The food is really good I try something new almost every time I am there but my favorite is the pineapple fried rice. Not only is it beautifully plated, is tastes amazing!

Was not having a good day and decided to treat myself to lunch. This place was so nice and enjoyable, the food and service was great. The music was relaxing. Was so glad I had lunch here.

Do not be fooled by the "Plain" exterior, walking in the front door is like going through a portal where you are transported into a fine dining atmosphere. I was greeted at the host station by Jayden who was also my server and appears to be a PIC (person in charge) as during my visit I observed him giving directions to some other staff. I was seated at the PERFECT table for me, a corner table, which is what I would have chosen if I had sat myself. Jayden put the menu on the table and informed me he would be back with some water.
As I read thru the menu, he came back with a glass of water as well as a carafe full of icy water and asked me if I would just be having the water or if I would like something else. I ordered my usual Pepsi/Coke, and he went to go get it, giving me ample time to decide on what I wanted. When he returned with my Pepsi he asked if I was ready to order and I was. I ordered the Cucumber salad with house dressing, and The pepper steak that is served with bell peppers, carrots and Jasmine Rice. Jayden asked me how hot/spicy I would like it on a scale 1-10 and initially I said 1, but as he was preparing to walk away, I said, actually, make it a 2 please, so that there is a little spice, he said that was perfect and he could always bring out more spice if i needed it. (The menu also explains this)
When the cucumber salad came out, I was over joyed with the fact that THIS is exactly what I think, when I see Cucumber salad, It was 80% cucumber chunks, with 10% lettuce and 10% shredded carrots. Their house dressing was a sweet clear dressing, and served in an appropriate sized ramekin. The Cucumbers were fresh and delicious, the lettuce crisp and fresh and the dressing just put it over the top. I will ALWAYS get this in the future.
I was the only guest in the restaurant when I ordered and my peppered steak entree came out while I had just a few bites of my salad left. I am SO glad I chose 2 and did NOT go "mid range" with a 5 or something lol. The steak pieces were tender and easy for me (with no teeth) to chew. The peppers were cooked PERFECTLY, still a bit of a crispness to them but also soft enough for me to eat them. The ratio of meat to vegetables could NOT have been better. And the rice was fluffy with no hard grains. I added my rice into the Steak bowl and a couple of bites in, could feel a slightly warm sensation, but not even close to an uncomfortable level. Near the end of my meal, my sinuses were opened and I had a bit of a "sniffle" but still, no discomfort. It was just perfect enough that it also did not force me to suck down sodas at an alarming rate. Actually, I never asked Jayden for a refill, as I was too busy enjoying the dish to drink lol, and if you know me, you know I"m typically a 3-5 drink guy at a restaurant lol.
When I finished my entree, I returned to my salad and glass of water. Jayden's service was PERFECT, he did not hover, but was never far, and he checked on me after I had a few bites. We engaged in some light banter and I told him I was glad I had went with a "2" and with a twinkle in his eyes as if he was 50 years older than the young man he was, he said "I knew a 2 was perfect for you"
The prices are much less than I expected for the elegance the restaurant provides. All the dishes were served in white ceramic dishware, including the dressing. Clean black cloth tablecloths adorned each table with gold paper placemats. The decor was just enough to remind you that you were eating Asian food, but not so much as for you to think you were at a China buffet. Jayden was professional and efficient. All employees I witnessed were clean and well groomed. Prices are in the $10 - $12 a plate range. With plenty of appetizer and entree options without it being TOO many. They also have a kids menu and bubble tea options, including a banana one that I was going to try, but I'll save that for my next trip :)

Today we ordered take-out due to my husband getting over the flu. I get our order all the way home and everything looks okay until I open my dish. It was definitely not what I had ordered so, I double checked my order and tried to call the restaurant multiple times to get it figured out but, I couldn't get anyone on the phone so I finally left a voicemail. I decided to at least try what I was given and there was absolutely no flavor and no spice (I asked for a 4). My husband also said his food (which was correct) was bland and flavorless, also with no spice (he ordered a 2). It saddens me that we spent so much money for food that has always been excellent, to get what basically tasted like chicken broth. We will be taking a break from this place as much as we used to love it. I, also, hope that I can get someone on the phone and get this resolved.

