Review: BEST shrimp rangoon I’ve EVER had!!! It wasn’t too fried, wasn’t too brittle, was chewy in a wonderful way, & viscosity of the filling was superb. Having said that, both my Wife & I’d entrees fell flat. They were ok, just not what you’d expect given what you’re paying. Also, the layout was fine & our waiter was pretty quick but it was not busy.

Used to be the best in Reno. Now standards have dropped so much. I went back on Dec. 2024 it got dirtier. The AC ducts were black. The floors and seats OMG. Bathroom don't use it. I can't imagine what the kitchen and refers look like. The takeout food. Uneatable. I hope folks don't think this is what food tastes like in Thailand

Put it to you this way: I was broken down with my RV near the restaurant. My head was completely elsewhere and I STILL thought wow this food is amazing.

Bangkok cuisine has excellent Thai food! I got the vegetable curry with squid. The dish was extremely tasty but the squid was slightly overdone but that's a common occurrence in most restaurants. So did not deduct for that. I like the atmosphere, portions are of good size and the service is friendly and prompt. There is limited seating due to covid, they do however have take out.

I ordered chicken coconut soup and it ised to come with vegitables in it and this time there was non. A couple a mushrooms a small piece of lemmon grass and thats it.

Banging basil fried rice and panang. My husband and I travel to Thailand annually just for food and this place stacks up. We got take out on our way through Reno (we live 3 hours away and were just driving through) it held up after the drive, can't imagine how good it is fresh!

This place has been a favorite for years. Each dish I've had there has been fantastic and they've always had great staff. Their lunch specials are well portioned and reasonably priced.

Parking is a little tight, but great tasting food and atmosphere.

10/10. I usually wait till the second time I go to a restaurant that I really like to review it. Well this one completely knocked it out of the park both times. Best Thai restaurant I've been to in Reno. Especially like the curry (pumpkin curry and also Penang curry) tried a couple noode dishes also. We'll be back often! Thank you!

So disappointed. Used to be so good. The pad Thai and fried rice tasted old. My husband, who eats everything and anything barely touched his food. Quality and standards have gone down. After spending almost $60.00 and leaving hungry, we won’t be back.

I find the food here to be exceptional. I've been twice now. The chicken satay, chicken panang curry, chicken massamun, and the Thai tea are all excellent. The interior is well-appointed with genuine Thai artifacts and decorations. The service is above average and the prices are reasonable. I've been to several Thai restaurants in Reno and this one is by far the best, in my opinion.

Pro tip: parking is limited so park across the street in the shopping center parking lot.

Our daughter-in-law introduced us to Bangkok more than 20 years ago. It’s a family favorite. You can always count on the menu selections to taste the same - and we continually order our favorites with great satisfaction.

First time (who hasn't said this before). So ok... Hear me out, I had their tofu/veggie special. I know!? Who does that on their first meal? Well, this brave soul decided to try what is often found to be a misery. Well, admist the solemn world of tofu, a ray of light shines here. The entire meal was delicious and felt healthy enjoying it too. Even the deserts don't weigh heavy on the stomach.

The water is filtered and tastes great to their Thai Iced Coffee (not a mocha swirl) but still really great! The prices are fair for the quality and for the amazing friendly service. I greatly encourage you to try this place. I've been here since 2021 and overlooked it. Totally an oversight on me. I'll be returning here soon. Maybe you'll spot this goofball. I want to try out the entire menu.

Bangkok Cuisine is among my favorite restaurants for Thai food in Reno. Unfortunately, their prices have increased, along with others, while portions have scaled way down. Dine-in is still far better (in portions, I think, too), but their take-out is quite convenient.

I did enjoy the food here. The service was okay, as we had to wait quite awhile to order but they were nice but not attentive. We did have to find the waiter to order more water/drinks. I enjoyed the curry pops (curry, chicken and potato in a roll). The yellow curry was tasty just needed a bit more sauce. The flatbread that came with it and the cucumber salad were especially good. I would go here again for the curry pops and flatbread.

The food was delicious and the service was great! However, they have two parking lots on either side of the building, and the one in between them and 40 Mile Saloon is SKETCHY. I had to park in the last spot next to the street and was kinda close to the person next to me, but they had some room to adjust and get out. Well. They KEYED MY CAR. I asked Bangkok Cuisine if they had any security cameras facing that way, and they did not. How do you not have security cams in 2023? They were very nice though, but I won't be parking in their lot again if I go back. BE CAREFUL FOLKS.

