Thai Restaurant in Dallas featuring Street food that taste exactly as if you are in Thailand.
I always try to leave positive reviews when they are deserved. I have been to several Thai restaurants all over the country. I wanted to try this one out while in downtown Dallas. Based on reviews it looked great. I will say the flavor of the food is good. The portion size of the soup is very small for paying a total of $15+ (including tax). I included a picture with a key for size reference. You do not get rice on the side which I have always had at every other Thai restaurant with this dish. They did not ask for spice level either. The service was very cold and I even felt ignored. Not a great experience. I won’t be coming back.
Is the food delicious? Absolutely. Is the dog friendly patio perfectly shaded in the afternoon? Yup! The real five stars are for how welcoming Yuyee was to me and my pup! Get the fried taro root, it’s truly something special. Plenty of great vegetarian options, i went panang curry with tofu. Excited to come back and try the mango and sticky rice for dessert!
Does have an extensive menu for being such a small place. The pad see eiew (pork) had only a few pieces of the flat noodles :/ Flavor was OK. Thai tea was filled with LOTS of ice. Flavor was very good but too much ice. Overall, decent Thai place. I'll give em another chance when I'm back in town!
***If you cannot take positive criticism like other restaurant owners, might as well close. Very unprofessional to reply back and expose yourself to potential customers your true colors! All you can do is better yourself and your business. Good luck in your future endeavors, owners of Ka-Tip!
I’ve been here so many times. As a foodie, the taste is no doubt and close to authentic. This is why I always go there. The only reasons that I take done one star are the price and quantity. I understand the price need to be higher in downtown region and farmers market area, but the quantity need to give little bit more for people living Texas.
We live in California, where there are many Asians, and we have eaten what is considered authentic Thai food in Taiwan. This place really surprised us—it's incredibly delicious. We loved it from the first day, and every day thereafter, no matter how far, we made sure to schedule a meal here.Highly recommended!
This is my favorite restaurant in Dallas! My favorite dish is the pad see ew- I get it vegan with no egg. The ice cream is also amazing. Everyone here is kind, and the food is always delicious.

Loved the Khao moo ka tiem most, garlicky pork and rice. The Pad see eiew moo, Khao gai yang, Geng kyow wan gai, and gai satay. They have flat noodles, rice dishes, curry, meat kebabs. It was all good
Some of the best Thai you'll have outside AND inside Thailand. Everything is excellent. I love the Tom Yum Moo Deng
Average at best. Ordered in Uber eats. Definitely will be eating at my favorite spot Ly food Mart in cockrill hill. This was pretty plain and disappointing.
Good overpriced food. $22 for each entre and they charge a 15% “service fee” if you eat there. So meals for three, drinks, and one appetizer plus the fee plus tip was $99!
Ridiculous.
Rude cashier. Terrible service. Loud, obnoxious, etc.
Delicious examples of Thai food. Quality ingredients. Clean, intimate, elegant bamboo walled atmosphere. Ony 6 tables in the place. Nice helpful available staff.
Excellent!
Food good, but they slide a service fee in the bill. You don't see until after you already tipped.

Excellent Thai street food served right away hot fresh
Great small shop in the heart of Dallas. The food came out quick, the taste was fantastic, and everything was clean and neat. 10/10 would come again
It is so awesome 👌
Second time visiting.
Drinks are amazing
Food is awesome.
It's a little small
Amazing thai food. My partner and I love Thai cuisine and are always finding the best spot. Their dishes are flavorful and authentic. We had the pad thai, moo yang, cha thai, and pad kra pao. This is such a laid-back gem in Dallas Marketplace. Will definitely come back here again.
Delicious Thai food. The best we’ve ever had
Stopped by, and it did NOT disappoint. I had the pad Thai and it was so flavorful. The milk tea was great too! I’ll be back any chance I get!
classic authentic Thai food elevated to the next level 👏👏👏
Quick and the food was great!
Had the Thai fried rice with chicken. It was cooked well and fresh, but really lacked flavor. The dish could've used more seasoning/salt and spice. Also, the price is a bit steep for the portions.
Sticky rice is fantastic!
Super super good, wow 🤩

This place is nestled in a nook near the Farmer’s Market. You will have to search to find it. Really great Thai food.
Wonderful host with thoughtful explanations, great atmosphere and the music was a very enjoyable energetic kpop vibe. Food was some of the best Thai I've had

The best Thai food in Dallas!
Super expensive for portion size, did not get remotely full. We ordered the spicy pork salad, literally just came as seasoned meat, nothing else. No salad to the salad, just meat! Don’t call it a salad if there are no vegetables!

