Great tasting Thai food. Flavor is good and authentic. The options are vast and price is good. This is a great place to eat good Thai food outside of San Antonio. This place taste far better than most Thai restaurants in SA.

I've been here a number of times. The food is always good. Some of our go toos are Pad See Ew amd Panang Curry. Both of these dishes are great. Also, can't go wrong with their fried rice. It is hard to find better Thai food in the area. The atmosphere is nice and even better if you go outside of peak hours.

Chicken was tender and curry sauce was actually quite tasty even though it was lukewarm but I couldn’t look past the eggplant which was overcooked and wasn’t Thai eggplant, I also wasn’t a big fan of the green beans they tasted canned and way too many of them for my taste. Service was pretty much nonexistent. 4.3/10

Amazing vegetarian options! The pineapple fried rice was our favorite and we want to come back and try the mock chicken and duck next time.

Waitress who said she had only been working there for 2 days was excellent and helpful and nice. The food on the other hand was average.ordered the garlic lemon grass chicken and it was fair .$14.95 for not that big of a portion and it had to be sent back as it came out luke warm. Very little taste for lemon grass. Expected much more flavor. Was very bland! Disappointed.

UPDATE: We really liked this place the time we were there, but we've been back on days that said they were open at 11 a.m. and they weren't open even by 11:30. Traffic is so awful, it's not really worth taking the chance on them not being open. Plus, their voicemail has not been activated, so you can't call to check.
ORIGINAL POST: One of the few places that serves mussels and they are delicious. Their traditional Thai dishes have all been very good, as well.
Hate the location due to the traffic tangle, but it's worth the hassle.

Best Thai food I’ve had! Our waitress was so kind and helpful. She and her coworker were working hard to keep things clean and serve the customers well. Food was amazing and just what I wanted. Prices were fair and I’ll be going back!

We placed a pickup order, and order was double charged. When we asked them to fix/remove the double charge, they told us to dispute the charge with the bank.

After getting home with our order, we realized an item was missing. We called them and again they said they wouldn't correct the issue (refund the item that was missing) and that we'd need to contact the bank.

The food we did get was underwhelming, not very flavorful.

Definitely don't recommend and we won't be back. Unfortunate, as we love Thai food.

Best Thai food in town BY FAR.

The saving grace was the food. It was perfect. Probably top 3 curries I've had. However the service was slowwwwwwwww. Way too slow for a lunch. I will go back for dinner. But it is not a lunch spot with the slow service.

My friend and I have dined here once before. Probably 4 or 5 months ago. The food was good enough so we decided to go back tonight. I ordered two appetizers; edamame and spring rolls and they were good. For my entree I ordered their special that was on the chalkboard. Teriyaki Salmon. When they delivered the plate it looked so tasty but one bite and the salmon was so dry and hard, I felt like it had been microwaved several times.Maybe thats why it was douced in Teriyaki glaze. I politely told the server that unfortunately, I didnt care for the Salmon, it was overcooked and dry, and to please just take it off my bill. JUST THE SALMON. I didnt ask for anything else in its place. They insisted that since I took a bite, I had to pay for it! (The exact same scenario as someone elses experience). But wait, it gets better, the server said “ok.” She went and got the cook and he said I needed to pay for it as well because I had eaten it! I took ONE bite and it was horrible. The cook also said, “ok” and next thing you know the New Braunfels Police Department showed up. They called the cops! Thankfully the officers helped to get the meal removed from my bill and I paid for the apps and the servers tip. Ive never experienced anything like this in my entire life. Im in the service industry myself and I was absolutely dumbfounded. Obviously I will never go back but perhaps their Thai food is good according to their other reviews. However, with us being the only cars in the parking lot, at 6:30ish both times, maybe that should have been a clue. Especially in New Braunfels and the love of Thai food by many. They called the police over probably a $7.00 net cost. It would have been $20.00 with tax on my bill. I actually wasnt going to write a review; I was just going to leave it alone, even after they called the police! That is, until I read what happened to another patron. Same exact experience. If you take a bite…..beware!

I don't know if they're paying for reviews or if I got exceptionally horrible luck. I came in today, ordered two appetizers and an entree which were both fine. The entree came out and the chicken was dry and all of the vegetables tasted freezer burnt. I sent it back after taking maybe 3 bites and said I'd happily pay for the appetizers but I didn't want the entree.
The server said I still had to pay for the entree, per the owner. She apologized profusely but still, I paid almost $40 for chicken satay and some edamame and an inedible plate.
Used to love this place, even worked here for the previous owners when it was Thai Lao. Absolute trash now.

Best Thai food in Texas! Love the Pad Se Ew with chicken and Thai fried rice. For appetizers I had the Crisp Spring Egg Rolls and they were piping hot and crispy after take out home. Great flavor in every dish! It’s been so hard to find not just good Thai, but amazing Thai food. This is my place! Their menu is extensive and I recommend the Mango & Coconut Sticky Rice dessert. Not every restaurant can get every dish perfect but our order nailed it! I’ll definitely be going back weekly. Thanks for being in New Braunfels! Fair prices for dishes allow me to get a variety of options.

