Thai Food Service
My husband and I decided to go to Greensboro to try Thai food, we read a good reviews about this restaurant, and all of them been great, so sad for us we didnβt feel the same way. I ordered chicken Pad Thai noodles and iI was very disappointed, the noodles were so dry, not flavor like I was expecting. My husband ordered Pad kee-mow and it was the same way, very dry over cooked, I donβt think we are going to come back here, by the way, the food presentation was nice.
This was our first time here tonight. Everything we had was delicious and very flavorful. We will most definitely be back and recommending this Thai place. Thank you for great service. Oh and it's nice and cozy in there!! Very clean
Very good flavors, nice atmosphere, and very friendly staff. They have live music if you like that. Nice bar area. Their portion size seemed to be a little bigger than average, which I like as a big eater. I definitely will go again. The owner brought over a spice selection and offered his guidance on adding heat and flavor, which was fun.
Ordered: Beef fried rice 4/10 - fried dumplings 6/10 - fried spring roll 10/10 (free)
Not very flavorful at all - maybe ordered th3 wrong things but overall very disappointed. Quite expensive. (30$ for rice and dumplings) most impressed by free fried spring roll
Rice was very onion heavy, no flavor, and overall very wet
I usually like this spot for my work lunch, but the food had no taste to it my last time around. It wasnβt just me, all of my coworkers were dissatisfied. The service was great so thank you, but the food needs something to not be so bland and to stand out. Paying $50 for 2 people on small plates of rice and noodles to just be filled with tasteless carbs is the worst.
Excellent food. Great service. We, a group of 6 went to this Thai restaurant in Greensboro a few days ago. They served authentic dishes. All of them were freshly prepared and were very tasty. Most of the items we ordered were vegetarian
and they were superb. Being vegetarian we get limited choices when it comes to eating out. Now we have got one more choice - Thai vegetarian food. I have included the photos of the menu.
The ambiance of the restaurant was good. And DJ was playing good music. Over all excellent place for Thai food with reasonable prices.
Donβt look for a Thai experience here. Everything is pretentious and pieced together. The food was put together by a kindergarten student. Itβs my first and last time.
Great food and live music!
Very expensive food. The gravy was so smelly that we couldn't eat it. Besides that food is ok.

Amazing ambient combined with excellent food.
Best Thai in NC, and that's from an experimentor!!! Outstanding!!!! 12 stars!!!

I wanted to eat here but the guy who picked up the phone was rude - I will not give them any of my money due to the fact that I called and tried to place my order and said I would call back and instead of saying bye or anything, the man just hangs up the phone as if I wasted his time. Not good service. Will go to another Japanese restaurant who is respectful.
Friendly staff and finger food. Empty on arrival but absolutely full when we finished our meal. We arrived just in time.

Everything was delicious! Complimentary springroll was a nice surprise. Good service.
My sister and I went here on Monday and ordered a lot of food! Everything was DELICIOUS! I'm going back today which is Wednesday! π I love it!!!
Delicious food and super nice people that own it
Thai Chiang in Greensboro is easily the best Thai restaurant in the area, we actually travel quite a few miles to make it to this place - food and service is always excellent!!
Best Thai that I know of!!!!
Great service and food. Fast and attentive.
Food did not align with wonderful atmosphere. Dumplings werenβt fresh, satay was rubbery and tastelessβ¦two of our entrees were over salted and overcooked.
waiter was so nice and its so cozy
also had live music which was cool
Loved the red curry. Atmosphere is very nice as well. Service was quick.
Food is always fresh, service is nothing but great, and atmosphere is relaxing & welcoming!

Pad Kee Mao is my favorite but haven't had a bad dish. Spice it to 3 or 4 for a perfect Thai kick.
My favorite place in the triad
Beautifully authentic food from a family who has been in the business a long time. Service is excellent.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was fantastic. I talked to the owner and found out what a great person he is. This is a must stop place if you love good food and amazing people!!!! I will be back.
Very average.
I have been eating here since they had their original location in High Point on Main St.
The owner, James, his family and staff always deliver a great dish of Thai cuisine!
Standard Thai restaurant. Tried pineapple fried rice and chiangmai chicken, and they both are good as expected. Nothing stood out though.
Food is always amazing
Wonderful Thai food!! Got the green curry and chicken larb⦠both fabulous. Great local IPA also. Good prices are normal and drink prices are cheaper than most places. Great atmosphere and the staff is soooo friendly. The owner spent a good deal of time with us,,, she is so kind and very interesting.
