Established in 2002.
Established in 2002 Jenni opened the first Jenni's Noodle House in 2002 on the east side of downtown Houston, in the old Chinatown area. The dishes available at Jenni's are the favorites her late mother
A very cute and quaint family owned restaurant. It was opened during the snow storm and served us some nice warm food! I got the Thai tea, curry, and disco dumplings and it was to die for! I have never been here before until today - but I will definitely come back! The hospitality and warmth that is felt from the family was unbeatable.
I ordered this through Uber Eats, but other than that, how it arrived is terrible, the presentation is very salty and the chicken has a terrible texture, it doesn't smell appetizing, I ordered it because I'm sick and what's not better than soup? But this soup is terrible. I don't recommend it.
I was impressed with the service I got when I visited this place. The lady in charge was so kind and helpful, tried to make us feel so welcomed and taken care of. She was smiling all the time which I loved. Food was ok, we had Pho and curry dishes, but because of how good this lady made us feel we will definetely go back to this place. The place was nice, not that big but cozy.
Jenni’s Noodle House is such a gem for anyone with dietary restrictions! As someone with celiac and eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), finding safe and delicious Asian cuisine can be a challenge, but Jenni’s makes it so easy. They offer gluten-free options, and the staff is super knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to allergies.
The food is always fresh, flavorful, and comforting—I never feel like I’m missing out! If you’re gluten-free or have food sensitivities, I highly recommend checking them out. You can also follow my journey navigating gluten-free life with EoE over at @glutenfreewitheoe on Instagram for more great finds!
This place is exactly what I look for in a small food shop. Excellent service and every single base covered. Food was great even as takeout. I suggest trying the mini egg rolls with pork!
My recent visit to Jenni's Noodle House left me with mixed feelings. The restaurant is decent, but there are a few areas that could use some improvement.
Firstly, their menu prices need to be updated online to avoid any surprises for customers. It's important to have accurate pricing information.
I also noticed that some of the young cashiers could benefit from better training to ensure a smoother and more efficient customer experience.
As for the food, it was okay but didn't quite live up to my expectations. It's possible that there's room for improvement in the quality and flavor of the dishes.
In summary, Jenni's Noodle House has potential, but there are some areas that require attention, including menu pricing and staff training. While the food was decent, there's room for improvement to make it a more memorable dining experience.
I don’t usually write bad reviews, but sorry, this place not deserves 4stars. Ordered their signature dish. Chicken was dry and tough like rock. Curry pack from Asian store could do better than this curry. I don’t know why people recommend this place. Maybe just a bad day for me when chef not in mood cooking.
They charge more than $2 for to-go orders. What the actual f… if I knew this in advance, I wouldn’t have ordered. Your prices are already way too high for what you get.
Also the portions are small when they are to-go. Very disappointed. Eat in or stay away from ordering to-go.
Cute little place with basic asian staples— pho, wonton soup, ramen, vermicelli, curry, etc. Really friendly service as well.

10/10 will eat here again! Love the people working, they made the experience!

La atención al cliente pésima llegue a retirar un servicio de comida, le pedí el favor de prestar el baño y me negaron el servicio porq era para los clientes y que soy yoo ahhy estaba comprando igual para llevar
Good, but a bit pricey for what you get

Excellent quality ingredients are selected for cooking chicken Pho stew, spring rolls, and lemonade.
It was salty and chicken and was meager. Tasted like those instant noodles cups then pho. I paid $70 for the equivalent of the fast food version for pho.
We’re huge fans! We love all Jenny’s noodle House locations. If you have not given them a try suggest that you do!
Food was delicious, Thomas provided excellent service!
Lemongrass Beef level 3 with 2 egg rolls is so effing good!!! So freaking good 👍🏽
the price is all wrong. the actual price is $3-4 extra from the price written online. taste is okay not great.
Very friendly and efficient! Clean facility and awesome music!
It has gotten EXPENSIVE. I got charged for substitutions ridiculous fees... $3 for chicken instead of tofu, $4 for soba noodles... $101 for 4 meals to go.. $101 for noodles for 4 people!???
This place is 40% more expensive than a couple of years ago ..
Ordered three items . Wonton soup flavor was not great. Egg rolls were not good and the dumpling were super bland. Overall the food was edible but I’m definitely disappointed and will not order here again.
Noodles:yum
Jessica:errrmmmm
Crusty musty test:passed!
