Camellia Garden is an upscale restaurant dedicated to serving authentic, traditional, unique and fresh Sushi, Thai, and Burmese dishes, premium beverages and wines. The exceptional quality of our sushi is attributed to a one-of-a-kind combination of fresh ingredients, coupled with 10 years of experience and modern preparation techniques. Never satisfied with the mundane, we are constantly experimenting with innovative culinary methods to refine our menu. Since we’ve begun our culinary adventure, we have only pursued the most sustainable and freshest products available.
Having just moved to the area me and the wife decided to start trying some new restaurants. We initially were attracted by the sushi selection. The sushi itself is just okay, nothing special. Now the Green Curry we had was amazing, very delicious. That also said they told us a Level 2 is spicy, but I didn't taste any spice at all. I will say I was a bit upset they didn't have their Thai beer available. Overall a decent experience and will probably go back.
I went with friends and share many different plates. The food is delicious, it's prepared fresh and came out quick.
However, the atmosphere was really... off. I don't know if we went in during a slow period or a dull night, but no one else was there. We walked in for a table for 4 and they seated us immediately, but for the following 2 hours we were there, we were the only people there until the last 20 minutes. Some people picking up to go orders came by but that was it.
This wouldn't have been that bad if the restaurant had music playing, but it stayed at a deafening quietness without any background music.
Also, despite us being the only people in the restaurant, I did have to ask a couple of times for water.
Don't get me wrong, we might have just hit it up a night when everyone decided to stay inside. The building and interior is very nice and clean, and the food is delicious. Our Experience with the atmosphere is why we are giving it a 3/5.
So if you're going for food, go here.
Tasty delicious food. I went with the Bermese Samosas to start. Crispy outside and nice warm potatoes/filling inside. For dinner I did the Pad Kee Mow with chicken and I got it hot. It wasn't too spicy but just the right amount of heat. I was also able to try the Chicken and potatoes curry. Very good, will be back. Not many patrons which was surprising for a Friday at 6pm but service and food were great
Welcoming atmosphere and stellar service. It’s always a joy coming here for date nights. Highly recommend the sushi rolls, fried rice dishes and curries!
The food we ordered was delicious. Loved the black rice sushi and the pad thai. They have these really cool sushi boats. Looking forward to trying one of those next time! The service was great and very attentive. Good ambiance too with the music choice and the new decorating.
Went here for the first time and it was amazing! I feel like I could eat here every weekend. Ordered spring rolls and shrimp tempura for an appetizer. Also Ordered Vietnamese pho! 👌 I ordered the jasmine basil rice with shrimp. Everything was perfect! There was nobody in the dining room which really surprised me because it really was such good food and dining room was really nice! This will be a new favorite place!

Great food, good atmosphere, kind service.

My wife and I love this place. Everything we have tried has been great. sushi, pho, and pad tai are my personal favorites.
The food here is always amazing 🔥
This place is a gem. Makes no sense why there are so few folks there, but the quality is phenomenal... Especially for Western New York
Service is fast and friendly. The food is fantastic. An appetizer, soup, and entree were all outstanding. This will be a regular stop for me from now on.
Best Pad Thai I've ever had! Be sure to get the spicy sushi roll!
Very good. Sushi was excellent. Server was very nice. Very affordable

We decided to stop by this thai restaurant after looking for something that was not buffalo "cuisine". You don't think much of it driving by but had decent reviews. We were not disappointed. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The food was fresh and amazing. We have lived in major cities with exquisite food choices and this camellia absolutely hit the same mark. The inside is very clean and actually very nice. They have Thai, Vietnamese and sushi dishes, which can be scary sometimes. But once again we were happy that it was all good. My son who is seven loved the mango sushi roll (mango, cucumber and crabstick) super fresh, he ate one and took one home to eat. I had the pad thai, no ketchup based sauce here, actual fish sauce base. Amazing. Husband has the lemongrass soup and the green curry chicken stock full of fresh veggies and plentiful in chicken. I hope more people stop by and realize what a diamond in the rough is sitting in depew! We will be back!!
Very good beef pho, fragrant and savory.
