We’ve been long time customers and as of late the quality has gone down the drain. We order out quite often from them and the last three orders were bland, with no spice even though we order 9+, we’ve reached out to them to address the situation and no acknowledgement or apology. We tried it again this week before posting a negative review and the quality of the food is just awful. The portions have gotten smaller through the years but it just seems like they just don’t care anymore. There’s better options for Thai in town, I wouldn’t recommend a place who doesn’t appreciate repeat business.
I was taken here by my Daughter that had eaten here before. The food was very good, and the value was spit on for everything but one appetizer we ordered. I would give the over all food 5 stars, but I must only give the over all experience only a 4 star. The server was very inattentive and almost acted like he didn't want to be there. I will go back another time and give them a second chance. At Over $20 a person, plus tip, I'd like to feel welcomed and be engaged a bit.
Ordered through Grubhub during my stay in Omaha. Pad Thai Woon Sen noodles were overcooked and stuck together. Didn't get utensils or napkins.
Noon Saturday lunch. Not busy.
Best crab rangoon in ages. Spring rolls a hit. Mango fried rice ok, pork average, meats don't seem to matter with stir fry dishes. Pad Thai very yummy, 3 heat & 6 hot ok for old folks.
Hot tea tepid but good. Thai iced tea excellent.
Prices average.
Great staff, clean place. Nice redo of McKenna's.
Will return happily

We received our appetizers and never saw the waiter again and walked out after 40 minutes of not receiving our order. The restaurant was not busy at all when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. Only one other table and occasional takeout orders going out. There were a dozen people waiting for takeout orders when we left. Not sure what was going on but we will not be going back.
Drunken chicken noodles is my favorite. Spice level, 1-10. I don't dare. 5 is plenty heat for me. Voted best in Omaha because it is.
Update: Stopped patronizing this place. Quality, never get what we order correctly. Quantity, not enough to feed a child. Service, just the worst.

Ask for spice level 10 and they brought out level 0. Little effort were put into the food, I bet they missed some of the ingredient for my sauce.
Love it here, best Thai in town!
Went the other day the food took about 1 hour and with that one hour i can go 3-5 in the restroom making babies. Disgraceful L restaurant waitress ask me to tip him 20$
First time here! They knocked it out of the park! Great sampler appetizer, Amazing Pad Thai for my hubby and I had crispy pork belly! I would so recommend!
I’ve been a Salween Thai customer for years, but this Salween Thai , specifically at Pacific gave me and my family a terrible food experience. The meat were burnt for all the three entrée that we’ve ordered . The soup was so very bland and had no flavor to it. Maybe the other locations cooks can do a better job
I ordered Pad See Ew for pick up and unfortunately the noodles barely had sauce and were dry. I also ordered an 8 out of 10 for spice and there seemed to be no spice added whatsoever. I have had some good experiences here in the past but recently the quality and attention to detail seems to be going downhill.
Used to come to this location often and loved it. Today I ordered and wow, the quality has really changed. I will definitely be sticking with the Saddle Creek location, and not returning to this location.
Best Thai in town. The drunken noodles, masaman curry and Tom kah gai are our families favorites. And the Thai tea!
Best drunken noodle around!!! Kind servers, food comes out quick and hot.
My family has been to this place many times in the past. I personally like Thai foods alot. However, the foods have gone downhill for a year now. And it’s not getting any better.
We recently dined in there, and also ordered takeout. The takeout foods were horrible that we had to throw them in the trash. We never wanted to waste foods but left with no choice. We ordered pad thai combo, chicken drunken noodle, rice ball sausages, basil chicken with rice, sticky rice mango and Thai ice tea.
The prices are affordable. The services are slow and can improve.
I hope the owner/co-owners would give some care for this restaurant to improve the foods’ quality. When thats be done, I will come back with my friends and family. I like to support local businesses. And for now Farewell!
Some of the worse service I’ve ever had. Our food was very slow coming out. They got my order wrong and I had to wait another 35 minutes to get my correct order. During the hour and a 45 minutes we were there, never once did they stop to fill our waters or ask if we needed anything. It almost seemed like they were avoiding our table. When we got the bill I had to go to the desk and ask for a discount and, they seemed taken back. I had to explain everything to them and they only offer 10%. Never did have time to eat my food and never got an apology, so, don’t go here unless you can wait all night.