Very delicious and actually authentic!! High quality Thai Food. Do yourself a favor and learn what real Thai food tastes like.
The food is delicious, flavorful and authentic. Their menu offers the traditional Thai dishes you would find at any Thai place and then a few off the beaten path items that you don’t find elsewhere. We had several dishes with shrimp and they were large, high quality pieces deveined and with the tail on.
Their service is seriously lackluster and to the point of rude. I watched the girl behind the counter give a guy some togo boxes. She handed it to him in a haphazard way and they fell - she turned and walked away. We were still eating and she came and took my 85 year old mom’s plate away mid bite. We’re very conscientious diners and help stack plates when we’re finished but the server was abrupt and ill mannered. Maybe she doesn’t feel the need to be courteous since she only gets 15% service tip automatically added for counter service - that no one feels the need to add extra. We typically always give 20%. However, we didn’t add the extra 5%.
I would highly recommend ordering take out or delivery to avoid the impolite service here. They would probably be grateful for this as well.
I've had better Thai, but it was tasty enough. The service was wack. The chick taking orders definitely gave the impression she did not want to be at work today. Honestly, had the service been a bit better I would've possibly given it another try. But I care about the quality of the food and service. The food simply didn't hit enough to not get better service. The atmosphere is great!
I love everything about this place, great food, very friendly costumer’s service. Location too. Highly recommend.
The mango sticky rice is delicious!
We had Poh Pia (spring rolls) ***** $6.76, Gui Chai, Gui Chai (Crisp and Chewy Thai Fried Chive Cakes) **** $7.80, Mixed salads **** $5.20, Suki Hang (stir fry with tofu) ***** $15.60. Everything was good and they had some unique dishes compared to so many other Thai restaurants at which we've eaten over the years. Nice clean establishment with somewhat spartan decor. Friendly staff who accommodate vegan diners.
Got take out here and it was so good!
Great portions and I really appreciated them have spice on the side so we could control the levels.
The employees here are also super kind and friendly! Already thinking about my next order
I just stopped in at this Thai place. It's order at the window, then pay and asks would you like to add gratuity. I look at it and it was like was is this $3 more expensive before tip. Oh, it's because they automatically add 15% gratuity onto to EVERY meal, then ask for an additional tip. This is not a full service restaurant. It's even on a disposable plate! This is whata vegan $20 dish looks like. Bad business practices and the noodles were overcooked.
Food came out hot and fast. Really enjoyed the fried chicken wings and the Pad See Eiew Moo with pork was great
I was here 2 days ago and I wasn’t aware that they closed at 3PM. Nobody came to the table and tell us they were closing soon or anything. Next thing you know they turned the lights off on us. When we tried to get their attention, they acted like they couldn’t hear us and continued to scroll on their phone. I won’t be coming back here. Also, I’m not sure the chicken I ordered was actually chicken…
Good Thai food. Pretty close to what we get in Thailand on a daily basis. Actually, it’s better than a lot of what we get in Thailand, because of the quality of the ingredients that are available here. As far as Dallas goes, this is the most legit Thai food we have found here. It’s second to our favorite places in LA, but it’s honestly difficult to compete with Thai restaurants in LA.
Service was excellent. Atmosphere was nice.
We live most of the year in Thailand and a few months in OC, Ca, but if we lived here, this would be our go to Thai place a few times a week.
Highly recommend from a born & raised Thai and a farang chef that own restaurants in and around Bangkok.
Food lacks flavor unfortunately, I really wanted to like it. Not a great way to spend $86.
Quite small portion sizes, did not expect it to be this small. The staff member who brought the food was a little disoriented that she miscommunicated a couple of times. Not the friendly service that is usually seen in a (Thai) restaurant.
15% gratuity is automatically added for anyone who is dining in. Not recommended.
