Horrible chicken over rice. The meat was so dry and no other flavor besides black pepper. There is no addition sauce. The lettuce underneath the rice and chicken is rotten, it's black. We don't eat it but it was on top of the hot food. The dish itself was cold right out of the kitchen. Service is was not too friendly. Overall, bad experience for services ans food. See picture below for the food
Ordered The Pad Sew Yew and Boat noodle and they were soooo good. With the spicy sauce (given when you ask).
I’m surprised the reviews were so bad, our pad sew yew was chicken and it was juicy!
The boat noodles soup was so flavorful and there was a good amount of meat and noodle.
It is on the pricier side for flushing BUT it’s cheap considering it’s Tangram.
Omg! This is exactly what I have been looking for. Just an authentic thai boat noodle! I found it. I have been to Thailand for more than 10 years and I would say I know Thailand boat noodle very well if I eat that on a daily basis. However if I must say, the broth went easier with the blood than the super authentic thai noodle, but I still think it’s so nice. It’s clean, it’s fresh and the broth was so tasty, and the temp was hot so that the noodle was kept at the right chewiness.
The owner May was super friendly and the soup base was nicely made. I can’t wait to come back for my second bowl😍.
It’s on 1/F at Tangram mall. You will see goldfish swimming pool on that level and a bunch of shops selling food. Head towards that food court area and turn right.
This restaurant is a gem at the Tangram food court serving authentic Thai cuisine! The place is small, but they clearly displayed their effort to create a nice dining atmosphere with decor and lighting.
I’ve been here many times and tried many items on the menu. Food was flavourful with a good amount of spices.
Here’s what I really like and ordered many times!
- Kapow over rice
- Thai fried rice with extra egg
- Pad Thai
- Drunken Noodle
I don’t eat a lot of Thai food due to my peanut allergy, but I was excited to stop by Zaab Zaab and try something I could actually eat. The boat noodle was so delicious, there was also a lot of meat included and they were able to accommodate for my allergy. I didn’t try the Tom yum personally but my dining partner enjoyed it too. The Thai iced tea was also really good. I really liked the atmosphere too; sitting in Zaab Zaab felt like we were secluded from the buzz of the mall food court. Service was good and waitstaff was attentive.
I have found my FAVORITE spot for Tom Yum Noodle Soup. They offer minced pork or seafood as choice of protein both priced at $15. The serving size is a bit smaller than what you’d get from spots in Elmhurst BUT this place packs a punch in terms of flavor. Their Tom Yum is creamy from coconut milk and finished off with a fresh squeeze of lime.
Our server, May, was such a gem - she’s the only one working the front of the store and she juggles take out orders AND waits on all the tables. She gave great recommendations and was honest on ones she haven’t tried before, so was hesitant on recommending.
I’ve also had their Gai Yang (grilled chicken)- which fyi, if you come later in the day they might not have the whole chicken and only the half. One thing I was missing from that is an order of papaya salad - which they unfortunately do not serve at this location.
Seating can be a bit tight, so I’d recommend coming in on their off peak hours!
Stir Fry Crispy pork and pad thai are so good

Most overpriced and worst papaya salad I’ve ever had. It had halves of raw Thai eggplant which was inedible. Not a lot of papaya and it looked like leftovers overall. Not surprised this place is always empty.
I had a boat noodle bowl that was not come close to how it was described on the menu. Portion was small and missed meatballs, tribe, etc. It had only 4 pieces of paper-thin sliced meat and noodle. The guy who worked there has a terrible attitude. I should have checked all the reviewed here before I went. What a waste of meal and money!
This was the most nastiest pad thai I ever had! I got shrimp and beef pad thai. The smell from the food was rotten and smelled like garbage. I'm annoyed I had to throw it out. But I'm glad I did or else I would've got food poisoning. Never going again. And pad thai is thick noddles not vermicelli noddles. I spent $34 for food that was rotten. It was almost as if it was sitting there for days or picked out the garbage.
Love it!

The attitude was unexpectedly rude. The food I ordered was Krawpow pork which is quite greasy. I paid extra for the fried egg which was no where to be found. They charged extra and forgot to give it to the customer. I am very disappointed.
We've visited twice and I have mixed feelings. The food is above average but prices are 30-50% higher than other Thai restaurants. Two skewers/sticks for 12-15 dollars? 36 dollars for the steak dish but I need to pay extra for a side of rice?
They serve water in small decorative cups that require refills but the servers dont pay attention
Overall 2
Food: 3

Cashier has an attitude problem , food is mid
10/10 would recommend the BOAT NOODLES here. The first time I tried it, I got hooked and always kept coming back, ordering that same dish. Also, the lady who manages the store is very nice and thoughtful.

