Fast-Casual Laotian and Thai restaurant serving fresh made to order food in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
This place was recommended to me by a friend, and it certainly was a good one to try.
Extremely friendly and kind staff, very nice and laid back vibes inside, and the food was absolutely incredible!
I had the Curry Fried Rice and it was extremely delicious!
Definitely worth stopping by and trying if you have the chance!
I’ve been here twice and both times have been met with the most friendly staff and incredible food! The first time I spoke to Ubi at the front and had a conversation with him while he was getting everything ready. On the second visit I had a very similar experience with extremely friendly staff and amazing food. 5 stars isn’t enough for how great this place is!
Update: the food is still great as always but I have noticed the portion size drop considerably and haven’t been going as much recently. This most recent trip my curry was just about exactly half full.
My husband & I are so glad this Laotian & Thai restaurant opened nearby. I was craving papaya salad & mango sticky rice, & they hit the spot! It was our first time trying Laotian sausage, & it was pretty good! We also got our usual pad see ew, but we’re going to come back for more! My husband & I really appreciate the self serve ordering kiosk (because we’re both introverted), yet it was pleasant knowing that the staff are pretty friendly as well.
Hands down the best Thai/Lao food in Irving in my opinion. Always the same tasty food and fast service. The older gentlemen working is always smiling and upbeat-I love it. Great new addition to Irving. The restaurant is also kept very clean which is an indication of how clean that kitchen is.
I am SO glad that a laotian place opened this way. The inside is setup like their other locations and is tailored to Las Colinas. My go to order is the ZAAP combo just because my obsession of sticky rice and papaya salad stemmed from birth 😅. I have an allergy and they were very accommodating. Service is friendly and the guy will explain what the foods are if you have any questions/concerns.
You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.
I'm personally a fan of their red or yellow curry w/ chicken outside of the combo.
Parking area is shared w/ other businesses.
Congrats on the new location ZAAP. 👏
5 stars across the board. I work nearby so I eat here often. The food is so delicious and flavorful. The curry fried rice and the Tom Kha are my favorite. Great portion sizes for the price.
First time trying this place. Ordered it for our anniversary and it was a great decision! The crab Rangoons were rolled and had amazing flavor! The yellow was next level! Definitely recommend

Ordered through Uber,
Excellent service and great food!!!!
First time ordering from this place. I absolutely love Thai, however when I got my to go order and finally ate it, the potatoes and sweet potatoes in my curry and my friends' curry were raw. I called the restaurant and she stated to either cook the curry potatoes again or can an exchange. Overall good flavor in the curry, just wasn't ready for crunchy raw potatoes and a lackluster customer service. Won't order again nor recommend this place to others.
Great quality ingredients, food was very tasty and portions are as expected. We will definitely come back.
Food is ok taste the same as any other Thai place but service is terrible. Placed order for to go and waited 30 min. Kept having to ask how much longer and the Indian lady did not care.
Table next to me got their order right away.
They put to go in a plastic container and they have paper for dine in? Why not use paper for both?
This restaurant is my new go to thai restaurant. They have by far the best drunken noodle that I have eaten. I just wish they had Panang curry.
Everything was good
Tried the Tom Kha (Thai coconut soup), and several other dishes in the last few months…. it's great and service has been consistent.. im giving 5 star as this place and a big shout out to Mr. OT who took care of a very minor concern immediately.
First time trying them. Good size portions and fresh tasting food. Been in the area for years and I've been missing out
This was my first and last time coming to this place! I only came here because Andalous was already closed. Terrible food and terrible service. The curry I ordered was too salty that it was inedible. The fried rice was also salty, but the lady there said that it was perfect and that they had had no complaints. I just wanted to return it, but the lady said she would exchange it. The cooks were angry that I returned their food, and they were making rude comments. Before leaving the both cooks mockingly said thank you, and the front lady was also rude and in a bad mood since the start. I’m going to throw the food away, because by their behavior, I have no doubt they tampered with my food. I have never seen such childish and unprofessional behavior from a restaurant worker. I spent almost $40 plus tip for mediocre food and service. I honestly deserve my money back because it’s such a waste to throw it away on rude and entitled behavior from the restaurant that doesn’t appreciate its customers.