Never disappointed aways clean, friendly staff and good food!!
Service 10/10. The atmosphere was relaxing and the sushi was delicious!! Would definitely recommend!
Love this place, definitely a hidden gem with excellent Thai food. We have both dined in and ordered take out many times. The staff is always very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. Would highly recommend.
I went to this restaurant a few times last year and have recently ordered takeout.
Dining in: the place was clean and not overcrowded with tables. The staff was friendly and patient with our endless questions and great at suggesting and helping us pick our entrees. The wait for the food was a bit longer than we would have liked, but the food was worth the wait. They served genours portions.
If you enjoy spicy food, make sure to ask for Thai spicy pr ask for chili oil on the side because my extra hot was barely a 1.5 (on a scale of 1-5)
Food ordered: pad see ew, pad thai, Basil fried rice and a few rolls.
Takout: I ordered less than 30 minutes before closing. I was quite surprised they took my order, as many places close their kitchen 30 minutes before closing. The portions were once again quite generous. The food was not quite as delicious as when I ate in the restaurant, though. I plan on ordering out again and comparing it.
Classic fried rice with chicken and tom yum soup, beef pad thai.

great wait staff, food was great and very flavorful. they forgot lime/Basil leaves as stated in dish, but fantastic just the same. Hot ginger tea was delicious.
The red curry was OUTSTANDING, I got it at heat level 3 and it was awesome. Great place to sit and talk and eat wonderful food.
The food was delicious, and fresh, great flavors. Came back the next day, had pad Thai, was great! Definitely will be back.
We ordered shrimp spring rolls, burmese samosas, and house specialties chicken and potatoes curry and the eggplant special. Every dish was absolutely delicious and exceeded expectations. Ambiance was nice for a casual family dinner out. Worth the drive from the Northtowns. Agree with other reviewers this restaurant is a hidden gem and a must try!
Beautiful little place to get some really well manicured sushi and Thai food. The tea leaf salad is second to none in the area
Camellia Garden is my go-to place! I always get the vegetable pad thai and it is DELICIOUS. You can customize the spiciness of it, which is wonderful to me because I do not like super spicy pad thai! I also have had the dumplings, spring rolls, vegetable spring roll, and various sushi rolls and everything is AMAZING. Staff is wonderful and very friendly. Highly recommend.
Pad Thai was lacking flavor, had to doctor it up quite a bit. Bummer, I was craving it!
Very quiet night. But the place was handsomely decorated and very welcoming. Service was gracious and accurate. The menu was extensive and we'll organized. Many sushi offerings as well as Thai and Burmese dishes.
We shared a Philadelphia sushi roll and tea leaf salad as appetizers. The salad was a major surprise! I had PA nang curry and my daughter had Pad Now. Both were full of crisp vegetables and perfectly spiced. So grateful we found this place!!
The food was fresh and authentic. Haven't had better Thai food anywhere in western New York.
We make it a regular date night every couple weeks and the food is exceptional. They know us when we come in and it’s a welcoming atmosphere. Best Thai in the area. We love this place. Definitely check it out. You won’t regret it.
Underrated place. I went when it was empty about a hour before close and they got my food out to me quickly and fresh! Highly recommend.
This is evreything I am looking for in a thai place. I came in for a late lunch. I ordered a sushi plate and chicken pad thai. A Standard. I was thoroughly pleased. Not only with the food or atmosphere, but the prices as well.
I would highly reccomend this place to anyone looking for a delicious thai dish ina nice environment.
Service was also very friendly and kind :)
I'm lowering my review because they don't have my favorite soup anymore. The coconut noodle soup was soooo good, I miss it :(
Good food, atmosphere, and the workers are sooooo nice :)
Always order to go; looks cute though. Great food
One of the best Thai restaurants in WNY! Beautiful relaxing atmosphere inside with friendly personable service, or quick half hour take out. Bonus is their very reasonable prices.
Always a great meal. A wonderful place for a quiet dinner to sit and talk. Prices are very reasonable, too. Highly recommend.
