Standards like curries & noodles in a colorful room; all-you-can-eat soup & salad bar at lunch.
Thai Cuisine will be my new favorite lunch place right by work! I ordered the basil fried rice with pork level 2 spice was excellent. And for lunch they have soup, crab wontons, and salad available included in the price. Busy place but they turn tables quickly. There’s a lot on the menu I need to try!
Thai Cuisine is our family's favorite Thai food restaurant in Austin. So much so that my mom orders their house-made coconut ice cream take-away every time, 3 orders at a time. My dad always goes with the stir fried glass noodles with pork. Great for family dinners and always busy with take-out.
We came in for a late dinner when they were about to close and they were very accommodating. Service was fast and kind and they waited for us to finish our meal. Love the pad Kee Mao, tastes so fresh and balanced with just enough spice at level 1. Thai spicy is no joke so pick levels 2-5 at your own risk! 😅
This thai place has some amazing fresh veggie spring rolls. You need to try the peanut sauce as well. You can come in, order your drink and meal, and partake in the salada bar and get some banger peanut sauce and spring rolls. The menu offers different food options such as pad thai, curry and other things.
My new favorite Thai food. Pleasant surprise was the salad bar with the basics but done very well. Amazing soups. Salad bar comes with lunch special menu items, which was a great deal around $13-15/person. The fried egg was more fried than expected but still very good with the meal. All the vegetables were gresh and plentiful, portion sizes large enough to take some to go. Place is a bit small but wasn't loud. Can't wait to go back.
I ordered for the first time here, it was takeout and I was very pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of my food. I ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls that come with Peanut Sauce and my entree was the Pad Kee Mao with Chicken and I opted to add extra Veggies. The Pad Kee Mao was amazing, very flavorful! The spring rolls were great as well, but I was not the biggest fan of the Peanut Sauce, I thought it was way too sweet and needed to be a little creamier and not so watery, if that makes sense? Will definitely go again and recommend to others. The only feedback I would like to offer is, to greet your customers as they come in to pick up their orders and say thank you to them...business is business, even if it's take out, I even had tipped them for my take out order. Just a great way to go the extra mile in keeping repeat customers.

Very nice quiet and attractive, attentive staff… with great food and salad bar.
Very good and we would go back.
Thai Cuisine is one of my favorite options for lunch. Not only do they have fast service and fresh Thai dishes, the appetizer bar means virtually no waiting. By the time I finish my spring rolls, my entree has arrived, and I can get done and out faster than any other table service restaurant in the area.
Oh, did I mention the flavors are bright and for spicy options they don’t dumb down the spice level? Fantastic!
This was our first time to this restaurant. They provide silverware based on your appearance, without even checking your preference. I asked the waiter how you know I would need a fork, when you typically provide chopsticks. They didn’t have an answer. They treat you differently based on your appearance. We ordered 3 adult size entrees for me, my wife and our 8yo. We also had a 2yo with us who because of dietary restrictions, we didn’t order a full entree as she had her lunch at home. They explictly came to tell us that she can’t use their salad bar coz we didn’t order an entree specially for her. This was within minutes of us ordering our food. We weren’t planning to use it anyways for her. They make us feel like we are there to steal their free food from salad bar. lol. Again based on appearance I felt. Their food quality was okay. Too spicy for even their level 1. Overall very disappointed with their staff and service. I would rather eat where people are treated equally and well.

Food was delicious! I went during lunch and the menu price was $14.95 which includes the buffet (dine-in only)….So you will definitely leave here satisfied and full.
Unfortunately, our server was not pleasant and she seemed to have an attitude. Hardly spoke and definitely didn’t greet us sitting down or upon leaving. I don’t understand how you tip servers for that type of service. 🙅🏽♀️
Overall, the experience was deeply unsatisfactory. Ordered fried rice but the tofu was entirely cold. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, with only one other table occupied, I was instructed to relocate to a different table after I had already been seated. Adding to the disappointment, the check was presented midway through my meal.
The food was cold and is not fresh. The egg in the crab is uncooked. We ordered 3 dishes and all are bad. I am not going again.
I am always looking for good Thai restaurants when I visit a city and this one I classify as very good. There was no wait when I visited on a Wednesday night last month. There were 10 or so people dining in but there was a steady stream of patrons picking up to-go orders...always a good indicator of a quality place. Food and service were very good.

