Though this place is more of a grab and go spot, the food leans a bit on the sweeter side but is still enjoyable. The prices are reasonable, the space is cozy, and the customer service is excellent.

Diner Review №3

This is an amazing shot of Thai-style Moo Kra Tha! The sizzling grill on top with tender slices of meat getting a beautiful char, while the broth below soaks up all the delicious flavors—this is exactly what makes Moo Kra Tha such a comforting and social dining experience.

The way the steam rises, the golden sunlight hitting the stretchy noodles, and the overall cozy, street-side vibe make this meal look even more mouthwatering. It’s the perfect mix of Thai barbecue and hot pot, where you get the best of both worlds—grilled goodness and rich, flavorful soup.

Diner Review №4

I like when the elder man(owner) is there. He is legit genuine Thai food that I cannot get anywhere. He gives a consistent and good portion with real meat and excellent quality. When another chef is there, the meatless meat is plain fat only 2 pieces, barely soup in my noodles. and the large size become their small size noodle and they claim that’s how it comes…. The fish balls were over dried and fried. When owner is not there, it is very different.

Diner Review №5

Looking for authentic soup dishes from Thailand? Well. This is the spot. Super yummy just like the streets of thailand.i recommend

We discovered this little gem in September last year, and now we come here often. It’s my go-to spot for me and my friends. The menu offers a wide range, from basic Thai food like noodles to more hardcore dishes like Tom Zab Hot Pot. As a Thai person, I’m very happy to vouch that this restaurant gives me a true taste of Thailand, and the food here reminds me so much of the good food back home.

quickly stopped by for a drink and the mango smoothie was so good! the owner was kind and seeing the blind boxes was also a cute surprise :D

Diner Review №12

Very delicious food. Their staffs are friendly and they are dog friendly. Let me feel more comfortable and enjoy my meal with my doggie.

Diner Review №13

The food is amazing….real authentic taste we’ve had boat noodle and Tom yam noodle in different places but this is by far the best for us. Always keep coming back to this place after many years. One of the top 3 in our list.

The food was amazing, my wife is thai and she was looking for a local Thai restaurant and we walked around and found this nice cozy restaurant, the food and service were so good. We will definitely be coming back

I’m a fan of this corner cafe. It’s right in the heart of Little Thailand and they have sweet and savory dishes to try. I had Thai hotpot for the first time here and it was much different than the hotpot I’m used to eating, but I liked it. It was much more intense in flavor with more notes of acidity. They also have an amazing duck noodle soup and the boat noodles that I’d recommend. The dessert option is great too, I didn’t know what to expect from the Rooty Tooty but it was perfectly sweet. The staff here were super nice as well, we definitely felt welcomed here!

Diner Review №19

Diner Review №20

Love the Thai bbq hotpot, so gooooooooood

Diner Review №21

Listen we only come here for the Rooty Tooty dessert but it is so fabulous, need to come for the rest of the menu too!!

Diner Review №22

Great spot for thai food. The staff is really nice and friendly. I was there for two nights in row. Hot pot and Thai bbq are the best.

Diner Review №23

Very nice staff, clean + peaceful atmosphere, wonderful and polite service. I highly recommend the bubble tea that they have (there’re two options: slushy bubble tea and regular bubble tea; both with bubble included). The price is also very reasonable because it would cost more to get the same bubble tea options elsewhere.

Diner Review №24

Interesting combination menu!! If you like to have fun trying Thai street foods, try them all. Irresistable dessert and slush drinks!

Diner Review №25

Great place for thai bbq

Diner Review №26

such a nice date night experience! thank you!

Diner Review №27

Hands down some of the best soups in the city and the best restaurant in Little Thailand! Amazing service with attentive staff. Atmosphere is calm and relaxing with comfortable outdoor and indoor seating. The duck soup, larb tuna, and Thai bbq are huge highlights plus BYOB. A must in Little Thailand

THE BOAT NOODLES HERE !!!! Are to die for. Next door is popular and good but Tea Cup is also amazing & better in my opinion. I’ve tried other things like BBQ / dessert and they were fine … but come here and order the boat noodles!!! So beefy, earthy, hearty. Perfect balance of flavors.