I ordered take out and picked it up just before 4pm. I got the chicken pad thai, sweet potato roll and crispy spring rolls. This was probably the worst thai food i have ever had. Everyone else who shared photos of their food looked amazing, mine was so bland, no flavor, the pad thai was basically white and tasted like nothing! The sweet potato roll was bland, i actually though they gave me carrots instead but no it was cold barely cooked sweet potato. I did enjoy the crispy spring rolls but you only get 4 small ones for 7.50 which i think is overpriced. I wont be ordering here again.
We get get Chicken Pad Thai and Basil Fried Rice frequently at Camellia Garden and the food is always delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend to my friends.
Great food. Spot on flavor on all of our food.
Never had a place tell me where I had to sit when there was no one else in the place......
Very nice service and absolutely delicious offerings. This was our first visit and will definitely be going back.
Do yourself a favor and don't come in on weekends. They were severely understaffed on the Friday and Saturdays that we came in. From what my husband and I saw, there was one person managing over 5 tables while also answering phone calls and overseeing their carryout operation. In turn we obviously never had much attention given to our table save from when we were seated and given the bill. The food is delicious though and we're gonna try takeout on the weekends we want to eat here

Best Thai around
Decent Asian restaurant with good quality Thai dishes and fairly standard to below-average sushi..... which they unapologetically use a microwave to prepare. We've always wondered why the sushi has always tasted unusually sour for the 3 times the wife and I have been here, and a quick look at where they prepare it shows why. I have no idea why they'd think it would be a good idea to have an area to prepare sushi RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR CUSTOMERS when they use a microwave to prepare...... raw fish. You can quite literally hear the microwave go off as well. It's a health hazard and really should be looked into. The Thai dishes hit the spot and tasted fresh too, though, and the service was also great.
Oof
Met the chef/owner who was incredibly friendly. Closest to authentic south East Asian cuisine I’ve found in the Buffalo area and it’s not even close. Been to Thailand three times and this place is great!
We made a stop while visiting from out of town. The food was delicious and the service was so friendly and welcoming! I’m putting this as one of my go to places when traveling in/around Buffalo.
We are permanent travelers and I've ordered my favorite (green curry) in several US states just this year. This is one of the best. The vegetables were super fresh and high quality. The beans, eggplant, and bamboo were better than just about everywhere else. The beef less notable, but good. We also had some noodle dishes and they were top notch as well.
This place is a hidden gem! We had dinner here tonight and found everything to be fresh and delicious. Pad Thai, sushi, Panang Curry..each one was outstanding. Clean place, and service was very good. Will definitely be back.
Nice atmosphere friendly service, and authentic Thai Burmese dishes,
Will definitely be returning 😌
Some of the best miso soup I've ever had - not too salty or over seasoned. The sushi is also amazing. So delicious!! The ambiance in the restaurant is great for an intimate dinner date. Staff is super attentive.
I will definitely be going back.
The food is wonderful. I had some sushi, red curry and crispy spring rolls. All great! Service is good too.
absolutely lovely place
Now that Dobutsu has closed, this is easily the best spot for asian cuisine in the Buffalo area (of those I have tried). Clean, natural flavors as opposed to all the heavy, artificial ones found at most Thai/Chinese/Japanese. Pad see ew was fantastic.
Also, the staff were very friendly when I picked up my order.
Will absolutely be returning.
Great food, great service.
Great Thai food. The servers were so attentive, but without being in the way or disruptive. Restaurant itself was very clean and well-decorated. Excellent experience!
Their food is absolutely wonderful. Best Tom Yum in the area hands down.
Food is always great.
Dumpling soup is very good!!
Fast service, love the Pad See Ew with Beef (spicy). Great adult business crowd for lunch, adult "date night crow" during the week nights.
Just finished a to-go order of green curry on my lunch break. Was very delicious. I will definitely be back.
I’ve been here many times before and every time I ate here it was a really good experience! I ordered the spicy chicken spring roll, super spicy tuna roll (which was amazing), and then the Philadelphia roll, which is where the problem was. I bit into my 4th roll and found a plastic strip! I was really confused, but I pulled out the strip and threw it out and thought something got messed up here, it’s whatever. I found two more plastic strips in two separate sushi pieces! Really?? That’s straight up disgusting and a hazard! I’ve really liked this place in the past, but honestly I don’t know if I want to ever order from here again.
