Laid-back Vietnamese operation specializing in pho noodle soups, with options for vegetarians.
Best restaurant in town for Pho, Tofu, & Curry. Ingredients are always flavorful and very fresh. I was disappointed with the service from our waitress the last time we visited, but that has not been a regular occurrence in the past. All and all, this is one of my family’s favorite places to eat.
Known for over a decade by locals as the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area, it has never disappointed. For years my go-to was the savory chicken curry, but this time I tried the Tom Kha Kai soup which was one of the tastiest and well-rounded soups I have ever had. Sweet and spicy with a mix of amazing vegetables. The beef bulgogi and drunken noodle dish on this trip were both perfectly crafted with a taste profile hard to beat. I recommend ordering whatever you get with the soda egg to drink. Also widely spaced seating, very friendly staff, and an atmosphere that really sets the scene.
My daughter loves Pho, so we decided to give Pho Hien Vuong a try while in Greensboro. We went around 4:30pm. It wasn't as busy when we 1st arrived, but the people started piling in shortly after. The food was very delicious and fresh. I had the beef noodle soup (pho), which was served in a large bowl. It also came with a helping of bean sprouts, fresh Thai basil, lime wedges, and jalapeños on the side. I would highly recommend this place to all the pho lovers. The overall experience was great. The only negative was the wait time. It took about 20-30 minutes to receive our food once we placed our order. The meats are cooked to order, so that may have been the reason behind the long wait time.
I asked a few friends where can I go to eat some pho. I have never tried it but I’ve been wanting to for the longest. Everybody recommended this place. And they did not disappoint! It was sooooooo delicious! I’m really thinking about going back tomorrow! The bowl was huge and for only $13. The service was great as well. High recommend 🩷🩷
DELICIOUS Vietnamese food. It's a large resturant but fills up fast. The atmosphere is minimal but cozy. Great customer service. And for a large open resturant, noice didn't carry so it was easy to have conversation with others at my table.
I tried the Drunken Noodles with Shrimp. Very quick service. Veggies were fresh and the flavors were warm and tasty. I can't wait to come back. (it is a little pricey)
I absolutely love the Pho at this spot in Greensboro - hands down the best in my book. They really put an emphasis on using the freshest ingredients and the staff is just fantastic. If you go for lunch, they always have different specials each day, which is great. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the beef and green beans - it's definitely my go-to here. I highly recommend giving it a try. Oh, and if you're into seafood, the Shrimp with mixed vegetables is an amazing lunch special as well!
Always very good food ! Very good service friendly !
We drive from Winston just to eat here. We usually get pho and drunken noodles or garlic chicken to go for later or lunch next day. Everything is so delicious this is one of my favorite restaurants.
Great place with delicious food, nice service and balanced prices
The food is sooooo good!,, the service is excellent 👏🏻
Always the best! Although, because it's the best - its usually crowded, too. Worth the wait though!!

I normally adore this restaurant but, I ordered the chicken vermicelli bowl. The dish was horrible. The noodles were overcooked, the cilantro was parsley, and it was missing the bean sprouts and the chicken taste like wood. The waiters and waitress are usually attentive and friendly but this waitress was harsh, short tempered and neglectful (short -older lady). The check-out counter personnel even seemed overwhelmed as she was running back and forth to the kitchen to handle take out orders and customer check-out. This restaurant normally have great food and awesome prices, all except the saki that has- now managed to shrink to 1 inch thimbles. Maybe more staff and putting back in -ingredients that are on the menu for the meals will be resurrected to prevent losing customers.
Great food, and fast service. It is a place I will continue to return a couple times a month!
Food is fantastic, service is great family restaurant open for over 30 years! Highly recommend this amazing restaurant!

Excellent food. Attentive service.
They ended up swiping our card one, too many times. It's never a good thing to happen when you're out of town. Food was alright. Pho could be better.

Always an excellent choice for a fast and delicious lunch!
Great food, huge portions, and low prices. Be sure not to miss the daily lunch specials
Pho is the best!
