I'm plant based ( vegan) and the chef came out to explain that they use oyster sauce in most of their dishes but if im vegan that they will make a sauce to accommodate that. I really appreciate how informative, helpful, and nice everyone is!! I ordered the broccoli with oyster mushroom, fried tofu, and added mixed veggies !!! Veggie Spring rolls are so good too!!! I will definitely be a loyal customer!! My compliments to the chef Hana!! ☺☺☺

Simply Thai is a smaller restaurant off the beaten path. Their food is really good quality. I especially enjoy the massaman curry and spicy basil fried rice from here. Everyone who works here is always lovely and I’ve enjoyed dining there and picking up for takeout.

Edit: this a super small business and they only ever seem to have a couple of people working so getting your food takes awhile. It’s delicious and I get that so I’ve started ordering for pick up to avoid the wait. When you call to place an order you’re usually told it’s a 40-45 minute wait. Problem is, when coming in after the wait, there have been times that they’ve not even started the order! So you sit there another 25 minutes at that point. The food is great but unless I’m in a mood to wait, I’ve started going to other Thai spots that I don’t have to waste my time at.

This was a classy place! Panang was absolutely excellent. My only complaint is for the price I wish you got a bit more.

Amazing customer service. I went after they had closed. I work nights so not many places open. She owner/manager seen me turn around and leave. She came outside and offered to cook for me after they were closed. I ordered noodles and they were so good. I really appreciate how far she went to make sure I not hungry. It looks like a hole in the wall in a sketchy strip mall, but the food is amazing!! Everything is fresh, fragrant, and flavorful. Give this place a try, it is probably the best Thai in Dekalb County.

We had their pad Thai, drunken noodles, spring rolls and everything was DELICIOUS! One of the best spring rolls I’ve ever had and I’ve had many. Customer service was also amazing and staff was super friendly. This is may be our new go-to Thai restaurant. Will definitely be back!

I really have enjoyed this restaurant over the last few months. The food is delicious and you can customize your level of spice. They recently hired two hostesses who cover hostess duties, the bar and takeout, who are just so sweet and welcoming that you feel right at home. They were so sweet to my son when we were waiting and gave him a complementary drink when they saw he was starting to get antsy. The place is designed and decorated beautifully and I love how fresh and clean it feels. They don't really have anything that my picky eater/child will eat, but that is ok. They seem to be always improving and growing. Check them out!

I just tried this establishment yesterday around 530pm, and it was amazing. The atmosphere was friendly, and sort of fancy, but not so fancy to where I thought I couldn't afford the place. Also the designs and characters posted up made the vibe perfect. Like I could tell they were serious about their business and food, but also that they had fun.

The customer service was amazing and kind.

And lastly, the food. I had Tea Rose dumplings for an app, and I devoured them in like seven seconds. Normally when I try new places I get two entrees, but only if I really like the first. I loved the Pad Prik with chicken. It was a very simple dish,but I could tell the it was handled with care because of the flavors of stew. I tried the Spicy Basil Fried Rice next when I was back home, and that was even better. Give this place a try. I think their prices are fair, and the food amazing. They also seemed to have a large alcoholic beverage (domestic and foreign) selection which I didn't partake in, but maybe next time.

Had lunch today and had couple of observations:
1-Value for money not so impressed paid $10 for lemongrass soup which had 2 small pcs of shrimp 1 thin slice of button mushroom,
2-Taste: the taste was good,
3- speed of service: we sat down for 45min and had the soup and soup after 20min and had to get the rest of the food Togo as we were in a lunch schedule
Over all price: overpriced for the value

Food is just basic, wait time is 50min, so, try sth else plz

I remember this place many years ago - so good. What a change.

Very few patrons in the place and incredibly slow service. The value for what you get is just not there. At least as it relates to two of the items we ordered. We are still waiting on our entree for what’s going on a hour now, and I not sure it’s actually going to show up. Very disappointing.

Food is of good taste, but it's costly. The quantity of the food that is given is very less for the price being charged.

