Service was pretty fast and the food came out quick and hot. Good portions and well prepared dishes. The place seemed pretty efficient and popular for lunch. They might run out of items if you wait towards the end of their operating hours so get there early if your concerned.
This place is awesome. Super fresh, bright, spicy-sweet-savory delicious. Snappy vegetables. Good heat if you ask for it. None of that over-sweet, under-seasoned, cornstarchy stuff you get at most Thai places cooking for an American clientele. Great stuff. Wish I lived nearby and could come all the time.
I don’t know how to describe it. Lots of rich authentic flavors instead of that fake red ketchup type sauce that some places tend to use. Super yummy! Excellent food. Highly recommend! Will be a regular as much as I’m in the area. Only down side is, they are closed on Sundays and we often like to eat out on Sundays so it’s not available. Great service. Precise on modifications. Try the pad Thai or pad ke mow and I think even the red pineapple curry but I’ll have to come back for that review! Wish they were a sit down restaurant! Yum yum!
I ordered #60 (veggie) Pad Thai... and I have to say.. I've been to 45 states, and got to stop and really smell the roses everywhere I went. Portland is one of the special places in the country where you can get really good food from different cultures, and even fushion cuisine. Thai food is one of my favorites, and usually when trying a new Thai place, I first start with the Pad Thai, because it's such an easy dish --- and if the Pad Thai is good - chances are their other dishes are.
First, I have to say they do not carry lime. Seems a little bizarre but not the end of the world.
The service was absolutely atrocious, but its a hot day, i understand how it must feel cooking in this heat.
Now the food --- This was literally one of the WORST renditions of Pad Thai that I've ever had. I honestly don't even know that I'd call it Pad Thai.
I couldn't even smell the spices or the fish sauce which was very strange to me, but I gave it a chance --- and its just so... bland.
I'm going to eat it because I don't want to waste it... but it's definitely NOT what I wanted or expected. I tried to give this place the benefit of a doubt on all stops but the food just isnt good, and one of the women working there is snappy and rude.
Wonderful place for lunch! Great tasting food from super nice people.
Fantastic Everytime.
I got the Pad See Ew twice in 3 days because it was so freaking good. The proprietors were really nice, the park here is beautiful, and I ate every crumb they gave me because each was more a delight than the last.

Here for a convention and decided to give it a try as there are few food choices around
I got the "NEXT treatment", terrible service. Good was just okay for what you pay.. Small portion on a kinda dry Pad Thai, No choice on dressing to add or take out
Not a good truck food experience, not recommend
Feeling they just want to maximize the short time they're open

Great food and nice outdoor seating in the park.
It's just amazing taste. The location may seem off to some because of food truck type setup and but let me tell you, you will be surprised by the taste of food.
Amazing pad Thai! This is now or go to food cart when in the area, great food and good price 😃
Best Thai in town

Hands down! Best Pad See Yew in the city! Pad See Yew is my go to dish to order at Thai restaurants and there is a lot of mediocre versions out there (bland, chewy beef). Order ahead by phone and it will be waiting for you to pick up if you're short on time.
Love the food and the friendly people here. The location was easy to get to and parking was available on the street within half block.
I ordered two #44 (Mussaman Curry) which is what we usually order. It looked like they ran out of curry and they made two portions out of one by adding plain water, we didn’t eat it. Honestly, it tasted like chicken broth + sugar, curry flavor nowhere to be found. It was very disappointing because we were regulars here and we loved e-San.
Started working near E-San and the food did not disappoint! Gonna go here for lunch again! Love their pad thais!
Good pad woon sen and pad kee mao
I visited Portland for work and one day walked to this food cart due to its convenient location. I’m gluten free and y’all, this did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly and gave me pointers as to what would be safe for me. I purchased the Pad See Ew and it was phenomenal!! I can’t wait to return to Oregon for this dish!!
Rating purely the food, it's perfectly fine. But it seems every time I go there they are out of what I want. They run out of garden rolls, or wide noodles, or...you name it. Seriously, a Thai place that runs out of noodles?
Also, if you have allergies, skip this place. I have a severe reaction to broccoli, and about 3 out of 4 times, they leave it in anyway. I'll chock that one up to language barrier, but I still want to give you a heads up.
Edit: Things seem to be improving on this front. Running out less, and they're getting the customizations right.
I really like the food here, the portions are great and most of the stuff is $10ish. The only problem is there wacky hours. I still haven’t figured them out, it’s like 10am to 2ish?
The people are lovely, the food is most excellent, and the speed is super fast. The only thing i keep forgetting to do is ask them to make it spicy. The standard is flavorful, but not spicy.
I like eSan for their consistency and reasonable prices. You don't get quite 2 meals worth, but then you don't pay too much either. They offer a wide range of Thai dishes and a variety of proteins and spiciness levels. I'm always happy to see an eSan cart because I know it's gonna be ok.
Best chicken yakisoba I've had in a long while.
Best Thai I’ve had since visiting Thailand! You’re lucky Portland! Highly recommend the chicken pad see ew dish
My favorite local Thai food cart, been coming here for years
Fresh, good portion. Definitely worth the money
Great food, nice people, will come back!!
Quick, authentic tasting Thai at reasonable prices.
Favorite pad thai in Portland. Easy, cheap, and tasty.
Not open, wasted part of my lunch walking here. Please update your hours.
I used to eat lunch here about once a week - the quality and portion size for the price has always been amazing. Great food truck!
A nice spicy and hot Tom Yum soup on a cold rainy day is the best remedy :)
Its alright lol
Great fresh food!
Food is good but the spice is inconsistent.
First time trying it out, was great! The worker there was so informative and the food was excellent! Will definitely recommend.
Huge portions of delicious food for reasonable prices. People are friendly and the orders come up quickly.
Great lunch spot
Service was great!
I like spicy food. This pad thai was almost too hot to eat. tastes good.
This is one of the best currys I've ever had, and the guy was so nice. I told him I was laying off the carbs and he gave me extra curry and less rice. So much immaculate curry for a good price.
The food is alright, you get a lot for the price. The wait can be really long at lunch time and it's difficult to order ahead of time.
Foods great. Except.
Drove down from clackamas for curry. Got there at 4:10 PM and they were closed. Google says they're open until 5 and no one answered 🤷♂️
Good Thai food.
great portions and quick too! Their Pad See Ew and Pineapple Fried Rice were on point, not too salty and perfectly flavored. Would definitely go back again for my Thai food fix.
I love this place. They always have the freshest ingredients, and delicious food.
Calling ahead of time before picking up makes the difference. I ordered a “super extra extra Asian hot” pad kee mao and they delivered on the spice, props to them.
Also the food depends on the difference cooks so 4.5
Love! Love! Love! E-San Chicken Pad Thai!!!
I prefer food cart near Lloyd Center. Hmmm.
Great little spot I didn't expect to like as much as I do. The pineapple fried rise was great!
Always delicious. Evil prince, chicken, medium spice = the best!
Incredible for celiacs! Owner's wife is allergic to gluten so just about everything is gluten free
Awesome
Can't beat this little food cart for their yummy thai food! I like spicy and always get mine with a serious kick. Sooooo good. They use lots of veggies and don't mind making it gluten-free for me. Their food is awesome! The only that isn't awesome is the wait sometimes, but I try to call in my order to cut down on the wait time. Definitely worth it!
