Glin Thai Bistro has such a cozy vibe, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier! The cocktails are amazing—definitely try the Mile Away. It’s a mezcal drink that’s strong but super smooth, not too sweet. If you’re not in the mood for alcohol, the mango lemonade is super refreshing.

The food? Absolutely delicious. The mangosteen salad is a total game-changer, and it’s perfect with the crispy soft shell crab (though I wasn’t crazy about the dipping sauce). The portions are huge, so it’s great for sharing. The deep-fried fish, for example, is massive and seriously impressive.

The only downside is the location—it’s a bit out of the way in the Navy Yard. But honestly? Totally worth the trip!

Did a Google search for Thai restaurant and this place popped up. Saw the excellent rating and decided to dine for Brunch. We were not disappointed. Food was well-seasoned, flavorful and tasty. Would dine again. Definitely recommend. We had softshell crab and curry puffs ( a great way to start our meal). Then we had crispy duck in curry sauce, crab fried rice and the clay pot glass noodle dish.

This place is REALLY good, the food is really a tier above other Thai in Brooklyn. It is a strong 4 stars.

We were there for the happy hour and got 2 margaritas each. They were very good but predominantly ice lol. And then we got the chive pancakes as an app, these were particularly fantastic.

I got a vegan mushroom dish that when I ordered it was like “ahh am I gonna regret getting mushrooms for dinner.” But NO! It was sooo good. It has a red white type sauce that really sews all the flavors together. My boyfriend got a red curry that he absolutely adored - perfectly spicy and creamy and flavorful.

Overall, giving this 4 stars because even though the food was delightful, the experience felt incredibly rushed. It was a Saturday night so perhaps they needed to turn the table over, but we had 2 rounds of drinks, an appetizer, and entrees and were in and out of the restaurant in 45 minutes. The tables are also quite close together which I am of course used to in Brooklyn BUT these felt particularly close.

All of this is to say, I would recommend it here and try it again.

We had a hard time deciding what to order because everything on the menu looked amazing. Ended getting pomelo salad, duck curry and a whole steamed fish--very different dishes, but all were delicious and cooked well. Food came out quickly, and we're hoping to come back one day to try more.

Food was fantastic! The curry puffs were amazing, and the shrimp pad Thai was the best I’ve had. If you’re a fan of jasmine, get the “Jasmine of Miles Away” cocktail! Our waiter, Cherry, was nice and attentive :)

Excellent food, well priced. Servers are very well aware of allergens and cross contamination, which was very reassuring, as we had a celiac patient at the table. The mangosteen salad was out of this world, and personally I thought the veg curry w/ vegetables was great too. We were served by Daisy, who was a great server and very helpful.

Drunken noodles for almost 18 dollars is not worth it . Portion is very small chicken is very dry as well as no spice drunken noodles are suppose to be spicy . The setting of the restaurant is nice how ever this meal was not worth it noodles over cooked and again chicken is super super dry

The passion fruit lemon drops is so goooood and I love this place because I been here for years and it was never a problem !

The food was great - we ate the chicken wings, fried crab and mango salad for starters and then crab fried rice for mains. Cherry was a very knowledgeable and attentive waitress which we really appreciated - she provided great advice on ordering and was simply a delight!

The pad thai and pad kee mao I ordered were both underwhelming - almost no vegetables added to the stir fry and the choice of noodle made no sense. It was like 95% noodle. Papaya salad also didn’t feel like the fish sauce was mixed well - flavor just kind of washed away.

This is our favorite neighborhood go-to spot. Always happy to dine here. Great service from Charlie while sitting at the counter tonight!

The papaya salad had no flavor, and the noodles were stuck together, I had to cut it with a knife. There was barely any protein or vegetables in them. Very disappointed and won’t order from them again.

I was really excited to try this restaurant due to its ratings. Unfortunately, the delivery service and food wasn’t as expected. I placed a timed delivery an hour prior the time I’d liked it to be delivered. Here and there it happens that it doesn’t come on time. 30 minutes later still no delivery, I called and the lady was very friendly and said it’s on the way. 30 mins after the call, the food has finally arrived. An hour later than I’d scheduled it to be delivered. The food was lousy warm, the sticky rice I ordered was super super dry, and my appetiser was soaked and soggy :( The Thai Green Curry was delicious, tho. I’m not sure if I just got a bad day and you guys were extremely busy but I just god very disappointed. Communication about delivery with the customer would help (an updated tracking system via the websites ordering app).

Came to this restaurant for lunch and everything was excellent. The service was impeccable from beginning to end. I got the Kee Mao short rib and my mom got the pad thai goong and we both were super happy.

Nice restaurant, and the cocktails were good but thought the food was kind of lacking. We ordered the chive pancakes, papaya salad, the branzino, the short rib with noodles, and the mango sticky rice. Nothing really stood out, with the exception of the chive pancakes.

Everything else had a semblance of a great dish, but the flavors were mild. The fish was cooked well but lacked a lot of strong flavors and the short rib was dry - although the noodles were good.

All in all, spent close to $300 for two people. For those prices, I’d expect more.

Everything was amazing!

I made an order on DoorDash for pickup but once I arrived, I wanted to dine in since it was cold and pouring outside and we were hungry. We figured it wouldn’t be a big deal to ask to be seated. When we asked, they said we can’t eat at the restaurant because their dine in menu is different from what we ordered. We ordered a chicken pad Thai, curry puffs, shrimp pineapple fried rice, tom yum soup, and Thai iced tea. All of which they had on their dine in menu. There was nobody seated at the restaurant, it was completely empty. I’m not sure why they made up a reason to not allow us to dine in. They might have been racist (we’re south asian) because they started saying something to each other in their language. Not to mention they also forgot the straw for the thai iced tea. Will not be coming back here.

Tom Yum hotpot was superb. The green papaya salad was so good. Next time I'll ask for more spice, but there will definitely be a next time. The other dishes were uniformly delicious. William our server was so charming.

Came on a Saturday evening with a reservation. Our table ordered five entrees and universally loved the lime steam fish (Pla Neung Manow) and stir fried short rib (Kra Pow Nuer). Service was excellent! They were able to accommodate an allergy and were patient about some indecisiveness we had while ordering.

Amazing food

Had a horrible experience here two nights ago. Went with a friend who has shellfish allergy. We wanted to order Pad Thai and asked them to make it with chicken. They refused. Same with fried rice which was with crab. They would not substitute the protein.

Also we asked for regular tap water and the waitress got a bottle of still and opened it.

Because we could not order any food we left and were asked to pay for their mistake of still water. We requested to talk to the Manager who was a lady at the bar. She basically just kept smiling and repeating that they cannot change the menu.

We were made to feel unwelcome and the staff were rude and obnoxious. Will not go again.

We left and went over to the news block to Thaiholic for a fantastic meal.
