Best Thai food
Friendly staff and service was quick, but would I come back? Not likely.
- Fresh spring roll was all veggies wrapped in rice paper. No noodles or meat. The sauce was good though.
- Green curry wasn’t green…more yellow and it was pretty salty.
- Drunken noodles were the better dish of these and it was just okay. Nothing worth coming back to.
Absolutely amazing food great tasting amazing portions and just an all around great experience definitely a place I recommend, great service, and a great experience. I would definitely get the chicken fried rice and orange chicken. They are separate dishes but you put them both together they are an amazing combo
The food is always fantastic from Happy Bowl! My go to is the Massaman curry and it’s SO packed with flavor! If you’re looking for some amazing authentic Thai food, you’ve definitely gotta try this place!
Ordered the PAD PED which was labeled as “highly recommended!” I got the fried beef with red curry chili paste and sweet basil, white rice and fried spring roll. Spicy level 3
Overall it was really good! Definitely a low key spot with amazing food. Will be coming back to try more items.
Been eating at Happy Bowl since 2005, family owned and ran so don’t go if your in a hurry, it’s a relaxed environment and you never feel rushed to eat and leave… food is always fabulous! The peanut sauce is the best I’ve ever had and what I have set as a standard for every other Thai place I visit.
A small family owned restaurant that is consistently delicious. The place has very fair prices especially at lunch time. My family and I have eaten here for years. The pad Thai and Massaman curry are my favorite. The place looks old on the outside but the inside is clean and the staff are very friendly.
Been to many Thai restaurants. This one unfortunately takes the award as the worst by a mile.
Family owned and run. Always good food.
Absolutely amazing food great tasting amazing portions and just an all around great experience definitely a place I recommend, great service, and a great experience. I would definitely get the chicken fried rice and orange chicken. They are separate dishes but you put them both together they are an amazing combo
Their Massaman Curry is seriously the best I’ve ever had.. been going here for 10 years!
The food here is delicious, I wish we tried it sooner!
The food is amazing! I have been very pleased each time I’ve been.
Best Thai place in Fort Worth hands-down
The food is always fantastic from Happy Bowl! My go to is the Massaman curry and it’s SO packed with flavor! If you’re looking for some amazing authentic Thai food, you’ve definitely gotta try this place!
I ordered via UberEats and was given 4 PIECES of chicken. Definitely not ordering from here again — absolute waste of money. Delicious food, god awful proportions.
Make sure to double your order before you leave. A simple 3 item order was still made wrong.
Food never disappoints.
Best Thai in Fort Worth! Pad Ped and pakapow is unbelievable! This is family owned so service is just ok.... for a small business. Always friendly and totally worth it.
Clean good food great service
The food is amazing. Don't discriminate on the property because you'll miss out on some of the best Asian food you've had.
Great food in an authentic place. I got PAD PED and I really liked it. Will come back.
Great place, WONDERFUL people own and work this place.
Amazing food! Everyone is very kind. Great service!
An old Cafe with good Thai food.
Small mom and pop spot...The pineapple fried rice was fantastic
Very simple and older environment, with good food. I ordered the Jungle Curry, and it was HOT! I ordered spice level-2 and couldn't finish it. I like really spicy food, but that dish even at "0" spice level is still quite the adventure. The gentleman at the counter was kind enough to redo the spice level-2 to a "no spice" version to create the perfect version of what I would consider quite spicy. Again, I'm only discussing the Jungle Curry (menu calls it a spicy dish), the other dishes are assumed to be of a normal spice level. I enjoyed the food enough to return again.
Food delicious! No complaints
Pad Ped, number 7 spicy.....Best chili sauce in town!!
Such good fooood!! Great portions and flavor
I never thought I liked curry but this place proved me wrong. Ask for suggestions - they have never been wrong! It's BYOB.
Hands down the best Asian food I've ever had. I love the panang!
Ordered the PAD PED which was labeled as “highly recommended!” I got the fried beef with red curry chili paste and sweet basil, white rice and fried spring roll. Spicy level 3
Overall it was really good! Definitely a low key spot with amazing food. Will be coming back to try more items.
Wonderful food and staff!
Everything was awesome
Good portions
The Pad Woonsen was amazing. The shrimp fried rice, lo mein and egg rolls were really good. Portions were enough for 2 to share.