I took my girlfriend here tonight on Valentine's day. She is a florist and worked overtime with no breaks or lunch because of how busy she was, and we were both very hungry. The place was nearly empty, with ten tables occupied at most and 3 waitresses. After we waited for over an hour for our food we began to see people who arrived much later than us getting served their food. Then our waitress came over and asked us what our order was!!! I asked her if she had put in our order yet, she said yes it was put in as soon as we gave it to her, and disappeared. Then, after watching several more people who had come in after us get served, we both felt disgusted with the blatant disregard for us and left. It was so disrespectful I couldn't believe it, I've never seen a restaurant operate in such an unprofessional manner. If I could I would give this place negative ten stars.
We used to love this restaurant, but the taste of the food is not the same lately, and they need more employees, the service is really bad, the orders takes to long to get our food. 😡 The Yum wun sent was flavourless and the Tom yum kung was cold. Also the soda machine is not working and they only offer water for beverages.
Complete lack of customer service. I made 2 simple orders and they messed it up which I checked on pick up. And then when I sent it back, they made me wait for 40 more mins with no update. And my other order got cold. And was not fresh enough. Everyone kept running into the kitchen and never came up with the order. Poor service
I typically love Salween, but this one has a unique flavor profile and I prefer the NW radial location. Not as spicy as other locations. Pretty empty inside.
A little slow too get the lunch crowd back to work, otherwise tasted great, friendly
One order was supposed to have shrimp I it, but it didn’t.
I would say the pad thai is not Top rated below average 😞 Taste could be alot better also made me sick last 2days. Spice 5 level is like a 10HOT. I give them 1 Star 🌟 VERY DISSATISFIED WORST EVER.
Our go to Thai restaurant! Huge portions and we’ll priced.
They do a scale of 1-10 for spiciness and 10 is spot on. Ordered online and they were 30 minutes behind. It was a Friday. The main entrees were fresh and hot, the samosas were cold and soggy. It was clear, they sat on a shelf for awhile.
Noon Saturday lunch. Not busy.
Best crab rangoon in ages. Spring rolls a hit. Mango fried rice ok, pork average, meats don't seem to matter with stir fry dishes. Pad Thai very yummy, 3 heat & 6 hot ok for old folks.

My mom was getting take out and was told it would be only 15 minute wait. After 32 minutes, she watched seven other people walk with food. A while later, she got her food and was told “sorry we got so many orders after you came” which doesn’t make sense if the order was put in prior to these others. I usually love their food so was disappointed to hear about this. Once I opened my drunken noodles, I was further disappointed to see only 3 pieces of chicken. I don’t know if they changed their portions, but their prices have surely gone up and do not relate to what I was given. This was one of my favorite Thai spots and am wondering if they have new ownership or something because today’s experience did not translate to what I’ve seen prior.
Had the fried rice, it tasted bland, felt like they forgot to add any salt & the chicken was rubbery and undercooked despite asking for it to be well done. I’ve had the Fried Rice at the NW Radial Hwy location for years and love it, not sure why the food here is so different. They did take 10% off the bill after we let them know.
Thank you Klau for the great service.
Smelled really good when we walked in. However we walked in at 8:15pm and were told the kitchen/dining was closed. They close at 9pm. So make sure you go before 8pm if you want to sit in and eat.
I called this location since the one closer wouldn't answer. Good food and good take out service.
Yum yum! This is where we go to satisfy our Thai food cravings. Our family is vegetarian, and they do great tofu appetizers, drunken noodles, and the addictive coconut milk curries without the fish sauce. If you're vegan and like spicy food, you'll love Salween Thai! ❤️
I love this place so much! The food is delicious and the service is great! I highly recommend the Pad Thai Soon Wen with Tofu. Best pad thai in town! Not to mention, pricing is great. I'm lucky if I can go out with my fiance and spend less than $50- it was around $40 after tip and that is with an appetizer! Great deal!
The food is great. This is one of three locations I believe they have across Omaha. Nice food across all locations. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to try some Thai food. They allow you to select how hot you want your spice which is nice for people who aren’t great with spicy food.
Food was a little cold. There was no salt and spice level felt like 3/10 when ordered for 10/10 spice level. They didn't even offer to fix it even after letting them know. They gave salt and red chilli flakes to fix ourself. Unfortunately, it looks like they didn't even bother to make it right when ordered some more food.
