WOW. Simply. Delicious... I cannot begin to describe how wonderful this restaurant is. Truly a hidden gem, I wouldn't have expected anything amazing if I hadn't read the reviews first. I would travel to eat here.

When you first walk in it seems like any other restaurant yet I could immediately tell that everyone who worked there took great care and pride in the whole experience. It felt comfortable and laid back yet had an air of fine dining. The music was classy classical and everything was done with great care. Everyone moved with such grace and were so courteous you would think you were dining in a royal court. We were served by the chef since we had arrived in-between main meal times and he beamed as we showered the food with compliments when checked on.

Everything we ordered was fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious. Based on the recommendations of others' reviews we tried the crispy shrimp rolls with sweet & sour sauce(truly yummy), chicken tom yum soup(perfect & can't wait to try the shrimp), beef masaman curry(I'd drink the curry it was so delish), and Evil jungle (subbing squid for the tofu, great move!).

The dishes were all delicious with generous portions as well. For the price I'd say even dinner is doable on a tight budget. I would recommend "2 peppers" heat level as this was perfect. I have to note that the squid was THE BEST SQUID I HAVE EVER HAD! I'm sure that everything they make is just as amazing. They also offer takeout yet I would go eat there just to see the chef's smiling face :)

Truly an amazing experience. Staff was very nice and polite, but the food was outstanding!! Highly recommend the Som Dom and #29 Chicken dish. Great heat and an amazing flavor!

Food is fantastic❗Very friendly servers, who are extremely kid friendly. This is very rare.... They actually do treat their customers as private guests. They interact with children just as you would expect at someone's home. So it truly is a homely atmosphere! The Curry's and soups are very well made! Great job I recommend this restaurant 💯 %

Main dishes had good flavour, was not impressed with the fresh spring rolls, they were very small. Shumai was alright, definitely nothing special.

This food is seriously the BEST. So much flavor and the portions are great! We ordered and within 5 minutes our food was out and the owners were so nice and awesome. The inside of the restaurant is also pretty cool. Overall, I love this place!!

And got two dinners with chicken should have given me two rice things of one large one. And the dinners should be pack to the lid and one of the chicken pieces was rubbery. Nothing like K and i , I will not spent my hard working money at this place again.

Wonderful place that has been in existence almost a quarter century. The food is more chinese-based in recent years, but the vibe is still the same. Could add more Thai herbs to the dishes, to make it more Thai-styled taste.

The service was amazing, and they are very kind people. The food was also delicous. We have eaten there multiple times and every time we have been impressed. The place is really nice as well. We ordered the shrimp with broccoli, cashew shrimp, spicy chicken, garlic shrimp, and pad thai shrimp.

Came to town for one night from Buffalo. Decided to check this place out. I’m picky about Thai food. We got the beef pad Thai. Level 5 spice. Very flavorful, spicy and delcious. Spring rolls were very good as well. I am a huge fan of spice and hot sauce so I also tried the 3 different homemade hot sauces on the side and they were very flavorful and good. Had a nice kick to them. The service was fast and the staff was very nice. Reasonably priced as well. I would return here on my next visit and recommend this resturant.

This was our go-to lunch place when I worked in East Rochester 5 years ago. We had a retirement party for a co-worker on Saturday. The appetizers and food were just as amazing as I remember, I especially recommend the "Evil Jungle" with beef, my favorite dish from here. The staff was very attentive and perfectly handled splitting checks for 11 people, with some paying for other people's meals, some paying for the appetizers, etc. They even remembered our orders from back then(!) and told us what they are now on the new dinner menu. (they are no longer open for lunch) I had to get some Evil Jungle to-go because there is no Thai food this good anywhere near home. The beverage selection is slim but sufficient. Singha is not an amazing beer by any means, but it pairs very well with the Thai food selection; most of our group ordered Mai-Tais which they said were also very good. Highly recommend!

Terrific Thai food. Probably the best Thai food in Rochester. We enjoyed the pad Thai and pannang curry. It was all delicious. Friendly staff and a typical Thai atmosphere.

Update:after years of going here I found a magot in my food. Don't think we will be eating here anymore, so disappointed

I love this place!!! Once you have a taste of it you will always want to come back! Their pad Thai is the best in Rochester hands down!!!! Only complaint I have is you have to wait till 4 to eat here. Which is what I’m doing now waiting to take my girlfriend on a date here. Other than that keep up the good work

The food is good although a little bit more expensive than other restaurants I’ve been to in Rochester. Massaman curry served with rice was $17, spicy lemon chicken with rice $16.00, mango shake $4.0, mango sticky rice $5.0. Servings are small to medium size. Service is quick but maybe a little too quick as my plate was taken away without asking if I was already done and I wasn’t. The actual restaurant is big with lots of tables. It is clean but a little bit too dark for my taste. The place has ample parking space but is located near the intersection so exiting can be tricky due to the constant traffic.

