Creative Asian-fusion cuisine with plenty of vegetarian options served in a warm & calming ambiance.
The restaurant was a little dark, but the booth seating is very private and comfortable. All of the employees were friendly and the service was impeccable. The food arrived quickly and pipping hot. It was delicious! There is street parking or a parking lot a few blocks away.
Fantastic choices! Tons of tasty appetizers. Love the Bangkok chu, also the best pad thai! Service was super fast and it's a nice cozy atmosphere. Great prices too.
Food was extremely disappointing! I ordered chicken satay, chicken pad Thai, and chicken pineapple fried rice. Received the veg spring rolls for free and that was the best thing! Pad Thai was dry, no peanuts, no lime or vegetable. Pineapple fried rice has zero flavor with large chunks of plain white rice. Chicken satay and peanut sauce were lack luster as well. Super disappointed.
Food was very good and affordable. Atmosphere inside is cozy peaceful and welcoming. Service was efficient and courteous. Will definitely be back.
We came here for dinner. Decent quantity and appropriately priced.
We had the singapore noodles, pad woon sen and chicken satay. Satay was well cooked. The singapore noodles were great too.
The pad woon sen could use a bit more flavour. We asked for a re-do and the server did get our bowl re-tossed but it was still the same.
We’ve had pad woon sen multiple times since its one of our favourites.
Tip to the owner, try this this yourself and make a decision. Good place otherwise.
The price for food quality/quantity is way off. It was $50 for a pad thai that was mostly all noodle(no veg etc), a drunken noodle, and their appetizer sampler. The noodle dishes were the size of someone’s leftovers. Legitimately the size of a lunch special. With the sheer number of Thai restaurants in the area, I’ll never come here again.
The service is always top tier and the food is DELICIOUS. By far, the best Pad Thai I’ve had in this area.
Food is always great. It's still very reasonable. Love my mock duck massaman curry .

great spicy drunk noodles! good delivery

Their massaman curry is phenomenal. Run, don't walk. It's worth every penny
Food is super good and they have lunch specials and I am impressed by the good food at a very convenient price.
Place is a little dark and looks old and service is a little slow.
I got take out and my rice wasn’t done😳
The waiter we had was nice and we order the highest spice level. The dishes were not spicy at all but very flavorful. The food tasted good but the portion sizes we smaller compared to other thai restaurants we've been too. The curry I ordered contained pineapple and they forgot to remove it.
Our meals were cooked to perfection. The soup was flavorful. Service was terrific. The decor was soothing and appropriate, but it was a little dark (lighting) more my taste.
Huge fan of this place. Amazing curries. I think their noodle dishes are good too but I always get one of their curries. Highly recommend.
Celebrated a family birthday here so we had lots of different taste and diet preferences. Food was excellent and server informed us that most menu items can be made vegan. Lots of vegan protein options as well (mock duck, mock chicken, tofu). The omnivores loved their meat and the veg heads loved their vegan meals. It's rare that I go out to eat with a large group and everyone really enjoys their food. Excellent service, very tasty, will be back.
Thai Basil is our absolute favorite take out spot in town. The food is really fantastic.
A few notes: The portion of rice you get with curry dishes is VERY small. If you just used the rice served with your entire entree, you'd have something similar to curry and rice soup. If you ask for more rice, they do charge you!
We've eaten in the restaurant once and it's definitely nothing to write home about. It's a business that clearly runs heavily on take out, so our server was very busy managing people coming in to get their orders. The restaurant itself is a little dark and dingy, but if you're craving Mango Sticky Rice it's worth dining in at the restaurant (it's not offered on doordash). It is SO good and visually stunning!
Best chicken curry with mixed vegetables

Food was great wide variety of choices, service was great no wait to get a seat. It is BYOB
Had the Tom Kha soup and the red curry, wife had massaman. Everything was incredible. Great place to try in Collingwood.
I gave it a 4 starts because the curries etc are delicious. But I was slightly disappointed in the papaya salad. Traditional papaya salad you have fermented shrimp paste , fermented crabs , it was just sweet chili fish sauce. Pretty disappointed.
The best fried pineapple rice I’ve ever had. I add tofu to mine and they always make it so perfectly. The ingredients are SO FRESH here. I love getting take out or dining in.
Since our first visit we have had several disappointing experiences with the quality of the food
amazing food. great service!