Great pho. They don't use much seasoning in the meat like I expect from my experiences with Vietnamese cuisine but every dish was good. The Vietnamese coffee was okay.
Very popular place with the locals. Expect a 5-15 minute wait during dinner hours on weekends.
DELICIOUS Vietnamese food. It's a large resturant but fills up fast. The atmosphere is minimal but cozy. Great customer service. And for a large open resturant, noice didn't carry so it was easy to have conversation with others at my table.

AMAZING FOOD! GET THE CURRY, DO IT!
Several years later edit: Still consistently delicious every single time.
Delicious authentic food. Great service.
We had Beef pho and fresh shrimp roll, with Chicken Broccoli. Everything was delicious 😋.
Good food.
Our whole family loves this place. My brother's family invited us to join them several years ago. We ordered family style and passed the dishes around so everyone could try many different items. They were all amazing. The crispy fish with two sauces is a whole fish lightly fried and is presented beautifully with cucumber and tomato slices. I highly recommend. Beef pad Thai is my absolute favorite. It just hits all the right notes for me. Beef Pho is my husband's favorite, it has great flavor and I kid him, It's big enough to swim in. We all love the Spring rolls, fresh or fried. The Thai Basil wings are big and perfectly cooked. The thai Basil sauce makes it a unique flavor that we didn't know we needed. Their fried rice and noodle dishes are fantastic as well. So many great things make it difficult to decide what to eat. Take a group and share!!!
Phenomenonal food and amazing staff. Easily one of the best restaurants in the area.
Best Thai in the city! the Seafood fried rice is my go to!
I see why this place is busy. Excellent food. Lots of flavor. Ample portions. I usually do take out. I finally ate there. Good service but you definitely go for the food, not the atmosphere.
Chicken salad was great
Tofu street noodles and Thai basil wings
Thai tea
One of my family's favorite Thai food in all of the US. Pad Thai, Shake beef, beef noodle soup, street noodles, fried noodles, all delicious. Try the Thai coffee, too! Keep up the awesome job, Pho Hien Vuong!
Pho, spring rolls, drunken noodles were all great. Lots of vegetarian options. Service was fast and respectful. Wait was slightly long due to rush, and parking was difficult to find in the actual parking lot due to the number of people.
Overall a great place, highly recommend.
Never disappointed. Everything is top notch! Best wings ever! A Greensboro hidden gem!
Best place in town for pho and curry!
I eat here everytime I travel to Greensboro. This restaurant stays busy. Great for take out too! Love their lemongrass chicken.
I've liked this place and visited often for the past five years. However, since two years ago, the quality has gradually worsened, and today, after a long time, what I feared happened. A piece of steel wool came out of the fried shrimp roll, and it seems this restaurant has reached an unacceptable level of cleanness. I came to the restaurant with joy, but now I feel bad and left without finishing my meal. I don't think I'll be coming back. Be careful while you eat any fried rolls. I was very disappointed.
Awesome place!
Food and service consistently good. Vegetarian options available. Popular place so it is often crowded. Parking can be a challenge.
The best Vietnamese food that I have had in my life. Outstanding!
Great food, great service!
Polite staff and really good food!
An excellent Vietnamese restaurant which I have been enjoying since I was a kid! Their spring rolls, both fried and fresh, are amazing! Everything on the menu is delicious, I‘ve never been disappointed!
The food is good, and the menu is extensive, although it doesn’t change often. The prices are affordable, and the service is quick and courteous. However, the environment is quite old and could be cleaner, especially in the areas near the windows and curtains. I avoid using the bathroom since the hygiene leaves something to be desired. Overall, I consider this restaurant as a last resort.
I love going here. It is my favorite and so comfortable and fast. They also have great prices and check in on you but not too much. It is perfect.
food was good, pho is little bland but spring roll crunchy
Absolutely delicious! The vegetarian pho at Pho Hien Vuong in Greensboro is truly a standout. The broth is rich and deeply flavorful, with layers of taste that show real care in preparation. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is top-notch—fresh herbs and perfectly cooked noodles. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into creating an authentic and satisfying dining experience. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you step in. Highly recommend to anyone looking for comforting, authentic Vietnamese cuisine!