Diner Review №33

Diner Review №34

Delicious Yen-Ta-Fo Noodles and fried fish balls. I went to this restaurant so many time and food is always the same quality. Easy and friendly vibes all over the place. Nice service and super casual. You will see a lot of Thai people hanging out around.

Diner Review №35

Extremely savory noodle soups, but wait, save room for some pandan and toast, with a Thai iced tea shaved ice to match. Life changing!

Diner Review №36

I like their shaved ice with many ingredients. the toast dessert is also tasty. The staff is friendly. The cafe doesn't have much space and is not very clean.

Diner Review №37

Diner Review №38

Great service, great food. Got the nam tok noodle, and in general if you cant handle spicy, please let them know to adjust it!

Diner Review №40

My favorite drink is durian slush

Diner Review №41

Everything was so good honestly would be back anytime!!

Diner Review №42

Another wonderful place to eat and relax in Elmhurst! The pork blood soup was the best I've had since Chiang Mai and the pandan custard bread tasted absolutely amazing. I've been having dreams about it now 555555 They make a nice durian smoothie too.

The staff are SUPER friendly and welcoming. This is becoming one of my new favorite places. ขอบคุณมากครับ ❤️🇹🇭

Diner Review №43

Friendly, fast service. I had a Vietnamese iced coffee, but no food. They do have a full menu. I liked it, because it felt like a visit to SE Asia.

Diner Review №44

Diner Review №45

Nice place to enjoy Thai street food . I would recommend a set of Thai BBQ. And all kind of dessert is what I could die for🤩

Diner Review №46

The food looks good but honestly it doesn’t have a good flavor, to be Thai kind of disappointing and doesn’t worth the price either.
I didn’t like the restaurant, looks dirty and messy 👎🏾

Diner Review №47

Great spot for some Thai food, the restaurant is small so there isn’t a lot of seat and a bit run down. However, the food is delicious, the staff is sweet and friendly plus the dessert is good too. The restaurant is cash only but they also take Venmo.

Diner Review №48

Diner Review №49

Really friendly server. The dessert came out quickly, it was huge, and tasted fine.

Diner Review №50

Soo yummy!! I got the pork BBQ and it comes with veggies to cook in a broth along the grill. Highly recommend you come try it out.

Fun place, cute,fast service..
Love duck noodle here, but when I came ,they always ran out, so please make more then.....I will try duck noodle again next time.

Diner Review №55

Their pandan toast is amazing. I haven't had other items from their menu but love to stop by whenever I can to get the pandan toast.

Diner Review №56

Good spot for Thai BBQ and noodles. Very reasonable price. Owner is very friendly. I love their coconut smoothie 😋

Diner Review №57

Love the toast with pandan, kinda like kaya toast but with a dip instead of a spread. Cash only.

Coming all the way from Pittsburgh to queens NY for this restaurant and it is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!!! Appetizers, foods, beverages, and desserts are fabulous. Great service great staffs. ❤️

Diner Review №62

Good food

Diner Review №63

Update: 08/22 (see the noodle soup in a red bowl) quality of their boat noodle soup went down. The broth was way too sweet and there was not much flavor beside that there was no herbal smell too. There were very small amounts of meat, the meat I received wasn't even meat in it just a big chunk of fat. I also got 2 half-cut fish balls. The portion also got smaller.

05/22 One of my favorite Thai restaurants. Always come here for their boat noodle soup. They are very generous with their ingredients. I really really really like their bread with kaya (pandan). Other restaurants would just steam the bread but this place put extra time and effort in cutting the bread, toasted, and making sure that it is slightly crispy, and I'm very satisfied with it.
Not a big fan of their minced chicken salad tho, it was very watery and the flavor wasn't in the chicken.
The staff were very friendly as well, I felt very welcomed throughout the dine in.

Diner Review №65

My first time in NY and this my second time to have boat noodles. And I would said this s great boat noodle ever since I have had in the US and the price just $12 with crispy pork skin which s so good. Love it and I would come back again for boat noodles

Diner Review №66

Even though it was a hot night, the Nam Tok noodles definitely hit the spot! Also has a extensive menu for bubble teas, shaved ice and Rooty Tooty; a mountain of flavored shaved ice with bread and corn flakes. The Ovaltine Rooty Rooty comes recommended.

Great spot and busy for a reason. Will come back again!

