Modest, low-key restaurant offering Thai cuisine such as curries, fried rice, soups & meat dishes.
Quaint little spot with some solid Thai food. I was stopping in for some quick takeaway, so I couldn’t try the more specialty dishes. The ‘fried jerky’ was very similar to how you get it in Thailand- great snack food with a cold beer. The fried rice was very basic though- good flavor but nothing too special and resembled more of a Chinese fried rice ingredients wise (no tomato and they added corn and other veggies). I would be willing to give it another try next time I am around.
Place came recommended to me by workers where I was working at. I travel every week and I love trying mom an pop places. This place is definitely on my return to again when I’m in town again. The curry I had was so flavorful that I wanted to just drink it. Had the right amount of spice. I also had the fried fish Pattie’s which were just as amazing. Very traditional Thai food and highly recommend. I will definitely be returning again!
This place has no business being this good! I've been to Thailand, and this is as close as it gets. Small Mom and Pop type shop, but the food is super fresh, and the staff are very friendly. I will definitely be back.
the best Thai food my we ever had! My husband and I were on vacation in houston and wanted something local, Aim Thai did NOT disappoint. We had the yellow pork curry and it was amazing! We went two days in a row cause we knew we wouldn't have it for a long time 💕 I hope they never go out of business
This place is a great find!
The soup (kaew teaw)is/was really good😋. Must try.
It tastes good, just like Thai food in Thailand.

Quality Thai food for sure. Great small family owned spot. Parking is tight. Keep that in mind based on the time of day. They keep high standards here. Highly recommend trying it.
Low rating on atmosphere because it’s mainly to go but it’s damn good Thai food!
As a Metro driver I get to try different places around Houston everyday, well let me tell you about this place…you know what?? You need to come and try it so you’ll know what I’m talking about. Best food ever no matter what you choose. Omg I can’t wait to go again!

Authentic thai food. The soup was delicious. 😋
Delicious
Great authentic Thai cuisine and very pleasant service. Clean Restrooms 🚻
Do not use the W Montgomery Rd entrance or exit if your car is low to the ground! Use the Hampton. It damaged the under parts of my car. Steep hill with sharp comer at the top. Good for climbing on legs not on wheels. High Clearance cars like trucks and SUV’s less likely to get damaged.
nice little Thai place with great curry, I liked my panang a lot. Also the iced green tea was good. I would recommend also for it's good prices, especially relative to most Thai places. Curry for under 12 dollars is great.
Mi restaurante favorito todas las comidas están sabrosas
The food was the best thai food I've ever had before, the place was very comforting and nothing better than a spicy curry on a hot day. 10/10 would recommend to everybody and I'll be sure to come again. PS. Pran was absolutely amazing!
Amazing food and hospitality :)
Would recommend others to try their Tom Yum Chicken
Great Service, great food! I have a good intolerance and listened and accommodated my diet.
Ask for the fresh coconut.
Make sure yal stop next door to Dreadlock Conversations if you need your dreads done while you dine! I’m in suite A, where the purple curtain is
Wonderful customer service and great food!!! It was my first Thai food experience - but Definitely NOT MY LAST! (The owner gave us YUMMY & BEAUTIFUL PEACHES from their gorgeous peach trees in back!
I don’t why I haven’t reviewed Aim Thai, it is easily in my top 5 restaurants in Houston. I’ve been going for a few years now and it has been consistently good every single time. Now I must say, I always get the chicken Pad See Ew and it is so good. There is no place in Chicago that is as good as this place it’s a must do every time I’m in town. Not only is the food great but the owner and her family are so nice and welcoming, they recognize us every time we visit.
Went here with a couple of friends and the food and service here was amazing🫶i tried the Pad See Ew and Tom Kha soup with the crispy egg rolls and was ready to order seconds right away!! Finishing off with the mango sticky rice was the best idea ever. Good value, good prices, and definitely a place i’d come back for lunch again.
Her food is freaking good!!! I have tried a lot and she had NOT MISSED on anything. I had the soup, (I think it’s the 1st one on the menu she said it’s the most popular one) fried shrimp , FRIED JERKY BEEF IS A MUST, crab fried rice, original fried rice (we add half chicken and half shrimp) , fried egg rolls, her sauce for the egg rolls can go on ANYTHING ( I put it in my rice) , beef steak and broccoli, orange chicken and fried chicken. EVERYTHING IS GOOD.