Pretty decent meals, the thing that blows everything else away is their delicious Tom kha soup that's on the buffet bar
I usually order to-go but when I tell you the staff has always been so thorough and friendly! I can’t recommend the good enough! My favorite things to order are the pad Thai, pad se ewe, or the spring rolls! The peanut sauce is best I’ve been able to find in Austin.
Exceptional authentic Thai food, highly recommend this place.
Ordered through Uber eats and this is the second time they “forgot” an item. Luckily Uber eats refunded me each time but how hard is it to remember 1 of 4 items when they are all listed for you? Unprofessional at best, shady thieves at worst. Check your deliveries as soon as they arrive.
Horrible service, they adds gratuity counting baby who didn’t order there. How awful is this. Have some ethics management team
The food and quality are great. I've had a lot of different Thai restaurants, and this place is better than most. I live nearby so I'm glad I found a go-to Thai restaurant. The only issue is they skimp on the proteins often.
The food is good albeit very small portions for the price. Atmosphere is an absolute nightmare though. This is a family restaurant and I mean that pejoratively. Screaming kids, multiple kids watching TikTok’s at full volume. Imagine Cicis Pizza or something but somehow worse.
Great find! Excellent food. Amazing basil rolls and house-made peanut sauce!
Noisy at lunch.
The food is mediocre. The rice that came with the dish was definitely left over, not freshly made. The service is close to zero. The female server came to ask what I would like and I said I’m not ready, then she gave me a dirty look. When I was ready and raised my hand to order, the two people at the counter saw me and did nothing. I waited for 2mins before I could place the order. The server gave us the check before we even finished half of the food!!! And no one came to refill the water. The food is overpriced. This restaurant should be closed.
Buena comida, ambiente familiar a precio justo
I have to edit this review.....this place is not what it used to be.
Always nice people and good variety of food selection, reasonable pricing
They make one of the better pad thai and pad kee mao (drunken noodle) I've had in Austin, but they barely put any protein in the dishes. They've been giving less overall portions this past year whenever I order pickup or delivery.
Quality remains the same, but the quantity is dropping. Need more proteins with the noodles. Sometimes I only get 3 or 4 little pieces of chicken.
This thai place has some amazing fresh veggie spring rolls. You need to try the peanut sauce as well. You can come in, order your drink and meal, and partake in the salada bar and get some banger peanut sauce and spring rolls. The best Thai restaurant, hands down!
Their buffet is delicious too..
Little pricy for the quantity served . If dinner portion is less then charge less
The lunch here cannot be beat. The appetizer buffet is a great bonus.
The thing is, service is not so great. I’ve recently gone to this place two days in a row and both times it took forever to get an order in, get drink refills, or even the check. It really didn’t seem like my server wanted to be there. I watched other tables that came after me get served before me. I ordered khao man gai which took forever and was plated very sloppily. I took note of this last detail because a table near me also ordered the same dish and their plating was a lot nicer. Not a huge deal, but with this dish, a certain presentation of the neatly sliced chicken over rice is traditional, and i thought the inconsistency with the other table was weird.
All that said, I went 2 days in a row and I don’t plan on stopping. Despite everything, I can’t get a better tasting Thai lunch. And I don’t know any other restaurant in the area that serves Khao man gai. 😅🤷♂️
We have been eating in this restaurant several times, but the last time they provided old fries for my son. They as
Added 18% tip on our bill without asking and also ask for more tip!!!
Got the chicken pad khee mao , and it made me very sick. I had diarrhea, headache, and fatigue. Just get tofu.
Their quality has significantly gone down while price has increased. I ordered the emerald fried rice where they clearly didn’t put in the curry and nothing was spicy at the 2 level spice. The glass noddles were overcooked and under spiced. Everything was bland and overpriced. Enjoyed this place at one time but will never return.
I'm never in this area, so only hit this place by chance, but man, it was fantastic. I got the Emerald Fried Rice, and it was extremely tasty.
This is a small whole in the wall establishment. They serve great food. Lots of options to choose from.
Great Thai food, reasonable price, good service.
Tasty, affordable Thai fare. The buffet on Sundays is a steal, with a salad bar, curries, and even rice pudding with blueberries. The portions are huge, and while some dishes can be hit-or-miss, the Panang Curry packs a flavorful punch. Great for a quick Thai fix.
Met a friend for lunch at Thai Cuisine. I'm always up for a good curry but I decided to get the all you can eat soup and salad which was good. I've heard good things about several dishes so I'll have to be back to try them.