Just know that they allow animals on the inside that are not service animals people that go there that have allergies to animals such as dogs they should have a whole different seating for them I couldn't even eat my tongue swelled up I got four bites of my food still had to pay full price for everything and I could barely breathe getting out of there I think they need to have signs that say pet friendly and servers better to explain
There was a piece of chicken in my tofu pad Thai, the red curry was completely inedible (I love it from the Radial Hwy location) and separated, and the pad see yew had 0 flavor. So disappointed and will not return.
My friends and I came here for dinner and we ordered two Thai boat noodles. When the boat noodles came, the broth smelled sour, or what we thought was the broth but it was the condiment that we put in the broth that made the broth taste like it had gone bad. We called the cook to tell her about the broth but she said that they just made the broth that same morning so it couldn’t be. She explained to us that it was the condiment, she said “it’s the condiment because they don’t put it in the refrigerator.” It was very disappointing because it ruined our appetite. I want everyone to be careful when ordering dishes that needs condiments because the condiments aren’t renewed as often as it should and it can make you sick. This was an experience, never coming back here again.
The wait staff is a little immature which is a shame because the food is really good. Heard them gossiping about what costumers were ordering and let their friends be helped before me though I was there first.
The food is consistently good. It's on the spicy side of spicy, so order accordingly. The service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is clean, pretty and comfortable. We had pad Thai and curry, both were great. The combo appetizer is also a good value.
Food was ok ordered Combo Drunken Noodle, and Combo Pad Thai , Egg Rolls, and Chicken Wings , the Pad Thai did not taste like It and had no peanuts on it ordered spicy it was not at all at a level 5, the Egg rolls was Dry , the Chicken Wings was really good , And Drunken Noodles was Good we had it Delivered it was spilled in the bag and the charged additional fee said we was out of area no more delivery also appeared like the orders was half orders in a half box not like the big box as shown and it was $$$ for 2
Yesterday was my first time trying Salween Thai. I placed a to-go order over the phone at 11:10am, since their online ordering was not functioning, and I was told it'd be about 20 minutes for my food. The food was ready when they said it would be, and I was the only customer in the store at that time. I got the steamed dumplings and pad thai with chicken at spice level four. I was pleasantly surprised to receive 6 dumplings for my appetizer! As for the pad thai, their website advises that due to the nature of their food, drop down a spice level or so from what you're used to. I didn't do that & I don't regret it! The only note on that main dish is that the spice felt more forward than the peanut taste at times. However, I will be back and try dining in.
First & last time here I ordered the cashew chicken, I seriously couldn’t eat the chicken it was so hard and dry never experienced this kind of cooking before so I mention it to one of the waiters as I’m paying for my meal I expressed to her that the chicken wasn’t edible to eat I literally only ate the veggies she quote stated “oh sorry that’s how they cook the meat here “ I said wow that’s horrible because you can’t even eat it it’s so hard to chew and she charged me anyway for the whole meal I couldn’t eat lol I said it’s ok take this money because it’s the last time I ever come here and she just shrugged and we left . Horrible food and customer service. Save your money not worth it zero stars
Salween has some awesome dishes and some of my favorite Thai food in Omaha but unfortunately the portion sizes have gotten so small that it almost doesn't seem worth it anymore. $12-15 for a meal that barely fills you up. There are other options that give you more for your money these days. Hopefully this changes
I've had it before and thr food is good, only 4 because the reduce the amount of food in the Togo orders.
I've been here twice, both with family. The Pad Thai, which has peanuts, is good. Either the Drunken Ramen or Drunken Noodles is also a great choice. The wait staff asks you to pick your spice level 1-10 for your plate. If you like flavor but not that much heat go with a 3 or 4. If you want your throat to tingle for 30 minutes after you are done eating go with 10.
Found out Korean people are cooking the food was awful today. The Salaween on Radial Road it is for me. This was not good cooking.
This is my favorite spot for Pad Thai. The staff is super friendly. Whether it’s dining in or picking up an online order, I am always satisfied!
Quick friendly service. The spring roll was tasty and fresh.
Never written a review for restaurant before but I felt its necessary as we live in times where hygiene is everything.
