I’m literally paying you and tipping the least you can do is get my food order right.

I just got the pad thai but it wasn’t made well at all , all the sauce was at the bottom of the dish, the portion was very small for what was paid and the noodles were wide flat noodles .. didn’t taste like how pad thai normally taste

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. While the food is affordable, the quality is not great – it tastes like they’re cutting corners. On top of that, they charged double on the tip without informing me. It felt deceitful and left a bad impression. With so many options around, I’d recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Came in tonight to place a Togo order had a few questions regarding the food preparation of certain items because of food allergies, the server and chef were both very helpful. The chef even came back out to make sure certain things were fine in my meal. It’s rare to receive this level of service nowadays, and to top it off the food was delicious!! I will most definitely be coming back!

I used to come here a lot, and yesterday was the first time I’d been there in 7 years. It is still so amazing! I had been hyping this place up to my partner for years and we’d finally gone, it didn’t disappoint. We got the Crab Rangoons and they were insane. We got the Shrimp and Mixed Veggie Pad Thai and the Chicken Pad Kra Pao and we took a Pad Thai to go. The service is impeccable, the man that served us was so incredibly nice and patient. Everything about the restaurant is so delicately chosen, it’s honestly beautiful. 12/10 would come again!

Ordered take out here for the first time and the food was great. It was a bit busy so it took a little longer for my order to be done, but the food was fresh when I received it. We ordered green and yellow curry, pad see ew, crab rangoons, and mango sticky rice. All tasted great but the portion sizes were a bit small. I will definitely return.

Definitely not the same as it used to be. After previous disappointments, I thought I’d give it another try since I was nearby. It was even worse than previous changes. Portions are tiny now, they took 30min for 1 meal and a spring roll (fresh spring rolls are smaller now too) , and gave me a tiny serving of cold rice (like refrigerator cold) What happened to this restaurant?

This was my first time to eat Thai food. It was so good!! The eggs rolls were so fresh and crispy, the soup so tasty and the rice and chicken so filling. I felt like a king!!

Ordered for pick up and came home to my order not being what I wanted it to be. I got the pad kee mao with beef without mushrooms (allergic) and carrots. Almost took the first bite when I got home and saw the mushrooms. I could have had a bad allergic reaction because of their negligence. They even checked it off on their work ticket. Now I paid $15 for something I cannot eat.

Couple of weeks before that, same dish but dine in. Halfway if me eating and I noticed a long strand of hair in my food. I did let them know and they did make me a new dish and voided my bill.

They’ve been really careless the last few times I’ve been there and them almost giving me an allergic reaction because they didn’t care to double check was my last straw. It used to me my favorite place for Thai food, now after multiple attempts and repeat disappointment I won’t be returning and it’s upsetting.

Before they temporarily closed I would come here one a week after work! It was my favorite thai place and would tell how good this place was to my coworkers. I was excited for it to finally opened back up I work close by and decided to order some food during break around 5. The online system wasn’t working so I went inside to order I asked the person at the counter if I can place an order ahead of time for pick up around 8. They said yes I can order it and ask them what time they closed to be considerate that I’m not picking it up around the time just before they closed and then the person said 15 after and then in my head I’m like okay so they close at 8:15??? But I ordered anyways and also made sure this is the order I’m picking up at 8 right and then they said yeah 15 after (I’m like no way does this mean my food is going to be finished in 15 minutes what but I finished ordering and went back to work)
Came to pick up my order after getting off from work around 8 like I said and the same person was there and said that they think I forgot about my food and I was like oh I said I was going to pick it up around 8. And yes you guessed it my food was sitting out for more than 2 hours lol
Got home pretty late though due to traffic so my food was out for more than 4 hours now but luckily I didn’t get food poisoning
I got the thai fried rice and pad thai. The thai fried rice was my absolute favorite item to order but it had a taste of food + unwashed old pan but the pad thai was good hence the 2*s
But I kind of regretted giving a $10 tip?
Also kind of scared to go back again to my once favorite thai place.

I was the only one in this little restaurant so service was excellent. There were several people picking up orders. So maybe more of a to go place. I will definitely be back. I had a Garlic Chicken dish heat #3. It was perfectly spiced. I may try a 4 or 5 heat next time .

The guy today around 1pm 11/16/2022 knew i was waiting in a order, instead of advising me of the hold up to the restaurant time he jusyt let me figured it out. I liked the yellow curry fried rice. Crab wanton was super disappointing when compared to Thai monkey. I promise that every one can agree that Thai monkey in Beltline road has the best Crab Wanton. Was so disappointed ordering this at Bangkok orchid Thai. Not good at all.