Our favorite lunch date spot. I cook pretty regularly but we love this place so much that we gotta have it at least once a month. Their chicken noodle soups is good, nothing too fancy but it gives you a vibe of mom’s cooking when you that craving. Other lunch options are good proportions and tasty as well. Highly recommended!
is this perhaps THE goat of vietnamese food in greensboro? … yes.
the mi xao don (aka crispy noodle combo) with the seafood combo is everything… shrimp, squid, scallops, and vegetables over crispy noodles. i get this every single time because it’s just that delicious.
the inside is nice, nothing too fancy. the restaurant has been around for awhile so it could probably do with some updating. the service is also good, they’re very nice and food comes out very quickly.
definitely recommend it.
Amazing Pho! Any time we are in the area we make a special stop and wait, because it is that good. They are efficient yet kind. Definitely worth a visit.
Food was very dry. I had asked for spicy but didn’t get it. Little sauce given for the amount of I ordered! Was just waste of my money
Short wait, friendly staff, and the interior looked really good. The food was amazing.
Went there for lunch on Sunday. The place was very busy, but they move it along efficiently without being unfriendly. We had to wait maybe fifteen minutes, but to me it was well worth it. I got a charsui(sp?) pork and Chinese broccoli dish. My kid got a pork and vermicelli dish. We also shared some buffalo wings, and I got an iced Vietnamese coffee. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Generous portions. Service was extremely efficient yet welcoming. The place is bright and clean and adds to the friendly atmosphere. I look forward to going back and trying more things!
It is one of the top Thai/Vietnamese foods that we tried in Greensboro. Drunken noodles were very delicious, and they were able to accommodate vegetarian restrictions as well.
Too big to be really good . Pho was not hot enough and I have been looking for crab in the fried rice with crab ...
An amazing place that a friend shared with me. We were greeted at the door and sat immediately. The wait staff was so very helpful in making sure that my dietary restrictions were met. When the food arrived it was hot and looked amazingly. Wonderful flavors! Could not have been more pleased. Everyone was just so nice and accommodating and the prices were perfectly in line. I will certainly be visiting again!
Chicken curry was a 6/10. Prices weren’t too high, spring rolls with shrimp were $2.5. Good service nothing special.
The only place in Greensboro for authentic Vietnamese food!
Very good food and great service as well. This was a pleasent dining experience.
Second time here. Food is great. I love the pho (chicken and seafood/beef were the ones I tried). Wings are very hot and juicy. Sake is great.
Parking can be better (it’s too small). More attention can be used by staff but they are doing their best since it’s busy.
Great food and pho
Good pho , good service, restaurant nice and supper clean.
Good experience! Service was kind and quick. Pho broth was a little too sweet for my liking, and I've had better. But not bad by any means.
A solid place to eat, a must try if you are in Greensboro. Whenever I'm feeling down, this is a great pick me up full of tasty food.
Pho is good. Fried rice, not so much.
Love the food. Good healthy options. Fast service and great price for portions size.
Never had a bad experience and have been there monthly in the past 8 years.
Solid spot. !
Best Vietnamese food in town.
Excellent food. Best pho in Gboro.
Service always fast.
You will usually have to wait to be seated but they turn tables over fast and it's always worth the wait.
Loved it
Amazing food and friendly staff! The beef pho was delicious!
Super delicious grub with great vegetarian/ vegan options!
Good portions and taste great 👍
Hands down the best Asian food. Super service and the place is immaculate. We drive 90 minutes so the food is that good

Good food. Just wish they had the option to make the dishes a little more spicy on request.
The food was not as expected at all very disappointing
Best Vietnamese in the Triad

Best Pho In Town Had the Chicken Pho And Fried Rice
Normally, Vietnamese is among the least impressive ethnic foods that we eat.
This place may have changed that.
We tried about six different things, all of which were solid, and the place stayed packed from before we got there until after we left.
Now we know why.
Best Pho around! So delish!!!
Best pho in GSO. The employees are awesome too!