Diner Review №67

Went back so many times for the BBQ pot

Diner Review №68

Diner Review №69

Had a couple of appetizers.
the chive cakes, deep fried, are absolutely delicious. Even after carrying them 20 minutes home.
Will have more and try another next time.
And very nice and polite staff.
Lovely people, the Thais.

Best Thai desserts in town !
Excellent soup choices for the cold winters in NYC. Also BYOB !

Diner Review №77

Rude and impatient staff, $10 minimum spend per person, and a very mediocre dessert. I was initially craving thai desserts so much but it was rather disappointing. You might as well get the desserts from the thai market on Broadway.

Diner Review №78

They make good noodle menu. There are hot pot and the other alacarte. My favorite is duck noodle but many times they haven't shopped the meat in advance. It made me disappointed when I was there but it was not available.

We saw a post on Facebook’s Queens foodie group recommending shaved ice from Tea Cup Cafe. We were craving for refreshing dessert after our dinner, so we decided to give it a try.

The decor is humble and the space is kind of tiny, but the reason is they stacked lots of boxes in the indoor dining area. It looked really messy and the maintenance was bad.

We had their Rooty Tooty Ovaltine, which is their signature shaved ice bowl with lots of topping and Thai Coffee. The food was decent and we love the shaved ice bowl so much. We would give 4-star review for the food only.

However, the staff was rude and impatient. There are two more concerns that we won’t visit again, one is they take cash only and another is the $10 minimum spending for each customer.

Diner Review №86

The staff is terrible to customers .when I eaten Tom yum noodle soup after next day morning I was my stomachache I think because of the chili or I don't know . And also I eaten Nam Tok after I feel so dizzy and vomit I don't know why?🤮 Employees are so rude I will never go again! 👎

Worst customer service i ever experienced, the water guy was so rude i dont know who hired him at the first he has 0 experience of customer service

Diner Review №94

My friends and I went here for desserts recently. Had we known there was a $10 minimum per person we would’ve gone somewhere else. The sign for that is also only displayed once you enter and sit down. After taking our seats and looking at the menu, the male employee came and asked us if we were ready and we said we needed some time. He kept rushing us to get our orders and when we did order he kept tending to other guests and then coming back to get our orders. When asked about what kind of toppings were in a dish, he seemed annoyed and responded “just toppings.” We didn’t mind that and didn’t think much of it. However, when our order came, he literally just tossed the plate on the table in such a rude manner. After getting all our orders and finishing our desserts, we asked for our bill. Once the bill came, we paid and we were trying to finish our plates, but he came and told us we need to leave since other customers needed to come in. Mind you there was only one person on line and there were plenty of open seats. We were so shocked because it seemed that he was waiting for us to pay so he could kick us out. He honestly seemed like he hated his job and that negativity was being projected on the customers. Beware of the male employee with the buzz cut (was wearing black shirt and tan shorts). We came for desserts but left with a sour experience.

Diner Review №95

Must try. Hot pot! A herbal Thai style soup with pork, shrimp, cabbage and glass noodles. Refresh your day with fancy hot pot and iced green tea. And don’t forget to try a grilled bread with a pandan custard. Friendly service.

Diner Review №96

Crepe is great. Cozy setting.

Diner Review №97

Diner Review №98

Definitely do try their bubble tea its delicious! There restaurant is what you get if your in the country and finding a roadside place to eat! Very cute they are super nice! You can't beat there prices! Try them out! Dont know what to order? They will help you out! ❤

Diner Review №99

Lots of delicious desserts here. I found one called sun cake and it is amazing. The mini cheesecake sticks are delightful. Inexpensive. Tiny hole in the wall store so know what you want before you go in.

Diner Review №100

love their beef nom tok! but sometimes their broth is unconsistance taste.. they need to fix it. love their pandan bread ice shaved.

Diner Review №101

I have been a regular costumer for years in this place and always referred this place to my friends and family. Today I went there with my family including a child for an afternoon walk and the bill came out to be 9, had I known earlier tht the minimum was 10 dollars in order for us to sit outside their small table then I would’ve just opted for a large for both the drinks. The problem isn’t about the price of the drinks but how the owner of the place and staff were just disgusting towards us. Not even sitting there for 10mins and we were told to leave TWICE just because of the minimum required purchase which differed to ONE Dollar. They have lost their loyal customer for years now bc of this inconsiderate behavior. Just left all of us with a bad taste in our mouths.