I savored Aim Thai's Pad See Ew with chicken, modified with Chinese broccoli (replacing standard broccoli). Adding their homemade, freshly grown and ground Thai chili powder made the dish sing. A green Thai iced tea provided a sweet, refreshing accompaniment. This friendly, family-owned cafe has been around for nine years, dishing out tasty Thai noodles, curries, Larb, fried rice, mango sticky rice and more in their cozy W. Montgomery Road outpost just north of the Acres Home community. Nothing fancy, just a welcoming cafe with good home cooking worth returning for.
I love Thai food and this place always gets it right. The owners are kind and generous. This place is hands down my favorite Thai food restaurant. Would recommend to everyone.
This place is WONDERFUL! The food was very tasty and cooked to perfection; all the produce was super fresh. The people were very friendly and helpful. I wish I could give it more stars!
We chanced on this mom and pop thai restaurant after reading Google reviews. The food was delicious and coupled with great service.
So flavorful and fresh tasting!!!
I had the red curry with chicken. Highly recommend!!
Great food
Haven’t been for a few years. Food was very good. Not much atmosphere as we were the only ones eating in, there were a lot of take outs! Very small and intimate restaurant. The food is the most authentic Thai I have had here in Houston.
Amazing food ! Very flavorful I tried their pad thai and their sticky rice it was really good !
Love the tea, friendly lady, and the food was very tasty. We even got desert. I loved that they had pictures showing of all the food on the menu as well.
Delicious food and friendly service.
Delicious food and friendly service
Great lunch. Great service
Not coming back 😞
I love this place! This is probably the best Thai food that I have ever tried. It brings back all the flavorful food that I had back then in Bangkok. Papaya salad is always fresh and juicy. Crab fried rice is pretty good. And my favorite is pad wun sen. The soup or curry are the best for the cold weather. Their special are fried fishes which are so tasty! I have tried most of the food. You can’t go wrong with ANY items. I wish they have reward program since I order every 3 times a week lol.
Pretty good pad thai! Not really a dine in place. But great for takeout/delivery.
Everything was fresh, hot and delicious, the portions sizes were good too. The fried fish was seasoned nicely. the ice tea that was too sweet for me. I’ll think I’ve found my fav Thai place
Very good Thai food.
Great food at a little whole in the wall. I never would have gone there if it wasn't recommended by a friend.
I love aim I've been going there for years they're in my neighborhood have to go a considerable distance to find a good Thai restaurant their food's very handmaid style Homestyle lot of lovely people working there. I really enjoy it I would recommend it highly
My crab fried rice and egg rolls were absolutely delicious. The lady winning the front was very accommodating as it was a little warm in the restaurant; she asked did we want water, while we were waiting. Great experience for my first time eating Thai food.
Update: Since the Pandemic started, the overall elite quality has tumbled a bit. I really miss their main competitor (Thai Gourmet - now defunct) as competition made them hungry for business and good reviews. I called at 5:55 PM to ask if my 6:45 PM Pickup time could be pushed to 7:30 PM…was told “Oh, yes come here, your food is ready”! I could not believe that they made the food almost an hour early and wanted me to pickup the old food. They admitted that they “reheat” most pickup orders.
Original: Simply Outstanding Thai Food!!! This place is currently my #1 Spot for Thai Food! It even edges out Thai Gourmet over near the Galleria! Food quality is second to none, and the service is kind, calm, sweet, and humble.
This place just doesn’t make bad food. If I’m ever craving Thai food it’s from this place, better than Mint Thai for sure. Owner is very sweet and attentive. Tiger eye is the all time favorite but the fish cake appetizers were also really good! Best sauces!
Not an authentic Tai foods. Too sweet, no too much Tai spices. Broken A/C , but flies in the room . No services at all.
