While manning the whole front end, she still managed to be attentive and on top of everything we needed. Definitely will be back. Large portions that are just right and skillfully rendered. The salmon salad is one of the tastiest things I've had in years. Similar somewhat to Som Tum papaya salad it had greens as well. A++++

The fresh rolls were very good. Best I've gotten in PDX. Peanut sauce very good as well.

Tom ka is great.

The pad se ew was good, but nothing special. Spouse liked it more than I.

Thai iced tea was good.

Decor was fine. Very clean. Staff nice.

A warning (and about the only negative): The restroom is VERY not handicapped accessible. And If you're over 6' watch your head. I won't try to describe how you get to it... Let's just say children, the elderly, and any folks who get confused should have a guide... Maybe I'll post a video eventually.

pad thai was good but a little too sweet

Mussaman Curry had no peanuts in it and I bit into a few long onion skins that I had to pull out of my mouth. Ordered medium and there was no heat at all. Just overall very disappointing.

The food was incredible. Staff are friendly and enjoyable. The Basil fried rice was pretty spicy at medium. The pumpkin curry wasn't very spicy at medium.

Absolutely wonderful Thai food. We love it. And the staff are exceptionally sweet. Plus, easy location and reasonable prices.

I’m a delivery driver, if the wait is longer than five minutes they are supposed to tell me and I am supposed to cancel. They know this so they intentionally lied to me, and repeatedly told me two more minutes until 20 minutes went by and I finally just left. They are intentionally harming low wage delivery workers. Do not patron this place, vote with your dollar, stop unethical business practices and do not buy from this evil and predatory business.

To reiterate in reply to their reply. Having a wait time is fine, lying about the wait time is not. If its a 20 min wait, say "it will be 20 minutes" and the courier can leave and another courier can come back in 20 minutes. Do not lie and say it will be 2 mins when you know it will be 20.

Some of the best Thai food I've had in the US, have dropped by this place a couple times now and it's been sublime every time. The food is perfectly cooked and flavored, and the portions are great for the price. Will be coming back again and again.

First time getting take out from here and easily some of the best Thai I’ve had in the city. Staff was very nice when I picked it up and the food tasted incredible. Will definitely be coming back!

Their drunken noodle is one of the best I’ve had in Portland. It’s not overly saucy, no stuck together globs of.noodles, and it seems to always have a nice sear? Not sure how they cook it differently, but it just tastes better than any other pad kee mao.

I didn't realize that I have only ever left bad reviews of things. I have to be pretty angry or worked up to bother. But last night I had dinner and was eager to get home and write this review.

We all know there are 200 Thai restaurants in Portland, and all of them are good. A few are really good. Thai Pod is hands down the best Thai I have ever had, and that includes the several trips I have made to Thailand.

I had dinner there with my friend, who is actually between trips to Thailand, and agreed that it was as good or better than anything else he has ever had.

The flavor was just amazing. I am not one for spicy food, so my food tends to be a bit on the bland side elsewhere. But our dishes were powerful in flavor and dynamics. Every bite was delightful and encouraged a compliment. We couldn't help but talk about how good it was.

Plus it's a cute little place, great for date night, inexpensive. Again, hands down the best Thai I have ever had.

It's a very nice spot, great for takeout or dining in. The staff is memorable and personable, you'll be remembered from your previous visits, and the atmosphere is filled with lush houseplants. It feels like you're visiting friends or family who happen to cook wonderful Thai food.

Last night’s pad see ew was absolutely delicious. The portion was substantial and it was rich with flavor. However, I am currently on the toilet. I deeply regret my choice of “very spicy”. Surely, it won’t be too intense I thought. I am a spicy pro, I thought. I thought wrong. My Norwegian ancestors were not built for this, and hundreds of years later, neither am I. 10/10 would do again.

We went here yesterday for a quick lunch, and were absolutely amazed. Walking in the door was like entering a greenhouse, there were just that many plants. The waiter was as friendly as any I have ever met, and the food, when it came, was delightful. The pumpkin curry was perhaps the best Thai food I have ever had. I will definitely be back next week.