Excellent Thai and Lao food. Order and pay at the counter and they bring your food to you. Tom Kha soup was very good.
I like everything about this place, but for the cutlery they are using for dine in. Spoons used for soup are flimsy plastic, leaving not a great experience.
Asked for spicy (pad thai and Thai basil stir fry) on both my dishes. There was 0 spice at all. Terrible did not listen to instructions.
AMAZING!!!!! I genuinely mean this when I say this, go here asap!!!
the best pad Thai!!! Always fresh and good
Padthai and jerky were ok. Not bad, but nothing special to specifically order from again. Sticky rice portion was really small.
Really good food
If you love authentic quick and delicious Thai food then this is where you need to be.
EXCELLENT FOOD. The Pad Thai and Mango Sticky rice is phenomenal! Price point is good and the customer service was amazing. Lucky anticipated our every need, and made sure we have everything we needed, even if we didn't know we needed it.
Amazing, exceptional Thai food - will definitely recommend this to all the Thai food lovers of the world!
It needed more spice, on me thought. I selected 4 instead of 5. Super healthy, super delicious, yes I will definitely be back. Good people, good food, good job.
Had take out from this place for my birthday and it was decent “fast” food. Never had Lao food before but it was like other Asian foods I’ve tried in the area. Had 6 different dishes ordered and they were all good. Have I had better Thai “style” food….yes! Have I had better authentic Thai food….yes! Does this food do for a quick fix and taste good…yes! Overall, the food is a 3.5/4 out of 5 stars.
I ordered the red curry soup. I am vegan and it didn’t allow me to sub for tofu. So I ordered it anyway thinking the chicken would be large chunks I could pick it out. It’s pulled chicken with bones. I almost chocked a chicken bone. The noodles become soft in the soup that is almost melt in your mouth. My sister had the fried rice. It’s served in a chipotle bowl and overly priced. It tastes like rice you can get from WOK. Not unique in any way.
This was a surprising find! The food was delicious and the chalk mural was beautiful. Service was great and the owner was a delight to talk to. I highly recommend going! We will be back!

I had the Curry Fried Rice and it was extremely delicious!
Definitely worth stopping by and trying if you have the chance!
Ordered thru Ubereats. PAID TOP DOLLAR for direct delivery and tip. Paid TOP DOLLAR for extra shrimp and chicken mixed vegetables stir-fry with NO CORN, NO MUSHROOMS, NO TOMATOES. I have had Zaap and this particular entree at least a dozen times in the past 3 months. First time ordering from the Irving location. THE ENTIRE WAS WRONG. Now, I am trying to get Ubereats to refund me . Employees need to pay attention to what is packed in the bags. The receipt attached was correct. The ENTREE was DEAD wrong. I am allergic to corn. I'm so glad I did not just start eating without inspecting. I could have been DEAD. Do better
Great food - all dishes were fantastic. Very friendly owner and courteous staff. Best of all prices are very reasonable.

We enjoyed the food, especially the pad thai, which was delicious. However, the service was terrible. The waitress at the checkout was unfriendly and when I asked for extra chili sauces, she gave me attitude and seemed unwilling to provide them. It was a bit strange. I don’t expect super high-quality service but at least the employees could be nicer or generous and more helpful. She doesn’t even say hello or goodbye. Thats rude! Aside from that, it's a good place.
Great food and good value for Money
But the place is not cosy and inviting to sit in
Food is served on disposables - please be more aware of the environment
Very glad this place opened up in my area. Staff is great, hardworking and friendly. Very clean place. Good food!
Had to edit my previous review: Ever since nice Asian couple has left and Indians took over, theu have 0 customer service, not saying hello, not saying thank you and not saying bye, basically tell them your name of pick up, she quickly passes you the food and off you go. These Hindus need to learn manners. Lost me as a customer 100%.
