Ambience is superb so warm and cozy. As soon as you enter there is a positive vibe. They serve quality and fresh food. The portion sizes are big so be careful while ordering. Tom kha soup is delicious! Chicken sesame with rice is also good (photo). Sticky rice with egg custard is also good.
They have pleasant staff but the service is slow. I would definitely come again!

Thai Ocha is a Fabulous little cozy place with delicious options. Natalie, our Server, was a doll. She was very kind, attentive, and explained the different foods and recommended a few dishes, which was difficult because everything was delicious. I believe it. The Thai peanut dressing on the salad was an extra treat.

This is the best Thai food I had especially in the Denton area. We are so used to having bad experiences here that we stopped coming to this side of the town. But this place is an exception. We had the Panang curry and pineapple fried rice both with Tofu. Excellent!! Special shout out to our sweet waiter who removed the soup out of our bill last minute after it was all prepped.

The service is bad, they take too long to serve you and the food takes too long, the taste is horrible, they take too long in the kitchen, the wait is a long time, the 2 waitresses who are there forget about you, too many Uber Driving waiting for the meals, they need help in the kitchen

Just placed an order to be delivered to my hospital bed in Denton. Thanks for bringing me the Panang curry without the rice. Thanks for sending an empty damn box full of nothing. Great work running the show. Refund my money.

Food is great but they are extremely understaffed. Gentleman with the dreads just ignores take out customers assuming everyone is DoorDash.

Called a take out order, they said 30minutes… showed up an hourly later and waited another 20 until I explained I am not a driver.

So delicious!!! I haven't been in almost 25 years and we recently had an amazing lunch there! I feel like a fool for waiting so long! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this wonderful family ran restaurant is a gem!!! We're planning on enjoying it at least once a week!!! Best Thai restaurant in the north Dallas area(Denton) by far!

We really enjoyed the food there. We got chu chee curry and chicken fried rice, and all of them were delicious! I highly recommend both. HOWEVER, they charged us for the wrong items. We didn't get hot teas. We only got hot water, and they charged us with hot teas. I thought my parents-in-law got hot tea, so I paid. I should double-check before paying, but they should know we didn't get hot teas because they gave you a hot tea with a kettle.

Spice levels are for non-Asians, so get 5 if you want close to Asian level kick. The flavor was too sweet in our dishes and not enough spice. They don't charge for extra rice, but you're charged for a small pinch of peanuts/sprouts/etc. The portions are small for what they charge. The water taste good. Servers are nice.

It was a pleasant surprise on how good the food was. I wouldn't say 100% authentic but hey who cares. It's close enough and tasty for me.

Ordered orange chicken with max spice (level 5), paid extra for fried rice. Chicken pieces were way too big and had to be cut to eat. Sauce was very thin and under seasoned, was more like a broth. Broccoli was undercooked and very crunchy. Fried rice looked like it probably saw a pan for minute but was basically just steamed rice. Wasn't really spicy, almost undetectable.

The service was slow too. Server was generally absent and didn't refill drinks. Brought one dish out about 10 min before the second one arrived, no apology. Had to get up and go find a different server to get out check.

I had heard that this was the best thai place in denton but that is not true at all based on my experience.

Frozen/cold crispy spring rolls are no longer an issue! They changed that a while back, but I forgot to update my review.

BEST Thai in Denton, but I've noticed they must have changed something with how they make their crispy spring rolls. Last few times, over the last couple of months, the inside is VERY cold. Like still very chilled even though the wrapper is obviously freshly fried. Makes me wonder if they have started freezing them ahead of time and so the inside doesn't get heated through. Fix that and it's back to 5 stars! :)

Food was excellent. We had the panang curry and the pad thai. Hannah was SO NICE. She was excited about the food and gave great suggestion.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Denton! My fiancé and I come here just just every week because you can’t do better in Denton. Recommend the herbal chicken fried rice, very generous portions for the price. All the servers are exceptionally kind, and have the best customer service. Particularly Hannah, but every server I’ve had has been a delight. Go down and enjoy some Thai Tea!

First and last time waiting for two items more than 45 minutes don't take more orders then you can make it

The BBQ pork fried rice, Tom Kha soup, spring shrimp rolls, and their rangoons are their best items in my opinion, and taste amazing. Their servers are also very nice!

Im really disappointed in Thai Ocha, this used to be my boyfriend and I’d favorite place to go on weeknight dinners. However, the food is now inconsistent and low quality. I don’t know why or how these things changed but I miss the old, good quality, consistent food.