So myself and three friends came for dinner here last night. The gentleman who was working the front of house was one of the best servers I have ever seen. He was genuine, helpful and loved the food he was serving. This family run restaurant is a must visit but please beware, when it said hot it means it’s hot!! Il be back next year for sure!!

Ordered delivery today and it was fantastic! Finally a Thai place in Portland that brings big flavor and actual heat. The pad Thai, fried rice, and fresh rolls were the best we’ve had in town. Medium heat was perfect and actually spicy… like Thai food normally is in other cities but for some reason rarely is in Portland. A new fav.

Lovely spot with AC. Great service and even better food. Everyone in our party was very happy with their dish. It was a lot of food so we brought a lot home. Prices are very reasonable.

My friend and I came in about an hour before closing and they were very gracious and patient with us. We casually mentioned that we wanted to order the chicken wings to split and when our order was taken, he said he'd already started making them because he overheard us. If you don't know, deepfrying can take quite a bit longer than you think and making fresh wings can be very time consuming, so because of his anticipation, we got our wings very quickly. They were very good. Nice and crispy on the outside and juicy well cooked meat on the inside. The sauce was a great compliment and they didn't overdo it by drowning the wings in the stuff. As a main dish, I got the yellow curry. It's very well balanced and not overly sweet like some places. I got it mild, but I might try medium spicy next time. The atmosphere was so welcoming. I love all the plants. There was enough texture in the space that I could speak fairly quietly with my friend without being drowned out by reverb and noisy music. The price was very reasonable and I wish there was time to try their mango sticky rice, but I didn't want to order something right before closing. I guess I'll have to come back.

I've been going to another thai restaurant thinking that's real thai food until I came here, it's different experience for me because I didn't know what's real thai food taste like. This is going to be my favorite thai restaurant for sure.

I'm soooo happy to see that this spot survived the pandemic! The Tom Kha is my favorite, but the Pad Thai and many different curries are close seconds. This time we also got the BBQ Pork Fried rice and I was blown away! Portions are generous enough to share but everything is so delicious that you might not want to! 😂 There is an impressive menagerie of plants all around that set a lovely mood, too. Visit soon and tell all of your friends to keep this jewel around forever!

We had lunch here today and it was delicious. I had Panag Curry with Chicken (my favorite) and it was the best I have ever eaten. My sister had Cashew Nut with veggies and chicken and she couldn’t quit talking about it. Our waiter was stellar and this place was very busy. I highly recommend Thai Pod, you need to give it a try!

For the time being, this will be my secret spot 👌🏿. I'm sure at some point people will realize how good it is and it will be too crowded. Until then... secret. Also, they can make things vegan (just let them know). And Auntie makes good Thai iced tea and the food is made to perfection 😋

Best Thai food I've had!

Honestly some of the worst Thai food I've ever had in Portland. Everything just tasted super process and old and not fresh at all. I would definitely not recommend or go back.

This place is a neighborhood staple. Great fresh food, fast friendly service, agreeable prices. Take out is always packaged properly, and the dining room is super cozy with art and plants everywhere.

These folks took a big hit during covid and like a lot of small businesses, are still feeling the effects. Get in here and support your neighbors!

They have a fabulous environment. The lush plants in the window make it feel a little tropical. The food holds it own. Authentic, flavorful, and hearty servings make this place a repeat on my list. Very friendly in addition to quick table service.

Unfortunately, we ordered salad rolls, and they completely exploded upon opening making them in edible. They also used a lot of iceberg lettuce, which I don’t think of as traditional or tasty.

One of the best food options in the area!

This used to be my go to spot for Thai. Quality has gone way down. My to go order had next to no spice even though I requested it medium. When I opened the box to get my rice, the rice it was in a plastic bag that had been microwaved way too long so it was more hard paste than rice. Not sure how bad you can screw up rice but they sure tried. Not going back, they can keep their microwaved rice blob.

I’ve had Thai Pod a number of times at catered events and it’s a massive hit with the group every single time. The curry is to die for!

