I had been eating dine in and take out at Charm Thai Bistro for few years never wrote the review before. I'm Thai, of course I love Thai food and I approve of the taste. It is authentic. The restaurant is very nice and clean. The service is great and the price is reasonable. When you order you can request your spice level and real Thai taste. I recommend this place!

Then afterwards when the order came it was not correct order and when we raised that he rudely said to my mother wife that we shouldn’t have come at 2:30 PM as they close at 3 PM. When I objected and asked to call his manager, he said he is the highest authority over there and we should leave as we are raising our voice against his behavior.

Not top of this he was laughing with his staff after doing all of this. We left without having the food as this behavior is not acceptable at all .

We recently found ourselves without power in Houston following a hurricane, and in our search for food, someone mentioned that Chick-fil-A was open. When we arrived, the line stretched for miles. Across the street, we spotted Charm Thai Bistro and decided to give it a try, albeit with some skepticism. In Houston, it's often believed that if a restaurant isn't packed, the food might not be great.

Upon entering, we noticed framed magazine mentions featuring the owner/chef on the wall, which gave us some hope. The waitress and greeter were very friendly, and we were seated promptly. The menu looked promising, and when our food arrived, we were absolutely amazed. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were outstanding.

Charm Thai Bistro exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely be visiting again soon! Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious Thai food in Houston.

This is a Thai staple by my office. The service Is friendly but the food took a long time to get. The ambiance is quaint and great for a lunch. The pad kee mao had great flavor but the noodles were a bit al dente for my taste. Could have been softer. Plenty of free parking.

First time here. Great experience. Daniel was a great server-attentive and friendly and the food was GREAT! We had Spring Rolls, Pineapple Fried Rice and Pad Thai. All were really great but the curry sprinkled on the fried rice made it the best version we ever tried. Definitely will be returning.

Picked up lunch a couple weeks ago for Togo and it was absolutely delicious. Haven’t had Thai food before and wanted to try some. Even after I got home and set down to eat the food was still hot and basically tasted like it was brought fresh to the table.

Went multiple times with colleagues for lunch. Tried Thai red curry and mango sticky rice. Awesome taste, well-balanced flavours with the right level of umami. Never disappoints.

The food was excellent! Cooked to perfection. Special thanks to the chef that evening. The service was wonderful. Anne (The Manager) who served us was so attentive and accommodating.

This place is small but very nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the aesthetics don’t make up for mediocre food and lackluster service. We went in for lunch with coworkers, and they were severely understaffed for the lunch rush. The worst part is that they have a page full of “rules” on their menu, which makes you feel like you are dining in 1952. Also, note they don’t take American Express, so the place is not recommended for business meals, as most corporate cards are AMEX.

The ribeye with the Tiger cried sauce! So spicy and delicious.

This was the best fried rice I’ve ever had. My husband and I shared our entrees because both were so delicious. Our waiter was very kind to our toddler and it was clean inside.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the Spring area! I love the pork pad thai. General charm’s chicken is delicious too!

Yesterday was my second time visiting and the experience was just as great as the first. As a vegetarian, they have ample options and also their spice levels are absolutely delicious. The flavors mix so well and the consistency is something hard to find. The service was also top notch. I will continue to return to this establishment!

I been eating here since the place opened. And over the last 6 months or so I’ve noticed something has changed about the Thai fried rice it’s not the same flavor it used to be. I’ve ate the rice over 100 verified times. If it’s not broke don’t try to fix it. It’s never the same it’s hit or miss. I don’t want to take away from the stars, hope the manager sees this!

The third time eating here, and the third time they messed up my order. The place gets very loud even with a few customers inside.

Food was good (ordered Thai Basil Chicken). I sat towards the back and was not attended to check if everything was ok. I needed a water refill and had to flag someone down (hispanic younger girl), who didn't acknowledge if she was going to get it and looked as if she didn't want to work. Someone else came over to get me water. Overall, a promising restaurant that needs to be ran better. Currently bad customer service. Please get this fixed!

Charm Thai Bistro is a small thai restaurant with personal service and amazing food! My husband and I have eaten here several times and always been very impressed. The service is always in that sweet spot where they are there when you need something, but never intrusive. The food is just amazing! My favorites are the chicken green curry, the pineapple curry with pork or duck, and the basil fried rice! The bar has excellent cocktail choices. I cannot recommend this place enough! It is just great!

My boyfriend and I went last night and it was incredible. We had larb with pork, fresh spring rolls, fried spring rolls, green curry with chicken, pad thai, and thai crème brûlée. Everything was fantastic and the service was amazing. Fabulous experience we will definitely be back!

Some of the best Thai food I've had. There was a large party of 10 the afternoon we went, but even so, the servers were quick and checked up on us often.
We got the Kao Soi, roti with curry, Tom Kha, and Satay Chicken. Everything was great.
I did also get a margarita there, and it was STRONG. Just one knocked me out, so keep that in mind if you're thinking of dinner and drinks! You're definitely getting your money's worth.
We will definitely be going back to try their lunch specials!