One of the best Thai places I’ve ever been! Their roti is to die for. Vegan dishes are so good that a person in my party had to double check that the mock duck was actually not real duck because it was THAT GOOD.
Been to just about every Thai place in Philly and many beyond, and this place rocks!! Service is always great; byob too!
Super dry.
Very relaxed atmosphere. Great place to grab a bite. The ice coffee and Thai basil salad with chicken is delicious. Highly recommend.
Great vegetarian options. Great take out, and always nice and quiet when you go sit down to eat in-person. Best Thai food around here!
This is a good out of the way Thai place in the heart of Collingswood, minutes from Pennsauken. It was a Sunday so it was pretty quiet. Service and food were good. The portions were not huge but commensurate with the fair prices. We met a few ladies local to us and chatted them up after dinner which was my highlight! :-) A hidden gem with parking very close by.
The restaurant was a little dark, but the booth seating is very private and comfortable. All of the employees were friendly and the service was impeccable. The food arrived quickly and pipping hot. It was delicious! There is street parking or a parking lot a few blocks away.
One of the better kept secrets in south jersey. You can always find a table and the food is delicious. Check online for the full menu! Service is slow but they're understaffed.
Food is amazing!
Great vegetarian options!
The food here is excellent and diners may enjoy authentic Thai dishes that are bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is also warm, and the servers are welcoming.
Price-wise, menu items are of good value, especially considering how expensive other restaurants are near by.
Went last night (Valentine's Day) after not going for a few years. There were so many negatives, I am not sure where to start. The main issue was that we waited well over a hour and a half for our food and when it finally arrived-it was cold. I would understand the wait if it had just been that they were really busy, however a family arrived 20 min after us and was served first. Another major issue was that through out the entire time we waited for our food...take out orders just kept coming, and coming and coming out of the kitchen....probably close to 35 orders were filled...all while we waited for our meals. Not one person said sorry, explained why the wait was so long, refiled our water or anything. Lastly, the food quality def as gone downhill. We will never eat there again
Fantastic restaurant! Authentic Thai cuisine and great service!
Beautiful atmosphere and good service.
Food is only fit for people with no spice tolerance at all. Bland or very very sweet, missing that Thai flavor, ordered high spice levels and was still bland. Small quantities, high prices. The fried veggie dumplings were good.
People's food postings look so good, but unfortunately, this was not my experience. We ordered food to pick up so we set the time. When we arrived home you could tell that our food had been sitting there was awhile. I ordered the crabmeat for rice. This was one of the blandest things I have tasted in a very long time. I had to add more soy sauce and added my own sweet chili sauce, but I felt disappointed having to do this to the crabmeat. Maybe the spicier dishes have better flavors, but I still not return to find out. On a Saturday night in Collingswood when every other restaurant was packed and they were not, I should have guessed!
Great Thai food, I recommend the pad Thai and the drunken noodles!
Hands down the most AMAZING staff! Had the wings along with brown rice. Had a good experience at this restaurant.
I order a beef curry dish that was terrible. The beef was hard & chewy and the curry was obviously watered down. I sent it back and got something else and they still charged me. I’ll never go back.
Delicious pad thai. Definitely will go again.
We love it here. Get the duck!
Awesome spot. Great food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended a visit if you’re in town.
Let me just start by saying.....there's nothing worse than being hungry and when you get the food, you're beyond disappointed!! with that said, I won't completely embarrass this restaurant by posting pictures but I will express how awful this food was. I ordered the Papaya Salad and the Thai Basil Treasure appetizer sampler. Having eaten at so many great Thai restaurants, this food was not a true representation of Thai cuisine by any stretch of the imagination. The papaya salad was more sour and spicy (the papaya was not fresh) and lacked flavor. The chicken satay in the sampler was so dry and overcooked it stuck to the skewers, the fried tofu looked like and tasted like a dry sponge!!! Unfortunately, all items were overcooked and quite frankly tasted like they could have been an order from maybe a day or two before. Listen, I know I'm hitting hard here but as a avid foodie and someone who tells you if something is great when it's great...I also have to tell you when its awful. What's worse, this is pretty local to me so I said to myself, instead of travelling 20 minutes to what I know is great, I'll give my local restaurant a try....big mistake. Trust and believe I will not make the mistake again. Hopefully I'm keeping someone from doing the same.
Delicious food, courteous staff, and reasonable prices. Try the spicy Korean Noodles!
Great food and wonderful service!
