a modern touch on traditional Thai cuisine
This is our new favorite Thai restaurant in Dallas! The service is always amazing and the atmosphere and lighting are very nice and inviting. We appreciate Alexander and all the waiters that work here. The main reason is obviously the food OMG 🤤 from the tapas to the cashew chicken to the curry dishes, everything is delicious! The prices are just right. Also, the place is always clean and easy to come and go given the big parking lot. My husband and I cannot recommend this place enough. Definitely 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Great place to grab some Thai food! They have a happy hour from 3-6, where you can get a few dollars off select cocktails and appetizers. We tried the Chai Old Fashioned, Crispy Spring Rolls, Thai Dumplings, Pad Thai and Green Curry. Everything was delicious, but I would definitely recommend the curry. So flavorful!
Yummy!
I wanted to get sushi at the shopping mall next door, but they had a 2-hour waitlist. After calling other nearby places, they also had a super long wait. Finally, I found this place. It was a full house, but did not have a wait. We were seated immediately.
We got the Thai dumplings, roti canai, drunken noodles, and braised beef khao soi. They were all amazing. The Thai dumplings seem similar to shumai, but tasted homemade! Roti canai was new to us, but was very good. Drunken noodles was very comforting. That being said, the braised beef khao soi was the best. I've never had it, but I'll be getting it again next time I come. There was a lot of beef that was very tender, broth was rich. Entree portions were huge, and price is reasonable. Service was also good. I was not expecting much overall, but I left impressed.
My first visit here, for lunch. Highly recommended to me, so I will to you!
We were warmly greeted, and promptly seated. 👍🏾
There's a plethora of menu choices! Our server, Sherry, was a sweetheart and answered questions before we ordered.
Crab and avocado spring rolls and fried dumplings were our starters. YUM! Entree-wise, I'm a big fan of fried rice, but had never tried Pineapple. Why not combine two of my favorite things? 😄 The flavor combination of pineapple, curry, and chicken was amazing (other protein choices are available). The lunch portion size was generous! I finished it later that evening and was a bit upset when it was gone... 😕 I'll order the Thai Basil fried rice (with shrimp) on a future visit, because eating all of my cousin's order would've been rude as hell. 😆 Strawberry Limeade was refreshing and an excellent complement to the entree.
Very pleasant experience overall! There's outside seating if you want to enjoy that in the evening. Not so much in the afternoon, until Fall (maybe), because, Texas... 🥵
Blessings, Y'all!
Took the family and here are their reviews:
Thai Dumplings 7/10
R.J.: “Dumplings taste a little over cooked but sauce is very nice! Sweet and tangy!”
Ceviche 7/10
S.I.: “Sauce is delicious. Sweet, fresh, light. Nice salty crunch from the tostadas”
Cashew Chicken 8/10
D.D.: “cashew-y and good balance of flavors”
Beef Khao Soi 7.5/10
Me: Great broth with delicious beef and noodles! Only get if you are up for a lil spice :) the crunch of the noodles on top was delicious✨🤌🏽
First time at this location 6 months ago and the food and service was proper.. the sauces were done right
Second visit on 23-Feb visit and the experience was totally different. Not sure who they had in the kitchen that day but they certainly were not familiar with THAI food. Its all about the sauce.
a. Sauce not done properly, it was more of sugar/overly sweet sauces with no spice. More in line with salsa.
b. Service with noticeable attitude from the moment of being seated. Wonder if it's a skin color thing.
c. Spice 🌶️ level of 5 means the heat is on.. actung/caution.. when we mentioned to one of the waiters that we asked for spice level 4 and none of the dishes ordered had any spice at all.. not sure if he made this up on the fly but we were told the hotter levels are 20 and above.. never heard of that before... The table sauce was horrible.
The food here is killer! I get it often over uber eats and have been in person 2-3 times. My favorite dish is the red curry and the curry fried rice. I have a friend that really likes the Pad Thai.
delish thai tea! can't go wrong with any of the menu items!
Yummy!

