Amazing Authentic Thai at Thailicious 2 (Dorchester)

We had an incredible meal at Thailicious 2! I ordered the green curry (level 3 spice out of 4) and swapped the eggplant for bamboo shoots. The dish was bursting with flavor, and the curry sauce was the perfect consistency to soak into the rice. It was a bit sweeter than I’m used to, but everything came together beautifully.

My husband got the Pad Thai (level 3 out of 4) with chicken, and it was full of bold flavors, complemented by fresh bean sprouts and scallions.

The portions were generous—definitely enough to share between two people—making it a fantastic value for the price.

We also tried the spring rolls, which had a tasty dipping sauce, though next time we’ll explore a different appetizer.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit and will share this experience with friends !

The great Thai + Sushi restaurant in town. We had sushi, fried cheese wings, grilled pork and Somtum (Papaya Salad). Everything was delicious like the restaurant’s name. Staff were also very friendly.

Called in a to-go order 30 minutes before they closed for the night. The lady said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I got there in 10 minutes and had the pleasure of meeting the owner. She asked if I wanted to eat in ,I kindly declined her offer, considering they were about to close. The owner was so friendly and nice. Now to the food . The Pad-Thai was very good. The best I've had in a long time. I also got the curry puffs. They were very good as well. It's the best all-around Thai restaurants I've visited in the whole Charleston area. If you are looking for Thai, definitely give this place a try. I found my new Togo Thai restaurant in the area.

She was still very attentive and checking on us. It’s a pretty small place but intimate and welcoming. She had a lot of regulars because we could over hear her spewing off orders for people who just walked in and I think that’s impressive! My husband is celiac so we knew the curry was safe but it didn’t have a lot of other GF options.

The tofu spring rolls 3/5 - I didn’t expect there not to be any vermicelli noodles in it. So it was just crispy tofu wrapped with some veggies and the sauce was just hoisin. But I guess that’s how they did it there.
The green curry 5/5- had the perfect amount of spice, veggies still had a nice crunch to it.
Pad see ew 5/5- large portion, grew texture for the noodles. I had plenty left over to take home. Taste wise for these two were great!
Overall a great experience!

Absolutely amazing! The food was so yummy and Pen is just the sweetest thing! She was so helpful to make sure we got something that we would like, so descriptive with the tastes. She connects with her customers so well, you could tell everyone who walked in spoke to her like she was their friend. We will be coming back quite often. Definition of quality food and customer service! Also very clean. This is our new favorite restaurant in North Charleston!

The only thing more wonderful than the food is the service! The waitress and the owner are absolutely lovely. The owner is very accommodating. She will remember you and make sure you enjoy your meal to the fullest! And she's that way with everyone who walks through the door. We have tried about half of the menu and love it all so far. With great value for the portions, this is a go-to for us.

The BEST Thai food! Everything was delicious, I wish I took pictures but we ate through everything so fast. The portion sizes were huge and everyone in our party of 4 loved the food. So tonight while checking on our daughter's house in NC, my wife mentioned that Thailicious 2 is nearby. Since we are always on the hunt for great Pad Thai.... figured why not.
It's cozy and has decent parking. Our waitress was super sweet.
We ordered Pad Thai and originally were going to order 2 orders of the same... But our server suggested we get 1 Pad Thai and 1 Pad Kee Mao... Both with Chicken for out protein.
We were NOT disappointed!!!!
The Pad Thai was some of the best I have had and definitely the best we have had since relocating to the Charleston area 2 years ago.

I loved the Crab & Cheese Wontons. My wife loved (as did I) Crispy Spring Rolls. The Curry Poppers were something new to us. We liked them too... but they were different. But I would be willing to try them again.

Best Thai curry I’ve had in Charleston, but I saw a roach on the floor on my way out.

Absolutely love this place and everyone who works there. We eat there regularly and have tried most of the menu. So comforting. Portions are huge and we end up with leftovers every time. Definitely check them out!

