Malai Kitchen showcases a different side of Southeast Asian cuisine. Led by husband-and-wife team Braden and Yasmin Wages, the concept was inspired by their extensive travels through Thailand and Vietnam. Our team is committed to sourcing quality ingredients and preparing as much as possible from scratch.
Food was great! We ordered Chicken Karage appetizer, and lemongrass chicken bowl and glass noodles.. Turned out great! Their homemade sriracha sauce adds real flavor to food.. Service was great too.. quick and effecient.. The special drink was made of blueberry and hibiscus .. ok for me personally !
The restaurant offers exceptional dining experiences with attentive hospitality and service. On Friday evening, we enjoyed a meal with our toddler, infant, and four other adults. Despite the larger group, the service was remarkably efficient. The daily special, a delectable fish dish, was a highlight of our meal. I would very much want to come back and dine in again.
I recently visited their other location of Malai Kitchen, and as expected, it did not disappoint! This place has consistently delivered exceptional quality, and this visit was no different. I always order the cod with red curry, and it’s a dish that never fails to impress.
One of the best things about Malai Kitchen is their flexibility with the menu. They prepare your meal just the way you like it, making it feel like a dish made from scratch specifically for you. The attention to detail and willingness to cater to your preferences really sets this place apart. If you’re looking for a place that offers not only delicious food but also personalized service, Malai Kitchen is a must-visit.
Highly recommended!
Ok so, I dont usually leave a review, but my experience with Malai kitchen was phenomenal.
I ordered pad Thai, pineapple fried rice and spring roll via Uber eats.
Every single dishes were on point.
No after taste of artificial flavors. They were not salty, not oily neither too saucy which my husband and i most appreciated about.
We were exhausted from previous experience with numerous different thai restaurant.
It is really hard to find good thai food honestly, but we have found them finally!!!
Thank you so much for hard works and keeping this business on point👍
Oh and you should get mango sticky rice as well.
I mean seriously you wont be disappointed🥭
We had a lunch here yesterday at 2pm on a Saturday and I'd like to commend the foods and service on this location. The servers were very attentive and polite. Flavorful dishes from appetizer to dessert. Tried the fried Imperial rolls for an appetizer. Then the Panang Curry Bowl, lemongrass
Beef, sweet and sour crispy noodles. Then a mango sticky rice for the dessert. Server always checked on our drinks to make sure we got a refill. They deserved my 5-star review (",)

Love it here! My office order here one day & I loved it. So I went by to experience them in person. Very clean, very welcoming & the food is amazing! Hands down the best Thai food I’ve had in Dallas. The service is the best here, as everyone steps in & clear they work as a team here. Which I love! I had the pleasure to meet Michelle, as she is so attentive to all customers, her staff & the restaurant. So I had to share with her how I respect how she does her job. Melinda was our server & she was great! I look forward to returning.
It was a nice restaurant. I tried Malaysian food for first time. The waitress was really nice. She gave us good advice about the food and drink, and two complementary sticky rice orders. The most popular dish of the restaurant is Drunken Noodles. The cocktail for two (I forgot the name) is very fruity and has a note of wood, was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant
We went here for dinner and had an amazing experience! I had an allergy to seafood and they were able to accommodate this very well. Staff members were super friendly and helped us take amazing Polaroid pictures. Wll definitely come back next time!
Excellent Thai Vietnamese food friendly staff
I love this place, they have amazing Thai food but im leaving this review in honorary mention of the mango sticky rice dessert. I’ve returned here multiple times for that alone. I moved across the United States for a while and that dessert was still on my mind. The atmosphere here is great, service is 10/10, and the food is amazing. No complaints. If you’re looking for great Thai food with a great experience, this is your place. And don’t think about skipping dessert for a single second!

Attended a birthday party here in the party room. It was very nice and they accommodated us very well, we ended up with a few extra people showing up and they quickly arranged things for us. The staff was very nice and got all of our many orders right. The prices for happy hour on Sundays is great. The food and cocktails were all great, the in-house beers are great (I had the porter 🤌). Overall would definitely recommend, and plan to return if I get the chance 👏
My husband and I went to brunch on a quiet Sunday and the service, food, and atmosphere was fantastic. As soon as we sat down we were greeted and given water, ordered our drinks, and handed complimentary sticky rice with a mildly spicy eggplant dip that was phenomenal.