Great food every time
I went here for my birthday lunch last week. I hadn’t been in quite a while and was just as good as I remembered. I got the chicken pho and it was amazing!
Enjoyed the curry chicken. Quick service. Pleasant staff.
We love the pho options and ginger chicken. Parking can be a bit hectic, it’s popular 😀
Excellent Vietnamese- we had a large group of 8 on a Saturday night around 6 and had a lovely time. Excellent pho, their Vietnamese spring rolls were delicious- great service, never felt rushed. Food came out quick and delicious!
Excelente atención, tienen personal, hablando inglés y español
Fresh food..no preservatives..
If you are looking for great eatout with affordable price for your family, this is the place. This was incredible to see the constant flow of customers on a busy Saturday evening. They even have benches outside for the wait. The vegetables in the pho were fresh and tasty.
Best in the region!!!!!! We get Thai basil wings , Tom yum soup and Tom Kai hai soup , pho , and pad Thai here very consistent!!!!!! Love this place I spend too much money here! Always busy Sonbe prepared to wait for good service.
Food was great, portions were generous, and server was very pleasant
It can get very crowded for lunch so you may not find an immediate spot to park your car. They have an overflow parking lot that is graveled and unlevered so consider that there might be some damage to your vehicle. I prefer to park in the main lot who can be there eight dollar lunch specials? they have the best pho In the area and give generous portions. Friendly service and very attentive.
Pho was amazing and everyone was super helpful even with how busy it was.
Best food in Greensboro! My favorite dishes are the Shrimp Pho and the Shrimp Vermicelli! I also enjoy the shrimp curry and shrimp salad!
Decent experience. First of all, they don't have different pho sizes. You're basically paying $15 for a small. The amount of pho noodles was smaller than my fist and the broth is mediocre. The combination fried rice was $15 and barely had a few pieces of meat.
Very clean, food presentation 10/10 and the taste was even more amazing. Great experience all around.
Busy, busy, busy... but busy for a reason, right? (Parking can be an issue at times.) This fairly nondescript Vietnamese restaurant near the intersection of West Market and Spring Garden has been a nice discovery for us. The quality of their food is excellent and the service is good as well. The menu is pretty extensive. I like the vermicelli noodle bowl offerings, but there are plenty of different things to choose from, including lots of vegetarian items.
The fresh spring rolls and peanut sauce are the best in town!
Since moving to Greensboro from Boston, I find the food is delicious, and the service is friendly and inviting. Whenever, I have visitors, Pho Hien Vuong is one of my favorite go to restaurants.
Absolutely the best!
Best Vietnamese Restaurant in town.
Best Vietnamese in the Triad by far. Get the Drunken Noodles, so good. The Thai Basil wings may be the best wings in Greensboro too...
Food is amazing and service is great
Good food. Busy but don't have to wait.
Hubby & I just had a Pho Hien Vuong weekend date night in Greensboro. Fantastic flavors and lively atmosphere. It’s definitely NOT a best-kept secret… we’re more likely to bump into friends here than any restaurant in town it seems, which just adds to the fun!
We enjoyed a massive bowl (good for sharing) of Tom Kha Kai Soup with beautifully complex flavors of lemongrass, coconut milk and the exotic mushrooms that accompany the chicken. We also split a Red Curry Chicken with brown rice, with that incomparable curry zing that lights up your tastebuds! - Both of these dishes are go-to’s… with plenty “to-go” - for later. Other recommendations on the menu are the Fresh Spring Rolls, any Pho dish and Pad Thai, of course.
YUMMY, as always - I can hardly wait to return, and we haven’t even eaten the leftovers!!!
Best Thai and Vietnamese food in the area. Drunken noodles and chicken wings are always incredible
I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years. Every single time, the food is amazing, the service is great, and the restaurant is generally very clean. The hostess was conscientious about where people will be comfortable, which I appreciate a ton being plus sized. If you're looking for amazingly delicious, authentic, and reasonably prices Vietnamese food, I 10000% recommend!
We have eaten here multiple times and we have never had a bad meal!! The food is amazing and even when they’re packed your food arrives fast, hot and fresh!! You won’t be disappointed eating here!!