Excellent food

I went on Thursday evening with my partner, we had a fish appetizer, 'Red Curry ","Green Curry ", a bag of Taro and plantain chips, Green Thai tea, Thai' Coffee ☕, and Dessert. Everything was Excellent 👌, this is a Mom's and Pops Business, and everything here is Lovely. I have been coming here for years; moreover, my Grandfather loved 😍 it here and I have been a customer for years and hopefully for many more
Delicious food, friendly service. Definitely a original in acres homes.
Items I am reviewing: fish fry appetizer, fish cakes, and chicken wings also appetizer item.
I’m quite surprised that this restaurant served fried fish that was so bland. I mean no pepper or any seasonings. The wings were a disappointment. The batter was flour with black pepper. I felt that the oil used to fry the chicken was probably old; it had an odd smell to it. Definitely not a good Thai experience, far from many other Thai restaurants I’ve tried. Glad this wasn’t my first because I would have a bad impression on Thai appetizers.
I can’t speak for the curries or any other dishes.
Great food the seeweed soup delicious and wings. Coconut water in the coconut 🥥. Rate it 5stars lady was very nice too
Food was spectacular. Garden to table fresh. I have a very health concious/ vegan friend who I knew would enjoy the experience. He raved about the hot tea. We ordered fish cakes, Tom Yung kum with shrimp and bubble tea. They were outta fresh coconut drink. We will come earlier next time.
The food was extremely delicious really enjoyed it. Servic was really nice and checking up on us ,and the places was really clean which also helped enjoy the experience.
Food is delicious. Staff is very nice.
Great local spot.
Visiting Houston? Well, dine in, or order take out here. This is definitely a hidden gem. Absolutely amazing food! One of the best. This place has good food and portions. Do not judge a book by its cover. The appearance of this place gives it no justice.
Try everything here. #Houston #GoodFood
The basil fried rice was awesome!
Surprise to my shock it was pretty damn good the FOOD … broccoli pepper steak, shrimp fried rice and curry soup
The atmosphere is very welcoming and clean. Food is prepared fresh and a tasty variety is colorful and appealing.
You must try this place.
The food is fantastic, and the staff are amazing people. Don't be fooled by the quaint outside appearance.
I came here and asked the lady that took my order to give me a Thailand experience. When I took the food home that was just what was given. Everything was well seasoned, fresh and of course very tasty. I had spring rolls, pad Thai, and Thailand fried rice. If you have not visited this establishment, then you are missing out! Oh, it's also reasonably priced.
It is with the most honor and respect that I must proclaim this Thai cuisine and its creators is nothing short of an oasis in a desert. Rather a diamond in a rough. The experience ,culture and let's not forget the taste is what I must say in all respect is by far the best I've had and I express my gratitude. ( Recomended Soup and phad tai along with a Thai tea)
Tried the pad see ew, extra spicy and it was on point!
Their pepper broccoli meat dish, has no meat. It’s just vegetables. I probably has like 3 strips meat out of it
Great customer service. Food (pad thai) was not what I expected. I'll stick with curry 🍛.
This is a family owned business, the people are very nice and welcoming. The food is very flavorful, every time someone asks me where to get food from, I suggest this place.
I will be coming back here more often!
The Fried Tofu Was The Bomb Thats All Ima Say🍢😋
Flavor packed with an affordable price. I frequently order from here.
The food is a little bit over sweet🤨🥲
Good Thai food.
This place is a total gem!! Amazing Tom Yum and Pad See Ew. Tofu options are always incredible. Small hole in the wall spot. Delicious food and wonderful service. Dining area is small and cozy. If you are craving Thai this is the spot!!
1st time here I ordered customer service was exceptional and the food truly amazing, also a must try their coconut it's probably the best I ever had.
Small family owned and run Thai restaurant serving excellent authentic Thai cuisine. All the curries are freshly made using the best ingredients. We really enjoyed the food, some of the best we hVe eaten in the Houston area
Small Thai restaurant with excellent food that is made fresh.
Nice people, I would fix the place up a little. Food was tasty
Good food 😋 ❤
Food is real good 😊
Excellent
The beef jerky is delicious.
Good Thai 🇹🇭 Food
I call to place an order for pick up at 12:54 pm. They said approximately 15-20 minutes. I get there and they haven’t even started making the order! I had to wait one hour later to get by food. Are you serious?!