Excellent experience, great staff, delicious food
The food is always good, the atmosphere is very comfortable. We always try to stop here on our way to the mountains. Weβve always been able to get a table or sit at the bar. Once there was live music which was very cool.
The two people managing the place (I'm assuming it's a couple who owns it) were very nice and attentive. The place is well decorated and spacious and the best part is the food. We tried two different dishes and some spring rolls and they were great! We prefer the lard na to the pad Thai, but both were very tasty. We now also tried the pad sa ew. Also terrific!
This is our go to Thai place when in the area! Love it here, live music is good when it is there and the staff is always friendly! It is very unique inside and relaxing! Love the food here and the Thai tea!
I've been to several Thai restaurants around here but this one wins as far as taste and atmosphere. The genuine Thailand instruments on the walls and sculptures and other decor really add to the atmosphere. Service was excellent. For free spring roll when you come in and are waiting for your dinner. I had the yellow curry which was excellent. I see now why this restaurant is rated so highly.
Really great food can't wait to go again!
Great food great service
Tried it for the first time after moving here a few years ago.
Having grown up on SE Asian cuisine, the few things we tried were sub par at best, while we didnβt finish our meals there was no desire to ask for to go boxes.
Chicken wings: frozen food service wings with no seasoning.
Pad thai lunch special: Not a fan of the reddish looking pad thai and the thin noodles were complete mush from being over cooked, bland.
Beef and broccoli lunch special: Missing the flavor profile Thai food should have, while it was edible it was lacking in any flavor.
Glad we tried it as I have now tried every Thai restaurant in the GSO High Point area and one always comes out on top.
The food is always rich and delicious with quality ingredients! Over my many years of dining here, the flavor is always consistent, and the portions are more than adequate... my husband calls them "hungry man servings!'. The family service is always attentive and courteous. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Great place! Go there soon! π₯³π
Food was bland . It only spicy and lacked flavor
Best Thai Food in Greensboro!
I love Thai Chiang Mai. That is all. :)
A wonderful spot for a fast, delicious, consistent lunch. The service is always on point, and I appreciate the range of lunch specials they offer each weekday.
I visit pretty often because it's quite close to my workplace, but I would go often even it wasn't. A solid choice!
Got the Pad Thai Noodles - great taste and good spice level. Would definitely visit again
The owners are always on time the food is excellent. The service is wonderful. Great place to eat.
Absolutely the best Thai restaurant in the area in my opinion. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent and even the deserts were very good, which was a bonus. Thanks for the great meal!
Can't go wrong with #29 pranang curry with chicken! Always hits the spot!
Excellent
I love the Mussamun Curry! The food is good and seems authentic.
The service was just okay. The food was bland and meh. Had to ask for our check and the bathroom could use cleaning. Would I return? Not likely.
My favorite place for Thai!!!
Very nice relaxed atmosphere. Professional staff, though curt. The food is very neat with great flavor. Spice levels are low. Price is about on par.
ordered a spicy noodle soup and I liked it so much that I decided to leave a review. the soup is handmade, and is yummy. itβs been a not very busy day so had a very friendly chat with the chef, very positive thank you
We have tried them all, and this is hands down our favorite Thai restaurant in town. Great portion size, attentive βfamily styleβ service, and everything weβve eaten here has been amazing! The complimentary spring rolls with each meal are so good. They even have great live music on the weekends. Check it out, you wonβt be disappointed.
We got 2 pad Thai dinners and spring rolls And the noodles were overcooked, hardly any spice to the dishes. I've had much better in the area.
Simply delicious. It's very tasty. And the service is great.
Super tasty food π would have taken pics but it was so good I couldn't waste time and had to chow down!! If you like curry the red is to Die for β€
Always a good dining experience with the best Thai in the area. Hard to decide on a favorite dish. Start with the Larb.
The best Thai food in the Piedmont Triad IMHO! So glad they made it through the last few years. Service was quick and attentive. We had the roasted duck and pad Thai noodles with Thai beer! All arrived very tasty and hot.
Summer rolls were awesome!!
I was strictly a Rern Thai (Greensboro) fan. After they closed I have been trying different Thai spots. This is the winner! Love the authentic vibe, food is fabulous!
Haven't tried their other items, but their pad thai is the best I've had in the area. So good, I went back 2 days in a row for it. It's more expensive than other Thai restaurants I've been to, though. For lunch pad Thai, it was $12.
A bit on the spicy side, but still great food. The interior and vibe was great!