We started with the edamame and chicken satay. Chicken was tender and cooked well, and the edamame was a great snack to pair with their in-house beers.
I got the small Vietnamese soup (add the egg!), and it was perfectly portioned, noodles were great, and the broth was so flavorful. My husband got the frittata and it was also excellent and was a HUGE portion. Our server Caylee was attentive and friendly. All of the service staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back for another visit.
The kind of place you want to write home about. Sea bass with lemongrass broth was unreal and the staff is so kind
Right around the corner from work, l'm a frequent customer and love their consistency when it comes to food and outstanding customer service. Some of my favorite dishes include the tuna tartare, banh mi, pad thai, chicken satay, and the meatballs. Some of the superstars that always provide excellent service include: Solara (charming & pleasant), Kaylee, Silus, Marco, Karimae, Taylor, Melanie, and Yasmin
Always a pleasure to grab a bite and catch up with the group!
Did you dine in, take out, or get delivery?
Sat at the bar and Solara was fantastic…great recommendation (black cod special with crispy kale), solid wines and engaging conversation as always!
Malai is a wonderful spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. 10/10
Delicious! Fresh! Friendly staff! Ambiance made it excellent.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and presentation. The sticky rice appetizer with secret recipe dip was light and scrumptious. My friend’s Trout looked fabulous and he almost licked the platter clean. My shrimp pad thai spicy was just the perfect amount d spicy and oh so delicious. Highly recommend and would definitely return for another wonderful dining experience.
I’ve been ordering for pick-up, dining and meeting my friends here in this restaurant. After my husband and I fell in love with Malai’s food back in West Village, we found out that they also have this location. This location in Preston Center is more closer to us. This is our to-go restaurant whenever we go out to dine. We always get their delicious xiu mai or Vietnamese meatballs, Thai chicken wings, mango sticky rice and Thai iced tea. Last time, I also tried some of their menu. Ambience has a fancy vibe. Service was always great. Everything was superb.
Went to visit this restaurant after a year and they were still consistent with service, quality, and efficiency. Love dining here.
Improvement with over all culture is what I believe needs to be implemented.
Mangers yelling at servers across the restaurant. Mangers drinking right after there shift at the bar. From my understanding multiple servers quit in the same week from the same reasonings. The manger not only micromanages the servers but then changes their schedules over night the servers and host are what keeps this restaurant going they are amazing. However, if management continues to fall short in being respectful, responsible, and fully unethical the servers will continue to leave .
The culture and management is unique in many ways who's to say that's a good or bad thing.
-Disclaimer- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion go apply and create to your own...
Based on previous experiences not every experience will be as unsettling as mine or others.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is so classy and the lighting in the restaurant makes it super intimate! I loved their pad thai with chicken! their eggplant sauce with the sticky rice was super good! would definitely come back again!
Disappointed.
First time going food was excellent, second time not so good, third time worse.
Everything was great. The ambience was relaxing and our server Solara was the best. We went there for the Mango Sticky rice and it was amazing. I would definitely go back to get the same dessert and I would literally ask for Solara to be our server again because she added a personal touch to make the dessert and dinner special.
Andreas customer service was amazing. She is a great server and has perfected attentiveness. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent Thai Food. I really liked the atmosphere. Their beer is horrible so don't waste your money on their beer. I don't believe they offer any beer other than their own.
I don’t leave reviews but man this was so good
Anthony did great, lamb chops were amazing.
Amazing food, amazing service. Will come again and again.
The mango rice is the best I tried ever.. I almost cried.
I really didn’t care of any of their dishes. Pad Thai was salty. Served was excellent. I thought the food would be better when they said they make everything at restaurant even their noodles.
I would like to say my first time here was the best dining experience I have ever had an my wife fully agreed. The attention to detail in every regard was so impressive. I was blown away. Shout out to my waiter Cyrus he made our first time there so awesome!
Fantastic dining experience! This location has an ALL-STAR crew and VERY GOODT food! My visit was made memorable by Cyrus, Jasmine and Taylor! Taylor is apart of the leadership/management team and she WORKS along side the team. She was able to guide me through the menu and I will say that she has a GREAT palate for menu suggestions. I felt welcomed and was well fed. Ohhh another fun thing about the location is the handmade fresh noodles made onsite. There's a window where you can watch the process. How cool is that!?! I maybe bias but this is THEE BEST Malai Kitchen location. I would love for you to give it try and let me your experience!