This is a hidden gem! I will say, I always drive by and see the parking lot empty so I was weary to try it but I stopped in for lunch, got myself the Hawaiian sushi roll and the Thai pho. Although the sushi roll was more than enough, I’m excited to eat the pho later! Great atmosphere, wonderful, prompt service. Very clean and overall a great place to eat. I’ll be eating here more often :)
Very good Tai food
Thai Noodle Soup:
Curer of colds,
Warmer of souls,
Love in a bowl.
Seriously though, this soup was absolutely amazing. We ordered take-out as usual, and the broth and ingredients were packaged separately and so nicely. I have yet to have a bad meal from Camellia Garden. Usually take-out food isn't as good as dine-in, however this place is always delicious.
Not the experience we were looking for. First of all…..getting into the place is the equivalent of breaking into a bank vault. I mean…..how is that hospitality? Then when we noted the prices they charged were not same as the on line menu the snarky person told us “that’s an old website”. Like…..that’s our fault? Never again. It’s not worth the aggravation.
I ordered Pad Thai and Panang Curry. The Pad Thai was bland - no flavor at all! The Panang Curry had good flavor but was not panang curry! No kaffri lime leaves or Thai basil leaves, or even the taste of them. Also the carrots were chopped inconsistently that there were pieces that were hard as a rock and equivalent to 2-3 bite sizes and other pieces that were so thinly sliced that it was basically mushy.
I had it delivered so I didn't experience the ambiance of dine in. I'm giving Camellia Garden 2 starts because of the quick service (even though the driver got lost- not the fault of Camellia) and conflicting food flavors.
Super nice employees and food was amazing. Super fresh
Kinda what you expect for that food in wny. The lady was really nice though, just kinda meh food.
Always delicious. A first class establishment. Excellent service. Reasonable prices.
No flavor on pad thai, very over cooked noodles and only 3 tiny pieces of chicken. It was horrible. This is my 1st and last time ordering from here. Saigon Bangkok is 100x better.
The food is always good here. Wish they would open the patio soon.
Had the basil fried rice with chicken as the entree and it was so good. I had this in Cleveland Ohio at a Thai place 4 years ago and never found one as good, until today. This was sooooooo good and I recommend it to others. I also had the sampler sashimi and that was good. I also had spicy California roll and those were good too. The food was A+++ jist like the service. The waitress kept coming back and making sure everything was good. All around I would recommend it to anyone on the Buffalo, NY area.
Oh yeah I had some Thai tea that was so good too. Check that out for a drink, you will enjoy it!!
Great food and service as always.
Great food there. Got a fried rice dish, a noodle dish and a sushi entree and they were amazing. Our waitress Zar was super nice
Food is always good when I order there and the staff is friendly. Only downside is it takes a long time to order takeout. It took over an hour to make two dishes when the parking lot was practically empty and only one other person was there to pick up their order and he said he had been waiting for an hour and staff kept saying they needed more time to cook the food
Never got my order. Waited for an hour past the time it was supposed to be ready only to find out it would be another “7 minutes”. They have good food but not worth the wait.
The sushi always taste fresh. The service is warm and attentive. Planning on having a event here because of the patio size. It’s important to support small local business like this place.
Had a lovely, wonderful dinner with my family. Food is excellent...even if you think you will not like Thai food...I recommend it highly. It is healthy, tasty and very reasonably priced.
Hit or miss for takeout. Great for dine in. One of the only places for a tea leaf salad out this way which is why I usually order. If you are ordering pho, I would go elsewhere.
Exceptional service and food. Best Vegetable Roll I have had and the plum sauce is awesome.
Great place for black rice sushi
I am a delivery driver and their service is ALWAYS at least 10-15 minutes beyond my scheduled pick up time. They aren't even busy so I can't understand why they can'tbe on top of their orders.
