Under New management
I ordered shrimp rolls and drunken noodles. The shrimp rolls were delicious. So much so I forgot to take a pic. My drunken noodles was an okay dish but not at all what I was expecting. The second pic is every other Thai restaurant. I guess I’m just in the wrong neighborhood. Unfortunately I won’t be back.
I used to live in Queens NY, the capital of asian cuisine.. and since moving to NJ, I've had a hard time finding decent Thai food. @BK Thai is definitely the best we've had, and every time we've gone there they have yet to dissapoint. Even my picky kids love it! Highly recommend!!
Had a great family dinner. Server was fast and attentive.
She had glasses for our wine out as soon as we sat down. She returned after each course and met our special GF dietary needs without issue. Food was made exactly as requested, spice, no spice, etc. Chicken Pad Thai was excellent and chicken dumplings and sauce were very tasty!
Don't understand why more guests don't dine-in here.
I'll be back soon!
Very disappointed with the vegetable rolls, spring rolls and wings.
Very little flavor and the wings possess a huge amount of fat, like Weaver brand frozen wings.
After finally trying my first Thai food last week at Thai Basil in Manchester,Vermont I thought the food would be as amazing.
I was very wrong
Will not return
The most bizarre experience we have ever had at a local restaurant and our last experience with @BK Thai.
I went in to enjoy lunch with my fiancé. We weren’t sure if she would need to be called back to work so we ordered the food to go. We looked at the time and realized we had some time to sit down and eat, a little lunch date which was much needed. The entire dining room was empty, a complete ghost town.
We sat down and the lady behind the register was staring at us dying to say something so we asked her if there was a problem. She told us we had to leave because we ordered the food to go. We aren’t allowed to eat take out in their empty dining room. So we pay for the overpriced food and have no choice to either dine-in or take it to go? This is why people go to food chains and businesses like this go out of business. So to Yelp I went to leave my thoughts.
Bottom line, IF YOU TAKE OUT, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE. GIVE US YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE.
They watched us walk out with no explanation. They watched business walk out the door. We will never order or support these people again.
Nice and quiet, clean, and amenable place for lunch. They had a special $11 per plate, you can't beat that. Thai food is not my cup of tea, so can't say but mine tasted pretty good, a cashew sauce plate with shrimp and rice. It ended up being too heavy (fatty) for me just because I have deficiency in some enzymes. I could've had same plate with no sauce.
Best pineapple fried rice I’ve tried in northern Jersey. I tried many restaurants pineapple fried rice from Sparta to Hackensack over the past 2 years and so far this is the only place for that. Very kind people and quick service too. Also, they’re spice levels are not “American” spice levels, be cautious lol
I've eaten great Thai food all around the Tri-state area and even spent two weeks in Thailand over this summer. This place is no good anymore. There are new owners as of about 2 years ago and it has gone completely downhill. The interior is the same, but the food is terrible now. Now I drive past it to go to the next town to pick up quality Thai food.

Pretty bland. Asked for extra sauce, but noodles were still dry.
Best takeout Thai in the area

Ordered drunken noodles and was the worst drunken noodles ever had. Just fry noodles and no taste to it.

Unfortunately the food here was just awful. Hard pass. We basically just threw out $73 worth of food it was so inedible. The dishes aren’t even like what you’d get at any other Thai food so I hesitate to call this place Thai food but it’s the worst Thai I’ve ever had.

Best authentic Thai food in North Jersey!

I've been coming here for years. Hands down my favorite place to get Thai food. And they can cook most things gluten free.
Update: there are new owners. And while the place looks the same and seems to offer the same menu. It's not the same. I always got gluten free pad see Ew. This time it didn't taste the same. This one was darker in color and much sweeter. While not bad, I preferred it the old way. Does anyone happen to know how the gluten free version used to be made? I don't believe it was with a sweet soy sauce(like the regular way). I want to say it was a ginger sauce, but I could be wrong.
The other problem, I don't know how safe I'd call this place now for those with celiac. They do have gluten free options. But the chef came out and asked me questions about whether or not certain things were gluten free or not. It does not give me confidence when the chef is asking me this. While the ingredients used may indeed be gluten free. I doubt that cross contamination is taken into consideration.
I do believe I was "glutened" from my meal there.
The Tom Yum and Pad Thai are very good!!!

