I'm confused by all the stellar reviews of the food, granted we only had 1 dish. We ordered the "Pad Peanut Sauce" entree, which contained string beans and carrots. The vegetables were very obviously previously frozen. If I'm paying for someone to make me food I'd expect it all to be fresh, otherwise I'd just microwave my own bag of frozen veggies at home. The rice and sauce tasted good, chicken was a bit chewy. Wouldn't order food from here again.

The service is slow be prepared to wait. It seems they do both online and to go food orders. I think the food makes up for the delay but if you don’t like to wait this place is not for you. I really like the cup my lemonade came in it’s dope. I ordered the crispy vegetable egg rolls for appetizer. They were very good. Just like the name said nice and crispy. The sauce they serve with it is delicious as well. For entree I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu. I loved it. Great flavor and I really liked the chopped peanuts it makes you get a better peanut distribution.
Overall I think I will come back but maybe try a to go order.

I don’t care where you are in Austin, this is the best place to get Thai food. I’ve been to several other places through Austin and through the state and this is by far my favorite. The food is amazing, the staff is SO KIND, and the atmosphere is delightful. It’s not over the top, it’s not overwhelming, but it’s not divey either. I come here all the time and they know my face and my order.

Thai Taste is an authentic Thai restaurant in Southwest Austin. Don't let the 290 construction keep you away, this is worth a lunch visit. I’ve enjoyed the Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao wide noodles with beef. Lunch came with a small soup (or salad) and I always have more for leftovers.

AMAZING thai food!! We will definitely be back! it was all delicious and reasonably priced. It was also beautifully plated and the service was wonderful. Very clean bathrooms and cute restaurant. We brought kids and they were very kid friendly. We payed about $50 for 3 entrées and a dessert which fed al 3 of us and we took probably a third of it home because there was so much.

The crispy duck has to be the absolute best duck dish I’ve ever had! Generally I love Thai restaurants but Thai Taste is the only one that nailed it with their duck!! I live in Houston and always make it a point to get my dinner here whenever I’m in town!

I went here for my birthday lunch. I was very excited to have some good Thai food. I ordered some new entrees. I also ordered a green curry with tofu , which is my comfort food. The service was not so wonderful. The lady would just drop off the food to our table quickly, no interaction. In fact, she left before she allowed us to say if we needed anything else. I asked for some Sriracha and again, she’d drop it off and did not ask if we needed anything else. Mind you, we were the only table there. When I went for a bite of my green curry, it was very watery in consistency. As a Thai food lover, I knew something was off so I requested to have it redone if possible. The server started to get defensive, “yeah..that’s how it is (speaking to the thin, water-like consistency of the curry)….” I was firm and she just took it away, with no signs of empathy. She came back and just dropped off the redone curry.. and somehow…it had more spice in it, my mouth was burning.

Overall, worst customer service and the food was not worth it. I’m sad that my birthday lunch was not a good experience.

Worst pad Thai I've ever had! The other dish ( think flat noodle) was ok. Also, they messed up the delivery order - got Chicken instead of pork! Sticky rice was good.

I usually order from here on doordash but decided to go in today. Absolutely adorable decor, very quiet, and the food was delicious. I didn’t realize that they closed at 3 so I came in at around 2:30 and they were very quick, super friendly, and I was out of there as soon as they closed happy as a clam. :) Definitely some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! Will be coming back hopefully soon!!

This is our go-to delivery spot when we can’t think of anything else, but it is also some of our favorite food in all of Austin. Everything is always fresh and made with care. They don’t seem to use fish sauce (I’ve never developed a taste for it), so that’s just something to consider. My family from out of town also loves this place.

Today was my first time buying from here after living in the area for quite a while. I got the pork steamed dumplings and the beef pad thai and this was hands down one of the best Thai places I've gone to! If I could rate this 10 times I would! Ordered thru the Uber Eats app. All of our items were 5-Star fire. The Tom Yum Soup was so good if I could call the owner’s mother I would and tell her how good of a job they did.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place running errands today and are so glad we stopped in! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food was DELICIOUS, and even the plating and presentation of the food was top notch. We will definitely be back when in the area again.

Im really picky w any type of food, but this place its amazing food was excellent even my 6th year old daughter enjoyed her thai meatballs she was happy she almost finished everything she keep saying it was amazing. 100% recommended.

