I was torn how to rate this place. Service was ok along with the atmosphere ( though the couch seat was very comfortable). I really like the sun Tom. It was spicy and fresh. The chicken sticks had a good peanut sauce on them . My pad Thai was average. The drunken noodles were good

A hidden gem!!! The food is amazing, I keep coming back! Fresh ingredients, very flavorful. It’s a beautiful place for a celebratory dinner, romantic date, or a causal date night. The service is great, food is brought out in a timely manner. Presentation is lovely, and it’s plenty of food to share. They also offer take out and the quality of the food is still amazing.

Enjoyed Dinner here. The food was fresh. There are many options to choose from and the portion size was large for the price. Prices are very reasonable at around $15-$20 for an entree. The environment is calm and the inside has a clean bohemian/spa vibe. Seating consists of large cushioned bench seats that are comfortable. Will be going back to try other options.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Delco. The ambiance is relaxing and aesthetic. The host and server are friendly and courteous. The food arrived hot, appetizing, and was deliciously prepared. I will make myself a regular here. A must try! But save some food for me!

Always so good and so fresh! Food is always consistent so we're definitely considered regulars. Waitstaff is very quick and courteous. I always go for the New York Broadway roll (pictured) and I've never been disappointed. I don't think I've disliked any of their specialty rolls!

Great food. Lots of vegetarian options. Great sharing quantity entrées. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good pricing too. Kids loved their first try at Thai food. We had made a reservation and got seated inside.

Thai food is my favorite cuisine; Heng's Thai is my favorite restaurant. From their delicately flavored Tom Kha flavored with delicious herbs to the amazing homemade coconut ice cream, the entire meal is unfailingly wonderful.

Great portions, great food, great value, nice vibe and seats, as a pad si ew connoisseur I approve

No stars for the food. I do not know what happened to this place- it used to have very good thai food. The last few times we were there, the Pad Thai had a runny brown gravy, the noodles were saturated and swimming in the stuff. No Tamarind sauce, no egg, no green onion, no bean sprouts, no peanuts, no lime. Pad Thai is supposed to have tamarind sauce and all of those ingredients not brown gravy-soup, noodles and mixed veggies. We tried the "Nuts to you" recently as we had given up on the Pad Thai. The dish sounded like a cashew chicken in sweet light brown sauce. Well there were only a few cashews, a huge plate of flovorless bits of checken swimming in THE FLAVORLESS BROWN SAUCE again- it was not sweet, it was not salty, it had no flavor- it was simply BROWN. Never again. Oh and there prices are VERY HIGH for horrible food. Plus the Sushi chef is constantly sweating- even though he is just sitting there with no customers- wiping his shaved head to mop up the sweat. YUCK.

The steamed dumplings are pillowy and absolutely delicious.

What happened to Heng’s?!
Just got a large takeout order with Duck and other specialty items, and everything including the Duck was just terrible, even the white rice was horrible. We threw it all in the trash. Won’t be back anytime soon.

The wait staff is fast and attentive which is great, however the quality of the food was not what we were expecting. Ordered egg rolls for the appetizer and they were hot but very mushy inside. Also ordered the drunken noodle and pad see ew. The flavors were not accurate, noodles were very wet/saucy and filled with a lot of vegetables that are not normally in the dish, just seemed like filler.

Peaceful, calm simply amazing

I picked up some shrimp pad Thai as I was out in the area. $18. I got it back to my friends place, and I could only find two pieces of shrimp in it. I called, and the clerk began arguing with me that they put five shrimp in there. I went all through it and found a total of four. Ridiculous. And the shrimp are small too! The pad Thai is not that tasty. I will not go back again, and advise other people to find a different Thai restaurant.

Very disappointed, the chicken of the chicken pad tai is dry and no peanuts, the beef of the basil beef is tough and the sauce is watery. I don’t think I will order again.

While packing leftovers, as one dish was untouched, the waiter took half of it. When we came back home, found out clearly the amount was less than half. We are shocked!

