The restaurant has a modern, clean, and welcoming ambiance, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of dishes that make it hard to choose where to start. We ended up ordering more than we could finish, but every single dish was incredible.

Appetizers:
We started with the sampler platter, which allowed us to try a little bit of everything. It was absolutely delicious and a great way to kick off the meal. The star of the appetizers, though, was the crispy deep-fried vermicelli. This unique dish is exclusive to Absolute Thai Cuisine in Houston, and it’s a must-try. The texture was perfectly crispy yet melted in your mouth, creating an unforgettable experience.

Salads:
The papaya salad was another highlight, prepared in an authentic Lao/Thai style with marinated crab for an exotic touch. The larb (ground pork salad) was equally amazing, with juicy, flavorful meat balanced by a refreshing squeeze of lemon.

Soups:
We tried the coconut shrimp soup, which was perfect for the winter season. The jumbo shrimp were fresh, clean, and perfectly cooked, and the creamy soup was bursting with flavor. My friend, who had never tried coconut soup before, absolutely loved it.

Main Courses:
The drunken noodles were exceptional, with the noodles themselves carrying so much flavor—something many places don’t get right. The green curry with shrimp was another standout. My friend, who initially planned to skip carbs, couldn’t stop eating it with rice because it was just that good.

One of the most creative dishes we tried was the Chiang Mai noodle with chicken katsu, a signature dish by the chef. Its presentation was stunning and the flavors were uniquely bold, making it a one-of-a-kind experience in Houston.

Dessert:
We wrapped up the meal with their mango sticky rice. The mango was perfectly ripe, sweet, and fresh, while the sticky rice was chewy and milky, creating a delightful combination.

Service and Presentation:
Every dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the chef’s dedication to detail. The portions were generous, especially considering the reasonable prices. Our waitress was knowledgeable, kind, and attentive without being intrusive, which added to the overall positive experience.

Drinks:
Don’t leave without trying their Thai iced tea! It’s rich, flavorful, and an absolute specialty.

The food is really delicious, the beef is tender 9/10 had it slightly overcooked once but it was still edible! I love the peanut curry (like panaang) and I ask for crispy noodles to put on top and the roti is really delicious as a side order. My husband likes the green curry, and the panaang. My only qualms are sometimes there isn't a lot of beef in the curry, other times there's plenty and every extra vegetable you add is like $3. Which is steep for some extra veg. But I just avoid doing that if possible! All in all 9/10 food!

Could not comment on the service as it was a “no rush” day. If they will be maintaining this consistency in taste and service, this will be my go to Thai restaurant in Katy. That too good

1. Food was decent except the fish cakes.
2. We came in with three adults and two children. The tips 25% was automatically applied on the bill which the service was not worth it.
- There were no silverware and napkins to use while the food were brought to the table (We had to ask for)
- The waiters did not check on us until we finished dinning.
- The waiters could had gently put the plate away while cleaning up the other tables because the noise was ruining the atmosphere.

The service was a lot better when we came to it’s Grand Opening. Sorry, we will no longer return to this restaurant.

The Khao Soi was fantastic! The creamy coconut curry was rich and flavorful. The mix of soft and crispy noodles made every bite satisfying. The iced green tea was refreshing and just right, not too sweet.
Large portion size, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere—highly recommend!

received the wrong order from door dash and so I called The Absolute Thai Cousin Resturant …. They were very understanding and extremely nice and sincere … I WAS SHOCKED THAT MY CORRECT ORDER WAS AT MY DOOR IN LESS THAN 20 m … THUMPS UO TO THIS RESTURANT AND ITS MANAGEMENT

Our family had a lovely experience for our first time dining-in. We ordered the Chingmai Noodles with Beef Ribs, Red Curry with Tofu & Veggies, Kids Noodle, Tom Jued Small soup, and Thai Tea. All items were delicious, fresh, and flavorful. The presentation of our meals was also another detail I appreciated. Our lovely waitress was very gracious and happy to chat about it being our first visit. She was helpful to my son (11) in choosing his meal, a bit of a foodie. He wanted a cup of broth with his kids noodle meal, hence why we ordered the Tom Jued soup. He loved them both. Upon departure she made another round to ask if there’s anything else I’d like to try (complimentary). She offered drink options, and I gave in to the Thai iced coffee. Delicious! Overall, we enjoyed the ambiance, service and Thai gastronomy. Will add them to our rotation of go-to spots.

First time coming here and the food was amazing! Ordered the yellow curry and it was delicious. Also the service was great and we received a complimentary iced tea and iced coffee ☺️ hope to return soon.

This is an authentic Thai restaurant..outstanding quality. We ordered Mee Krob for Appetizer, Tom Yum Spicy soup 🍲, Pad Kra Tiem and Pad Thai. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently came here with my parents and tried the restaurant for the first time. I have eaten Thai food only a few times so I was curious on how I was going to like it. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the servers are so incredibly nice. We even met the owner and she was so sweet to give us some recommendations on what to order! I loved the chicken Thai fried rice, most of what we ordered appeared authentic which is great. Overall great experience, will come again!