We knew we wanted to branch out from our usual staple dishes like pad thai, so we asked our server (whom I believe may be the owner) for suggestions, and I couldn't have been happier! She recommended the fermented sausage (I forget the actual name, and I also know that it doesn't sound appetizing, but it was my favoritefor the night 10/10), pork jerky and larb gai, and papaya salad. We also ordered the massaman curry. The food was OUTSTANDING! All of it. And to top it off was our server. She was incredible. If you're looking for quality Thai food, then definitely check this place out. From start to finish, it was a great experience in every aspect.

Amazing authentic Thai food. Came here to relive the Thai food experience, and was amazed that the Khao Soi was better than we had in Chiang Mai. Highly recommend. BEST THAI FOOD IN CHARLESTON. We tried the green papaya salad and it was so fresh and tasty. Also the Red curry is super amazing . We also tried basil fried rice and it was delicious too. Must try place.

The family that owns and runs this restaraunt is AMAZING! They are so kind, they take their time, get to know their customers and the love they put into the food they make shows! I'm impressed every time we eat here. It's so delicious!

This restaurant is truly a gem! The owners are incredibly friendly and made us feel warmly welcomed from the moment we walked in. We ordered the papaya salad (spice level 1), the Duke noodle soup, and the red curry, and each dish was exceptionally fresh and flavorful. The balance of flavors in the red curry was perfect, and the papaya salad had just the right amount of tang and spice. The Duke noodle soup was hearty and comforting, a standout dish for sure. We also tried the Thai tea, which was smooth, rich, and absolutely delicious. Overall, this is easily one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended!

WOW.. doesn't even describe the food and experience, first the food, seriously the best Thai I have had in a long time, so fresh were the ingredients it's like I made it, then the service was extraordinary, like on another level, the owner was so gracious and friendly you would think you were in her home. My best friend was Thai, and growing up I was always at her house and eating her mother’s cooking. As soon as I walked in, the smell was like being back in their house, 1200 miles away.

The food here was so amazing, I will definitely be coming back and the woman who gave us our food was so sweet and friendly. I’ve been trying to take more initiative to write positive reviews when I can and this place ABSOLUTELY deserves it. Try the chicken wings. Tasted SOOO good, and just as I remembered them 🥲

EDIT: I’ve come here like 6 times now since writing this review and I’m typing this about to place another order because my husband and I are OBSESSED with this place, it’s our guilty pleasure and our little payday treat. The customer service here is SO good, the woman always recognizes us and she’s always so friendly and kind, helps me bring the bags to my car (we order a lot of food lol) and will often give us a complimentary item as a thank you.

The food is SO delicious and we’re both now obsessed with the yellow curry and some chicken wings. We can’t stay away!! My husband also loves to get the sushi and boba tea! I don’t know if we will ever be able to eat anywhere else ever again.

I was fortunate enough to stumble across this gem on Dorchester Road in the Charleston area. I’ve been enjoying Thai cuisine for more than 20 years and have had every variation possible, I think, of massaman curry. Thailicous’s authentic take on this dish hands down is by far the best I’ve ever eaten. Its rich flavor was met with the perfect balance of spice and a sweet explosion from fresh pineapple. I will be back for more. I also started my meal with the freshest pork gyoza paired with a sweet soy sauce that was brilliant. I've been a Thai food addict for 30 years. I recently moved here and have been trying for 6 months to find really good Thai food and I finally found it here. We had Pad Prik and Basil Thai Rice and both were fantastic. Penny was our wonderful hostess and so polite and knowledgeable. My Go To!

The food here was amazing! We ordered Sashimi, autumn sushi roll and classic friend rice from the menu. Sashimi was one of the best we had. Everything was fresh! Appears to be under new management recently and everything is done meticulously well. We are from out of town but will definitely come back on our next trip.