I had an amazing dining experience at this Thai restaurant! The flavors were bold, fresh, and authentic, with the perfect balance of spice and richness. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor.
This has to be the best curry fried rice I ever had in my life! My wife loved her food as well.
Cute atmosphere and friendly staff, we will be back!
Flavorful spices for well flavored food. Clean tasteful decor, suitable for friends or business. Plenty of tables for dining, free parking, unassuming storefront (hard to see from the street).
I don't write much reviews but I just had to write one for this place. This place has amazing food! Get the ceviche. Best ceviche I ever had! And I'm Latino (sorry abuelita).
We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and the food was perfect! Everything we had was bursting with flavor. I would highly recommend and will definitely return!
We stumbled upon this restaurant and were not disappointed. The ambiance was nice, the food was so flavorful, I enjoyed my mocktail, and the service excellent. Will definitely be going back.

I happen upon this place as I was doing some shopping in the area and boy am I glad I did. I came during happy hour on Saturday and had the shrimp ceviche, edamame, lychee drop (alcoholic beverage) and crab fried rice. Everything was amazingly good. The ceviche was fresh and the crab fried rice was really tasty. The servers were very attentive and kind. I will def be back again

Fantastic meal and service on Christmas Eve. Megan and Chu were awesome! The pad kee mow and basil fried rice were along the favorites. We will be back.
First time in. Really good. The ceviche appetizer was so delicious and my wife said her noodle dish was the best she’s ever had. I agreed. I had their house curry dish with brisket. Loved everything we ordered. Will be back.
Delicious true thai taste. Pad Kee Mow beef 4 spicy and special brisket curry were both perfectly done. Will def be back
Avocado Spring rolls and pork dumplings were great! Pad Thai was perfection!
Great! Friendly service, awesome atmosphere, and excellent food!
The one thing I hate most about any restaurant is the overwhelming scent of Fabuloso cleaners. This place knocks you over the minute you step inside. Seating for 2 is limited to tiny tables that are too close together to other diners and therefore it is very noisy. We asked to please be seated in a booth so we could sit side by side but we were denied because booths are for parties of 6 or more only. I ordered the Thai Basil Rice that comes with chicken and shrimp. I was disappointed that I only had 2 pieces of shrimp in this dish. We waited quite a while for someone to take our order and when they brought our beer it had not been opened. The waiter apologized and said she would be right back with an opener but she didn’t return for a while. Instead, she was waiting on other customers. I like my food spicy and on a scale of 1-5 spice level I couldn’t tell that they had used any spice at all. This place didn’t really meet the expectations we had hoped for and therefore probably won’t be back anytime soon.
Came here for a quick dinner. AMAZING food!! Everything was delicious and they had big entree portions. Got the curry but couldn’t finish it all because it was huge.
The staff was super friendly as well. But wow the food was amazing! New go Thai spot!
Came here with my lil Sis and Ma. Not from around here but let me tell ya.. if only we had it back home! 😭 Our Ma had red chicken curry, Sis had beef Pad See Ew, and I had the braised beef Khao Soi. We also tried their lechee lemon drop cocktail! Sooo delishhh. I highly recommend. Staff was so tentative and truly care about every customer that comes in through their doors.
Stopped for dinner and had such a lovely experience. Khao Soi with beef had a delicious, rich broth. The meat was tender and generously portioned! The Larb was fresh and tangy and spicy, and we also got papaya salad Thai style with fermented crab. Our server was great, she sent the chef out when we were praising the food and we chatted for a while about where they were from in Thailand. The patio is also beautiful and perfect for Dallas evening dining.
We will be back and highly recommend!!!
I ordered pad se eew to go and it was extremly mid. Pork was over cooked and the flavors were bland. Thai noodle wave has better value and flavor so I'll just make the longer drive
This is probably the best Thai I have had in a few months. Crab avocado rolls and roti canai hit the spot, especially with the dips. The red curry was fantastic as well. Will come again for desserts😁
Excellent Pad Thai. Not too sweet with just the right amount of lime. Papaya salad was refreshing. Spring rolls perfectly crunchy. The restaurant was really nice inside, clean and comfortable. Great service! Will definitely return again. So many things to try on the menu.