Staff was super nice, and the food was fantastic! There is such a wide variety of dishes on their menu, and everything I've tried is really good. I loved their yellow curry, and the duck ginger was really good too. Definitely going to come here again whenever I'm in the area.

The food and the service was AMAZING! I ordered the Pot Stickers (deep fried) and the Duck Stir Fry and I added broccoli for an additional fee. It’s a must visit.

This is a small family owned restaurant and I ordered Spicy catfish in curry sauce with bamboo shoots, bell peppers, eggplant, and crispy basil (pictured). This was a house special dish, and it didn’t disappoint.

Larb salad is fantastic, one of the best I've had. Tom yum seafood is amazing.

I’ve been here a couple of times when I lived in PDX. Their food is delicious. The restaurant is very cute, it’s small but I like it. I’ve had their pad Thai and also their curry (I can’t remember which one I got) and they were both delicious. I would highly recommend this place.

The owners are good people. I have catered 3 events with Thai Pod and they have killed it each time. It is always my guests favorite meal that we bring in. Ordered some Pad Thai “as spicy as they can make it”. Normally Thai places give me “white boy” spicy which is like 3/10. I had a hard time finishing the meal and was sweating by the end of it. 10/10 would recommend. Exactly what I asked for!

The pad thai was delicious, and one order of it made two full meals for me! My partner got a barbecue stir fry special that was also very good. I have the feeling this is one of those joints where anything you order will be amazing!

I first started coming here when I moved in across the street over 2 years ago. the first thing I order from a Thai restaurant is always red curry. After one taste of Thai Pod's red curry, I was hooked. So many beautiful vegetables cooked to perfection. The most common problem that I have with Thai curries is that sometimes they are just too sweet and you don't taste all of those beautiful Thai flavors. I have now had the chance to try many other items on their menu, and there is not much to complain about. Some other favorites include: drunken noodle and cashew nut stir fry.

the spice level was wrong on all three of our entrees and my shrimp was so over cooked, it was inedible, but the pad thai was decent and the mango sticky rice was really good.

I've ordered from this place a few times and I haven't been disappointed. Good portion size and flavors. I got the Yellow Curry w/mild spice. There was excellent flavor and a nice heat to the dish. The veggies were cooked through but not soggy. The Pad See Ew and Crab puffs are also excellent!

The teriyaki chicken tasted nothing like teriyaki but instead like someone threw a whole hunk of ginger in a pot with some chicken and served it soupy with some wet veggies....

Thai Pod is my go-to place for thai food in NE. You can't go wrong with the pineapple fried rice, pad woon sen, green curry, or red curry. I never order thai food from anywhere else now that I've found this place.

The colorful awning and plants on the front of the restaurant are eye catching and attractive, making it easy to find.

Online ordering and paying before arrival is convenient and no-touch - easy for COVID-19 social distancing. I look forward to the day when dining in is allowed again. I think the ambience inside would be quite nice.

This was the first time I had Larb. The fresh cilantro and mint with cucumber slices, mini tomatoes, and the light sauce on the chicken was delightful. Nice presentation.

Best pad thai in town!

We just picked up a lunch from this place. Though the website said 15 to 20 minutes, it took 30. Then when I was summoned from outside to pick up my order, the cashier wanted to charge me for another meal that wasn't our online order. She attempted this several times before she finally gave me our order THAT WAS PAID FOR. And this is from a restaurant that served a man before us that wasn't wearing a mask in a public restaurant. We won't be back to this place.

Asked the lady that answered the phone to surprise me. She did, the red curry she chose was excellent. The pad sew ew was delicious and spicy just like I like.

Wow what an amazing restaurant with such a huge diverse menu. Who knew there was more than one curry. This place is a family owned buisness literally from husband to wife down to their children. I loved the way i felt walking in and now that im stuffed i cant wait to go back thanks for the amazing expierience

Amazing food the crab puffs and pot stickers are so so so delicious and you can obviously tell they are homemade completely

Average Thai food if you're eating vegetarian. I can't speak to the meat but the tofu was decent and the spices were good. Nothing special but I wasn't at all disappointed with my dish. I live close enough that I'll definitely be going back and trying other dishes. I'll update my review when I do!