Food is excellent…
Favorite pad Thai and drunken noodle in NJ. They have most items available on their GF menu (using gluten free soy sauce, so a lot more is available than only pad Thai and curries)
What a great gem and near my house. Delicious food that is prepared with love. This is going to be my new spot!!!!
Food is flavorful and love the spice level. Definitely a go to spot for Thai food in the area
Great food! Had the Pad Thai and will go again soon!
Delicious seafood bamboo and coconut sauce with brown rice. Soups outstanding. Great selection. Just a fabulous Thai restaurant and addition to Caldwell’s offerings. Try it. BYOB.
The Drunken Noodle and the Cashew Sauce were the bomb
So Good! Made reservation group of 10 & EVERYONE had a great meal! Friendly staff & great affordable food!
The veggie dumplings are the best around! Also try the marinated steak!
Very disappointed.I am a doordash driver. I called the restaurant just to ask how much longer it'll take for the order to be ready. The owner (I believe so) told me don't call me, we're busy, I don't know how longer it'll take..(you're just wasting my time) wowww..
Never before I've been told something like this. SHAME
Our meals from Bangkok Kitchen - eat in or (since COVID) take out - have always been very fresh, well seasoned and served in generous portions. Service has been quick and extremely friendly. Always helps to "make our day." Thanks.
Ventured into Caldwell to try Bangkok Kitchen and we were not disappointed. Perfect spring rolls, excellent dumplings. Very good pad thai. Slightly disappointed that the pad see eww had regular broccoli rather than Chinese broccoli but it was still delicious. Great, friendly service. We'll be back.
This is our favorite Thai restaurant in Montclair area. Their food is consistently great. We have never had a bad experience in last 3 to 4 times of ordering. Our favorite dishes are their chicken wings, Pad Thai and papaya salad. Owners are very nice and courteous. 10/10 recommend this place.
Great food, great staff.
Down right amazing . Owners are very nice as well. Recommend the pad Thai .
The food is delicious, especially their vegetable dumplings they are so good! And the service is great, always so nice!
I like the owner but that's about it.... suggested by someone who claimed the food was delicious! If you do not know authentic thai tasting food then this is the place for you! Food had no taste whatsoever especially for thai food it should be colorful and tasty. The garnish of lettuce on the curry puffs were old and brown, plating was unappealing, i dont even think the cook uses soy sauce! Pad see euw was tasteless. How can you mess up on simple thai fried rice !!!! It was just really bad! I'm sorry but this doesn't even compare to good restaurants like thai elephant in Verona or if you dont mind going to hasbrouck heights Tom yum kitchen is the best ever!!! I'm sorry I cannot imagine this place having above one star reviews unless they are all fake or people just dont have taste and taste buds!!! I was too embarrassed to take photos of the unappealing plating!
Try the spicy Pad Thai!
Consistently good
The food was great the service is amazing and I would go back everyday if I could I would highly recommend it to everyone and anyone to come visit
Wonderful
Great tasting food that's spiced perfectly and the employees are really considerate and nice.
Very nice local restaurant. Fresh food authentically prepared.
Just OK. Both dishes were tasty but the meat (beef) was not tender. Service was very good. A bit of a disappointment.
Great Thai food for lunch or dinner at reasonable prices. BYOB.
Our favorite local spot for great food. We've been here many times and have never been disappointed. Each person in my family has their own favorite, but to me the best thing on the menu is the Pad Cee Ew (I always get it "a little bit spicy"), try it, you won't be disappointed!
This place doesn't use soy sauce in there pad see ew. I'm wondering if that's how they save money on ingredients. Never ordering from here again.
Always a great meal! Best Pad Thai
By far the consistently best Thai Food around...true Thai cooking and hospitality....
Food is good. Close to authentic. Very pleasant service. Clean. Some items need to be updated i.e. noticed a table needed some repairs.
My favorite Thai.
Very tasty thai food in a relaxed atmosphere. Food is fresh prepared, serving size is very reasonable. Byob
A little pricey, but otherwise great food.
Great food! Had a great time and they checked with us during the meal to make sure we enjoyed. Highly recommend!
I came here for the first time a few days and definitely did not disappoint. I got the pad Thai and it was one of the best I’ve tasted. The service was great and I highly recommend this restaurant for great Thai food. I can’t wait to come back!
Love Thai - this was not Thai! We were the only people in the restaurant (not surprising after I tasted the food!) The roti was definitely an Indian version... the pad thai was even bad! How do you mess up pad thai?! Disappointing... would not recommend!
Very nice, great service.
Love this place
Great family owned establishment. Best Tom Kha soup in the area.
Very quick service
Really good pineapple fried rice, recommend to anyone.
My favorite place
Good food , BYOB... rood forever to order food when we ate here but quick service for take-out.
Every time I order take out from here it consistently takes double the amount of time. They say 20-25 minutes and I end up waiting in the store for 20 minutes. Today I walked in and my order wasn't ready. And ten minutes later when I complained I was told "it was just put in the pan". The good food is not worth the excruciating wait.
The service is a little slow at times but the food has big flavor and is always made fresh. The portion size is nice also. Lunch specials only include reduced pricing, not roll and salad/soup.
Consistently good Thai food for the area. Noodle and Thai curry dishes alike are delightful. Owners are really nice and service is quick.
Good Thai food. I’m not an expert. My coworkers understand the menu better then I. I had lunch here 2 times because I was with a party that chose this location. The food was good at a decent price. Friendly service. I recommend this restaurant.
Cozy little Thai restaurant in Caldwell, very friendly and relaxing atmosphere!!
Warm and friendly service. Very attentive. Consistently delicious food.
Lovely atmosphere.
Used to be the best Thai around. They have significantly declined in quality. Not sure what happened. Sad. The wait staff are really nice. But the food is a 3/10.
My family and I had a great time eating here. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The owners even gave us complementary desserts after our meal. We would definitely come back soon. Highly recommended!
Great local Thai
Good food and service.
My colleagues and I enjoy trying different dishes at least twice a week. We love it😋
Pad thai is decent, nothing to rave about. Was expecting the coconut chicken soup to be a little more like Tom Kha Gai but got 2 pieces of chicken in an odd tasting lemony milk.
Great local atmosphere. While being from out of town I found this a place the locals eat and a place I could see myself frequenting. The food was excellent, the service was very quick and I would definitely return if in the area.
We've been eating the food from Bangkok Kitchen since it opened. We usually do take out but sometimes eat in. Their Pad Thai is fabulous. We have loved everything we have every gotten from here.
Its a bad place to eat. Do not believe the fake good reviews. Had a bug in my food. The rice was cold and dry, was served in plastic wrap. Do not eat here you will get I'll due to improper sanitation.
had a large bug in my yellow curry. it was so nasty i threw up on the sidewalk. this was the dirtiest place ive ever eaten. it was weird cuz the decor was nice.