Great food and atmosphere!
The food here is so great. The flavors are rich, but not too rich and their spicing system of 1 – 5 is dead on. We like our food spicy, so there’s plenty to be had. Everyone there is very sweet and accommodating. The atmosphere is simple, but very comfortable and the decorations serve the theme well.
We’ve been there twice in one week and went to one of the other locations a few weeks ago as well. Definitely worth a visit!
I almost hate to share this because I don’t want this gem to be discovered and overpopulated, but I MUST share this treasure with you to ensure it stays open.
First off- the location is horrible. You cannot see it from Walnut Hill or 75. It’s right across from Presby Dallas. If you turn it at the main light shopping center you’ll go right like you’re going towards Hat Creek BBQ or Luna grill. Right in the very back, right next to BBQ you will find Ka Thai.
The food is exquisite. Can’t begin to describe how flavorful it is, especially all the sauces. It’s very fairly priced. They offer happy hour Monday- Friday and ALL day Sunday. They HH menu had some great options.
Do yourself a favor and try the Ka Thai ceviche- you’ll wish you got more! It’s also on HH menu. Another great one is the Ka Thai Botanic roll. It’s basically a spring roll with peanut sauce. Holy cow it’s so good!
All the food is made fresh, so you have to wait. Not a long wait at all, but you can tell nothing is pre-made and just warmed up, which I appreciate.
They also have location specific dishes. I’ve had a handful. They’re great. Really, I haven’t had anything I didn’t like and I try to always get something new along with my staples every visit.
Come enjoy!
Wow. Super impressed. Might be best Thai food in dallas! Good jobs guys!

Fantastic food, never been to Thailand but it felt more authentically Thai than many other places. Great flavors and presentation. The happy hour crab and avocado rolls were popular.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! A must try:)
We went here the other day and got some typical Thai dishes like tom kha and pad Thai. We also got the Ka Thai BBQ chicken skewer and the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken skewers were tiny, nothing special, and almost seemed undercooked. The Tom Kha soup was also not impressive, but it was okay. The sweet and sour chicken was decent again; it was nothing too special, and it tasted more Chinese than Thai. Finally, the pad Thai, a classic Thai dish, was awful. I could only take a few bites and didn't want to finish. The taste was bland and didn't taste like actual pad Thai. I was pretty upset because I heard it's one of the best Thai restaurants in Dallas and had high reviews. Mayhebwe, just for the wrong dishes, but for ordering some classics, I don't think so.
Tbh at first I was skeptical about a new Thai restaurant opening in this area. But wow was I surprised how good the food is. I’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants and this place tastes very authentic and one of the best I’ve had. I’ve already been here multiple times and each time I always leave satisfied and full
Qwang my waitress was an absolute delight! She was so kind and I had exceptional service from her & the staff! I had the Botanic Rolls & Roti Canai with Thai Tea- everything was delicious. I encourage everyone to come to this location it’s a little ducked off at the end of the plaza, but worth the trip. Thank you!
My new favorite thai restaurant in North Dallas! So flavorful while still being a clean meal. Service and interiors are well done. Overall amazing dining experience and love the variety of food offered as part of their happy hour menu.
Very good experience, party of three and each dish had a very authentic Thai taste. We had red green Definitely recommend.
Very accessible via the train.
I don’t usually review. But when I do, it’s because it’s so freakin good.
Our go to Thai restaurant in Dallas!
Kwang and crew top notch first time here will be back….
Picked up for the first time. Food was good. However the roti was one small pancake and it was 9:00. The sauce that comes with it is enough for 4 or five pancakes. Will never go back.
Wow!! Ka Thai food is a pleasant surprise and so delicious. We had appetizers and fried rice. My fried rice was made with brown rice that was absolutely the best brown rice I’ve ever had. It was melt in your mouth good. The spring rolls were custom made to my requests and very yummy. The peanut sauce was on fire, literally.