Noodle dishes were very fresh and tasty. Multiple groups and families were there, with some regular customers. Employees were super friendly and helpful.
Good food
Please update your hours. Came at 9:30pm to eat. Lady at front said we have to take to go only because dine in is closed at 9:45 for cleaning. Great way to turn away customers.
Thai teas are pre made sitting in the fridge and it tastes like it prefer it fresh especially for the price! Only downside to the meal freshness goes a long way
I’ve been to SE Asia several times and this eatery matched exactly what I love about a Thai cuisine! I’ve had the red and yellow curry dishes with tofu and spring rolls and tea. DELICIOUS! I also met the owner and others working there—so kind and eager to please. Atmosphere was sleek and modern. Loved the chalk art! Go, your tastebuds will thank you!
Best chicken wings in DFW! Consistently fresh, delicious and adequate heat level.
I had their kapoon. It was just okay. Not much depth to the flavor of the soup.
Great place for lunch!
The food is so good. The wings, fried rice, and pad see ew noodles are all so good.
SO FREAKIN TASTYYYYY. I got the Lao papaya salad (not super sure on the difference between the Lao & Thai style is) & the combo pad see ew & a Thai iced tea. It all came out to about $35. It sounds pricy, but the portions are pretty big & I have more than half of the salad & pad see ew left. So I'm deff getting at least 2 meals out of it. I got the 3/5 spice level for both & I felt like i could've handled the 5 easily. It truly wasn't that spicy. But what it lacked in hotness, it made it up for in flavor. Ugh. I love this place now & deff coming back!
Also the 2 ladies that helped us were SO kind, helpful & welcoming. Obsessed w them!! Such sweet ladies 🫶🏽
Becoming my go to for quick, counter serve Thai.
Tons of places in Irving/Las Colinas for this cuisine but I find they’re mostly full service. This spot is nice when I’m eating solo and need to get in and out.
Drunken Noodles are hot and fresh, and the service is friendly.
I understand this is street food, but to have the rice served wrapped on a plastic bag was too much! It was hard and dry, almost inedible. The beef that came with the vegetable plate was tough and dry, impossible to chew, much less swallow. Very disappointed. 😔
Best Loatian food ever!
I was ecstatic when I found they were starting a location close to home. I had the chicken soup at the Plano location and was hooked. We get it on a cold light or when we’re feeling under the weather and it hits the spot. The takeout soup is still piping hot when we get home! Their Pad Thai is so flavorful. You can’t go wrong with really anything on this menu. The best Thai/Lao hands down in DFW.
the food was so tasty and delicious 🥂❤️ the customer service was amazing and so sweet they take care soo good soon we will be back 😍
I am extremely disappointed with this place. They are not consistent and do not care about their returning customers. My boyfriend and I have ordered Pad Thai with beef 3 times now in the last two weeks because we loved it!! The First time we both got level 3 spice and it was great, but my boyfriend wanted it more spicy, so the next time we ordered, he got level 4 spice and I stuck with level 3. Both were great again, but I ended up liking his more, so last night we ordered pick up again, and this time both got level 4. We got home to eat and after the first bite our eyes were watering. It was so unbelievably spicy, not at all like before when we first had it. It was not edible and we were not able to eat it, so today I came back to order another 2, because we genuinely like this place and wanted it for dinner. I brought the two pad Thai from last night that were completely full because we both took 1 bite, and told them I hate to complain and we love this place, but this wasn’t edible nor the same taste as the first time we had it. I told them to try it and they didn’t.(I honestly would have liked to see them be able to eat it, bc I doubt they could) They did not care, and instead argued with me that level 4 is spicy and all of the level 4s taste the same, which is false because we had already had it before. Only reimbursed me for 1 and I had to pay for the other. I was honestly shocked. I’ve been in the service industry for 12 years and when someone orders a $68 ribeye and it gets sent back, they send out a new one and don’t charge the customer again.