The ambiance of the place may not be perfect, but the food and service is outstanding. Don't let the look fool you, well worth the visit. Once you go, you will keep coming back!
Food not as good as it used to be. The service was lacking, the owners hardly speak to you. Just not welcoming..
Food is fine. Service is horrible. The guy who picks up my phone was so rude to me
Delicious little hole in the wall!
Best Thai in Fort Worth, no doubt. If you’re new I *highly* encourage asking for recommendations- you really can’t go wrong 😎
LIFE TIP: When they ask how spicy you’d like it on a scale of one to five DO NOT SMART OFF AND SAY “FIFTEEN”. THIS WILL KILL YOU AND IT WILL BE DELICIOUS.
The Yoru included in Daily Lunch Menu Specials. Come early. They run OUT!!!
Amazing food
Love this place! Food is fresh and so good!
This was a reasonably good play to pad thai although I think I prefer the lighter less thick peanut sauce, the service was reasonably good, the atmosphere was completely ruined by the by screaming baby. Little dude had knee pads on, reminded me of how everybody lets their babies run around in China, I live there a few years. This place was pretty familiar if I compare it to some place there. Your chances of eating at this place more than once or pretty limited because you know it's in White Settlement and I was only there picking up a weird piece of furniture. But if you do have a chance to stop by and have a craving for some Pad Thai you know give this place a try it's really pretty good
Everything is good. Everything.
BEST GARLIC CHKN
BEST GINGER CHICKEN
KIND PPL 🙏💪☝️🤍
If you think your brain doesn't have pores, I urge you to order spicy Level 5 and find out.
Best Pad Thai I've ever had in my life.
A small family owned restaurant that is consistently delicious. The place has very fair prices especially at lunch time. My family and I have eaten here for years. The pad Thai and Massaman curry are my favorite. The place looks old on the outside but the inside is clean and the staff are very friendly.
Me and a buddy ate here. Phenomenally good. I had the Pad Ped with chicken at a Lvl 4 spicy. Absolutely perfect for me. The menu had many offerings and the prices were super fair. Will be recommending this place around.
Happy Bowl is a family-owned restaurant located in an ancient strip center. It is very, very basic inside, but very clean. But ignore all that, and come for the superior Thai cuisine. We’ve tried Thai all over Fort Worth, but this place has the best food, hands down. Everything is very fresh and well presented. The lunch specials are generous and affordable. The family is sweet and welcoming. It’s definitely a hidden gem.
Asian cuisine. If you like little "hole in the wall" places, this is a great spot. Family owned and friendly. Be careful with the curry, it is on the warm side, but delicious. I will be returning.
Steak/Checken Fried Rice and Chicken Pad ThaI are my to go to’s -
Best thai food around.
Great place for lunch. Recommend the green curry lunch portion.
Every Thai place is a little different, and although this one wasn't in my top ones that I've been to, the food was still good. I got the green curry with a spice level 1 and it was crazy spicy.
I have eaten here for years and Love it!
I have been going here for years. Best fried rice I've ever had.
Being from California we know great food. This place being a small hole in the wall restaurant. i was surprised as to how good the food was. Taste was great and not overly greasy as some restaurants tend to do. I will definitely come back.
Very dirty place and rude employees, food is not worth coming here for.
Spent way too much time trying to pay for a group. The problem was they would not accept the ages that we gave for the kids. Four different people counting; four different results. Finally I had to just pay as if all were adults because it was too confusing. Food ok. Service was less than poor from my perspective. Will I go again....yes! "When pigs fly"
Eat Here. You will not be disappointed. Take out is also Great.
Decent Thai food at a reasonable lunch price.
Wow, what a hidden gem! Thai restaurant in a strip mall that is friendly and clean, and has great food. My lunch started with the vegetable tofu soup, which had a really delicious, well balanced broth. Then I got my massaman curry and some lightly-seasoned fried rice (which was actually brown rice)... delicious! They have a 1-5 spicy scale, and level 2 was perfect for me. Can't wait to try more stuff.
Great food that never disappoints. Definitely worth checking out.
This place is wonderful. Tried for the first time about a year or so ago and sad I was missing out for so long. Some of the best basil fried rice and the pad Kra Pow never disappoints. My kiddo says the orange chicken is the best.
It's a small little place, nothing fancy but it is well worth it.
Food and service is amazing a hidden delight!