Great fresh food will definitely go back for more
Great food. Just wish they would finally open fully instead of just take out due to the pandemic
Delicious Thai food. Friendly staff that give you the full experience
I ordered takeout with my boyfriend from Camellia Garden. I got the Pnang Curry and my bf got Green Curry. We also split a Philadelphia roll. Everything was amazing! The portions were very large and the flavors were spot on. The meals were ready when they said they were going to be and pickup was a breeze. Highly recommended! We definitely will be going back.
Great food and friendly staff! Our go to Thai restaurant now.
The food is so good here!
A great Thai and sushi restaurant. Everytime I order something different and I've never been disappointed!
Food is delicious! I get chicken pad tai and the chicken potato curry. Both are amazing. Also it is very clean and smells fresh. Overall great place to dine!😊
So happy! Finally found amazing Pad Thai with chicken and Thai iced tea!!!
One of the better places to get from in cheekto/depew area. Well definitely be coming here from now on.
I met my son and his roommate here for dinner (I’m from Rochester and he lives in Buffalo). The food was EXCELLENT! We had great food and the service was terrific.
Had summer rolls and dumplings first followed by pad ke mao. I would definately come back and try the sushi or pho which also looked great! Very clean!
Great food and good service.
First time here and i want these people to marry me. It was delicious as it was perfect. Will be back
Great food, great staff!!!
When I want Thai food I get Thai Orchid if I'm near Williamsville and Camellia Garden if near Lancaster. I've been here twice for takeout and it was great both times! So glad they opened closer to home.
The only reason this does not get five stars is that the service was very slow, and our water glasses were only filled once. That being said, the food was very good. We tried the dumplings (steamed), and they were adequate. But the Tom Yum (level 2 spice) was outstanding! My husband had the Panang Chicken Curry (level 3) and it was very good, perfect spice. I had the Coconut Noodle Soup and it was better than any other place I've been. We will be back!
Food was great
Super clean and classy looking establishment, the menu is slightly confusing but after figuring out the format it was easy enough to decide what sounded good.
The food was delicious and very decently priced, I really hope this place does well I know I will be back in the near future for some delicious pho.
Best Thai in the area, hands down.
Fantastic
Great place to have lunch at a fair price.
Best sushi in buffalo, service was wonderful.
Really great food and service
Have yet to have a bad meal here. The staff is always smiling and super helpful. Their Pho isn’t as good as Pho Dollar, but this is one of the best places for Pho that’s not in the city. Would highly recommend people try a meal here
Classy, always jazz, very clean sit down.
Fresh Thai food and Fresh Sushi right in Depew! I use Doordash too when i cant get up there
Amazing restaurant. Great food and service! Would highly recommend! Wow, will definitely be back!
The pho was very good. The chicken pangue was good too. we had a couple chef special sushi rolls which were good too.
Food was excellent
Just amazing.
Awesome pad Thai
The Tom Yum soup was delicious.
Great food, great prices
Food and atmosphere is great
The food was delicious. The main room is bright and cheery with soft music playing in the background. Highly recommend!
Tasty food, great service, elegant atmosphere and a good value.
5 stars for the chicken cashew stir fry and the beef red curry. I can't speak to authenticity, but living on the West coast for most of my life, this is what I expect from Thai food. I've been to plenty of places in Buffalo and nothing gets it like this place does.
Loved my mojito and coconut noodle soup !
some of the best Pad Thai around!
Great food, reasonably priced
Food was awesome (had sushi), it was really nice inside and clean. Service was nice and quick.
We head a large group. And there was another. So good did not come our at once. Bit all was fresh and great tasting.
Delicious.
The food was great! The prices are good and our waiter was very nice. I would give 5 stars but needs bigger bar menu. Most wine is by small bottle at $15 and very few options by the glass.
The inside of the building is beautiful. I felt like I was going to be sitting down to $50 menu items when I first walked in. I was wrong though. Menu prices were reasonable and affordable. The food was so fresh it almost seemed like they picked it right before preparing it. Everything was delicious, and I look forward to going back many many times.
Great Thai food and nice environment. Had the dumplings and spring rolls and Pad Kee Mow pork. They'll cater the spice level to your preferences. No kids menu but plenty of kid friendly options throughout the menu. Highly recommend.
Food and service excellent! Will go back!