I would keep my eyes open and would definitely not come here unless there is a sea change. Before even going to the restaurant I know from the google reviews the food is not of good quality. I ordered Thai Tea and Sweet Rice and disappointed thorougly. The ice tea has a fruit fly which I am lucky to spot but only after taking couple of sips.
I confirmed with the waiter promptly. Requested another Ice Tea and was promptly given but was packaged so messy that it leaked.
The sweet rice dessert isnt sweet at all!
The only plus point are those waiters who greet and hear your concerns.
I once ordered from Salaween but I got the delievrye from the one which is far away from my home. So I tried ordering from Uber Eats, only to find out this restaurant doesnt deliver despite being close to home.
Overall scary and disappointing for me.
PS: If you really dont want hygienic food please visit this restaurant.
Best food E. V. E. R. Delicious and consistent every time. Would eat here every day haha
Great Thai food. The pineapple fried rice with pork was good but think next time will splurge on the combo meat, makes a world of difference!
Although there are a couple of good Thai places in Omaha, this one's my favorite. Don't expect to be checked on frequently though.
This place gotten so bad it took 35 minutes to get my food and all the stuff including managers r mean no customer service
Hate this place stuff r mean no customer service at all
Good food horrible customer service bad stuff
Not as good as saddle creek location. Okay but would go elsewhere
Please stay away from this place. I got terribly sick from the pad Thai. I will be making a formal complaint with the health department.
Very pathetic restaurant. They are going down the drain:
1. Their prices have become super expensive. They have raised it by 20-30%
2. Portion is drastically reduced, at least by 40%
3. They are adamant to serve outside, but they have chairs and tables. Very strange.
4. When you order a take out, the just throw stuffs in bag.
They are very unaccommodating, disorganized and adamant. They lost me as a customer.
I've been a customer at pretty much all of the Salween locations interchangeably for years now. My experience was always overwhelmingly positive, but things seem to be changing rapidly post-pandemic.
First, the portions are getting smaller while the prices are increasing. (Maybe supply chain issues.) Something's up in the kitchen. There's things missing - the past several times I've ordered from the Pacific location, there was no lime or fresh bean sprout garnish on top of our pad thai, and the green onions and meat were sparse. The food has become wildly inconsistent in quality - most of the time now it's just sloppy and disappointing. I LOVED Salween, and it was always my favorite Thai spot in Omaha, but now I think they've lost me.
I have so much sympathy for the staff here because I know they're overworked & there are too few of them to share the burden. Whoever is managing these restaurants needs to reign in the quality and hire more employees. If it gets better, I'll be back someday.
Maybe it’s this location because I usually have a great experience with swaleen Thai. But with our first time ordering from this location I didn’t get any sweet chili sauce with my triangle puffs (which is a must have)and the crab rangoon tasted like it had been sitting for days.
I swear this restaurant closes early or refuse to answer any phone. This is the second time I have had issues ordering 40-50 minutes until close. Is this actually a business?
Probably the place I eat take-out from the most. Their drunken noodles are Top 3 in my book, but the recent price surge in their food has us not ordering out as frequently anymore.
Don’t recommend
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !! I went with my family couple of weeks back and reached there around 7:55 PM and per google the restaurant was supposed to be open till 9 PM. When we reached there the waitress said that these days they were closing the restaurant at 8 pm. When i enquired as to why the google mentions it as 9 PM, she was not at all empathetic to the customer and replied crudely as she doesn't know about it. Her tone was unapologetic and was as if the customer was at fault.
Excellent food and service
Went in for early dinner. I was one of three tables. I ordered steamed dumplings and Pad Thai with shrimp. The food took way too long to come out. The appetizer and main dish came out at the same time. The dumplings were good, the Pad Thai was just ok, it only had 4 shrimp, 3 normal size and one tiny shrimp, noodles were extremely greasy and seemed over salty. I asked for a knife and it took the waitress about 10 minutes to bring it to me. Waitress never checked on me, I had to get up and go to the bar area to get a refill of my water. The restaurant was dirty, there was trash and dirty napkins under my table. The bathroom was dirty as well. I told the staff, but they didn’t seem to care.
Good food but customer service is terrible
Best Thai food and great atmosphere!
Price of food is increasing while food portion decreasing
Salween Thai has delicious meals for a reasonable price. Their menu is extensive, offering options for even the most picky eaters who may want to try Thai food.