What a great spot for some authentic street food. Will be back soon to try some more dishes .
Best Thai food in DFW. We’ve been multiple times and tried a big variety and everything is consistently amazing. Very authentic food, friendly staff, and fair prices. Make sure to try the coconut ice cream dessert!
Food was fresh, great, and not salty. They offer spice here from a level of one to five. Additionally, I felt the food was fresh and not overpowering. Would try again and recommend to my friends and family.
The curry was pure grease for $20 a plate save your money go to thai thai. This is the best thai restaurant in the farmers market worse thai restaurant in Dallas
Amaizing food 🤤
Although it was a tiny space, the ambiance of this place exuded tranquility and serenity, while the delectable food left a lasting impression until the very last bite. If by chance you come across this hidden gem, make sure to secure a seat and savor every moment.
Delicious, chill vibe. Food came out super quick.
Delicious, hot and flavorful foods. Their Thai tea was phenomenal, great deep flavor. Get the Gai Satay, simple but yummy
Great service! Charming dine-in atmosphere! Great authentic flavors, Will be back!
Cool location, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, just really expensive. Also wish that for the price the portion size was bigger.
I've visited a couple of times and their food is always yummy! The staff is kind and attentive.
I have never eaten at a Thai restaurant like this. To start off, the cashier was worried about the phone ringing than the customers in front of her. Food wise? Worst after worst. The pad Thai could not be any worse. Once again, I have gone through multiple Thai restaurants in multiple cities in the US. This one is by far the worst. Crab fried rice? Signature dish of Thai cuisine? I was eating sticky rice instead. Terrible service. Terrible foods. Pricing? Off the roof. One appetizer. 2 entrees. $67. I agree this is not an outrageous amount for a small restaurant in Dallas but with the quality of foods and service? Save your wallet and go fine dining. You will be so much happier with the money you spend.
incredible flavor and wonderful service!
Great food wonderful atmosphere
Real real good
Overall superb experience. We decided to grab a quick lunch here while visiting Dallas. The environment is cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend the crab fried rice- it’s a great portion and rich in flavor. We had the Manao Anchan and the best Matcha tea- I was not disappointed at all👌🏻 Both were very refreshing. We sat on the patio, enjoyed the views and food, and received excellent service. Would definitely visit again.
It was delicious. I highly recommend the fried taro, the chicken with peanut sauce and a side of rice, and the dumplings.
Cute place and very clean , the food was really good and good vegan options .they also had mangoes on sale
The food was so good I came here twice in one weekend!!! My niece had been eyeing this place for awhile and I'm so glad she chose this place for her birthday dinner. I got the crab fried rice which comes spicy. The crab was perfectly cooked and the rice was amazing. They top it with scrambled eggs. I paired it with a glass of red wine. They have white wine and beer as well. My niece got the shrimp pad Thai and it was also really good!! She had the purple tea which was a little too sweet for me but she liked it. The second time I came I ordered the crab fried rice again (creature of habit here ). But I also got the dumplings which were delicious!!! You order at the front then get seated. It's a small location in the middle of downtown dallas near the farmers market. Very cute indoor seating. They have patio seating as well. Free parking is available in a nearby parking garage because who likes to actually park in downtown dallas. Not me! Will definitely hit this place up again!!!
Everything was incredible. Moo yang, dumplings, wontons, noodles all just very good. Service was also friendly.
BEWARE:
This place gave me food poisoning, it was the only thing I ate last Saturday so I know this place made me deathly sick for 1 week! Please reconsider before eating here!!!!!!
I asked for vegetarian green curry (their menu specifically says they can make it vegan) and when I got home I found little pieces of chicken in it so had to throw it away. The portion also filled up 1/3 of the container, not sure if that’s because they removed the chicken? I was excited to try this place but not coming back.