I love the food! It’s great. I don’t know our waitresses name but she was lovely and was so kind! She had a red nose ring. Everyone in the staff is great except for one guy at the bar, who wears black round glasses. He kept staring at me and watched me walk to the bathroom, where he then caught me outside of and asked for my number. Made me very uncomfortable, it’s not professional in anyway to follow someone to the bathroom. I hope he doesn’t do this to anyone else. Other than that my experience was lovely.
I recently visited their other location of Malai Kitchen, and as expected, it did not disappoint! This place has consistently delivered exceptional quality, and this visit was no different. I always order the cod with red curry, and it’s a dish that never fails to impress.

Highly recommended!
A bit pretentious. I tried the pho. Meat and noodles were good, but the broth...like dishwater. Not good. Shrimp spring rolls were good, though, and so was the lager brew. But stay away from the pho.
Excellent restaurant, I love this place. This was my second time eating here. The food is delicious and very well proportioned. I enjoyed a noodle chicken entree. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. I will be returning. I Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
Great place if you’re looking for a variety of Thai and Viet food. The service was awesome, our waiter was very attentive and really knew her stuff. The Viet coffee was delicious. They also give you a sticky rice starter with a eggplant sauce, (complementary) and really good ! I would deff come back if I was in the area again !
Malai Kitchen in Dallas is a great spot for lunch! I go there occasionally, and their Thai basil chicken is always a winner—so flavorful! The food is consistently good, though the service can be a bit slow sometimes. Still, the friendly staff and cozy vibe make it worth the wait. Four stars for tasty food and a nice dining experience!
My goodness. This place opened up my eyes not only that, the waiter was extremely amazing, good spirit, energetic, very sincere and concerned, and made sure everything in every way was perfect. I will definitely be back again and again. Wonderful atmosphere and great service from everyone.
Ordered to go on a Sunday night for dinner. We got the usuals, pad Thai and pad see ew. Both dishes had noodles that were over cooked to the point that it was mushy. It was not edible since we felt like we were eating baby food. This was such a huge disappointment since it was our first time trying this place out and wanted to love it. I think we’ll just stick to other Thai food places around the area because this place was not good at all.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server Erix was very polite and attentive to all our needs. Highly recommend him.
I love the happy hour mix and match apps, very cool they brew their own beer, and the staff is welcoming and helpful
Expert service, delicious and inventive dishes all with a wonderful interior is what awaits you at this Malai Kitchen. We’ve been coming to this location for the past 2 years and it continually gets better. All the staff are wonderful but in particular, Kaylie has been a superb server and we’ve loved talking with her at our visits; in addition to her Tyler has been hilarious and makes sure we have a great experience. They both go above and beyond time and time again. So if you’re looking for a lunch or dinner location please give Malai Kitchen a try, you won’t be disappointed.
See the egg congee, ribs, and lamb shank curry, all great options.
Hosted a happy hour for our organization here and staff was super attentive and nice and food was great!
I recently dined at Malai Kitchen and overall, the food was good. The flavors were well-balanced and the presentation was impressive. However, I felt that the taste could've been elevated to another level. While the dishes were tasty, I was expecting a more pronounced and dynamic flavor profile. Nonetheless, the quality of ingredients and the attention to detail in the cooking process were commendable. With a bit more emphasis on enhancing the taste, Malai Kitchen could truly deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Absolutely delicious food with your spice level of choice. Atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming with great service. My partner enjoyed the house beer let just say we came and dined once and came back a couple days later for take out and got the exact same quality of service.
Local friends picked the place and it was really good!
There are levels to Thai cuisine- I’ve stuck to pad thai tried many places around DFW
Here’s the thing- I actually taste my noodle ( each stands) and feels like the chef personally blessed -
The food is always fresh
One of my favorites thai places
Everything is always amazing
The chicken coconut soup and Panang curry are delicious. The ahi tuna tartare disappointingly lacked flavor. I was expecting sliced 🍣 not chopped. You need to order delivery as there is More seating than parking and there’s always a wait.