Edible, but very basic. I had the Pad Thai. The noodles seemed more like wheat angel hair pasta, than rice noodles. The flavoring tasted like store-bought bullion cubes. The pork was scant and pale. I love they are available on DoorDash, and will probably order again, but in the meantime, I'll be looking for another Thai restaurant near me.

I only do this if a place is really bad or really good. This is the latter. Light and airy decor and atmosphere, Thai radio playing, great servers, and then the best Pad Thai I've had. This place is honestly such a joke. I think they make up the prices and hours as they go. I called tonight at 9:21 pm to place an order for pick up since I live less than 5 minutes away and they close at 10. They didn't answer so I called again and got this:

TT: Thai Taste! We close already!

Me: But you're open until 10?

TT: No, Saturday we close 9:30. We been doing this way for over 2 year!

Me: Okay, it's 9:22.

TT: No, 9:30.

Me: Right, I'm saying it's 9:22 and you answered the phone saying you were already closed.

TT: Last call for food 9:15.

Me: Okay, well your website says you close at 10 today, so maybe you should update it if you've been closing at 9:30 on Saturdays for over 2 years.

TT: Website sometime not update.

Me: You updated your website with Thanksgiving specials in November, so...that's less than 2 years ago. And you can update your Google hours immediately.

TT: Okay miss! Close 9:30 Saturday for 2 year!

Food is on and off. Green curry only has two piece of chicken.. the lady behind the desk stare at you when you pick up the food like she is watching a thief. When you say thank you she donot speak like she has some attitude. Are you kidding??

Ordered 2 tomyum soups, 1 drunken noodles and 1 fried rice..all were extremely salty.
Not sure how we could even consume it..

Went here on a whim, and so impressed we decided to order takeout the next night! We had fresh spring rolls to start, which were excellent, and split a curry, which had more veggies and meat in it than most places. The restaurant was also impeccably clean and service was great. We were a little hesitant based on the location and being in a strip center, but it truly is a hidden find!

Cheap , Cheap Thai food not authentic tasting ,what so ever. Definitely some H-E-B flavor Thai .

This has hands down been my wife and I's favorite Thai food joint in all of South Austin. Extremely clean and tidy dining area (with great decorations that are often changed) and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We eat here nearly weekly and haven't tired of it yet!

My family has been eating here for 10+ years and it’s our go-to Thai restaurant. If you’re looking for some amazing Thai food In town, this is a place you should totally check out. They have great options and I love them all!

Tried pickup and they had it arranged based on platform we ordered. Tried house, basil fried rice and red curry. Felt flavors can be little more in basil fried rice. Quantity was little less compared to other thai restaurants but overall a decent one.

The pad see ew was good but the masaman curry was watery and the vegetables were disgusting like it had been cooked days prior and reheated.

I tried this place for the first time and I got to go. I got the beef pad Thai, which was tasty and the mango sticky rice. The downfall for the amazing food was the dessert and the packaging. The mango sticky rice’s coconut sweet milk spilled all over my car because it wasn’t packed properly and it spilled. Secondly, the mango sticky rice felt more salty than sweet which was a disappointment. I really wanted to like this place but it just didn’t meet my expectations. Pad Thai was tasty, mango sticky rice was not so tasty. The packaging was not best and it resulted in spillage. Hope they can fix these problems

I would definitely recommend this place for takeout or dine-in. Compared to Sap's down the road, this tasted much better, but I think you get a little bit more for your money over there... If I had any complaint, and this is nit-picking I would say their prices are a bit high. Overall a great place to eat!

We ordered 4 items, and except chicken wings none of them met our expectations. The food was bland and was nowhere near in taste and worth to their competitors in the area. Coconut curry just tasted like plain turmeric water. Inspite of paying extra, My entire order just had 4 pieces of shrimp.

Great Thai place which you wouldn't expect so far away from downtown! They've renovated the interior and it has a very welcoming ambiance. We've had fantastic experiences dining in, taking out, and with delivery. It's our staple!

The staff is so nice and friendly and always offer good suggestions if you'd like to try something new. At lunch you can also get a soup or salad and their soups are to die for, especially their coconut chicken soup.

Walked in the door a full 25 minutes before they closed and they wouldn't even seat me. Only would make something to go. And I live a full 45 minutes away. The manager was even pretty rude about it.