Thank you Thai Ocha for having excellent customer service! Unfortunately there was an ordering issue with a newer employee when I placed my order causing me to receive no salmon with my salmon panang. Turns out he didn’t ring up the salmon but they still happily remade my food 10 minutes before closing. Initially I was a little upset as I thought I did order clearly and I do apologize for the steam at first but I am extremely grateful at how the owner handled me(an upset customer) and the situation. Great food as well and great customer service is why I will continue to patronize this establishment! Thanks again!❤️

Definitely check this place out if you’re in Denton it’s a great hole in the wall Thai food place. Food was delicious and savory all the spices and flavors came together nicely. It was understaffed during the rush time when my friend and I sat down to eat, it is a small business so it’s understandable.

It was a bit of a wait since there was really only one server taking care of everyone, I recommend going when they’re not too busy. Staff was very accommodating, I was given the wrong order and they immediately took it back to the kitchen to be fixed. Had the Panang Curry it was delicious, pretty big portions too! Atmosphere is really nice, they have two tvs there as well so that you can enjoy food and a show. Had a great time tonight thanks for serving us Thai Ocha definitely will be back for more! 😋

Also parking can get a little crazy when it’s busy it’s a small lot, drive safe when you turn in at rush hour.

Our Fresh Roll with shrimp appetizer and my Khao Soi with chicken were excellent, delicious flavors and sauces. Unfortunately my husband's Fried Pompano was overcooked, but the garlic basil sauce was excellent. The menu is huge, we'll be back to try more items. Thanks!

As a long term customer, I haven’t had any issues until I met Natalie. I’ve spent too much money on incorrect orders to continue giving them my business, and Natalie is the problem. You can explain your experience and plead for her to communicate to the cooks the same order that you communicate to her, but you will only receive her misplaced frustration and disrespect. If disrespect and incorrect orders are something you enjoy, ask for Natalie at Thai Ocha.

Very welcoming personnel and very tasty food...tried the cashew vegetables lunch special and it was very nice.

They were very rude and I spent very much money for a birthday that was special and they gave me the wrong order and I specifically said to have meat like shrimp and chicken and when I got home it did not have any in it . I called them back and ask them about it and they refused to talk about it and when I tried explaining they hung up the phone on me.I called them back and they refused to give me a refund and hung up not once but twice .I am very upset about this and I do not recommend this place to anybody.

The place is clean and pleasant to dine in. Parking is a little tricky as you pull out/in from a main busy street. The food wasn't bad but I didn't finish and I usually destroy my Thai food. For the price I was not happy. The people were nice and fast.

Had the perfect experience here. Tam Kah soup was out of this world!! The tomatoes in it were a first, but made it almost creamier. The sesame chicken was perfection!!! Not too much breading like other places. James was an excellent server. Please come here. Worth every penny!!

This is Denton’s best Thai restaurant in my opinion. They are cooking from scratch here. The flavors really shine and you can tell by the food that the chef/cooks are skilled. It’s a notch above the rest.

Small and very personable. The food is beautifully presented, and the flavor is amazing!! Definitely a must go to if you're in the area.

I’ve ordered food for pick up twice so far and it’s been REALLY good. Taste super authentic and flavorful. The fried rice dishes are 10/10 and I’ll be trying more dishes soon.

Fresh rolls where delicious, rice is cooked properly not in a clump like terrible places. Only reason I'm personally giving 4 stars and not 5 is purely based if my opinion of the curry. I have the curry at every Thai restaurant I goto for base line. The flavor is good here however it's more watery than I expected. Coconut milks is a but thicker than this was. That being said everything tasted great and I would eat here again.

This place is a diamond in the ruff. The food is outstanding. The prices are not that bad. This place is just off of the main road, so you kinda have to know where it's at. Don't hesitate to try this little place out!

Food was excellent. Tofu was nice and crispy on my father in laws plate. I actually had the yellow curry on a 5 heat and it was everything i wanted. Sweet coconut and jam packed with spice. Service was not bad but not worth a 5 star in my opinion. Atmosphere was a little hole-in-the-wall but hey, you know what youre getting into when you pull in the drive. Not exactly wheelchair accessible. About a 6 to 8 inch step just to get into the place and the front doors installed backwards😂

I wish Thai Ocha had a punch card for their pad thai. When I eat other restaurant’s pad thai I feel angry and sad it’s not Thai Ocha’s.

We eat at Thai Ocha at least once a month, sometimes more. Their pot stickers are the best I have ever had.

They advertise they are open till 3 PM for dining. Arrived at the restaurant at 2:22 PM waitress said they quit seating tables and could only do to go orders.