Yummy noodles. Good service from the waitress who checked to see if everything was good.
Checked it out on last Monday for Zaab Burgers, unfortunately they didn’t have it in this specific location and ended up trying Khao Mun Kai, and Neur Yang. Authentic and outstandingly delicious sauces on side, love that ginger sauce a lot. Hoped
Zaab Burgers were also available in this location.
Excellent service and good ambience with quirky, cool wall designs and presentations ranging from chicken to Thai tuk tuk!! A sincere effort is palpable to bring out not only Isan Thai food but also its culture.
Shout out to the team!!
Good thing that this restaurant is located inside the mall. Many people have more options of food and also no choice. The food is average and the service is suck. We were there in 7/14 Sunday around 2-4pm. The waitress is very bad attitude and also took order and gave us our food like we beg her for food. Excuse me! You better work somewhere else if you don’t like to work there. This is not my second time encountered this with her. Hope to see someone else but end up it’s her again. You, the owner, you should have a better waitress to deliver better service to your customers.
6/25/2024: Ordered and enjoyed both steamed and fried whole fish. Highly recommended. Crab fried rice and Pad Thai also our favorites.
5/22/2024: Another great meal, ordered our favorites: Steamed Branzino whole fish, Pad Thai chicken, crab fried rice, and our new favorites Grilled Chicken and Kapow Fries.
12/15/2023. They shortened their menu, cumin salt baked fish is gone unfortunately. However, ordered all 3 of their Specialty dishes (steamed branzino, river prawns, and Crying tiger steak) and it was another magnificent meal. Highly recommend all 3 dishes.
11/12/2023. Went back and ordered their signature cumin salt baked whole fish, and it was amazing. Something you would order at a Thai beach restaurant: fresh fish with lettuce wrap, rice noodles, fresh herbs and two sauces on the side. The papaya salad and Drunken noodle dishes were also excellent. We will be regular customers. Left feeling full and satisfied.
******
Excellent steamed whole fish (they had a fresh branzino) and also Pad Thai noodles.
Small place in Tangram food court, but good service and little to no wait. We will be back.
Embark on a culinary journey to Thailand without leaving the comfort of Tangram Mall at this exceptional Thai food restaurant that promises an exquisite dining experience. Nestled within the bustling mall, this hidden gem offers a treasure trove of authentic flavors that will transport you to the vibrant streets of Thailand with every bite.
One of the standout dishes on the menu is the Kao Pad Pu, a fragrant and delectable crab fried rice that is a true masterpiece of Thai cuisine. Each grain of rice is infused with the rich flavors of crab meat, eggs, and a medley of aromatic herbs and spices, creating a dish that is both comforting and full of depth.
For a taste of classic Thai comfort food, look no further than the Thai chicken rice. Tender slices of succulent chicken sit atop a mound of fragrant jasmine rice, accompanied by a side of flavorful dipping sauce that adds an extra layer of umami goodness to the dish.
And no Thai meal is complete without a steaming hot pot of Tom Yum Goong. This iconic spicy and sour soup is a symphony of flavors, featuring plump shrimp, fragrant lemongrass, tangy lime, and fiery chilies that come together in a tantalizing broth that warms you to the core.
Overall, this Thai food restaurant inside Tangram Mall is a true culinary gem that delights the senses with its authentic flavors and inviting ambiance. Whether you're indulging in the Kao Pad Pu, Thai chicken rice, or the comforting Tom Yum Goong hot pot, you're guaranteed a dining experience that is nothing short of exceptional.
I’m seem authentic but not sure if is the soup that is a bit sour or that is the style. Definitely not the one I have been eating. I suggest pye boat noodle in Astoria if you’re looking.
The pad see ew noodle was also too soggy. Overall was just not very good and very pricey. I can think of a few places on top of my head if you want great Thai food but def not here
This was my second time.
Food was average but the service was awful.

I love their sticky rice and duck dish.
The wait time was very long for a small portion of beef krapow. The dish had excessive amounts of oil and no flavor that this dish usually has. Also very expensive for what it is. I would not recommend.
点了个pad thai 真的有够难吃… 从没见过用细米粉炒的 有够黏糊 价格还贵 吃一口就扔了
Food portion is small and expensive . Krapow for $15 very small.
If you're looking for Tom Yum, stay away from this place. It tastes ok but it's not Tom Yum. Zaab Zaab fries are very greasy. The decor is decent.