I'm from CT and was visiting my best friend who strongly recommended I try it.
It was my first time trying Thai food and I was not disappointed with the chicken sweet and sour so delicious! The Thai tea is amazing and I said I would be back the next time I came for a visit.
Went again for vacation and had to make sure I got to go again. (And the staff remembered me)
This time I had the crazy noodles and cucumber salad - again amazing people and food!
(and of course the Thai ice tea is a must have)
Can't wait to visit again!!

Generally I’m very happy with this location however today I logged into the site and chose a pick up time (that was available). I placed an order for my family and upon reaching the payment screen I received an alert that my time was no longer available and the next option was 2 1/2 hours later. Huh? How?

The service is a little slow. The food is good and the staff is friendly. I love how when you come in, the first thing they ask about is food allergies. The crab ragoon i could eat all day long! They were so delicious!

This was my first time coming to this restaurant. I came by myself. I sat there and watched 3 tables serviced thar arrived after me. It's hard enough to walk into a restaurant by yourself, then to get treated like I'm not there. I guess I don't like Thai food!!!!!!

Quite a hidden gem in Alliance. The food was excellent. We shared the app for two, and it was delicious. It comes with sauces on the side and a small cucumber salad.

I tried the red curry with chicken, and at the suggestion of our waiter, I kept the spice level at a 2 out of 10. It was perfect, with the heat hitting the back of your throat, but as I ate more I probably could have handled a 3 level. Lol I like the heat🔥

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Would be great for date night. Can't wait to go back again soon.

A hidden gem with the best thai food. There's not many places like Bann Thai in the area, so give it a try!

Small cozy place out in the country, lots of farms and fields nearby. It took them several minutes to seat us even though it was half empty. Took them a long time to take our order. Took them a long time to get our beverages, two of us they forgot our drinks entirely. Took them a very long time to make our food. Prices were fair. Portions were a little smaller than I am used to for Thai restaurants. Food came out hot which was good. The meal was very tasty though. Done well. Thai tea had too much cream in it. Overall positive.

This was our first visit and we will definitely be back! The staff was very friendly and even took the time to talk to my three hungry kids, which helped distract them. The food was spectacular!! And the price was excellent for the very good quality food. They were very busy when we arrived, so our food did take a bit longer than expected, but we are still very much pleased with our dinner choice! Jayden (not sure how to spell it) is one of the nicest waiters we have ever encountered. We are looking forward showing our family this little hidden gem!

I'm disappointed because I can't just live here and feed off of curry for the rest of my life. BEST CURRY EVER. Aside from the panang curry being amazing, the Tom Kha was absolutely lovely. My friend got the green curry and it was incredible. I got the spice level at 6 and ended up adding more. But I also love spice! Our server was the only server working, you could tell they were short staffed. But we still felt like he really paid attention to our table and since it was our first time there he explained everything really well and was super helpful. Also everything was really affordable, which you don't see very often anymore. We were pleasantly surprised.

This is my go to restaurant when I'm in the area visiting family. The food is excellent and the service is always friendly! I recommend any of the curries (I generally get heat level 6) and the mango sticky rice for dessert. This place gets busy for a reason and is well worth the wait!

Love this place!!! Please remember places can be short staffed during these times and require patience. Every worker here is so kind and welcoming. Boba tea was so good (strawberry) and when I had questions about the menu, the host answered all of them with honest answered and i ended up making the best choice! Food was phenomenal and i highly recommend this place!!! Will come again.

Ok so I went back today and the food was good (maybe a little dry so ask for extra sauce if you get any noodles) and yet again the crab rangoon was burnt. The service was sooooooo slow. They need either another host/hostess or an actual server because it got really busy and theres only one guy doing everything.

Ok so when they first opened they were amazing! Ordered again just a few days ago and quality went right down the drain 😞 so sad to see this happen because they were amazing! Loved the food good prices but now I probably won't order there again for quite a while.
Ok so update! Went back today 5-17-23 and food was good, service was great. Only down side was the crab Rangoon was burnt. Other than that everything was great

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time and it’s now in our top 3 restaurants! My husband has never had Thai food and doesn’t do a lot of spice so he got the stir fried cashew chicken and loved it the flavor was on point, I love spice and Thai food and my level 8 shrimp pad Thai was amazing! The service couldn’t have been better Jayden was awesome the perfect blend of friendly, informative about the menu, and efficient while not being overbearing. I just can’t say enough good things from the food, bubble tea, and service it’s honestly more then 5 stars. ( we forgot to get pictures of the entree’s because we were so excited to eat lol)

Favorite Thai food in Stark! Dairy free coconut ice cream is UNBELIEVABLE. It’s a must. Server was fun & personable, and also busting his tail hosting and serving! Very accommodating when it comes to food allergies or other dietary concerns. Make a reso on the weekends as they can get busy.