This restaurant does one thing and does it really well: Thai food in a clean, modern, cozy atmosphere. I ordered take out and it was the best pad thai I've ever had in my life, packed with care and full of crispy, creamy tofu. I actually originally called during peak hours and was told that they couldn't take more orders at that time but to try again in an hour, and sure enough an hour later they were able to accommodate. I strongly respect a restaurant that knows the quality and care they put in is a priority. I was especially impressed by my server waiting until I was there to make my thai iced tea with precision and craftsmanship so that it wasn't just sitting before I got there. Every step of the way showed that someone cared, a lot.

Arguably the best Thai place in town. Their coconut soup is out of this world. Curry is very balanced. Drunken noodles - delicious! Even though they mostly do Thai staples, everything has their signature taste. You are in for a discovery

Environment is posh and elegant, so it is a great place to take your date on a "restaurant discovery" date, so you two will have this hidden gem of a place to share. One thing though, it is not a fast food! They don't pre-cook, and it takes a little bit of time. I have looked over the reviews and the speed of service is main problem most folks are having. I suppose it is because of the expectations usually associated with the "fast food" places.

This used to be our go to Thai place for a while but my experiences over the last couple of months have been disappointing to the point that I think we just have to find another Thai place. The food is standard to slightly better than average Thai fare. The issue is the price and the poor estimates for wait times. The servings have definitely gotten much smaller. And without fail the last few times I've gone they'll tell me the food will be ready in 45 mins (which is fine, I don't have an issue with waiting at home for food to be ready - I get that all restaurants are short staffed) but when I show up to pick up, I've been forced to wait an additional 30 mins to 45 mins at the counter, making me feel like they haven't even started making my food until I've arrived. Since this error had occurred multiple times in a row it's not an isolated incident. The search therefore continues for my next take out thai place!

Chef’s kiss. We love this place so much. The owner/chef is a precious human, who is consistently kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is clean and cute and well put together. This combined with the quality of the food makes it a reliable and easy go to choice for us.

We love Simply Thai! The food is sooo good and the atmosphere is really cute. Their spring rolls are fresh and come out hot, the Tom Kha Kai soup is also light and fresh. The lamb basil dish is an absolute standout. The lamb is perfectly cooked and the sauce with it is heavenly. The drunken noodles were a good execution of the classic. The Pad Prik King with beef is another great dish. It’s definitely spicy but I like spicy. My mother in law was very happy with her Four Seasons with shrimp and the the mushroom and broccoli entree was also tasty. I highly recommend this spot!

A great find for a family who loves Thai cuisine. Fancy decor and awesome food which tasted fresh and made with a balance of everything! For my husband to say "the place is on the must come back list" after the first bite is something! We ate every morsel even my picky 5 year old who said she wasn't hungry. We've been coming to this place for years. Not very frequently, but when we want Thai food we know where to go. It's a nice place with a fresh decorum, and a wine list good enough to support their menu.
Food was excellent as always. It was served by the chef, so they could save some on servers. Not a problem at all, the place was just busy enough for this strategy to work, and it also added very personal touch to our experience. In this demanding times it's actually good to cut corners if that doesn't affect the dining experience at the slightest.

My new office is located in Dunwoody so I've been trying a lot of thai places in the area and Simply Thai is by far the tastiest spot!! Their food is full of so much flavor and they use a lot of basil in their dishes. The coconut soup is delicious and they have phenomenal drunken noodles. I get takeout here often and my order is always correct when I pick it up. Sometimes the service can be slow, so maybe not great if your on a tight schedule for lunch, but it's definitely worth it.

Could I give 0 stars? This used to be my favorite local Thai restaurant. After a change in ownership, it’s been disappointment after disappointment after disappointment. They remodeled. Who cares? It was fine. New ownership. Why not build on the initial success? Today’s experience was lunch... 10 minutes after seating to get water, 20 more minutes to get the straw I requested for my water (after I walked around the restaurant looking for one), 50 minutes for basic (expensive - $12) meal and, when asking for an update on when we’d receive our order were told the reason for the delay was “ we’re busy”. Seriously?!?! They weren’t that busy and, if they were, that’s a high-class problem for a business. Also, worth noting since new ownership, there’s been a price increase of 30-50% for every item on the menu. Absolutely horrible! Will not be back!!!