Only drawback I have seen is their online ordering system for pickup is not the best when you have to choose between “takeout” or “pickup” which are essentially the same option.
Don't trust their online descriptions. We've ordered from here multiple times and have always been very pleased, today was a different story unfortunately. We ordered two soups which we have ordered before and are listed online as having coconut milk in them, they are usually creamy and delicious! Neither of our soups had coconut milk in them today, as confirmed by the employee we spoke to on the phone. We requested a refund as this is not what we ordered and the soups cost around 12 to 13 dollars a pop, not cheap. The employee on the phone said they couldn't trust us and we need to bring them back for a refund...excuse me but it is your restaurant and online descriptions that cannot be trusted. Will never return or recommend again. Also portions were MUCH smaller.
The food is always amazing and service is top notch!
Bad food & service
I’ve been to lots of Thai restaurants. This is one of the worst. The waitress let us and the other 3 people wait at the door without saying nothing. She just passed by so many times with out even looking at us. Finally she got us a table, we waited for the food so long and turns out my pad thai was so salty and I couldn’t eat it. I normally eat really salty but this is just too much for me. I told the waitress and asked for extra cucumbers. She didn’t even say a thing. Pad thai was all stick together when it came for some reasons. Another thing is that, it’s so cold inside, I understand the weather is not good today but when you see many customers wearing coats while eating, maybe you can turn the heat on?? Overall, very disappointed.
Service was terrible. And there’s lots of grease on my credit card when I got it back. Will never come here again.
Fantastic Thai food at a great price! Can't wait to go back!
I've never written a Google review for a restaurant - I usually just keep my opinion to myself and decide to go elsewhere if I don't like an establishment, but the experience at Salween was so bad that I felt compelled to write a review. Salween Thai used to be the best Thai food in Omaha. Unfortunately, such is not the case anymore. I ordered the Tom Kah Gai at a spice level of 9. First, the soup didn't have any chicken in it. This resulted in essentially a bowl of soupy coconut broth with mushrooms. My first bite was also a huge chunk of ginger which I had to spit out. I also didn't enjoy the bite of woody lemon grass that I also had to spit out. Additionally, the heat was at about the level of franks red hot, not anywhere close to what you would expect for 9 at a Thai restaurant that boasts it's spice levels. My partner got Drunken Noodles - not terrible, but absolutely nothing to write home about. The prices are also through the roof - I recognize that costs have increased for food/labor/etc. I'd be happy to pay for food that is exceptional, but this was not. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else.
Food was good. Portion was waay small compared to other locations I've eaten at.
Quantity is not worth the price. Cold food served. Avoid this place at all costs. There are far better Thai options in town.
Higher prices + smaller portions = never going back
I feel cheated.
20-50% price increase + smaller portions = lost me as a customer.
I used to eat at Salween 2-4 times a month but this will be my last time. In addition to increasing the price for this dish by 20%, they’ve also been cutting down the portion size significantly. This is about half of how much you used to get. Even the containers they use are a lot smaller now and the food still doesn’t fill it. This is something a couple of my friends have noticed as well. Other dishes have had a bigger price hike such as pad thai with a 50% increase.
A price increase on its own is fine but not when you also serve a much smaller portion.
Shame because I used to really enjoy eating here.
Tasted like airport food that you choose from that has been in the metal bin for 8 hours - the only good item on the $60 takeout we wasted was the steamed dumplings - everything else was horrible and I feel like I was ripped off.
Food was good but the customer service was very poor. We were ignored and left waiting for over 15 minutes even though we ordered our food online over 40 minutes earlier.
Good thank
So great. Nice size portions and the staff were in it.
Pacific street location has good service and friendly employees. Saddle creek location has poor service and poor employee attitudes. We had to walk out of saddle creek recently because of it. Too bad they won't get our business again. Avoid Saddlecreek location. Pacific Street much better.
Actually, it's Yamato Sushi and it is fantastic!
Usually very busy so sometimes there's a wait, but the food is worth it.
Food tasted great. Veggie pad thai had no veggies in it other than some scallions and bean sprouts. Portion was small and amount of tofu was not sufficient.