You’d never think that you’d get excellent Thai food at prices from before 2021 inflation, located in the middle of near nowhere in northeast Ohio, but this place was a huge, pleasant surprise. If anyone is near this place when they want great food, this is definitely the place.

Food is usually pretty good . Wait times are usually long , food makes up for it. All of the staff have been really nice except for the older guy who owns the place. Always has to make a remark about my last name. Or tells me i need to be happier. Im usually there to pick up food after work . Just want my food so i can go home. Everyone else is always friendly. He is ignorant everytime.

The place never disappoints, it's good every single time. Flavor and portion size is always very consistent. I would eat it 7 days a week if it were a little closer. The only downside is the building is rather small. Somewhat cramped but everyone eating is usually respectful enough to not be loud and obnoxious. Love the place.

Atmosphere was really clean and food was served from warm and hot in the perfect temp for each and every one of them and all dishes have tons of flavor!

Truly incredible and authentic Thai! I have chosen this place over many others for two reasons 1. They can actually deliver on the heat and 2. Their crazy noodles (drunken noodles) are homemade and not prepackaged noodles.

I would have never guessed I would find a Authentic Thai restaurant on the outskirts of Alliance across from a corn field. We placed a reservation on a Sunday (we told it can get busy). We were given an option of 2 tables in the main dining area. Bann Thai was clean, service was amazing and food was probably the best Thai food I have encountered. The spicy level requested was just right and the food was seasoned impeccably. Our party of 6 enjoyed both vegetarian, seafood and meat based items. Our server kindly asked if anyone had any food allergies before taking the group order and with each person asked if any dietary restrictions (is vegan/vegetarian/gluten free etc) were needed. Loved this! Meals were large, enough to share and prices were super reasonable for the size and quality. When visiting Alliance I will definitely vbe eating here again! Check out Bann Thai you can't go wrong!

Good Thai food, quiet little restaurant outside the busy part of town. Our server was super nice. Meal portions were good and prices were reasonable. We had basil seafood dish and eggplant dish. A small alad with ginger dressing came with our meals.

We stumbled over this hidden gem, a couple of months ago, while in town, visiting family. The dining room is small, comfortable, and pleasant - you don’t have to shout to have a conversation. It’s a nice touch that dinner starts with a light salad of mixed greens with a fresh ginger dressing. Do ask the waiter (this man is a professional) for guidance, if you’re not sure what to order. So far, we’ve had the egg rolls (chicken and vegetarian), shrimp wonton soup (very different than any we’ve had, and very good), Thai Basil Deluxe, Panang Curry, Mussamun Curry, Stir Fried Cashew, Pad Woon Sen, Pad See Ewe, and Pineapple Fried Rice. The food is outstanding - lovingly prepared and beautifully presented. Surely there is something on the menu that isn’t superb, but as of yet we haven’t found it. Service is excellent and the prices are quite reasonable. We’re going to be regulars, whenever we’re in town.

I absolutely love this place, I drive 2 hrs one way every few months for this food! It has never once been lacking, and the service is awesome. Very friendly, calm and comfortable environment. I also love how involved the owner is!

My husband and I just ate here for the first time. We started off with mini egg rolls. They were perfect. The sweet and sour sauce was perfect. Our waiter was very helpful. (since it was my 2nd Thia experience.) I got the Mussamun Curry. I took the waiters recommendation on the spice level. It was perfect. My husband is a foodie. He is very picky when it comes to authentic foods world wide He loved every bite and also ate some of mine. We will be back I want to try dessert. Thank you so much for the excellent experience.

Resteraunt is pretty much in an old house and doesn't give a strong thai vibe, however, coming from a more urban environment I was not expecting the quality of thai to be so good here! I like thai food spicy and they absolutley nailed it here. Everyone was very friendly.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants that I have had the pleasure of visiting. I ordered chicken satay and basil-fried rice, both were insanely delicious. The service was great and it also helped that the atmosphere was super cozy as well.