This USED to be my favorite local area Thai food. Restaurant had closed sign and I was so disappointed. Very happy when they reopened saying they had remodeled. What was really 'remodeled' were the lunch offerings and prices. Don't believe the website. It still shows the old offerings and prices. I had Pad Thai ($12) with Chicken (+$2) for lunch. No longer get a cup of the wonderful soup so I don't know if the quality of the soup is gone as well. But the Pad Thai was flavorless and the chicken was dry and rubbery. Companion ordered expecting online menu prices and 'splurged' for Pad Thai with both chicken and shrimp. Expected $12 meal was a whopping $19! And NO soup! Basil spring rolls served uncut. Try to eat that. Won't be back. Sadly priced yourselves out of business.

The food was great. My guest and I had the drunken Pad Thai and normal pad thai. Both with chai tea and the cheesy roll-up for an appetizer. I don't think the food and the prices quite match nor the proportions but nevertheless the food was good. I am one of those people that do not like to wait very long on food and I literally watched two people order their food eat and leave before I received mine and I was the first one in this restaurant to make an order.

Something has definitely changed at my favorite Thai spot. When I say I loved this place I did. I ate here so often the owner knew me and my voice, this ended near the summers end. New staff for sure, I believe new ownership. They would be open sometimes and other times not. However, the food is the clincher, no longer is it delicious. It tastes funny and the meat selections are down market, the smell was even off...I hate I won’t be back. I’ve tried twice now and both times displeased. (Sigh)

Favorite Thai in the Dunwoody area. Love the spicy basil fried rice with chicken, the coconut soup, and the thai drunken noodles. Spiciness tends to run towards extra spicy, so order accordingly if you are sensitive to very spicy foods. Vegetarian spring rolls are good, but pass on the crunchy cheese rolls.

This place deserves far better than 3.9 great service, great food. Highly recommend!

Very tasty Thai food

This is my go-to for Thai food. Small intimate atmosphere and great food!! If you like spicy,try the drunken noodles.

The restaurant was empty when me and my friend went in, they wanted to give us small table, we asked for booth but they refused to seat us there and said it's for three or more people. We just walked out to neighbour restaurant.

Sometimes tasty food but portion size for food and wine is very small, takes an hour for lunch. Food is inconsistent in terms of spice levels. Customer service is horrible, owner is rude.

The worst customer service. They told me my food was cooking, but they never made it. They had me wait for 30 minutes to tell me a health inspector was there and they couldnt cook my meal. When i address them about the problem the next day, they were rude and had an attitude with me for their problem. Worst customer service ever!!! If you can, go somewhere else.

Don’t come if you have a hour lunch

I've been dining at Simply Thai for at least a decade but the service and food have remained great...so great, you really shouldn't bother going to any other Thai place in Atlanta, because theirs won't taste as good.

The food is really good but the customer service is so bad.I think the lady who take the order she is the owner n she is too rude.

I think the ownership or management has changed. I have eaten lunch here three times since the new year. Each time the staff has been rude. Today, I had lunch with a colleague and went here. I found a piece of hair in my dish. The waitress acted like she didn't believe me and said she didn't see any hair. She asked if I wanted a replacement or my money back. I asked for spring rolls and she told me I had to pay for spring rolls. No apology, just rudeness. I will not eat here again.

Staff do not smile or speak to you. Food is pretty good and quick. I noticed my portion of same entree was much less than the table next to me. That's awful.

The food is good but the service is inconsistent regardless of they are busy or not.

I've only been there once and plan to go there more often.

1) Food is terrific. Simply the best Thai food I had. It had all the spices in the right amount to best it taste really authentic.
2) The customer service is good.
3) The ambiance in the restaurant is nice for a good dinner.
4) Wide variety of food options to choose for.

Great choice, awesome food

Portions are entirely too small. Also it's hot in there as if they are afraid to cut the air conditioner on a decent temp. I ordered Penang curry It was just ok. Nothing to rave about

I use to love this place but now the prices are the same with less food!! The people who work here are not friendly either. It's sad I use to be my favorite lunch spot.

Great food and attentive service. When I ask for "Thai hot" I actually get it.