The pad Thai is sublime—subtle and tasty. The pad udon stir fried noodles was so good I started to crave it.
If you can’t take spice just know the tapas street food are very spicy.
We’ve been back for a total of 3 visits and it’s never full. I don’t understand because it’s a lovely restaurant, but it took us a while to find it because it’s tucked away.
A relatively new restaurant in Walnut Hill. The ambiance is eloquent and nice and there's ample seating.
My coworkers and I stopped by for lunch and the food was delicious and beautifully plated! I tried Pad Woon Sen for the first time and will definitely be ordering it again in the future.
The servers were attentive and were always around to fill our waters. Would definitely recommend checking this restaurant out if you are around the area!
Great food, staff, and environment. They can do spicy if you like that or not if it's not for you. Really high quality ingredients.
Very tasty, and not overly sweet, unlike other Thai spots in town.
This was a great lunch spot to meet my friends. Although it was very busy, the service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. We were seated immediately and our waitress took great care of us. Wish 6 stars were available.
This place has the best Thai food in DFW. My wife and I ate exclusively off the Esan tapas menu and everything we ate was excellent. It was spicy, salty, sweet and FUNKY in a great way. If you are looking for a non-Americanized Thai food experience, come here.
The food was very tasty and presented very well. The spice levels were also very well. The only downside to my visit was that our server constantly ignored me and my group. They were nice to give me a free scoop of ice cream for my birthday, but there were moments where we ran out of water and the workers were not busy and did not come over to help us. We also had to wait a long time for them to bring us the check and for them to take our check because they would be helping out other guests and ignore us even though we came in at a non-busy time. We were sitting there done eating, getting on our phones to try and signal that we were done, but we had to ask them to take our dishes, then we waited and had to ask them for the check, then we waited and had to bring our checks up to the workers. These guests that they would help were sitting right next to us and they were dressed a lot better than us, but the workers would just look at us and leave even if she had nothing else to do. I feel that there may be some discrimination because my group and I are 4 young adults and the other guests are mature adults, but that is just from my point of view. We were done eating within 30 minutes but we had to wait another 30 minutes due to the workers ignoring us.
TLDR, this restaurant has amazing food and an amazing atmosphere but the workers are terrible with caring for all of their customers. Don't come here unless you are dressed well or else you may be discriminated against.
Absolutely amazing food! Service is excellent! And the atmosphere is so chill! My new fav Thai place. Move that tree from in front of your sign so everyone can find you and experience such a wonderful place!
Amazing food and great service.
We had been told that Ka Thai was some of the more authentic Thai food in dallas and I would tend to agree. The Esan tapas menu has a warning that the flavors are strong and authentic from Thai street food so be sure you know what you're getting in to lol. The Laotian green papaya salad is fishy and scrumptious. We got 3 stars on the heat which was not hot overall yet I did get a small piece of chili that burned my mouth in a nice way. The Esan Pork rib soup is aromatic with meaty tender rib meat on the bone. Delicious flavors although I would need another dish to fill myself up - it's a thin soup with lemongrass, Thai basil, onions, tomatoes and some bay leaves and mushrooms. The Tom kha soup is very good also. I've really enjoyed the shrimp and chicken basil too. The 3 shrimp have been more akin to giant prawns and were cooked perfectly. I always love minced chicken in this dish and it's got pretty good flavor and fresh veggies. A bit salty. Overall I'm loving everything we have tried and can't wait to work through the menu. Would be fun to eat there with some friends and try lots of dishes.
Very nice. Its new...and so very clean. The food was super fresh and so refreshing. I like good Thai food, and this is some of the best.
Just ate here tonight (take out) after a recommendation on Nextdoor. Tried most Thai restaurants in the area and we would often drive to Richardson for our favorite. The food here was excellent, nice people, very quick service. Their challenge will be location, as they are a bit hard to see from the road, behind Hat Creek Burger Company, but Google Maps took us right to them. Lots of parking. Highly recommend this new restaurant. Let’s support them and keep them here! Our new favorite!