I have celiac disease and hardly eat out because of cross- contamination and the fact that most people don’t understand the disease. I mentioned my concerns to the waitress. The manager came out and asked all the right questions. He reassured me that he has other customers who can’t eat gluten as well. He was very informed on what may be inside their sauces, including shrimp paste in case I had a sea food allergy. He assured me they would wash the pan before they made my food and they would be no cross-contamination. I had no negative effects at all. I really felt like they care about their customers. On top of that, the food was DELICIOUS! My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our food. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were large. We loved the presentation of the food too. The bathroom was very clean which tells me that the kitchen is as well. We can’t wait to go back! My only tiny critique was that I didn’t see a need for the television to be on and maybe the lights could be a bit more dim. It was very comfortable however. They had plenty of cushions if you needed them to prop yourself up to the table. A fantastic experience! Try them today!

I got the massaman chicken curry and it was the best comfort curry ever! The sauce is creamy and awesome flavor with the peanut and classic curry veggies! It was really tasty

I haven't had a dish I didn't like here.

One of the nicer Thai restaurants locally. I love their curries, they do a good job with fresh sushi, and the restaurant feels very clean and spacious (particularly compared to other Thai places locally that go with a clutter-chic vibe). Service can be slow but has never been bad. Great for take out, too. They've never mixed up an order. Use caution with spice level as I feel their "level 1" is some other restaurants "level 2 or 3". (Something my husband loves but I can't handle as well)

We came here for Grandpa's birthday. The place was cute, service and food were ok. Grandpa and I definitely were not impressed. I've also had better Thai food. This location was very "americanized." Grandpa complained the rice was under cooked and I agreed. It taste like day old dry rice. Food was overpriced, but the large portions somewhat made up for it. The papaya salad lacked flavor. Grandpa's thom yum soup with fish was bland. The noodles for the pad see ew were overcooked. I kindly gave a score of 3 since the beef basil and the appetizers we had were tasty. Do order the gyoza dumplings, fried taro and fried shrimp rolls. We ended the night with Grandpa's birthday dessert, sweet mango sticky rice. Unfortunately, this fell short. The sweet sticky rice was good, but the mango was not ripe as it is traditionally served.

Great place for Thai. We bring our own wine, and love the comfortable booth corner seating. It is our go to place for an easy night out.

Very spicy, but delicious. Be sure to go for level 1 out of 5 on the spice scale if you are a lightweight.

Best Thai ever

Hengs is always fantastic. It is our go to place to bring visitors. You can't get better Thai food anywhere. The prices are extremely reasonable too.

Love Heng’s! Have been countless times now, usually for takeout. They’re fast, very friendly, and the food is always incredibly delicious and piping hot! Heng’s is a total treasure.

Hengs is my go-to spot for Thai food. I love everything about this restaurant. Customer service is always on point. Food is always prepared in a timely manner. I have never had any issues with them .

We got take out on the weekend. Our 2 eggrolls were rubbery and oily. We also got 2 orders of fried tofu. The outside of these cube like pieces were so tough that I had trouble cutting them with a steak knife, and the inside was so dry, it crumbled. They were inedible! Our dumplings were nearly tasteless. We also got a chicken curry dish that we enjoyed. We hadn't been there since before Covid and back then, we had several great meals.

We ended up spending over $50. Last time I'd ever go there.

Service was excellent and the green curry was one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We absolutely love this restaurant. Food is always amazing and very authentic. Restaurant is BYOB. Highly recommend the pork dumplings. Sushi is also very good! Huge portions and worth the value.

This was the worst drunken noodles we have ever had. We bought 3 kinds. It had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever, the noodles were mush, and there was 0 sauce.

Loved everything we got. It wasn't crowded but seemed to have a ton of people getting take out. Husband loved the Sushi. I got PadThai. Spring rolls. Thai iced tea. Yum!! The ginger dressing tasted really bad though.

I was looking for good restaurants for Pho...I got this restaurant on my search results.
I had to drive almost 30 min from where I stay to this restaurant and I would say It was worth traveling that distance.
Food was amazing and My wife who never liked any south asian cuisine tried Vegetarian Thai dish and she liked it very much.
We visit this place regularly now.

Went in had an amazing lunch, a little on the pricey side, however the food was great. The only thing I didn't really care for was the fact I was seated and no one came over to ask if me and my companion needed anything to drink or appetizer to start with. There was only one other couple seated. We sat patiently for a little over 10 minutes, the waiter passed out table several times, no words, nor looked in our direction.