Food and service was amazing!! Orange chicken was the best but everything was definitely good. Prices were reasonable for the amount and quality. Meat was real and not the questionable meat you would get from other restaurants.

Our favorite Thai spot. We love the fried fish and eggplant basil paired with tofu or crispy pork. Authentic and if you dare, get the Thai spicey level. Dishes such as papaya salad and pad Thai/pad see ew are classic and well executed.

I am cringing writing this review as I have been a frequent customer of Charm Thai for a very long time. Unfortunately, I ordered their Chicken Panang dish with white rice over the weekend and I found a maggot in my dish. I am absolutely appalled, and disgusted. I will no longer be eating from this restaurant anymore which is a shame because their food was always so delicious.

This place is a gem! Food is excellent. My go to is the red curry chicken, chicken satay, and Thai tea. 🖤 I/we eat here twice a month if not more. Staff always provide top tier service.

It's just a fancy restaurant, but the quality of food is not good. Me and my family loves Thai cuisine, The rice were sticky & mushy and had several pieces of egg shells in them. The Tom Yum soup also had a very weird taste. I'm never going again over there.

The yellow curry chicken was so good!

I love the Thai food here - I go down on spice level to medium. I’ve had the yellow curry, chicken satay, egg rolls, basil stir fry, it’s all delicious and good quality. Peter is also a great server if you dine in.

This is my FAVORITE spot for Thai! Spot-on, every time. I get take out and there’s never a delay, an order issue, or a miscommunication. Dre and Tae are so friendly and helped me feel welcome! Great job. I’ll be back soon!

What happened to this place?! Service is awful now. I saw people leave because no one acknowledged them. It took 25 min to get my check processed. The service has gone down. I gave it one more shot but I won’t be coming back.

Started out great but they wouldn’t sell us a a piece of pork belly without buying a whole dish first.made no sense since the same piece they were charging a premium price for it. I was willing to pay for the piece I just didn’t want the noddles that were in the dish. And they didn’t take American Express what if that’s the only thing I had at that time then what?

Unfortunately, the service was lacking. It seemed like the staff didn't care about their jobs

Quiet and cool little place. Basic decor but amazing menu and cocktail drinks. The three chili spicy level was absolutely perfect for a spicy food lover with rich flavor still shining through. Service was quick and friendly but also out of the way. Will absolutely come again for the mango sticky rice dessert I missed out on this time (too full)!!

Always amazing when I’m in Houston. Their green curry is to die for, and they have a reasonable alcohol selection.

Food is good but takes to long because they do door dash orders first and not paying attention to people in the restaurant sitting at the tables! You shouldn’t have to flag the wait staff down for drinks, napkins or even to pay for our bill at the end. This place does NOT give good service to their customers and I will be continuing to come here but the punishment will be that I will NOT tip. The staff doesn’t deserve to be tipped if they can’t prioritize the customer. This is May 2024. I refuse to give a specific day.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened. I love to support local. The food is consistently delicious 🤤 My new favorite is the panaang chicken curry 🍛 with steamed veggies! Also I highly suggest the red curry, Thai basil and steamed pork dumplings. I could go on and on…I left for over a year and Charm Bistro was one of the first restaurants that I HAD to have. Today Dae took care of us and she was AMAZING 🤩 Go get charmed!!

Delicious food. I like the lunch menu and will for sure be back. I got the red curry pork medium spicy, and it had me wiping my nose hahaha. I would be scared to get a level spicier. My friends said who had the crispy pork belly pad Thai said it was so good as well. Highly recommend.

Fantastic food but the service is horrible. 25 minute wait order to serve on average. I won't make a 7th visit for that reason.

Absolutely the best Thai food I've had in the area - even better in some ways than Several of my favorite Thai restaurants in Houston.
We had roti & curry, spicy Thai basil fried rice with shrimp, Thai basil with crispy pork.
I've had better roti but it was good.
Fried rice was very good.
Thai Basil was incredible - crispy pork belly cooked to perfection.
Next time I want to try the khan soi - I don't see that often at Thai restaurants & waiter said it was very good.
Sadly we forgot to take photos but I am soon happy to find a really good Thai restaurant in the area.

Food was good, but customer service was bad. I did not see the servers have any smiles even though we kept smiling and thanked them. We came for the lunch, but they were really slow, feel like they did not want to work and not happy when we were there. We ordered the lunch special, but they ended up charge for full price, we waited for the dessert too long, and my husband had to leave for a meeting, so he came up to the front desk to check out instead of waiting for nobody, and he figured out the dessert was ready but no one did care bring it to us. We did not want to come back for that services.