The food tastes good, service can depend who attends to you and if they are not too busy. My experience has been average so far and hence a 3 star rating.. they won’t let you use more than 2 to go boxes which left me thinking should I come back or recommend this place to others. Overall it can be a hit or a miss!
I recently visited Thai cuisine restaurant in Austin and had a really mixed experience. The Thai red curry was absolutely delicious, and the vegetarian spring rolls were good. The salad bar has not much options and pad Thai was okay but could use some improvement. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing and did not meet expectations. If I could rate the service separately, I would give it a zero. Overall, the food was good, but the poor service overshadowed the experience.
Great food, especially the pad se ewe. The included buffet with lunch special included salad, vegitarian spring rolls, fresh vegetable egg rolls, 2 soups, and a tapioca coconut milk dessert. The tofu soup was wonderful.
I love their pad see ewe!!! It's so sad that the food was salty the last time I visited, but generally, it tastes very good. Complimentary salad bar has tom yum soup, egg rolls, spring rolls, coconut tapioca dessert, and more!
Incredible Thai food! Pad Kra Pow, Khoa soi, and the soups are authentic! Delicious. Chiang Mai level. Love this place!
Cute, charming, and delicious lunch spot! I enjoyed the salad bar! The vegetables were decently fresh and the tapioca coconut dessert was tasty. However, the standout of the salad bar was the tofu Tom Yum! The broth was flavorful, perfectly spicy, and the tofu was tender. The vegetable soup and fried mix rolls were just ok in comparison.
I loved the pad woon seen (L30)! The glass noodles were deliciously chewy and savory and the beef was also tasty. Pad kee Mao was also great!
Ambiance and decor were also really nice and the staff were friendly. This place could be nice for a date.
We had the Pad Kee Mao and Spicy Cashew Chicken. It's good coming here at lunch while they have the soup, appetizer and salad bar.
Lunch buffet is a great deal: get some salad and appetizers, a bit of the entree, and leave with leftovers. For dinner, *highly* recommend the purple sticky rice with egg custard — it is delicious.
I have eaten half of their menu and it's all delicious. Their servers are friendly as well. Service is quick and efficient.
Best yellow curry ever!
Great menu selection.
They have a big desert choices
รสชาติเแย่มาก ไม่รุ้กล้าเสริฟได้ไง เสียชื่ออหารไทยหมด
Thai tea was very bad, no taste only sugar. Don’t buy!!!
Great Thai food and service!
Green curry not for the faint of heart! Highly recommended…
I used to live in Austin and I still think about this place to this day. THE BEST THAI FOOD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The "Medium Spicy Beef Pad Thai" and the "Peanut Sauce Wings" composed a significant portion of the calories I consumed while living in Texas. I honestly don't know what black magic goes on in the kitchen here...but they have me absolutely hooked.
Staff are also so kind too. My actual #1 favorite spot in Austin. I miss you guys.
Amazing food!!
We got the shrimp pad Thai and chicken green curry as main entrees. Although they were out of the mango sticky rice, we really enjoyed the fried banana.
Our server “Prad” was very friendly, professional and helpful with helping us make delicious choices and we will be returning.
Best Thai food in Austin. Great lunch buffet, try the King’s Curry!
Food was delicious and they have egg roll and salad as free starters.
Chili paste was goooooood
Lunch was fantastic! Super busy so you know it’s good!
Food is always great here!
The lunch special is really good here. Quite a bit of food and it’s all very tasty. They typically serve dishes but also have a free buffet of sides (with the purchase of a dish) which is nice. I haven’t seen other restaurants do that. It’s fairly priced as well. As far as dishes go, i’d go with one of their curries. I haven’t found one that isn’t appetizing here. We usually go with the green curry and the pineapple curry and it’s been splendid thus far. Their pad kee mao and pad thai are also really good. I don’t think you can go wrong with this place. It’s one of the best thai places in north austin for sure
Solid Thai food place, it’s a regular for me. The price is good and there’s a buffet salad bar. Pad Thai is a favorite with chicken, also their emerald rice plate
- Delicious food
- Very kind staff
- Several vegetarian options (Clearly marks them on menu)
- Free buffet for dine-in only (Egg rolls are awesome)
- Several parking spaces in front of the restaurant
Best thai food in Austin for more than 10 years.
Great food & service.
Great restaurant
Decent food and good atmosphere. Charge tips with out informing consumers tho.