-also this place only accepts cash not card-I had to walk to the bank for it and the least they could do is be considerate and let us sit for 10mins.

Diner Review №102

Wow! Long times that I hard to find the real test of Thai noodles style also Thai local dessert as well. Highly recommended to anyone who loves Thai food.

Love coming to this small cafe whenever I have a chance. It has many items to offer. To be honest, I'm surprise by numbers of items they have comparing to the size of the kitchen which it visible right in front of once you are inside this cafe.

The foods taste amazing. I never get disappointed no matter what I order. Love their Kai Zabb (crispy and spicy chicken) with rice. Thai spicy noodle soups are also spicy and yummy. It really wakes me up after a night of heavily binge drinking.

The desserts here are also lovely. My most favorite is toast that served with sweet pandan dip

The price here is also reasonable... Highly recommended

Diner Review №137

Nice and not too typical Thai food and favors. Order from the counter and grab your spot.

Diner Review №139

Diner Review №140

worst service with bad attitude.

Diner Review №141

My favorite thing here is the banana and chocolate boba. I think the best thing about the boba here is that they have various flavors and the balls are satisfyingly chewy.

They sell food as well as other desserts which I haven't tried yet.

The environment is semi spacious and in the summer they leave the doors and space open.

Me and my friends go here all the time for bubble tea . It’s a great place . The employees are nice , the cafe is rlly cute too with Polaroid pictures ❣️

Diner Review №153

A friend suggested this place to me and just by seeing these reviews is already not working for me. With all the rude staff members, atmosphere of the place and the quality of the food, I might not want to visit this place. There are multiple cafes around Queens that are better and thinks about their customers. These reviews are insane and the amount of likes too.

Diner Review №154

I look for new places 2go all the time. But with the reviews that I've read, I will not be going to this place. The food maybe ok but a smelly hot place with nasty rude employees is not ok👎🏿So I won't be going to this place!!!! The owner needs to make some changes (especially with those rude ass😖 employees) where as their reviews are better than 1 star! I'll pass.

Diner Review №155

Bubble tea and food was ok but the place smells horrible. The place doesn’t have any ventilations soo the smell just circulates the whole place. The smell stuck to my clothes afterwards.

Diner Review №156

I’ve been going to this cafe for a couple years now and it has became one of my favorite hangout spots. The owner practically knows me since I’m there frequently, however there was this new worker there that gave me attitude when I was just minding my own business for staying there for quite a long time. I understand there’s limited seats but there was barely any people there at that time. This worker was rude and told me to leave cause I’ve been staying here way too long (which was only for 1 hour) even when I ordered a drink and food. I was disappointed and left the place without hesitation.

Diner Review №157

My first time coming here I was greeted by a rude employee wanting me to order first before sitting down. Terrible customer service.

Diner Review №173

Was good once upon a time. Now it's just dirty smelly and hot with flies. It's not a cafe/desert place anymore. They make soups and noodle dishes. It it is very hot inside with no AC. The place reeks of fermented fish sauce and pork. It isn't pleasant at all especially if you want to enjoy a desert or coffee. I would not recommend this place as it's utterly gross. The staff is terrible. No smiles or friendliness at all. I can't see them staying in business very long.

Diner Review №174

Diner Review №175

This place used to be good for a good quick Thai dessert. We had been there multiple times. Now it seems they changed to a noodle, pork, fish and dessert place which when combined do not work . The place is too small to accommodate the type of menu. The place appeared dirty to me, and I saw some flies, the staff appeared frustrated and overwhelmed and uncaring to customers. NOW .The worse part, the SMELL..the smell of pork and fish were overpowering and we could not enjoy our desserts. Could not finish our desserts and had to throw out. WILL NOT GO BACK here again!!

Diner Review №176

This place is good to grab a few drinks like coffee and frappes. However, one of the workers here greeted us rudely, telling me to either buy something asap or leave. I always come in and settle down for a few minutes before ordering but ever since this experience, I don’t feel welcome in this place. Not recommended if you’re looking for a good customer service at place to eat.