点他们的船面,里面的肉是这样的,味道也不好吃,点单的工作人员态度也很差,把餐拿给我的时候,差点撒了,我要放在他们台面调整一下,她扶着她的menu,让我小心一点。
We were seated quickly and our order was taken on the spot. We ordered the Tom Yum seafood noodle soup and a Thai milk tea with grass jelly. The meal portion was sufficient and the food was tasty.and reasonable.
I was intrigued by the cool decorations and their food looked pretty good when I walked by in the mall so I decided to give it a try. I ordered one of their hot pot dishes and it didn’t taste very Thai or good. It could serve two people. The lady working was also rushing us out so she can clean the table.
Ordered the beef boat noodle which is Nom Tok noodle and this doesn’t look or taste like normal beef boat noodle from Thai restaurant. Will not order again. Tried the beef boat noodle from Klorm Kloarm from Williamsburg last night and it was the bomb! Can’t get lucky twice in a roll I guess.
Good food. Nice spot to bring some friends after school
This place is inside the Tangram Food court in Flushing. Hey have seatings inside their booth. It's the only authentic Thai place in flushing. Unfortunately all the other ones have left.
The food was very authentic and spicy. We came here for dinner. Portions were good and we didn't finish all our food.
Service was very good. They were always on point, filled our water whenever we needed it and checked on us without distracting us from our food.
We sat inside their little seating area and it was nice and cozy.
Definitely recommend trying this place. Authentic food, good prices and overall really nice experience.
Recommend to try these:
Crab fried rice - nice flavor, good amount of crab and decent portion.
laab - a little bit spicy, but not too spicy... as it should be.
seafood tom yum hotpot. Spicy and nice tom yum flavor
I’m not a picky eater by any means but the laab I ordered was completely inedible. Drenched in so much fish sauce that even the smallest bite was an overwhelming salt bomb. Unsalvageable and had to throw the whole dish away.
Very good foods and excellent service
Mediocre food at a high price point. FYI that menu prices are not updated and they tried charging us $1-4 more per dish until I brought it up. Poor service (limited staffing?). Overall, there are much better Thai places in the area.
Edit: didn’t have half the things we ordered (no thick noodles or mango sticky rice). No info on menu price updates or unavailability of dishes were shared with us.
Was literally served raw pork sausage. She agreed to take it back to the kitchen but try to charge me for it without me knowing.
Awful service tried to make me feel like I was the one that was in the wrong. The pink light made it hard to see the raw meat.
Hope I don't get sick.
Flavor sucks
Broooo so I ordered the curry crab and is tasted really bad and smell weird and that food cost me 25 bucks 🫠🫠
The smallest portion of pad see ew that I’ve ever seen for $19, truly an appetizer size. The sausage fried rice was tasteless. Would skip this place
We ordered four dishes. Salad was too spicy and very small portion. Rice need to be ordered separately. Curry chicken does not have any curry flavor. Pad See Ew is way too sweet and has very little rice noodle in it.The only dish that has a reasonable flavor is the minced beef with fried egg.
Authentic Thai food
There's an interior seating area so you're a little away from the flow of food court traffic. The decor is lovely, and the food came quick. It was delicious and I found the prices fair for the area.
Small place inside of Tangram food court area with exotic cozy vibe. Service is good, nice people with nice smile. The food we ordered are delicious except the raw shrimp green papaya salad. I guess I can't eat that extreme sour flavor with raw shrimps, the combination makes me feel I was drinking sour sea water. Grilled rib eye and pad Thai are superb! Those two are must try items! I definitely will go back to try other dishes!
I love spicy Thai food
It was a nice and warm restaurant, and the food was excellent
Taste below average, It’s been charged $3 ? side of rice. ?!

Pad Se Ewe $22.95 - Comes with pork collar, bacon, sweet soy sauce
-This dish was very good, probably one of the best pad se ewes I’ve ever eaten. You don’t get to choose your protein, it’s prefixed. Is that a good or bad thing?? It’s mainly pork.. You can taste a lot of the wok flavor in the dish. It wasn’t overly sweet, it was just right. The noodles were so fat, like you’re eating a slice of lasagna, and I’m not mad about that at all. The veggies weren’t over cooked, still had some crisp to it…
Prawn Pad Thai $22.95
-It came with 3 prawns, decent sized, but only 3, since the dish isn’t big to begin with. It was cooked perfectly, had the bouncy texture. The noodles were chewy. It was a little clumped/sticking together though. They put a lot of the fried tofu. Overall, it was a very good dish…
.
NGL - It’s the most expensive and smallest portions of noodles I’ve ever had at a Thai restaurant. I was a little taken aback when the dishes came out. Hey, I’m not looking for a buffet platter, but I would have expected a bit more for the price. It’s expensive for Flushing IMO. It was over $50 for 2 people for 2 dishes…
.
We didn’t het to try their more traditional Thai dishes, but I have heard from people who have, they all day their dishes are good..
.
They have a dine-in and take-out menu. The take-out menu is very limited though.
The best service ever
There’s so much to look at and experience inside the Food Hall in Tangram but among all the neon and bright lights lies the latest addition to the Zaab Zaab lineup. A clear indication that Isaan cuisine continues to grow in popularity.
I love the flavors of the northeastern part of Thailand. Punchier and tart but balanced. Started with the Moo Ping which are grilled marinated pork skewers. Comes with a delicious sauce and after one bite I was in grilled pork heaven. I could eat those for every meal. Followed that up with the Neur Yang, sometimes called Tiger Cry. Grilled marinated ribeye served with 2 sauces. One spicy and smoky and the other bitter and salty. Really delicious. Ended with some mango and sticky rice. Could not be any better. So good.
Seating is limited since it’s in the food hall but very happy there were tables at all versus having to find a seat at the shared community tables.
I was extremely satisfied after this meal. Every dish tasted truly authentic and really well done. Highly recommended!