Haven't been here since pre-pandemic, but their food was always wonderful. Google prompted me to review this location again. Unfortunately, I do not have any updates. Great food, hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Hope they are doing well. I'll check them out again soon and update.
Spicy level at your own risk but super good
I have not had a dish that I have not loved. We are a family that eats super spicy and they have every spice level you could want. Pad Thai and Massaman Curry are always my go too. Family has to eat here at least once a week.
It may look shady as hell, but the food is straight!
Without question some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten, and will ever eat no doubt. I have been going here since I was in middle school. I am now almost 30 and anytime I return home to visit family I go as much as I possibly can.
The owner still recognizes me and it is a pleasure every time I go!!!
This place is great! I have tried almost everything and its all awesome! My favorite is the massaman curry, but I also love the kung po chicken, and pad woonsen. You won't be dissapointed with any of them. Serving sizes are above average, and service is good. The owners/staff are very friendly, but their english is not great. As long as you have patience you will be able to get what you want. They are very eager to please. They use a spice level 1-5 for their plates, 5 being the hottest. I get 3 now. I tried 4, but you better have a towel with you because you will be sweating by the end of it. Its a good heat though. Prices for lunch are very reasonable. Less than $10 with a tip (I drink water), and you get a small salad, and egg roll with lunch. Don't be fooled by the area or looks, this is a top notch place!
I’ve been eating the chicken fried rice for the last four years I feel like nobody in the Dallas-Fort Worth area compares. Truly the best hole in the wall so rare. Sweetest family runs the place.
La comida está muy rica.
Delicious food, very fair prices
Fantastic Thai food! We regularly come here for lunch. Been coming here for years and still hands down the best Thai food in Fort Worth
Great customer service and delicious food!!! If there were more stars to give I would!!!
HEAVENLY!!! my first visit & will return again! I truly had a very HAPPY BOWL of Green Curry with Chicken (#2 hotness) with a bunch of chopped Cilantro on top (cilantro was my request) & it was magnificent in flavor & large in size. Evidently they have a hotness scale of 1-5 *(5 is hottest) & can tell them which number hotness when you order a Curry. I learned my 2 was a "little" hotter than I'm used to (but still magnificent), so next time I'll shoot for #1 hotness. I also had 2 fresh spring rolls & they were large in size & totally fresh as could be! They came with peanut sauce that was excellent too! I also tried a fried spring roll & that was especially good with my Green Curry & steamed rice. Not a single thing to complain about. I read some reviews about service taking a while & I didn't have to wait too long but even if I did, I would say "it's worth the wait"
Always an amazing experience!
A hidden gem! Great food! Try the Pineapple Fried Rice!
Orange chicken was perfect
This place reminds me of why I love to eat go u will be love it
Small, But food is excellent and prices are reasonable
Happy Bowl is one of our FAVORITE restaurants! We order food multiple times a month. Everything is so delicious, and the staff is so sweet. We must protect this business at all costs!! Why a treasure!
Polite, professional, and efficiently quick.
Compared to others around, they are in the top 3. Their fried rice and curry soup is the best around. Orange chicken maybe not. I like my orange chicken big not tiny like theirs... others may like it the tiny way though.
Solid spicy Asian food. Have returned many times. Don't start on spicy over a 3.
They actually do NOT DELIVER
Best thai food around
Curry is the stuff to eat here. Delicious
Excellent food and the sweetest staff. Always a go to place when I'm in town.
My wife and I have lived in the area for a while now and we just barely tried Happy Bowl for the first time the other day and it was delicious. Portions are plentiful, fresh, and for the price it's definitely worth the money.
I LOVE THIS PLACE! Great food, great prices and great people! Don’t let the outside fool you this is a hidden gem for Thai food. I highly recommend Happy Bowl to everyone!!
Thank God this place is around the corner from my house. Best Thai food I've ever had
Food was delicious and service was quick. Would have given 5 stars, but dine in experience was very irritating. No music for atmosphere... however the manager watched very loud youtube videos in foreign language and it was not a relaxing experience. He was distracted from guests waiting to get food boxed up.
Food was good I like the fact you can get your food mild 0 no spice to 5 hot spicy couple of people told not to get 5
Been eating at Happy Bowl since 2005, family owned and ran so don’t go if your in a hurry, it’s a relaxed environment and you never feel rushed to eat and leave… food is always fabulous! The peanut sauce is the best I’ve ever had and what I have set as a standard for every other Thai place I visit.