So basically, I had to go to Walgreens to get some repellent for my feet fungus and the waiter that served me at Walgreens recommended that I go to Jessica‘s noodle house and so because I thought it would be slimy the noodles which would contrast with the feet fungus, dry feet fungus And I went to the noodle place and all the noodles were slippery and slimy and they were very watery and yummy. The end.
I ordered crispy fried tofu and Art Car Curry (veggies in coconut curry). Both were awful. For the price, Jenni's needs to use better quality oil to deep fry. The oil was stale and most likely cause harm. Leaves a terrible after taste in the mouth. There were hardly any veggies in the curry, only overcooked potatoes and 2-3 pieces of horribly overcooked carrots. Also no fresh flavor at all. Huge waste of money and possibly not healthy for me either. Super fast service but thats because they possibly pre cook everything and keep under heat lamp? Never going there again.
Worse place ever. Takes forever for food to come out. And definitely not worth it. Way better noodles in Houston just down the street.
As good as ever!!!! Been a customer since their original location in EaDo and will continue until I can't.
Any choice on the menu is a GREAT choice!
Simple joint with solid vegan dishes. Mostly quite healthy.
It's a drop in standards from pre-pandemic days. The prices have gone way up, but portion size has gone down. Also the food is not tasty as before. Unlikely to revisit anytime soon.
Food was fresh, delicious, and healthy. Service was top notch, food came out quickly. Staff was extremely friendly and conversational and made you feel right at home. 5 stars!
Delicious food friendly staff!

Hadn't been here for quite a while, can't explain why, but we had a totally delicious meal and I'm going back soon.
On my favorite is the angry udon or the TNG. Both are super flavorful and zesty and fun. The staff is great too!
Great service and more varied menu than other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. The Ginger soup I tried was very tasty, and I loved the tofu in the Stir me Crazy (I had never eaten tofu before)
The server was extremely friendly and chitchatted a bit with me and my family. I just wish this place was closer to where I live hahaha

Very expensive taste less food

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at your establishment today for a late lunch, and I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for the outstanding experience we had.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by your staff. Scott, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcomed and comfortable. His attentiveness and genuine kindness added a personal touch to our visit that we truly appreciated.
Now, let me talk about the food – it was nothing short of spectacular. We ordered the chicken curry, the beef ramen, and the Vietnamese egg rolls. Each dish was bussin with flavors, and the quality of ingredients was evident.
What truly set our visit apart, though, was the exceptional service. Scott took the time to chat with us, share insights about the menu, and make recommendations based on our preferences. His dedication to ensuring that we had a memorable meal experience did not go unnoticed, and it made our visit all the more enjoyable.
We believe that great service deserves recognition, and we couldn't be happier with our time at Jenni's Noodle House today. It's clear that you and your team take pride in what you do, and it shines through in every aspect of the dining experience.
Thank you once again for a wonderful meal and memorable afternoon. We look forward to returning soon and will be sure to recommend Jenni’s Noodle House to our friends and family.
First and last time eating from this place! The food is not worth the price! When picked up my order We asked the girl if our extra side items that we paid for were in the bag she said Yes and Yes but of course I should have checked! I ordered the Wide rice noodles and they were dry and breaking I was not able to use my fork to eat overall overpriced food and not worth it! DO NOT TRY IT AT ALL!
OK, I am not a cheap person, I promise ! A friend and I stopped by for dinner. Ordered the salt and pepper shrimp, my friend had another shrimp dish - 2 waters ( smart water) $63 & left a $15 tip
5 shrimp on each dish.
Maybe it was an off night.
We were the last customers of the night.
The pho here is always good. The broth is some of the best Ive tasted. The service is equally great. The atmosphere is real bright and fun and surprisingly spacious. They offer cool little unique items for sale like anime related items and what appeared to be some handcrafted stuff. If you love pho, what the pho'k you waiting for? 🤣 Hit this place up right quick.
I got the tofu curry and my bf got beef and vermicelli. We loved our food and the staff were super nice. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it imo.
Been going here forever! Staff is super friendly, food is amazing. My favorite restaurant.
Food is really good and the service is really nice 👍
I loved Jenni's Noodles when it was originally on Jefferson Street, however, the quality of the food,as well as the inflated prices for the portions is not going to cut it. Today, I ordered lemongrass tofu vermicelli for lunch on UE, and the noodle portion was extremely small(less than the palm of my hand), which left me very unsatisfied and quite hungry. I understand inflation, but please what is the cost of vermicelli noodles? The price was $18, for something that I could get a full portion for at Pho Saigon under $10.
Needless to say, I will not be a patron any longer. after all of these years. Do better.