This is my first time at this location as I usually go to uptown location. I can say it definitely lived up to uptown location. I ordered Peanut-Encrusted Ruby Trout. Fish was fresh tasting and the flavorful. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Place was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. Will cont to go back to both locations as they are both amazing !!!
The food and service are consistently good each time we go. If it's your first time try the sampler platter and drunken noodles. You can't go wrong with those. The staff is always fun and friendly and they pay attention to the details.
My date night at Malai Kitchen was absolutely delightful! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The food was exceptional, with bold flavors and beautifully presented dishes that truly impressed us. The menu offers a great selection of options, and everything we tried was top-notch. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience even further. Whether you're a local or just passing through the area, I highly recommend Malai Kitchen for a memorable and delicious dining experience. We'll definitely be back for more!
Had lunch at Malai yesterday and the food, service... Everything was amazing. Tyler was very helpful when we were trying to decide on lunch. We wanted to order so many things. Definitely recommend Malai Kitchen and Tyler. The mango sticky rice came in a coconut.... Ahhhh. Sooo good. Will definitely be back.
Yammy.
The staff is kind.
Parking is not easy sometimes.
Best Thai food. Everything is really fresh
Amazing food and stuff. We will be back.
Delicious food great service amazing staff especially Sakoun and Tyler.
We had a double date here on a Thursday evening and had an incredible time. Since there were four of us, we decided to order and share everything family style. We were able to try a variety of dishes and while they were all great, we enjoyed some that we would like to recommend.
Our friends suggested we order the mussels and “meatballs” to start. Both appetizers were great and because they are so different, it is difficult to recommend one over the other. The “meatballs” were more of a pressed patty. They were fun to try since you wrap the meat, mint, basil, and greens in a lettuce leaf and then dip. The mussels were delectable and served in a in a little pot with a coconut broth.
Our second course was a taste of the Thai Lemongrass Soup with Shrimp and Rice. I really enjoyed trying this and would order it again.
We then ordered two entrees to split between the four of us. I always enjoy Pad Thai but Malai Kitchen has a wonderful Pad Kee Mow. If you only order one thing here, try the Drunken Noodles.
We finished our evening with the Mango Sticky Rice Smash.
Our tab was really high due to eating everything and having numerous cocktails each! This was a personal choice and experience for us and not required to have a wonderful experience here.
The atmosphere is really beautiful and I especially loved and appreciated the glass wine room. The service we received was very attentive and not overbearing.
If you’re thinking about trying this place, do! It is a great experience.
Craving Thai food after moving to Dallas, and finally found a go-to place after 2 years. Everything is great, the food, ambience and service. There are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from.
I don't get the hype. It's ok. Save your money and go-to a local Thai place
Perfect place for high end Thai food
This is our favorite Thai place in all of Dallas. We have never had a disappointing dish here. Everything is so delicious, colorful, and vibrant. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, multiple servers will make sure everything is taken care of, especially Kaylee who is always pleasant and welcoming. We always look forward to our next night out at Malai!
Can't say enough good things about the food. We had the ribs and the spicy basil chicken. I can't wait to go back! Our waitress, Anna, was super sweet, positive, and had great suggestions.
Delicious food, good service and a diverse menu. Looking forward to going back next time I'm in town.
I love that they have house draft/craft beers, the jungle IPA is my favorite, they have large variety of rice noodles curries and Thai seafood, staff is very friendly, you can customize any item, and the spicy level. I would recommend the drunken noodle or the yellow curry. And they also have brunch. 5 stars
Few nights back I had dinner at Malai kitchen and it exceeded my expectations at this restaurant. The ambiance was warm, the service attentive, and the menu offered a delightful variety. The dishes were expertly crafted, from appetizers to dessert, each course left a lasting impression. Banh Mi Vietnamese Sandwich was the best dish I had at this place. It's a place I'd recommend to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.
Everything was great! The food was amazing. The service was great, everyone was so attentive and very friendly. Restaurant was beautiful, will definitely be going back.
Great service and love the ambiance! The food was phenomenal.
Went in on a whim and was very impressed. 4/5 stars cause I felt like my drunken noodles needed more sauce, which they gave me and I added the homemade Sriracha. Next time, I'm getting the Vietnamese coffee from their giant cold brew maker.
Amazing service and food. Great ambience too
The outside of this place is nice! Great area too. Service was nice and very lively inside. Had noodles and appetizers that were all tasty. Spicy. Nothing but positive and I came during lunch.