Had the most amazing curry dish. The flavor was perfect. Vegetables were tender and not mushy or too hard, and they were perfectly cooked. The owner came and spoke to us; such a sweet person. It is obvious she and anyone else that cooks there put a lot of heart and soul into the food.
Clean and Nice.
Very good Pad Thai with chicken! I'm from out of town and I would definitely come here again if I'm in the area. The food feels authentic (not that I'm any kind of expert).
Good Thai food, ordered their green curry and sweet rice with mango. They were delicious.
Flavorful dishes, taste authentic. Wish the portion was a bit larger.
This is the only time I have been to a restaurant that has great food and a wonderful atmosphere.
So Iβm in this area all the time and decided to stop for lunch just a little after 11am. I was greeted and told to β sit wherever I wantβ. I did just that. There was a few ppl inside eating, but not busy at all. So soon as i sit down the lady behind the bar says would u like to sit at a smaller table? I said no mam, this is fine. She then says well we might need that table for a bigger party. Then why would u tell me to sit anywhere? And then why would you ask me, do I want a smaller table??? As I looked around there were PLENTY of tables big and small. I said forget it, Iβm leaving. She looked surprised as I was leaving. She said ur leaving? I said yes mam, I said mam thereβs not many ppl in here, itβs 11:10, and thereβs plenty of room. No need for me to switch tables. It would of taken me 10-15 mins to eat max. And if I was sitting down and it got that busy, I wld of moved on my own. There loss
The larb is very tasty! Nice atmosphere.
Food was really good!
Awesome little place. Everyone talks to you like you're old friends. I asked for extra extra extra extra spicy and it came out with the perfect amount to enhance the flavors.
Friendly guy even convinced me to find a Thai temple for a festival
Greatest kept secret restaurant in Greensboro! Worth the drive, definitely. Veggie options, some GF options (no GF menu). Always inform your food server of any food allergies anywhere you go. Live music on a Thursday! What's left of the crowd as the restaurant closes is cheering for an encore by the stragglers remaining past close. Very clean, very pretty decor, friendly staff β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Great place in High Point, the food is great!!
Really good food at a fair price. Will absolutely be back again.
Good food and friendly staff. Live music was nice!
Iβve been travelling for work and been in a different town for the past 15 night. This was definitely one of the best meals Iβve had the entire time. Unfortunately I have to leave town after one night but if Iβm ever back in Greensboro Iβm coming here. Stir fry vegetablesβ¦ very good!
Best Thai within 30 miles of Greensboro.
Very nice staff and very good food!!
The spring rolls were very good! Note that I have been to at least 5 Thai restuarants in relative close proximity to this one. This is by far the least preferred. The Thai food is ok. Service was non existent. I asked for the hottest Thai Hot. The level of spice delivered was 0. If you like high prices, nominal service, mediocre Thai food in a decent atmosphere then you may want to try here.
I would give this place 20 stars if I could. Amazing food!!! I'm extra impressed because I have Celiac disease and asked for my meal to be prepared gluten free. Not only was it gluten free, but out-of-this world DELICIOUS. They had very impressive customer service, they were just the nicest people and they had live music the night I went. What an incredible place, happy, upbeat vibe, you can't help but leave with a smile on your face. So THANK YOU for making my 2nd day as a Greensboro resident extra awesome. I will absolutely be a regular here. :)
They have our favorite dish. LARB GAI... and if you like heat ask for "Thai Hot"... it delivers the heat. Lunch specials are good service is quick.
The place is clean every time I visit. The wait staff is not just professional but very friendly. I could just sit there and order from the menu all day. It's just a real adventure sampling their many dishes. Needless to say, I am very satisfied with Thai Chang Mai.
Great food with good friends
Best Thai food iaround.
Food and staff always wonderful!
Lunch portion sizes are little pricey. But, the atmosphere and dining experience are consistently and thoroughly enjoyable.
Today I saw the owner searching the parking lot, trying to track down the owner of a cell phone that had been left behind. That was beyond courteous. Kudos!
Service and Food is great. Lots of seating and clean tables. Good Lunch Specials.
I ordered some spring rolls and beef panang curry. I placed my call in order pretty close to closing and the women who greeted me when I arrived let me know she gave me an extra spring roll because they were about to close. The spring rolls were pretty solid and I loved the sauce that came with them. However, the panang curry was lacking. It wasnβt bad, but Iβve definitely had better elsewhere. The meat was tough to chew. Also, the flavor of the curry wasnβt very strong. The portions were smaller than what Iβm used to, but that wasnβt that much of a disappointment. I would return but I would want to try a different dish.