This has been my favorite Thai restaurant in any city for almost 20 years. The family that owns it is Thai, and the recipes are family recipes that have been passed down. It has been consistently excellent for decades, and I have yet to find another Thai restaurant anywhere that I like better. I really love this place and would give it more stars if I could.

NOT SURE WHETHER OWNER DOES CARE OR NOT BUT HE NEEDS TO LOOK INTO MAJOR ISSUES.
1. Service (tell customers the truth about food availability, you cant change the dish by yourself )
2. Food Consistency. (Food is not the same , portion and taste . Ex: chicken Thai noodles has more bell peppers than noodles & chicken). Regular ice-cream instead of homemade desserts & no availability .
3. Should Ask customers for the final order if the kitchen is closing.

Good quality Thai food!! Everything I have had here is as close to legitimate Thai food as possible. Their noodle dishes, veggies dishes, curries, they are all top notch flavor wise. You also get what you pay for here. It’s pretty high priced but high quality. If I’m not mistaken, I think if you order online each dish is more expensive than if you dine in. The pad se ew does have a bit too much pepper but other than that, it’s all fantastic!

Best Thai food that I have ever tasted.

Had lunch there the other day with my son. The food didn't seem as yummy, like it normally did.

As you can see below, I have given high praise to this restaurant in the past. However, the last two times I was there, I had to wait much longer for my to-go orders. The first time, I had to wait an extra 15 minutes for a total of 45 minutes. They were pretty busy that night, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and the food was good. However, on the most recent occasion, they were much less busy. The host was not at the front station. When I mentioned to the waiter (who I believe might have been the owners son, but I could be wrong), I said "hey buddy, I was told 35 minutes and it's going on 45 minutes" he looked at his pad and said "it's been 42 minutes". I said, "ok, could you check on my food? I have groceries in the car". He went to the back and immediately brought my food out and handed it to me with a frown and no "sorry" or "thank you for your business". All that can be forgiven. Unfortunately, when I got home the food was cold. It must have been sitting in the back for awhile. Additionally, the flavors and quality I am used to with this restaurant were just not there. Considering this, along with how expensive this place is and how little my business seems to be appreciated. I think I will take my business elsewhere.

This place is a Reno classic. Been getting the best Thai food (EVER) here for 30 years. Flavors beat anything in LA, San Francisco or anywhere else. If you want the best Thai food you go here. Had an amazing pad Thai with the coconut shrimp appetizer. Excellent excellent food. Tried the level four heat on the pad Thai and it was just right. My friend had the five heat and loved it.

How can everything be so good?!

This place has tons of vegan options, clearly marked on the menu! Curry, soups, noodles, rice, apps, dessert you really can't go wrong with what you order here.

I've also called in while driving once and the hostess helped me place an order of a noodle dish I forgot the name of and was very knowledgeable on what was vegan and what wasn't in the restaurant.

Disappointed. Not authentic. HIGHLY OVER PRICED.
Basil fried rice was quite sweet.. Thom yum soup ($10+2) was so small bowl good for only one adult. We wanted spicy, looked like they sprinkled chilly flakes on top and served it like that…. No hint lemon grass flavor whatsoever.Gave me a bad acidity.
The Bangkok sizzle also disappointed me in terms of price and portion. Few small pieces of beef was floating on a sea of sauce..

The fried spring rolls were dripping with oil - so greasy that if you squeezed a few of them out you'd get maybe a half a cup of grease.
The Green Chicken Curry was awful. It had an odd smoky, almost barbeque smoke flavor. Never had such a weird flavor in Thai food before ever. The tofu in the Red Curry was hard, tough and cold like it had been made a few days before and tossed into the mix cold. Even the Thai Iced Tea was lousy.
The Tom Ka Gai soup was edible, but had a LOT of sugar and salt. It was the best thing we ordered, sad to say.
The really strange thing is that we had been to this same restaurant a few months ago and it was fine. It is a very inconsistent experience, and for two people to have a bill over $50.00 and have it be this bad it is not worth the risk of going there.
We have better luck at Moo Dang across the street.