I have been going to Thai Basil for years and it is consistently awesome. I love their lunch special and Massaman Curry! The staff is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend as a BYOB option in Collingswood.
LOVE Thai Basil! I'm glad I was able to find my new go-to place for Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup; both favorite dishes of mine! Service is always very nice and friendly!
Love the food and service here. They have a good lunch menu for $10. Pad Thai, Tom yum soup, pad see ew, mango and sticky rice and my fav Thai ice tea are all great here. Atmosphere is nice and cozy as well.
Very good overall. Red and Panang Curries were good. Not perfect but very delicious. Mango rice was refreshing. My only negative was that the tom yum soup wasn't quite shrimpy enough. and it was a bit too salty and was not what you expect out of a good tom yum. All else, very decent. Tender chicken. flavorful curry. Easily top 3 thai places in this jersey area
Delicious!! We went for lunch and they have a great lunch special. Perfect portions and price for a filling, but not stuffed, lunch! We'll definitely be back!
Great food, great atmosphere, wish we lived closer we would be regulars here!
Love the food. Good service. Clean and neat place.
The food was amazing. I definitely recommend the drunken noodles. The atmosphere was really great. Our server was very friendly and attentive. It was definitely worth the trip to New Jersey from Philly.
the food was so amazing, i'm definetyly going to go back
Great lunch specials. The food was delish
Love the service and food. The waiter so nice. I had spicy flat noodle with beef and thai ice coffee. Delish
Really bad service, the lady at the front is very rude and ruined the experience.
BYOB. The food was really good. I would recommend getting appetizers; I had the bang bang shrimp and puff chicken dumplings, small plates but yummy. The pad thai and duck basil was also very good. Come with your patience because tasty food that is fresh can take time. No free refills on sodas as they use cans.
My fave Thai restaurant in the area. Pretty quiet and low key. Family friendly as well. My kids love it! The lunch specials are a great value.
Its pretty ok. Not great not bad. Nice atmosphere. Wait service kind of lame.
Good food
Food is great. Definitely give it a try!
Great food and service. Drunken noodles are excellent.
Why is the pineapple rice so freaking good? Been good for like ten years straight.
Food was great, the service was excellent, we did a lot of special requests and they got everything just right.
great place, very much enjoyed our lunch here
Really enjoyed - server helped with choices especially gluten-free. Sticky Rice dessert was Wonderful!!! Will be going back.😍
Best Thai place around
Our food was incredible.
We visited on a Saturday night and loved that it wasn't crowded. It seemed they were doing a lot of take out orders. Our appetizers and entrees were tasty and plentiful! The servers and busboys were so friendly and professional! We loved our visit and recommend it when you're in the Collingwood area!
Great as always! Super service too!
Food tastes fine but the flavors are somewhat off to what I've always understood to be Thai food. Ordered shrimp pad Thai and chicken satay last night. Food arrived nice and hot but the shrimp pad Thai was missing something (or some things) and the chicken satay was not seasoned the way I've known it to be. Huge pieces though.
We love Thai Basil! We've eaten there many times. Some dishes our family loves is their Thai Basil Fried Rice, Asian Eggplant Platter, Pad Thai, and Spicy Korean Noodle. The food always tastes fresh and flavorful. Plus great, friendly service.
The food was good
food was ready when promised and delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Some of the best thai food I've ever had!
Love the vegan options. Gluten free options are also available. Love friendly atmosphere. Everything seems to be made fresh and comes from the kitchen, hot. No cold food here. Yummy
The atmosphere was lovely, warm welcoming and comfortable. The service was excellent, friendly helpful pleasant staff. The food was amazing! Appetizers, dinner and dessert were all fresh and delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Great food and the mango sticky rice was Fantastic!!!
Good food, quiet atmosphere, attentive waitstaff
Very good food! Awesome desserts! Nice atmosphere! Very polite and friendly people!
Great food and lunch specials!
Good prices, excellent service, lots of veggie options.
Always good eveytime.
Delicious food but service a little slower than expected.
There is a good variety of food with fun specials. The dishes we had were flavorful, fresh, and well cooked (I had the red curry and the curry puffs with chicken). Veggies were not soggy or overdone. They did not water down the spices. Portions were not giant but were generous and pricing was fair. Nice ambiance - music that provides enough ambient noise for some privacy but not loud enough that you need raise your voice. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, and being able to make a reservation was a plus.