Great, authentic local Thai spot. Super hidden gem. Their Lanna Curry (Khao Soi) is just as good as you would get in Chaing Mai. Head Chef/GM/ FOH Manager is a gem. As a 'farang' is only of 2 places I give my approval in Charleston...She also has her own garden for Hot Basil leaves and Kaffir Lime. Truly a hidden gem in a place you'd never expect. Except my food truck (80/20). Definitely not shameless advertising. Come enjoy!

Pen and her staff are absolute gems in the world of food service. I have a very hard time finding safe and delicious food due to severe food allergies. The food here is beyond fresh and delicious. She goes above and beyond with each order and makes sure that each request and order are fresh and made properly. I honestly can’t think of any other restaurant that goes this above and beyond to make sure their food and customer service are excellent. I order here at minimum once or more a week and it’s fantastic every time. Highly recommend checking it out.

Penny is the sweetest lady you will meet meet in Charleston , SC . Her family has taken over the business and greatly improve the quality of the Thai Food . Service is a 10+ and the food is equal 10+ . The restaurant seats probably around 40 people, and today was Thursday and it was also full Air Force soldiers . The Air Force soldiers eat there two times a week .

We had a large group of 6 show up there on a Friday night and they were so accommodating even though they were slammed with customers. Not a big place but the food is worth the effort. This is my go to for Thai food.

Pen was wonderful and very engaging. She was a wonderful hostess. The food is amazing. She treats you like family.

Dad recommended and finally gave it a try. The best pad Thai I’ve had in Charleston. The veggies and herbs were very fresh and so was the spring roll. Red curry was great too. Asked for hot spicy level and they definitely delivered. Can’t wait until they have sushi next month. The owner is the sweetest thing, I absolutely adore her!

I was visiting to the Charleston area the week of 8/19 from Tampa, FL. I stayed at the Air Force base lodging and ventured off base to look for something healthy, but delicious. I found this place and I just can’t let it go. I had takeout from there for 3 of 4 nights, only 3 because they are closed on Wednesday. I enjoyed red and yellow curry with chicken. From the sincere warm greeting to the delicious food, everything was perfect for me! Thank you Thailicious!

First thing to say is, the customer service was absolutely stellar! Got the Pho bowl they had, and while their menu wasn’t large (but the Pho bowl was) , it had great variety. It’s a cute “mom and pop” shop, the inside was cozy and they had a great music choice. Amazing experience. Two meals and one app costed $65. A good price for a nice night out and a great experience.

Such a nice, peaceful, and authentic atmosphere, and the waitress, whom I think was the owner, was so kind, welcoming, and gracious! I came by myself and she let me sit in a comfortable booth and read my book while I ate dinner in peace without feeling rushed or like my small tab would be a waste of her time. The Pad Thai was a large portion and with all the delicious traditional flavors. The iced green tea was refreshing and lighly sweetened, almost as good as Thai tea, which I didn't order because I wanted less caffeine. Although, this was very strong and likely will keep me up tonight but it was worth it. I will definitely be back.

Cute little spot with an exceptional pad Thai dish. I got it with shrimp and the sweet version is well seasoned/flavored. If you want more spice they have some spices on the side on the table up to very spicy. We also got their crab wontons which were well prepared with lots of filling and their veggie spring rolls were good too. I would def recommend and come back to this place.

The best Thai food I’ve ever had! 1000% recommended. The Basil fried rice, pork gyoza, Thai wings omg soooooooo good 🤩! The food is cooked and served with love. The owner is incredibly sweet and hospitable. I have never seen someone thoroughly enjoyed their food being eaten. And she gave us complimentary doughnuts, I’m not even a dessert person but I ate everything! Please go and enjoy a meal here. Forever customer ☺️❤️

My grandson wanted Thai food for his birthday dinner. We stopped here and, at first, I was apprehensive because it was smaller than I thought it would be. We ended up enjoying this place so much! The food was great! Our waitress/hostess was wonderful! The owner came out to speak to us and they gave my grandson a bday song and complimentary fried donuts, complete with candles! We will Definitely be back!!