Pad Ke Moa and Thai tea were spot plus can't beat the price for unlimited salad bar
very good BBQ pork plate. the crispy cheese rolls were good, too. It was a bit odd that gratuity was automatically added for a party of 5.
The food was amazing but the service was not. Our waitress was not attentive and not very friendly either.
I had Thai food for the first time, and I got the Hot Basil Fried Rice with Seafood. It tastes good and I like how you can choose the spice level. The fried rice was very good. The service was amazing. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is clean. I will definitely be coming back!
I’ve been coming here for 10yrs, always great food and service.
Every time I am in north Austin and need to eat lunch this is my go to place. Inexpensive meals with included salad bar. This is absolutely some of the best Thai food in town.
such a neighborhood staple, incredible food, great prices, and the kindest staff ever. i’ve never not had a wonderful meal and time here.
This used to be one of my favorite Thai places. Hope it was just an “off night”
The pad Thai was oily and all stuck together. Spice level medium was sooooo hot I could not eat the pineapple fried rice.
One of the best Thai restaurants in the Austin area. Must try tom Kha, pad se ew, curries and pineapple fried rice
We ordered Hot Thai Basil Chicken, Pad Ped Gang Dang Chicken, Chicken Fired Rice, Pad Thai Chicken, and Emerald Chicken. We chose spice levels 2 and 3 and all of them are very tasty.
Amazing Thai food. We have been searching for some good authentic Thai food in Austin for a long time and this one consistently delivers on taste every single time. Great vegan options too and service is great, the kitchen is happy to make any modifications that they are able to make!
Highly recommend!
Personally, it was my favorite restaurant when I visited here last year. The lunch buffet along with other meals free was also great.
But when I visited here recently(10/15), I was a little bit disappointed. The chicken in Tom Yang soup was not fresh and smelly. One of the water cups was not wiped clean, it had a residue. The food tasted too sugary. I didn't enjoy the employees' service.
Here had been my favorite Thai restaurant in Austin before. I hope I can give a 5-star review later when I visit here again.
Good pad thai
This place is AWESOME! Not only do they have great food, they have EXCEPTIONAL customer service. I placed an online order for pick up - tofu pad se ewe for myself (I'm vegetarian) and beef pad Thai for my partner. My order was accidentally mixed up with another similar one and when I got home I realized my pad se ewe had beef instead of tofu. The manager called me back and went above and beyond to make it right; he was so considerate and wanted to make sure I didn't go without dinner. I cannot express my appreciation enough, I am so grateful and my tummy is happy :)
The food is great.
Favorite Asian restaurant in Austin.
Service a little slow, typical suburban strip center store front..
Recommended for curries
One of the best Thai restaurants in USA. Their emerald fried rice and Tom jerd soup are must try. I love to come here every week.
Good one
There's a free salad bar during lunch hours. Salad bar includes soup, spring rolls, salad, dessert. We ordered pad Thai and pad see ew. Food portions were smaller than other restaurants but because the salad bar was available, the entire meal was very filling. Wouldn't say that the food tasted as nice as other restaurants but I would say that if you are looking for an affordable place for lunch, this is the place!
Amazing taste. We ordered on Uber eats. First thing they added a safety seal to make sure it has reached us safely and nobody has it. The drinks came in a nice plastic bottle. The quantity was perfect.
The taste of the food was excellent. We took level 2 spice and it was perfect for my taste buds. (I eat spicy 🌶️ 🤤)
The portion was very good as well.
Overall amazing Thai restaurant. Would definitely dine in some day and update this review.
Great lunch buffet. Love their tapioca custard. Good spice level
Went in for dinner on a Sunday evening..
The place was packed
The food quality was excellent with authentic Thai flavor and ingredients
The staff was super nice and friendly and the owner is also always there to welcome you and answer any questions you may have
Prices are around $15 dollars per person if you order just food without drinks
The place is conveniently located with enough free parking
This place would be a full 5 ⭐ if the service was a bit better. Your order is taken pretty quickly and the food is delivered fairly quickly as well, but you're then forgotten about. If you need anything like another drink or maybe even want to add to your order, good luck. BUT, in spite of the service missing a few marks, the food is fantastic! Never had red curry with pineapple chunks, but it was quite interesting and a pleasant twist to the dish. The vegetables were tender and tasted like they were stewing in the curry from the start. The heat was spot on, not too much. Was excellent food and I definitely want to try more, but disappointed at the service, or lack there of I should say. One other tiny issue is how tightly the tables are placed, if you're not paper thin, ask for a booth if it opens up. Poor layout.