Went there the first time the other night. Food was incredible. Really a lot of food for the price. The young man serving us was great and very personable and helpful. Only thing that keeps me from giving them five stars was the fact that we waited for the young man 15+ minutes for our check. He was having a personal conversation with some of the other guests. I will say they had been on a month long vacation in Thailand and had a lot of catching up to do with their regulars. Definitely would go back again.

Just had dinner for five. Good food paired with good service. Being that most people aren’t familiar with Thai food, it’s great that the owner will guide you through the menu. Not so crazy about the crazy noodles though.

We had the cashew chicken with coconut icecream for desert.. amazing! The icecream is made in house with coconut milk.. very unique. The prices are great.. more in line with Chinese takeout but a much better quality. This is a 4 star restaurant where you'd least expect it.

The first time eating here food was very good. The older gentleman waiter white hair was a little bit indifferent and had a little attitude when we first got there. Rolling eyes and snippy, offsetting but the food was very good.

Moving to Ohio has been difficult , the hardest is I miss the food & restaurants that I’m used to …. Bann Thai reminds me of the food back home .. absolute perfection

From the moment we walked in (on a busy Friday evening) to the moment we left we were treated like family. The food is awesome and the service was even better! Every interaction was warm with a smile. This little gem of a restaurant will hopefully be around for a long time to come. We’ll certainly be back!

The server was excellent knowledgeable and funny. He was very nice. I met with friends. We all enjoyed our meals. The thin noodles are where it's at.

Had the best dining experience here! Our server, Jaden, and Poy were wonderful to talk with and so friendly. The Thai iced tea, appetizers, pad Thai, and sticky rice were delicious. Can't wait to eat here again!

We have only eaten there twice, but both times were a delight. The service is excellent, as well as the food. The curry portions are generous. It is a little off the beaten path, but well worth driving to. I saw them do a good bit of takeout business while we were there for early dinner.

Great food and service. This is the best Thai food around! It is a small hole in the wall business but those are the best! The main reason I am writing this post is because I want more people to experience the amazing food that they have!!!

Ok, this place has good food. The people who work there and own the place will take their time and explain to you Thai food. They will ask you if you have any food allergies also. It takes a little while to get your order taken and the food to the table, but to their defense, no one wants to work, and that’s just about anywhere. Good help is hard to find these days. So if you want something that isn’t pizza, chicken wings, or burgers, go there and make the best of a relaxing atmosphere. You will enjoy the food. They do work hard to please their customers.

Stopped in just looking for some place to eat. Food was amazing! We like trying new places and we were absolutely blown away by Bann Thai! It is a little ways out of town but it is absolutely worth the drive. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dinning area was very nice and clean. One of the best meals I have had out in a long time!

My husband and I stopped here for dinner. It could not have been more amazing! The owners and their family are wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious! We have our next meals all picked out. We can't wait to go back! Do yourself a favor and stop and eat! You won't be disappointed.

After driving past it for far too long, and hearing good things about it, we finally decided to give this place a try. The results were mixed. Our server was awesome and could not have been more friendly, pleasant or helpful. But despite there only being one other couple in the room when we arrived, our order took a very long time.

Our appetizers (shrimp "cigars") came out promptly and were quite tasty. But although it was obvious that many carryout orders were going out the door, it didn't help our impatience as we sat, with no food, for more than a half hour.

When it finally came, our food was delicious with just the right amount of spicy heat for each of our tastes. My wife had Pad Thai with chicken and thought that the chicken breast in it (and in mine) was too dry for her taste but still ate heartily. I had "Crazy Noodles" (at heat "level 3") with chicken and found it to be very good. Neither of us had much left to take home for lunch the next day.

As I said, we have mixed feelings. Despite the dry chicken breast, our meals were very good and there were other menu items that I'd like to try such as the Bann Thai eggplant, the Red Sea salmon, and if I get adventurous, one of the many curry dishes. I think we'll get food here again, but despite the positive experience of having a great server, we will probably get carryout and skip the dining room.

Everyone we interacted with was incredibly nice! We came here for our marriage anniversary and it was lovely. The Thai level spice is not for the faint of heart! My wife had joked that there’s probably nowhere in Ohio where we could get authentic spice levels and we were delighted to be wrong! Overall the food was all incredible as was the Thai tea and Thai iced coffee. We’ll be back whenever we’re in the area for sure!

Very inexpensive, and beautiful dine in environment. Very hospitable and welcoming server. Love this place. I Will be supporting them often.