Going to have to change my review after my last experience. Went for dinner with my wife and kids. Got my favorite that I usually get. Was surprised to learn upon receiving the bill that a party of 5 now incurs a mandatory surcharge that isn't posted anywhere that I could find (menu or in the restaurant). When we inquired about it with the waitress she was pretty rude about it.

Funny thing is, we're generous tippers except when it comes to games like this. So the waitress ended up worse off by this.

Don't think we'll be back after this. To many other places that don't play these sort of stupid games.

Can I give the food 10 stars out of 5? Delicious and amazing food. Going to make this our #1 choice for Thai food in all of spring. Every time we go back we are pleased.

It was our first time coming here. I had the massaman curry with beef. I ordered mine mild and I'm very glad that I did. My husband had the green curry with shrimp and ordered is medium. The medium is very hot. So something between the two is probably the right heat. Our service was really good, she was attentive without being intrusive. The food was delivered in a timely way.

They have a full bar and do exotic drinks. Worth trying.

Server Raven has a horrible attitude!
She isn’t pleasant when serving (I have encountered this on several occasions) while dining and take out! I have spoken to management regarding this as well regarding issues I have encountered on my visits. Food was good but server Raven has a lot of issues and doesn’t know how to handle customer service very well. She also has expressed lots of anger if you pick up or order food closer to the window prior to them closing which I had confirmed what’s the cut off time to order because of my work schedule. She actually told me she will refuse to take an order again at that time (which was still prior to cut off time according to management and the restaurant hours).
Again, I spoke to management regarding!
Apologies were given but her customer service is horrible!!! Management made excuses for her (stating she has a lot of personal issues at this time). I question do you value your customers experiences!! (she also had the audacity to ask why do I wait to order so late but again, this is prior to cut off time to order and closing) which is none of her business! As long as I am there before closing of the restaurant which I have always been.
I have observed her treat other customers with rudeness as well! I witnessed her refused water to a table of two men that had finished their food while both cups were empty as they were completing checking out ( they simply asked for some water or water to go) she said would not because they were closing (she was not allowed to give them water) and again prior to the mid day closing. Mind you they had two other tables still there eating.

I have to say that I have been here many times and overheard another table ask a waitress with shoulder length brown hair and glasses for some water at 9:03pm and the waitress had the nerve to tell him loudly across the room that she could not refill his water as they are now closed and she ranted off the close times and said refilling their water would just make them stay and talked to him and the other customer like they were dirt. I was not even the person that she talked to and I was offended by her comments. I think they need to review this on camera. Happened on 8/29 at about 9:03 p.m. and I was horrified as a customer on what a poor response this is. I hire for people in the service industry and I’d never hire this woman. Unbelievable how poor her response was and there were two other occupied tables aside from theirs that could hear her yell this out loudly across the restaurant. If you are the owner of this business and you are reading this, you may want to review the camera footage and reevaluate this employee’s performance on how she handled this situation. If not, you are losing business and it certainly turned me off from coming back again.

***I am adding to this review as shortly after this I had a call with the owner as I went home and my credit card statement showed that they turned my $5 tip into $50. I could not believe it. Yes, you heard that correctly. The owner started giving me some sob story about the waitress when she was acting shady and refunded me the difference.

Shockingly enough, I read further down on the reviews and another customer under the name of Travis Chamberlain experienced the same thing where he was charged excessively for tips he didn’t leave. If you eat here, I suggest you check your credit card bills and dispute.

A quaint and charming smaller restaurant. They have solid vegetarian options which is great too.

Best Thai food I’ve had in Houston so far! Have easily tried 7+ places and Charm Thai Bistro has the best Thai fried rice (in my opinion). Will definitely return!

Food is super mid. Also kinda annoying that they don’t answer the phone and I had to order my meal through doordash. But their portions are great! My meal is def lasting me for 2 eats.

Gave wrong dish. Veagan dish was given instead of real meat. Prices too high for fried rice. Although it was plentiful. Please clean items other people use as dipping sauces. Food tasted good despite mistake. Clean more.

Abby our server was amazing. The spring rolls are excellent and I would definitely come back here.

I'm a repeat customer for the kao soi, it's amazing. The medium spice is not that spicy and with all the flavor. Thai tea is great refresher. The customer service is always phenomenal!

The food is consistently good. We normally order takeout but the dine in service is good.

Catfish and Eggplant dishes were delicious. The pad see ew with eggplant was average. The noodles lacked the slightly burnt taste and the shrimps were small.

The chicken satay was good, but the sauce was a bit watered down. I would recommend skipping the Roti and Curry as it reminded me of a piece of frozen roti, microwaved and lightly pan fried.

The yellow curry was really good! Be careful of the spice level. I found "medium" hotter than I expected.

Love Charm!! Been coming here for great Thai food since before Covid. The food is always super tasty and hot (temperature) and made to your level of spice. Staff are always super friendly even though they a running their tails off! Will be back for more!!