Very dingy looking place. Got white rice when asked for brown rice. When we asked they said sorry but still put extra money for brown rice in the bill. The jungle curry was so bad with half cooked chicken. We asked about the same and left the curry untouched and the cook didn’t even bother to come and ask what’s wrong. Felt completely cheated on our money and was confronted at the door when we didn’t leave the tip they asked for. When we apologized for not giving good tip, the cook/owner said your sorry won’t pay the waiter. Then please give her proper salary rather than relying on customers gullibility and guilt trip them. Spend half the money you saved from serving stale meat to customers. Again Tip is an courtesy not a mandatory bill
One of my fav places to eat in all of Austin! I miss living closer. Soo tasty!
The food is below average but the service was grossly incompetent. The waitress had a bad attitude. We had to ask three times just to get water and by the time it was served to us, the food was at room temperature. The waitress never checked if we needed anything else. She just gave us the cheque almost as soon as our food was served. We are never going back to this restaurant
A variety of food options and very delicious and authentic tasting food.
However a big mood turnoff is the super arrogant server we had . Probably that guy was having a bad day or it was because it was super busy Saturday and they were probably understaffed , and we wanted to cut him some slack but it wasn’t just restricted to not exchanging pleasantries or the forgetting to get what we wanted, the guy was outright rude , many times back answering with an attitude.
Definitely will think twice before visiting this place .
The salad bar is awesome. More Thai places should do it.
This is the first and only time our family visit this place.
My husband and I took our three kids (13 year old, 9 year old and 2 year old) to have lunch there. We ordered 4 regular dishes, as I would like to share my dish with my 2 years old. There is a small salad bar and people can take the food at no additional cost. However, when we made the order, we were told we need to pay extra $5 for the salad bar. We were confused and asked the older lady (looks like the owner) said if we keep on eating and eating the food from the bar, they will charge an extra $5 per person.
Do they say this to everyone else? Why do they think we will eat that much while we were just making orders not yet taking anything from the bar. The older lady also told us that she did not want to fight with us regarding this additional charge for the salad bar, and if we are not happy, do not come back.
I came to know this place by going with my coworkers for lunch there, and there were NO additional charges for the food taken from the salard bar.
Love this place. The best food especially the yellow curry. The owner always greets you - makes you feel special.
Service was great, very attentive without any rushing. Food was amazing, I've never had a bad meal here. Vermicelli is top tier
The appetizer lunch bar is awesome. Just wish they offered it for dinner too
Love this place.
Used to be a good place way back. The salad bar is good but service and the quality of food have gone down.
I’m 9 months pregnant and was super grumpy when I walked in. Long story short, I was in a much better mood by the time I left. I’m not sure if the food or the service was better. The waitress was so sweet. She made sure I was comfortable at a table when I couldn’t fit in the booth and she fixed my food right away when my husband forgot to add shrimp to my basil fried rice. This place delivers every single time and will always get our business!
The best Thai food I've had in Austin so far. I got the pad thai with shrimp, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. My son loved the king wings and the fried rice with shrimp was really good.
This is my new thai place. 5/5
Best thai food restaurants in Austin i tried so far!!!
Ginger chicken, love it in lunch they have complimentary free buffet for appetizers.. love it love it love it.
Very Attentive and friendly staff.
Great food.
Free all you can eat soup, salad, and crab rangoons and other stuff with with main course during lunch hours.
Reasonable prices.
Nice atmosphere.
Only thing I didn't like was the water taste and smells funny. I think they need to filter it.
Will come here again.
I have been having food from here for quite sometime. The food is too good always. Service 💯 taste 💯 . Recommend this place for vegetarians too. You can make it less or more spicy too. One of my favorites in Austin
This place is so good! I frequent it for lunch during the week! Chicken Pad Thai, Cashew Chicken, and yellow curry are my top 3!
I used to live in Austin and ordered from Thai Cuisine at least once a week… never had a bad experience. Just visited again and came here for lunch… everything was great again. Kudos to the chef and the owners! I’ll be back next time I’m in Austin.
Their red curry is SO GOOD!!! Great service! Will definitely return! 🎉
Delicious food! Love the Thai Tea!🤩😋❤️
Excellent food. But suffers from a lack of parking due to entitled customers with larger vehicles taking up more than one parking space on a consistent basis. Maybe just do takeout.
Love the lunch special (salad, soup, and appetizers bar) and everything I've eaten here is absolutely delicious!
