheese rolls were also excellent. Will return!

Diner Review №44

Nice Thai food

Diner Review №45

All perfect!

Diner Review №46

Hole in the wall comfortable, tranquil dining with deliciousness. I enjoyed my coconut spicy soup (Tom Kha). Next time I should definitely go with the big bowl for the price. Over all it was tasty and would visit again. Thank you.

Diner Review №47

Diner Review №48

Always love this place. Consistently great food and customer service.

Diner Review №49

Delicious food!! I had the red curry and it was nice and spicy! It had a lot of good veggies 🥦 🥕, the quantity was good too. The Thai iced tea is also yummy.

Diner Review №50

Good

Diner Review №51

Diner Review №52

Diner Review №53

Food quality is not great!
The food was very oily!!! Definitely not going back again.

Diner Review №54

Diner Review №55

Food was acceptable, but very, very small portion. I pay for a bowl, and got half of it. I called to complain....the said that our normal portion. No apology and no credit to my card. They just lost a loyal customer

Diner Review №56

This has to be the worst Thai food I've ever had. The tom yum soup does not taste authentic in the least. I got it with the seafood as protein and they added that fake sweet crab meat. I threw that all out. It was 99.99% broth and tasted very bad. The pad prik king was very watered down and tasted like they added a lot of sugar. It was also very unauthentic in taste. The proportion size was small and only filled up half of the containers (placed two orders). Also, one order was supposed to be spicy and it was mild. Saddest "thai" restaurant I have ever been to. $42 worth of hot garbage. Never again.

Diner Review №57

All the food is consistently great. I love the panang curry!

Diner Review №58

The service and atmosphere are nothing special, but the food is very good.

Diner Review №59

The reviews are all true.

Never in my life would have I expected the most delicious Thai cuisine in the most out of place, but.. it kind of works perfectly.

Don’t let that the fact that it’s in a strip mall fool you. This is literally a hidden gem.

Wonderful staff and the prices are so great.
The best ambience too. Alright I’m stopping here. Lovely place!!!

Diner Review №60

Food is great. It is a quite and clean place to eat

Diner Review №61

Simply Delicious

Diner Review №62

Very disapointed had lunch. Very pricy and food was not that good for $13 lunch. Staffers Very friendly.

Diner Review №63

They don't have new hours posted online anywhere and have put tape over the hours on the door they aren't open on Mondays and Tuesdays now

Diner Review №64

I feel bad that we've lived here for 5 years and never visited here. I got the green curry and it was fantastic. Very fresh, a good value and as an added bonus the lady that took my order, Yoon, was very polite, helpful and appreciative. She said her sister is the cook. We will definitely be back!

Diner Review №65

I loooove this place. I've been going for years. Their pineapple curry is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Their fried rices are really good too.

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

Diner Review №68

Yummy!!!! The service and food were fantastic. The tom kha gai and Massaman curry with chicken were so flavorful. Will be back.

Diner Review №69

Diner Review №70

Ordered Pad Thai with vegetables and tofu. It had a lot of onions, a few canned green beans, two tiny pieces of soggy broccoli, canned bean sprouts, canned bamboo shoots, and a scant amount of tofu. It reminded me of the canned chow mein I ate as a kid in the 70’s. The red curry chicken was a very small portion with overcooked chicken, thin broth, and lots of canned bamboo shoots. Friendly service earned the two stars, but I won’t be back.

Diner Review №71

Diner Review №72

It was bad when I went there seven years ago and is bad today. Though I was hopeful. A Thai restaurant that doesn’t have a papaya salad ??!!?? Order order the chicken salad to-go and it had very small portion and 90% of it was lettuce. 4.4 review is way overrated/inflated

Diner Review №73

Best thai restaurant in town

Diner Review №74

Quality is good, portions seem small for the price.

Diner Review №75

Such friendly people and delicious authentic Thai food! This restaurant has been our favorite for 20 years now!

Diner Review №76

Very good dinner. Enjoyed all the dishes. Eggplant was very tasty.

Diner Review №77

Hmm 🤔 I have no idea where these other reviews came from but I am so GLAD that I tried it for myself! We tried the two curries and shrimp eggplant stir-fry. The food was so so so so good, curries had so much depth of flavor and everything was hot off the stove. The fluffy white rice 🍚 was great because there was so much yummy gravy that came with entrees it was the perfect combo. The meat is tender, veggies 🥕 flavorful, and each specialty plate is good for one person. The medium 2 is not as spicy as I thought🥵 because I know Thai hot can send me to the ER so you’ll be fine. Just ask for pepper on the side to control your heat. The menu is huge and offers a variety of things with explanations in English. Definitely a great place for authentic and DELICIOUS Thai food 🥘

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №79

Food was not bad. Ordered A curry, a stir dry, a fried rice and a fish item. Not bad but not one the best Thai places out here either.