Amazing food.

We had the Gaeng Keow Wan Veggie (green curry) and Tom Ka Veggie, both of which had a lot of vegetables but were nothing special in terms of flavor (if we rate the best Thai food we've ever had as a 10, Pattaya's food rates about 6).

I love trying Green curry from various Thai spots. I was traveling, and I wanted to give this place a try. Got my green curry, and the sauce was white. They must have ran out of green curry paste, or the people in town doesn’t order this dish. The eggplants were raw, which has a terrible texture and bitterness when raw. I mentioned this and they wanted to throw the dish back on the stove, which would have overcooked the other ingredients, so I declined. She’s comes back and starts to dig in my food with a spoon to take out the eggplants while I’m eating. Who does this?? Such disrespect to the customer. I normally would have flipped out, but decided to not cause a scene. Lost my appetite and didn’t even finish my beer. I’m not sure how they have such good reviews, but one of the worst experiences I had.

Edit to previous review: they have new chicken that is absolutely disgusting. It's dry and tasteless like cardboard. The beef and the sauces r still delicious. But it doesn't cover up the bad chicken taste lol. Everything else is wonderful. Great apps. Just don't get the chicken.

One word... DELICIOUS!!! Everything I've tried here tastes absolutely incredible! I just found this place a few weeks ago and my husband and I cant stop eating their food! The Chicken Pad Thai is soooo good, the Chicken Pad Ped and Beef Gang Massamum are full of the creamiest coconuty curry goodness Ive ever had! I recommend the crispy cream cheese filled Crab Ragoons (they are so much better than those soggy ones you get with the gross red jelly dipping sauce at so many chinese food take out places, Pattayas dipping sauce is home made, flavorful goodness!) and Beef Satay appetizers as well.. mouth wateringly amazing! I promise you will love every succulent morsel that touches your lips! The food is always hot and fresh, the service is always friendly and efficient. I love this place! I plan on trying everything they have on their menu!

The Mee Krob appetizer is spectacular! Crispy sweet-savory rice noodles in lettuce wraps. So crunchy and delicious. There are lots of vegan options here. I had the Panang Veggie. The sauce was creamy and flavorful (could have been spicier) and the veggies cooked just right.

I recommend the sea bass, so good. And the vegetable spring rolls with hoisin sauce also. If you're coming here on a Saturday night, they do close at 8pm

Got the Chicken Pad Thai to go. It was decent but not great. I go there because it's the closest Thai restaurant. Would probably not dine in as it's not the best atmosphere but will continue to get take out occasionally. Take out service is not overly friendly-can't speak as to how service in house is.

We've been getting take out for many years now and have had a positive experience the vast majority of the time. Food is good quality, the young help have perfect English making ordering very smooth. Nice kids as well, very friendly and respectful. They've messed up the order a little only about one in twenty times at most. ONE request: they don't really have any peanut sauce dishes? I wish they had those!

Went in yesterday for my boyfriends birthday. It was our first visit.
I made a reservation using google reservations and it was seamless. Was a bit concerned since they don't confirm until they open (obviously) and I had made a last minute reservation, but had conformation of my reservation by about 330 (for a 630 reservation - they open at 4).

Immediately greeted with a smile and seated.

Service was quick and friendly.
Ordered crab rangoon & Beef Satay for an appetizer. Both were fantastic. The rangoon was better than I've ever had anywhere else (a little different but leaps and bounds better).
Beef Satay was flavorful, tender, and delicious.
My boyfriend grew up eating satay (family from Indonesia) and said it was just like what he would eat growing up.

We ordered chicken pad thai for main course and this was delicious as well. Service was quick.

For desert we had Fried Banana with Coconut Glaze Topped with Sesame Seed.
This was out of this world. The batter they used to fry the banana's was amazing. It came out crispy on the outside but extremely delicate and soft on the inside, bananas were delicious and the glaze was perfect. Well balanced desert that wasn't overly sweet.

I highly recommend giving Pattaya Thai a try. You won't be disappointed.