Once we order the food/ sushi was delicious. Atmosphere was comfortable, place was very clean. No pics of food due to time restraint of having to leave in a small timeframe, when visiting.

I hope there was something less than 1 star. Wooooooorrrrsssstttt food ever I had in my life. The new chef is a disaster even the sushi chef. I have no idea how can people serve this kind of disgusting food. Please please please rather go to next door and only eat gelato instead.

A surprising little gem! I thought I should order something other than my usual at Thai restaurants, so I skipped the Pad Thai and got one of their specialties, Kanom Bueng. Shrimp & veggies in a delicate crepe. It was delicious!
We also had dumplings for an appetizer and they were light, delicate and perfectly flavored. And EVERYTHING was FRESH and beautifully presented. Can't wait to go back!

I was never really a fan of Thai food... until I tried this place. The top thing that stands out with their dishes are the fresh ingredients, particularly the vegetables. The portion sizes are very healthy, usually taking my wife 2 meals to finish everything. We have enjoyed everything we've tried here and love how they let the natural flavors of the ingredients define the dish rather than a bunch of seasonings and spices. Our go-to dishes are the pad thai and pad si-eew. The sushi is good and we enjoy having as a side, but we prefer another local restaurant when we only want sushi. The staff are very friendly and we've had consistent experiences here, whether we dine in or take out. I definitely recommend Heng's Thai Cuisine!

Great soup!

I can't think of one bad thing to say about Heng's Thai Cuisine. The restaurant was clean and simple but had a light and charming atmosphere. The wait staff couldn't do enough to please us and the food was absolutely delicious. It was brought out in such a way that we could enjoy every bite and yet not be waiting for more, or rushed. We were invited there by friends and I'm so glad we gave it a try because this is a restaurant my husband and I will definitely visit again and again. I didn't know much about Thai cuisine, but found I liked everything I tried. I highly recommend checking it out and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here. So many options for both meat eaters and vegetarians a like, but when you order the drunken noodles know that the spice is REAL. If you are looking for a place that will set you on fire (in a good way) this is the location.

Best sushi in Delco!

Great food, ordered take out and a few Thai dishes. Even level 1 was a bit spicy for my kids so might go "no spice" on their pad Thai next time but i enjoyed my level 3 spice. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere inside.

Food here is good, if lacking a bit of flavor. You get very big portions, too.

I ordered pad see ew for takeout. It was delicious and very generous portions. Everything tasted so fresh. My Thai tea was great too. Friendly and welcoming staff. Quick service. I will go back if I’m in the area again. Thanks!

Unparalleled sushi and value

Very cozy and quaint. Food was plentiful and had great flavor. This dish is basil chicken. I ordered spice level 3 which was perfect. Service was on point and food came out fast and hot. Atmosphere was very soothing and calm. Very clean and neat. Hidden treasure.

The beef in the fried rice was as tender as plywood.

Very good flavor wise. I'd like a little more salt but still pretty good.
A little pricey but can have 2 meals easily or two people for lunch
I chose level 4 spicey but I'd different 3. A little too numbing on level 4.
A good mix of vegetables and chicken and noodles but I prefer a little more noodles. Overall pretty good and I'd recommend.

We recently dined at the establishment on Saturday. 9/24/2022. My boyfriend ordered the Tom Kah Chicken Soup and I ordered the Tom Yum Chicken Soup. Both soups were served in the same soup bowl. Today, he ordered the same soups for takeout. Upon arrival at home, the soups were in containers of different sizes. This was a disappointment after seeing the different sizes the restaurant provided for takeout vs. indoor dining. However, the taste of both soups were delicious.

Pricey and food not too authentic, such as the curry not tasting right and pad thai was just okay with noodles being dried. Tamarind, another thai place on south street, center city philly, is better. This is how we know and can compare the food to. For me, the best meal is the taste and the quality of the food regardless of the price.

Had Green Curry and Soft Shell Crab there and it was awesome. Highly recommend!