A very friendly environment. The waiter was nice and polite. I ate some Vermicelli with Beef. Which was very good. I will definitely will go back. Give them a visit. ☺
food was meh
I had the Shrimply curry with udon noodles. I found the noodles to be overcooked. The prices per dish are higher than what they used to be. Not sure if I will go back any time soon. The staff are very nice though.
Subpar food, we won't be going back again
Fun spot
Yes to Jenny’s! I briefly met the owner awhile back at an event at Post. When arriving to Jenny’s Noodles it did not dawn on me who Jenny was until I saw her picture inside the restaurant. Small world. I ordered egg rolls and won ton soup. Both were delivered to my table by a very sweet and gorgeous young lady. Service was good and food was delicious. Great proportions, tasted fresh and I left completely satisfied. I love soup especially when I’m not feeling my best so I will definitely be back and highly recommend. Thanks Jenny’s!
They do not overshadow your dish with a lot of starch to take place of your choice of protein. They use the perfect amount of rice or noodles per dish. So your protein choice is not overwhelmed by more starch . They listen to the customers and if it's not right they will make it right. Perfect Shrimp & Beef fried rice. Very tasty well seasoned. The staff are all super nice and approachable. Try more than one dish before you give this place a negative review. They have a large menu and nobody is perfect. The only issue I have is their hours and parking. But the food and service is awesome!
$50 order on DD for chicken noodle soup and inferno curry. The soup was colored water with shredded bland chicken and some greens. Tasteless. Just a $18 bowl of colored water. I have had their inferno curry before, but this was a let down. One star because it at least had flavor. A lot of potatoes and very little chicken though. Again, for $50, I expected way better. I could've ordered some steak from across the street and had more value for my money.
it was alright. i got the lemongrass beef, and didn’t find it flavorful nor filling. my coworker got some pho and came to the same conclusion. i personally wouldn’t recommend nor return
Old restaurant with poor parking, lots of good menu choices.
Love this place !! Everyone likes it when I take them. No complaints. V good limeonade
Very rude staff - overpriced Af - super skimpy portions - unsatisfactory food
Fun, hip and delicious! Vietnamese coffee will put som pep in your step!
We had the spring rolls, crispy dumplings, chicken curry, and stir me crazy. The crispy dumplings are amazing, and the curry was good too. The stir me crazy was not very good. In both entrees the chicken seemed to be a bit over cooked somehow.
The Tofu was rotten, drinks watered down, tap tasted disgusting, soup was flawed and watered down. I would never reccomend this place to anyone. It was a terrible experience. Go to a real authentic place instead.
Amazing small restaurant that deserves an opportunity for you to keep visiting! Tomás was super courteous and took the time to explain all their food and drink options. The food was delicious.
Exelente comida ....
Took my mom to lunch here. The staff was really friendly and the food was legit! Will return soon!
The worst pho I’ve had in Houston in 28 years and one of the most costly at $13 per bowl plus tax and tip. Pho arrived with bean sprouts and jalapeños on side but no basil nor other greens. A big miss. Beef was super chewy and almost impossible to chew to I had to spit out the few bits I tried. Broth was SUPER salty and lacked the depth of flavor of a properly prepared pho. Despite jonesing for pho on this day, I ate about 25% of it and left the rest then went to another restaurant to get something better to finish my lunch. In a city like Houston, there are 100’s of better options for pho so no need to go here. I definitely won’t go back!
Lunch was delicious. Freshly made hot food. We ordered the Miso Ramen and the U-Don Know me noodles. Miso was full of noodles, mushrooms, and tofu. The noodles were sweet because of the peanut sauce and a bit spicy, plenty of chicken added as well. The portions are more than enough, we took some to go.
Our server was super attentive!!! He answered all our questions, offered modifications, and gave us our space to see the menu.
We will definitely be coming back!
The pho here is SO good! I have celiac and can’t always eat pho, but it can be made gluten free here if you ask (along with other menu items). I’ve never had any problems after eating here and it’s always delicious!
The guy who holds it down Monday nights is the best. Such a good chill vibe, and his recommendations are great: udon know me, angry udon
good food, excellent service, i love the signs and stickers ❤️ and ease of menu/ paying
Tasted & smelled like old socks. I got both the udon chicken & thick egg noodle dishes. Not returning.
Kind of noodle grocery small store mostly to go with some tables for dining in.