The restaurant charged us for "large party" 18% fee for 5 people. 2 adults and 3 kids. This is the ONLY restaurant I've encountered who considers 5 people as "large party." I asked the server about it and he said that it is 5 or more for large party. The General rule is 6 or more. Look it up! They also charged me more for the item that I ordered. I had to call on them about it as the menu price is different. They did change my total but had I not called on it, I would have been charged more. Not coming back mainly because of the automatic "large party" policy of the restaurant for 5 people. The food is not superior compared to other Thai restaurants I've tried for me to brush aside /be OK with this policy of the restaurant.

My two daughters and I are very disappointed with our dining experience tonight. When we came to the restaurant there were only 3 tables of people seated. I looked around several times as the staff brought food to the newer parties that were seated much later than us. We waited 25 min for appetizers (5 coconut shrimp and wings), and another hour plus to receive our entrees (2 orders of fried rice and an order of noodle soup). The waiter asked if I wanted a Thai iced tea on the house; I declined. I can’t believe she thought that was fair for the extreme lateness of food and overlooked order. I hated myself for not getting up over an hour ago, because this is unacceptable.. but my 12 year old begged me to stay because she really wanted to try this place. I wish it was a better experience, but sadly they failed us.

The service was friendly, quick, and very attentive. But the FOOD, OMG THE FOOD IS SOOOO GOOD! I got the basil chicken lunch special with an egg roll and it was fabulous. With a water my lunch was about $15. They even put a real flower in my dish that just made the aesthetic even better. Definitely found my new favorite place.

Thai food is one of our favorites; unfortunately, our favorite place is very far, so we don't go as frequent as wished. Driving by our area Absolute Thai Cuisine caught our eye and decided to give it a chance; so glad we did, is small very welcoming place with a calm ambience. The person who took care of us was polite and helpful without overdoing it and the food was delicious and fresh.
We will definitely go back.

The wait time here is wild. They don’t even offer you a seat or any apologies just ignore customers while they wait to pick up their order. The staff is flat out rude except for the new waiter.
The food has no flavor or value for your money’s worth. I ordered 5 different sauces and they were like left overs, barely half the container and no rice to go with the sauce. I have been to a few Thai restaurants and this is by far the worst.
If you’re looking for good Thai food, then go somewhere else.

We ordered the pineapple curry with chicken, red curry with shrimp, and the vegetable dumplings for take-out. The food was delicious! The dumplings were attractively presented and tasted great...but the curries...WOW! The curries were fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. The chicken was thinly sliced and oh-so-tender, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the spice level was enough to make us sweat a bit (in a good way!) My husband commented on the nice decor and soothing music, and said we should eat in next time, and check out the lunch specials, too. Very happy to have a Thai restaurant with such delicious food so close!

Got pad thai, red curry and pineapple fried rice all with chicken, all in all food was good but 4 out of 5 in heat intensity was a disappointment it was barely a 2 please keep it thai spicy and not white spicy.

The Thai tea and Green Thai tea were awesome. Yes, I ordered both. My green curry with veggies and soft tofu was really good. Mild was the right spice level for me. I will return.

We had an outstanding dining experience! The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful green curry with shrimp, while my wife raved about the delicious drunken noodle with chicken. Our 6-year-old son devoured his kid-friendly fried rice and left with a huge smile. We can't wait to come back! Be sure to try their refreshing Thai iced tea - it's a must!

My wife and i came here for lunch with my 5yr old after parent teacher day for lunch. My wife went for the Pad Thai, my daughter the children's noodles while i tried the Basil Fried Rice. This was the first time i have had this dish and it was lovely, especially as i had asked for tbe heat to be turned up to the max. We will defiantly be back, especially as there are lots of dishes I haven't seen at previous Thai restaurants to try.

I recommend the chicken pad Thai it was delicious I love noodles and I personally think they were cooked perfectly with amazing flavor it shows they take their time to provide great dishes & mango sticky rice. Wonderful customer service very friendly, welcoming, to myself and daughter’s received my food in a timely manner. Their bathroom was very clean and restaurant . I loved my experience and recommend it!

Last night I tried Yellow Curry and Wife Chicken Pad Thai. Outstanding found my go to for Thai

Wow, what an experience dining at Absolute Thai Cuisine! We saw this was newly opened and had already accumulated raving ratings so we went with high expectations, especially as we had visited Thailand three times before (and fell in love with the country and it's cuisine!). And this place does *not* disappoint!

Firstly, the menu has all the classics, but also a wide choice of options for all tastes. This being our first time here, we went with a choice of classics - Pad-Thai, the Tom Kha soup (coconut) and the pineapple fried rice. The food came out fast and, OMG, the taste... so many good memories brought back to life. Everything was delicious, well balanced and perfectly tasteful! Generous portions too. Must try the green Thai iced tea, it is phenomenal!

Secondly, the service was prompt, courteous and very friendly. We felt like regulars returning 2 min after walking in!

Needless to say, the restaurant is spotless and everything is brand new. Plentiful free parking around too.

Not much I can say beyond... go try this place, THIS is proper Thai food! In my opinion, this is the best Thai place in Katy and we'll be making this one a regular stop.

This is the best Thai I’ve had I don’t know in how long! We had roti dip and coconut shrimp for appetizer. Our entrees were massaman curry, which was delicious, the best I’ve had since Thailand and the green curry was fantastic!