This was the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered, and sadly we will not be back.
The food is soo delicious …the taste remains the same every time when we order and it’s not just their efforts.. they make everything with lovee❤️ the best thai food I have ever tried if you just want to make yummy yummy happy tummy 😍 must try this place.just Feel the eraa of being in Lao or Thailand by being in this place….💃💃👯
The food was delicious. The chicken was well cooked but not too dry. The flavor of the Tom Yum soup was very savory and I highly recommend it. They also had a version with coconut that sounds amazing. I get Tom Yum at a lot of places and this was one of the best. The service was quick and friendly. The prices were very reasonable.
ZAAP is our favorite Thai place in Fort Worth, and we were so excited to see that Las Colinas now has a ZAAP too! The food is so flavorful. Very convenient location too.
Incredible! Portion size, taste both spectacular 👌
I had the Laotian fried rice with the crab cream cheese rolls and it was extremely good. I had enough for leftovers which tasted even better the next day. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely return.
Best Thai food in Irving!!
Food is great, just as it was in Thailand and Laos. I wish they had more selections. I'll still go there, regardless.
Best Thai food I’ve had in the los colinas area so far. Thank you!
Tom Kha, Laotian fried rice and spring rolls were all delicious. Staff couldn't be more sweet and helpful. Clean and cute place. We will be back for sure!
Taste as Thai original very delicious 👍👍👍
The food is delicious and highly addictive.
Excellent food with great tastes and staff that is very personable and polite . Will definitely go back.
Hands down the best red curry I've ever had. Staff was friendly and our food came out quickly.
It’s a very pleasant restaurant and the food is excellent. Will be returning very soon
Had an excellent lunch in Las Colinas. The staff is very friendly and the food was delicious. Try out the Pad Kee Mao
Went for the first time today and it was delicious! Definitely will become our new go to Lao & Thai restaurant
Pleasant atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The food was exceptionally amazing. Will definitely dine again. 5 stars plus to this establishment!
When you first walk in, you’ll notice how clean, vibrant, and artistic ZAAP is. The menu is well rounded with great options for drinks and desserts to go with your meal.
The laab chicken, Laotian fried rice, and Tom kha, heavenly beef jerky, and pad Thai were all fantastic. So glad Irving now has a Lao restaurant!
Clean restaurant with friendly service. The food comes out hot and fresh. The coconut juice is a must have.
I can’t believe I’m now less than 1 mile from Zaap kitchen jeo som sauce 😂 our favorite Thai restaurant we no longer have to drive 30 minutes to closest one!!
Enjoyed lunch today at the newly opened ZAAP Kitchen Lao & Thai Street Eats on N MacArthur near Royal.
The staff was friendly and helpful. We tried the yellow curry with chicken, the pork riblets, and the crispy chicken wings. The crunch of the wings was unique and very tasty. Slightly sweet. The yellow curry was the most delicious I’ve had. The perfect comfort food on a rainy day. Check them out!

Congrats on the new location ZAAP. 👏
Tried the Curry Fried rice with chicken, added basil, level 4 spicy. Super yummy! Customer service was great as well.... friendly and fast. A must try spot if you're in the area.
Wonderful. Fresh and delicious. I wish I would have thought to take pictures, but I had some crispy Crab Cream Cheese Rolls, a Thai Tea, and some Pad Kee Mao | Drunken Noodles - with the spice level set at 4 out of 5. Seriously, if you get the chance, give it a try. I'll be back.
Zaap Zaap! I’m not ashamed to admit eating here two days in a row. The combo is a great way to have the perfect Thai/Lao meal. My favorites are the garlic riblets and the chicken wings, extra sticky rice, and medium Lao-style som thom. Add some jeow dipping sauce and it’s heaven!
I used to work next door to the Dallas location and have been missing Zaap. Happy to have this so close to home and with the flavors I grew up with. Vi was very friendly and nice, really look forward to frequenting here.