First time here, everything tastes delicious and is fresh. We got the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Yellow Curry. Also the coconut cream pie was amazing! Tons of gluten free options as well, which was so nice. Service was great, and the atmosphere was also relaxing. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back here!
This is a hidden gem! Menu is great with options I've not seen before. We had the shrimp salad with avocado and it was delicious. The imperial rolls were awesome and discounted during happy hour, which is all day on Sunday. Staff are amazing 😍. If you like Thai food definitely try this place.
5 star food, 5 star service, 5 star all the way!
Service was perfect, food was very good. It was late so not much going on but will surely visit again.
First time having authentic Thai food and it was great. Since they're a scratch kitchen, you can ask for adjustments, determine the level of spice you prefer, etc. It gets better -- they're also a microbrewery. The Jungle IPA is amazing -- I was a little hesitant given that it's 8% alcohol and my experience is that the alcohol at that level overpowers the flavor of the beer -- but it didn't. It was great, highly recommend the location, food , and beer. FYI, they have a great outdoor eating area -- it was 108 degrees outside, but they lowered clear coverings and turned on the AC and it's a great place for families with kids.
Do yourself a favor and order double portion of meat where you can. Makes another meal!!
I don’t review places often but I had to review Malai Kitchen because it was soo great! Food was over the top tasty! Lots of choices. The staff has such a great attitude and is very helpful. My wife has several allergies and they were very accommodating and helped her figured out what to eat and made modifications with no problem. We can here two days in a row while we were in town and will definitely come back when we’re in Dallas again.
The food is AMAZING! Fresh and delicious! They make so many items from scratch and are able to meet allergy restrictions. Cannot say enough about the staff from the front of the house to the back of the house. I will come here whenever I am in the area. Actually I will go out of my way to come here! Delicious! Make sure you try their infused teas and coffee! 😋
It's are very authentic food.
Very delicious food. It will gives you asian food vibes.
Everything, and I mean everything about this place, was absolutely AMAZING. The food?? Delicious. The people? attentive and quick. The atmosphere? Relaxing and inviting. 10000% can't wait to be back!
Great stuff. So glad I was introduced to this place.
Whheeewww... the food and service were running 🏃🏽♂️ a very TIGHT race! The food was sooo GOODT! And to top the food, my server EDUARDO C. was PHENOMENAL! He has such a beautiful willing spirit! Both him as well as the manager, Reed / Reid truly created an elevated dining experience. I definitely would recommend this location, and when you get here, ask for EDUARDO C!
We had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was very fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and the staff were very accommodating. Eduardo was our server and he went above and beyond in serving us. He recommended really good food options, took very good care of us and our toddler, served our food on time and helped us pack all our food. We definitely recommend this restaurant!
Eduardo and Kevin are excellent servers and just a Ray of sunshine! I will be back! Keep up the good work!
Eduardo C was amazing!
Had the lemongrass beef & it was fantastic. The staff was very nice & it was a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend.
We've been going to the Malai Kitchen west village location for years (I credit it getting us through quarantine). The quality and service there has been great throughout the years, but whenever restaurants expand, the secondary locations tend to not be as good. But we were so happy with our dinner here on Monday night! We ordered two appetizers - the shishito peppers (be careful, we got a few spicy ones!) and meatball, red curry to share for dinner, and the mango sticky rice smash. Everything was as good as the original location. It's been a while since I've had the mango sticky rice, it was so delicious and so well presented, I could eat it everyday!
The resultant ambiance was also very nice, good flow to the restaurant and intimate tables for two. The service was also attentive for how busy it was.
Came here with a few colleagues and we had a wonderful dinner. Our server Bryanna did a great job taking care of us. The food was delicious- loved the tuna tartare appetizer! The wine list was amazing and very well priced. Hope to come back soon.
The food is incredible. i have loved every thing ive tried!
达拉斯比较好的,泰国菜
Greg was awesome
Wish there were more stars to give.
First time trying Malai Kitchens with the Mrs. and to say that we enjoyed our visit would be an understatement! Let me first preface this by saying I am a foodie. I love to cook, grill, smoke, bake, watch, and devour food. So, I apologize to any and all Thai/Vietnamese food traditionalists or snobs, not mutually exclusive or inclusive of the other, that may take offense to this rating.
However, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we had; some dishes more than others, but this was an experience. First, we couldn't decide on the appetizers; thankfully, Greg, our wonderful and helpful waiter, suggested the sampler. We added the (4) grill fired prawns with the ruby red grapefruit. Our least favorite of the sampler was the Chicken Satay ( my personal suggestion would be to toss it in the wok or season it with whatever they tossed and fired the prawns in), the Ahi Tuna Spring rolls very herbaceous and delightful, the Vietnamese Meatballs were actually patties but very well complimented by the lettuce wrap and herbs, our favorite of the sampler were the Imperial Rolls (light, crispy, and savoury). Can't wait to come back to try the Samosas.
For the entree, I couldn't decide between the lambshank or ribs; I asked Greg, and he said both were good, but the ribs were his favorite. Shockingly, I had leftover Memorial Day ribs for lunch but ordered the ribs anyway; I'm very happy I did. The ribs were nicely complimented by the Thai Papaya Slaw and green curry rice noodles. The slaw was a tarty/tangy herbal embrace that just hugged the ginger ribs and semisweet green curry noodles and dared me to eat them apart. The Curry beer for me, was the winner of the night. Oh, how I wished that we had chosen to eat outside and that I had a cigar with me. Ordering the beer was an afterthought after I smashed the Bourbon Smash and wanted something to wash dinner down. I asked Greg to bring me a beer with the entree, 6% abv or higher; he suggested the curry beer. I was expecting it to lend itself to more of a hoppy, sipping beer, but it was every bit malty, smooth, and not overly bitter or sweet. Mr. Wages needs to bottle that damn beer and ship it to Central Market, Trader Joes, Total Wine, or somewhere where i can readily add it to my cart.
I wasn't paying attention when Greg and my wife were discussing the menu as he tried to assist her with making a decision and not going with her safe option shrimp or chicken Pad Thai. When her meal came to the table she was quite pleased. After offering me a bite, I was pleasantly moved by the intense wok seasoning and flavor of the dish (it was a generous serving of chicken, shrimp, and tofu). Disappointed that we didn't order the shrimp chips, we placed a side order for $3 more. When they came to the table, it was "wholly shrimp chicarrones Batman." The chips were light, crunchy, lightly dusted, and very tasty. In fact, we enjoyed them so much, Greg suggested we try them with the crab dip our next time in. We could go as spicy as we'd like. "What the hell Greg", I think we'll have some of that damn crab dip extra spicy. The owner/chef brought the crab out to the table with the additional shrimp chips; we had a great discussion as we complimented our food. We talked so long he felt the need to apologize for distracting us from our meal. It was like eating a deconstructed Lump Crab Cake, minus the remoulade, with the light, flavorful, shrimp chip and the spicy delicacy of the crab. The amount of crab was like 2 or 3 jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with no stuffing to give the elusion of a lot of crab. The only things stuffed were the wife and I. I was literally throwing in the towel when Greg informed us that Mr. Wages, the owner, insisted that we not leave before trying desert, not 1 but 2 deserts; compliments of the house.
We ordered the Coconut Creme Pie and the Peanut Chili Chocolate Roti. The Roti was good, but the Coconut Creme Pie was the favorite. It looked more intimidating than it ate; it is the Bob Sapp of deserts; big but throws a light punch. A1 experience top to bottom. We'll be back soon.
Delicious food, great service, we sat on the patio which was really nice and had air conditioning, but the inside was really pretty too.
Went in today with my friend, service was great, very patient and helpful. We Had the vegetarian curry, and the chicken and waffles, no complaints from either, they were delicious. Best part however, the coffee, best iced coffee I’ve had in North Dallas.
Great food and cocktails, and great service!
Good food & ambience
HORRRIBLE! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!
I ordered two days ago an entrée at the Uptown location for $15. Today, I ordered the same entree from the Preston Center location PLUS $14 additional worth of protein and noodles additions. However, I received exactly the same amount of food. The owner and corporate manager tried their best to “make me happy”, but all they did was make excuses for why two of their restaurants serve different customers in different economic zones different amounts of food.
THIS PLACE IS SCAM! AVOID IT AND SHOW THEM WE DON’T DESERVE TO PAY MORE SIMPLY BECAUSE WE CAN AFFORD IT ON OUR AREA! Horrible!!!!