Lunch was excellent and offered a full meal of soup, rice, vegetables and several choices of meat. Lunch is reasonably priced and Bangkok Cuisine is definately a great place to eat when in Reno!

Have chosen this Thai restaurant for decades. Never disappointed until today. The Beef in the green curry was very bad. Don't try and hide bad meat under curry sauce!

Best Pad Thai I've had in a long time.

This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant hands down! The curry must use coconut cream (not milk) as it is so thick and yummy. The various noodles we have tried have been pan fried perfectly. The food has a bit of spice and it trends sweeter for the American palates, but in a good way and balanced with savory and other flavors. We love this place!

Me of my favorite places in Reno for Thai food. The prices are good, the food is delicious, and they'll make it spicy if you ask (unlike many that don't think you really want that ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🔥). The service is super friendly and the food comes out quickly.

Also, they'll make trays for catering. Got lunch today for our nursing unit and they packaged it very thoughtfully (the put the panang curry pan in a bag in case it spilled in the car). Gave us plenty of plates and utensils as well.

$11 lunch special is a great deal. It comes with 2 different type of dishes and rice. Plus, it comes with a bowl of soup. My kids enjoyed the food. The service was good and I like the Thai style decoration, the atmosphere is perfect for Thai food.

We went here for a birthday dinner. We ordered the shrimp rangoons, beef strips, beef spicy basil noodle, and chicken panang curry. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Each dish was perfect. The best Thai I’ve had this far. Highly recommend.

No complaints about the food quality. However, this is the second time they goofed up the order. First time I asked for sweet/sour sauce with my fresh rolls. NO PEANUTS since I'm allergic to them. Guess what? PEANUT sauce. Second time ordering, I told the ordering person what had happened the first time. Ordered the fresh roll with plum and sweet/sour sauce. Guess what? I was charged $1.50 for the sauce, and only got the sweet and sour sauce. The online menu states different prices then were charged, and also states no rice with entrees. I made rice at home. 2 containers of rice were in the order. CHECK YOUR ORDER WHEN YOU PICK IT UP.

Tasty lunch special

It's been a long time since I've been there. I was afraid that maybe the pandemic had closed their business, and was grateful that it didn't. I parked in the back, walked to the front through the alley, smelled the incredible smells coming from the kitchen, met my friend, she ordered healthy food and I ordered my usual sweet and sour chicken. It was so good to be back! The food is excellent. Their prices are excellent. It's just a good business.

This place used to be the best in Reno for Pad See Eew!! Don’t know if there has been a change in ownership or cooks or what, but have had two almost inedible meals in a row from the Midtown location on Mount Rose. One bad meal at your favorite place and you can justify that they were having an off night…but TWICE in a row is unfortunate. The noodles are horribly soggy and almost mush. Portions have always been small and expensive here, but you can justify that a bit more when the food is stellar (like it used to be). The service staff is young and aren’t super familiar with great customer service yet…but they were polite! Lots of great Thai food in town, and I would recommend looking for another spot if you want a quality noodle dish!

Lots of food places to choose from around this area on South Virginia Street. But thankfully we were in the mood for Thai food.
It was a busy Saturday night. When we checked in, we were informed it would be about a 10-15min wait to be seated. 10min later we were seated. All of the food items we ordered were brought out in a timely manner (considering how busy they were) and cooked with attention. The temperature and flavors hit the pallet spot.

The restaurant is nice in appearance. The service is unfortunately not up to par. The size of appetizer servings is very small compared to other Thai restaurants we've frequented. The server was inattentive and had to be asked for basic things like water refills or chopsticks. He spilled part of my entree on the table and at the end of the meal never came to pick up the check so I had to take it to the cashier myself. Food wasn't bad tasting but the whole experience was less than stellar.

Seated then served a drink. Waiter checked with us. We had to flag him down to order. Only 1 waiter. Perhaps staffing issues. Excellent food and clean environment. Plenty of food per serving. We will be back.

This is my favorite Thai place in town. Their only real competition is Moo Dang, which is across the street. Bangkok's curries are amazing, as is their peanut sauce. They have a warm atmosphere and great staff.

Food was very tasty. We shared several dishes. WonTon soup was a little less flavorful than expected (without condiments), but otherwise well prepared. Server was friendly, if a little challenged on English. Prices were about average for good Thai.