🍒WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: a hidden gem I found out through @eatwithalysa! A quick bite to have when walking around the Dallas Farmers Market.
🍒WHAT I ORDERED:
• Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut Soup)
• Knom Jeeb (Pork & Shrimp Dumplings)
🍒 PRICE: $21.11 + $3 tip
🍒 THE VIBE: casual open seating. Very clean which is something I definitely account for because I know it’s a lot of effort to keep a restaurant clean.
🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes.

Overall Rating: 10/10
- Definitely a solid and delicious Thai food place that you can just pop in at any time and grab a quick bite. One of the first things I noticed is that the restaurant was very organized and tidy, including the restroom!
- I’ve never had these two Thai dishes but wanted to try them and I was pleasantly surprised. The dumplings were scrumptious and I believe had water chestnuts so they had a slight crunch but the meat was the right amount of chewiness and the soy garlic sauce on the bottom of the dumplings was so flavorful.
- The coconut soup was amazing!!!! Not sweet at all and the coconut flavor was very subtle. I asked for a side of rice it usually doesn’t come with it but honestly the soup would’ve been even better without the rice because it takes away from the depth of flavor.
- I believe at this Thai restaurant you just adjust the spice level to your liking because there were 3 types of spice on each table you could add to your dishes. I decided to add some chili paste/oil and flakes to each of the dishes and it was perfect!
- Both of these dishes were made really well and felt like a warm hug eating them. You can tell this place pays attention to their food!
We visit there every time we go to farmer's market. One of the best thai food places in Dallas !
Great food and convenient location.
Very nice 👍
Amazing food! Also, great service! Definitely a gem of a place.
This is a cute, small, and cozy restaurant located near The Farmer's Market and close to Downtown Dallas. They have plenty of indoor seating and a nice patio area. The menu prices are reasonable. We were greeted by Yuyee and she also suggested several menu items. I suggest you ask about the spice level when ordering. She allowed us to sample the teas they offer. I really liked the vibe here and I'm glad I finally stopped in to try it. We also bought a couple of Thai snacks. I will definetly be coming back again. 😋
Fri 02/10/2023- Came back and we were immediately greeted by Yuyee😊 She talked with us a bit and she said this is a family owned business and they stay pretty busy on the weekends. I tried the Pad Thai and Yuyee asked Kim if she was ordering the same dish. I was surprised that she remembered us and our order from our last visit. That's awesome! Lunch was
delish and the portions were more than enough. Great Experience! I recommend you stop by and try it.👍👍
The food are very good, the curry is a bit too thick and a little salty for me, but in general very good. I like the way they serve here, very friendly and polite. The food come out fast and looks good.
Loved it! Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. Definitely going back!
Best Thai food in Dallas.
I love this place! I've eaten here 3 or 4 times and it never disappoints. The food is so flavorful and even a simple dish like chicken thighs and rice is transformed by their amazing sauces. It always hits the spot!
The best Thai I have ever had!! Amazing service and calm atmosphere
The service was great. However I clearly showed the cashier a picture of what I wanted, and I received a big deep fried egg on bean sprouts. My order came to over 50.00 and the food was absolutely disgusting! If I didn't live so far from this place I would have definitely went back for a immediate refund! Please check your food before leaving this establishment so your not scammed.
Best pad Thai I have ever eaten. It was fantastic - service was friendly and polite, restaurant was clean and welcoming, three thumbs up. Best Thai food in Texas.
Tried Ka-tip last night with a friend and we both loved the shrimp and crab fried rice dishes we ordered. What made our entrees stand out is that Ka-tip's food is made with a lot of love, skillful precision, and it has a great depth of flavor. In fact, dinner was so good last night, I'm already planning my next visit and am certain this is a restaurant that I will visit again and again.
I've been going here for years and I'm never disappointed. The pork shoulder and coconut pancakes are my favorite. This is worth the visit.
There's a reason why Ka-Tip was awarded the Best Thai Food in Dallas!
Best chicken satay I've ever had, but don't sleep on the grilled squid!
Hands down... BEST thai food in Dallas. Mucho authentico. Thai tea ice cream crushed it. Penang curry was killer.
Had the thai papaya salad and Grilled pork shoulder. Both were very fresh and flavorful. However, both were kinda chewy and gave our tooth a good workout. Considering the parking issues and the price, I'll stick to the suburbs (Plano/Richardson) for anything asian. Only recommend if you work in the area.
Tasty food, well prepared. Loved the veggie rolls!
I haven’t had too many of their dishes but pad Thai is usually a good indicator of how good a Thai place would be and tonight, that’s what I ordered. Their Pad Thai is one of the best in the city. I highly recommend it. I tried their green curry. It was very good but a little on the spicy side so, if you can’t handle spicy food, I’d let them know in advance.
It's my first time to eat an Thai food and it's good i like it especially the appetizer its perfect!
Great food and friendly staff.
The Tom Yum soup is sooo good. All the mushrooms! And their Matcha tea is so refreshing. Definitely recommend.
Yes amazing food!
Amazing food. Great service
Best Thai food in town
Good thai food and good service.
Food is phenomenal! They have the best dumplings I’ve ever had. I recently ordered takeout, and the dumplings were cold by the time I got home. A quick reheat in the microwave and they were still amazing! The wontons and grilled chicken thighs over rice are excellent as well!
Authentic Thai place
Ka-Tip is a good Thai option. The appetizers are bursting with flavor, especially the dumplings. The entrées are a slightly different story. Each is respectable and offers good flavor. However, they're not quite as well balanced or flavorful as the appetizers. You can find similar or better options throughout DFW. Uniquely, there is a nice little shop inside where you can find some Thai snack options. You should visit because you will enjoy your meal and your time here.
Nothing not to love about this place. The atmosphere, decor, service, quality and presentation of the food - all wonderful
Had my fair share of Thai food and rice recipes but this has far exceeded everything I've tried! The spicy basil chicken rice dish is one of the best meals I've ever eaten and I've eaten a variety of different foods! Had the perfect amount of spice and flavor, was hooked on the first bite. The staff was also very kind and the restaurant has a great vibe to it. I'm gonna be dreaming of that savory goodness until I come back to try the mango sticky rice. Most definitely recommend trying this place out!
The Pad Thai and the spicy basil chicken was delicious. The dumplings and Thai tea were great additions. Service was quick and polite. Will be back!
If you don’t understand thier food don’t go near it
It’s just gonna be like a waste of money
Pad thai was authentic and I had to get shrimp. I like shrimp but I woulda liked it better with chicken. It was okay....
Decent variation on Thai food with traditional options mixed in. If you're vegetarian, the menu is relatively limited. This also likely wouldn't get you full, more like a small lunch/ dinner (with expensive prices for how much you get). Food overall is ok, would recommend the peanut sauce and Thai tea. Kind and courteous service; the lady in front was very helpful with recommendations.