Absolutely fantastic. I tried the chicken and basil stir fry and it was yummy!
This place is amazing. Probably the best Thai food I’ve had in Dallas! Super cute spot too, love the vibes inside.
Best Thai food and service I've ever had. And I've had a lot of Thai food, all across the country and beyond. Definitely 5 stars.
Now this is the best Thai in the area.
Food was excellent. We had beef heaven, roti canai, crab avocado roll, and pad see mew. Kids and adults loved the food.
Service on point
Ambiance very welcoming and nice.
Will be a staple going forward
Very nice dinner place! My family got the Tom Yum Shrimp Bowl, Pineapple Curry, Cashew Chicken, and Pad Thai, and it was all great! My favorite was the Pad Thai and the Tom Yum! We went here after going to the downtown Dallas location, and it was the exact same nice experience! Highly recommend!
Just had lunch here. Great atmosphere, quick service. My pad Thai was delicious. I highly recommend.
Great spot for romantic dinner or a great happy hour .
We are beyond happy to have a ka Thai closer to us! This is the best Thai in Dallas - The food is fantastic as well as the service. Always good always consistent.
Our favorite is the khao soi it taste just like it does in Thailand. Authentic and delicious
Everything that I tried was delicious. Spice level perfection. Please ask for Huang & Vo .
Went for a business dinner with a Thai food craving. High quality ingredients, great service and comfortable atmosphere. Will go again
Love the new location. The best food and the best service!
Amazing service from my server Kwang and the staff as a whole, delicious cocktails and appetizers, and my main entree the chicken thai fried rice was delicious! It was a very large and filling portion. The environment is lovely and well decorated and they have a small outdoor patio for seating too!
We had lunch (3 of us) at Ka Thai on Sunday - we were told it opened about 2-3 weeks ago (explains the low number of reviews). We were in the area and looking for Thai.
The place was very nice (bathrooms are immaculate). Service was outstanding - we were hoping for great food & we weren't disappointed.
We started with Crab Avocado Spring Rolls (amazing). The 3 of us ordered: Traditional Thai Fried Rice with Chicken, Thai Beef Noodle Soup and Pad Thai (Shrimp & Chicken). All 3 dishes were simply outstanding.
We live about 30 minutes away, but have already discussed going back - highly recommended!
First fell in love with Ka Thai at their uptown location, and was so glad to see they opened this location closer to where I live. Everything I’ve ever ordered here has been amazing. The ambiance is relaxing and cozy, and the service/staff are always fast, kind and attentive. This is our favorite Thai spot in Dallas!
They did it again! Love Ka Thai!
Highly recommend you order the wings with Thai sauce, spicy edamame, crunchy spring rolls and of course some Pad Thai.
What an amazing place! Great Food Great Service.
One of the best Thai restaurants in Dallas. The food is excellent and the staff was very welcoming. Will definitely be back - highly recommend this place!
Im not big on trying new places, especially if they just opened. Everything is SOO expensive nowadays that you tend to spend your money on things you already know you like.
Well, I'm very happy I decided to take a chance on Ka Thai. Service was exceptional and the food... AWESOME. I tried a few items on their happy hour menu, and it didn't disappoint. Everything was cooked to perfection. The plating was pleasant. The atmosphere.. Chill...
I really hope Ka Thai does well. I'll be back next week for lunch.
Excelente!
La comida espectacular, buen servicio
From the moment we walked in I felt welcome. We were pleasantly greeted at the door and swiftly brought to our table of choice. The ambiance is Thai mid-century modern with natural earthy tones. The Ka Thai BBQ was to die for. Extremely flavorful and something I could have eaten for my entrée. The fried rice was also extremely good and very well flavored. There is nothing constructive I have to share about our experience. We will be back weekly!
thai restaurant that just opened up in the area. very chic decor, but just the right size, that it still eludes a comfy atmosphere for a nice dining experience. noticed they also had patio and bar seating as well. employees are nice and welcoming. food and service was great. would definitely be coming back to try other things off their menu.
Came on their second day open. Food was delicious, service was great, definitely will be back!