Authentic Thai food. I had the basil pork 5x spicy and asked them to add egg (the way it is generally served in Thailand. It was perfectly spiced and other than substituting the harder to find Grapow basil with readily available Thai basil it was very authentic.

This is an excellent Thai food restaurant.. It's kind of a hole in the wall back in the back of a shopping center, a little bit hard to find.

However it's well worth the search to find the place.. The food is excellent the portions are large I'm sure and represents good value for the money spent.

They have a large variety of entrees. I have the most personal experience with their curries .

Very yummy food! The service is also pleasant and quick. I don't like super spicy food so I always order a 1 (or 2 if i'm being adventurous) but my boyfriend enjoys level 4 (I tried it and it was too hot for me lol). I love that their menu tells you the ingredients so you can pick how many veggies you'd like. Their portions are generous without being too filling which is awesome. Would highly recommend!

VERY DISAPPOINTED! We tried take-out from this place a couple of weeks ago, we tried the pad Thai and fried rice, the food was great, the portions were very generous… we came back last Sunday for take out, this time we ordered just the fried rice and 2 orders of egg rolls, I noticed that the size or portion of the fried rice was way smaller, I got home and my wife serve a portion of rice on her plate, and when I was about to serve me a portion we notice that there was a shiny string of metal in the rice! I call them several times until I finally get a hold of the hostess and I told her what just happened, she told me to text the pictures and she will talk to the manager… in the meantime we have to dispose the food since there was a piece of metal and we don’t know if the food was contaminated or safe to eat, we don’t want to take the risk since my wife is pregnant… 24 hrs they contacted me asking me if I want another plate or a refund, I ask them for a refund… and here we are, I have not received a refund. That’s why we are very disappointed. WE ARE NOT COMING BACK OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Super Fresh ingredients! Spice levels just as I requested for each item ordered. Portion size- plentiful. Range of choices on the menu - plentiful. They label the to go boxes so there is no guessing who gets what! Plus it was ready when they said it would be - and stayed hot, ready to serve. They've got a happy team in the kitchen so when I don't want to cook - I know I'm going to bring home a high quality meal that will put smiles on faces too.

I’m Thai so this place is NOT an authentic Thai restaurant per my perspective. It’s indeed a fusion one.

1. I ordered the Pad-Ka-Pow-Moo-Kob (crispy pork). However, it looks and tastes like another dish; Ka-Naa-Moo-Kob (คะน้าหมูกรอบ: Thai language). It’s very disappointing. I don’t know if it is a mistake or chef doesn’t care what customer wants, he/she just cooks whatever he/she wants. Good side is that the crispy pork is very good. It would be really good with an authentic Pad-Ka-Pow.

2. I also ordered the Tum-Moa. It’s the Esan Thai style salad. Chef used the wrong noodle which is very disappointing compared to the price I paid. They suppose to use the round, white rice noodle that we normally see at the Vietnamese restaurant in this dish. However, they used the flat rice noodle that we normally use for Pho, Thai boat noodle, Thai Tom Yum noodle, etc. I have never ever seen any Thai use that kind of noodle in Tum-Moa (ตำมั่ว: Thai language)

There are lots of free parking space. Take out only, no dine in during pandemic.

Great Southeast Asian food

The best yellow curry fried rice I have ever tasted. You can tell that LOVE is they're key ingredient. Thank you . Service is ok, but they do make up for it with they're Food.

I've been coming here since 2010 or 2011. I'm the child that always orders side fried rice when I go there, and every experience I've had there is just outright amazing. I usually get side fried-rice and that's it. It's cheap, it's delicious, and it's my type of food. In like couple of years, I've experimented with other foods and it's delicious. I basically grew up with this place, and it's amazing. I really recommend trying the side fried rice, and the red curry with tom yum soup. I've been to Thailand twice, and what I can say might be disagreed upon others. This is the most authentic, and delicious Thai restaurant I've ever been to period. There's always a lady who greets me, and I don't know if she still works there, but, she is a great worker. (don't know her name, but she always remember me) Thanks Bangkok Orchid for providing the best Thai food, and actually, one of the best food in general I've ever had. Great job, don't stop.

I love this restaurant. I usually get pineapple fried rice, but I have tried some other dishes as well. Besides the great taste and quick service (from when I dined in before covid), I also like that I always have enough leftovers for a second serving or sometimes even a third serving. I don't know how much food I eat per serving in relation to other people though.

For someone that has tried a lot of thai food, this didn't feel too authentic to me. I had the pad thai and I asked for no spice and it came very bland and very red orange. It was a big portion of food but I wasn't a fan.