Why only 2 stars? Because it is 1am and my infant is currently waking every 15 minutes screaming. I asked our waiter whether any of the dishes I was planning on ordering contained soy since my nursing son has an intolerance and was told they do not, but this is clearly not the case since he is reacting. The waiter went to the kitchen to check and had asked me for backup options as well so I was hopeful this wouldn’t be an issue. I suspect the curry puffs, which were delicious.
This was our first date night in nearly a year and I am so disappointed.
Delicious everything’s fresh...very nice staff!
The food was good but the service was a little slow.
How to cashier ask me for my card without giving me a check haven't been back there since
We came here for a family party and couldn't wait to come back. Food is delicious and they have a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options and were willing to prepare many options vegan for my vegan friend. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent recommendations. I have tried a few different things here but the photo included is of the masamun curry. You should go to this place if you haven't ever gone
Tom kha soup is the best I've ever had. Red curry is also great.
Good food, good atmosphere, great service.
Food and service were good. Would have been better had the portions been a little larger.
The prices are very reasonable. We've been several times and the food is among the best, regardless of the price. Recommend highly.
Decent Thai food in the area
Very good. Service was excellent.servers very helpful and knowledgeable. The food was delicious.pad thai was the best I've had.The coconut soup was a bit salty, but had a good flavor. Everything else we ordered was excellent . We will definitely come back.
Food is amazing, and for vegans -vthey won't BS you. A lot of places will say food is vegan even if it has fish sauce in it. They do not. They're totally honest and accommodating.
Great food and service. Similar menu and price as most other Thai restaurants - $11-15 rice, noodle, and curry dishes with choice of protein (vegetable, tofu, mock duck, chicken, beef, or shrimp). I really enjoyed the pad kee mao drunken noodles, sweet, savory, and spicy flat rice noodle stir-fry.
Food was nice.. No complaints, A lady who served us was great. She did good job by helping us to choose good food.
Not the BEST Thai food I've had, but definitely five star worthy. If this is the closest place you can find easily, it's more than with a visit. Reasonable prices, inventive menu that really captures the spirit of Thai food.
Crab and rice..delicious...egg roll crunchy but not greasy...soups are excellent as well...will definitely be back soon...
consistently delicious food everytime.
The best thai food in south Jersey a must try
Great pineapple fried rice and atmosphere
Food was excellent!
Only did take out. The food was just ok but I thought the portions we're small compared to other Thai places. We just moved from Philadelphia and still searching for a good Thai place in the area. Would probably try another couple places before trying this place again.
Pineapple fried rice is amazing!
Could be better
Delicious food, nice staff
Have been going here for years absolutely my favorite Thai food in South Jersey
I hate to write this review because I truly enjoyed eating at Thai Basil. However my coworker found a fly cooked in her food. We were so upset because the food tasted so good. They took care of our bill and we didn't have to pay anything, but we were grossed out and we will NEVER GO BACK!!!!
I took my teenage daughter on a "proper dinner date" to try something new. It was tasty and affordable.
The service is awesome and the food is great!!!!!!
I do not understand why Thai food here uses chicken primarily.
Good service. The server was very helpful in identifying vegetarian options. Made great suggestions. When the dishes came out, they looked great and tasted very good.
Great food, a variety of Asian cuisines. Nice ambience.
I always come here for lunch. The good is amazing and they have great pricing.
An awesome meal and they even had sticky rice. Service was great and they live up to a land of smiles. They tried to help wherever they could and the food came out well seasoned.
The waiters and staff spoke Thai, but the food was off. Lived in Thailand 8 years and never saw ka pow guy like that before. I understand that some ingredients are going to be changed, but the food wasn't spicy at all and I told them that I'd lived in Thailand 8 years and wanted it spicy. Heck I said it in Thai as I didn't even know how to order my dish in English! I know it's hard to find some of the veggies here, but I know you can buy dried thai peppers. Using what looked like cayenne pepper from a spice Shaker you buy at Wegmans killed it for me. Food tasted fine, was probably even spicy for most people, but it's barely Thai food. Mostly I'm upset about the lack of spice. I won't be back nor will I recommend it to anyone looking for real Thai food.
Great papaya salad. Interior is quite dark.
Great Thai food! Fast and friendly service. Have been coming here over the last few years. A nice exotic addition to the restaurant scene in Collingwood.
Loved this place! Great for vegetarian/gluten free people. Waiter was super sweet and friendly, managing all tables at once! Spring rolls were fresh and delicious and my veggie dish was full of flavor. Definitely recommend for all occasions