The BEST Thai restaurant in the US for me so far! I am Thai and I can say that this is the most authentic. Pad See Ew and Pad Prik King are my in ternational friend’s favorites. I really enjoy all others including mango sticky rice as dessert. The staff and owner are so friendly and kind. This is a MUST!!!

This is a small little restaurant off Dorchester but the food and ambience are great. I ordered pickup from DoorDash and when I went to grab my food the lady at the front was SO sweet. When I got my food I was a little hesitant because the aroma wasn’t super strong but my yellow curry with tofu was perfect. The amount of spice and the proportions were just right.

Clean restaurant with a cute atmosphere. The food is great. I recommend the pineapple fried rice. The service was above and beyond expectations.

Little hole in the wall in the shopping center so I wasn’t sure, but the service was fantastic and the food even better. I got the yellow curry and my girlfriend got the pad Thai. Both exceeded expectations but I’ll also say this may have been the best curry I’ve ever had. The owner is so charming and personable as well! On a dreary rainy day this really warmed us up and we’re definitely coming back.

I went on a date to this place not knowing what to expect. The food was outstanding and so was the service. I will be a customer for life. I absolutely love the new owners. My favorite was the tom ka jai soup with shrimp. I could it everyday.

This is a very nice little restaurant with great service and amazing food. Highly recommend the chicken pad Thai and pineapple shrimp fried rice dish with veggies. Also we really liked the milky sweet iced Taro tea with boba (no caffeine).

Decided to grab some Thai food during my trip to South Carolina and was pleasantly surprised by Thailicious. My group was blown away by the flavors of our meals and the drinks which were just as delightful. We ordered shrimp & beef pad thai, chicken satay, pad sew ew, fried rice and the soup with along with Thai iced tea and the Thai coffee. If you have room to spare the thai doughnuts are to die for! It's a small family owned restaurant and Penny took care of us while we dined in. She was a breath of fresh air and went above and beyond to make sure our visit was memorable. This place is so good. We have both eaten in as well as gotten takeout from this place and have never been disappointed. The food is really top notch and the atmosphere inside as well is so serene and nice. The staff has also always been very kind and gracious. I've always loved thai food and have had it at many places and this by far has some amazing Thai food. I will continue coming back and enjoying the food.

What a beautiful experience to dine here. It just so happened that we were here for my mom's 75th birthday while visiting Charleston. If we lived here, we'd eat here all the time ... as it stands, it just gives us another reason to visit the area again. Run by a wife, husband and their son, this is a wonderful restaurant with VERY generous portions and some of the KINDEST restaurant staff that I've even experienced. Across the board - from appetizers and Thai iced tea to our amazing entrees to the yummy Thai donuts that our lovely server gave my mom for her birthday. Seldom do you visit a restaurant and leave by giving hugs to our lovely server. But she is so open and loving, that it was so easy to form a true connection in our short time in the restaurant. Trust me, treat yourself to this restaurant! (Also, this family only just recently took ownership of this restaurant ... so if you haven't been for awhile ... you should go again!) A million thank yous for a beautiful night.

This restaurant is an absolute gem, a true culinary delight. I'm not local to Charleston, but Thailicious is at the top of my list for dining options every time I'm in town. The food is outstanding, the service is wonderful, and the location is super convenient for those at the Air Force Base. If you are hungry and in the mood for something spectacular, you owe it to yourself to march on over and give your taste buds something they'll never forget. It's seriously that freaking Thailicious.

Want Thai food? Look no further. Fresh, hot, and delicious. Pad see ew with chicken and crispy garlic with chicken and Jasmine rice were very good. We also had veggie spring rolls which are made fresh. All dishes came out hot and the ingredients were cooked just right. The Thai tea is made fresh as well. Penny, the owner is super sweet. You have to try this place.

We eat a lot of Thai food as my spouse is from Thailand and this is the best in Charleston. My spouse says this tastes just like it does in Thailand, so it really is authentic Thai food. Everything on the menu is amazing to my American taste buds. The owner is so kind and friendly. 5/5 recommend!