Good food.
The food? Delicious! Probably some of the best Thai food I’ve had in Fort Worth. Unfortunately, the service is extremely subpar.
Best shrimp fried rice I've ever had
Pad Thai is on fire!!
Very tasy little restaurant.
This is a small little hole in the wall but the food is great. Even though they say the prices have gone up, you get a lot of food for your money. The food comes out fast and hot, both temp and spice. I got the red curry beef. I suggest ordering a spice level one lower than you think you want. You can always add more but you can't talk it away lol. I'm not sweating... You're sweating.
I will definitely go back again.
Phenomenal! I ordered delivery and portions were huge and food was still hot when it got to me. The flavor is fantastic. I had the Tom Kha soup, egg rolls, pad see ew and they were all flavorful and delicious.
Great green curry, love this place!
Attempted to order in but it took so long our work group had to take everything to-go. Our food was a complete let down from the reviews we read. Definitely not going back. Especially because of how their "Lunch Special" was 10.95 and still a lunch portion.
Our first time here and it was phenomenal! I had some of the best curry I’ve had in the states here. Penang curry is fantastic as well as the Thai egg rolls!! We will be back soon! Thank you for the wonderful food!
Happy Bowl is tucked between stores in a modest strip mall. I recommend the Thai Iced Tea, which tastes like a fusion of chai and condensed milk and most any dish with glass noodles and or basil. You will pay $10-12 a plate but the portions are quite large and make for a good midnight snack.
Overall just a nicely maintained place and the food is always delicious.
it's amazing 👏
Great food! I had chicken teriyaki with fried rice which was the best I've ever had. My husband had Pad Thai and loved it also. We got both with no heat added but we will definitely do that next time. Very clean also. I can't wait to try my next dish here!!
Fantastic food. Best curries around. The owner is really nice. Highly recommend it.
I got the spicy basil noodles with shrimp and it was delicious!!
Their orange chicken 🍊 🐔 is 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
This is a great little hole in the wall place! Fantastic service and food. Usually order to go and they plate it very well!
This place is good. It's a small place in a strip mall but don't sleep on it. They have some amazing massaman curry. I also love the crazy fried rice and the drunken noodles.
Very good food, recommend seafood pan something glass noodles, also he may sound mad when he talks but that’s just how some Asians sound in English so don’t be alarmed have a good meal.
Best food I had in a long time. Def recommend to try out!
Fried rice and egg rolls fire!! 🔥. I got a 3 on spicy can't image a 5...... really good 👍👌
Owner very unfriendly, food that contain like a pound of salt unable to eat meal.
we ordered kung pao chicken and it's really salty can't bear to eat and we complain of course. The owner is not friendly and don't accept criticism. We always order food from this restaurant bit only that time so salty . The next time we order again same menu and he didn't let us, his reason is that menu is salty. How come? He should change it, no body wants to eat too much salt. We will never and never go there again.
Not impressed at all. Tried eating here finally. Will not be returning. Food was horrible. Man who answered the phone was rude. Was not worth the money I paid for it.
Excellent Tai Asian food! Staff are great reasonably priced with good portions .
Craveable
The food here is just so good! Must try!
Have lived in white settlement for 34 years have never eaten here tell tonight, and will never eat here again.
It was bad, now sitting at home and my stomach is hurting.
I have ordered about 5 times in a month and every time it’s amazing!!!!! Orange chicken is amazing and if you get it a 3 it’s the perfect amount of spicy!
What a hidden little gem!!!! I had the fried rice with shrimp and I was impressed by the amount of food and the size of the shrimp. I'm a big foodie so I take a lot into consideration when I frequent a new place. I will definitely be back when I'm back in that area. HIGHLY recommend
Wonderful as always!!
Love this place, Its been awhile sense ive had some decent Pad Thia
Yummy!!!!!!!
Great food huge portions at a great price!!!!!
Love this place. Best Thai in a 100 mile radius. Recommend pad Thai and pad see ew. Rice plates are great too!!
This is probably the best Thai food in the area.
I ordered from here for the first time and I'm definitely not impressed. The food got here on time thanks to Door dash, but, the food was cold, forgot my egg roll and sauce . The people were not professional at all. They always answer saying hello and identifying the restaurant. 2 is gener