Highly not recommended! We went to this place at lunch time on Friday! It was very crowded! We got a table and placed order but did not get food for an hour. We assumed this was expected as there were just 2 servers and a lot of people that were dining in. When we followed up to see the status of our order the lady said it would take more time. We had to wait for another hour and even after 2 hours of wait WE DID NOT GET OUR FOOD!!!! It was extremely disappointing and frustrating! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Love how spicy they make their food by request!
Always good food. Nice place and always clean!
I wish the service was a little more attentive. We had to ask someone walking by for a box because we hadn't been checked on.
Ok Thai food. The main course was good, but the apps were terrible and clearly just reheated frozen things.
I have eaten in and gotten take-out from this location. Their food is consistently excellent! Vegetarian options are also good. Their drunken noodles and pad see ew are my favorites. One of the best Thai restaurants in the area.
I ordered a pad Thai noodle combination. I didn’t get get, I found 2 pieces of chicken and 2 shrimps. Really? And 5 chunks of beef. It was really bad. Not even sent chili sauce with the order or forks
Coworkers ordered takeout for lunch, I got the fried dumplings which are always good. Opened the lid to find there was a 2 inch long hair right on top of the dumplings. Killed my appetite.
Good food. Love the pad thai and their bubble tea is really good as well
Food that tastes THIS GOOD makes me make noises that sound inappropriate in public #sorryNotSorry
The egg rolls. The honeydew Boba tea. Every freaking thing on the menu. My favorite was the mussaman curry. I wish this restaurant was next to me so I could eat there several times a day. It made me actually emotional and I could cry tears of joy, bliss, and extreme sadness bc I only rarely get perfect tasting food like Thai these days.
Overall, the food was good. The service was horrible though, which is why it got the three stars. Staff was inattentive and would barely stop long enough to take our order; they acted like they were annoyed that we asked for drinks, etc. Would go back but probably only for takeout.
Good food
This place is worse. customer service is very bad. They say they open until 9 pm but they close everything at 830. people are extremely rude and very bad experience.
I was with my bf and we ordered the wontons and egg roll appetizers plus the drunken noodles and some curry. It was a spacious restaurant and I’ve never been before. I had an overall good experience but I’m giving two starts because I’m on day two waking up sick from food poisoning. I think they gave me food poisoning because I was sick the next morning after dinner and my bf finished my noodles yesterday at work and came home with an ill stomach as well.
We ate our takeout on the patio. Very pleasant.
Never going back there again. Bad staff.
We waited for the water but didn’t get to drink it.
Take your own water bottle with you.
The yellow curry with chicken was excellent. I ordered an extra serving of jasmine rice which surprisingly only cost me $1. The restaurant was half full but the to-go orders were flying out the door. That tells me their food is very good. I'll eat there again this weekend!
I got fried egg rolls, yellow curry (spice level 3), had samosas - everything was delicious!!
Service was slow. Sit for about 15 min before even got water. Then only half way full. Other that came in after get service before they take care of the one that been waiting for
service. So service was terrible 🙄 3 waiter only 5 table. Wow 👏😮
Mediocre food and horrible service. Block off your afternoon, you will have a long wait for no reason. Wait, there is a reason... they understaff.
I been to other Salween Thai locations but this is my first time at this location. Our waitress was nice and friendly but the service was pretty slow (i guess because they’re shorted staff). The appertizers (Fish cake and fish tofu) were very tasty. The entrees (mango fried rice was good too), yum wun sen salad was not good because the glass noodle too dry, crispy pork belly was terrible because the meat too tough and hard to chew, no crispy at all. We might be back to try different things though!
Absolutely love this place. Always great food. If you're new to Thai food try the beef pad see yew. I have never had any complaints with this location or saddlecreek
Awesome Thai food! I’ve tried their Pad Thai, Ramen, Curry and many more! And I have not been disappointed yet! My favorite thing to get is Shrimp Pad Thai with 3 level spice! I always suggest this when friends want Thai!
My wife and I eat at a lot of Thai restaurants. I have tried the Pad Thai at them all. Saleen Thai Restaurant has some of the best Pad Thai I've eaten, anywhere. My wife had the Kana Mu Crob, which was unbelievably flavorful! The waitress was polite, and responsive without being intrusive. This is definitely a must for Thai lover's!