Be Sure To Try The Disco Dumplings And Lotus Energy Drink😋
Ordered the "u don know me" chicken. Tasted bland with little seasoning on the chicken. I ordered takeout and received a small portion for the price of the meal. I also tried the blue raspberry Boba tea and was extremely disappointed in the horrible flavor. It tasted like watered down tea with a splash of blue food coloring in it. Some of The tapioca was hard and not easy to chew. Super disappointed as I've tried other items on the menu I've enjoyed. Maybe it was just an off day so I'm giving them 3 stars.
Amazing service. I went for the first time yesterday and had an amazing lunch. I even ordered a to go for my husband and he absolutely loved the large Japanese noodles with chicken. I totally forgot to take pictures. But, Jenni's is a great place to eat. The food was delicious and fresh.
I absolutely love jennis & have been coming here for 10+ years, but I wish the portion size would remain consistent. I order the same thing every single time - salt and pepper tofu vermicelli bowl. 8/10 times it is amazing, but every now and then I feel like I get a half serving size.
I also never order out for this reason, the serving size is much smaller when ordering take out. I come in the store to eat so I get an amazing meal (usually). Would love it if Jennis management worked on this, as it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Houston!
Super friendly staff and good food
I'm sorry but my meal tasted like dishwater in a bowl with soggy noodles... so bad.... My partner got the curry and they gave him so little it was like a snack. Overpriced. Bad parking. Don't recommend.
Ordered chicken curry and the stir me crazy chicken. Was very disappointed with how bland and overcooked and dry the chicken curry was. The stir me crazy noodles were also flavorless and had to add sriracha and chili oil to make it passable. Better off going to another place with more flavor.
Love that you can choose your spice level, everything is super fresh, and the staff are so warm and kind. Jenni’s is such a great spot.
Best Vietnamese food in town!
Love this place, great food consistent and the staff is very friendly and kind. I used to visit their post oaks location and have been to their Shepard location now...same food quality and service. Try their tres leches cake it's great.
My 1st pho experience and it was wonderful.
Small place. Delicious food. I enjoyed every bite of it. The portions are quite big so one plate can get you full and satisfied quickly.
It's simply amazing! 😍
Always a great meal! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of everything on the menu.
Food was delicious, clean restaurant, and the employee that took our order and helped us was lovely and friendly and patient! My daughter says their Boba is great and we loved everything about our visit!
Good phô. You can order it and get your take out. Parking is tight however worth the push.
Great food at reasonable prices. The limeade is worth a visit by itself. Try it, and you'll like it.
vegan food was pretty good, customer service was excellent. i dont know their name but the dude that took my order the evening of Friday, July 30th was the sweetest person and super helpful. thanks!
My partner and I stopped here for a later dinner (thank gosh for restaurants with late night hours)! Jenni's Noodle House was extremely nice and customer oriented! The food was a bit overpriced for Asian food that I'm used to. They were fast at greeting, seating, and getting our food out! The pho was good but I do wish I had more sauces to add! My partner really enjoyed the lemongrass beef vermicelli salad! If I'm in the area again, I'd probably stop by again!
Food was ok, but way overpriced. A small/med bowl of pho, with a couple of pieces of beef for $12, and none of the usual fixings (basil, bean sprouts) ! Udon was served in plasticky bowl.
Tons of better & less-expensive options out there..
Deliciousness is all I can say!!! Excellent service and great food.
Loved it fast and friendly
Bland, inconsistent, overpriced and careless. Really a disappointing experience from start to finish. I tried three "highlights": chicken curry (flavorless and overcooked), pork dumplings (doughy, with about 1/2 oz of filling), and fried rice (never delivered). I really wanted to like this place but wow. Just awful.
My ginger tofu was fantastic and the service was fabulous! The man at the register checked up on us consistently and ensured we had a good experience- and we did! I will be back soon.
Love this place ❤ great food great service
My first time at this location and my first time getting the Inferno curry chicken and Vietnamese egg rolls. The dish is not as spicy as it sounds and I liked it but didn't like it. I ate it with the spring rolls because it was kinda bland but not, you know? I still ate it. The rolls were over cooked but still good. I may try something else from their menu again.
Ordered from door dash ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE NEVER AGAIN
En sentido general me gusto mucho.
Me gusto el minimalismo del restaurante, me agrado ver fotografías en blanco y negro en las paredes.
Baños aseados
La Chica de enfrente pudiera ser un poco más agradable y la chicken pho estaba muy rica.
THIS IS THE BEST NOODLE HOUSE IVE FOUND IN HOUSTON SO FAR‼️‼️❤️❤️❤️
Ughhhh so annoying. Called , no answer. Place says it's open till 12. I arrive and it's CLOSED . UPDATE YOUR HOURS !!!!!