Recently visited this restaurant with my children over the weekend. The service was just meh. The host didn’t make us feel welcomed for wanting to dine in and given the fact that it was only one other table being occupied I would have expected better service. I had to flag down the waiter to take our order and overall the atmosphere didn’t feel warm or welcoming. The sushi didn’t taste that great and has been better when I have ordered to go, so I’m not sure if our presence was the issue. Will not be back for take out or dine in.

Not enough stars to rate this restaurant. The food is the BESTTTTT. No kidding. Presentation is 100%, the taste is perfect and the staff is very friendly. This is going to be my second home. 🥰

We had great time dining here. The decor was nice and the food was very delicious. We ordered Spring rolls, Pad thai and ended our dinner with fried banana with coconut ice cream dessert.

Pretty underwhelming. Got the 7&7 combo and the sauce was watery. 2/3 of the container was watery sauce that didn’t stick/compliment the ingredients cooked at all. The Kani salad was ok. I keep looking at the spicy crab roll and keep feeling like it was prepackaged. Even came with prepackaged soy sauces that you’d find in some cheap sushi box at a supermarket instead of of cup of soy sauce (which would have been better than being given some off brand sauce) Miso soup was pretty good

Recently a friend and I visited Hengs Restaurant. The place looked clean, atmosphere was ok and the food, although pricey, was good. There was no special service, which is fine. Also thought I'd like to come back again with famiky, etc. We ate, got the bill, she paid and we left. As we were outside, the waitress stopped my friend to question the tip. She was insulting and rude, saying she works only for tips, etc. and what she got wasn't enough. My friend from India, did not understand and gave her more. I am personally all about tipping and tipping generously, but I was disgusted by this waitress's rudeness and ignorance ... and will not be back!!

Any sushi roll that says cucumber will be 85% cucumber and a small amount of fish and the rest of whatever you want. Seaweed salad tastes bad also came with clearly stale Romain lettuce underneath, nothing is that good and much too expensive for what you get with how poor it tastes. Make the trip to somewhere else like new leaf or Margaret kuos. Maybe good for Thai food but Japanese food is not their thing

I've only been here a few times but every meal I've had has been delicious! The portions are substantial. The staff is friendly And the ambience is appealing. With definitely recommended over some other local Thai restaurants.

All of the food was amazing and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be back. Sushi was very fresh and the pad thai was so good that even though we were full, we couldn't leave it alone. Our new favorite spot!

This restaurant is very rude and unprofessional. I ordered food for my husband and I and after I hung up the phone I told my husband the total and he said it was a little too high so about 5 minutes later I called back to cancel the food he wanted. I did not except it to be a problem, but the gentleman on the phone flipped out on me. He was explaining that the food was already made and i would have to pay still have to pay for it, but I did not want to pay an extra 30 dollars for food that wasn’t going to be eaten. I explained that but he kept telling me I had to pay for it. I told him I just didn’t want any of it anymore and hung up the phone. I had to still head over to the store because my friend order food too and we both went over to pick it up. As I entered the parking lot my friend enter the restaurant and about 10 minutes later came back out, as we sat in the car one of the employees came out of the restaurant and started taking pictures of my car. I was very shocked and scared, and soon my friend was explaining to me they were asking her very inappropriate questions and accusing her of ordering more then one order. She had to keep explaining that she was here to pick up one order but they kept insisting she had another one. I would not recommend this place to anyone, again they are very rude, and unprofessional and I just didn’t appreciate the experience proposed to me.

I will never order from here again because the workers were very disrespectful to me . We came to their store 20 minutes before it closed and ordered an hour or two ahead . Understanding how late it was and they probably were tired I had sympathy but not enough for what I went through . They asked me personal inappropriate questions about stuff they didn’t need to know and thought I was trying to play them . For all that happened it could’ve been easily avoided because of how respectful I was but they weren’t respectful back . Because of things that occurred I will not eat from them again.

I was so impressed with the size of the dish that I received it was no lunch size... I ended up taking the leftovers back to my hotel and ask for extra rice and had dinner.
They also had Japanese dishes and Sushi which I did appear over to other people's tables and their food looked just as delicious.

A party of 4 adults and one child had an excellent meal at Heng's Thai Cusine after an enjoyable walk in the arboretum at Swathmore. We will return!