Diner Review №80

I've tried several Thai restaurants in Arlington and Sukhothai is the best, specifically their beef pad thai. Great flavor and quality. The customer service is excellent as well.

Diner Review №81

Take out. Three pad Thais, one drunken noodle. Plain and flavorless. Drunken noodles…misleading, oily, six pieces of chicken and maybe four strands of basil. Also a ton of onion and soggy carrots. Pad Thais not enough meat and just not the best. Not sure where they got 4.4 stars from.

Diner Review №82

Always hot, fresh and delicious!

Diner Review №83

Diner Review №84

Good pad Thai. Quick service

Diner Review №85

Food was great but getting it to us took awhile.

Diner Review №86

We have been coming here for 15 years and it is consistently a step above other places in terms of quality. The pad thai, Tom yum and Tom Ka soup, yellow curry and salads are all regular favorites. Thai tea is delicious too. We have never had an issue with service, either dining in or getting food to go. The dining room atmosphere is a little nicer than other Thai places as well.

Diner Review №87

Great fresh food at a reasonable price. Hot is not so hot. If you dare try Thai hot.
There's no alcohol served, BYOB.

Diner Review №88

This wonderful little restaurant is very clean! Staff is very polite and well mannered. The food I have to say is amazing 👏

Diner Review №89

Tasteless food ,definitely will not coming back.

Diner Review №90

Diner Review №91

Had the masamun curry with beef and spring rolls. Spring rolls were piping hot straight out of the kitchen, very crispy and delicious. The curry and beef were also delicious and the rice was really good too. Wife had the Thai chicken salad and said she loved it. Will certainly be back.

Diner Review №100

Diner Review №101

Diner Review №102

Very good food and great service. Food is very authentic .

Diner Review №103

Ordered take out. Wasnt disappointed.

Diner Review №104

My worse Thai fried rice and chicken satay ever! Not authentic Thai fried rice... too greasy, just big chunks of onions, no veggies ( cut tomatoes, cubes of cucumber) and barely no meat with my beef Thai fried rice, not what I’m expecting that I’m used to a REAL authentic Thai food! Will never go back to this place.

Diner Review №105

Fantastic. The ginger stir fry is one of my all time favorite meals. My mom loved the spicy fried rice.

Diner Review №106

The First Pad Tai I've had in Arlington. It is the real deal. I live in far SW Arlington, this place is in far NW Arlington bit well worth the trip. Especially for Pad Tai

Diner Review №115

This was my first time here. It was delicious. I had the oyster sauce stir fry with chicken, and it was so fresh and tasty. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, as was the steamed rice. You’d think steamed rice is the same everywhere you go, but there’s definitely an art to it. All in all, great food, loved the quiet, intimate atmosphere, and the service was quick and friendly. Will be returning soon.

Diner Review №116

My Goodnesss out of control good and authentic reminds me of actually being back in thailand

Diner Review №117

I’ve been coming to Sukhothai for years. It’s my favorite Thai place in arlington. They have delicious curries. I also really enjoy their pad see ew. It’s a very intimate place. Usually it’s not to crowded and I’m always shocked because it’s so delicious. This would be a great place to take someone you’d like to impress. They’re also BYOB. I’ve never missed an opportunity to bring a bottle of wine to share.

Diner Review №132

Went here based on the reviews and the place truly lived up to the expectations built after reading. I got spicy fried rice, pineapple fried rice and sweet sticky rice with mango. It was amazing!!!! Thank you for being kind and courteous as well! Will definitely return and possibly get two orders of the sticky rice. So good! 😅

My wife and I love Sukhothai. It's our inexpensive treat, where we can get really tasty food in a lovely, quiet ambiance. She loves the massuman curry; I'm a huge fan of their Thai fried rice with chicken. Their veggie spring rolls are light and crispy and my wife loves the Thai tea - says it tastes like cake.

Great food and service. We travel allot and have eaten at Thai restaurants all over the US and in many different countries. Sukothai in Arlington is the best so far! Their coconut chicken soup, curry dishes, fried rice dishes, pad Thai is always great. We have taken many friends here and they have all become fans. I am so glad we have this great restaurant in Arlington!

Diner Review №174

Best Thai in Arlington! Consistently delicious!
We go at least once a week!

Fantastic Thai food!
Varied dishes as well as intensity of spice, I suggest just going for it and get the "Thai hot". Never dissapoints. Favorite dishes are the Mussamun Curry or the Sweet soy sauce noodles.