We had a very enjoyable family dinner here. They have a kids meal on the menu - chicken satay, a spring roll, and noodles (or rice). My two toddlers (one who is pretty picky) each ate a whole meal and we ordered more which they also ate! The calm environment encouraged the kids to be (mostly) calm as well. They liked looking at the colorful artwork. My favorite Thai dish is Panang curry and this one was just right for my tastes - medium spice and lots of flavor.

Three star because food was good but waitress ask tip on your face, Now a days after covid everything is expensive specially restaurants where they used to sell basil fried rice for 9 dollars now its 15 dollars, All restaurants worker getting minimum 15 dollar an hour and average 15 to 20 dollars tip an hour so they are making almost 30 dollar an hour, Now people who make 20 dollar an hour who are not tip worker how can afford to pay tip on top of double the price menu,

Waitress was so rude and said if you can't pay tip stay home.

The people who work are are very nice and attentive. The curry was great!

Food is excellent and service too. Food portion is enough to fill you up. Nobody in our party had leftovers because we enjoyed it so much. Atmosphere is quiet but feels a little dreary.

My wife noticed this small restaurant as we drove thru Penfield and said we should try it. So we gave it a go for dinner. This place is settled in the nice area of Penfield. It has thier own parking, which is always convenient. As we went in the place looked bigger inside than outside. It looked very clean and neat. The server took us to our table and we were presented with menus. We looked over the menus and they had a very good assortment. On their first page, they had their entrees or I would say house specialties. I decided to try one of the house specialties which was the Drunken Noodles with chicken and as an appetizer had the crab Rangoon. My wife had the Panang Chicken. We also ordered Thai tea for beverages. We first received our Thai teas and they were delicious. I quickly received my Rangoon after. It came with a sweet sauce. Not sure if it was a duck style of sauce, but it was tasty and went well with the Rangoon. Soon after we had received our dinners. The portions were moderate and just enough for me, but my wife would take a little of hers home at the end. My dish was very tasty and had just enough chicken to noodles ratio. I found it very good. I tried my wife's Panang chicken and it was very good as well. She enjoyed it as well. Overall, the service was very good as well as the food. The reason for the 4 stars it was a little pricey for the portion served. But hey, some people don't mind what they spend as long as the service and food are good. I would say check it out for sure if you're into Thai cuisine.

This is a fantastic Thai restaurant with good ambient music and a friendly waitstaff! Food is delicious and menu items are plentiful. This restaurant is close to the Courtyards by Marriott in Penfield, where I stayed for business travel. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I've been eating here since 93ish. Great food! If you care more about your surroundings than the food then this is not the place for you. For me, the food is what's important. The lady who cooks most of the time actually took the time to teach me how to prepare a certain dish. Of course, unless your making your own Curry paste like her, it won't turn out as good. Been to Thai restaurants all over the west coast and Hawaii, nothing compares.

Excellent Thai food, I use to order from here for lunch every so often with the rest of my office. When I ask for 3/5 star spicy, I'm not disappointed. That being said they are no longer open for lunch unfortunately.

Friendly, fast service, tasty food. My friend and I got to talking, and were still there, 30 minutes after closing. We weren't kicked out, or rushed at all. Great overall experience.

We ordered the Thai Fried Rice, Tsunami Chicken and Baby Clam in Thai chili paste. Instead of being spicy, all three dishes were made too sweet bordering on cloying. Entrees tasted like dessert and really disappointed us. Not to mention the rude hostess.

You would have to be in Pattaya Thailand to find better Thai food. The service and quality are excellent.

The most important thing you need to know about Pattaya is freshness. This is the first thing I noticed when had their food. Clean and serviced by experts, all that left for you is to enjoy.

Pattaya is easily the best Thai food in the Rochester NY area. Every time I have eaten their food it has been a wonderful experience. The evil jungle shrimp is cooked to perfection, and the portion size is very filling.

The wait staff was wonderful, attentive, and polite. Our waiter continuously checked up on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal and filled our water whenever he noticed it was low without us having to ask once.

The restaurant's decor is lovely, and the tables and chairs are spaced out far enough to wear you won't feel crowded and there is plenty of parking in the back.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for Thai cuisine.

Best Thai around. I go here a few times a month me and my whole family love this place. Ingredients are so fresh l. My staples are the beef satay(on a stick with an amazing peanut sauce). Steamed pork dumplings I could eat two orders myself. And either the pad Thai chicken or the sesame beef. Whatever you get here tho to can’t go wrong. Ps have to get the fresh fruit banana strawberry smoothie with rum in it!!