I am heart broken to write this 1 star review. I LOVE this place, I think it is one of the best Thai places that I have ever had, and I eat a lot of Thai all over DFW. I even order at a 4 or 5 spicy level so you know I love my Thai. No one can match this place! I have eaten here over the past 5 years, maybe longer. Many lunches with my sister and uncounted pick up orders after work to take home and enjoy over the many years. However that has come to an end after today.

I placed my order using the Yelp website and drove there to pick up my order. Happy and thinking how I ordered way to much food as I always do here haha but I just can't stop myself from getting the crispy egg rolls with the most heavenly sweet and sour sauce; and how could I not end this meal without the sweet rice and mango? It is a must have :-) after eating the 5 star level heat that I request. Don't even get me started on the Tom Kha Soup or I may break down and cry for a hour over my loss. I order Pad Kee Mao (Basil Flat Noodles) at every new Thai place that I try and not once have I found one that could even come close to the quality of Bangkok, but due to their staff (young man working pick up) I will never return here again.

I placed my order on Yelp and drove to pick it up. Walking in the store I gave the guy at the counter my name and said I have a order to pick up. He asked to see my phone. MY PHONE???? Why would he need my phone? He wanted to see the order on my phone from Yelp. But sadly my phone was dead so I was not able to show him the screen. I knew the name on my order, I knew what was on the order even the spicy level I have for each dish and my request for extra chili oil. I have my driver license that matches the name on the order and the credit card that I paid with on the Yelp site. However this guy told me that without showing him my phone I cannot have my food. He was very rude and clearly has no understanding of how to speak to a customer. He would not give me my order and would not refund my money. He simply refused to even try and help a loyal customer. I have ordered pick up many times with Yelp from many other places and never have I had to bring them my phone to show them. I would have been find showing my ID or my card to prove who I was. After this young mans refusal to help me. I had to request to speak to the manager. It took 15 mins of me waiting for the manager to get my refund applied to my card. She was very nice but would not let me have the food that I paid for either, I had no choice but to get a refund and go home hungry. Now I am waiting at home for my frozen pizza to cook in the over. Sad night...... I have no idea how I will ever find a Thai place that can live up to Bangkok but with the staff that works there I can never return.

Very good Thai food. I’ve worked in Asia and travelled to Thailand numerous times. This food is as good as you’ll get there. The proportions at this restaurant are huge though. I forgot I was in America and ordered 2 meals. Way too much food for 2 people. The peanut favorite is delicious.

I love the pad Thai here, but I cannot handle a lot of heat. I ordered it as a 1 in heat level... what I received was inedible because it was way too hot. I tried to eat it but I couldn’t. I was very sad because it was all I wanted. My husband offered me his dish but I was so disappointed, I just ate a spring roll. I will try again another time.

Not up to par with other Thai restaurants in Dallas. Ordered the basil fried rice and drunken noodles. Fried rice was mushy. Also ordered the spring rolls and they were bland with yellow lettuce and no herbs. In Dallas, Si Lom and Sabaidee are our favorites.

I had Pad Thai and Tom Kha, spice level 3 (up to 5) my staple dishes; they were delicious...soup was more like a meal full of veggies and ginger. A must try.

This used to be my go to place for Thai food in Irving. Since the owners changed the food taste has changed and they’ve always missed or messed up something with my pickup order. Last time time I ordered a curry with chicken and noodles they had upgraded my curry to beef chicken and seafood and side order of rice to fried rice. Everything tasted good but it felt like my order was upgraded on purpose so my check would be bigger. Make sure you ask them to repeat your order if you’re places pick up order.

Been going here for years and friends/coworkers are never disappointed when they join me. I have never had something that was less than good (probably personal preference), almost always the food is excellent. Several of my co-workers are harsh grading foodies and they would rate the food here as 10/10. Large portions for the price, fast prep, food is available for pick up.

So this place has gone down hill from the last time I ate here. The soup that was brought out was cold. The food is more Chinese food than Thai. Yes there is a difference. All and all was not really impressed with the flavor of the food. I am not sure if you have changed owners or management but it is not what it was. There are lots of other Thai places I would try before coming here. The service was good and we tipped accordingly hence they received 2 stars instead of 1. The food was rather disappointing as we do not get to go out to eat as often as we did each time counts more. I will not go out of my way to eat or recommend Bangkok Orchid anymore. We went at lunch maybe dinner they care a bit more. The lunch crowd here used to be popping as were only one of three tables I guess I am not the only one that feels this way.

We get to eat here occasionally as we are passing through, and we love it!