After living in NYC and having some of the best thai food spots at my fingertips and then after my experience in Thailand, I wouldn’t have imagined this hole in the wall spot in Charleston. All I can say is that this place brought me back to my time in Thailand. This will be my new go to place, the food was delicious and the hospitality is top tier. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Family of four came for dinner. Thai springs rolls and chicken satay to start. The duck noodle soup is to die for. The pad Thai was amazing and hits different per my 9 year old. We will be back Many more times. Ended with the Thai donuts.

Have visited on multiple occasions and the food has been delicious and consistent each time. We’ve gotten the flavorful crispy chicken wings. The crunchy, crisp and perfect balance of fishy and sour Som Tum. All the dishes we’ve tried have been delicious. The best thing I would say is the owners friendly service and demeanor. She’s guided us to different new selections each time and even gifted the table a sweet donut dessert to try. Have recommended to everyone we know.

The food here is great! I ordered here a few times on door dash then finally decided to go and check it out in person. The doughnuts are fresh, warm.... and great tasting. I love the spring rolls and basil fried rice. I also tried the Thai tea with bubbles and that was great too! The customer service is amazing! They are so nice and care about their customers. You have to try this food! I will definitely be back!

This place is so welcoming very cute in side, the own/ the only person I have seen serving is just so nice and friendly and filled with so much joy and light that you can’t help but smile when you meet her ! Now the food !! The first time I ate at this restaurant, I got it how it comes as is made mild. The flavor is incredible. The second time I asked them to spice it up a little bit. It comes with a good spice on like the medium and the last time I had it cause I’m a heat lover, I had them do it. The spice level was fantastic and had a nice warm heat to it Along with the flavor and richness, you can taste the fresh vegetables that they use. Absolutely incredible love this place.

We heard about this place on a local face book group, I believe the young owner will in time end up ramping this tiny place into a restaurant that will end up being a place to be. We were there for a late lunch, we were sat right away. The server was the owner and what a wonderful lady she is. The food was some of the best we've eaten, it came to us fast and was seasoned perfectly and prepared and presented very nicely. She had the duck soup, we could have shared this alone and both have been full. I'm sure it was a whole duck breast and the flavors were so intense. I had the yellow curry, same intensity and I could not finish it all. There are somethings that will help them in the future. A liquor license and their sushi bar. We'll be back, please try them, it's a place we like to return to. By the way it is not the same as the one in Charleston, same name but different owner. We've not been to that one.

I love this cute cozy place where the owner and her family serve and cook everything from the heart. The thai bubble tea was perfect ! Tom Kah soup was super good balance of coconut and green onion- SO delicious!!!!! I absolutely dream about this soup ! Definitely try this place and they have door dash I learned as well…happy tummy .

This place is Absolutely Amazing. They are so nice and welcoming. I do both take out and dine in here. Never had a bad experience. I bring my daughter in as well and it’s helpful that they have high chairs.

PERFECT!!! The food is spot on! I got the Thai Basil with chicken, green beans, onions, bell peppers in a very spicy sauce (optional) and it was so good, flavorful, and the sauce to food ratio was right. Not to mention, I FINALLY found an Asian restaurant that makes their fried rice with eggs and is not hard but soft and flavorful. Their egg rolls were good as well! Crunchy, soft in the inside and great in taste! Highly recommend if you are in a mood for Thai food or Asian cuisine!

This place far exceeded my expectations. I’ve been on the hunt for the best Thai food in the area, and believe me when I tell you this is the spot. I got the “chili basil special” which was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and the ingredients were high quality and fresh. I appreciated that the chicken was very tender and not chewy at all, like places I’ve been to before. The sauce was also the most authentic chili basil sauce I’ve had since moving to the area. I also got the Thai tea, and that was also so good!
The restaurant itself was very clean, and cute and the owner was very nice! This will be my new go to spot.