The food was edible. I ordered a pad see ew. The dish had bean sprouts on the top(why?), and the noodles were too sweet for my enjoyment. There was no spiciness. Our waiter was definitely not attentive to our table and had trouble with math on the bill. My cup was empty for quite a while, and by the time he bothered to ask, we were ready to leave.
I usually finish my meal or take it to go but in this case I didn't enjoy the food.
Unfortunately, this place caters heavily to the western palate. (High sugar, no spice)
The staff was very polite, the decor was nice, but I won't be going here again.
Had a weekend lunch here during my trip to Dallas. Excellent service and delicious food. I liked the fact that the food was spiced right and didn't have to be mentioned upfront. We had the Burmese tea salad as appetizer which was crunchy and tasty. The pineapple fried rice had the right amount of spiciness and sweetness. Pad Thai was good as well. They have a nice ambience and wide booths for big groups. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience from start to finish! Had the chicken pad Thai which was excellent. Followed up with the mango sticky rice for dessert, and ended with the Vietnamese coffee. Sat on the patio on a beautiful afternoon. Very attentive wait staff. Excellent experience and can't wait to come back again!
Came in and on two occasions I was blatantly disregarded, overlooked and NOT served, 1st time I chunked it up as busy, the 2nd time it was extremely disrespectful to sit alone at a bar for over 15mins and no services and as soon as 2 white gentlemen sat at the bar out popped the bartender. As a black person, that truly made me feel embarrassed and disrespected. I will NEVER come to this particular location again. Signed an EX REGULAR customer
If you are here you have to try the Thai sweet tea! It’s the closest you’ll get to southern sweet tea in Texas!
The atmosphere, the flavor, the diversity of the menu>>> 10/10 perfect place for an afternoon or evening out! Can be chill but also go enough for a Lowkey date night!
Malai Kitchen brings Thailand to Dallas! Came here for brunch with a friend and his girlfriend who was visiting Dallas. I'm so glad we decided to come here 😊
One of the best food presentations I've seen! Service was outstanding - they were so intentional with giving us great food recommendations and ensuring we have a good time. They truly make you feel at home. Definitely recommend the sticky rice with peanut sauce for an appetizer. I had the Hoi an Hash which was tremendously tasteful! The moment the food provides a splash of Thai flavor and stands formidable as one of the best, if not the best, Thai restaurants in Dallas! I will go out of my way to come here again. The ambiance is classy with a touch of friendliness!
I asked my friend to share some of his and his girlfriend's thoughts. Here they are before:
Mitzi's favorite was your hash; my favorite was the eggs benedict! And I actually thought the egg from Mitzi's omelet was tastier than the egg from the hash... though she had opposing thoughts and thought the egg from the hash was better! Haha. Definitely, those biscuits from the eggs benedict were the perfect level of crispiness though. And I have to admit that the waiter's suggestion of dipping the sticky rice into the peanut sauce was probably the biggest power move of the afternoon haha 🙂
Delicious food and drinks. Service was also excellent! Look forward to returning for a great date night.
I placed an online pickup order for pad kee mow and headed straight over. It wasn't quite ready yet, so I grabbed a seat at the bar. A white coat brought the food over to me when it was ready and apologized for the wait.
When I returned to my desk to eat and took that first bite...I can promise you...I was not worried about the 5 minute wait! The noodles were fresh. The steak was tender. This is now my new favorite lunch spot.
I will be back with friends to try some cocktails and apps!
First time visiting this spot - it was highly recommended by a friend. There is no question as to why she recommended it, this place is delicious! I had the spicy basil chicken and it was outstanding. Everyone I was with said their meal was also delicious. Really friendly and fast service too!
I was pleasantly surprised at thos restaurant. Great waitress and food was really good. They have lunch specials during the week that I highly recommend. I'll be back for sure. Nice and clean atmosphere, too.
The food is nothing short of amazing, with an explosion of flavors that will tantalize your taste buds. This is a gem of a restaurant that truly deserves all the praise it gets.
Loved it, loved the food, prices and service
This was our first time to this location. The place is very nice and not as crowded as the west village location. Staff was excellent and had a very good understanding of the cuisine. We made lot of adjustments in the food due to preference and there were no issues. Will definitely recommend this place to our friends.
Great food and service. Thai with a little twist.