Didnt understand what I wanted despite explaining multple times very clearly and overcharged me for what I got. Iv said many times in the past that I would stop going but this is sincerely the last time. Incredibly irritating.
Delicious food that comes out super fast and many vegan options.
Very lackluster flavor. Very americanized Pho and other viet food. If you want more of an authentic flavor, go to Bellaire and hit up the Asian market really and the stores around it.
The food was amazing and service was swift. A little bit pricey, but still excellent.
Chicken yellow curry? More like watered down curry. Flavor was not on point. Maybe I’ll try again.
Fun funky place in Houston very similar to a noodle place in NYC i used to frequent called Republic Noodle company in union square. Jennis it’s off the hook
Very good!
The food was very good. Overall the restaurant was very clean. We will definitely be back.
Great customer service. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable.
A really good mom and pop restaurant that serves good quality food and bomb customer service!!! Really have to try there vegan curry plate!
Fast service, social distancing respected, tasty food!
The food is good, but pricey for the portion sizes. And while the menu is extensive, it really isn't anything unique to command such high prices. But it is a Houston staple and we like the service so we keep visiting when we're in the area.
The tofu was tasty
A new updated review. In the past they were always good at getting the order right. This most recent time they messed up the entree orders for my kids to go. By the time we got home it was too late. The Udon know me and Stir me crazy were not to the request. The Udon was dry and spicy and the stir me crazy wasn't to my request. So disappointed I spent $65 to not get what I requested.
Terrible place not only is it expensive but unsanitary I found a hair on my egg roll and lint in my soup.
Food is decent but way too expensive. Maybe it's the area. There are better places.
My 2 year old who has been dealing with allergies with all the pollen sneezed once... Once! We were rudely and aggressively kicked out. Will never return
I have been coming here to eat for over 10 years. I love coming here. Cozy environment great tasting food. Love taking friends that visit Houston here!
I had the noodles and it was a bit dry and a little bland.
The reason I come to this location is because this amazing gal Victoria H. is so positive and helpful and patient and funny. So I would definitely advise all to come to this location for pho. She will.make it a good experience. She encouraged me greatly today just small chatting while I waited for my take out! And because of the water issue she even gave me a free Topo Chico!!
I love this place. The music is always great. The staff is really friendly and helpful. And of course the Pho is so good!
The "pho" I have ate there has no flavor to it, really disappointed and definitely not worth the price.
Thier Chicken Curry is amazing and the service is wonderful! I go there whenever I get a chance which almost every day!😍
I've been here b4 but it's been awhile. I enjoyed the noodles and the shrimps on my order. Really good and packs alot of flavor.
Overpriced for what it is. Small portions and the broth used for the pho is not the best. Too many other good choices in the area.
First visit. Casual, bright atmosphere. Staff is friendly and warm. I had the Ginger Chicken... I’ll be back. Parking is horrible just like anywhere in the area.
Good
Customer service is on point, but the food; especially the pho, please improve
I love the Mama Tran! And the service is awesome.
The bomb y’all! Plant based options are great!
Lady working register this evening was very pleasant.
Love it! Definitely will come back! The parking it’s kinda tight
I have vietnamese food on a regular. The broth was so blend. Also overpriced for the amount of protein you get. Not returning here.
Great service, awesome scene but I found the portions to be small for the price. The chicken in the spring rolls was dry and the curry wasn't impressive.
Yummi's Noodle House
I ate lunch here today with a friend of mine, and we were warmly greeted at the door. Delivery of our food and a pitcher of hot green tea was very fast. I ordered the super fried rice with a side egg roll and it was very good – and a large portion - and reasonably priced. About the only drawback is parking and getting out of the place because of the backed up traffic, but you can easily get out by turning right on Alabama. If you’re looking for a quick, good meal, give this one a shot.
My favorite dish is their Infernal Chicken Curry! The curry broth is so delicious and fresh, I sometimes order a cup of the curry broth as as a side when I have a vermicelli salad or Rice dish, it's that irresistible. The potatoes are so yummy, they soak up the curry broth flavor. My other favorite dish is the Super Duper Fried Rice, it is so packed with deliciousness and made to order. I also love how many dishes can be made vegetarian or vegan and that they use fresh tofu. The staff is friendly and helpful. Mossie is very knowledgeable, experienced and patient helping customers with questions. Jenni's is a great place to go with a group of friends who have different eating preference or restrictions because there are multiple gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, chicken, beef and shrimp dishes, including starters.