Good food. Nice staff.
We did Pad Thai and Thai basil fried rice. The former was good but the latter lacked flavor. We felt the flavor was quite missing even though we did mention we were fine with fish or oyster or any other sauces.
Great place, great owners, very good service and food!
Very good food and people. Yummy. Definitely go try them. Got to try them.
The food is good but the live music they had was pretty awesome
Amazing Thai Food. Southern hospitality. I am from California but travel for work and am in Greensboro often. This is the best Thai Food Iβve ever had. They have solid traditional flavors and the food is very fresh. They are consistent with quality and the staff is very considerate and friendly.
Absolutely outstanding.
Food was some of the best thai I've had, service was fast and friendly. I was there early, but by 630pm, it was starting to get busy- for good reasons!
This is my favorite Thai restaurant of all time. The food is authentic and delicious. The owners are friendly and professional. We eat here at least once per week.
Food was good service was good.
$16 for chicken fried rice at lunch time⦠$16 for rice and chicken. How can you justify charging that much, especially at lunch time? I used to love eating here, but not ever again with the new prices.
Love the soup and ginger chicken with vegetables
best Pad Thai in the city.
Healthy dishes cooked to order. Fresh, flavorful, fantastic. You get what you pay for. Excellence.
Delicious! I miss for not having their hotpot.
THE BEST food and service in the area. Dined in, gotten to-go. NEVER disappointed.
Awesome food and service every time. Never had a bad experience here. The owner is super nice and very accommodating
Outstanding staff! We arrived right at 9pm ( closing time) to order takeout- we had already tried 2 Thai restaurants that also closed at 9 and both turned us away with their restaurants still serving customers! (one in the Palladium shopping center) Thai Chiang Thai welcomed us and provided a delicious meal- even throwing in a couple of spring rolls! The food was delicious! Would highly recommend!
Service was fine but the food was mixed. Dumplings and crispy rolls were ok but the meat (beef and chicken) were not very good and the noodles were pretty mushy.
Great food! Really great service! Nice atmosphere. Mild, medium, hot, and Thai hot are right on target.
Great food, super-friendly staff, fun decor & music, too. We'll be back! Easy veggie & gluten-free options.
Very nice out of the way place to eat. Good service too.
Tldr, great Thai food, but fairly expensive for portion size. Wings are... The crispiest, well seasoned with salt. Wish there was a larger sauce dipping bowl and maybe add a little water to thin out the Thai chili sauce. Chicken pad Thai was delicious, but pretty pricey for the portion size. I want to give you a 4 star for price but the overall quality and experience, 5.
Excellent staff!
Came here for lunch and then dinner. Was expecting so much more from reviews. Lunch they gave me the wrong order then when I paid they gave me the wrong change. Got a wonton soup to go as well cost 12$ so was hopeful the last item would be worth it but No it's the exact same wonton soup from any other Asian restaurant just twice the price. Food overall was ok nothing like reviews suggest. People need to get out more before leaving reviews such as these. Would be 2 stars but they where constantly on the go making sure everyone had full drinks, even though she did ask me if I wanted anything else while she was walking away which I am grateful for almost added another item to go
Honestly this was one of the best noodle soups I've ever had. I LOVE pho and order it 9/10 times at any restaurant that offers it, and I can say their noodle soup goes WAY beyond "good", "delicious" or "flavorful". Not to mention the staff are extremely friendly and we chatted for a while about all kinds of things. My husband and I just moved to the area, and they made us feel at home here. Will definitely be going again.
Green Curry is excellent.
Love their redcurry and fried wontons.
I've been coming here every few weeks since I moved to Greensboro. They have become our staple date night location.
What a disappointment!! We used to go here all the time. It has been about a year since last time what a difference. Got a lunch portion for dinner and was nothing like it used to be. WILL NoT BE BACK!! Also service sucked!!
Food is excellent
Our favorite Thai food. We've been eating here for 20+ years!!!
This is by far the best Thai place near PTI. Everything is good but their Thai chicken and basil is delicious. Have it at least a couple times a month
Absolutely love the food. I go here weekly for lunch and love both the fried rice and the Pad Kee Mow. My biggest complaint is the portion size. I leave this place still hungry. For a $13 lunch, you would think the portions would be much bigger than they actually are. For the portion size, a $8 or $9 bill would be more understandable.