The location is charming, but be ready to turn off the road quickly or you might miss the pull in. You enter on the rear side FYI. Don’t wait just try it.

The avocado curry is the best thing in the entire freaking world. I wish I lived closer and could eat it all the time. The staff is always so nice and hospitable to our insanely large group of friends when we visit. Love this place so much.

The past few times we’ve been here the food has been amazing but it took forever. I think they’ve got it down to a science now because the food came out hot and fresh and only took a few minutes. Staff was polite and attentive and the bill was reasonable. I’ve tried all the Thai food in the area and can say this is the best in town! Highly recommend! (Sorry I didn’t take the picture in time, I was hungry)

If you want authentic Thai this ain't it.
I ordered 3 basic Thai dishes. All of them tasted bland. And for some reason there's green beans. Som tum was nasty. Just sweet and sour. I'm from Thai, so I know what Thai food taste like... very disappointed

Have passed this place multiple times and finally decided to stop in. Service was great, host was nice and greeted us as soon as we walked in. Food came out pretty quick, was hot, nice portion. Flavor was great, no complaints. Would definitely come back to try something new!!

Food was fantastic! It seemed like they were a little under staffed however they got the food out very quickly and it was AH-MAZING. I had Pad Kee Mao and my husband had pad thai, we added some of the chili oil for some spice and loved every bite.

The service was great! The Pho broth was a little on the sweet side compared to other Pho restaurants I have visited across many states, but I enjoyed the taste. If I could guess, I think their broth recipe included a little more all spice.

Was all very fresh. Clean place too. It's on 46 so I hate the traffic and have not given them a chance until now, but worth the 46 driving. Idk what curry these were but they were great. One was sweet and the other one was spicy. Mmmmm.
I got eggplant spicy stir fry and it was incredible. Also not pictured was some kind of thia tea and vegetable pho, both excellent. We will be back.

The food was incredible. Our waitress was very good. The only problem was we arrived around 1:15 pm. we finished our food, and i wanted to make a togo order. They said the kitchen was closed. Then i tried to get some green tea ice cream. The waitress said she couldn't even do that. Shortly after, they told us we had to leave now. If you go there, which i recommend, dont go after 1:30. Unless you want a to go order.

This such a great little spot. The Beef Pho taste like home, the rice was the best I’ve tasted so far being new to New Braunfels which I think because they seasoned the rice that reminds me of someone I knew back home and it brings back memories with every bit. The sweet and sour chicken was very good and un-breaded and the sauce was light. The only thing I found to be a little bit different was the teriyaki chicken, which I didn’t care to much for, but the pot stickers were very good. So give it a try and you’ll be happy you did.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a year and a half because it was down the road from my house. I’ve moved and now drive across town to eat here. I’ve been trying new dishes and each one has delicious. Appetizers probably have to be my favorite, though. The staff is always working hard. They are courteous and kind. Overall, a great place!

Unfortunately the food is not real original dishes. I ordered Pad see ew (fried noodles). It was too sweet. Disappointed..

We love this place so much we ate there 2 days in a row. It's nicely decorated and clean. They have some items that I've not seen on other Thai places I've been to, so I had to try them, and they're both very good. The kao soy seafood was delicious, had lots of seafood and noodles. The sukiyaki I got with veggies instead of the chicken, and it was amazing as well, only there is very little glass noodles in the dish, I had to order extra rice to eat with it. My husband got the pad ginger the first day, and the clay pot delight the 2nd day, which was kinda the same as the pad ginger but in a clay pot, so he practically ate the same thing twice. We had to order extra rice both days because the portions that came with the meal were small. I had the Thai tea and the Thai coffee, and both were really good. I would definitely come back here again next time I'm in NB.

I've heard good Asian is hard to get in this town and this place helps that reputation. Saw a lot of really good reviews so figured we'd give it a shot. Costs were a little high but a lot of these type restaurants will really load you up and make that cost worth it. Not here! Portions were ridiculously tiny. 15 bucks on a lemon grass stir fry that wouldn't fill my toddler. Food was bland and pretty much devoid of taste.

Panang Curry was very good. I felt they could have given a little more rice but other than that, I have no complaints. The wife had beef pho. We have eaten at a few places in NB and this place was pretty nice! We will be back!

Took a chance on this place since our favorite was closed. Very pricey for the 4 pieces of meat on the plate. Finished my food in 2 spoonfuls. The pad thai was the worst we have ever had. Sweet and slimy, and 3 pieces of beef in it. Very over priced for what we received.

The overall experience was "Great", my wife and I had lunch, green curry w/chicken and combo fried rice very fresh and tasty. The waitress was very nice and attentive (Bambi). We will definitely be back, two thumbs up!

Highly recommend this restaurant, very quiet and I'm guessing it's because the food is so Flippin good you don't want to talk! Well sometimes I just suck at ordering the right thing. My dish was okay but not really flavorful. We will be back again and I'll try again.