My wife and I were looking for a nearby place to eat following our visit to Nebraska Furniture Mart. Their location is near 72nd and Pacific only a couple minutes away and decided to check it out. The place is large and nicely appointed and we were greeted and seated almost immediately. We asked the server for suggestions and she took the time to explain several options. Our appetizers and food arrived promptly and tasted good to our inexperienced (to Thai cuisine) palates. Soda refills were prompt and plentiful. We also observed the phones were answered promptly and every customer, including ourselves, was helped with a very happy manner. The server/hostess could not have been nicer. Yes, we would visit again.
I ordered shrimp yellow curry and even paid 2 dollars extra for the shrimp! They gave me chicken yellow curry and the chicken tasted very gross, like old!
Even though this has been my favorite restaurant for a long time and they have been notorious amongst my friends for turning down dine-in past 8:15 or 8:30 pm even though they say they are open till 9 pm or just closing down early because it was a slow evening.
Today I had requested for my Penang curry to have extra coconut milk and what came back was exactly that - my Penang curry with an extra pour of coconut milk dunked into the regular amount of Penang curry. The chef probably just gave-up on cooking and decided not to balance and proportionate the milk with the curry paste. They also charged a nominal fee of 50cent for the extra “Sauce” - I guess i just paid for my curry to taste worse.
Secondly during a pandemic one would probably not want to accept your appetizer after it has sat on another customer’s table for 10 minutes. The server quite casually brought it back on to our table giving a smile that I could refuse. Later the other customer waived back and everything should be all good right?
I should probably get tested tomorrow.
And this is my favorite restaurant. 🤦🏻♂️
The food is always very good. However, the wait staff are always very rude. We dine in often, but not once have we been asked if we would like a refill on water. Whenever we ask anything, always very basic requests, we are met with annoyance from the staff. The food is great, but the service is always horrible.
Literally don’t even bother showing up. Messed up ordered 4 times. Asked what I ordered twice. Forgot dishes. Messed up on dishes. Just don’t bother coming.
Id give a zero if I could. This place gave us the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced. DO NOT EAT HERE.
Outstanding location for delicious thai food. the service here is above par. bring your appetite because portions are generous.
The food was good, nothing special. I will say though that it was very hot and fresh when it came out and the service was quick and easy. I recommend this place to anyone looking to get a quick meal or even take-out.
They we kind of busy so it did take quite a while. Tasty overall. Phone ringing non stop in the background.
Great Thai food, very customizable with protein and spice levels (1-10). I personally love spicy food so I always get something in the 7-10 range, if you don't like spice as much probably stick in the 0-5 range.
At times they are a bit slow at bringing out food; however, it is always worth the wait!
Employees are wearing masks, keeping place clean. Their online ordering system always works great for pick-up.
This place may have the recipes. But they DO NOT have competent front of the house staff. Horrible. I've been left on hold for 8-10 minutes when trying to place an order. So I decide to drive to the resteraunt while on hold. Guess what? No one at the front desk. No one in the resteraunt. No one in the dining room. No one in the parking lot. Waited another few minutes and knocked on the front counter. Finally some one comes out. Knew she put me on hold. Took my order and insisted I pay before picking up. So I have time to write this, sitting in my car. Waiting a total of over 35 minutes to get dinner for us. Pathetic service. You can bet back of the house is same or worse.
I got the drunken noodles (level 1), fried wontons, and fried dumplings. Everything was delicious! I've never had drunken noodles before this so I don't have anything I can compare them to but they were great! I felt the meat to veg to noodle ratio was perfect, not too much of anything. The wontons and dumplings were tasty too but I wouldn't say they're anything special or amazing. Highly recommend overall!
Best Thai in Omaha
Clean and inviting atmosphere, very friendly waitstaff, and delicious food...what more could you ask for!? I had the Drunken Noodles with Chicken and it was great! I went heat level 10 and it wasn't bad. I will definitely be back!
Favorite restaurant by far! Drunken noodles, red curry and pad Thai are all to die for!
Great food, but service is very slow
Absolutely horrible experience tonight, my mom ordered the yum wun scent and it smelled and tasted like feet. Then when we nicely told the waitress, Bu she was extremely rude and we were still charged for the disgusting food that only had one bite taken out of it. Never coming back again.
the food was very bland and there was no fish sauce in anything. had to order a ton of extra condiments just to make the food not nasty.
Good food, clean, good service. I'd go again.
May be the best Panang Curry I've ever had!