Panang Curry was amazing. I asked for Thai hot extra spicy but it came out mild. (Unusual for Thai cuisine) however the flavor overcompensates for the lack of spice
Very good food. Nice folks. This is my second favorite Thai restaurant in Houston. Everything tastes fresh.
The thai food was amazing! Delicous curry and orange chicken. Dont worry of hurting your wallet with the prices. But you have to get rice seperately which is no problem at all. like going to this place
This neighborhood institution remains an excellent place to introduce people to Thai cuisine.
This place is a hidden gem. The food is authentic and always fresh and delicious. I usually get the Pad Thai, but I've tried several dishes and they've all been pretty good. Just make sure to specify your spice level because some of the food is SPICY, but that doesn't stop me from eating it cause it's so good.
The sausage app I ordered looked nothing like what was on the menu and it smelled funny . On the menu were these tiny little sausages . What they brought out was a big , broken pile of meat that slightly looked like it was once a sausage . The service was zero . My dishes piled up and I had to go to the bathroom to get paper towels . I think they probably have a take out business and kind of ignore us out in the dining room . Probably would not go back . The curry was good but they don’t give you any rice to go with it .
We were looking for authentic Thai fod and we went there. The food was great! thank you the chef😊
Food was really good.
We moved further away from this jem. Ordered pick up for the pad thai. And papaya salad. It was worth it!
The wings is amazing
Soooo delicious! I loved every single bite. Super friendly service. Will be back soon!
Food is really good, made fresh and authentic . Great customer service as well.
Fresh food, great service every time!
I love that Houston has so many small restaurants to try when I visit. I like to eat local wherever I travel. Today I had the Kang Dang red curry with chicken and jasmine rice. The curry was great and I liked the addition of eggplant. The amount of basil was perfect. Service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant is clean and cared for.
The food here was really good and the servers were super nice and friendly.
The food is more American style than Thailand style, but it's ok. I'm used to real homemade Thai food so I won't be eating here again.
Yellow curry, yum.
Their Tom Yum soup is the ultimate healing brew if faced with allergies or a cold!
I highly recommend! 🙌💝
Its usually great..today it was ok.
I enjoy the food and appreciate cleanliness and good service.
Love this place. Very small but great. Served very quickly.
Wonderful little Thai restaurant. Food is excellent and we go here whenever family is in town
Very homemade fresh authentic Thai food! Owner's are very nice and friendly!
The panang and yellow currrys are all I've tried so far and those were excellent. The staff was very nice and I will be back to try other things
Good Thai food!💯💓
The food is amazing and delicious. Me and my family always enjoy eating there!👍🤗😋
Ordered pad thai and I was very impressed! Staff was incredibly kind. Will definitely be returning soon!
The food was very tasteful. We had no left over food that's how good it was 😋😄
Nice little Thai Cafe that worth the money. Been going to this restaurant for so many time and it always pleases us! Strongly recommend
Aim Thai is hands down, the best restaurant in Houston!!! Seriously, why eat anywhere else. It is heathy, delicious, and inexpensive. I could eat here, every single day, and probably will, nearly. It really is flavorful, and every bite brins me closer to bliss.
medium is a perfect spice level. I really cannot emphasize enough how inexpensive, yet amazing their food is.
The restaurant was late on prepping food. My Uber driver was very quick once he FINALLY got the food. Ice cold. I had to reheat it. I order delivery very often. No one has delivered ice cold food. The food is bad and not worth the wait for cold food. Pad Thai is so dry. Ugh I should get a refund. They can have the food back. And the people giving this place a 4 star and above, in my opinion, must eat McDonalds regularly. This place is a definite....Avoid
Awesome food
Aim Thai is just for delicious Thai food - no atmosphere, Formica walnut tables, linoleum flooring, fluorescent lighting. But the food! The owner is a hard working Thai couple who grow some of their own vegetables, run the kitchen, take orders at the counter and keep the place spotless. They have some family help too. The focus here good food at a good price.
Best Thai food in the area. I always try to stop by when I’m nearby.
I used Uber eats. The food was amazing. Fresh and soo good. Super happy I found this authentic hidden gem!!