I've eaten Thai food in many cities, and this is up there with the very best. My wife and I ordered golden triangles, panang curry and pad prig king. All were truly superior. The service was likewise very attentive and polite.

Not sure why, but the restaurant has "Villa Thai" on the outside wall, but shows up here as "Thai Lao Orchid". Based on the address, it seems to be the same business, maybe a recent name change?

Best authentic Thai curries around! They have a good, saucy pad thai. I've tried many of their stir fried noodle dishes and they're pretty legit.
They don't always answer their phone but that doesn't mean they aren't there. If their hours say they are open, they're open. They don't always have ppl to answer the phone.

Notice the only bad reviews consist of portions....in general or amount of protein.
Portions weren't huge but very satisfying.
As for the amount of meat......Thai food isn't all about meat. If you want a whole chicken breast on the Pad Thai or a whole chunk of beef in the other dish then go to a greasy spoon restaurant not a Thai restaurant

Don’t bother trying to call in a to go order, they have the phone set to silent and if the employees manage to see a call they pick up and hang up without saying a word. Food is decent but the to go portions are pathetic for what they charge.

My family and I just moved here to NB from DFW TX and we have been looking for a local good Thai food place. We finally found one. This place is FRESH AND DELICIOUS!!!! I do wish when ordering that we could order bigger family size quantity of their curries and appetizers. You definitely cannot go wrong with this place! We love everything they have. My favorites are the red and yellow curry and the egg soup.

Delicious flavor! I really was happy to have found a new Thai place, after moving from Converse. The only things that bum me out is that they really don't give much meat. I would really like more meat when I order an item. Even if I would need to pay just a little more, I would.

Another issue I have is that their site say my address does not exist. No delivery available for me I guess. Lastly, I wish their phones would work.

I'll give this place another shot, but it seems a lot of Asian cuisine nowadays is substituting their meat with broccoli, carrots (here), mushrooms, or something else.

Thanks for the great food. Oh! They have dine-in now available. Can't wait to try dining in here. Maybe it is better that way.

4 months later and they're getting sooooooo skimpy on the orders! I'm really disappointed here. I got marely a scoop of rice with my panang chicken curry. Oh, and there is hardly any chicken in that meal nor in their chicken pad thai. I really wish I could just lose my temper at this place.

Certainly lacking in both quantity & quality. Togo bag did not include any condiments, silverware, or napkins.
Portioning of veggies and protein was poor & taste was mediocre on both of the two different entrees.
The food or service was by no means bad, just less than average. There are better options in town to get a better bang for buck.

The food is truly incredible and find myself craving it every week! Highly recommend a visit in, and try the Thai Iced Tea

This is the place the convinced me that I like pad thai. If you already like pad thai then you have a head start. It is so good that during the pandemic that I ordered take out from the Thai Lao Orchid so I could make sure that the best pad thai in town stuck around.

Very small portions this is NOT real Thai food it’s for people that don’t know the difference.

We get there. Stand by the door waiting to be seated...I see an older man coming towards me, he does but walks right by me and changes the open sign on the door to closed, then walks right past me again... so I then walk up to where the register is and wait for him to come that way he does but again acts as if I am not there, and leaves again. I still stayed and waited for him to come back and he did so I asked him for a menu and let him know I wanted to place a to go order. He gives me a paper menu and walks away.. I look over the menu and decide what I would like to order. I get his attention and let him know what I would like to order and he then tells me oh it will be an hour wait for a to go order. I was nice and said ok thank you, but why wouldn't of he said that earlier instead of ignoring me and I'm guessing hope I go away. Won't be back.

Not bad local place. Will come again to try something new.
Food is good, Thai ice tea is great. Was very quiet because we got there early. Lots of dining out and pick-up we noticed.

I had the green curry. Didn't taste much curry. Seemed a little watered down. The rice pad Thai was delicious.

Plates seem small if your trying to mix things together. Rice needs to be in separate bowl, so you can take a little at a time , not on the main plate. Not many people like their rice soaked for leftover which you will have.

Food was good and fast.

Great food. Best in town. Make sure you have time, it takes time to get your food.

Food quality is very cheap, I ordered the veggie pho and the vegetables tasted old, the noodles were not fresh, the broth had a sickly sweet taste, and instead of traditional basil, my order came with lettuce… disappointing is not an adequate term…

Wow. The wife and I stopped by on Christmas Eve for dinner and was surprised by the great food; From the appetizers (egg rolls, Tom Vum) to the main dishes (Pad Se-Ew, Pad Prik King) you won’t be disappointed. Excellent service! We’ll be back.

One of the worst customer service. I am not sure if it was the owner or the manager, but definitely does not know customer service.

If u care about being treated properly don't go here.

Would not recommend this place. We went there when the place was empty, we were the only one there and still the customer service was awful, manager or owner was rude and when asked questions regarding a dish, he said "you know how to read right?"
That point we left and will not go back.

The owner is very rude. Worst customer service. I would not even give 1 star but I had to in order to put review. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
